I'm going to be running a game soon, and I was wondering if anyone here has worked with this system before? I'm trying to make some sort of template for working with "flow" and I'm having difficulty.
Have any of you figured out a system for working with it? Any tips?
Stories?
I always see people make stalker threads, maybe you should wait for one of those

I uh, I'm the one making those.
Usually.

There was a thread a while back that had something. Hope it helps: https://yuki.la/tg/48013331#p48014570

Thank you kind anon
Another issue I have with running the game is in regards to rules dealing with anomalies and artifacts (there aren't really any rules). Anybody able to elaborate on how they handle them?

That's kind of the point, actually. The creation "rules" are a very soft set of guidelines, with much of the rest of the work done by the GM. Once you have the most basic of details for your anomaly or artifact you're just supposed to run with it, like the Flow system in general.
With how anomalies and such are made it seems like the best bet would be to generate a set of ten or so before a session, and during the session you toss them in as seems appropriate.

I'm excited, because tonight I'm running our group's first stalker game. Ive got a map layed out, and a few alt routes planned out as well.
I'm liking this system because I can simply wing most of the maps and encounters without needing too much prep.
I like the idea of making a list of anomalies, I'm going to do that right now.

heh, OP here, that was my thread.

Yes, even systems that rely on a lot of improv benefit with a bit of prep work. Good luck, anon!

Hey OP, you may be up for a treat, or want to burn me on a stake, depending on how you feel about d20 modern.
Give me a minute and don't run away.
It's based on the game though.

Here is a WIP pdf of my stalker homebrew for a game that i'm currently running. It's probably an uncomprehensable mess(Especially the GM section) for anybody that isn't me, but it just works. See if it can help you in any way.

Thanks, I'll read it before my game tonight.

For when players move around i print the in game maps for the zones and treat the different points of interests as places they can interact with. Pic related. You can also add your own if you want.
Between the Zones they travel for a couple of hours and must use the navigate skill.
i take the maps from http://zsg.dk/Walkthrough.php a very nice stalker related site. Hope all this also helps. Good luck with your game OP.
