Are there any actual writers or authors browsing? Ones who've actually had published books and had some sales?

I guess that like pretty much everybody here I would like to say I actually published anything but I would be lying if I did

Aaron Demski-Bowden was here a few years ago I think. Try summoning him maybe.

I know a couple who do or used to before they got published, but writing to a deadline is pretty time consuming so they focus on that.

there was a thread in 2011 where both Aaron Demski-Bowden and Scott Lynch both showed up.
Aaron Demski-Bowden and Scott Lynch, show yourselves! By the power of these >>48930099 dub dubs I command thee!
The Dark Heresy devs browse here and insert /tg/ memes into published work.
The Relic devs may or may not have been fa/tg/uys. They used 'drive me closer, I want to hit them with my sword,' but that one got beyond 4chan.
I hope the WFRP 2e devs hang about. You guys put together a good product there. It's too bad they never let you finish the stuff you guys had in the future.

I know Vox, the guy who does DLQ, is a published author. He also wrote for Pathfinder I think?
Soma might count in a decade when/if he finally gets around to publishing his book.

I was paid when I was 13 to have a short story published in some ezine.

some of the WoD guys are relatively active in the WoD general

Publishing? Anyone, ANYONE can be a published author these days. Just write some pap and sell it through Amazons self-publishing thing. A few fools are bound to put real money down for it eventually.

Self-publishing counts about as much as jerking yourself off counts as losing your virginity. A book that didn't pass through the hands of at least one editor and didn't convince a publishing house to throw shekels at it is not a published book.
