Time for another Gamer Toss boys and girls!

The Gamer Chain-
Concept-Overlord Native-Chain, a Gamer like Ainz who got sucked into the New World. Built the way I would build a character for an MMO, Minions and Buffs for Minions.
Has a Gamer mind-set for most of the chain, trying to exploit anything he can, and to get more Minions and Buffs.

Companions- Forsetti, Gnarl, Lilith, Mooks, Lupa d'Angela, Akitsu, Yashima, Haihane, Waddle Dees, Heather, Genie, Female Hades,
Felyne(Not named),Arianrhod, Otis, Milo, Chara(SAVED, and Podded)

Fuck up Erebus.

Or change humanity.

Or fuck up Erebus. Then use charisma perks or stuff to talk to Nyx, because she is not going to cause the Fall because she wants it, it's because humanity's grief and despair is manifesting as Erebus and calling to her. So if you fuck up Erebus then while it regenerates, you can change her perspective, view of the world.

>>48642313
I don't believe it's mentioned how long it took to get up to making a bicycle. The Super who had the power literally only managed to make bicycles, as far as the dvd extras say.

But I'm it'd take a few months of practise to perfect making a bicycle. There's no hard limit, but the difficulty scales up the more complex the object you try to make is.

So, yes. You could eventually make a computer with it, but considering the difference in complexity going from a bicycle to computer components... It'll take you a good while.

>>48642353
I'm gonna say, yes. The AI disc gets the notes on how it was made, so the plans also get the previous versions.

>>

It is a Sci fi handgun that will carve a meter wide hole 70km deep in ANYTHING on its lowest setting. It is the main reason to head to the Blame! jump.
>>

>>
>>48642442

>>
>>48642545
Well, it's the main reason if you're not a tech jumper. If you are, the technology of the Safeguard and Silicon Life is way better to get.
>>
>>48642537
>>48642545
Huh. That's pretty cool. Do you think it's strong enough to pierce an A.T. field? Because I've been thinking of ways to fight an Angel on foot, just in case, and that would be helpful.
>>
Has Mystic DC been put on the drive? I can't find it.
>>
>>48642520
If you needed to put a hole in a wall made of kryptonians that was kilometers thick you get your Gravitational Beam Emitter ready.
>>
>>48642485
Transmutation. You do need raw materials... but they don't necessarily need to be steel to make a sword. You can just use the dirt/rock/whatever around.

>>48642507
That'll take you a looong time, yeah.

Note that you'll also need to understand it. Or atleast know the exact template you want to make, failing that.

>>48642537
I'm hurt. No love for The Crotchshot Pistol?

Admittedly, the GBE is probably more practical.
>>
>>48642592
Crotchshot can import a gun to get that effect, though. Make a Crotchshot GBE.
>>
>>48642580

>I'm hurt. No love for The Crotchshot Pistol?

when it can target a vital area I will respect it as much as the GBE,otherwise it's basically a Prank/prevent line of succession item.
>>
>>48642580
It carves straight through a hundreds of kilometers thick wall that is not even scratched by nuclear weapons as if said wall was not even there, you are not going to find anything that can resist a GBE.
>>
>>48642579
Which reminds me, how worth it is it to get the net terminal genes for a tech jumper? Is it like a must have item? And do we get a vile containing the genes, or do we have the genes in our body? Really, though, I don't even know if they are genes like I'm assuming they are.
>>
>>48642620
Neither fuel-air explosives nor railguns were ever used in Evangelion, bancho. N2 bombs are of undefined mechanism (but probably fusion or antimatter given that there's an "N2 reactor" technology as well) and the big Japan-powered gun was a particle beam weapon shooting positrons.

In the Incredibles jump what's the difference between the tech you can invent with the drop-in background and the tech you get from the villian background?
>>
>>48642704
>because in the game they aren't ever shown wearing/using the items.

It's called "video game abstraction." They didn't want to pay artists to graphic together a model for each item and attach it to each character's skeleton in a way that looked good.
>>
>>48642762
well obviously
but having 6 rod of ages doesn't make sense, none of the characters have enough arms for it, yet it's still possible in game

Drop-In capstone gets you stuff to help out with Superhero stuff. Villain gets you Syndrome's toys.

Drop-Ins can make stuff like memory-wipe machines, supercars like the Incredimobile, hammers to increase your SeismicWaveGeneration, visors to concentrate and strengthen your laser vision...

But basically, all kinds of stuff mainly meant to help out Supers.

Villain capstone on the other hand... gets you vehicles, weapons, robots, and stuff to replace superpowers like the rocket boots and zero-point energy ray.

>>48642789
Assume a few seconds, depending on complexity, size, and how much you've practiced doing that transmutation. It's triggered by concentrating. Yes. Yes, but affecting a large volume will get harder for you.
>>48642852
Say 10 meters? Again depending on complexity... small, simple, well-practised things may be easier to do at longer range, while for very complex things you'll want to be close.

>>
>>48642660
I believe you would get the genes in a bottle or litte container becayse it mentions you being able to look at them under the microscope.
Their really fucking amazing, like as a Deus Ex Machina jumper the genes are too good to pass up. The GBE is good and all, but the genes, with time and maybe some other "parsing digital info" perks you could basically get all the blueprints for the GBE to potentially make an even better one. And even a GBE doesn't hold a candle(In overall usage) to some Safeguards, like the 9th level one and Exterminators which you could probably learn to build en masse.

Theres also the the inherent bullshit of their cybernetics, Killy survived the sun teleportation and lost maybe half his body, so his clarketech parts are fucking crazy durable, and he's an old design.

Sweet mother of God. U-um, before I start spacing out over all the possibilities, and out of curiosity, Ancient Blood references martial arts. What's kind of martial arts? Oh, thanks for answering these questions, by the way.
>>
>>48643294
Correspondence from Fallen London sets stuff on fire?
>>
>>48643320
The Legacy of Solomon is a 'martial art'. It involves using the nanomachines in your blood (Ancient Blood involves you having nanomachines in your blood, btw) to do shit like create a shield, boost your agility, summon a technomagic blade that shanks your target independent of your own skill, scans the nearby area, and summons a cannon and blasts the target.
>>
>>48643294
Well, the Correspondence from Fallen London/ Sunless Sea is an inherently dangerous language. Its intended purpose is reality-warping, but since it's the language the stars speak the words burn with thermonuclear heat. The most common use of it is just to heat things by writing Correspondence sigils on them, no "this thing will melt" spell required to do it.

Also, SJ is working on a Snow Crash jump, though they're still in the brainstorming phase. That has the original language of man, the primal neurolinguistic tongue that Chomsky's theorized of. While that can be used to mind control people, it's also actively damaging to minds raised on structured language instead of the primal tongue. This reaches its strongest effect in the eponymous "Snow Crash" sequence, which can fry your brain just by seeing it.

Martial arts in Anima are pretty awesome. There's one that's basically Gate of Babylon, another that lets you punch through alternate dimensions, one that makes invulnerable energy roses to defend yourself with, all sorts of crazy stuff.
>>
>>48643436
Yeah, but Legacy of Solomon is the only one I can think of where it's not actually a martial art, it's sending the nanobots hanging out inside of you to murderize your opponent.
>>
>>48643280
Hey, in the Drop-In perk line in Anima, is the thing saying all 100 CP perks are discounted (but not free) just a poorly worded way of saying To Seek Tomorrow isn't free, or that they get a discount on the 100 CP stuff from other trees?
>>
>>48643333
it's pretty sweet, I engraved a correspondence translation of war and peace into the inside of a boiler so now it doesn't require fuel since the letters themselves generate a very high temperature.
>>48643416
Wouldn't say it's a nuclear level of hot, it will not melt lead, but it will burn paper and human flesh. So around 500° Fahrenheit I think.

Oh, and genetics perks, so I can steal Legacies. And item-finding stuff, to get all the awesome artifacts. Seriously, I know I shouldn't be treating this jump as just a power-grab, and instead thinking of all the cool things to do in the setting. But there are so many cool things that I want to have, not just do.

>>
>>48643481
I... think you can learn Legacy of Solomon straight from the nanobots hanging around in your system, but I'm not certain about that. I know they give you hints on how to use Lost Logia though, so it doesn't seem unlikely. Other Martial Arts, you'd likely to have to find an instructor. I tend to let my players just hand-wave pick them up myself, so I don't know the exact details, unfortunately. I suggest heading to places where the Church doesn't have much influence, or finding a summoner and badgering them into summoning a spirit that already knows the martial art in question, because it's not like they're restricted to humans.

>>48643548
Yeah, me too.

With the recent question about companions I've recently had one thats been bugging me. We import companions to our jumps so they can get the benefits of the jump. So lets say I wanted to bring someone I created(Like imagine sapient super android) but I didn't want to import them, and I didn't plan to allow them to get perks from the jump, can I bring them for free?
>>
>>48643623
Yes. Created beings automatically count as companions, and companions don't need to be imported to show up in the jump. Just to get benefits.
>>
>>48643623
No, use a pod.
>>
>>48643623
Yes, but they'd take up an active companion slot unless you used a pod.

/JC/, I have a conundrum you might be able to help me with. I wanted to take terraria early on for some of the nice stuff there, but one of the most important things in the jump (at least imho) is the bit where you can double your mana pool (and to a lesser extent health pool). So I was wondering if that perk was a one time doubling (in which case it is much more beneficial to go there late after a lot of mana pool increasing perks and a lot of leaky limiter grinding) or if the perk is more of a passive that doubles whatever your mana pool should be a any given time (in which case I'm better off going early for that sexy, sexy mp regen perk).
What do you guys think?

OK so last jump I may have gotten how Nero Choas works wrong. I Left him a pile of dust anyways so I probably am good either way. (Yes he doesn’t have familiars those are an extension of his consciousness from creatures he absorbed in to his reality marble. I goofed but it should have killed him anyway)

It was inevitable I would wind up here. So many times I had called upon the power of Rock and Roll to save me so many times. There was no way I would not find myself in this world. I honed my music and trained my companions to the best of my ability because I knew our greatest challenge lay before us.

We conquered the charts in this modern age of mediocre music and brought back a rebirth of music the likes of the 60s to the 80s and it was glorious.
But then towards the end of my time in this world during our largest concert yet a beam of light from the heavens shone down and Down Descended Elvis; He was young he was in his prime and he glowed with an unearthly glow.

The King of Rock and roll explained there could only be one king and challenged me to a rock off right there.

As the ruling kick he started, he began and he rocked the stadium. It looked bleak for a moment. Even my companions didn’t think we could pull it off. I had my doubts but with a few words of encouragement and nothing left to loose we went out there to face the crowd.

We gave it all we had and by the end of the performance we nearly collapsed but we gave the greatest performance we had ever given. The crowd roared and Elves approached us. He nodded he smiled and told us we had done a great job and to protect the legacy of Rock and roll. He returned then to the heavens satisfied.

Where can you get a good method of item combination? I don't remember where it was from but the only one I looked at only took added the most prominent trait from one item to another, which isn't what I am after.

All of the above. Just like power, it varies on whether they get one really good power, a grab bag of powers, or the even the full set. Generally they get /atleast/ enough to be a competent Super, and depending on what you have they may get much more.

The full set ones will likely be the top end in power... Which means there isn't many of them, but they're likely to be villains.

Of course, jumpers with only two jumps will see a /lot/ more full package ones than those jumpers that did hundreds of jumps beforehand.

I gotta get some sleep now though. If you have any more questions, I'll answer them tomorrow.

It works like any superstrength perk does without grabbing a complementary durability perk. That is, it'll allow you to use your strength without hurting yourself, but getting punched/shot will still hurt despite your now super-powered muscles.
>>
>>48644870
If you don't mind one more question: Can it be used for active durability? Like stand there and flex and that knife breaks on your skin?
>>

>I have no idea how sburb works but the setting seems rather finicky and needs a certain set of powers to survive.
You put an object into a "Captchalogue Card". These are the storage spaces for the inventory system but can also be manifested as real physical objects. You look at the back of the card for its code. Ironically, being captchas, some items have codes that can only be read by a machine called the "Intellibeam Laserstation". That's part of the package of stuff you get for playing, though, you'll have enough Grist to unlock it sometime about a day into the game or so. Anyway, you take the codes to the "Punch Designix" and have them make punchcards using them. You can use blank Captchalogue Cards, those are the right size. Then you take them to a Totem Lathe and insert them along with a Cruxite Dowel. The pattern is then carved onto the Dowel. Overlap two cards to get an AND operation for the combination of their codes, punch two codes onto one card to get an OR operation. Then put the Dowel on the Alchemiter. You'll get the resulting object. How the AND and OR operations differ are kind of inconsistent and vague, so make one of both just in case. You can recycle alchemy objects for free. Also, there's an item later in the game that lets you upgrade your Alchemiter, you can use that to make it a one-stop shop so you just have to enter the codes.

>How does eXceed's item combination work?
Study an object and how it's constructed. Once you've gathered enough information, you can destroy the object to extract a trait from it that you can then apply to another object. You can have up to two foreign traits applied to any single object at a time. And these traits can be quite abstract. You could take the "can fly" trait from a plane and put it on a broom to making a flying broom, or you could take the "ties things up" trait from a lasso and put it on a gun to make it shoot immobilizer bullets. Be creative.

Just looked at eXceed. It seems good but only let's you add two things to any one item.

Now to look at the others.
>>
>>48642197
>Final update, I believe.
couple things.
1.Discounts, some of the really expensice stuff look like if should be discounted
Like the Private Island does not have a Villain discount.
Maybe give Psycwave a Everseer doscount (or give Everseer free with Psycwave)
Gazerbeam could have a Dynaguy discount if you make it come form the eyes.
Cyrokinesis discount on Pyrokinesis for Fire & Ice

2. On Companions buying property, let them attach to the warehouse (especially if they are staying in the warehouse or companion housing)

The way I do Companions buying property is it functions like property in general (can be imported or in warehouse when a jump begins, and can be deployed from warehouse (but not back) once per jump) but it is under ultimate control of the companion, not Jumper, and if they go back home or stay behind, the property goes with them, cause they bought it.
>>
>>48644945
Thanks. If I want CP bought items to be merged with the appearance of one but the properties of both, would that be an AND operation?
>>
>>48644101
>Do note that the Team Suits will then have a matching look in accordance with their preferences, not yours.
So THAT is why the Jumper is wearing unflattering bridesmate colors.
>>
>>48644657
I have no clue what that's supposed to mean.

It could be. It could also not be. You see, in computing an AND operation has an output if both inputs are activated. It has to be the first AND the second. So for doing an AND of two punch cards you'd get an empty space where both cards have an empty space, because otherwise one of them would cover it. You'd think this would get you an object that shares the common traits between the two input objects, but if it does, then SBURB has a very odd idea of how to classify traits.

Likewise, an OR operation has an output if either input is activated. It can be the first OR the second. That means that the resulting punch card from an OR operation, punching two codes onto one card, gets you all the holes from both cards. You'd think that would just cram the two objects together into one, but again, it doesn't work that way. Maybe, as with AND, it just has a different idea of how to classify traits than a human would. Or maybe it's because the two objects might have common traits, so you're not getting a doubling-up on some holes. Maybe it's both.

Really, there aren't many good patterns for figuring out Alchemization. For a while it looked like AND took the basic form of one and the aesthetics and special traits of the other, and OR reversed that. But there are exceptions to that, and sometimes the pattern even reverses. Which kind of makes sense, AND and OR aren't order-dependent operations. Punching two codes onto one card doesn't tell you which you punched first. So the whole mess is kind of confusing. My best guess is that the codes are all actually just reference points in a much larger, more complex coding system inside the machine itself, instead of containing the actual information describing the objects. And that you'd therefore need a huge amount of examples, more than the comic gives us, to figure out the actual logic.

So, basically, I've got Mr. House super pissed off at me for... some reason, probably involving a Securitron and too many Mimosas, and the Legion keep on sending assassins after me because I keep smashing their troops whenever we find each other. "Caesar has marked you for death!" and all that. Meh, not too worried; I can, at the very least, go toe to toe with pretty much anything in this setting bar Liberty Prime, and I have a few very good survivability perks. I think I'm going to name my Mister Handy "Giorgio". I'll befriend the Courier, too; don't know which "ending" I'll suggest, because House hates me and making him more powerful is a bad idea because of that, but I usually go his route. NCR isn't too bad, and depending on how the Courier is I might suggest siding with Yes Man.
Other than that, I'll just adventure around and help people.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong and help me out here to figure out what I'm confusing it with, but I could have sworn there was a game called Dominions that was like and rts/moba thing that was released years ago, even before LoL.

>>48645453
Are you talking about DotA?
>>
>>48645453
Dominion was kinda like a more in depth populous and less like league.
>>
>>48645475
No, it wasn't a mod, it was an actual released video game. I remember seeing reviews for it on ign.
>>
>>48645411
I don't think so. The text makes it sound like it's less about the strength of your soul and more about the power being too much for your body to handle. You'd want some sort of protection from mystical energy.
>>
Are there any interesting starting jumps that I can get eight good companions in?
>>
>>48645489
I know, which is why I'm so confused. I remember it being a game where gods were fighting each other for their respective factions in real time, I know that or sure.
>>
If Clover is around, I have a question on the RWBY Jump.

The 'Stubborn' perk says you ignore damage once; and the flavor text for it seems to imply it always works. Is there a specific recharge time you had in mind, or is it meant to be a total one-off?

Pokemon
>>
>>48645501
I guess so. It seems like soul power works for regular Gun Bullet Children, but with that perk, it's more like "You're tapping into the full power of a goddamn angel, how the hell do you think you're body can survive that?!" like you said. I guess my soul thing would work better with the regular one, like it says in the notes.

>>
>>48645495
DotA2 is a full-game, not a mod. It's the game you're thinking about

Dominions is a completely different game.
>>
>>48645605
Why ignore free electricity and water? Even if you outpace them with equipment or w/e, it'll still add up. Put in a generator or a battery system or something. Turn all the water into pure oxygen and hydrogen for other projects, etc.

>>48645612
I'm really not. The game I'm remembering looks nothing like DotA 2 for one thing, and it's older too. DotA isn't about a battle between gods either.

>>48645638
I know that's the real Dominions, but no, the one I'm thinking of is actually in real time.

The name of what I'm thinking of isn't Dominions, but it has a similar premise.

I feel like I should refrain from doing a hard ruling on it so as not to force people to feel like they have to buy X Perks before being allowed to use it, but if the Madness/Anti-Madness sillyness I see being thrown around in Soul Eater is directly tied to how strong your soul is, coupling the first two together with the regenerative aspect of Powerful Soul should get you set- You won't start being hurt unless you're going all out for weeks on end, and if that's the case you probably have bigger problems. I don't know jack about Anima so I can't judge how it'd interact.

>>48645501
>>48645585
The way I intended it, it's less that it's physically hurting you, and more that your body falls apart as a natural consequence of the angelic power tearing your soul to bits.

But still, the secondary stuff listed as helping basic GBCs should, at the very least, speed up recovery once you dial it back down again.

Um. It's... pretty decently powered? It starts off at pretty typical middle ages levels, but High and Divine Magic include things like creating souls/races/continents/whatever, at some point someone literally split one world into three, and the Lost Logia mentioned upthread are the technomagic that one of the hidden conspiracies revealed to the public at the time, not the stuff they can actually pull off when going all out.

Is there any reason to do Fallen London before Sunless Sea, or vice versa? Or does it not matter in the least? I only ask because I'm more familiar with Sunless Sea. That and my Jump Coordinator has felt the need to send me somewhere Lovecraftian and these two seem the safest of all options.

>>48645923
By the way, with the scale you mentioned before, does Powerful Soul make you around 2-3 times as power spiritually as a starting human? Or Is it exponential? What can you even pull off with that level of power?

Sorry for the sudden spaghetti of questions, but I haven't been able to find much information on feats of what characters with x stat are capable of. Or even much on feats at all.

FEAR.
>>
>>48645908
>what are good jumps to prepare for reality warpers?
Luck Perks, Fate helps you, and you are immune to external Fate Perks, so in case of large scale reality warping, the warp gets "interpreted" in a way that does not effect of benefits you.

Perks that make you immune to time shennagins if the Reality Warping had the effect of being retroactive.

Operating/existing in more than one dimension combined with regeneration if the reality warper can only warp his current dimension. (Like you exist both on the current plane and Heaven/Hell/Astral Plane, and if you get warped in one dimension, you heal in the other and then reenter that plane.)
>>
>>48645908
Nobody Physiology from Kingdom Hearts prevents things from erasing you dependent on your willpower. I know there is a perks somewhere that enforces the laws of physics around you (Girl Genius?). The anklets from overlord let you dodge anything three times a day if you can see it coming and it's possible for you to dodge. Not sure if you can actually dodge reality warping though, but there are probably you can dodge anything perks out there somewhere. Overshield type stuff from Warframe, Borderlands, Bioshock Infinite, etc might shield you from reality warping depending on how much you interpret video game logic applying to other settings.
>>
>>48646026
Didn't notice the second question, sorry. As for what you can pull off... not too much more, IIRC? I mean, most of your capabilities in the setting come from your training and stuff you buy with DP rather than just lucky initial rolls, though a high power stat makes your magic a lot faster, and lets you summon, bind, and banish being from Between Worlds more easily, but it's like, an additional +10 on a d%, so... yeah.

DEATH OF OBSIDIAN BUTTERFLIES
Cost:15m
Target:Area (30 yards wide, 100 yards long, 10 yards high,
starting at the caster)
Death of Obsidian Butterflies calls forth a cascade of sculpted obsidian butterflies with razor-sharp wings. Their wingspans vary from an inch across to almost a foot. Flashing over the character’s shoulders and past her sides in a glassy black torrent, they slash through the air in a pattern 30 yards wide, 100 yards long and 10 yards high. Brush, grass and small trees are cut off near the ground. Larger trees and wooden structures suffer serious dam-age. Stone is defaced but structurally unharmed. When the character releases the magic, her player rolls (Perception + Occult), adding a number of automatic successes equal to the sorcerer’s permanent Essence. Everyone in the attack
pattern not behind an inch or more of stone or several inches of wood is subject to attack.
Characters defend against Death of Obsidian Butterflies as if it were a hand-to-hand attack. Each attack is independent, so magic and penalties that reduce the attack do not help oth-ers defend. Treat the butterflies as rolling a number of attack successes equal to those the sorcerer’s player rolled, minus one for each two dice of dice penalties that circumstances impose. The attack inflicts 8L plus any extra successes in raw (pre-soak) damage.
The thousands of shattered glass butterflies don’t go away after the spell. Walking barefoot in the area thereafter is not recommended

This is an example of one of the most basic spells. A normal human wouldn't be able to dodge it and has only seven levels of health and even with good armor Mortals would still bleed out in about two to five seconds. This is like the lowest level magic missile for Sorcery.

>>48646271
First Circle is pretty weak, to be honest. You don't get any real good stuff until Celestial tier. Terresetrial offers some nice spells, but most are too long to cast and too expensive to be practical. No, what you want from First Circle Sorcery are Summon Elemental and Summon Demon. Those are the staple of any Exalted sorcerer's power. There's an elemental or demon for anything you might want, and you can summon them ahead of time.

>>48646453
Many thanks.

>>
>>48646132

>>
>>48646371
Technically you could get to Celestial if you manage to magpie Brigid's Mantle, IIRC.
>>48646499
Because that's how much it costs to purchase one of the perk trees + Lost Logia Researcher.
>>
>>48646522
Note that Death of Obsidian Butterflies is actually kind of impractical in most combat. It's great if you want to annihilate an infantry battalion, but it's too expensive for battle against supernatural creatures. 15 motes is too much for one attack.
>>
>>48646529
Well, it lets you rebuild your soul, which is good, because quite a few things in the setting, like making magic items or using Caliburn's special, tend to require that you pay a portion of your soul, which is normally not fixable.
>>
>>48646552
As someone who's never played Exalted, how many motes do normal spells require?
>>
>>48646543
>manage to magpie Brigid's Mantle
???
>>
>>48646585
Lots, spells are typically ritual in nature although there are some exceptions and there is a lot of room (and an entire sourcebook) to develop your own.
>>
>>48646585
Around that much, which is why combat Sorcery isn't considered very strong. Any good Sorcerer is also going to have a set of combat Charms, which would only cost 2-5 motes per attack.

>>48646610
Brigid's Mantle is a legendary artifact. One of its powers is that it raises the Circle of Sorcery you can use by one, up to the limit. So Terrestrials can use Celestial Sorcery, and Lunars and Sidereals can use Solar, while Solars get no benefit from that power.
>>
>>48646585
That's about a normal amount. The problem is that Exalted's combat system is fucked up. You need Essence to block every attack, and it takes the same number of motes to block an attack no matter how much damage it would do. So there's rarely any reason to waste motes on attacking at all, since they're just going to perfectly block/dodge/soak it anyway.

Worse, this spell doesn't even do that much damage compared to a weapon. It's more of an infantry killer than something you would cast on a serious fighter.

>>48646610
It's a powerful Artifact that allows you to learn Sorcery of one circle higher than you're normally limited to.
>>
>>48646585

Motes are actually how you do almost all of combat, and if you run out, you're fucked. Normal attacks are maybe five-six on the outside, usually 2-4.
>>
>>48646643

>>

>>48646585
Lots but they have big effects. 10 - 20 m for most Terrestrial from what I've seen. Sorcery is nice, but I'd recommend more Artifacts as you can easily learn Terrestrial level sorcery if you have any learning perks whatsoever.

>>
>>48646796
Ouch. Forgot that... That'll be rough. Build for larceny Charms?
>>
>>48646693
No. The Wear System is actually something separate from the AGE System that was built into the AGE Gundam because it was an experimental design that they were constantly swapping limbs on and off of. The AGE System just took advantage of that when it came up with its designs. The AGE System can work on anything, not having the Wear Support just means it will be more time-consuming to swap new parts in.

As other people have said, the typical Exalted spell-spells (as opposed to Charms) tend to cost, oh, anywhere between 2-3 times the average E2 charm around the 10-20 mote benchmark and if you're trying to launch one in the middle of battle without any stealth, cover or allies with perfect defenses that can be applied to Defend Other actions, you...should probably reconsider your battle strategy.

>>48646646
...yep.

Bizarrely enough even in-universe this is sort of acknowledged. The devs have said on several occasions in their opinion during the Primordials War Solars never reached Essence 7 or above; through a combination of effective respawns via Exaltation, sheer bloodimindedness and PDs the Exalted apparently rocket tagged the Primordials into defeat.

And as I've said before-the Ebon Dragon's charmset seems to be spec'd partly to exploit this system.

>>48646677
Brigid WAS the inventor of sorcery who was apparently useless (or at least really, really mediocre by transcendent demigod standards) until she had a revelation one day which may or may not have involved a demon.

She's also one of the Solars from the First Age so she's long gone by the time you enter Exalted.

And given she was a magical pioneer in an era where people did military exercises that involved nuking large swathes of reality, cracked open the tombs of dead titans to plunder them for cosmic necromantic lore and created dinosaurs that piss heroin, she's probably as dangerous as over 9000 Sakuras

No, don't do that. Keep it focused on one setting, what's even the point of not making it a generic if you're going to include an option forit to be generic anyway? That's like the AtLA jump including a 0cp option to spend the jump in LoK instead.

Oblivion Awaits if you took Void-Touched as it is specifically geared towards void creatures and mages. The rune war and lights in the sky would be suicide. The glorious evolution wouldn't get a benefit from you tech since you don't have any but you would still have to worry about getting swarmed as it starts converting people, same for the Heavy Metal. You don't have to worry about the void creatures corrupting the fallen/raising the dead, and you could bet the other champions and countries would start to pitch in once things start escalating. Also you can count on Kassadin to be your bro for lyfe if you win. The Future is Cold might be at the same level but we don't know how tough the watchers are, but we have pretty good info on what the void champions are capable of.

Because it's objectively better than pretty much every other magic system in jumpchain? It's about as freeform as it gets, and it works really well with technology jumpers.

Take digital sorcery in fate extra, grab a Symbiote, go to Soul Hackers for bullshit programming powers, go to WoD Mortals and grab the skill perk that makes you never stop improving as a programmer, and for good measure use Conjoined Conjures to merge it with Mage space, time, prime, matter, and force Arcana, you can literally do fucking anything.

>>
>>48647181
The Mantle of Brigid is an N/A level artifact. As in, the game itself doesn't have any rules for buying it. It breaks several rules about normal character progression. I think it's better if it's something you'd have to earn instead of just pay CP for. It's just the daughter of the Scarlet Empress and one of the most powerful Dragonblooded still alive in Creation, supported by several Sidereal Grandmasters with all the reality-breaking kung-fu that implies. What, you don't think you're up to the challenge?
>>
>>48647150
Okay, but it requires a webgoblin: do I need to worry about someone ganking it?

Also, it explicitly cannot mess with time or space, nor can it create matter (admittedly not that much of a limitation). I'm not so sure CC can get past fiat limitations.
>>
>>48647167

>>
>>48647226

>>
>>48647235
If the maker is creative and skilled enough? Yeah, I do. As long as they focus it on a different part of the setting and don't just copy over the perks from JLD I think it can be accepted just fine.
>>
>>48647244
>Is there enough in either of those for their own jump?

Holy shit, yes.
>>
>>48647202
They're very cut rate. No stabbing a point to auto-kill concepts. Just you can hurt anything, and you can see invisible things. I honestly wouldn't have mentioned them if it wasn't blatantly clear where Anima got the inspiration.
>>
>>48647254
Sidereals can punch you into anything. Their kung fu is best. I was making a joke about how hard it would be to get.
>>
>>48647235
I seriously doubt people are going to reject content as long as the jumps are halfway decent and represent a distinct series.
>>
>>48647261
And any damage you do, even if it's a papercut, is horrifically lethal and nothing can prevent you from harming it. You don't see how this is better then almost any other option there?
>>
>>48647284
>>48647261
Oh AND all objects become easy to damage too. All this from your own description.
>>
>>48647244
Wonder Woman has some fairly substantial lore and history to draw on. The Marvels have somewhat less, but they've still been around a long time, so they have plenty of meat, too.

Also, Aquaman and Atlantis will probably be there too, since they tend to have a lot to do with mythology and the Greek gods.
>>
>>48647284
... Perhaps I should reword that. Anima treats any attack with the Eyes as a "critical", which generally only happens if you took out half your opponent's HP in a single hit.
>>
>>48647227
>Also, it explicitly cannot mess with time or space, nor can it create matter
Yes it can. Limitations inherent to the magic system, for example paradox, go away if you combine them with a magic system that can do those things.
CC also makes the webgoblin irrelevant.

Do you think that if you merged Mage with Webmage that Mage time and space magic would just stop working outright? No, you learn to manipulate time and space using Webmage magic, because that's how this works.
>>
>>48647321
....so you're saying any attack we use with those eyes now takes out at least half our opponents health in one shot? How the fuck did you make it sound even more broken?
>>
>>48647261

Why not take Better Nerf Jumper? If it's your first jump then it is basically free cp, and you could actually kill people.

Anyway setting up shop in piltover would be your best bet because if he conquers that and starts assimilating all their tech it is game over. Zaun presents the same issue but they seem to have a more organic tech base so not as much of an issue. Befriending Heimer, Rumble, Ziggs, and Jayce would help a lot as they know the most about the settings tech. Recovering the dead or destroying the bodies would prevent Viktor from upgrading people. Go with space marine tactics with using elite fighters to make surgical strikes since sending minions or lesser armies just gives him more flesh to convert. Capturing/killing Viktor is the priority so anything strategy that gets him alone/splits his forces and sets you up to gank him would be best.
>>
>>48647329
Not that anon, but I thought the downside to CC was that it would combine the entire system, strengths and weaknesses alike. So you could end up with a system with immense potential, that's really damn hard to use because of all the requirements, risks, and downsides it now has.

If you really can pick and choose just the good bits... That would be absolutely incredible, and I would need to do a Cardcaptor build right now.
>>
>>48647346
Yes, because paying 200cp to take out 50% of the health of anything you even scratch, harm anything, harm objects just as easy and see invisible things is totally balanced with the rest of the jump. Not like it's almost if not as good as the MEoDP, especially since it has none of the flaws that has. And costs a fifth of the price.
>>
>>48647320
So it's a jump that draws from each of those, but still leaves more focused jumps open? Tubular.
>>
>>48647333
No, not even slightly. Okay, here's how it works normally:
You take out 50% of their health.
You score a critical.
They have a chance of being crippled based on how much damage they took, and they get to make a saving throw.

How the eyes work:
You score a critical.
They have a chance of being crippled based on how much damage they took, and they get to make a saving throw.

I just couldn't find a way to say that.

I feel compelled to post the actual bloodline he's talking about.
>THE EYES OF DEATH
>Surely, there is no Legacy of Blood darker, more terrible, and more frightening than the Ayin Apholion, also called “the Eyes of Death.”This strange gift, whose possessors consider the greater part of the time to be a curse, confers the disturbing ability to see the threads of life present in all things. These people do not perceive the world in a normal way, but like a set of threads, veins, and filaments that underlie everything that exists.
>The origin of this ability is lost in a myth that goes back to the time of Holst. According to some occultists, this power was born from the hypothetical union of Holst and Lachesis, one of the three Fates, whose hands hold the threads of destiny. Others attribute it to a pact between Clotho and a mortal man she loved, with whom the Fate exchanged her left eye, in order to save his life. Whatever the truth, this ability is intrinsically linked to the Fates, because the Legacies that have it
perceive the world as the Fates do. Cost: 2
>>
>>48647382
Just stop bitching man, no one else cares.
>>
>Eyes of the End of All Existence: The Legacy has the ability to see the threads present in everything that exists, and consequently can destroy practically anything or anyone, with even the most innocuous wounds. Consequently, the Legacy ignores the Damage Barrier of objects, regardless of their size, toughness, or density. Simply by striking the appropriate places, he is able to destroy everything with impossible ease. Therefore, he also increases the Breakage of his impacts by 5 points, regardless of what weapon he is using.
In combat, all his attacks produce an automatic Critical on his adversaries, regardless of the damage that the attack actually produced. Creatures with Damage Resistance do not suffer an automatic Critical, but their entire body is considered a vulnerable spot for the Legacy’s attacks. The Legacy also has the ability to aim more accurately at the spiritual lines of the body of his enemy; if he does so, he applies a penalty of –10 to his Attack Ability, but gains in return a bonus of +40 to the level of Criticals.
>>
>>48647432
>>48647421
....fuck it. Whatever. Have your broken bullshit eyes. God forbid anyone give feedback that isn't begging for more points.
>>
>This power also allows the Legacy to visualize the spiritual lines of invisible or spiritual beings, even if he cannot fully distinguish the appearance or form of such beings. Thus, he never applies the penalty for complete Blindness when facing invisible beings, but only the penalty for Partial Blindness. Nevertheless, he is affected by illusionary spells or any similar power that “deceives”his perceptions. For example, a character using a spell of Illusory Invisibility would simply alter the perception of the eyes of the Legacy, making him think that he does not see anything.
>The character must be able to see to make use of all these abilities, since his powers depend directly on his sense of sight. If at any time he lacks sight or, for any natural cause, is unable to see his surroundings, he loses these abilities.
>A character with this Legacy of Blood is able to damage any adversary, ignoring completely all kinds of protection or immunity that it has. Only beings who he cannot damage because of their high Gnosis are unaffected by this ability. In those cases, the character cannot see any kind of threads in them.
>>
>>48647348
Essence 5 is the highest power a Dragonblooded can reach without spending most of their life meditating on their soul and the elements of Creation. Having it means you are not the strongest Dragonblooded out there, but you are the strongest anyone is likely to see outside of some horrible conflict when the mighty sages are called in from their hermitage to face some terrible threat. It's not necessarily hard to obtain, but it will take some time and struggle to cultivate your soul to those levels. It will go faster if you don't stay out of trouble, though. It might take inner peace and contemplation to break the cap, but the Exalted were designed to DO, not just BE. Go out on some adventures, it will be good for your soul.
>>
>>48647408
Things in the jump are balanced relative to each other. It doesn't matter how strong it is or sounds, that doesn't make it a capstone, unless it's capstone worthy for the jump and setting in question and in comparison to the other things on offer.
>>
>>48647408
>So what, any attack you do has a chance of crippling them?
Yeah, but he already said that the chance is based on the amount of damage the attack does. So, you could cripple someone with a paper cut, but we should assume that the chance of that happening would be extraordinarily unlikely.

Dragon-Blooded can go further but just like everyone else it takes at least a hundred years to get to Essence 6. However higher Essence slows ones ageing, most First Age Solars were hundreds of years old and looked young but that was due to the fact they were also abusing Age-Staving Cordials in addition to their ridiculously high power level.

I appreciate this, thank you!

I don't suppose you have a suggestion on rewording it for more accuracy? Since you at least have the book yourself, I mean? Current rewording of that section is:

your attacks are always treated as “criticals”, giving them a chance to cripple no matter how weak the actual blow, though of course sufficently weak blows are highly unlikely to actually cripple any target of note,
>>
>>48647597

Not really. A specific Jump trumps a generic one. A specific Jump like Justice League Dark would not be stopped by a general one having a drawback toggle to turn the Jump into that setting.

I don't really see what the big is either way. Even if the jumps are focused around individual series/characters, all of it is in the same setting. There's literally nothing stopping you from spending most your time in a JLD jump hanging out with Superman or Green Lantern. Why not have a 0 cp drawback that let's you hang out with other magic bros?
>>
>all these new jumps coming out all the time

Ah, shit.

There's something I really want to show you guys which I can't elaborate on because there's a dilemma here and I know roughly what the vast majority would pick given recent incidents and I'm torn on it as it is, but I don't to clog up the thread with weird controversy bullshit while there's all these fresh jumps going through critique and revision. And no, it's not a thing about lewdness or a spacebattles thing-quite the contrary actually-and it's probably only an issue for people who respect intentions over results.

I'll save it for a day we don't have anything better to talk about. See you guys whenever.

However higher Essence slows ones ageing, most First Age Solars were hundreds of years old and looked young but that was due to the fact they were also abusing Age-Staving Cordials in addition to their ridiculously high power level.
Solars had a higher innate natural lifespan, that raised faster with higher essence. Dragon Blooded natural lifespan was lower, but was always over 100 years by decades, and 250 was also reachable without any hoops needed besides meditating on essence..
The problem for them was they died before that, or got to involved in politics and simply did not take the time to withdraw from the world to raise their essence and get the lifespan boost.
Some people will do a lot to get and keep power, and apparently would rather die then risk having temporal power diminish while isolated from mundane concerns for several months.

Part of it was that they did not get as much out of higher essence as you might think, compared to the political power games. Which is another reason why I do not like the Essence 5 Hardcap for dragonblooded

It says hide or toggle. It also makes people not expect you to have any powers other than what you've already revealed, which means you can keep pulling 'shonen powerups' out of your bag of tricks again and again yet they somehow never see it coming.

Death of Obsidian Butterflies is one of my favourite Exalted spells, hilariously impractical as it often is. Flight of the Brilliant Raptor is also a nice room-clearer when you can't be bothered fighting mooks.

>>48646585
>spells vs charms
The issue of power and scale when it comes to spells is a little complicated, because there are Charms, which aren't Sorcery, but are attack enhancers or small attacks on their own that also use motes of Essence. Those combat charms are gets thrown around most often in a fight, rather than Sorcery itself. So firing arrows for all available targets in your line of sight, making ranged shockwave attacks with a melee weapon, stopping Wyld from affecting things are all 'Charms' rather than 'Sorcery'. It's entirely likely that two 'sorcerers' will fight each other with martial arts, melee, or ranged charms rather than spells.
They cost anywhere between 0 to 10,15 motes, and the higher level ones tend to make you burn willpower as well or if you use them in combos.

Whereas "Sorcery" spells tend to start off at 10 and go up from there, and from memory most spells need willpower too.

The absolute max I think an Essence 5 character has is around 90 motes in 2nd ed.
>>

>It's based on the movie instead of the TV series
I'm disappointed because I actually enjoyed the series, though I admit it's been so long that I don't actually remember anything about it.

As for criticism, I can't really give any because of how early this draft is, there's just not really much that I see to comment on because of how unfinished it is. A quick glance doesn't show me anything wrong with it, but I can't give much advice until there's more there.

The spiritual lines is how the attacks resolve as they do, and the creature's body counting as vulnerable is why you auto-score crits and break things, IIRC, but you're right, that's actually important flavor text. The "vulnerable point" has to do with how mechanics resolve for beings with damage resistance, and is thus not really important here.

Luck Favors The Prepared
Home Sweet Home
Nomanisan Island
Companion Import

I'm going in as a Super Kid, and since it's the Glory days I'm fluffing it as being Elasi-Girls 13 year old sibling.

My desire for a return to glory and the presence of villains with some or all of my out of jump powers means I spend the 15 years between Supers being outlawed and the movie fighting as a Vigilante, getting in trouble with law enforcement and always having to be on the move because people keep seeing me doing things and spreading rumors.

Teenage hormones lead to the SO and I having a lot more arguments than usual, and she begins to think my wanderlust is actual lust, and that I might be cheating on her.

Fortunately, around the time Bob and Helen make up I'm able to convince her that's not the case, and we live happily ever after...

Till the next jump at least, whatever that will be.

Also, as the favorite uncle I drop in randomly, and just so happen to join in on a certain 'bowling night'. Fun times.

If you can put a world in a bottle, do it. The only prohibition with mixing extra dimensional spaces is in D&D with Portable Holes and Sacks of Holding.
Turning your Warehouse into a Portal Park with world sized annexes is totally doable, either by Hyper Dimensional spaces or Super Shrinking Skills.

I am reminded of Grandfather in Traveller, who pinched off entire solar systems and attached them to space ships, using the sun for power. And having a RV with planets worth of space as an incidental side effect.

(Yes, I'm going through the effort of building the whole thing legitimately regardless since it helps me feel like as much of a skuzzball in-story as I am ooc)

The second one is, what happens with things we bought with our mid-season points if we're not rolling around in the same mech? Whether because we retooled it completely into something else, put the parts into another mech after arrival, or someone else was given it/stole it? Would they just be given us for the sake of adding to our current mech, whatever it is?

I made it pretty clearly why I felt I needed to do that, but that was a conversation for the other day.

Yes on buying the engine, it was meant to be a reflection of them not being super tactical and more reliant on magic attacks, so less points overall mechanically

That last one? I have no clue, honestly I was kind of relying on people to not go completely solo to make sense from a story perspective. Honestly I couldn't imagine people going evil if only because of how dangerously tightrope the SRW plot gets. Seriously you could kill one or two characters and completely remove your only way of sealing away an eldritch abomination

I do kinda feel pretty shitty for saying "you're doing it wrong!", specially trying to make it up in different jump by providing villain options to make the concept of it more palatable to me. But at the same time the plot of SRW is just really tightrope in terms of "Siding with the heroes and not getting them on your case" being the good option compared to... everything else.

I should update my build whenever I get back to my PC then. Think it's a bit expensive though, iirc the other engines around 30-40 points in price seemed like they're a bit better from all the videos I've watched.

Honestly I probably should've gone after Darkness (robot is Issifile? Something? Not on my computer so I can't remember) or something since I doubt anyone empathizes with him as much, but hostility makes me stubborn.

>>48648888
>Not something I'd want in my quiver.
If you have dimensional travel abilities, it is no big. The Astral Plane is not outer space; everyone can survive there. It is more like being banished to the Phantom Zone.
Except this IS D&D, so you might be eaten by something native to there instead of being released 100 years later. Or enslaved by the gith?
Also pertinent, no one ages on the Astral, but it does not stop aging, only suspend the imposition of accrued age. Once you leave, you quickly age all that suspended time at once. So if Zod was trapped there, when he got out like he always does, he would have probably aged to death shortly after.

No, there's a robot from the earlier games, name starts with an I, who has an A-rank Earth Spirit named Darkness. He was a villain and just doesn't show up in the later games, made as an anti-masoukishin masoukishin, basically.
>>
>>48649076
>so you might be eaten by something native to there
Basically a certainty if you're just a random commoner that happens to get caught in the radius when some adventurer gets drunk and fires the wrong arrow in a pub trickshot contest; the Astral Plane has a lot of very nasty predators, even if actually being on the plane as well takes away their primary trick.
If you can afford to throw around bags of holdings and portable holes as special ammunition, you're probably high enough level (or at least, far enough over WBL) you can deal.
Gith are still nasty, though. Especially when they bring the Red Dragons.

It's based on the upgrade missions rather than the runes you equip in game so the effects are the ones described.

If you do a bunch of the sword missions in game your sword becomes better and more elven in appearance. Think there might be dagger ones that do the same thing.

Ah, fair enough. Not quite what I'd hoped, but pretty decent.
I take it the "special powers or items" referred to in Enslaved include the pet purchases, but does it apply to companions (imported or otherwise) as well? Seems like we'd basically just have to wait and hope Talion or the Outcasts bust us out, otherwise (or be totally buggered with Gravewalker), but if not, it (and The White Hand, to a lesser extent) are basically free points for a companion jumper...

Huh, well color me surprised if the wiki's right.

I'm just ambivalent towards the wiki, then again its hard enough to find SRW info anyways, plus translation errors, power level memes that accidentally end up being believed in, and overall /m/ stuff having little to no support
>>
>>48643797
Generally speaking, if it's a fiat double, then one would imagine it would double what you have and double anything you gain.
>>
>>48649275
Yeah I meant to make that explicit before so I've done so here. You have access to nothing as Enslaved starts and everything as The White Hand starts.

Enslaved requires you to get extremely lucky or Batman your way out basically.

The White Hand requires a staff to be broken that you're compelled to not want broken so A) Saruman is going to get you to do all kinds of shit and B) any companions you have are going to have to break the staff.
>>
>>48649317
Yeah the wiki is really crappy, it's made researching the series pretty hard. At best its given me names to look up videos for, but that just helps in determining what the mechs can do, more than what happens in the story or what the characters are like.
>>
>>48649203
Yeah, the dagger goes from being a jagged broken sword blade to being a proper dagger. The bow upgrades too, though most people don't realize it since it's so minor. It gets an inscription in Khazdul carved into it.
>>
>>48649294
Originally, I assume it has a range comparable to a standard recurve--a few hundred meters or so.

after a combination of perks, I rebuilt it (and reinforced the arrows) to have an effective range near 2km in addition to MCU's radiation resistance and several general toughness and durability perks making me near-immune to harmful radiation/energy.

So yes.
>>
Hey, I just thought of a weird perk.

Would an aura of effect perk work better if it was one that:
-Would cause bystanders and those in the right to act more righteous and judicial, granting you assistance?
-Would cause those morally grey, amoral or subtly wicked to abandon subtlety and act straight up evil, allowing you to act against them without the hesitation of plausible deniability?

>Drawbacks: Wrath of Nazarick (-600)
>>48648997
>And a return to Jump 0. That was a fun trip.
Any particular reason WHY you took the 600 CP drawback instead of 600 CP of lesser drawbacks. The only reason people usually do that is to bump the limit to +800 CP.

If you were going to take the Wrath, you want a World Item to either ward you from Scry and Die and teleport blocks (the anklets and bracelet) or the Ring AND Warding specialty AND Abyss to super charge the warding spells AND Level 100 for high enough level warding spells to matter.

WHY oh why did you not take Level 100 if you were their enemy? Because you need to do that, or go somewhere random and impersonate a random commoner for 10 years (and still need the latter two rings so they cannot find you by magic)

Also, as a local you could have got all the companions for 350 CP and did the scenario to give them Level 100 (any they could have helped establishing the kingdom and felt like they were earning that level 100)

I like to tell people about perks when it does not change the effect of perks.
>So just to let you know, I have this mind control power that makes you surprised every time I pull a new power out of my ass. So the next time we meet, I am going to use a new power you have never seen me use before, and you are going to be caught flatfooted like an idiot, even though I am telling you this. I have already pulled this on you five times, and will keep doing it in the future. So have fun feeling like an idiot in the future. Bye now!

Also perks that let you just walk in like you own the place, make totally unbelievable statements that are taken at face value, and then once I leave, use the Toggle so they realized what happened, and they just let that guy out of prison because I handed them a piece of paper with crayon scribbling on it. And it was not even an illusion, they just treated a 5 year old;s drawings like valid release papers.

No, it's an amazing Turn Based Strategy game.

You take a nation and its pretender god and claim territory, the thrones of ascension, and kill all other pretenders to the title of Pantokrator, the one true god, and that's the win condition.

I think babylon literal took one of the Doom Horrors from that game, umor or something, and made it a boss in the Age of Ice DLC. It has a fair amount of lore and the power levels can be pretty ridiculous if you consider all the flavor and the fluff.

It's on steam.

is slightly better than the wiki, /m/'s desire for perfectionism aside. Thankfully OG1/2 are in English GBA wise, though there are small plot differences between the GBA and PS2 version (namely Axel's personality), with the PS2 version being canonical.

The Masoukishin plotlines are pretty much untranslated except for 1, due to existing long ago, and F, since that ended up having plot relevant to the greater seriesline

Why doesn't Zelda Jump as a generic?
>>
>>48649404
1. Immune to scrying already, through that perk in dune, and Mind Blank, and a few other perks besides. And immune to instant death powers due to the amulet from Mario RPG, and am a precognitive teleporter to actually dodge spells before they're cast besides. Scry and Die doesn't really work on my jumper.
2. I don't really need level 100, considering I'm a 30000 year old DnD wizard/cleric/druid/whatever with enough levels that my character sheet would break the rules if transplanted directly to the Yggdrasil system.
3. I'm going to say I died in a terrifying explosion that took all of Nazarick with me, because Momonga was a restraining belt. I'd started my chain before we got this jump, so I jumped to conclusions with killing him first. Without him, and with several other level 100s and World Items, and they figured out how to target my ships and island.

So, basically I pooled 2 dozen millenia of fortune energy , all the magic I could, chakra, etc, with Megalovania, took advantage of Dual Arts, and handled the problem I created as best I could. So, basically, I got bored and wanted to do a different chain.

IT IS.

So feel free to make a specific Link to the Past Jump, and/or a Wind Waker one, with Origins, Perks, Items specific to that setting.

Zelda Jump is better them no Zelda Jump, but a jump for each separate Zelda game is better still.

He just said he wanted to do a different chain so made up a reason to end the current one. Not sure why he didn't just do an endjump, but that's his choice.
>>
>>48649845
>implying
Why is it that any attempt to define things by standards less vague and vapid than 'well the jump calls it reality warping/magic, so it just is', autistic?
>>
>>48649820
>Then how come everyone tore apart the idea for a Pokemon Breeder jump?
Because Zelda jumps are like separate settings, where even if they are not separate worlds, are separated in time by many years.

Pokemon Breeding is something you can do in regular Pokemon jumps, and they DO do that in games and the anime.
>>
>>48649648
They have control over time, can eat it, manipulate it, shit like that.
>>
>>48649628
Cuffs are not shackles. Shackles are usually bolted on, not locked. No lock, nothing to pick.
>>
>>48649820
Because there's nothing stopping you from becoming a pokemon breeder, in the existing jump.
>>
>>48649717
Because generics don't actually cover any games. Zelda actually does cover all the games.

These three:

I loved Majora's Mask. So much.
>>
>>48649915
Except there is much from each of the seperate zelda setting missing from the primary jump. Like how the JLD/Mythic jumps are being made since the pre-existing DC jumps miss out on many points of it.
There is more than enough content and lore to make a full series of zelda jumps alongside the existing one.
Take a chill pill, eh?

>>48649915
Breastmilk Anime? WTF?
>>48649924
Yeah. Majora's Mask is my fave in that series. Followed by Link to the Past and Wind Waker. But if I really wanted to do a LttP jump, I'd just do a LbW jump instead, since it's not covered by the Zelda Jump but the two games are virtually identical in gameplay, just with different lore.
>>
>>48649861
I think for the same reason why the Joker is still a threat and Batman can thwart Darkseid-because the writers need to keep normie character relevant to get dem fanboy bucks, so they wank them to high heaven by having all the supers job hard to them.
>>
>>48649944
>There's a lot missing!
So? Every jump is obligated to provide a perk for everything in the setting now?

>JLD
Cool Cats specifically said more DC was okay. To do the same for Zelda, you'd have to track down Rukipedia.

Magic alchemy is fueled by sucking on girl's tits or something.
>>
>>48649915
>Zelda actually does cover all the games.
It covers them the same way the Investigation jump covers CSI, Psyche, Monk, and Dexter.

If you squint really hard, sure, it's a fine jump that /totally/ covers over a dozen games.
>>
>>48649820
If you want a different pokemon jump it needs a different setting. For example pokemon insurgence or maybe pokemon go
>>
>>48649956
Not that anon, but he's talking about Seiken no Qwaser. Basically, it's an anime where people have powers based off of the Periodic Table if I remember right, and they're powered by soma aka breast milk. So, the MC and the villains both suck on breasts for more power. The bigger the pair, the more power is available, if I remember right. The argument was that the setting actually had lore and other stuff to the setting, but it was shot down because breast milk and drinking it from the tap was a major part of the story.
>>
>>48649817
Because I'm impulsive enough that when they attacked my people I showed up in person and made sure they all were caught in the blast and actually killed by it. Which put me at dead center, and everyone else at dead. Lighthawk Wings were used against the strongest there in tandem with the fuck-it bomb. My companions even did they could. Fate warping magic, curses, pretty much everything they had. The ships used their full arsenal. Warping space was the only thing saving the rest of the world, and that just cycled the blast through the area a few more times.

I have an extremely high level of violence, besides. Killing is something that doesn't even affect my jumper if it needs doing. So Megalovania is what did it, in the end.

>>48649868
This too. I was going to take a few more high-risk high-reward jumps, like Asura's wrath and a dozen others that might force me into dangerous situations. Jump 300 was going to be Dragon Ball.

>>48649916
I'm a truly, truly shitty writer. I think you can look up my attempts at writing Light of Terra out, for details.

Who cares? The jump is generic as hell, and I doubt Rukipedia is such a massive bitch that he'd want his jump blocking off a fuckton of content that so many people are interested in.

You mean what you're doing when ever you call things that aren't reality warping as much?

I'm telling you to use words according to the meanings that would make any amount of sense for them to have and go by, and not just throw them around regardless of their actual meaning like you seem to love doing so much.

Is that really so difficult? A retarded child could understand this concept, why can't you? Why are you so fucking stupid? Why can't you ever fucking take even a fucking second to think or learn anything for once in your worthless lives?

I've explained this to you dumbfucks so many times. Why do you never get it though your thick skulls that you're fucking wrong? How do you not understand yet that you don't know what you're talking about?

Those two should actually be a single jump, they are the adventure of a single Link
>>
>>48650042
Not unless you get Rukipedia's permission. It's as simple as that. If he's not here, check in IRC and if not then, ask around and see if people have other ways of contacting him. Last time this came up Red mentioned having him on skype.
>>
>>48650042
No.
>>
>>48650048
Nah bitchboy. The thread rules are decided by the whims of the anons in it, and right now people are more in favor of Zelda jumps than they are opposed.
>>48650055
He's gone. I mean holy shit people, this isn't a discussion about replacing a jump. This is like saying that because the generic DC jump has Gotham as one of it's locations we shouldn't have a Batman or Gotham jump.

It was inspiring and heart breaking to watch a man go through hell for the woman he loved and know she wasn’t worth it. I helped Jensen as much as I could.

I helped him cut a few corners but sever lack of proof of what was going on made it a little tough to just cut right to the heart of the matter.

It was actually sad to see him reunited with Megan Reed and find out how badly she had betrayed him.
I was disgusted and the normally cool and easygoing Akitsu verbally eviscerated Megan and left her weeping. I was a little stunned and a little proud.

We managed to stop Darrow from sending the signal. I convinced him it wasn’t a good idea. I had gathered enough information to actually blackmail the Illuminati and got them to recall the chip.

They spent the rest of my time there trying to kill me. So I made sure to be as big a pain in the ass to them as I could.

Anyways it was a tough time for Adam Jensen, at the end of my time here I asked if he wanted to come along and he agreed, so my band got it’s first permanent roadie.
>>
>>48650031
Fanmade game. It's pretty good though. Only played the first bit of it but it's got an interesting plot line and lets you use pokemon abilities more freely, like getting a pokemon to use transform to disguise you and stuff like that.
>>
>>48650080
Generics do not block off access to other jumps being made. Simple as that.

Or are you saying we shouldn't have True Lies because we have 90's Action Movie?
>>
Why are you entertaining this argument? Generic jumps never block more specific ones, even within the same setting. There can and should be more Zelda jumps, the one that exists will not block out any others from being made, it doesn't have that authority.
>>
>>48650102

Yeah it is way darker than normal pokemon games, one of the cultist leaders using their pokemon to kill people for example. You do get an option to change the story setting from dark to light hearted though.
>>
>>48650323
Except it's not a generic. If you want to make an individual jump of any of the specific settings, you go and get permission. Go on, people have told you how. Get it and everyone will accept you. Unless you have some reason to not try and get permission?

>>48650342
Generics cannot be jumps with actual settings. A generic is a jump like generic medical drama or generic magical girl. No matter how much you want otherwise, Zelda is not a generic jump.

>>
>>48650363
>I have yet to hear an actual reason WHY
Because we don't allow redundant jumps in the same setting and time period without justification and permission. You've been told this. You just ignore it to shitpost.
>>
>>48650363
Because your replacing part of someone else's work. If you want to hear the arguments for why that is the rule here, search the archives for the hundred times we've had that discussion. It's best not to have two shitstorms at once.
>>
>>48650367
And why should someone play go-between when it's just going to result in them catching merry hell when thread's ever-capricious bullshit decides to stick the bulls-eye on their back?

We have two Avatar jumps, and they're legit in the same exact universe.
If there's enough setting for two Avatar jumps there's enough setting for OoT and MM.

As >>48650209 said it's another reality, with it's own story.
The fact that it's got the same Link in it, post-OoT, is just a neat tidbit.

Oh hey, guess what Kotor got from Wild Card when he made LoK? Permission. He asked. He especially asked because he used plenty of stuff from the first jump.
>>
>>48650183
I suppose you could do them in a single jump but I think that there's enough material to make them into two. Not sure how anyone would balance the song of time from Majora though.
>>
>>48650387
I'd say that wasn't retarded, except that the people who would shit on Red/Wakfu/Jesus for getting permission for more Zelda jumps can, have, and will continue to shit on them for existing. There's no actual reason for Red not to do it, stop shitstirring.
>>
>>48650357
>Generics cannot be jumps with actual settings
Yes they can. With the Zelda jump, each "Location" is a different continuity, with different history, backstory, and play.

And it has bland generic perks they do not really fit one even one of the settings.

It is a generic jump for several different games,

Here is a Hint. If the jumps "Locations" are mutually exclusive, and nice you are in one you cannot go to the others, it is a generic jump.

A jump is not allowed (and should not) to lock out several different worlds by taking it.

>>48650425
That's still not what a generic jump is. It's a jump that covers multiple games in a setting, not generic. Doesn't matter how much you scream about it, you can't change the definition of what a generic jump is when you want to.
>>
Red is asleep, and Rukipedia has not been responding to skype calls from other jumpmakers. I'll try again tomorrow.

For now let's all chill out, eh?

It would indeed be nice if people could be patient and reasonable on both sides. Fear people won't bother when they can continue screaming.

>>
>>48650456
It's google trying to improve their identification software.
>>
>>48650402
IT DOESN'T MATTER. It is a generic jump that encompasses multiple significantly different settings across different time periods, they even in parallel fucking timelines for fucking god's sake. This is as generic as it gets. You don't need to ask permission from other jumpmakers to make a jump in a setting encompassed by a generic jump like that.

The setting is large enough to facilitate multiple jumps and there being only one that constitutes all of that is what makes it a generic.

I now have the great ability of... something to do with Wisdom, my vote is more common sense as I'll always need that.
I can't see myself dying here to anything so I'm going to just head to Jojo, where I may or may not get punched out of my Mech.
Pic Related is what I looked like this time.
>>
>>48650417
I recognize that, that's not what we were discussing anon.

If you had read the chain of responses you'd know that we were discussing whether or not hypothetical Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask jumps should be one jump or two separate ones.

Justice stated that since MM is a continuation of OoT Link's story, they should be one, hypothetically.
But I argued that they're different enough to be two separate jumps because they're different realities.

Again, we were debating how they would be done, not whether they should be done or not.
>>
>>48650489
All your opinion. It is still not a generic jump. Generic jumps are OC jumps based on genres. This is just a jump that covers multiple parts of one singular setting.

And once more we say, go and get permission. Or wait until tomorrow when people ask for you.
>>
>>48650489
It's not a generic,

>Do you have any kids jumpers?

It started with one. A darling daughter from an alternate timeline in Fire Emblem: Awakening named Elizabeth.
It extended to two - Elizabeth DeWitt was semi-adopted, though she considered me more an uncle than a father.
The events of FF12:RW and Dissidia occurred, and suddenly I found myself with two more daughterus. Yzzabelle from the Egg of White, and Violet from the Voidwyrm Egg.
Then came Fire Emblem: Fates where the last two went from adopted to full biological descendants.
Then Heaven's fucking Generic Parenting where Alice was born.
And then Elfen Lied happened, with Nana.
AND THEN IN LEAGUE OF LEGENDS, I ADOPT A SON. A BABY STAR DRAGON BOY.

HELP ME.

The Jump is trying to represent of ALL the Zelda Games, and not any specific Zelda game.

It is the very definition of Generic. Maybe instead of asserting facts that are not true, you get gooder with words and stuff?
>>
>>48650547
I have no idea. Never actually played it, just felt like this was a fitting opportunity to mention it.

Head to Generic Parenting and give them at least one damn good childhood and also make them all inherit your powers. I found that helped bond with my daughter last chain.
>>
>>48648366
Out of curiousity, how did you envisage your jumper's stay and their beating of Unforeseen Consequences? Refusing the G-Man throws you into "an eternal battle against unimaginable horrors"; in the game, Gordon gets teleported (minus his weapons) into another dimension full of Alien Grunts and Controllers (and other things) to be pretty much insta-killed, and the lore implies the G-Man is working for some kind of powerful extra/multi-dimensional organisation or entities.
>>
>>48650563
Posts like this that amount "MAYBE YOU'RE JUST WRONG" make it more likely you're shitposting, not less.

Sure. Dragon Age only covered the first and second games anyway. Much like how Inquisition was made, people have said nothing against Zelda settings like Hyrule Warriors being made.

What else is there to say in response to a post that amounts to "You're just shitposting" without giving any more evidence then that he's getting the same answer? Is telling someone 1+1=2 repeatedly when asked over and over shitposting?
>>
I feel that the current LoZ jump treads the line between generic/not generic the same way LoT treads the line between Gauntlet and normal jump.

Technically it's not generic, but only in name. It's as bland as saltless Saltines, or a smear of eggshell white on an actually white canvas.

However, as much as I want more Zelda jumps that more accurately depict the various settings, I find myself in agreement with the 'wait for permission' side of this argument.

We can't just go around knocking out old, poorly made jumps without permission.
For crying out loud, people even asked BANCHO for permission to replace/fix his jumps.

It's only fair that we ask for permission from this Rukipedia individual.

Just one anon's thoughts on the matter. I'm probably wrong.
>>

>>
>>48650584

Whether it's generic or not, I think that there's enough room for individual jumps set on seperate games of the series. Personally I want an ocarina of time jump because I remember playing it as a kid and I'd like a jump based solely on it.
>>
>>48650585

Lets see,
One chuuni sword wielding daughter in Parenting who became the protagonist of her parents' native world, with heavy, heavy assistance from her aunts and uncles
One, much quieter, mage son due to Fire Emblem Awakening. I took the Avatar drawback so it was hard to rekindle those bonds
And then an adopted daughter in the form of the inactivated clone in Ragnarok
>>
>>48643598
I chose The D Project for DX:HR so I've got nanites, do they help with anything?
>>
>>48650612
Nobody's replacing anything whether or not the jumps are even made.

For that matter, the argument at this point is entirely about if Zelda is a generic jump or not and if permission is even needed to make a jump in the same setting.

See >>48650634

Another way to do it would be to combine Recettear's Shopkeeper (consume an item to put a trait from it into another item) and any other perk/item that allows you to duplicate items: just dupe an item until you have enough copies to get all the traits you want out it.
>>

Nah, the person making a Zelda jump can do what he wants. We're just pissing about because of the implications that permission was ever necessary in the first place rather than an action out of politeness.
