Well there's the time we fought ourselves to prove ourselves worthy to a god, only for the 60ft tall grappling master necrocraft I made ended this deadly encounter in ~4 rounds by essentially spiking the clones into each other for massive damage.

Or the time that we were fighting a group of bandits early on, were massacring them, decided to try to diplomat our way out of it to end the pointless fight, succeeded, then were left dumbstruck as they demanded money to let us spare them.

Or that other time we accidentally a prison escape after being wrongfully(see: legally detained) and helped a kidnapped intelligent undead find his new home watching over a herd of semi-intelligent herd animals.

All the while trying to be edgy and evil, we've probably helped the country in so many ways it's not even aware of, considering we cleared the way for trade in the country thanks to killing bandits and sand kraken, the place we were enprisoned in was harboring less friendly undead, which I took, and we killed the corrupt leader.

Yeah, D&D 5e isn't the best fit, but you can accomplish a lot just by homebrewing a few things and changing fluff. For example, I'm calling clerics white mages now, and their powers aren't tied to the gods. Bards are red mages, and warlocks, sorcerers, and wizards are black mages. I homebrewed up a couple animal-like races and some naturally magical people with brightly-coloured hair, too.

Nobody in the store had heard of said show, and yet he used exclusively characters from it, and actually played clips from it for character voices.
If it was something tasteful, like inspired from star trek but none of the actual characters, it would be great.
But it railroady as fuck, because there's one episode of a "comedy" show that doesn't fit in shadowruns setting at all, and he just had to use like every fucking character, who had no leeway in what they could say/do because it's like a 20 minute cartoon that just tosses in people at random.
