MTG has a really great community that welcomes new players. Since the pokemon community is not that well known the players are pretty humble and feel happy to help any one that wants to get started. The yugioh community is conformed of young people which tend to act edgy when they see you dont know what their 4 pharagraph card do, being said, there is a pretty good number of good people in the game, but the edgy teens tend to give a bad name to the game.

pokemon has no prize support for an adult playerbase, which is honestly probably for the best, so people age out of it into yugioh or magic.

i've heard they will legitimately throw you out of a pokemon tournament if you physically stink, though, so that's a definite feather in its cap.
