Seriously, there was a Harry Potter update s few days ago that is missing, and probably others.

Can someone please make a real thread?

>I'm not sure she comes with Enlightened Essence on her own, actually. The charm mentions that the Splinters only get the non-magical traits I guess Adorjan could have an upgrade giving her that, but it doesn't seem to be included in the description...
>I do know she comes with "maximum human rating in all traits", which would includes Essence 3 as well as 5s in every ability and attribute (10 for wp).
>So even if she doesn't, it should be easy enough to teach her.
I think actual maximum human rating in all attributes might be having a merit for each attribute that raises the cap by one. So 6. That was the case in story teller, and Exalted did the same with Legendary [Attribute]. So Adorjans Splintered Gale Mortal would probably have every merit it is possible for a human to have, and every mutation available as a merit a human could have. Basically Captain Americas superpower, highest possible potential in anything a human could achieve.

>And more importantly, there needs to be a NO BACKSIES clause so Adorjan cannot reabsorb her for the experiences/lols/whatever.
>Oh right. Good point, I should put that in. Probably put it in the notes.
You may want to specify she can be reformed from a breath if slain even if your companions do not have default immortality, due to what she is (like how pokemon had unconsciousness instead of dying because of the world they are from)

>She's really, really good at sign/body language.
I thought even the Silent Wind occasionally spoke in a whisper., I remember it saying she did to the man she had her daughters with, a least.
>>
How are you supposed to get Speedster from Arrowverse when it counters all your out of jump stuff, and then progressively counters your in jump stuff?
>>
I need more item fusion perks.
>>
>>48869364
What is wrong with that anon making a message to a jumpmaker into the edition?
>>
>>48869364
>Can someone please make a real thread?
Or assume this is not a troll, and jumps really are missing from the drive?

You remember when that one anon added all those jumps to the drive because others were not adding their jumps, only the jumps were not even current?

That stuff happens when ignorant fucks like you assume this is a Troll and not a polite request.
>>
>>48869385
It's not that hard, especially if you take the drawback that puts you on Lian Yu.
>>
>>48869385
That was changed, get the newer version of the jump off the drive. Now Speedsters are just immune to whatever you have used to beat a previous speedster.

A friendly reminder not to post while sleep deprived. My notes are a mess and i fell alseep on my keyboard trying to post last night.

Also It's not the Jumps are gone, Google Drives is being really weird try incognito mode and you might pull them up.

Still catching up on last thread will post repaired versions of my Gauntlet in a bit.
>>
>>48869502
So, is Aether Initiation something that has to be accomplished in-jump? Also, why would I want to? What's so good about it?
>>
>>48868325
To be fair, you only have limited amount of drawbacks that are in the jump and they range from annoying to hard to "OHMYGOD"

And Quincies aren't outdoing everyone actually. They are okay, Vollstanding is supposed to be their Bankai level power up but you can't get it without buying a 800 cp Final Release, while Shinigami CAN get Bankai and Arrancars can get Segunda in next jumps. Quincy capstone is a 3 times per jump Path to Victory, except you are only aware of steps you have to take. Being Hybrids forces you to take certain drawbacks

And you got three premade transformations/shikais/etc of each race at end of document. And there is going to be a supplement to make your own.

SB actually made a good jump. I'm surprised.

Are we finally free from Bleach?
>>
How many of you actually just bought the arrow to get a Stand and made the stand yourself, instead of rolling it?
>>
>>48869464
>they can't be beaten by your out of jump powers and abilities. Once you beat one solidly enough to prove yourself superior - not just eking out a victory but proving you have surpassed them - another one will show up who can't be beaten in the same way.

So out of jump stuff, except maybe items?, can't beat them. Once you start using in-jump powers, the next speedster automatically counters them.

You could beat them maybe 4 or 5 times before they are pretty much invulnerable. It's like giving them God Hand.
>>
>>48869555
None of the drawbacks are that hard, though. Any one of the capstones puts you easily at end-game Bleach levels even without training, and you just get stronger from there.
>>
>>48869568
This exists, Anon.

I analyzed it. I am surprised.

>>
>>48869568
Do you mean the shitty bleach jump? No the new SB one is only slightly less shitty. If you mean the manga/anime then yes and no, the horror of the manga has passed but the anime remains.
>>
>>48869555
>>48869612
Friendly reminder that this is the same guy who made the generic hentai jump.
>>
>>48869349
>>48869429
>>48869444
The fact that several files are added with the version number in the file name, but Captain Brutus removes that info when he moves it does not help.

Why are you removing the version numbers from file names Brutus?
All that does is make things even more confusing than they should be.
I know Incredibles USED to be v1.65 before someone 'fixed' it so you cannot tell anymore.
>>
>>48869641
The Generic Hentai jump is better.
>>
>>48869580
Actually, is there a way that Stands are determined in canon?
>>
>>48869604
+100 drawbacks are annoying or such.
+200 might cause trouble or problems.
+300 is... it depends on your bodymod and such skills.
+400, when you consider what classifies as Captain? Like ZARAKI KENPACHI and Hitsugaya and others? WIth their Bankais? That's hard. That includes Espada. The other one, it is a really hard compulsion on you.
+600, well... The first one will be actually trouble, especially if they tag team you. Is it Edible is really strong compulsion. Deicide "You've seen Aizen's Shikai. He knows your abilities, what you are, and has planned accordingly for something like this."

Let that sink in.
>>
>>48869656
Generic Hentai should go on the drive!
>>
>>48869678
You are aware that one of the capstones gives you power on par with penultimate BBEG post-macguffin, right?
>>
>>48869604
So what? Other high powered jumps let you buy your way into the top tiers without drawbacks, why shouldn't Bleach?
>>
>>48869726
Care to name any?
>>
>>48869719
Which one

>>48869726
*Coughs* Naruto has no drawback limit *Coughs*

And also lets you get power comparable to end game stuff from start, or almost.
>>
>>48869555

Always hate things needlessly being pushed to post-jump.
>>
>>48869365
>I think actual maximum human rating in all attributes might be having a merit for each attribute that raises the cap by one. So 6. So Adorjans Splintered Gale Mortal would probably have every merit it is possible for a human to have, and every mutation available as a merit a human could have. Basically Captain Americas superpower, highest possible potential in anything a human could achieve.
Oh right, I completely forgot about those merits. Make it 6s in all attributes, 5s in all abilities then. Plus maximum specialties everywhere, of course.

And yeah, basically Captain America, except also peak in every single skill. Though I'm pretty sure Cap doesn't also get complete mastery of skills like that. Also, a question since I'm not too familiar with comics, but does Cap also get peak human Charisma/Manipulation, Appearance, Intelligence, and Perception/senses?

>You may want to specify she can be reformed from a breath if slain even if your companions do not have default immortality, due to what she is (like how pokemon had unconsciousness instead of dying because of the world they are from)
That works nicely, yeah. Will add that.

>I thought even the Silent Wind occasionally spoke in a whisper., I remember it saying she did to the man she had her daughters with, a least.
Oh, I think she can, yes. Technically. Doesn't mean she would do so to the one I'll have handle the Companions.
>>
>>48869385
Take it with the Tech background. Create gadgets like the Cold Gun. Fuck him up.
>>
>>48869748
Dragonlance lets you become epic level without drawbacks, unless you start waving your dick at the gods there is little in the setting that can threaten you.
>>
>>48869750
The "stealth" origin's gives power comparable to Aizen's post-hogyoku.
>>
>>48869714
Under lewd, maybe, but certainly not in the main part of the drive
>>
>>48869714
Agreed. I've already jumped it.
>>
>>48869748
Just off the top of my head?

Overlord. SMT. Fucking Dragonlance lets you buy your way to a level 29 Caster in 3.5 D&D for just under 1000 cp. That's not getting into the fact that the capstones have buffs that make you even more bullshit.
>>
>>48869580
>buying the arrow
Why would you bother to do that? You know where the arrows will be. Go get one.
>>
>>48869804
But what if you don't?
>>
>>48869612
Drop in capstone plus invaded zim dna perk plus the dna fusion from Jurassic park. Become a Martian krypotnian hybrid that's 3x as good as it should be. Works even better if you take the dna from a high tier dc jump. Such as new 52 or silver age
>>
>>48869714
Why? It's terrible. I don't mean "it's lewd, burn it!", I mean it's just badly made.
>>
>>48869794
The current Banned/Lewd Folder is a parasite but having an actual folder like that as part of the drive would be good.
>>
>>48869726
>So what? Other high powered jumps let you buy your way into the top tiers without drawbacks, why shouldn't Bleach?
Some people automatically had any thing associated with Red, and will say anything assiciated with them is terrible and needs to die in a fire.

Others are the same for Bancho,

The hard on for SB is the same thing, just the new old 3 min hate from the shitposters.
>>
>>48869789
Still weaker than SMT 1000 cp races. And Endgame Naruto.
>>
>>48869755
It's actually more like:

You either get the perk to start with Bankai or Segunda Etapa, or you get them next jump automatically.

>>48869789
Okay, THAT part doesn't make sense especially since it's Stealth. But other than that?
>>
>>48869835
Are you retarded? That kind of shit is banned. We don't allow it.
>>
>>48869800
That's easily fixed though. We just ask the jump maker to fix Dragonlance and, bam, not more buying levels.

Hey! Can someone contact the Dragonlance jump maker and ask him to change the jump to reflect this?
>>
>>48869828
since when did "it's terrible" stop anyone?
>>
>>48869835
>parasite
Why?
>>
Are we going to have another battle of Powerwankers VS Nerfwhores? It feels like one of those is about to happen again.
>>
>>48869822
Then track down Diavolo, keep an eye on him, and when he steals them from the excavation team steal one from him.
>>
>>48869860
Why fix what isn't broken?
>>
>>48869765
Super Serum enhanced all the good things about Cap, which made him pretty and made his personality admirable, made him smarter but not really in a genius way, and morally upright, but they didn't innately make him good at manipulating people. Cap's charisma is more a product of being such a great guy you admire him, rather than sweet words.
>>
>>48869860
I'm okay with that. Does anyone know how to contact Epicureanon so we can get it changed?

>>48869800
Good call, we should get that fixed.
>>
>>48869827
That's not how it works.

It's just that you have three times as high chance to succeed in successfully adding biology of others to yourself. You know that Naruto's thing of "1% chance to implant bloodline into person without them dying" thing? Now it's 3% chance
>>
>>48869847
>But other than that?
Well, the drop-in perk, or whatever it was that gives you full access to a being's abilities if you are only 1% of them. Shit like VtMB's blood potency -- you're now on fucking Cain's level. That's just one example; but among other things, that is absolutely bullshit.
>>
>>48869726
Buying your way into the top tiers is boring. You should start as powerful as the main character does at the start of the series, no stronger. He wins, you can too.
>>
Do Plum Juggler (jojo stand) copies retain powers? If you make a copy of yourself, does it have yours, if you make a copy of Superman, does it have his?

Do copied magic items with charges retain their charges?
>>
>>48869863
It is a folder made by That Guy, no one can modify it, and no one can add to it. It is literally just there to be a nuisance at this point, doesn't even serve the purpose of holding banned or lewd jumps.
>>

>>48869841

It's Aizen after Hogyoku was REMOVED from him completely.
>>
>>48869406

>>
>>48869894
He's in the IRC pretty regularly. Why don't you go ask him?
>>
>>48869863
It's literally a parasite in the sense that google automatically lists a folder made by anyone at all that links to another folder in the later folder's tree, despite them not being made by the same people.

We should get someone else to make a folder that links to the jumpchain folder to see what that does.
>>
>>48869847
See, it used to be a flat buff to your spiritual pressure, but then people pointed out how stupid that is for the background that's supposed to be stealthy.

So then they BUFFED it to give you enough power to get the same phenomenon as Mugetsu Ichigo and Butterflaizen, where "lesser beings" are simply incapable of perceiving their enormous reiatsu.

Because fuck actually working to make something sensible, I guess?

>>48869800
Daily reminder that if you go anything other than Divine or Arcane in Dragonlance you are literally doing it wrong and need to stop jumping. Both of those can do anything the other backgrounds can do better, and being stuck with game mechanics to get your levels instead of "growing into it" just makes you stronger.
>>
>>48869894
No, fuck off.

Aether Initiation grants access to a branch of Charms that are basically bargain bin Dragonblooded charms, which is really good for Mortals Because that makes it the third option for getting charms as a Mortal, beside Terrestial Martial Arts and Terrestial Sorcery.
Other than the re-skinned Dragonblooded charms it seems to be focused around graining power from the infinite realm of dreams, so you might want that for reason.

>>48862579
>Re. Rakshka Charms
Actually like Mortal's you have to reach the Root of the Perfected Lotus as on of the Fair Folk before you can even buy your first Terrestrial Martial Art, the fact that the Fair Folk get to buy Terrestrial Styles as an Aspected Dragonblood instead of the unauspected mortal is the awesome part, at least that how it's written in GWM.
>>
>>48869894
I wasn't saying it was bullshit in that it should be nerfed you cockmongler. Just that it was very powerful. Are you retarded or just baiting?
>>

>>
>>48869860

>>

>>
I don't think I've ever seen him speed-shitpost this fast before.
>>
>>48869898
I think it was just originally meant to be like "If you are half dragon, you actually get power as if you were full dragon"

I don't think the jumpmaker expected the VtMB shit.

And Blood Potency is not how much % of Cain's DNA you have
>>
>>48869948
Who cares? The original jump was god awful, so much so that the only time people bring up Bleach is to bitch about it. And it probably won't go on the drive anyways.
>>
>>48869942
>>48869949
Make us.
>>
>>48869952
You do get powers of full Martian even if you are half martian. If you are Half Kryptonian, you get powers as full Kryptonian. That's the true power of this perk.

If you had 1/3rd chance of succeeding at implementing something in your body, it is now 100%
>>
>>48869953

>>
>>48869948

Yep.
Characters with the Aether Initiation Charm are marked: for the rest of their lives, their voice has a subtle resonance that can be recognized by anyone familiar with the Charm's effect. Such
characters also "sound" different to anyone who has the the Whispers Background, both Abyssal and Faroran versions. For Dragon-Blooded, learning this Charm also grants the requisite
enlightenment to learn Celestial Martial Arts. Finally, as a primordial-level effect, a character with this Charm cannot ever become consumed by Oblivion.
Have a Dragonblooed.
>>
>>48870015

>>
>>48870003
You are the only one, it has been talked about quite a bit before no one has had a major issue with it before. You are samefagging hard to get something nerfed, if you had an issue with it you should have said something before it became a part of lots of people's builds.
>>
>>48869945
>>48870000
This. Gauntlet you need to nerf this immediately, something along the lines of, "This provides no additional benefit if you're an Exalt, Dragon-blooded or otherwise."
>>
>>48870028
>Slams his fucking fist into the 4chan table.

Everytime Bleach was brought up it was "Even if people accept a new jump, it has to be made when the manga is finally over because then it would have to be updated again and it would suffer from same issues."

Now we got a new jump. A jump true to canon, jump that will have Zanpaktou/Hollow and such creation supplement and has some custom ones near bottom of document listed, three of each kind of racial thing.
>>
>>48869953
Same. It's lazy to let people buy levels. I'm all for getting rid of that or if not just getting rid of that shitty jump. Someone else can do a better job.
>>
>>48870043
Are you that one butthurt anon who hated the idea of a Dragon Age: Inquisition jump?
>>
>>48869945
Pretty sure Mortals can just take Terrestrial Martial arts without needing to take any specific Charm for it, they are naturally able to do so as Creation-Born as long as they have control over their essence.

Raksha, on the other hand, do have to take Root of the Perfect Lotus to take any Terrestrial Charms

>the fact that the Fair Folk get to buy Terrestrial Styles as an Aspected Dragonblood instead of the unauspected mortal is the awesome part, at least that how it's written in GWM.
Not true.

To quote:
>This mutation allows the raksha to learn Terrestrial-level martial arts, acquiring new Martial Arts Charms at the same experience point cost paid by Dragon-Blooded.
It doesn't allow you to take it for the Aspected cost, just the same cost as normal DBs.

>Yes, but that's with training from hell and a Celestial tutor. This Charm allows you to learn them on your own.
Nope. It takes 2 charms TWO. That are actually useful on their own, for a Dragonborn to learn Celestial Martial Arts.
And this is a gauntlet, where every CP Perk takes that much CP in drawbacks. Stop whining.

>>48870122
It hurts.
A lot.
This Charm allows a character to learn and develop Charms with the Aether Keyword. However, much like learning Sorceryor advanced Martial Arts, it has special requirements. First, this Charm has no standard training time. When
Priestesses of Gaia learn it, they are isolated in the wilderness with a group of specialized trainers. These tutors then subject the student to a series of physical, mental and emotional ordeals, designed to strain their body, essence and will to breaking point. Thus, by being pushed right down to the doorway of death, an individual may perceive the deepest desire to live and strive that marks the presence of Aether in their own soul. Or, so it is hoped: the danger of the test must be legitimate, or at the least the inductee must be convinced it is.
Mechanically, the character must expend all their virtue channels, essence and willpower down to zero and suffer enough damage to inflict a -4 wound penalty, and then continue to spend willpower every action (regained through stunting or Motivation) until their player succeeds in describing an appropriate three-dice stunt to tap into the power of Aether. The character then expends the experience points to learn this Charm immediately. As a one-time effect, the character immediately regains all their essence, willpower and virtue channels and is healed of all damage.

There is no aspected cost. If the Martial Arts skill is favored for that character, then it is cheaper. by taking a CP Martial Arts perk that gives Martial Arts potiential, one would assume MA was fovired for you.

>>48870341
Both yes and no
Yes you have to take the drawback and fufill the Initiation before the end of your jump.
No because...

The manner in which the Priestesses do it is not the only path: theoretically, a character who fulfills the mechanical requirements could achieve Aether Initiation without training, if their circumstances are dire enough. The flood of Aether into their body is extraordinarily Obvious, as pure white Essence surges out of their anima and a chorus of Aether's harmonious Voice resounds through their surroundings. Regardless of the method, unless given special dispensation, a player must always play through the initiation with their Storyteller; it is an incredibly profound spiritual event for the character, on par with Exaltation itself.

The Priestesses do this by pushing themselves to very edge safely, you can be in dire straits and just get it if you are put in the mechanical position above.

Hm. Re-reading Scroll of the Monk (ugh), you appear to be correct. Mortals pay 12 favored, 15 unfavored. So it's a little better to take the charm compared to a DBs 10xp and 12xp, if you're investing in Martial Arts.

Not sure why I thought it was just a flat 12 for Mortals. Oh well, now I know better.

>This is not actually a boon for DB's; the writers, in an effort to make mortals suck, just raise the costs for everything for mortals in addition to the caps.

Just got caught up on the last couple of threads and thought I’d drop in.

While I’ve played in and run a couple Dragonlance campaigns my real love for the IP is in its narrative. As such, when I thought of the DL jump I thought of it in terms of narrative first. However, as I did want to make it as representative of the setting as possible I included crunch support on the back end. Without getting too far into it, were I to build that jump today knowing what I know now the end product would look very different in terms of content. All in all, I’m pretty pleased with the look of the jump.

All of that is neither here nor there.

Here’s what I’m putting out there: if there is significant outcry over the ability to buy additional levels I will look at restructuring that portion of the jump. Also if there’s anything in the jump proper you’d like me to take another look at, now’s as good a time as any to say so.

>Lethal Damage.
Basically you have to wish and long for life despite being tortured to the the point of near death. Filling your health levels with bashing damage with Bashing fills the mechanical points but that leaves the fluff standpoint, but no one thinks full bashing feels good and the human body can be put through a lot before it takes even one lethal. The point is to make the priestesses feel like it, but they've been doing it for a while now and have a good way of doing it, thus they have a safer route than say, you having a shounen moment in the face of that Infernal.

There's also a bit in the first chapter that explains something that I always found a bit confusing. In some of Unit 01's videogame appearances, it can be equipped with the "F-Type Armor" with extra weapons and armor and AT Field focusing devices. What always struck me as odd about it was that its ultimate weapon was not the N2 rocket launcher it had, but a lighting gun called the "Impact Bolt". You'd think the N2 bomb would be stronger. But ANIMA states (and considering that the guy writing ANIMA also designed the F-Type it should be taken as canon to those appearances) that it's actually a gun that fires bullets made of white dwarf star matter, and the lightning is just an electrical discharge from it passing through the atmosphere. Which is awesome.
>>
>>48870697
I think letting us buy our way into being stronger than any character in the setting and probably most Gods is a bit much. Maybe cut it down to a max of 10? Remember, Dragonlance is a low-powered setting, where adult dragons are basically a TPK without a Dragonlance.

In homebrew campaigns, these are gods who built an entire material plane. Which is infinite and makes the other planes in a D&D setting look like a joke.

Gods in some D&D settings are just seats to be filled by someone powerful enough but in Dragonlance they are Capital G Gods.

Yes?
No?
Maybe?

The Priestess of Gaia kinda worship a Primordial but I can't remember how Gaia Worship is treated by the major Religion, the Immaculate Order. I think it might be involve lots of fire though. Finding them is going to be a bitch and a half, they stick to portions of the world that best represent Gaia in their eyes and Gaia is...
My Kinda Woman
Gaia: The Mother of Life is tied to symbiosis and evolution. She is pure and primal in her savage splendor, and is always searching for what is missing in herself and in the world. She rests rarely, and is strongest when pressed to her limits. She cares for the world and for all life because she has given of herself to them, such that there is a part of her in the land and in every creature. The Maiden of Plenty acts on strong emotion and cannot accept cold logic, which in turn causes her to fear technology. Caught up in her own unlimited energy, she can be thoughtlessly cruel but remains beautiful even to the victims of her terrifying power.
Half-Caste Solar's draw tons of attention but depending on what you can provide them they might.

>Having trouble with "Who's This Bozo?" for LLC and Jennerit in Battleborn - does anyone actually want an OC Companion option there in addition to canon Companions, or was I dreaming too big there?
>No idea what to do for Drop-Ins in Sonic SatAM.
>Tenatively claiming Warcraft 1: Orcs & Humans

And now, the larger announcement.

I've been looking back through the drive at a number of my older Jumps, and I've discovered they can be split into three categories - ones I'm happy with as they are (including Vandread and Captain Harlock), ones I'm not entirely happy with and considering working on, and ones I'm not happy with but don't care enough about anymore to do anything about (such as Johnny Test).

That specific case, for instance, was something I referred to as "airing my demons," meant in the ancient days when it was forged to make Jumper suffer. Seeing as I don't care enough to do anything with it anymore, nor do I really care anymore if someone ignores the "don't kill any main characters" thing, I'm at a bit of a loss on it. I could just put it up for adoption, which is the thing that requires the least work on my part, and I really wouldn't mind if it sat in adoption purgatory forever.

But that got me thinking.

So after the latest crop is done and I've gotten my plate clear, I'm going to go have a look at my older work, ferret out which ones I'm happy with as-is, which ones I'm not and still care about, and which ones I'm not but don't still care about enough to do much about, and I'll get back to you on it.

tl;dr - potential updates at an undetermined time in the presumably-not-far future.
>>
Can Terrestrial Exalted choose how their aspect manifests physically? Like if I'm a fire aspect, can I choose not to have red skin? Or can an air aspect choose not to have blue skin?
>>
>>48871220
>does anyone actually want an OC Companion option there in addition to canon Companions
It would be nice but it isn't necessary, letting us make a "blank" OC in place of an import is a standard way of doing it.
>>
>>48871220
Sabaton's great, tho.
>>
>>48871250
Not in-character, but out of character you're free to choose how they manifest. It's not a uniform thing. I figure it's fine if you want to decide how they manifest, getting to shape how your form adjusts to your background in a jump is one of those assumed abilities.
>>
>>48871220
>nor do I really care anymore if someone ignores the "don't kill any main characters" thing
I really want to kill some of them, it is the only reason I would go there actually.
>>
>>48871220
>SatAM drop in
Ixis Naugas. He is literally the best example of a drop in in the entire series. Pops in out of nowhere with no prior mention, capable of powers that are completely out of context, and considering he was trapped in the Void, technically from another dimension.
>>
>>48871220
>No idea what to do for Drop-Ins in Sonic SatAM
Do you have a "human" origin yet? You might be able to make them the origin that gets to stay human, maybe base them somewhat on Robotnik and give them robo-perks.

>Updates for other jumps
Neat.
>>
>>48871250
They can't choose, no.

But there's a bunch different ways it can manifest, and unless you take Legendary Breeding (or get seriously Old) it doesn't even have to be obvious.

Here, the Aspect Markings examples of Fire Aspects:
>The skin of the Children of Hesiesh typically has a reddish tint, and their hair is often a similar color. Breeding and age deepens this tone, growing a deep crimson in the most powerful. Some older Fire Aspects are known to exhale smoke as they speak, and in rare cases, their hair can take on the aspect of flame or their skin grow hot to the touch, as if the Terrestrial were taken with a deathly fever.

So, you could have flame-hair and heated skin, or something.
>>
>>48871220
The only thing I'd like to see done would be to add shrinking magic to fairy tail.
>>
>>48871283
That is one of the ones I'm happy with at present, yes. I had as much fun making it as you could guess.

>>48871278
Would

>Shares your Faction
>is about equal in combat prowess and gear to the canon Battleborn starting out
>is of one of the races of your Faction

Work for that, then? Or are you looking for a single-person Import with the option to also make a blank OC, seeing as the current import is a group import?

Or both?

>>48871358
This.

I wasn't here when the update happened, but I would like to be able to purchase Brandish's magic.

I think it's funny how you don't really get art of these old Dragonbloods with obvious manifestations. Same for Infernals and that bit they get from their demon.
>>

What I meant was that imports usually give an amount of CP for that companion and that you could use that to instead provide the starting powers of a blank OC companion. Whether it is an individual or group import option doesn't really matter.

Dreams of the First Age is a set of books about the First Age, one of them contains a bunch of high-essence Charms. Those are canon, but hit by Errata a bunch.

Ink Monkeys was a blog with Charms. Pretty sure it was declared canon at some point.

>>48871544
They try to explain how RM works, but it just raises more question.
Pretty much, treat it as a physical form of mana that's also crazy dangerous if unrefined, like it's radioactive. Refined RM is always a liquid, otherwise it's pretty much mercury, except obviously red.
Red Magic is using the potential of RM to tug at how the world works and change it, conjuring fire or moving water and such. As for Redblood's Trance, it lets you mess with the spirit of things. If someone's wearing armor that makes them invincible, you can use the Trance to destroy the armor's spirit and make it rust and fall to pieces, or just destroy the wearer's spirit and kill them outright.

>Without getting too far into it, were I to build that jump today knowing what I know now the end product would look very different in terms of content.
As the jump maker, you CAN give yourself permission to make that jump and let people take it also, as long as it was in a different time period. The fact you tried to shove how many campaigns and editions of Dragonlance into one jump was not my favorite.

The Rolls for locations and time periods bothered me for a couple reasons. One, different times are not really locations except in Chrono Trigger, where you can actually visit all the time periods. You are basically charging charging 50 to choose a jump (when each jump should give 1,000 CP) abd locking out all others.

Also, you are misunderstanding dice distribution. rolling multiple dice creates a bell curve, where the choices are no longer equal. The middle choices are more common, and the ends are extremely rare. This is not how jumpchains should work. If you have to do it that way, place jumpers choice in the most common spot, and the nicer locations around it, with worse spaces near the upper and lower bounds.

The Ogre/Irda. Neither are the original species. A option to buy both for the original species should be there. Especially since you could start in that timeline, or Drop In as that race,

The racial restrictions on certain perks like Dragon Highlord should be waived for Dropins, or even entirely. Jumpers blow racial restrictions out of the water, since you are HOW many different races at once, and the benefactor places the info directly in your brain, and can buy perks from different lines in other jumps.

Question about level equivalents, cam you fanwank them intelligently? Like if you buy warrior and mage perks, have that mean you are an Arcane Warrior or an Abjurant Champion, or Hedge Mage and Tower trained could mean you trained both together as an Ultimate Magus? Since separate unrelated classes do not make a lot of sense.

Anon. If I have to choose between a Bleach jump made by people who care, who are actually accepting feedback and are still ironing it out, and if they PDF it, and release the supplement for Zanpaktou, Ressurections, Volstanding and Fullbring,

Then well, my little anon, I will jump the fuck out of that jump.

They are discussing SCENARIOS now. They are discussing making changes to the perks that were considered too strong when made aware of exact reasons of why they are too strong or offered alternative.

The only thing I will miss is blueprints. And even then, one of item capstones is Bount and such blueprints.

>>48869898

Caine's power is from the Mark of Caine, issued by an omnipotent God (which he answers to) as a Curse.

You can at best wank that it gives you Antediluvian power levels, but even that doesn't make sense. The Perk gives you the full power of a Vampire if you are only 1% Vampire, it doesn't make your actual vampiric powers any stronger at all. You're far better off with Kryptonian DNA or something.
>>
>>48871632
It has three Zanpaktous, Three Fullbrings, Three Ressurections and Three Schrifts/Volstanding created as choices, and you will be able to make your own with supplement. One of the Fullbrings is basically Pocket Sand.

>Fullbring : Jaws of Sand
>Normal Form : A heavy navy coat, dark blue in color.
>Active Form : The coat grows a large hat which shadows the face. in addition, the left eye glows red. the sleeves become armored and ragged, and claws grow out around the hands.
>Active Effect : The coat acts as high grade armor, completely nullifying light blows and lessening strong ones. the claws are decently sharp, and are somehow fully manipulable as though they were fingers. Finally, the clock creates a slipstream effect around the wearer, allowing them to move at blinding speeds. The pockets contain a few handfuls of sand, to be throw at high speeds.
>Super Form : the sides of the coats front grow teeth like structures, that can be fired like missiles and regrow quickly. the arms gain some as well, but do not fire. the tail of the coat becomes an actual tail, with a single scythe like blade on it.
>Super Effect : The coat generates sand from its pockets, which overflow and scatters as you run. at any point, you may call all or some of the sand back to you. it will move towards you at your maximum speed, and return to your pocket. you cannot take damage from your own sand.

It has limit of one capstone per origin, but races have different rules.

Can evoltion powers like Evo:Search for Eden copy mutant abilities from Marvel? Well, at least one should be possible, given that every mutant is their onw jump in evolution.

Huh.

Well, I have a tab open with thread. This was brought up and they are considering changing it to just having your power work in a different way while still having as much as you did, with perhaps a little bonus.

A different frequency or something about it just being a depth, a third dimension in two dimensional world. It's like having a flat sheet of paper, and then you have a cube or cuboid made out of paper of same size. The same amount of paper, but if you had to perceive it from two dimensional perspective, it seems less than you.

Meanwhile the Schrifts are complete invulnerability, PTV on how to kill stuff with your bare hands, and a power that only got beaten because the target was a crazy psycho (and for some reason has a weird arbitrary nerf on its Volstandg). But don't worry, because you can take the Ichigo race and get one of everything.

Is there anything scary about the Neopets jump? I'm not very familiar with the setting.
>>
>>48871768
Fullbringers do have the whole Human racial perks stuff though that would help. Hell, if I am reading the Human Capstone, it keeps you at your full potential despite anything that would lower it like damage, and gives a slight boost when stuff is dramatic or such.

The sand can return to your pocket at your own max speed.

Combine that with speed perks and, well... You know what a mass of sand flying at speeds of sound is like?

To be frank, anyone that actually takes your gauntlet is stupid. Not because it's bad, but being a mortal in exalted no matter how many or what perks you take, without any out of setting powers, is mental and physical suicide, and that's not even accounting for the drawbacks.

I'd even go as far as to say that its a trap because of the presence of brainwashing bullshit in exalted and the total absence of anything that can protect against mental influences basically guarantying that you'll die physically and a decent chance of dying mentally as well.

Like, it's straight up a chain ending mind death with no chance of recovery because the damage was suffered without mind protection perks.
>>
>>48871733
>X-men movies, Young Justice, Mage: the Awakening.

To be fair, these jumps don't really put you in the "top-tier". Or well, they put you at a high-tier, but not quite top-tier.
>>
>>48871882
Eh, not really. The fairies got turned to stone by a local Mage, and their floating city got dropped into the earth. The only reason they were turned back is because some other local tricked and defeated the Mage.
Also, the Darkest Fairy, supposedly the ultimate evil, got punched out by two local adventurers.
>>
>>48871879
I honestly think that after approving stuff like the current Naruto Jump, Overlord, SMT and Dragonlance in t he drive recently, we can't hardly comply about being overpowered.

Seriously, there are more than a few jumps where you can start your chain as a planet buster. And none in Bleach has that.

You're thinking of Xandra, and what she did with that artifact. Pic related.

As for the Faeries, they're powerful alright, but most are benevolent. The biggest threat among them is the Darkest Faerie, and she gets dealt with in a console game (and again during the Altador event if I recall) so you should be fine.

Dr. Sloth, on the other hand, was there before the Faeries got there, and wants the place back, but he's been inactive for a while. It's implied in at least part of his backstory that he's older than Fyora, or at least was experimenting on pre-Faerie Neopia for some time before she got there, brought sunlight, and made things green and growing instead of an ocean of mud (it's not clear how she did this or why).

>jumps where you can start your chain as a planet buster

Maybe some that offer planet-busting /technology/, but none that let you start as a bona-fide planet-buster. Barring Asura's Wrarh, but it takes a shut-in of work to get there, and you have to dip pretty heavily into drawbacks.
>>
>>48871906
It's very hard to change someone's core identity through social combat. You basically have to capture someone and torture them until they break, which people could do in any jump where you're depowered if they really wanted.

I think getting dream eaten by the Fair Folk is the worst you're likely to face, and even then you can just choose to fight to the death with no real consequence.
>>
>>48871442
>Honestly at this point I think I will next time I update
Take another look at the descriptions of the powers. A lot of your powers are WORSE than the actual powers.

The Archive magic seems to be able to download info/skills into others (and probably upgrade them)

The Rules of the Area charges 1,000 CP for the ability to shut dimensional effects, when the real ability includes spacial manipulation abilities itself.

And you have random rolls for both, when neither seem to be magics you just have, but magics you need to learn.

Do you have evidence ANY of the high end magics are ones that just show up randomly, as opposed to things you have to study/be trained in?

you are not making people roll for what their innate talents are, you are making people roll to see what they chose as their post graduate degree.

Is there a reason Requip does not give you a hammerspace inventory like every other requip in existence. Why make it dependent on an external storage when no other requip magic has that limitation. Let it connect to the warehouse, but it still needs to give a proper inventory like the spell does.

Alright, that's you opinion and I can understand the angle you are coming from, however social combat that effects you on the level your talking about is the same as someone torturing you for days on end, because the changes to your Intimacies won't stick without repeated scene after scene reinforcement which is possible for anyone depowered ever in any place with sophisticated torture practices. Most of the people who actually want to do that kind of thing are Exalts who do it to other Exalts and basically treat mortal, even Mortal Heroes like yourself, like background pieces.
In one Destiny I've written a Solar and Abyssal do just that all the time. You are amazing to anyone with less power than you but to these two you are just the lucky side-kick who you get into shit and throw into bathhouses for giggles, and the 'other guy' whose near the Solar and can be safely ignored. You're not in any danger unless you try to get into their fights because you mean that little to them.

Eh, they're close enough that I'd say they're top-tier. Especially Young Justice. You can become "More or less powerful than Fate... depending on your other Perks," and Fate is second only the Spectre in magical power. On top of this you can have the fighting skills of Batman and the inventiveness of Lex Luthor.

X-Men Movies lets you start out with Xavier's telepathy, Apocalypse's hyperdensity control, and Quicksilver's speed. You're more powerful than any mutant except Apocalypse himself (and Phoenix, whose powers don't come from being a mutant).

Mage: the Awakening lets you start out as a Master of your Sphere with eight Companions each of which is an Adept in their primary Sphere and a Disciple in their secondary. That's more than enough power to bulldoze anything short of an Archmaster or high-tier Splat Elder.

Not him but YJ Dr.Fate had troubke with Klarion, so your definitey not getting near comics Dr.Fate with the perks in YJ and a view magic boosters. Also X-Men does not give you Quicksilver speed, that speed has been calced at like 100+, while you are soft capped at 40 needing to actually devote time to increasing it. You also have to dip a lot into drawbacks to get that much power.

X-Men Movies starts you with the potential for what Xavier does. You're a psychic scrublord at jumpstart.

As for Super Speed- you're kidding, right? The actual QS could run laps around you without even breaking a sweat. His first appearance would match your softcap, while the version that fought Apoc (and lost) would finish the race while you've just barely done the first lap.

No comment on the rest.

Can I just say that I find it weird that despite how much exalted has been talked about the last few threads, that we've seen surprisingly little in the way of combos or big megaprojects involving them.
I'd have at least thought there'd be some talk of stuff like plans to mass produce souls and other such bullshit to create multi-exalts, or to come up with plans to engineer bullshit super-exaltations of their own. There's been no plans to mass produce Primordials, or doing any weird bullshit with the Wyld, no infinite essence loops, nothing.

Like, what's wrong with you guys, have you lost any capacity for creativity?

And nothing but Lord/Muse has shown star-busting.
>>
>>48872236

Klarion is a world-grade realtiy warper. He's near the top end of the YJ top-tier.

While Quicksilver is faster than you, you're still orders of magnitude faster than any non-Quicksilver mutant and have no need to fight Quicksilver. Even if you fought, you would win because Apocalypse's durability would let you tank him while Xavier's telepathy made him your ally.

>>48872271

No, you start off as powerful as First Class Xavier, which is more than strong enough for 90% of situations. The only difference in feats between First Class and endgame Xavier is his global reach. First Class can already edit memories and mind control people with impunity.

No custom charms above e5 (which admittedly isn't nearly as much of a limiting factor to Solars/Lunars/Abyssals as it is to Terrestrials and Infernals) and the no perfects rule mean that you are honestly better off jumping Star wars if you care about hax and long term power. Quick question to the Fae anon.
Does a Mortal with a Grace gain the ability to use the grace to say 'The Sword can be used to feed upon the Valor of others and to overwhelm their Conviction.' or is that Fae-Blooded exclusive? >>
>>48872508
To be fair though, the perfect stuff was most of what made them so powerful. An exalt jumper with full perfect charms and some perks to use less essence/regen essence faster would end up being able to run perfect defenses/attacks 100% of the time and do shit like cockslap comics derkseid's omega beams away and not only stop comics juggernaut but beat him like a redheaded stepchild for daring to offend you with his presence. Because perfect defense means nothing can harm you while it's running and perfect attack means you get to harm the enemy no matter what (barring perfect defenses)

The Drawback Section is basically unreadable because of the colors used.

>Death Knights must be evil in alignment
No. Do not do shit like this. The only other person I know of that pulls "you have to act this way" in races is Brellin. This is dumb; do not do it. You are not paying 800CP (which is way overpriced for the benefits) to be mind raped into being evil. And not just any evil, D&D's retarded alignment system evil.

Dosh needs to be buffed to be enough money to actually pay CP for..
The default amount should be basically free as starting money, but many who have backgrounds would have a lot more in implied background savings.

How about Wealth By level, free. And Wealth by any measure for CP?

CP Items should be a bit better then the stuff you can find in setting, not just the same stuff. Like the Dragon Lance should be one version, with a special "good luck finding it anywhere else" and can grow to full mounted size, or shrink to infantry, dagger, or toothpick size for easy transportation, and any size in between. Power based on size, durability never decreases.

Like the spellbooks and scrolls, those are nice! Could you perhaps combine them so you could cast spells from your spellbook like a scroll?

Like the 40,000 things I Hate about you, but not the "do what Chaos Says" What if it tells you to kill yourself or turn the High God into a unicorn or something impossible or chain ending? Better to keep it at "keep it alive for 10 years"

The War of Three Masters
> If you cannot defeat them, they will claim your power and your place in your adventures
This is just Edgy McEdge Lord. keep it at the usual stuff, like "your chain will end"

>What Price Power?
Takes a really long time. Line multi thousands of years. This would be better with a shorter time limit, like you were giving Paladine a vacation from keeping the Kender alive. Either a fixed 1,000 year stretch, or you take over form him for 10 years a century, one year in 10, whatever
>>
>>48872383
I can't be bothered to meaningfully argue about this, but consider how this particular option stands against the rest of the jump.

I find it difficult to believe YJ_Anon would make one Perk that much more powerful than literally everything else, assuming any of the bullshit thread has stated Fate to be capable of is true.
>>
>>48872423
it's not The tank ,It's just Named after the tank Because Babylon Has a weird sense of humor.
>>
>>48872610
Not really. If nothing else, no perfects is necessary for powerlevels to even fucking exist. If everyone's throwing around perfects all the time, all that leads to is boring as shit stalemates. No one can ever win because no one can ever do anything that can trump anything the other guy is doing. At least now a fuck huge laser beam the size of a planet can't just be fucking perfect dodged.
>>
>>48872650
>perfect attack means you get to harm the enemy no matter what (barring perfect defenses)
No it doesn't. Perfect attacks only make sure you hit. You aren't guaranteed to do any damage, and probably won't, because Exalts suck at offense when not aiming at someone who has 2.333 times as much health as a peasant.
>>
>>48872650
Yeah, I don't understand why we can't keep Perfect charms Perfect. Perfect Defenses burn a fair amount of Essence per go, have one of the Four Flaws, and generally can't affect all attacks anyway. Meanwhile, Perfect Attacks just automatically hit, they can always be tanked.
>>
>>48872664
>Death Knights must be evil in alignment
Note that your alignment is something you have to choose in this jump regardless.
>>
>>48872650

Even nerfed Perfect Defenses should work fine against the likes of Darkseid and Juggernaut. They allowed Exalts to trivially ignore the attacks of canonically infinite-sized beings (Theion, Cecelyne), so anything below hyperversal level should be handled easily. Just because they have no feats against the likes of Elder God Demonbane doesn't mean they would have issues against mere sub-infinite beings.
>>
>>48872688
Isn't it /really/ important in Dragonlance, more so than in other D&D settings even?
>>
>>48872653
To be fair, the fact that you can be as smart is Rick is the same issue with the DC jump: the thread has this bizarre notion that being intelligent enough to build time travel machines, planet busting tech, and all sorts of other shit is somehow less overpowered than being able to bench press 1000 tons.

And ha, no way is Touhou even close to universal. And End-jumps are End-jumps. Not to mention, nothing in Exalted ever gets beyond universal level. Everything beyond that is wank.

I... Think you mean feeding on their Valor? Not with just a Sword Grace, no. You'd to Ravish them to feed on their Virtues, through the 'Ravishing the Created Form' Charm or Cup Shaping Attack.

The Sword Grace allows you to make Sword Shaping Attacks, which allow you to Vex your victims. Against Creation-Born it's basically automatic and perfect robbery if the "damage" of Shaping attack exceeds their WP+Essence.

Feeding's pretty much always Cup-based.

*Eye Twitch* *eye twitch again* So Rick Killed Trigon… After spending the whole jump ridiculing me for “dressing up in kiddy pajamas and going playing hero with my friends” and causing enough trouble for any two super villains he had basically banished himself to his lab looking through technological junk I had collected on my trips.

Then Trigon came and everything sucked. We wanted to head off world because we didn’t want to screw up the plot but the annoying super team decided this would be a great chance for a crises crossover.

I fought Trigon for a while and for a mortal I did pretty good. He was still going to murder me 5 ways to Sunday but I had actually knocked him down and drawn blood which he even said that they would sing of my accomplishments in other planes as well as the unbearable torture he was about to put me through for doing so. So he got serious and stated to hand me my ass. He could have killed me at any time but he wanted me to suffer.

Then here comes Rick, who had apparently tinkered with my Green Lantern ring blueprints to be able to absorb despair, fear, hatred and self-loathing. He blasted Trigon through a few buildings and then the fight was on.

Well I didn’t know it at the time but Rick had further modified the ring; it didn’t need a lantern it absorbed ambient energies. So the more power trigon used the stronger rick became and the weaker trigon became. Eventually Rick obliterated him and absorbed what was left in to the ring.

Then the Oans showed up not happy that I had made my own ring again. Rick just tossed it to them saying “Oh, look the Calvary, G-great timing guys *Urp*; you just missed the bad guy. Hey make yourselves useful for once and get rid of this for me.” and walked away.

THE SWORD
The Sword Grace is the source of the raksha’s Valor and her lust for Conflict. Except perfects are the worst fucking part of exalted and would actually improve the setting by being removed. That shit isn't kosher in jumpchain. Jumper bullshit is all mostly founded on the back of stupidly high amounts of resources and investment, not actually retarded bullshit like Exalted nonsense. Perfect defenses aren't allowed to be perfect in any universe, otherwise it's just overpowered regardless of the setting.

>I can't back up my statements so I resort to denying reality

Even pre-crisis Darkseid was so afraid of a mere universal-level infinite (Anti-Life Creature) that he gave into despair and Fate had to save his ass. Current Darkseid takes damage even from Batman in power armor.

Deflecting canonically infinite beings puts perfect defenses at universal level at a minimum. Doing so trivially with 100% reliability puts it at a much higher, though unknown level. But it should have absolutely no problem dealing with the likes of Darkseid and Juggernaut. Especially considering how often they job to sub-planet tier opposition.

>>48872683

I believe E7 Solars can do arbitrary, if finite damage with a single Charm, though at a limited attack rate. Doing Graham's Number damage (or even a mere googleplex^googleplex damage) in a single attack is probably at least stellar system level.

There's no reason to miscontrue the feats Exalts do have. Trying to underestimate them will only give the No Limits Fallacy defenders more ammo. Exalted feats are respectable, though not on the level of Elder God Demonbane and the like. No more, no less.
>>
>>48872871
Honestly? I feel like you should just ask him. When asked in the thread, he clarified that it wasn't a nerf, just permitting for the fact that Perfection isn't only beatable by Perfection in the context of a crazy high powered omniverse. The problem is that conceptual/whatever effects within Exalted aren't very well defined in the Dragon-Blooded jump. That does, however, suggest that attacks based purely on energy and force won't have much luck at penetrating perfects.
>>
>>48872827
A planet busting attack should destroy an exalted 'perfect' defense. That setting is too low powered in every other respect to give out absolute effects like that which completely dwarf the scale of everything else in the setting the setting.

Man, we already have shit as good Perfects. Like You... Blocked and Royal Guard, both of which only require you to be able to react in time. And Exalted is higher powered than both of the settings from which those perks originate, and unlike those abilities are expensive to use.

>Er, well then what is this;

>THE SWORD
>The Sword Grace is the source of the raksha’s Valor and her lust for Conflict. Those who invoke the Sword use it to enact their will bluntly by way of brute force, forging their own dreams by denying the same privilege to all who would oppose them. Fair Folk use the Sword to feed upon the Valor of others and to overwhelm their Conviction.

>That's word for word from GWM pg. 95

Ah. I get the confusion now. They're talking about Feeding Graces there. You need a Feeding Grace for some things (mainly Virtue-eating), like use 'Ravishing the Created Form' or Ravishing someone normally through the Cup.

It's basically like Favored/Caste stuff, but you can have up to Heart -1 (So... 1 max for Creation-Born under essence 5)

There's a Charm to "open" a normal Grace into a Feeding one.

You need one Grace as you Feeding Grace to feed on Virtue. So, you'd need a Sword Grace as your Feeding one to nom on someone's Valor... But you still Ravish with Cup Shaping, so you have the weird bit where you gain eat Valor with a Compassion/Cup based Shaping Attack/Charm.
>>
>>48872964
Perfect defenses canonically allow you to dodge the heat from the magma you are swimming through. There is no attack that can get around them. They are literally perfect. You can sneak attack someone so they can't use the Charm in time, or get them in an anti-magic field, or use some weird conceptual ability that doesn't qualify as an attack, but no amount of force is ever going to get around a perfect defense.
>>
>>48872964
It really isn't low powered. It's wanked to hell, but it's still planetary to universal in it's upper tiers. And the entire idea of Perfection is that it guarantees that even people far stronger than you can't just one shot your ass. That's literally the only reason why the Exalted won the Primordial Wars, remember? It certainly isn't even close to an auto win, especially since Perfects are too expensive to spam.
>>
>>48872943
Dude, Exalted is weak as shit in any incarnation. The most powerful stuff in the setting is absolute conceptual stuff, and if you look at in context, nothing exalts are capable of exists on a scope much larger than person to person combat. The top out at city busting, maximum. Stop fucking wanking it off, it's stupid as shit.

This low powered setting doesn't have any right to hand out defenses that can tank planet busting attacks.
>>
>>48872964

The fuck? Settings are unique. That's like saying the weak magic of Rick & Mortyverse means Rick's hypertech can't exist, because Ricks' tech 'completely dwarfs the scale of everything else in the setting.' Rick's a multiverse-busting tinker by WoG regardless of how weak martial arts are in his setting.
>>
>>48872875
>>48873005
>It's basically like Favored/Caste stuff

Actually, more like Caste, period. Now that I think about it. The feeding Graces determine what kind of Fae they are, but doesn't give discounts on Charms or anything.

No feeding Graces, and you're a meaningless bit character. One feeding Graces, and you're a Raksha. Two, and you're a Raksha Noble.

The Charm to open up Feeding Graces is GAPING VIRTUE MOUTH, btw.

For one thing, killing Eidolon probably doesn't put them to sleep, given the end. It may cut the restraints holding them back, though.
For another, Hero probably has a much better chance of killing Scion than anyone else on their own, but his presence is also likely to butterfly away Khepri (if nothing else, the thing with the 9 and crucially Bonesaw is likely to go completely differently), so the trumps from the CUI and the Mind Controlled Tinker Collective aren't going to happen, and may well butterfly away Fletchette surviving. So, unlikely to end well. Though there's decent odds Hero will want to go after the S9, preventing Gold Morning, so it may just not end at all.

Elder Exalted and Primordials can control the fundamental, underlying forces of reality.

There's also the nebulously defined bolstering of your Valor it'd do...

Just read the posts, dude. Malfeas is canonically and explicitly infinite in size, as is Cecelyne. Explicitly infinite, not derived, not extrapolated, not figured with calcs as so many feats are. Outright stated in plain text infinite.

This is backed up by E7 Solars explicitly having an attack that does arbitrary finite damage, E7 Sidereals having a Charm that lets them hit everything they perceive with no range limit to their perception, E8 Solars being explicitly able to warp reality on a universal scale with a few weeks' tinkering, etc. The books outright state that E10 Solars are 'close to omnipotent,' though I haven't included that WoG in my feat calculations. This is further supported by the Host in Gunstar outright blowing up planets and stars willy-nilly.

People who think Exalted is limited to 'city-scale' either haven't read high-Essence Charms or didn't understand them. Or they think Solar Circle Sorcery is the limit of what Solar can do when even the weakest E7 Charms trivially eclipse what Sorcery can manage.

Just because you can strangle a mountain doesn't make you anymore impressive than if you strangled a chicken in that setting. That's how absolute conceptual effects work, they function according to the narrative, not physical reality.

The power levels work differently there, and the relation of the degree of effect doesn't really scale to area of effect at all, meaning that the relation of power levels ends up being really weird.

A single man with a good supernatural cancelling power and a gun could kill every exalt in Creation.

A planet busting godbeing is trounced, if only for a time, by even the weakest perfect defenses and can be hit no matter how much he attempts to dodge by the weakest perfect attacks.

Literally the only thing that matters in exalted is your conceptual power level, physical power level is completely irrelevant.

Let me explain, once and for all, how Perfect Defense works in Exalted. There's an artifact spaceship called the Five Metal Shrike. Its main gun, the Godspear, is a beam capable of destroying a mountain. With the shockwave. If you're hit by it directly, you're obliterated. It does infinite levels of lethal damage. Yes, it actually uses he word infinite. Anything in half a football field of the beam is simply gone forever.

Except someone using a Perfect Defense. This isn't just conjecture, either. The rules explicitly state that a Perfect Defense of any form can overcome it.

So that's the cold hard facts. Perfect defenses can withstand infinite damage. There's no cap on how powerful an effect can be before a Perfect Defense gets overwhelmed, because they can't be. They work on a conceptual level, and don't care about your puny infinities. Is it an attack? Then it is blocked.

Indeed, though according to the laws of Jumpchain there's absolutely nothing preventing you from carrying over that conceptual-level power to any other setting. In fact, preventing your powers from working as they do without a Drawback can be argued to be against the rules of Jumpchain.

You'd need a pretty high-tier power canceller to get through Shaping / Condition perfect defenses. As high-tier as you would need to deal with their physical defenses outright by feats, since Yozis have plenty of power-negating effects that simply failed to work.

Not to mention a gun is going to do all of nothing against DV 20+, soak 50+ characters.

Exalts themselves do have significant feats of raw physical power. Even an E5 Exalt can manage a nuke-level attack, while E8+ Infernals can nuke continents, E8+ Sidereals can turn into titanic-scale beings that trivially spam citybusting attacks, etc.

And that's not even considering that E10 Exalts can simply turn into Primordials the equal of the canonically infinite Malfeas, with world-scale effects at the very minimum. And that is outright said to be the lower end of what an E10 Solar can do.

>Then I'll be going with the fact that it allows you to gain Raksha Charms
Fair enough, I suppose. VirtueExpressedThroughGrace says it requires Fae-Blooded instead of Fae-Blooded and A Deal In Good Faith though.

> just outright buying a Grace will net you the minor ability to take a literal reading on the text, as in having a Sword allows you to feed on Valor outright, instead of having to explain it grants access to single perk.
Alright then... I guess that works.

So, you can feed through those you buy in the Lesser Wonders section, but can you also do so through the one gained VETG?

>I need to note how shaping works, thanks for that reminder.
Shaping Combat is confusing for everyone, no worries.

The Graces look good, btw. Very nice.

The Fae Bargains:

A Blade of Sake looks cool now, as it's less trying to do everything at once. Though considering it's not a Behemoth anymore (aw), it should probably made from a Ring Grace, since that's the generic "Artifact as Creation-Born would think of them" category for Wyld Artifacts. Which, admittedly confusingly, Artifact swords do fall under.

Ring looks /very/ good, depending on how bad the mote-drain is.

The Grail still seems odd, but I think I like it.

Champion’sBelt still mentions Magical Materials and Adamant, which the Fae do not use. Not sure about it's effects, usually Staff Graces are Adjurations which you swear to, to gain some benefit from your Oath. The duel part is cool though, fusion-dance I'm not too sure about.
>>

>>
>>48873866
Yeah, no. Enjoy being trivially murdered by regular humans with guns. Conceptual defenses don't give a shit about how much power the attacks they're defending against are and always cost more to keep up than is worth it to use in defense against attacks that aren't excessively massive, but the person using them can only take so much.

So, you can kill god as much as you want, a landslide will still kill you.

>>
>>48874026
Some of these are summons, not companions, but both are useful when you feel constrained by the companion limit.

A Devoted Host from Sword and Sorcery is 20 loyal companions in one slot. They're average people, and when you import them, the perks they're given are split 20 ways at 1/20th power apiece.

But over time, and combined with Pentakai Bench, it's awesome.

The God of War Phalanx isn't actually a companion, they're a temporary summon, but they can count as one for an import option so you can improve them.

There's also the Resident Evil SWAT Team, which is a SWAT team you can summon.

GATE, Thus the JSDF Fought there has a JSDF Battalion you can summon for a battle once a year or so.

The Cavalry from Disney Princess is a Dynamic Summon that gets you around the companion limit when someone's in need, and has a preference for drawing from untapped companions

Some fag just got ultra triggered by Exalts and his lashing out summoned the Exalted posters. Consensus puts high-tier Exalts around planetary level, with higher end interpretations being up to individual Jumpers. There, end of story.

Why is the thread even discussing this when the Exalted jump is capped at E5? The Jump is more useful for its utility than its raw power. You can get high-tier skill buffs to every skill.

If Arhaman wants to bribe me with a demonic axe, it's not going to just scream a lot and fuck with machines, it's going to kill things.

As for the wyrdstaff, my first set of rolls was actually kinda neato, got fearful aura, phasewalk and precognition.

If you dont want to cheat at all, give it to a companion to use, wyrdstaffs work for non-psykers I think.

If you want to cheat a little, re-roll results that duplicate shit.

Fair enough. And making your Sword into a literal sword to use is fitting. I'd ask to allow using it as either your Sword or Staff Grace, but keeping it simple is fine too. The Eight-Headed Serpent things was cool though.

>it takes about 4m per attack but the big thing for it is that it can block multiple attacks per tick, or so the artifact that I'm basing it does. It drains Essence like a fucking sif,
And with Attunement cost... Yup, that drains Essence /fast/. Still very nice.

Don't fucking start the argument again. There are Charms that can be interpreted as city-level on the low end, continental/planetary on the mid-end, and cosmic on the high-end.

This is, in fact, the exact same situation that applies to Avengers and Justice League characters, so treat them the same and don't provoke more thread derailing. We accept that Superman is planetary even when 99% of his "not holding back" punches don't even destroy a building.

Just. Fucking. Accept. The consensus and move on.

So decent bonding time with spiderdotter, and Krystal felt like playing the villain. We had a lot of fun while we could, what with the rage against the supers. Miss Foxx and I had a playful banter-filled rivalry that resulted in next to no collateral damage, very little of worth being stolen or destroyed, exactly zero civilian injuries, and more ham than Christmas at the White House in the nineties. It got to the point that we had kids running up to us after battles for autographs, along with merchandise and even a short circuit of the latenight talkshows, where Krystal played up the "Punch-Card Villain" aspect--still keeping our Identities secret, of course. When Syndrome got around to pulling us in for improving his kill-bot, he ended up throwing a tantrum when I refused to call him anything but Billy. We...I...may or may not have sunk the island.

Oops.
But Jess had fun, made friends with Violet. Joined in on the "Miss Foxx and Miss Richter" show near the end of the Jump, after we gave up pretending to be real rivals and just made fun of ourselves and the other supers in a playful way. No one seemed too bothered by it, except Dash when Jess and Violet ganged up on him for sibling teasing.

I'm taking easier, lower-risk Jumps earlier on, so I don't need to worry about rolling for death chance or anything like that.

I think my most dangerous early Jump is InFamous, and that's partly my own fault, because I'm going around collecting blood samples from Conduits, then freezing them in the Med Bay of my Warehouse for later study.

I am, however, carrying around a couple of electric-type pokémon for recharging purposes, to keep myself from dying, so that's mitigated somewhat.

After that it'd probably be Jurassic Park, where I took the Drawback that puts the genetic hybrid on your scent. However, I also took the Drawback that causes a flock of Compies to follow you. I'm a neat-freak and lock everything, so I don't think they'll be getting into much, and, most importantly, they'll run when the hybrid gets close enough that they can tell it's there, acting as kind of an early warning system.

Just give them their fucking planetary-tier and MOVE THE FUCK ON. You don't have to like a setting to acknowledge its consensus power level. You don't have to interact with the setting in your jumps at all. Ignore it and move on.

I used some things from other jumps and the Unconquered Sun's special coffee bean blend to make a plant that destroys Shadowlands by growing over them kudzu-style! It incorporates Wild Bunch energy and Kemmlerian necromancy; I used the technology-as-biology perk from Hive Queen Quest to have them use the former.

I'm not sure if I can make real Exaltations and my current projections are pessimistic on that front, but I did make cheapass knockoff-Exaltations through a kind of Lambda Gagdet. See, ages ago I entered into a Changeling contract with the God-Machine of nWOD, one clause of which allows me to set up Infrastructure in other worlds. Which generates mystic waste heat called Aether. Using Jumper is a Genius! from Devil Survivor, the Light of the Orokin-boosted Mindful Transference from Warframe and a shedload of simulations I reverse engineered the occult physics behind Lambda Gadgets to use Infrastructure materials and Aether to mass produce a type of Lambda Gadget combining Show of Power, Like the Movies and Shift Consequences to tap into Essence flows in order to replicate other Charms and the effects of Excellencies in visual range.

I already have a soul-printing assembly line from way back (http://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/46002230/#46004506) and I figured Guru combined with the Dragon Stream and my own EX NP leylines would help in setting up an artificial mega-manse linking several of those assembly lines together for maximum overmotes. To enhance it, I'd like to bring Gaia a suitable gift for forging a Changeling contract with her so I can set up proper demesnes within myself for conversion into a manse network, but I'm not sure what a suitable gift would be for her.

I...do have something more substantial involving at least 3 out of 4 of the last few things you mentioned, but I'd rather have more time to think it through.

I understand what y'all are saying, but I think we're talking past one another here. For reference, my first jump is going to be Light of Terra.

I'm not sure how to play the whole jump without either immediately dying (which would possibly be the most realistic result) or without trivializing the whole thing (which doesn't scratch the itch I have for roleplay).

From what you've written, I assume you all just imagine what you'd do in the jump and follow each action to its logical conclusion, which makes sense for early-chain street-level jumps, but I'm doing LoT.

Is there a system to "play" the jumpchain to see how well you do? LoT wont let you 'sit inna woods', especially not after you've broken the deadlight.
>>

I'm pretty sure I'm the only guy that hates exalted with that much passion in here, and even I don't hate it that much dude. I'll go to every jump and obliterate creation several times over, but I'm not going to conspire to make the jumps go away or anything like that. I've mostly stayed out of the conversation about powerlevels because it was dumb and wanky from the outset.

You can learn Primordial charms as an Infernal. ASSUMING that you can convince that particular Primordial to open its Charmset for you.

But considering Gaia isn't exactly on friendly terms with the Yozi...

Gonna get sleep now though. If there's any questions on the Infernals front, I'll see them tomorrow.

The JY one is. He is a Lord of Chaos in that continuity. And probably killed hundreds of thousands to millions when the timelines split, and the children world had cars in motion without drivers, and infant children were left without adult supervision and maintenance for several hours.

He did this with 1 artifact (probably at Eye of Set levels) and 4 other professional (but not world class) magicians.

It was not snap your fingers reality warping, but still, running a batch sort on every human ion the planet and making a duplicate Earth is nothing to sneer at.

Also technically Solars can learn the Charm Primordial Principle Emulation which lets them learn the Charms of a specific Yozi, but in-game it costs them more XP which in practice means it's overall harder for them to do it.

Just the one question: Do you think Oramus prefers books, DVDs, comics, crystalised memories or distilled dreams? I feel kind of bad for how he's bound and I was thinking of slipping him a complete collection of my jumpchain adventures to pass the time.

They can get stronger by training. It's one of the Espada's motivation, his entire character can be summed up as "I hate being weak so I'm going to train to get stronger, and I don' care if I have to cheat to do it. In the end I want to have an amazing last battle in which my opponent kills me."

And it works too, he manages to rise in rank whereas most of the rest just stagnate where they started.

See, I can't believe that. Orikan's a chump, in the fluff he's garbage at his only claim to fame and it's only his time travel that keeps everyone from realising it. On the table, you could realistically kill him with a squad of guardsmen.

Meanwhile, in this jump with all the dlc enabled, you can become an alpha+ level psyker, gain a demon weapon, a wyrdstaff, and all the other random shit I'm too tired to reference. The Necromunda dlc has like three ways to win in melee combat and four to win at range.

Orikan doesnt have a ranged weapon, he doesnt have psychic powers, and like twenty four c'tan shards are coming for his ass. The only thing he has going for him is that there's three of him, and he's super juiced on power. Except there's a glaring weakness in his triple-power-novastar-spiral-energy bullshit.

The future orikan has battle damage that the other two get during the fight that will happen, which means if you gank the past orikan, he implodes.

The rest of the jump is super survivable if you play sneaky-sniper until you become a biomancer. All the dlc are either super easy, or at least impossible to die in, or can be taken in an order that gains you powers to survive the next one.

Hell, Arc 2 specifically says that you survive, even if the world is overrun. There's literally nothing you could do in the second arc to lose.

One brews it over the course of many lifetimes. Get some gourmet cells, some of that SCP drink machine's distillations, some abstract ingredients like innocent dreams and then we'll talk.

I haven't ran into that and I don't think I will.
In pokemon, I had to hide from both criminals and the law. So, I instead lived outside of civilization. For the entire Jump, it was just me and my pokemon living in a house that we built in a Cave.
They became more then just companions from that, and we never want to leave anyone behind.

Really, the more difficult part is dealing with making friends in other jumps that we can't take with use.

Maybe. As far as I know the sun coffee is just well-designed and naturally attuned to Ignus' essence. But then again it WAS a First Age artifact back when the the Incarna weren't drugged out on the cosmic xbox 24/7, so who knows. You probably would, because the others have no canonical affinity for coffee-growing.

And that is why brewing the ultimate coffee is an epic quest in and of itself.

>>48875029
Well, I disagree. Setting aside the powerlevels of Exaltations themselves aside, the unique conflux of skillsets, components and metaphysics that went into their creation (read: The cosmologic deification of Invention as a concept and the god of Perfection, who has an ability which enables him to automatically succeed by a threshold of 10 arbitrary units of success measured in dice as a gameplay abstraction-himself a unique emergent property arising from the combined efforts of Theion "totally-not-STTGL" the King of Primordials stealing one of Autocthon's engines and forging it with help of the Primordial known as Cytherea who happens to be a sentient big bang to create a flame so intense even he couldn't bear it, as well as the Dragon's Shadow using this event as the appropriate metaphysical context to generate a god defined as his cosmological opposite) are too unique for me to think of a way to realistically duplicate them.

The fact that neither imprisoned and mutilated but still immensely powerful Primordials nor dead ones soaked in magic entropy can make truly irreversible changes to the things doesn't help.

>>48875224
...anon.

Turning everyone into primordials is kind of the complete opposite of stasis.

Listen, my opinion on Primordials is complicated but in a nutshell: I can perceive them as actual people without doing weird headgame loopholes with myself. Some good, some bad, some unique in their own way-but all of which I consider on an individual basis, and at least two of which I can't stand.

On the other hand, in Exalted 3rd Edition the Unconquered Sun has apparently managed to teach other gods to produce Exaltations, leading to the "Exigent" Exalted that are the Exalted of any god willing and able to make the investment to produce one. Of course, none of the currently existing Exalted jumps are 3rd Edition, so you can't just learn the Exigent process, but it does indicate that it might be possible in the 2nd Edition setting we're using.
