>What is a Stand?
For those unfamiliar to the series, a Stand is a physical manifestation of a person's spirit. Each person has their own unique Stand with the possibility of a host of powerful abilities. Stands are named after songs or albums!
http://jjba.wikia.com/wiki/Stand

>For a quick Stand, use:

(make sure you make a connection between the name and the ability!)

Let's do this, /sss/.
>>
Let's convert an album into an organization!

The rules are simple: we anons pick an album, and then go through it from start to beginning, making Stands for each song, and then at the very end decide on a common theme among its users.

post number ending in 4 chooses the album
>>
「KING TWILIGHT」(King of Twilight - Iron Maiden)

Appearance: 「KING TWILIGHT」takes the appearance of a dark cape with humanoid features.

User: A relative to the Higashikatas, can't really think of anything

Abilities: Should「KING TWILIGHT」touch anyone, the victim develops severe nyctophobia (the fear of darkness). This fear is so severe that the victim cannot even close their eyes for a short period of time without getting incredibly anxious.「KING TWILIGHT」's effect is temporary as it only lasts a week, though 「TWILIGHT KING」can be called back at any time.

A drawback to this is that「KING TWILIGHT」is an automatic stand, and cannot be used in fighting. When a victim succumbs to 「KING TWILIGHT」's effect, 「KING TWILIGHT」is attached to their back, sort of like「CHEAP TRICK」

>>48360398
Does the Stand transfer like Cheap Trick or does it just end in a week or whenever the victim dies?

I might add this to a JoJo session i'm hosting, just inflict severe nyctophobia on a guy and see if he notices.
>>
>>48360523
I imagine it's sort of like Yo Yo Ma. If the victim dies or the week ends or something then it just goes back to the original user. When I was using the Cheap Trick example, I meant that the stand would be attached to the victims back.

Reposting a Stand from a previous thread.

[Alejandro] is a Stand bound to the man of the same name. The owner, a young girl named Gabriela Pitaluga, had her Stand activate during the middle of a commercial flight, and it bound itself to the man sitting next to her.

With the Stand active, Alejandro can fight against other Stands (much like Scary Monsters allows Diego to fight) and has the power of an ordinary punchghost, including a range of E. Alejandro believes that fate keeps them together, not Stands, so he refuses to leave Gabriela's side.

Beside punchghost stats, Gabriela has a glowing yellow circle at the base of her index finger that allows her to shoot ring targets. These rings, once etched onto a surface, become targets for Alejandro. The large man flies towards the ring, contorting himself and tearing through the ring to the other side of the surface. In this process, he is unharmed. However, because his Stand is E range, he must boomerang back with the same speed and damage.

My favorite was a d10 set in post-WW2 New York where the group had to fight a doctor who had the ability to make anyone have 6 seconds of lag when seeing things. I actually ended up using this Stand >>48360789 for the right hand man. He was a WW2 amputee who just grew his skeleton into extremely sturdy bone limbs. 「CRAWLING KING SNAKE」(Crawlin' King Snake - John Lee Hooker)

Appearance:「CRAWLING KING SNAKE」takes two forms:

1. A crossbow attached to the user's arm

2. The arrow, which resembles some worm-like creature.

User: Something something Higashikata

Ability: The arrow of 「CRAWLING KING SNAKE」has the ability to take control of any animal it can get a hold of, including humans. Once the arrow connects to the animal's brain, the user is able to control that animal as if it were his stand. This effect lasts ten minutes and it takes fifteen minutes to reload.

If I'm allowed to vote again then I'm voting for Fragile.
>>
>>48361423
Post as many times as you want, we all love to see other anons' creativity.

I like the synergy between the name and the actual ability and I feel like it could be powerful in the right hands. Got a few questions:

Is the crossbow the Stand or is the worm? If it's the latter, then the crossbow would be to the user what the purple revolver is to Mista, right? Can it affect humans?

Anyway, good shit. Id love to see your take on [Kill the King]
>>
>>48361532

>>
>>48360039
Fourth for Fragile
>>
>>48361566
Yeah that's what I was going for. But the worm being the stand and the crossbow is a physical object is a cool idea as well.

Also yeah it affects humans.
>>
Fuck it, looks like nobody is going to get a four, so I'm going to have to override as host.

What with this being the first time we do this, the overwhelming amount of votes for it, and the spirit of JoJo, let's do Fragile by Yes.

First song up to bat is [Roundabout], the absolute classic.

Anybody have any ideas?

A few threads back, an anon suggested one that essentially made etch a sketch lines in the ground, and as soon as somebody stepped on a line, they'd have to follow that line until the end. So, the user could lead the line to a wood chipper and the person who steps on is unable to avoid it. This is a viable option.
>>
>>48361668
I think I've seen 5 different ways of doing Roundabout.
>>

>>
>>48361762
>>48361825
Well one of them is being used for a module I think. The others I just remember seeing the name while glazing over threads.
>>
>>48361838
I dont use the roll 20 sheets but the d100 sheet wont work with d10. Just use google docs or some shit.
>>
eh fuck it

「SOUTH SIDE SKIES」(the other songs are hard)

Appearance:「SOUTH SIDE SKIES」takes the appearance of 40-50 miniature (3 cm big) bi-planes. The bi-planes themselves are colored sky blue.

User: YOU DECIDE!!! (lotto tune)

Abilities:「SOUTH SIDE SKIES」has the ability to control the wind based on the direction and speed the bi-planes fly at. This is limited to a small area (I'm thinking 10-20 meters?) but can be deadly if used creatively. For example, if every bi-plane fly in a circular motion, it would create a miniature tornado.
>>
Alright, considering Roundabout is iconic (and we don't have good suggestions for it right now), we can move on to [Cans and Brahms].

An instrumental, we'll have to go purely off of name.

My first suggestion: a springy, humanoid Stand made of soup cans with the style of a desperado, [Cans and Brahms] allows the storing of any material in any of its containers. Its accuracy is amazing, and any projectile stored within can fired at insane speeds: from solids to liquids to gas. [Cans and Brahms]'s second ability is to switch properties between objects in cans. For example, he fires a slime from his right hand can. As the slime flies through the air, it wraps around a pile and boomerang towards the enemy. Suddenly, C&B sticks a blade into his right hand can, and suddenly the slime is hard, rigid, and sharp. With this ability, the slime was able to change trajectory, but still have the killing power of a blade.
>>
>>48362210
I personally like this Stand a lot, considering it's not just outright manipulating the air and the name has a great synergy with the actual ability. Its also one of the few OC Swarm Stands that are actually creative

What kind of person would have this Stand?
>>
>>48362259
Wow that's actually pretty cool if I'm understanding it right.

So C&B can store anything in its cans and fire it at will. Along with that, it is able to switch the properties of objects in these cans, right? That's pretty creative. The only thing I'm not getting is the boomeranging thing.
>>
>>48362327
Maybe a guy that acts chaotically, since wind acts chaotically as well?

I dunno. Character building isn't my thing
>>
>>48362332
You have pretty much everything right.

The boomerang thing was pretty much situational to the slime. All I was saying is that the slime he fired bent around the pole and flew in a different direction, something the knife couldn't have done by itself. I shouldn't have used the word boomerang t b h

Something I noticed about JoJo at some point is that Araki never spins his wheels with his power sources. They don't simply evolve from part to part. Araki puts new spins on the concepts which are unique to each part.

> Part 1
Hamon is a basic, run of the mill Kung Fu superpower. Vampires are masters of their physical bodies and can raise the dead to do their bidding. They are the result of the Stone Mask. Hamon more or less is humanity's equalizer to vampires.

> Part 2
Hamon is capable of all kinds of tricks. It also tends to be associated with some kind of focus e.g. Joseph uses clackers and string, Caesar uses bubbles, Lisa Lisa uses a scarf. Pillar Men are the creators, masters, and eaters of vampires with even crazier levels of bodily control. They created the Stone Mask and can attain biological perfection with the Red Stone of Aja. Simply punching a Pillar Man is a bad idea, so Hamon users are more tactical in their usage.

> Part 3
Stands are introduced and they replace Hamon. Stands tend to manifest as humanoid spirits with simple superpowers.

> Part 4
Stands become more diverse in artstyle. Their powers become more creative to the point that they are more about facilitating a story than they are about simply being character abilities. What's more, Stands become symbolic of a character's personality and aren't always fighting based. Stands can evolve in Acts. The Stand Arrow is introduced.

> Part 5
Stands become tools to some degree. They have more sensory abilities than before. The Stand Arrow turns out to be capable of supercharging Stands, turning them into Requiem Stands.

> Part 6
Stands possibly at their highest power and complexity. One Stand can be altered but in a way different from Acts. Stands can now change stats (Star Platinum).
>>
>>48362469
> Part 7
The Spin is introduced and it can interact and be integrated with Stands. Stands don't necessarily perform their powers in spite of manifesting. Stands are no longer the product of the Stand Arrow but rather from passing through the Devil's Palm and from gaining a body part from the corpse of Jesus.

> Part 8
Haven't read, don't know.

Everything I said is off the top of my head but why am I bringing this up? Because I think putting new spins on JoJo power sources in every Part you run is vital to the JoJo experience.

In the game I run (Moon God Fountain), Hamon and Stands have certain funky interactions. Stand mechanisms grow stronger and their effects can become deeper as characters use up Developmental Potential. Will my next campaign be the same? I'd prefer it not be.
>>
>>48362533
Yeah i like thinking of new ways for players to gain stands.
>>
Alright, so far it's:
[ ] Roundabout
[X] Cans and Brahms
[ ] We Have Heaven
[X] South Side of the Sky
[ ] Five Per Cent for Nothing
[ ] Long Distance Runaround
[ ] The Fish (Schindleria Praematurus)
[ ] Mood for a Day
[ ] Heart of the Sunrise

Even those crossed out can be objected to if you have a better idea.

>>48362533
I honestly really like your way of thinking. I feel like every campaign (if you're treating it like a Part) should have ways of innovating the main concept they rely on. I had a game where I introduced a one-time concept of multiple Stands depending on the psyche of the user. So, as they aged, they would get different Stands.

「HEART OF THE SUNRISE」(should I stop and let other people create stands?)

Appearance: A humanoid stand. Said stand is heavily covered in cloth and robes (If you have something better, feel free to change it).

User: i no good make guy

Ability:「HEART OF THE SUNRISE」can conjure a "ball of light." These balls of light can reverse an object's state. For example, if there is a rusty knife, the balls of light can reverse its current state and make it uncorroded. If a man lost his hand, the balls of light can reverse the state of that hand and reverse it to when the man had the hand.

These balls of light don't repair, they reverse. Take for example a tree. One ball of light will make it a younger. Many will turn it into a sapling. Much more and it turns into an acorn. So:

Tree --- Smaller tree --- Sapling --- Acorn

The user can only summon so many at a time. I'm thinking the limit should be ten before a recharge.

I feel like this is really complicated.

Set in the mid 1900s, the group is a ragtag squad of soldiers (of varying backgrounds) whose jobs are to escort and defend a man named Ray DIO, the holder of the "Crown of Thorns". This artifact gives the holder immeasurable power, but as long as they possess it, bad luck (and Stand Users) will come their way. As you travel through war-torn Europe, defeating wave after wave of mysterious enemies that are pulled to the Crown of Thorns, you begin to wonder which side is really the one worth defending: the old man who clings to the Crown as if its his life, or those who chase you.

>>48363373
I had originally planned this as a continuation to SBR, so this was the story from then:

The "Crown of Thorns" emerged from the hatred and hardship of the dead body of Diego Brando, a contestant in the SBR who once owned a Corpse Part. His headless body would be considered yet another casualty of the race, and would be buried in Europe at the behest of his elderly wife. There, only about a century later, his corpse would be dug up by Ray Boe, an old man who knew neither how to write or read. Touching the stump where his head used to be, the Crown chose him, wrapping itself around his forehead. Near his widow's peak is a birthmark-looking scar that came from the Crown that reads "DIO". Ray DIO, blessed with newfound knowledge and power, steps out into 1940s Europe.

The Crown grants Stands in a most unconventional way. Any people who are capable of having a Stand in a 100 m radius will feel a sharp prick in the middle of their forehead; this is a thorn. This thorn awakens the Stand inside them, but it hurts. It starts as a dull pain, but the further they get away from Ray, the more it aches. The closer they get, the more the pain is relieved. In this way, they must kill Ray (or stay with Ray for the rest of their lives) to get rid of the torment.

Here's a setting for you, friend:

Set in the 1980s in America, the story focuses on a group of college students quarantined within their own campus. The federal government, with the aid of a mysterious Speedwagon Foundation, has identified a virus on campus, one that (unknowingly to the students) gives Stands. Those who aren't compatible die in a day, those who aren't strong enough to control their stands slowly die to a fever, and then there are those who are left normal with new abilities. The air is sodden with the virus, so a dome has been placed on the grounds. There is no escape. Students are left to fend for themselves in a Stand wasteland, and as the rule of man dictates, there are those who lead and there are those who follow.

[Água De Beber] (Astrud Gilberto - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sT2BloTgw7k)

Appearance: Silver vines laced around the user's torso. They are covered in strangely emotive (although often melancholic) eyes and water lilies whose petals seem to spiral in on themselves infinitely.

Ability: A translucent sphere in the user's chest can absorb and release immense volumes of liquid at a moderate pace.

The stored liquid can absorb the impact of blows directed at the user and disperse it throughout its depths. Efficacy depends on the amount stored.

[Água De Beber]'s direct offensive abilities are relatively non-existent. It can, however, absorb blood from one's body at extremely close ranges, making even minor cuts become fatal quickly.

The nature of the stored liquid seems to affect the emotional state (and potentially physical capabilities) of the user, with clean water being preferred.

[I've not tried my hand at these before, hopefully this one isn't too on-the-nose.]

Here's another setting that I hope will make you change your mind and decide to invest in /sss/:

Set in the 1860s, the explorers of the world have been informed of the bounty of a lifetime: hidden in the center of the thickest jungles in South America is a trove of treasures in an ancient cave system, the most interesting of them all being a stone that beats like a heart. As the various parties camp out on the outskirts of the jungle, a heavy rain begins to fall. Each individual droplet feels like a rock. As the rain splashes on the leaves and wets the ground, the groups see birds drop to the ground. The rain is a plague. Those it deems unworthy die within seconds of the rain touching their pores, those it deems worthy receive Stands. The groups must fight against the environment, the animals with Stands, and each other as they get closer and closer to the treasure. What they don't know is that the ones who guard the stone that beats like a heart are savages with hearts like stones and a worship of rain. It is a fight for survival, a fight for resources, and a fight for the treasure. Who survives?

In this setting, Stands are improved by rain. The more rain in a user's system, the more powerful their Stand. If someone has no rain, they will be able to use their Stand, but sparingly. However, to the unworthy, the rain is a death sentence. There is hostility on both sides.
>>

Shit man, I was already invested into /sss/. I was the one that made South Side Skies and other things. I was making that statement as a joke.

This is good as fuck, but I hope it's not mainly animal stand users. That'd get boring quick.
>>
>>48364806
No, I was hoping to make it a battle vs. Other explorers, wild animals, and the tribesmen to keep it varied. Even better is that some of those things don't even need Stands to kill you. They're straight up dangerous in real life so imagine if they have punchghosts.

That appearance is genius and probably one of my favorite wearable Stands. That ability seems really underwhelming at first, but the more you think about it, the more devastating it becomes. I can just imagine a guy bum rushing someone, absorbing hits with the liquid while cutting them up. As long as they stay close, at that point, the battle would be very decisive. It also has applications outaide of battle. The thing about the purity of the water is a very nice and thoughtful addition.

10/10 one of the best stands I've seen in a while, impressive for a beginner

「The Ramblers」
Destructive Power- A
Speed - B
Range - C
Precision - D

Developmental Potential - B

The Ramblers is a stand that can only manifest in the presence of smoke. It gains size and power the more smoke it is introduced to. The Ramblers can condense smoke into a thin layer of flammable liquid on any surface that it's smoke can touch. It can provide a strike for flame by increasing the density of it's smoke and increasing air resistance, in a similar way to Weather Report. The Ramblers also allows for the general control of smoke.

Personally, I choose a song or album and base a power off of the feel of its name or lyrics. I hit writer's block way too often, I completely understand

>>48364733
Don't really like the infusion abilities, but I'm imagining an exclusive mix of magic carpets, dragons, and origami. [Magic Carpet Ride] is a flat, white Chinese Dragon that is able to fly at high speeds. Like paper, it can fold itself into any sort of combination, allowing itself to contort itself through most obstacles. It can also cut itself up into many smaller pieces to preserve itself.

>>48365046
I like the name a lot and it makes the Stand very unique. Is it just bound to the user? I like the idea of a guy manipulating smoke by himself.

Holy shit, guys, original fragile poster here, this is awesome. You guys have made my night. Let's see what else we can do here.

As for who the users are, I had sort of envisioned the "organization" being guys whose names were plays on the original members of Yes (say, Anders Jonson, Howie Steves, Ford Bluebill, Wake Rickman etc.). Can't say anything for the personality, just a sort of nebulous idea.

[THE FISH] could perhaps have an ability to depigment and sort of erase targets of its attacks, though each strike provides a barely noticeable effect. At first it just seems that the target is becoming transluscent, but each strike reduces both their presence in the world and their ability to affect it, weakening their own attacks commensurate with the amount that's been "erased". If the target is nearly invisible, the target will even begin having trouble holding things as they start to simply pass through him. Within 15 strikes, the target is erased from existence. Dissipating the stand will reverse the erasure of anyone who has been affected by it that still exists.

Appearance-wise, it would be mostly humanoid, supporting itself on an eel-like tail instead of legs (à la Heirophant Green), with nearly transparent skin and a visible, transluscent skeleton and organs.

User would be Chris Schindler (play on Squire, RIP, affectionately called "Fish")

Close range, not a lot of power, decently quick but not ora-ora levels. It's a little rubbery and stretchy, so it has some reach and can absorb blunt hits fairly well.

Das all I got for that, I'll see if I can come up with another tomorrow morning if we're still live. And thanks again, anons!

Not gonna lie, that idea for [The Fish] is amazing. Gives time for people to figure it out, but still poses a threat. Cool design, cool ability.

I'm perfectly fine having that be [The Fish] considering no one else can really deal with it.
>>
>>48365305
I know its randomly generated, I just like to expand on the details of the Stand and make connections between name and ability like an autist.
>>
>>48365310
Hell, I only came up with that because I'm a fuckhuge Yes nerd and researched what the fuck the song was inspired by, a fish called Schindleria Praematurus, which is pretty much transparent. I took that general concept and expanded/weaponized it.

As a side note, anyone seeing Yes in concert this tour season?

How about this for a fan part:
Josie Joestar (age 13) is kidnapped by the drug cartel in Florida. Her adoptive Brother ELO Speedwagon (Age 18) brings his street gang (the Neon Knights) to raid the cartels local nightclub where Josie is being held and save his little sister. At the night club a cocaine equivalent called stardust is being distributed, which is in fact powdered meteor fragments. When they arrive an influential lieutenant has already taken Josie from the cartel. The Neon Knights are exposed to the meteor dust when a bad batch explodes during the raid, giving them stands before a Trans-American car chase begins to save Josie.

The Neon Knights must outrun their pursuers: members of the cartel, assassins from the lieutenants group and any trouble they find along the way.

[WINDS OF CHANGE]

Appearance: [WINDS OF CHANGE] manifests as a teal and orange butterfly about the size of a crow. A gas mask covers the head, with two holes for antennae out the top. The wings are made out of stained glass and depict matching pictures of a man crying in front of a bright sun.

Power - E
Speed - B
Range - A
Durability - C
Precision - B
Potential - B

Abilities: [WINDS OF CHANGE] has the ability to manifest objects and creatures the user sees in clouds into real life. These projections gain all of the properties that they would have in the real world like flesh and bone.

This ability relies solely on the imagination of the user and the need of clouds. These clouds can range from ones floating in the sky, to clouds of smoke, to steam from a boiling point of water. If the user cannot see anything in the cloud, the stand cannot activate. However should the user see a fraction of a picture, such as a yawning cat, the stand will fill in the blanks upon manifestation, resulting in unexpected results. Once a cloud has been used as part of a projection it cannot be used again until that projection is dispersed.

「LONG DISTANCE RUNAROUND」

Appearance: 「LONG DISTANCE RUNAROUND」is a suit that sort of resembles「WHITE ALBUM」. This suit, however, is living and can move around on its own.

Ability: On its own,「LONG DISTANCE RUNAROUND」is your typical stand that mainly emphasizes power and speed.

When「LONG DISTANCE RUNAROUND」is worn by the user, it increases both the user's and the stand's strength, speed, and even reaction speed. To the user, it appears everything has slowed down.

There is a drawback. 「LONG DISTANCE RUNAROUND」cannot be worn for longer than five minutes lest the user will suffer symptoms of exhaustion and may very well die if not careful. There is a recharge rate of five minutes.

「ROUNDABOUT」
Destructive Power: D
Speed: S(ability)/C
Range: C
Precision: B
Durability: C
Developmental Potential: D

Appearance: 「ROUNDABOUT」has two main parts to its manifestation, but both have similar things. The main Body of roundabout manifests as a roughly humanoid upper torso, with a rough, misshapen map of the current area's roadworks splattered and shuffled across its body, while it's head is made up of several engine parts which turn a small metal ring with black and white vertical stripes. While the body has four arms, it has no hands.

This ties into the second part of its ability - when manifested, a concrete looking glove appears on the hand of the wielder, with each finger marked "1, straight, 2nd and 3rd". As the ability is used, these gloves will float above the heads of those effected, but one must remain on the user.

Ability: When 「ROUNDABOUT」manifests, touching something or someone causes a glove to float around their head, which refer to 「EXITS」, labelled "1st, Straight, 2nd and 3rd". The user of the stand always has the first 「Exit」. When a force would act upon the user, they can attempt to move it along the roundabout - so, if the user were to be hit by a bullet, he could transfer the shot to try and hit "Straight", who can try to deflect it to "2nd", who can then try and deflect it to "third", who will get hit. Unless...

Drawbacks: 「ROUNDABOUT」has four main flaws. Firstly, a strong enough stand can pry the gloves and reassign the exit points - with clever placing, this could cause the user to kill himself.
Second of all, the user must see the other 「EXITS」to act upon them, otherwise they get unassigned.
Thirdly, a fast enough stand can attempt to pass it back to the first Exit - and, unless the user is fast enough, they may end up dead.
Finally, the user ALWAYS is the first exit, but can unassign themselves to break the chain provided nothing is currently in the 「ROUNDABOUT」.

Thoughts?
>>
>>48368387
Okay, so from what I understand Roundabout can assign certain objects and people an "exit" and if all "exits" are used up then it make a "roundabout"

Using these exits, the user can deflect damage to the other exits. Am I getting this? This is a little convoluted but I like where this is going
>>
>>48368506
Basically - the only difference is that the damage always goes in a chain (first, straight, 2nd, 3rd, first) with it being harder to pass it on each time, like a game of hot potato.
>>
I leave for the night, and wake up to see a bunch of amazing contributions

>>48366065
I like this a lot, especially the new way of getting Stands and how well that ties into the setting. I love Vice City and I love JoJo, so this is great for me. Imagining street races with SBR stands and fighting in packed nightclubs right now, probably going to use this in my next campaign.

>>48366458
One of the few "creation" Stands that I love. Usually they're boring like "He draws and it comes to life lol" but this is really creative and has a lot of limitation, as well as uses. Cool design as well.

>>48368159
I feel like this one could use some tweaking. It feels kinda plain to me and I feel like we could definitely give it more of a twist. I like the idea of a wearable stand for this specific song, however.

>>48368387
Never thought about a hot potato Stand, but I'd imagine this is what a good one looks like. It's not a punchghost, it still has risk, it's powerful, it really is a good stand. Perfectly fine with this representing Roundabout for us.
>>
>>48363087
Seems a bit like Alessi's Stand, but it definitely feels more controlled. You could probably still add a twist to it, but overall it's simple and sweet. I would change the design to glowing yellow imp creatures instead of balls of light to make it more unique, with little humanoids clinging on to the object, reversing the time.
>>
>>48369729
>>48369690

You guys are free to do anything you want with it. I'll be fine with whatever if it makes it better
>>
[5% For Nothing] is a wearable Stand that negates or amplifies damage depending on the inactivity of the user.

Appearing as a suit that takes aspects from both an abacus and a sundial, it is made of marble. The top of the helmet has a single spoke, there are Roman numerals and tally marks etched around the sides of the suit, there are colored bands of steel circling the midriff, and ball-like wheels at the bottom of the feet. There is a simple visor for the eyes that allows the user to see everything mathematically.

[5% For Nothing] by itself is very useful. As it's made of marble, physical attacks will have trouble piercing it, but it is still lightweight enough to support fast speeds easily. The visor is one of the suit's greatest strengths, allowing the user to see the statistics of the world around it. Acting almost as an advanced computer, it can calculate the force needed to surpass an obstacle, the dimensions of an object, the speed of incoming projectiles, and can even formulate damage and health into mathematical units. Like Diego's Scary Monsters, it allows the user to fight against other Stands.

[5% For Nothing]'s real ability is doing nothing. By doing nothing, as in staying absolutely still like a statue, the user will only feel 5% of incoming damage and deal 5% more damage to others. This means that ~just~ staying still and absorbing blows isn't effective, as you still take damage and eventually will die. Instead, you must use momentum to your advantage to be able to attack. Because the suit is made of marble, it's quite heavy and will still travel a bit even after stopping. By stopping during moments of high kinetic energy, like midway through a tackle, the damage will still transfer and will be absolutely devastating for the opponent. A wise user will be an unstoppable juggernaut, tearing through enemies while taking no damage in return.
>>
>>48370311
That stand kind of breaks the established rules. It's is a suit with physical properties, but the material its made of is entirely unrelated to the stand's power. Stands are intangible to physical objects that try to interact with them, except for ones bonded to already existing objects. White Album, which I believe is the only suit-like stand with physical properties, is basically just made from frozen air, and the suit is not a manifestation of the stands, but rather the effect of its abilities.
>>
>>48370447
Oh shit you're right.

What if it was bound to a specific marble suit and unable to damage other Stands?
>>
>>48370485
What I think would be better would be just keeping it simply with the ability and giving it a normal standing-by stand, and then in implementation, giving the user something like the marble suit that lets them take advantage of the ability instead of making it explicitly part of it.
Let it be used creatively instead of restricting it to just one thing, if you know what I mean.
>>
>>48370485
Not the anon you were talking to, but I feel like we should leave the wearable Stand for [Long Distance Runaround] and maybe just relegate this to a puncghost with the same ability so there's no problems
>>
>>48370535
>>48370548
Alright, I've mixed up both of your ideas into a change - [5% For Nothing] is a humanoid punchghost with the same abilities as before, except now it's a foot shorter and its fingers are the visor.

Unlike the rest of the Stand, which resembles (but isn't actual) marble, the fingers seem to be made out of glass. By putting its fingers over its eyes like in peekaboo, the Stand is able to see everything mathematically. This means that punching is not an option. In order to maximize potential, the Stand must "cover" its eyes and use the rest of its body efficiently.

In this vein, the Stand is also semi-wearable. Since it's small, it can latch onto its user like a backpack and cover their eyes with its fingers, allowing them to see through the visor. The only way to attack with the Stand in this formation is to slam into the enemy with your "backpack". The Stand can also be attached to anyone that the user wills, helping them out. However, there is a criteria. The Stand is very heavy and so to wear it, the person must have the proper physical strength.

Lodsamoney can also imbue valuable objects (>=$100) with its power to increase its durability and rigidity. Its main use of this power is to whip $100 bills at people rapidly while shouting "Moolah Moolah Moolah!"
If Lodsamoney is running low on dosh, it can place its hands on an object and "liquidate" it, transforming it into an amount of 100$ bills equal to its current market value. (Rounded down)

the implication that the stand has mass and weight is a little iffy, but the idea behind it (the fact that the stand imparts a strenuous amount of force on you when it's used) is solid and would be fine with a little different wording, and other than that I like it. With the weight you could also just attach the stand to weaker characters without activating the visor to just crush them to death

So my group is working on stands and I wanted to pitch an idea to /sss/ to see how to improve it.

「BAD MOTHERFUCKER」/ 「RABID RED」/「THE STAMPEDE」

It's your standard punchghost type but the gimmick is that it can connect and create doors between two points or just connect two points. For example it could create a door on a wall that leads into the building... or across the county. Or you could jump down a sewer crate and land through a vent in a building. Or create an elevator to the top of a skyscraper. This is limited by some doorways being slower than others. I.e the elevator would take the amount of time for a real elevator but the cross county door would just be a long hallway that takes about 5 minutes. Something similar to D4C but more about the physical locations.

>Why use the elevator then?
Fits more people and actually creates some temporary physical space which the character uses in his fighting style. He'd throw people into the elevator and send it on to get rid of them for a moment.

What do you guys think? Anything that could be improved?
>>

I'll take a crack at one

[Mood For A Day]

Mood For A Day takes the form of a skeletal mariachi in a charro outfit, carrying a floral patterned guitar. It's movements are flagrant and dramatic, often over embellished.

Power: D
Speed: B
Range: D
Durability: C
Precision: B
Potential: B

Mood For A Day can, for a span of 24 hours, control the thoughts and actions of human beings via the power of its music, which it expresses through its user. The one caveat is, for this control to work, the victem must PAY the user in some way - this can be an exchange of anything perceived valuable, from money to personal heirlooms to just about anything. What matters is the victem willing gives the payment to the stand user. After 24 hours the affect wears off with the victem having only hazy, drunken recollection of the events, and they are furthermore immune to future control. There is no limit on the number of individuals the stand can control at one time, though they must have personally paid the stand user within that day for the effect to work.

Outside of this special ability the stand is relatively weak, though exceptionally agile and quick.
>>
>>48371385
Those under the affects of mood for a day act in a hysterical and exaggerated manner, expressing extremes of emotion according to the whims of the user. They can and will act in ways that are harmful to themselves, and seem impervious to pain or injury like an addict on a bad trip.

Though the payment varies, universally it must be made to the user, in exchange for something. Charity does not count. Busking however, does.

I feel like this Stand is a bit too generic, even for its name. Don't get me wrong, it definitely warrants explosions, but I feel like you could definitely expand it beyond the mines. Maybe make it so that the only thing that explodes is the Stand itself (though it doesn't get hurt) and it uses frayed ropes (like you see on dynamite) to bring people in to explode with it.

>>
>>48371644
>why exactly only unmanned?
By "unmanned" I mean any vehicle that is not being actively controlled. The ability is less of an attractive force and more of a manipulation of the vehicles themselves to make them crash, so anyone manning a vehicle in range could theoretically assume control over it to avoid crashing, although this would get harder to do the closer it was.
Also I think it's a nice nod to the idiots in the source game who always just rush at the ball without thinking

This stand's ability is both terrifying and simple the gun shoots and anything in it way is destroyed. Another stand, a indestructible shield pure energy? Its going to erased. Other than its pure Destructive power it works like a normal gun and needs to be reloaded after four shots

Bit of a random one, designed to more be an NPC stand than a player one, but:

「IT'S HIP TO FUCK BEES」
Namesake: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8CvqmD0CZao
Destructive Power: -
Durability: A
Range: E(one building, user independent)
Precision: A
Speed: -
Potential: E

>Appearance
「IT'S HIP TO FUCK BEES」is a physical stand appears as a simple ornament - an onyx and gold bee sign. It can manifest in one of three sizes, depending on what the user wills - either a neon business sign, a small ornament designed to fit on a desk or counter, or as an Open/Closed sign for a business. Only one of each form can be manifested at a time, and each

>Ability
As long as a person sees the stand, 「IT'S HIP TO FUCK BEES」takes effect. Any woman who enters the establishment will have her 「Sting」, aka her worst trait intensified, but only when a romantic or sexual interest is shown in her. - for example, on a date, an expensive woman will end up ordering even more expensive items than usual, without consciously realizing it. A prostitute with an STD will pass it on more intensely than usual, a shy girl who tries to hit on a guy will become a sputtering mess.
The primary way to stop the stand is to prevent the stand from being visible, or a stand user can block the effect like an attack.

>User
The user of the stand was originally a divorce lawyer who developed his stand from a desire of clients more than anything else. Were his self-developing stand related to something important, the user's willpower would certainly be impressive. The user, through what he witnessed in part because of his stand, came to believe that women were two faced and duplicitous - in part, this is why the stand has no effect on men.
Using the increased income, Isaac Takem went into business, owning a number of small shops, cafes and some less wholesome businesses, and now owns a small establishment or two wherever you require him to.
>>
>>48373013
>Only one of each form can be manifested at a time, and each
...can only apply to one establishment at a time.

「STYLO」(Stylo - Gorillaz)

Appearance:「STYLO」somewhat resembles 「WHITESNAKE」. The letter "S" is plastered on its shoulders, knees, elbows, and forehead.

Ability: If the user draws a certain object,「STYLO」is able to materialize it. For example, if the user draws a sword,「STYLO」can take that drawing and turn it into an actual sword, albeit it would still look drawn. There are two rules to this:

1. The object has to be something that exists, so the user can't just draw a laser gun or anything like that.

2. The more complex an object is, the shorter it would be able to keep it's form. If「STYLO」manifests a sword, that sword would last a few minutes before disintegrating. If「STYLO」manifests a gun, the gun would last about 30-40 seconds before disintegrating.

I'm going to throw my hat in the ring

[We've Heaven] is an Automatic punchghost that looks like two upper bodies (including heads) sewn together at the waist. The Stand has 4 arms and is always handstanding, but is surprisingly fast when marching. The two torsos belong to the two personalities of the Stand - the Moon Dog and the March Hare. Both colored green and silver, the Dog head has short ears while the Hare head has long, floppy rabbit ears. Their bodies seem to be intricately weaved out of some flexible fiber. One personality is always dominant, as their power lies in their hands. That means that if the Hare is the "legs", then the Dog is in control because its hands are free.

The ability of [We've Heaven] is to be a bad genie, operating on desire. Once a target has been chosen by the user, the Stand will listen to the target's thoughts, identify their deepest desire, and begin the chase. [We've Heaven] marches towards the target, exuding a very forceful aura that any Stand User can feel, the pressure increasing the closer the Stand gets.

The power lies in the hands of the personalities. The Moon Dog's hands will grant your wish, but not in moderation. If someone longs for love, the Dog will attempt to tear open their ribcage and shove as many hearts as it can. Usually the Dog is very brutal and literal, but there is the possibility that it will actually grant your wish, but is the risk worth It? The March Hare, on the other hand, takes. Its hands tear away chunks of flesh and bone, but it can also take away things like beauty or intelligence. At any time, the Stand can flip, changing the dominant personality. The Stand doesn't stop until the target is dead, the user is dead, or the Stand feels it's accomplished the target's desire.

Maybe the're all triplets that could be intersting. They share the same stand name even though they have different stands

I honestly like that concept, I've always wanted to try it in an actual campaign.

>hear stories about some Stand that sends nuns

I was thinking more like a sibling type thing when they got the stands they have because of incident happening like thier father getting stabbed with the arrow or just being born like that.

Okay, so the genie and angel swarm stands were tied. I used this coin flip site to break the tie and the genie stand wins the vote.

Unless you want to do the triplet thing, which is fine too.

「SUPERFAST JELLYFISH」(Superfast Jellyfish - Gorillaz)

Appearance:「SUPERFAST JELLYFISH」is a large (about one meter wide), neon-colored, jellyfish. The words "Superfast" are written all around the sides.

Ability:「SUPERFAST JELLYFISH」is essentially a parasite. Using its tentacles, it is able to suck the lifeforce out of any healthy being, human or otherwise, and give it to the user, healing him. A drawback to this power is that「SUPERFAST JELLYFISH」has virtually no fighting capabilities. Any and all fighting has to be done by the user.

The original Stands were named after Tarot Cards, then they were named after Egyptian Gods. It was not until the second to last Stand that one was named after a music reference. The music references continue to this day but in Part 6 there also were Stands named after Italian fashionware.
>>
>>48374090
Im fine with anything though personally i think the triplet think could be more fun to play around with. Hey with the exception of the wall eyes has there ever been a case of stands fusing to make one?
>>
>>48374619
Oh shit that's actually really clever, considering the stand name is「WE HAVE HEAVEN」. But I don't think anything other than the Wall Eyes has fused stands.
>>
>>48371729
I feel like that would be a really cool scenario, but that it might ruin the theme of the Stand. Maybe you could make a window in a wall or a manhole in the floor and punch someone from across the world.

>>48371844
I dig it and now I'm wondering if a villain could constantly change the Ball along the way to just have a bunch of vehicles following him without exploding. Like he drives and right before they crash, he changes the Ball so the crowd is always following him.

>>48372252
This might be a little too broken, but if it had a user like Whole Horse then it'd definitely be more balanced. I mean, accuracy is still a problem, but close range it's over.

>>48373013
The name always gets me, but I have to applaud you for actually making a mundane Stand, not many make those. I dig it, would definitely be a funny session.

>>48373149
Seems a bit generic, what with the whole "draws things and comes to life" but I feel like you can give it a twist.

How about the more style that you give to it (as in the cooler or more intricate you draw it) the more powerful and effective it'll be? That way, the Stand lives up to the name of being [Stylo] with colorful guns and swords with bizarre art on them.

>>48374665
I'm all for the triplets thing and I didn't notice how well the name lends to it.
>>
Alright, well it seems like all the Stands are in, so as host, let's start what we came here to do:

[ ] Roundabout
[ ] Cans and Brahms
[Triplet... ] We Have Heaven (Cherubs)
[Triplet... ] We Have Heaven (Nuns)
[Triplet... ] We've Heaven (Genie)
[ ] South Side of the Sky
[ ] Five Per Cent for Nothing
[ ] Long Distance Runaround
[ ] The Fish (Schindleria Praematurus)
[ ] Mood for a Day
[ ] Heart of the Sunrise

Basically, give characters to each Stand and then make a group that would logically have reason for all of these people to be affiliated with it.

Let's go /sss/
>>
>>48374665
Im thinking sheer force of will and posing is how they'll reach heaven together.

>>48374926
I didnt realize it till someone pointed it out.

>>48375034 how about Genesis for the family name for the triplets ? Its got that feel ya know
>>
>>48375034
Looking over the stands, I think [The Fish] is probably the best choice for the group's boss. Here's my attempt at a take on the guy:

>Name: Chris Schindler
>Stand: [THE FISH]
>Age: 35
>Nationality: Jewish-American
>Occupation: Business man
>Likes:
>Dislikes: Expensive luxury items, Gold diggers, Optimists

Usually seen wearing second hand or charity suits, Chris was primarily a victim of financial turmoil and toxic assets. Having lost all of his fortune on a financial turn that no one could see something, Schindler had an existential crisis, a small number of debts, and enough willpower to manifest the means of removing the sharks on his back. After a while, he began to use this power to reposition himself - prevent someone from making a bid here, kidnap a person there, so on and so forth. Eventually, he rebuilt a little business empire for himself.
However, stand users tend to gather in flocks - and, when he realized this, Chris Schindler took the initiative as they arrived. Using a combination of intimidation, bribery and employment opportunities, he built himself a small but fragile group of stand users to keep the town under his belt.

「PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME」
Appearance: Actually a huge part of the stand's main drawbacks, 「PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME」only appears occasionally as a small image around the user in windows, books or other places. However, the manifestation has nothing to with what it actually does - what matters is the proximity around the user, which is seen as only a slight yellow tinge to stand users.

Ability: As the name suggests, 「PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME」acts upon objects which have no relation to each other and creates a causation relationship. The conditions are threefold:
>The user must move his hands in a V motion of sort, adding or removing one thing from another. For example, adding change to his wallet, taking a crayon from a crayon draw, or
>The user must also look at something while not thinking about what they are doing with their hands. For example, looking at the time, or their pint while drawing darts from a dart board.
>Whichever the user does first effects the quantity of the second i.e. If the user empties his wallet then look at someone's blood, they bleed out instantly. However, if they look at the time before they begin to eat dinner, the quantity on the plate will be determined by the time (i.e. if it is half past, it will be half full - if it is 2:10, it will be 210% full.)

Drawback: The stand seems almost personally designed to not be noticed. It basically does not manifest for the user, and the mere act of thinking about it's ability is likely to cause one to think about either what they are holding or looking at, which will break the stand's spell. It is an inconvenience to its user, as the stand will never cause a relationship which would kill its user (i.e. hold an empty glass then look at his blood in a syringe), but has no such qualms about killing anything and everything else. Rumours are it has multiple acts, but how would it unlock them?
>>
>>48375992
I don't know. The Fish seems a bit overpowered to me. I mean, it erases people from existence in like fifteen hits. I like to think the user is some enigmatic guy who shows up and helps the crew from time to time.

I'm one of the developers of the JoJo d10 system. If anyone here is interested in playing in a rather involved campaign using the JoJo d10 system, contact me on skype at "pls.go.stay.go".
>>
Here's my input, only other thing I have is that [The Fish] belongs to chief of police, the big boss.

Roundabout is a traffic director who feels like he's the foundation of order in society and can do no wrong, even though he's a dick. He hates people for being unappreciative, so he frequently goes on rants about his job. He moonlights as a Michael Jackson impersonator. He was taking out his frustration on some homeless people when the chief caught him and began using him.

Cans and Brahms is a homeless man that was a victim of the Roundabout user's rage. With his power, he was able to live quite well without money, but was offered a job by the chief. A mysterious and most stoic man, his only endgame is to get revenge against the Roundabout user. In this sense, he is rather immoral and selfish, not caring about whatever he does to others as long as he gets his results. Rarely speaks.

The "Heaven Triplets" are 2 sisters and 1 brother, whose Stands share the same name. Their father was a priest (which should tell you a lot about his morals) who imposed his religion onto them. When they were all children, their father's Stand woke, and so, theirs as well. The reason they work for the chief is because he rescued them from their father, so the three feel they owe him.

The oldest sister controls the cherubs, who represent the good childhood she never had. She is constantly using the Stand on herself to get rid of her worries, completely catatonic most of the time. In a sense, she's just like a drug addict.

The brother controls the nuns and is a local priest. He is the most benevolent of the three, genuinely wanting to help people, but the chief is a very persuasive person.

The youngest sister controls the genie. Still childish and idealistic, she has no idea what her Stand does because it's automatic. She believes with all of her heart that her power helps people. She frequently inject abbreviations into her cutesy speech hence why her Stand is called [We've Heaven]

Hey if your a developer i have a few questions about how damage works in the system. And how many actions we get per turn.
>>
>>48377602
Those are both things we are focusing on. As for actions, a simple Standard (for attacks and doing very important things), Move (moving around), and Free (posing / talking) is a basic idea we have for now.
>>
>>48377286
I like that idea a lot. Here's my input as well:

South Side Skies belongs to this thug/gang member guy whose trying to be faithful to his gang but is beginning to question his morals and his gang when they start to ask him to do questionable and immoral things.

Mood for a Day is a busker scam artist who uses his stand to get more money. He's personality is kind of like Joeseph's except a little bit more of a smug asshole.

5% for Nothing is a teacher who is struggling financially. He's also an author but nothing he makes seems to sell. He's not really much of a fighter and is kind of an introvert.

I honestly like this a lot. Makes me think the setting is in a poor part of a city.

Here's our take on Stylo from the (hopefully coming soon) fan part detailed >>48366065

「STYLO」
Namesake: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kj7PGkYX1xk
Destructive Power: E
Durability: A
Range: -
Precision: C
Speed: A
Potential: C

>Appearance
「STYLO」is a bright red 1969 Chevrolet Camaro with bright blue palm trees are painted onto the sides. A small silver hood ornament of a gorilla suspended inside a ring rests on the front.

>Ability
「STYLO」 has the ability to absorb the kinetic energy of things that come in contact with it and store it inside of the hood ornament. This makes 「STYLO」 virtually indestructible through normal means as it will simply absorb any attempt to damage it. The hood ornament will spin in direct proportion to the amount of energy absorbed.

A large pull cord extends from the console of the car. When the driver of 「STYLO」 pulls this chord the stand truly manifests as the upper torso of a massive gorilla made of blue lightning. This gorilla launches the car forward, releasing all of the stored kinetic energy at once to create something akin to warp speed. While travelling at this increased velocity the gorilla will punch anything that would come into contact with the car, briefly erasing it from existence just long enough to allow the vehicle to pass through unharmed. This warp travel cannot be cancelled until all of the stored kinetic energy has been used up. Additionally this ability can only travel in a straight line.
>>
>>48383555
Would the Hand just straight up erase it or would the gorilla and what evers in the way clash?
>>
>>48383828
The gorilla does it Hand style but because the car is moving so fast it pops back into existence before the two edges can snap back together.
>>
>>48383856

>>
>>48383982

>>
>>48384007
Now that seems like it'd be fun road trip material.

What about this

《Somethings Gotta Give》

This stand appears as a slender feminine figure with a criscross pattern running along its body its face is reminiscent of a foot ball players face mask. It has a visor over its eyes which can be transfered to the user while the user does this they cannot see through the eyes of thier stand.

Destructive power: A
Speed: E
Durability:E
Precision: A
Developmental potential: C
Range: E

Abilitiy: the user's stand can scan a given area giving perfect instructions on how to destroy, dismantle or incapacitate an object or person when the users dons its stands visor its information gathering anilities tell it almost everything basically super sherlock on crack but the stand its self is weakend immensely even more so than it already is this stand is strong enough to pick up a tank but may not be fast enough to stop a bullet.

Aspect: A tv that appear on the chest of the user

Abilities: Everyone that's acting is trapped into the tv, and can go out only when the tv is on, by jumping through the glass. The show they're in is made entirely by the user, and you can die in the screen.
The difficulty is that the user needs the tv to be on to act on the show, and the person in the tv don't age (because time in tv shows). Also if the person is kept too long, he may goes out naturally, so it's forced for the user to finish them as soon as possible.

Basically, here's a repost of something I found funny on /d/:

"Jojo part 69: Genital standing:

A new country is born on an artifical continent. Johan Sukeja and her sub boyfriend decide to flee from her home to go there. But the law of the country are simple: sex is litterally the money, but "points" can substitute to sex if necessary, it's not morally impure to have sex, and the person allowed to get in that country are only the sickness free and sterile persons. Also all people that gain the nationality gain a stand (forced legaly), with a weird stone that gives you stand that are corporeal.

In the anime, we follow the story of JoJo, (hypnosis stand named "Mind Break"), her boyfriend Tony Speedwagon (Tentacle stand "Ozric Tentacles"), helped by The Nurse (a sentient stand in a first aid kit that can give you back your body from 4 hours ago), all made sexless by the main antagonist Oz. Yosbourn (stand that stole genitals "No Redeeming Social Value") and trying to make their way along the country to find that guy and get their part back.

They are sometimes forced to do some free use called "social utility" in order to gain points to replace sex.

The stand they met (which are often just stands of people they met while social utility) goes from Oppai Maker to Limbs Loaner, and the users can have a lot of types of physics, from horse cock, to tentacles monster, and all must be pleased."

「Clusterfuck」- Gemini

Sensory Switch - 「Clusterfuck」is a..."binary Stand" that can switch two peoples' sensory input for one sense at a time. One person sees what goes into the other person's eyes, tastes whatever the other eats, etc. It does this through using its two bodies; removing the appropriate organ and attaching it to the victim, similar to Talking Head. The user can attach a pair of eyes to an animal and use it for reconnaissance, or switch their own sense of touch with their opponent to instinctive not attacking - they feel the pain they inflict.

On their own, the split Stand isn't particularly strong; about average for a human. They can still lay down some beatings, but they're nowhere near Star Platinum level. They do have some pretty high Range, though!

I'm glad you like it! One of the protagonists has a stand called 「Weird Al」. It's glorious. Right now we're working on plotting the course across America, starting in Florida and ending up in California, with a few stops in Canada along the way to lose the big bad's pursuit.

《Weird Al》

《Weird Al》 takes the form of a very tall humanoid in a suit that seems to be made of liquid, though it is impossible to tell what exactly the fluid is. The face is obscured by drooping black grass. It's feet are pointed into the shape of elf shoes.

Abilitiy: 《Weird Al》 has the ability 《Another One Rides the Bus》 which allows him to replicate any stand that the user has seen by melding it out of its aqueous form. These replicas are always weaker than the original and don't work exactly the same way.

For example, if the stand copied a punchghost that blinds the target upon contact, the replica would grant drunk vision instead.

It is surprisingly hard to come up with some sort of drawback to give immortality aside from the "you will outlive everyone you love" aspect.
>>
>>48394931
I think the biggest problem with immortality would be the mental strain. I'd imagine that after centuries, you'd be at least a little bit insane.

I had a Stand named [Only the Good Die Young] that granted the user (potential) immortality based on doing and inspiring evil deeds. Essentially playing devil's advocate, the souls of people he corrupted would be added to his lifespan.
Eventually, the amount of souls he had acquired created a face completely unknown to himself, so he completely forgot who he was.

Through the toll of immortality, a stone cold killer became an old man quietly wandering the world.

Do you tend to make more "bad guy's" or good guys when you make stand users. And what type of stands do you give them?

I learned that i tend to give horrifying and lethal stands to my good guys making them have to use it carefully and creatively and for bad guys or antagonists i use something that you thinl would be harmless but ij reality is broken.
>>
>>48374602
I dig it. I originally thought this was just a generic lifesteal Stand, but the ability works really well with the design and name. The only thing I would change is maybe to make it so that [Superfast Jellyfish] can move through neon objects as well, and it glows extremely bright when full.

>>48392221
This is very good. It's really useful and I can think of a million ways to apply it. Will be stealing this.

>>48393169
Didn't think I'd see a good Weird Al Stand. It really fits the artist and it's a lot more unique than the "I just copy his ability lol" Stands. Stealing as a gag enemy or possible serious enemy.
>>
>>48395774
I mostly just make Stands that I think are interesting and see how different characters would use them. Sometimes there are Stands like [Only the Good Die Young] that are pretty much biased though.

I really like that kind of thinking when it comes to Stand assignment (and frequently use it), it makes for really interesting situations on both sides. It can be really really fun to give a character with good morals an obviously evil-leaning Stand though or vice versa.

I mean imagine a guy who wants to help others being given [Only the Good Die Young]. He'd have to be extremely careful or not use the Stand at all. Although that totally ties into what you were talking about with "good guys with lethal Stands".

「PINK PLASTIC BAGS」(Little Pink Plastic Bags - Gorillaz)

Appearance:「PINK PLASTIC BAGS」is humanoid and appears to be made of incredibly thin pink plastic, sort of like shopping bags. Tire tracks run all around its body.「PINK PLASTIC BAGS」is attached to the user's body, with its hand on the user shoulders and its feet on the user 's waist, though it can float around freely if necessary.

Ability:「PINK PLASTIC BAGS」has the ability to imbue objects with "lightness." Essentially, when「PINK PLASTIC BAGS」touches you or any object, it gets reduced to around 2% of its original weight.

「PINK PLASTIC BAGS」can also imbue the user with lightness. With this, the user can "fly" using「PINK PLASTIC BAGS」as a sort of kite.

Punchghost type stand. Orange colored, with a hard hat, and various tool belts covered in pockets wrapped around its body.
(Real names pending on the abilities)
「Hardware Store」's first ability, 「Would you look at all that stuff」, allows it to shove any object that it can carry into one of the various pockets on its person. The pockets each lead to a separate pocket dimension, but each pocket can only store one object. (About 30 pockets in total) Why does 「Hardware Store」need so many pockets? Because of its second ability, 「Mix & Match」, which allows it to combine two of the objects in its inventory. (This process can be undone) The objects are combined from the names of the objects. For example, a shot put and a squirt gun could be combined into a shotgun

「Stayin' Alive」

Power: None
Speed: A
Range: A to Infinite
Durability: E/A
Precision: A
Potential: B

Appearance:「Stayin' Alive」appears as an egg-shaped object the size of a human head with a mask bearing a human face on one side. Its eyes are larger than standard proportions, and are always closed until 「Raining Men」 is activated. In place of the mouth is a third eye, also closed. If the mask is removed, a three-eyed human skull is revealed to be underneath.

Ability:「Stayin' Alive」has no effect until the user is killed or the stand itself is destroyed, causing the death of the user. Upon death, an exact copy of the user is spawned nearby with a perfect copy of the user's memories. Any damage or physically/mentally debilitating effects are erased upon respawning. The point where the user is spawned must not be within direct line of sight of any sapient being at the moment it occurs.
>>
>>48401874

「Raining Men」

Appearance: the same as 「Stayin' Alive」, but all eyes are opened, emitting a blindingly bright light and causing all stand users within range to hear a loud ringing sound like that of tinnitus.

Ability: 「Raining Men」 is the true ability of 「Stayin' Alive」, which can only be activated under certain conditions. Whenever the stand spawns a new copy of its user, a new copy of the stand is spawned as well. 「Raining Men」 can only be activated once a sufficient number of stand copies exist. Because of the low durability of the stand, existing copies must use their high speed to evade potential enemies until the user dies or kills themselves enough times to reach the critical threshold.

Once 「Raining Men」 activates, the stand gains the ability to rapidly spawn an unlimited number of copies of the user from any point within its range that is not within line of sight of any sapient being. An infinite tide of expendable bodies, created from nothing in order to overwhelm an opponent. Furthermore, every copy created by this ability still has their own copy of 「Stayin' Alive」, thus enabling the range of this ability to expand infinitely as it remains active. This also renders it nearly impossible to stop once started, as doing so requires an opponent to destroy stand copies until not enough of them remain within an area to sustain the effect.

So, is this too OP, or all right?

>「Get on the Floor 」
The stand stomps its foot on the ground, forcing anyone on the same surface the foot was slammed on (within range) to the ground. (Like Echoes Act 3)

Before I can continue you, no, this is not overpowered. You provided enough drawbacks to [Raining Men] that it is balanced.

This is perfect for an SBR-powerlevel game and I can already imagine an extremely tough fight ahead for my players when I steal this. A skilled man respawning over and over again, even though he doesn't have a -combat- Stand power, is devastating to anyone. And if the players ignore the eggs, it will be their end. [Glass Houses] is a Stand bound to a simple stone ring. In the center of the ring is a small, circular mirror that allows the user to see their surroundings without actually looking at it.

[Glass Houses] can give a person or object the breakability of glass with a simple touch, at the user's discretion. People affected will find arms completely breaking from punches, and legs shattering from hard jumps. At closer inspection, entities affected by this Stand will have taken on a complex, crystalline structure. However, this Stand is not without its caveats. Making eye contact with a person affected by [Glass Houses] will slowly begin turning you, as well. Starting from the left side and ending on the right, only an entire minute of eye contact is needed to fully engulf you. Because of this problem, the ring this Stand is bound to has a mirror as to evade eye contact with victims.

In this case immortality isn't the power of just one stand user... But rather the after effects of living by a stand that radiates "life" to everything around it. It's a pool/spring of fresh water with a river that flows backwards.
>>
What do you think of people going full out Dio Vs Jotaro with the stands they possess? Should both be pissed off or should the people fighting be at the climax of thier story? I mean the whole flying through the air punching and kicking around the city demolishing it in an epic battle some times using thier abilities but mostly punch ghost action
>>
[Maybe Right] (based off of Billy Joel's "You May Be Right")

[Maybe Right] is a Bound wearable Stand that operates solely on the concept of "risk".

Bound to a crude metal helmet like those seen attached to electric chairs, it allows the user to absorb and manipulate the electrons of incoming entities (like punches or bullets).

Absorbing electrons has three main uses - "padding", electric field, and improvement.

"Padding" is the effect of preventing attacks from further damaging the body. By absorbing electrons, the body begins to generate a natural magnetic field. As entities approach, their electrons are reduced, making them positive and attracting them to the surface of the skin. The more electrons you have gathered, the less these entities travel. Eventually, bullets will stop altogether at your skin and punches will simply stick instead of damage.

After gathering electrons, an electric field can be manifested and circulated around your body. At first, it will be simple sparks, but later on it will reach high voltage, allowing for the perfect offense and defense in the form of an electric suit.

Improvement is the final use. Electrons are extremely useful, running many major processes in the human body. By gathering more electrons, the user is able to be faster, stronger, and can even revive himself by pumping his heart using stockpiled electrons.

Now, to the risk portion. This ability basically runs on the user becoming a punching bag. Without the proper amount of entities aimed at the user, the Stand never reaches full power. That's why the proper use is the risky use. By jumping into the fray and taking gunshots from every direction, the user gains an immense amount of electrons at once, instead of painstakingly getting it one shot at a time. The user must always be exposed to danger to fully keep themself alive. By being a lunatic, the user will always be victorious.
>>
>>48409551
In that case, it's a lot harder to find a drawback for it, especially because of the "radiating life" detail.

I think the best way of giving it a disadvantage is changing the nature of immortality itself. It may radiate life, but maybe they only remain youthful in a certain area around the water and if they step out they revert to the age they would've been? Or maybe they can only keep 100 years of their memories, which means that they'll eventually forget who they were before they came to the water?

>>48409888
I like intense, epic moments like those, but yes, I do feel like they should be reserved for major character conflicts or major plot points (or both in the case of Jotaro vs. DIO). That way, these types of battles have significance and are way more dramatic and cool.

「CRERSCENDOLLS」's golems can be made from almost anything. The only exception is gases like air and steam. So, a golem can be made from flesh, paper, and even water, though they have the weaknesses of whatever material they are made of (paper golem can burn easily, water golem can be vaporized, etc.).

If the user targets an enemy, the golems automatically attack said target. They can still be controlled in this state.

Serious questions time.
If he went through the same method as DIO in Eyes of Heaven, could Jotaro have gotten Star Platinum: The World Over Heaven, or would he have gotten a different Heaven stand, like Poochy's Made In Heaven?
Also, what would Heaven Ascension Jotaro and Star Platinum: The World Over Heaven look like?

Well considering star platinum is the same type of stand i think it would just be star platinum the world over heaven or some equivalent but if dio or an alternate lives or if that jotaro comes into contact with that version that DIO would also manifest the ability.

Speaking of the over heaven ritual would you let the main villian of your campaign/story have a plan like that? >this is genuinely one of the best Stands I've seen in /sss/

Seriously? You flatter me, man. Thanks!

So...here's one I first got the idea for a while back while trying to make something on the same level of convoluted weirdness as King Crimson, so, yeah, it's a little hard to follow by design, and potentially OP since it's basically meant to be a BBEG stand.

「Moving in Stereo」 (Moving in Stereo/All Mixed Up by The Cars)

Power: B
Speed: B
Range: E to C
Durability: C
Precision: A
Potential: A

Appearance: a gaunt humanoid figure resembling an anatomical model, bisected from top to bottom. The left side is made of red metal sculpted to resemble the muscle fibers on a skinned and extremely emaciated corpse. The right side is bulkier, wearing blue armor designed to resemble a skeleton. The head of the figure has multiple pairs of speakers located where its eyes would be and around the top of its head. The two halves are separated from each other and can move and attack independently of each other, as if they were two separate stands.

Ability: when activated, 「Moving in Stereo」 allows the user to alter the initial position and orientation of anything within range during a period of time stretching from any point in the past several seconds to the present. The user does not need to manually move objects; any modifications occur as they will it. However, objects still need to physically move to their new positions, and the user must be aware of an object's location in order to alter its position. In order to be affected by this stand, an object must have been entirely within its range for the duration of the time period being edited. This range varies depending on the length of time, and editing a shorter period of time, e.g. 1 second, has a greater range than the maximum time of 3 seconds. The user can choose the exact duration of the time period affected by this ability, but this duration cannot be altered once the ability is activated.
>>
>>48417038
Time effectively stops as long as the user wants while they reposition objects within range. However, this is not actually a time stop effect so other time stopping powers will not enable movement during it. To explain it with an analogy, stopping time is like pressing the pause button on a computer animated movie, whereas 「Moving in Stereo」 is like editing the positions of the 3d figures in the movie during production.

Once edits are made, the events of the edited time period will play out as if the objects had been in their edited positions at the beginning of that period. However, the "input" for what actions the affected objects or individuals took during the edited period, the commands given by their minds to their bodies, will remain the same as in the un-edited timeline. For example, if an enemy was running toward the user on a rooftop, the user could activate the stand, move the enemy to a position off the side of the roof in midair, and in the edited timeline, the enemy would plummet to the ground, breaking their legs, but still moving them in a futile running motion until the edited time period ended.
>>
>>48417051
An enemy attacking with a flurry of punches could be repositioned to have been punching the ground for the past few seconds, unable to alter their aim or defend against potential attacks, because they had not done so in the unedited timeline. To use another analogy, it is like experiencing a sudden lagspike in an online game, only to have your actions that you took while lagging be sent to the game a few seconds later without having been able to see what had actually been happening over the past few seconds.

Additionally, no one except the user is aware of the changes to the timeline caused by 「Moving in Stereo」's ability, as their memories remain the same as they were in the unedited timeline. The only thing that remains visible is the result of the edited timeline. Even the user's own memories will not show the changes they made. Instead, they will recall the events of the unaltered timeline like everyone else, though they still know what happened by virtue of being the one that caused it. However, if an unexpected interaction occurs during the edited time period, they will not know precisely what happened to cause the result that is visible after 「Moving in Stereo」's ability resolves, only being able to deduce it from their observation of the result and how it could have been caused by the changes they made.
>>
>>48417054
「All Mixed Up」

Appearance: The final form of 「Moving in Stereo」, 「All Mixed Up」 is an armored figure similar to 「Moving in Stereo」, appearing as a skeleton wearing close-fitting armor designed to resemble muscle fibers. The figure is divided into slices by a haphazard series of horizontal cuts. Each slice alternates colors between a blue skeleton in red armor, or a red skeleton in blue armor. Its head resembles a large speaker shattered by a series of cracks radiating outward from its face at the center, the upper part of which is covered by the top half of a red face mask, the bottom revealing the blue teeth and bones of a grinning skull.

Ability: 「All Mixed Up」 possesses the same abilities as 「Moving in Stereo」, with the additional ability to shift the "input" of any individual affected by it forward or backward in time up to 1 second. Furthermore, any individual moved through time will retain memory of the edited timeline instead of the unedited one, and thus become aware of the true nature of the stand's abilities if they were not already.

Don't forget Rohan vs RPS Kid.

In any case, use sparingly.

I'm sitting here thinking about what makes JoJo JoJo, trying to pin down how to make games feel like JoJo. So I'm making a list and I'd like your help, /sss/. Think if these as being like Apocalypse World/ Dungeon World Principles.

Here's what I have so far:
1) Make your visuals fabulous.
2) Play your characters melodramatically.
3) Be disgusting, gross everyone out.
4) Make every fight a story.
5) Give your stories bizarre twists.
6) Every story has high stakes and thrilling danger.
7) Heroes must earn their victories, Villains must earn their ass kickings.
8) Keep your campaign evolving. Never stop trying new ideas.

There's surely more. Can you help, /sss/?

I think you have most of the basic tenets down. I'm definitely stealing this to show my players so they know how to be more JoJo.

>>48411554
Really dig this ability and how it works with the name, glad you didn't just make it "this makes someone cold".

>>48411723
The ability is pretty interesting, especially with the caveat you've implemented. The only thing I don't get is why the user's arm would freeze up. If he was stealing heat, wouldn't that mean that his body is getting hotter?
>>
Planning on starting a JoJo game myself

having a shitload of fun coming up with zany characters and their stands, these threads are great for ideas too.
Currently wondering about what kind of power the primary villain will have
>>
>>48412174
The ability is nice and synergizes with the name, but I feel like it's a bit too overpowered.

I'd change it to be a revolver with a set of respawning six bullets, each representing a different part of the tonal scale (do, re, mi, fa, so, la). Depending on the bullet shot is the shape of the golem produced. A bullet representing a higher pitched sound makes a taller, thinner, speedier golem while a bullet representing lower pitches makes a shorter, bulkier, stronger, golem. Only 6 golem can be out at the same time and if one gets destroyed, it takes 5 minutes to respawn the bullet it was made from. The user could spin the chamber to choose which bullet to fire.

This way, the emphasis on the name is even more and it's a lot more balanced.

I love running JoJo games, its so much fun making Stands

For your villain, here is a Stand I made for the antagonist of my last game: [Comfortably Numb] gives anyone it affects a six second perception lag. This means that they will only see what happened six seconds before. They see a man turning the corner, but in reality, that same man is already stabbing them. Pain is also delayed by six seconds, so many deaths are [Comfortably Numb]

>>48418342
One i've been thinking about now for him is called [Empty Bottles], His stand can copy the abilities of others by touching them. The user themselves can copy physical properties of objects, touching metal for hardened skin, touch glass to become transparent stuff like that
>>
>>48414467
>>48414594
Yes, of course it will.
Don't listen to what this anon >>48414481 says, one of the charms of JoJo is that the concept of Stands can apply to any setting, whether it by fighting knights in medieval times or killing aliens on a space station. As long as your characters are fabulous and the story is bizarre and melodramatic, you have JoJo.

With that out of the way, I really like the idea of a Stand Sword being the thing that gives Stands. The setting itself also lends to conflict. Considering that non-Stand users would see things floating around users, they would definitely be considered witches and immediately, it's a battle of Man vs. Society. I can already imagine Stand Jousting, a dragon version of Scary Monsters, and maybe the antagonist being a king.

Don't know why I didn't think of it before, thanks for the setting anon

>>48416692
I honestly think the best way to do it is symbolic evolution. A maturation of their psyche is the best (and possibly only) reason for a Stand to evolve. If you were going to do it artificially with an atom Stand, it would be very nice for it to be very powerful, but also unstable, showing that the Stand user had to have been in a broken mindset to do that to his own Stand.
>>
>>48418433
I feel like you could make it more unique than the "touch them and copy their abilities", especially with that name.

Personally, I would give it a motif of labels. Once you know a Stand or an object's full name (i.e. "Heaven's Door" or "Glass Table") and the entity is in your sight, then you can make a black label with white lettering that represents the properties of that entity. You can stick that label onto [Empty Bottles] and the Stand fills up with a liquid, giving the user its properties. How much space the liquid takes up depends on the strength of the properties. The more you use a liquid, the more diluted it becomes, allowing you to use it in conjunction with more liquids the more you master it. Liquids can also mix, providing very powerful combinations.

For example, the user makes a label of Heaven's Door. A Stand, its liquid takes up 3/4 of [Empty Bottles]. Then, the user makes a label of a glass table, and that liquid takes up 1/4 of the Stand. After continuously using Heaven's Door, eventually its liquid only takes up 1/4 of [Empty Bottles]. The user decides to ditch the glass label and copy The Hand. It takes up 3/4 of the bottle, and the two liquids mix, creating an extremely powerful combination. With proper practice, [Empty Bottles] could even have 4 powerful Stands mixed together.
>>
>>48418810
Thats a lot better than my original idea thanks, could definitely make some interesting and crazy shit happen with that mixing ability
>>
>>48417136
So I went back and read over my last stand idea, and decided that I really didn't put any thought into 「All Mixed Up」. I just slapped some type of time manipulation onto it because Jojo BBEG and called it a day.

So here's an improved version.

Ability: in addition to the abilities of 「Moving in Stereo」, 「All Mixed Up」 grants its user the ability to read the "input" of any individual in range, effectively reading their mind to predict what they will do next. This effect is not automatically active; the user must consciously decide on whose input to read, and can only focus on one source at a time, thus they can still be ambushed or caught off guard. In addition to this, 「All Mixed Up」 grants the ability to switch the inputs of any two individuals affected by its editing of the timeline. This includes the user, thus the user may elect to do nothing when being attacked by an enemy, then switch their own input with that of the enemy, causing the enemy to stand helplessly as the user attacks them in the edited timeline. However, doing this causes affected individuals to experience phantom memories of their experiences in the edited timeline, thus exposing the true nature of the stand's abilities if they are not already known.

No problem, man, I call it when I see it.

At first, I thought this Stand was pretty convoluted but after thorough reading, it's essentially stop-motion King Crimson (which isn't a bad thing). I might steal this, considering how powerful and fitting it is for a BBEG. Having the power to make someone punch their fellow player to death or fall off a building of their own accord is something that would need extremely creatively play to best. That being said, I'm a sucker for these extra forms that you add to your Stands, and its nice that [All Mixed Up] gives the victims a little bit of help when it comes to this super powerful form. Cool design as well.

>>48419468
Alright, this version of [All Mixed Up] is a lot better and fits the name a lot more. Thanks for fixing it up, it is definitely more different than King Crimson now.

No problem, feel free to post any more Stands that you need help with

>>48419541
I had an idea for another that took the form of a deck of cards, each card had an effect attributed to it and he can combine them into "hands" for even stronger results.
So he could combine the "Punch" "Speed boost" and "Flame" cards for massive damage
>>
>>48419823
What's the song it's based off of?

So far, the ability sounds creative, but a bit generic when it comes to the powers on the cards.
>>
>>48420384
Was gonna go with Iron Maidens "Aces High"

Those card attributes were just placeholders for the example, gonna come up with more creative set for the final draft

Apperance: A humanoid being who appears to be composed of two distinct hemispheres, with a pronounced golden depression bisecting in left and rigth halves, hot pink and dark blue. Each having a variation of the other half's aesthetic.

Ability: It has two main abilities, the first one gives the stand power to efectively weld, though not merge, two objects, at least one of which has be in control of the user or stand. Small objects can be adhered for 24 hours since last contact. Objects big enough to restrain a human (car, wall) may need the full atention of the stand user. The adherence is mostly superficial, meaning that breaking off welded parts is possible, although extremely painful for biological targets.

Its second ability is a mirror of the first, as it grants it the power to prevent two given objects to come in full contact from each other, effectively preventing them from touching. Again, anything the size of a room or automovile must have the users attention to maintain itself. This ability can prevent items from being repaired or weapons from being brandished. And while it -can- be utilized to deflect phyisical assault by human hands, it looses utility against objects that are faster or have more mass.
>>
>>48421370
Awakened:Polos Opuestos
The two ablities granted by the awakening, involve granting two objects a given [Pole] The stand or user must make contact with the object for this. Opposite poles will atract while equal poles will repell each other. This ability sacrifices the permanency of the ability for a ranged option.

Requiem:The first ability is empowered to the point it can actually merge objects into one another.
The second ability is empored to the point it can separate things into their components, this only apples to components the stand user can percieve by himslef: Bricks from cement, gears in a clock, human from wall. It cannot separate a trully homogeneous mix however; atoms, compounds, and subatomic particles are beyond the user.

Just something i thought now. not sure if its too good for a pc, but an antagonist it may just work.

「HORSE WITH NO NAME」(A Horse with no Name - America)

Appearance:「HORSE WITH NO NAME」looks like pic related except colored orange-yellow. I'm lazy.

Ability:「HORSE WITH NO NAME」has the ability to summon sandstorms in a 20 meter radius. These sandstorms can vary in size, such as a tiny miniature tornado to a full blown sandstorm capable of flipping cars.

A drawback to this ability is that sandstorms are physical and can harm the user, so the user must be careful with his sandstorms in order to not die by them.

A side ability「HORSE WITH NO NAME」has is the ability to fly inside or on these sandstorms, though only in/on sandstorms.

Destructive Power - A
Speed - B
Range - C
Durability - C
Precision - D
Developmental Potential - C

Inspired by Part 3's Tarot Card Stands, I decided to make my next campaign be focused on the Loteria Cards.

This time, however, the Stand named are references to the cards AND songs. For example, "Iron Rooster" is a song and a reference to El Gallo. The users and their behaviors/tendencies are also based on the riddles that come with each Loteria card.

If /sss/ could critique, that'd be great. If there are any Hispanic people who've had experience with these cards, that'd be even better.

Next post will be about the aforementioned "Iron Rooster" Stand

There is a module that was doing that, but I think the guy making it was doing too much shit. Like 50+ enemy Stands.
>>
>>48422702
Do you have any details on this module? Sounds like this guy could help me.

In other words, I'm only making 54 Stands based off the cards and letting the people choose which to play as and which to fight against.
