Monologues

"Attention, citizens of Delta City. Our occupational force has neutralized your city guard, and our intelligence estimates that your national military will not be able to bring a force sufficient to challenge us for at least four days, perhaps more.
"We are offering all citizens forty-eight hours to evacuate the city. If you or a loved one has impaired mobility, we will be happy to provide an escort to assist you. We will not harm you; we will not pursue you; but you will never again be able to return to the city.
"Anyone left within city limits after 48 hours will be cut down without mercy. Thank you for your attention. I hope you folks have a pleasant day otherwise."

None because my players are assholes who trip over each other trying to snipe the bad guy if he says more than two words to them.

Then started complaining when I started giving him bulletproof escape plans should that happen(because being an intelligent tactician is part of the BBEG's character and personality, and he learned after the first time that they'll basically try to murder him if they're in the same room given the chance.)

And of course complained more when one of them wanted to do this big monologue and got shot at by the hostile enemies he was attempting to monologue at. The irony was completely lost on them.

That's one reason I like sci-fi campaigns. The enemies can taunt the PCs over radio, leaving them unable to shoot him mid taunt.

Now, you enter a giant chamber. It resembles a cathedral in some twisted way. Where a priest should be giving a sermon, there is [BBEG] and he is amused to see you here
>BBEG:"Ah, my good friends! You finally arrived, i was starting to thi-"
>"I teleport in front of him and attack" (rolling)
...Roll again
>"Uh, why?" (Roll)
Your character blinks in front of him and slashes him open. Then he realizes that actually there was nothing there. He catches himself just before falling into a hole so dark you can't even see the bottom.
>BBEG:"Well, that's just rude"
He says as his hologram fizzes out and the glass ceiling starts collapsing

I prefer a simple loudspeaker

That or they try to smash their spacesuit radio because the BBEG found a way to talk to them over it.

I tried to monologue once. My players pointed out that since they had visual, they were just going to have lance strike on the BBEG's location.

The BBEG had really good shielding, and survived, but his monologue was cut short. I hate playing Rogue Trader.

In general, the MGS ones are nice if you want a quick-n-dirty monologue that's a little deep but not TOO deep.

We were storming a governor's mansion on Only War, and he had a consort with him who was highly augmented and pumped full of combat drugs. I play the squad medic, and I lug around a grenade launcher. Once we got the better of her, and she was crawling away on the floor in the room below us, I aimed my grenade launcher down at her and said:

"Take two of these and call me in the morning"

Before we unloaded the Emperor's retribution.
