I've seen a number of RPGs where the PC's pilot mecha for action scenes, but are there any where the players have direct control over actual Kaiju?
I know there are some Kaiju-based battle games like Monsterpocalypse, but I'm specifically talking about RPGs. The players would probably also have to have human characters for plot reasons, but control the beasties when it's time to throw down.

I don't know any specific systems for it, but overall I think you'd want something along the lines of Digimon where the kid has the little monster buddy that turns into a giant monster buddy for a while when things get serious.

I think there is an ORE system that is basically made for this but the name unfortunately escapes me right now...

I would feel bad for the shitty pacific rim kaiju in that match up. Big G is literally out of their weight class.

Well a Unit in Adeva is basically a person in a rubber suit, so there's that.

Not mention that particular kaiju is a category 1. As in the weakest, the sort that Jaeger Rangers don't even break a sweat beating to a pulp.
It is literally the weakest of all the Pacific Rim kaiju, as Trespasser was the first scout.

IIRC there was a deleted scene in the Iron Giant where Nick's TV picks up a signal of the giant dreaming about conquering planets with other giants.

Not just that anon, Pacific Rim Kaiju in canon are basically made out of styrofoam to escape the Square Cube Law.
Big G outmasses the biggest PR Kaiju by OOMs.
