GG as a setting just doesn't give a fuck about simulating anything, and is instead just an excuse for fun fights with diverse characters. So pointbuy games that need you to meticulously build characters (M&M and GURPS) are pretty much missing the point. The fighting game RPGs (SF2, Fight!, Thrash) capture the mechanics in some form, but this makes them clunky to play with.

Legends of the Wulin could be great tho, but I think it'd need a lot of brewing, since the styles are tied to the setting (I may be mixing it up with some other wuxia RPG).

With that in mind, while a wide-hipped woman might be able to handle pretty big dicks, I don't think they'd be able to make the jump to werewolf. These days Ive got a phone (no upgrades) and a 360 (just using it for Netflix and plex and dramafever, because i don't want to rely on a bluetooth keyboard / mouse remote to watch Netflix and Plex on my tv).

Aside from that, it's hard to get me invested in non upgradable gaming hardware these days.

Especially when there's a ton of good pc games ive been wanting to play and haven't had time to, and when (using an emulator) i can play old titles I either didn't finish our missed out on, in hd, on my 40 inch 1080p tv, as opposed to low res on a tiny screen.

The argument used to be for games with a controller, but it's trivial to use any xbox 360/one or bluetooth dualshock controller on pc, and adapters for gamecube/ps1/ps2/xbox controllers are cheap.

To get me sold on a new console, it would take some really good exclusive games on a console i can't emulate, or something to make me give a shit about the multiplayer when i typically hate any online multiplayer game where the other players can talk to me. It's a hard sell to make me to pick it up.

I mean, I like LAN parties, but i haven't seen anyone do console lan parties since halo 1 on original xbox.

It would be different if i could upgrade my console like a pc, and the games were compatible with newer or upgraded versions of the console, pretty much indefinitely. If someone (say Sony) would commit to that, and the new console could run all the previous sony system games (from the discs if i still have them and pick up the appropriate peripheral), I'd go buy one right now, and keep it up to date. I dont ever expect that will happen, but that would be the easiest way to get my immediate brand loyalty rather than having to really work to convince me to go for each new console you put out.

The closest I've gotten to getting a new console lately is considering a premodded 3ds that can output to a TV, for competitive Pokémon.

I'm running a game using modified Qin system. Not strictly GG, but more based around Curazhee fighting games in general. DMC, GG with a touch of Brutal Legend.

Characters stats are renamed to Metal, Blood, Fire, Lightning, and Noise. System is pretty fast so it works well keeping the pace of play.

It was assumed she was more than that, but apparently Ishiwatari said she was just a special human and those immunities/immortality is really all she's got going for her.

I don't go out of my way to restrict what players can do with their own characters, as long as they aren't disrupting the flow of the game by sidetracking the party just so they can act out some silly in-game romance. If players merely want to announce that they're engaged in a relationship and want to fight alongside each other, then that's fine. Starting a romantic liaison quest on the other hand is too much of a distraction that brings the game to a grinding halt for everybody else.

Doesn't matter to me what the nature of the pairing or relationship may be - interspecies, gay, trans, gay and trans interspecies, whatever. It's their characters. Although I probably wouldn't allow monstrous species to be playable in any of my campaigns, as it typically doesn't make sense for these species to be cooperating with humans and demihumans. For instance, I would think lizardfolk are pretty sectarian. What common goals could they have with a human party? Why would they even venture away from their swamplands in the first place?
