If Slaanesh is all about excess, why not have the opposite of Noise Marines, who take silence to the extreme?
>Masters of stealth
>wear soft shoes everywhere
>even breathe almost silently
>exclusively use non-verbal communication
>advanced silencers on all weapons
>prefer to use blades, cause quiet
Because, if they take that to excess, they wouldn't want to hear anything. So they would avoid battle in favour of locking themselves in a soundproof room and then trying to silence their own heartbeat.

>they wouldn't want to hear anything.
so they go to battle to make everyone shut the fuck up
>>49002536
Not when ejecting themselves from a ship in an escape pod gets them silence much quicker.
>>49002489
It's not so much excessive noise itself as it is aural stimulation. The opposite would be a lack of stimulation which isn't Slaaneshi at all.
>>49002520
So you're saying a Buddhist monk could be a Slaaneshi cultist?
>>49002587
They don't take excessive silence far enough.

>Vibrosword outside range of hearing? Works like a phase sword
>Mass area weapon that (Noisecancelingheadphones) the entire area?
>Effective/Happy because in the true absence of sound, one can only hear Slannesh
Love everything about space :p
often forgotten/deepstrike due to sleeping in stasis/insulated sensory deprivation tanks
Could we go further and say, slow biofunctions/replace noisy organs with silent ones?
"I can't fucking stand how loud my hair growing is"
Noise Marines prolly already do this in their off-time for fun honestly.
I think the issue here is that a hunt for sensory deprivation has a a defined endpoint. There exists a point where you receive no aural stimuli.
The hunt for more noise/stimulation doesn't quite work that way - you can always do more drugs, play lounder music, have better sex, make a better painting, a more sublime poem. There is no end point in the hunt for "more".
Also, isn't it easier to just remove their own ability to hear things?

>isn't it easier to just remove their own ability to hear things?
NO
THERE MUST BE NO SOUND. NO NOISE. EVER. ANYWHERE
>>49002671
You can still feel those horrible vibrations in your skin, even without ears.
Remove sensation, ala Nurgle.... why can Nurglites hear? (Only pain removed?)
More = Longer periods with no sound,
Noisy Blood,
Noisy Skin Growth
Noisy Radio signals in my teeth
Noisy fucking cells wiggling around!
Get me some Goddamn Cryo-Tech!
I'm not working anywhere but deep-space with my freeze-ray!
>>49002746
Point still stands, though. It's avoidance, not attraction. Doesn't feel very Slaaneshi
>>49002805
The question is then,
can one have an Excess, of Nothing?
I think so, I've had Too much of Not a Thing
>>49002489
Probably exists, but when would you ever hear about it?
>>49002582
This. The Chaos Gods never struck me as high-concept/interpretive guys
>>49002489
annon annon annon... in space no one can hear you scream.
