So, I'm going to run a GURPS campaign that's kind of like Scooby Doo mixed with Welcome to Night Vale, but creepier. Just trippy as hell and sometimes funny. I'd like to know any suggestions you have for where to find inspiration.
>Scooby-Doo
>Night Vale
You just named two.
Follow the mechanics of a Scooby episode (Rumours, Interview, Clues, Scary Moment, Hijinks, Dumb Luck, Showdown, Unmasking) and mix in your favorite flavors from NV.
If only there was some kind of incredibly popular piece of media in which an outside agent has to investigate a small town filled with quirky characters hiding an unnerving mystery.

Deadly Premonition?

No, I was thinking about the majority of X-files episodes.

Scooby Doo mashed with CoC could lead to hilarity if you want hijinks mixed with mind bending horror.
Do the whole 'villian is in a rubber mask', reveal, the players find clues that the spooky ghost is just the janitor only for it to be a tentacled monstrosity that immediately tries to eat a PCs face when they take the mask off.
Then introduce sanity loss

Unknown Armies might help you a bit.
It's certainly got "weird shit" in spadesPersonally, I'd run it in UA instead. But if you wanna use GURPS, that's your prerogative.

Do you guys think that Scooby Doo makes human like sex noises when he fucks other dogs? Like does he grunt and talk dirty with his doggy accent?

GURPS Creatures of the Night 1 to 5? GURPS Horror?

Remember, Swery swears he never saw Twin Peaks.

You're kidding, right?
It's only got a few hipster-esque fans, and even they're finally giving up on trying to push this garbage series.

Never heard of it, but if it's similar to Twin Peaks, I'm in.

I need to rewatch that. How's the new series?
>>48920073
That's an interesting idea.

I like GURPS because immersive.
>>48921110
Only if they're talking dogs too.
>>48921137
Thanks for the suggestions. Mostly I wanted just weird shit you all have heard about. The dancing plague, that kind of thing.

Are you the guys who've been laughed out of /tv/?
Is that why you're here? Looking to try and call attention to your poorly acted, poorly written, and above all else poorly directed series?
>>48922501
Dude I've been on /tv/ twice and both times were to talk about movies.

Why are you so angry, bro?
