Wow, that was fast.
>>
>>48345018
There aren't enough common sense perks in existence to help Jumper.

You could have a common sense perk in each jump - totalling about 605+ Common Sense perks. And it would still not be enough.
>>
>>48344983
Having a split personality would be even worse since that's out and out insanity.

I chose not to get one sure, but there's nothing you really get from the jump in that case, and you can't really be involved in the whole 'symbiote as a solution' deal.

Actually, you already have something akin to a symbiote inside your head. The other half of your brain, that is probably sentient.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfYbgdo8e-8

And getting a free companion to talk and advice you as well as giving you some free sweet multitask is nice. It's not like the symbiote can go against you once you have enough magic/psychic telekinetic powers to ensure that he doesn't does anything weird. They're programmed to assist you, so they will suit whatever morals you have.
>>
>>48345074
I know not of this sense of commons. Is it some way to tell if someone is nobily born or not?
>>
Can you learn disciplines that you didn't pick up with cp in VtM: B? Can you increase your maximum blood points?
>>
>>48345018
If Jumpers ever had common sense they wouldn't have taken the deal with Jump-chan and stayed in their world.
>>
>>48345088
Hey, my mind has several dozen of me inside it, plus my zanpakuto and hollow selves, plus my kamui, plus anyone i invite inside. It's pretty palatial... plus, I read people's minds all the time... totally hypocritical to worry about invasions of privacy.
>>
>>48345109
>Can you learn disciplines?
Yes.

>Maximum blood points
Only through diablerie
>>
In Jojo, is Anubis's technique memorizing basically "I won't be fooled twice, because I now know that move and I know what weakspot it has" along with just fast reaction with the learned stuff?

As for it growing stronger and faster over time, is there a cap to it? Since apparently it's speed and strength was increasing as it fought.
>>
>>48345111
Actually, it would be silly not to take the offer, seeing as you can't really die and get at least one Jump's worth of skills that would give you huge advantages in life.

>Not taking a deal that literally puts you on the path of omnipotence with little risk thanks to meta-knowledge and exponential planed growing.

Sure, enjoy your average normal life. Maybe you can survive for the singularity to happen and pray that the AIs are benevolent enough to not exterminate you.
>>
>>48345093
I thought your brain halves only functioned wholly separately (and thus could fit the argument of being two individuals) if they severed the corpus callosum?
>>
>>48345088
Even going Imprisoned, importing some AI of your own, or switching roles and being the Symbiote yourself isn't to your liking?

Ah well, fair enough. It's one jump, not everything can be to everyone's liking I suppose...

You could always pick up 'Brackman Intellect' and 'Symbiont' from Supreme Commander. The first perk to merge an AI with an organic mind (that's a Symbiote by the way) and the latter partially cyberizes your brain, but also does said AI merging with you.

So technically you could use them to make an AI as close to you as possible, or an AI that will agree with you, and merge it with the Symbiote before in turn installing that into the Symbiont. Basically reprogramming it to your needs.
>>
>>48345154
Still having to leave a world every ten years or more depending on a drawback seems a bit much doesn't it?
Going into one world after another leaving each and every life you have behind to go into the unknown not knowing if the world you went to might be better or worse than the next.
>>
>>48345190
Imprisoned means the thing is still there, the AI would be no different than a native symbiote (though I know a girl who would be fucking THRILLED if she could find a way to force me to take her as a symbiote), and being the symbiote would be hypocritical of me.

>>48345191
To let another being become a part of my mind entirely sounds even worse to me.
>>
>>48345222
I guess. It's effectively braindead (while not having anything besides their mind) through, so personally I wouldn't count it as 'there'. But to each their own.
>>
>>48345181
Some theorize that it's more like you see that once the communication is lost and the other half has to rely on memory and external impulses to keep carry on its own tasks.

You're two individuals so coordinated that you made the illusion of being only one. Once the coordination starts to falter, the illusion shatters.

Sounds like every explorer ever. Neil Armstrong didn't know if he'd ever leave the moon when he landed. Sometimes you go and find what's there.
>>
>>48345196
Well you can quit whenever you want, and if you don't take risks you can't succeed in this world either. It's just that in this one, you probably won't come back when you die or build your way back up after everything falls to pieces. Of course, it could just be that I've got wanderlust and a desire to find new things.

Question on making a servant, what does Independent Action above A+ do? I understand that A+ means that the servant can remain in indefinitely, and EX would likely allow complete independence in terms of mana generation, but what about A++ and A+++?

It wastes CP.

Girls Under Panzer (1st Jump):
Panzer Vor!
rolled 4: Ooarai Girls HS
50 Enthusiast
EGSDT: Commander Shepherd, Ender Wiggin, Sarah Kerrigan, Jim Raynor,Michael O'Neal(Aldenata), Jiraiya, ???.. mostly fictional commanders/warriors, because I like their personalities and know them better. (Outsider, Always Remember, Read and you shall know, tank tech)

250 Specialist*6(1 free, 5 discounted): All (Commander, Gunner, Radio/Navigator, Driver, Loader, Mechanic)
Basic Tankery (dependable, stronger mind/body)
100 Advanced Tankery (specialties upgraded to mastery, know all about historical tanks)
200 Polite Grace and Dignified Femininity

100 More Love Love Operation (extra hour for frivolity)
100 Songs of War
100 Always Remember (people things, facts, important dates, etc)
200 Read and You shall know
100 Tank Tech
400 Our Armor is Fairly Thin (know personal/team weaknesses, when they're targeted, and improved ability to avoid it when they are targeted)
Tank Cakes
200 Extra Food Vouchers
200 Indestructible Paint(these colors never run)
300 Tank Hangar
+600 That would be cheating, Little General, Can humans even... (sleepy)
+800 All the Enemies you ever wanted
100 Girls und Armor

My enemies... are all normal humans. So starting a year before canon, with 32 companion/allies, it isn't terribly hard to get the Tankery elective re-approved, and we can find all the old tanks. Kind of a problem with them being a couple decades old (mostly due to girls und armor), but all of us being mechanically knowledgeable, and good at reading, we can use the school equipment to _make_ parts, and assemble new tanks. The girls interested in tankery (non-companions) add up to fill the tanks we're making, and make friends.

It's annoying to be that short and adorable... but at least I get more sweets. The tankery problem benefits helps keep my sleep problems from making me repeat a grade. I sometimes sleep in a tank so I have a short walk in the morning.
>>
>>48345565
Better mana generation, basically. At A+ they can remain without a master indefinitely... but if they start spending lots of mana, they aren't going to get that back in a long time.

Side note, since Servants get normal mana generation after the jump anyway (Ex effectively), buying it with CP for yourself or an imported companion is pretty much a waste.
>>
>>48345565
Gives you better mana generation. A+ only allows indefinitely going without a master, not for you to run around and spend mana freely like normal Servants with masters can.

It's a waste if you're buying it for you or imports though, since you effectively get Ex equivalent mana generation after the jump. Getting it for a non-imported Servant at that high a rank may cause you to get shanked by them, since you're not really important to them. Depending on the Servant. Atleast it gives CP as a drawback then.

And finally:

Can we somehow, with enough tech, in jump, replicate omnitrix or such? There have been knock offs after all. And Albedo did his thing too

Hey Are this build And these plans viable?
note: no limit on drawbacks found
Numbernumber:+200 at this point their technology does not scare me
The Most Dangerous Game: Khyber +300 the animal trainer with the awesome dangerous animals from space? I think it's supper time.
Freaked Out:+300 do you have any idea what I am false Phantom? Let's see how you like it when start shining like the star I am.
Chose Primus -50 got to start here so I can harvest all this essence for my myself and my zurg hive, once Azmuth arrives I burn that recent human alternate form to duplicate him, and morphing memory allows me his knowledge and skill as well as his intellectual capacity. Of course this is after we scanned the samples themselves so that we have the DNA on file for cloning with cortex command cloning. Which I then use to make cell metals via Gara's Lost Work, with the cell metals provided by my, various regeneration perks, together with waveform anatomy and The Cup of the King, these are going to be some amazing core metals.
Homeless free it's got the discounts I want unfortunately
chose Age:10/2=5 -50 I love being young.
I'm Hurt. Deeply Hurt: (Free: Homeless) seems handy
Osmosian -300 discount for homeless this seems more so
Technopath-300 discount for homeless Question does this work organic machines like Primus?
Nemetrix with Evolutinary Function-1000 duplicate twice and give to the whale wolves
Taydenite-100 discount for homeless scan and mass-produce this if I can, if I can't use Osmosian to scrape away some for sale , let's see if I can duplicate it in ways other than minecraft duplication Roll(1d100)+0:11,+0 Total:11 so yes I think my huge fabrication bay can handle it
rolling to see if I can license weapons technology from the Techadons
Roll(1d100)+0:63,+0 Total:63 so that's a no lot but I don't think they're trying to kill me.
I believe early I pretty much discussed my plans in the notes, but mostly it's genetic hijinks and taking Azmuth's place.
>>
>>48346318
Also, so can we access the DNA database on our Omnitrix and copy it into a second device, in order to have the Omnitrix access two Alien DNA's at once, or do we have to have a separate device that mixes the DNA and provides it to Omnitrix?

Because:
>Do note that just because you can’t modify the Omnitrix itself doesn’t mean you can’t build
machines that are compatable with it. If you wanted to plug it into a cloning machine or even slot it
into another DNA storage device to transform into alien hybrids, go right ahead.

So I want to make sure

Reposting build.

-Background: Refugee (800CP) -I needed to get away.
-Species: Human (Free) -Stick to what I know.
-Anodite (200CP) -Improving magic is kickass.
-Studious (Free) -Learning is fun!
-Sanctum (50CP) (Discount) -Aaaand Garden.
-Magic (Free) -OH LOOK, I GET TO USE MAGIC.
-Evolutionary Function (-450CP) -Attach this to EVO's Simulated Biome. Laugh.
-Focus (Free) -Huh, this could be neat.
-Staff of Ages (-750CP) (Discount) -OH AND WHAT FUN WE SHALL HAVE.
-Rooting You Out (-450CP)
-The Most Dangerous Game (-150CP)
-Wanted (50CP)
Dice Rolls: Primus, 11 years old
-End Choice: Next Adventure

So I've got a question. Suppose we didn't install the Evolutionary Function into an Omnitrix, but instead say... the Simulated Biome from E.V.O.

>Simulated Biome (300cp, Discount Aliens): Added onto your warehouse is a door, which will take you to a large dome chamber. Just be thinking about it you can make this chamber simulate any environment, biosphere, and/or life form beyond its indestructible glass walls and use the controls to tweak the conditions and examine what happens. The space beyond the walls is effectively impossible to interact with in anyway aside from the functions of this attachment. The options you have for this simulation will expand as your knowledge and technology does, letting you apply the best of both your mind and potential gear towards seeing just what happens when you mess with the natural order. You might occasionally think you hear a voice berating you for your folly in playing god, but I can assure you that it's all in your head.

Any idea of what may happen.
>>
>>48346314
>Now, when you say that the companions can't use Omnitrix, do you mean they can't even use the one we bought for CP?

No, just the finished product.

>Will mind resistance perks help with resisting Zz'skayr in the drawback?

Willpower perks will help to an extent, but they won't be 100% effective and things that prevent mind control won't work.

>How does taking Evolutionary function without Omnitrix work or can work, and in what form do we receive it.

It's a small computer part. I'm sure you could use it in genetic experiments. The main reason I didn't have it come pre-installed is because I figured some people might like the option to be able to do something with it.

>Can we somehow, with enough tech, in jump, replicate omnitrix or such? There have been knock offs after all. And Albedo did his thing too

Yes, but it will follow similar restrictions to the one found in the jump.
>>

Honestly, you might wanna shell out for a GN Drive, they're pretty great bullshit to have on your side. The particles are real versatile, and can be used for ECM, Sensing, Beam Weapons, Defensive Fields, strengthening armor, enhancing cutting ability, flight, Communication and connection via quantum brainwaves, and optical camoflauge.

If you've already got multiple reactors, you could go the cheaper route and get a GN Tau Drive, which creates flawed red particles, and requires electricity from another source (in this case, your other reactor(s). in which case it's less a powerplant and more a GN Particle Converter.

Read up on em here: http://gundam.wikia.com/wiki/GN_Drive

If we steal Albedo's omnitrix before he uses it, and we use it in our human alt form, are we still remade into Ben due to his DNA being default?
>>
>>48346485
You are blocked from getting a real Omnitrix by fiat.
>>
>>48346351
Sounds fine to me. Technopathy doesn't allow you to control biological machines, but you can abuse Osmosian to harvest taydenite. It's going to hurt pretty bad, and it probably isn't good for your health, but I don't think you have to worry about that.

>>48346375
The first one should be fine.

>>48346395
It would probably put everything you created in the dome through millions of years of natural selection in an environment that would encourage the creation of biological superweapons.

Obviously, I'm not the jumpmaker, but if you want my personal take on it, I would say that if you're paying the 50cp to import a mech, then I'd say you pay 100cp for a True (or Tau) GN Drive if you sacrifice an existing self-sustaining powerplant, or if you want to add one to the imported mech (or just buy a standalone drive) that it's 400cp (Nothing + Tier 2 + Tier 3 + Tier 4 + Tier 5) for a True GN Drive, or 300cp for a GN Tau Drive.

I was implying it was built by someone like Albedo or Dr. Psychobos, so just ignore that part. The other restrictions exist to make it so purchasing an alien isn't a suckers choice. >>48346436
No. I'm not 100% sure on how Primus is put together, but it's probably a bunch of different interconnected systems, some with different DNA and some with no DNA at all. It would be like trying to acquire an entire ecosystem.

the only reason not to pay 450 for the 00 & 0 Raiser, instead of 50 to import and 400 for a GN Drive is that if you import it, the custom work is warrantied by Jumpchan, and if you buy the gundam and transplant one or both drives, then you're responsible for re-integrating them in the event of catastrophic damage.

I don't understand Gundam very well, but the recent wind babble in Macross Delta (actually Windemeres apparently having some sort of dimensional combat hyperawareness from fold wave singing that enables them to casually dodge an entire fleet's firepower when the song's at maximum pitch) kinda helps me conceptualise what all the emphasis on psychic stuff was about.

What are some articles of clothing/pieces with armor with useful or interesting, but not necessarily powerful effects? Stuff like this:

>Undertaker’s Cloak (Cost: 100 Cp): this drab gray cloak has a minor but useful enchantment. Non-sentient undead will not attack the wearer or even be able to see them unless directed by an outside force. Sentient undead are immune to this effect.

>Spectacles of Clear Sight (Cost: 100 Cp, Discount: Drop In): A mundane looking pair of glasses. When worn they grant the ability to see through fog and magical darkness as if they were not present.

>Mask of Shadows (Cost: 200 Cp): this pure white featureless mask covers the wearer’s face entirely. While it is worn the wearer is immune to all detection spells and witnesses cannot discern anything about their appearance or even voice. The wearer may also choose to appear as an average looking human of either sex.

>Headphones(100cp): ...What? Don’t look at me like that, they’re really useful! Look, let me explain: These headphones are capable of playing a special music that reinvigorates the wearer. Essentially, by listening to the music, the wearer can continue a physical effort that would normally exhaust them. Like, saying climbing a certain tower, straight into the Shomonkai’s chapel room...
>Headphones (200): These all purpose high quality headphones can interface with just about anything and have audio quality rivaling a live band. But that’s just the frosting on the cake, the real meat of it is that it has a musical generator, creating scene and situation fitting music wherever, whenever.
>Headphones (100 CP, Discount Transfer Student): A set of custom-made, high-quality earphones, providing every feature you could ever ask for, including perfect sound quality and adjustable noise cancellation ranging from total to none at all. If left unplugged, they will pick up music from the Collective Unconscious, playing you a soundtrack that fits your environment, often tending towards jazz and pop but nevertheless providing you with a neverending playlist which never gets old or boring.
>Perfect Headset (100 cp, Free Creator): A pair of headphones with absolutely perfect audio fidelity, that comes with an attached microphone with equal quality. They're wireless, and can even record and play back audio on their own.

>>
>>48346778
The main issue is that it feels like you would be spending your whole budget on a piece of shit, this isn't really the case but the description makes it feel that way.

Also there is the fact that 800 cp of aliens is worth exactly fuckall considering their prices, mostly because they are so expensive to begin with that even at a discount you can't get much. It would make more sense to start with the same aliens Ben did, why that would be unreasonable when it cost your entire budget and heavily restricts your use of their abilities is beyond me.

Finally why can't you copy Ben's aliens? You said before that you were considering changing that, there were good reasons to get rid of that restriction and none for keeping it.

At that point, it's basically just a style choice, since it can be done without the limits by other things. But I understand why you are limiting it like this, and carry no hard feelings.

Anyway, question time. What's the benefit to adding your altforms to the Omnitrix?

How creepy would an Ectonurite Tennyson be?

And if I take Jumpertrix with Freaked Out, can I get Zz'Skayr in my Jumpertrix instead of becoming him and fighting for control over our body?

>>
>>48347228
>tried to sneak in your old powergrabbing bullshit.

You mean the same shit people usually try?
>>
>>48347210
Ah, no. Sagi, Can I Eat Her? converts all magical power directly to physical strength. So if you're a powerful mage, you temporarily convert all of that into raw physical strength, and now you punch hard instead of spell damage. Scension is basically being a magical swordsman, and lets you channel your spells through your weapon.

... Though those are pretty darn similar, now that I think it over.

>>48347244
Fff.... ignore that. Ignore that completely. That's a note from the previous version where Apothesis gave a supermode that ignored defenses.

Those are just starter aliens, you can scan more. I was originally going to have it start with no aliens, but changed my mind.

>Finally why can't you copy Ben's aliens? You said before that you were considering changing that, there were good reasons to get rid of that restriction and none for keeping it.
I was going to change that, but then I forgot.

So since I have access to all those OP aliens and Azmuth's Technological skill, what besides the Omnitrix and the Alpha Runeis still locked off for me via fiat? also note that it doesn't say you can't make your own Ascalon.
I mostly meant it would keep the alien restrictions. There isn't a reason why you couldn't figure out a way to keep them running longer or take multiple samples from the same species. I honestly didn't even think of someone reverse engineering Ascalon.

>>48347080
Each alien is a suite of powers unto themselves. They seem highly costed, but if you broke them down into their individual parts they would end up costing more than they do.
>>
>>48346778
The limitations basically make it a cheap toy, other than the one regarding Celestiosapiens etc. they are unreasonable for such an expensive item. Just offer that actual Omnitrix with a fiat restriction on the OP as fuck species.
>>
>>48347100
Honestly I don't want it. The jumpmaker's already confirmed that the Omnitrix is based off of genetics. Meaning that Morphing technology is both far less expensive and far superior to the Omnitrix anyways. I was just offering criticism based on the pricing of Aliens and the Omnitrix.

>>48347272
Setting is basically that 1000 years ago, a dark god named Malpercio rebelled against the others, and was promptly killed. Unfortunately, the battle tainted the earth beyond repair, and his body was cut up, then the 5 biggest pieces were used as power sources to lift 5 chunks of earth into the sky to hover above the tainted earth. 1000 years later, there's a Spiriter, a dude with a ghost hanging around in his heart (the player) that can sway fate for him. He recently joined an evil army, and is out to assassinate the emperor. Also, there's a war of machination (basically, people who like robots and technology) vs magnation (people who use their hearts to do magic). The machination people want to rip out everyone's wings of hearts because spoiler reasons.

Over the course of the game, you find out that the gods were actually just stupidly powerful wizards, and Malpercio was actually a set of 5 siblings who rebelled against the leader of the rest of the "Gods". Also, the leader was this crazy metal bird dude who turned people into basically soul-stuff and ate them. Also, the player isn't actually a ghost, he's a tiny bit of flesh from one of those 5, implanted into the main character. The reason they want to rip out the wings of heart is because they don't want this war to ever happen again. The fact that anyone with their wings ripped out becomes kinda emotionless is mildly unfortunate.

It's much better than it sounds. Very cool pictures for a gamecube game.
>>
>>48347273
Other than the restriction on the use of the BS aliens are there any hard restrictions on the purchasable Omnitrix? Can you unlock the other features that do not involve the reality warper bullshit? Namely the time limit and master control.

I think he means Guts—the protagonist of Berserk. Wields a big fucking sword. Could be wrong, mind, but that's what comes to mind.

>>48347158
It looks okay, but I kind of wish there were more Wings of the Heart options, just because I always thought those were neat.

Maybe mismatched wings, sort of based on Kalas, that lets you get two different wings at the cost of the individual effects being reduced?

So, anyway, I'm pretty sure between the two different hunters trying to kill me, both of which start out outside the Null Void, I'll find a way out. If not, I'll just follow Kevin in a few years.
Also I can just teleport between planes by myself, so meh.

Anyway, you want to know what's really freaky? When you stop time , and then you go to move out of the way of someone trying to kill you, and THE Professor Paradox turns and asks if you always take the time to get into a cool pose before you start time up again.

>The answer to both answers is it's a drawback.
It just seems weird that the drawback has two versions, one of which only available if you have the Omnitrix, and yet isn't compatible with the other watch. Wouldn't it turn out functionally the same? He'd break out and start fucking shit up and all. But anyway... Seems like I'm getting a pretty decisive 'no' on that though, so I'll just shut up about it an accept my confusion as being a part of the drawback.

>So yes, you can purchase another alien species, you just can't use it until after the jump.
Awesome, thanks.

>If you're a Tennyson than prepare for a fun roadtrip to the nearest Plumber base. Sounds like the start of a fun vacation for Ben and Gwen too. I wonder how Uncle Max would explain that one.
So, everyone's going on a roadtrip with cousin Zz'Skayr... Sounds like it'd be extremely hilarious and/or stupid.

Anyway, thanks for answering my questions.

All of those? Could a max level player stand up to an equivalent level 20 D&D class? Are the mages versatile?

What can the gods do? How dangerous is a dragon?
>>
>>48347972
It says that you CAN choose to become an Ectonurite yourself (which I'd argue is way worse than the base drawback considering the risks), but nothing about needing to do so if you lack an Omnitrix.

What an oddly specific question which is likely not suspicious at all.

Seriously though, Gibari from the original is the one you're thinking of, but my jump's based on the prequel. Unfortunately, Gibari is not one of the protagonists in this game, so no fish fins of heart as a given option, sorry.

Would the personality cores in Portal speak to me in my voice?

What would be some good nouns to choose for them? As they're "personality cores", I wouldn't expect them to have much knowledge beyond a Master's Degree in the real world, seeing as how it's a 100cp perk. Because of this, and the fact that I could easily surpass that level with actual perks, I decided to opt out on "science" cores. Initially, I thought that they would work as a poor man's memory partition useful when working on projects, but now I'd rather have several perspectives on the best course of action in a more general sense, with each considering things I might not have. I've considered drawing from the following list, but I'd like some suggestions.

Saint, Philosopher, Politician, Everyman, Vigilante, Justice, Scientist

For reference:

>Personality Cores. (100 AP, Discount JuDOS): Pick any three positive nouns. You now have three helpful voices in your head with personalities built exclusively around those nouns. Not only will you never be alone again, the voices will be able to give you largely helpful advice on whatever their topic is. An Anthropologist Sphere could point a scientist trying to reinforce the human skeleton in the right direction. You can turn the voices off if you don’t want to deal with them. These cores are 100% uncorrupted and completely helpful. They can have physical bodies if you want.

Does Another Time, Another Place count for purposes of 3 drawback limit?

If I take the Jumpertrix and have the Vilgax after me, is he still after Ben's omnitrix or will he just ignore it? Is he as powerful as Canon, more or less?

If I take Wanted and am a Tennyson, or even someone else, can I just use disguises and such to avoid detection?

Numbernumber thing is funny, due to the fact that it doesn't have any bullshit "They will always get stronger or immune to your powers.". It is actually a good fair fun drawback.

It's not enchanted until after he has killed a lot of things with it, it's literally that he has killed so many things that it has gotten better at killing things. >>48348090
They don't have to be "people". They could be stuff like "Morality", "Objectivity", "Justice", or "Compassion". Or at least I would think so based on the canon examples.

I can allow multiple wings if people want it. I suppose in that case, you'll get to either pick to have one wing of each type, like the dude from the original game, or from just having multiple pairs of wings sticking out of your back. I'm also adding the ability to customize your wings (Butterfly wings simply have to be insect wings, feather wings can be anything with feathers, machina wings just need to look robotic) so you can modify your wings to look nice even when going full seraphim.
>>
>>48348592
So could we also buy the same type of wing multiple times?

Neat. One question, Magnus Feeder. The start of it sounds like an optional thing you can do to boost your power, but the end of the perk seems to pretty strongly suggest that it's a need that you must constantly butcher to meet. Which is accurate?

For Apothesis is it intended to just be an anti-fate perk? The last sentence seems to imply it's something more. Also for Magnus Feeder, can you destroy the ghosts you make with out of setting stuff?
>>
Alright, I need to come clean. Part of the reason Boktai screeched to a halt is due to how I setup Arsenal. While there's TONS of options for guns, canonically, between Frames, Lenses, etc...I don't have much of ANYTHING for melee weapons.

So, I need some input with this. Do I enable melee weapons to be equipped with self-sustaining lens equivalents, or just make a 'Device' gauntlet that can power up melee weapons you either already own or can buy from normal Gear?
>>
>>48348830
Forgot to mention: Third option is to go OC with it and try to make some neat options to roll with melee.
>>
>>48348806
Secondary anti-absolutes effect, because while it's primarily an anti-fate thing, end-game Sagi, once he's buddies with Malpercio, suddenly starts smashing through Machina Arma, which spend the first half of the game being invincible, and your fights are just until PLOT RESCUE! Also, just anti-fate is incredibly dull, and as was pointed out when talking about my original draft, doesn't really compete very well with the other options.
>>
>>48347936
As long as you didn't somehow personally catch his attention, yes.

>>48348008
I'll clarify it. I meant that if you take the drawback, you can instead choose to be an Ectonurite for the duration of the jump. I agree it's really harsh, but I originally had the drawback be Omnitrix only, but then felt that people should be able to take it anyway even if they don't have an Omnitrix, so instead you become an Ectonurite permanently. To keep it from being a decade long nightmare I'll also add a bit that says something about Zz'Skyr not fighting for control 24/7, but only intermittently.

>>48348040
I'm not very far into Jojo, so I can't say for sure, but I think using Hamon as an Ectonurite would kill you, wouldn't it?

>>48348540
You could, but you couldn't use it because it is against the rules of the jump.
>>
>>48348849
Nice.
>>
>>48348876
Technically it would.

But any metaphysical or psionic or such means of weakening Zz'Skayr or making me remain myself would help with resisting him? What would be good means of bringing me back into control or decreasing his control so I take it back? Including some third party method that would require another person to basically treat me every now and tehn.

Also, this >>48348121
>>
>>48348876
Do perks that make you unable to be possessed help with Zz'Skyr? I know it's probably not going to completely stop him(drawbacks override perks and all that), but would it at least make it significantly harder for him?
>>
>>48348988
Maybe you can talk to him in the mind-scape or something and discuss a good deal, along with keeping him for next jumps.

>>48348830

>>48348938
You could temporarily weaken him with powers, but permanently is a no go. As for taking back control, you could bruteforce it or try and seize back control when he's distracted. He's trapped in there with you just as much as you are with him. Willpower boosting perks really are your best friend in this case even if even they aren't perfect.

>>48348988
If he's escaped from the Omnitrix and tries to posses you and you have something that helps you resist possession, he's probably going to consider it more trouble than it's worth and just try and kill you instead. If you're an Ectonurite it isn't going to help.

Sorry, didn't notice.

>Does Another Time, Another Place count for purposes of 3 drawback limit?
You can take as many drawbacks as you like, but only three of them will give you points.

>If I take the Jumpertrix and have the Vilgax after me, is he still after Ben's omnitrix or will he just ignore it? Is he as powerful as Canon, more or less?
He's as powerful as he is in canon and he wants both.

>If I take Wanted and am a Tennyson, or even someone else, can I just use disguises and such to avoid detection?
Sure. Plumbers have a lot of resources and powerful aliens at their disposal so it wouldn't be easy, but you could.

>If I am in Ectonurite form, does he have all my jump powers? Can he change into my alt-forms? Am I affected less if I am in alt forms?
He has your powers. I don't think you can use alt-forms with drawbacks that change your form, but if you can then he can use them, although he won't necessarily know he has them if you don't use them.

>Also, what if I get myself a knock off Omnitrix? Will he just attempt to Escape instead, if I set my default DNA to human or something?
Even if you somehow did he is you and you are him for the duration of the jump so it wouldn't matter.

They continue to have their effects on perks you obtain later. When in the chain you obtain a perk shouldn't affect its usefulness unless it grows over time.

>>
Would Tau Battlesuits count as Mecha, or as Power Armour?
>>
>>48349426
I'm... not quite certain, to be honest. I'm pretty sure it's just devouring their body and their magic. It leaves a strange echo-thing. The echo can still talk, and the game seems to imply they act like some sort of ghost, but they don't even seem to notice having been eaten if they got surprise-nommed. So safe to assume that it's basically just killing them in a way guaranteed to leave a ghost, but that powers you up. The game's a bit odd about a few things.

>>
>>48349531
You mean like the Heartless drawback? I should clarify that it doesn't prevent you from using Machina Wings, since they're not actual wings of heart...

I'm not aware of anyone doing that in canon, but no one in canon's a jumper and I don't think there's cloning either, so... go ahead? You've got an advantage in that you're not actually trying to create a stable and balanced existence, while they were, so it shouldn't even be hard for you. The bits of flesh infect stuff like plants or dogs, after all, the main problem would just be getting it to activate on time.

Oh.

For a second I was just worried about Vilgax but if he's at his canon levels of power, I can fuck him up no problem.

We still have access to Warehouse with Jumpertrix, right?

Also, so taking the Ghost freak drawback + Jumpetrix would make him escape Jumpetrix, or would it result in me becoming Zz'skayr?

So, if I had an item that, when I am blasted with it, makes me stay myself, that would help me remain in control when Zz'skayr is acting up?

...So Magic/Tech drug, heh.
>>
>>48349877
So basically, with enough flesh, some time, and enough surgical skill, I can turn a forest into an army of Afterlings.
Aha. Ahahaha. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! TIME FOR MAD SCIENCE!
>>
>>48349313
So, with enough willpower perks, and with that revision you said that the person is not fighting Zz'skayr 24/7 but only in certain intervals, it would basically literally be a more influential Inner Hollow of the jumper.

So a jumper that struggled with Bloodborne beast and other such things would have experience.

Also, I love idea of fighting in the mind for power, and eventually gaining Zz'skayr's approval. if not this jump, then the next. That we work together when we are about to die, but after that, we fight for control, and he will use these times to take control when he can.

I love this now.

Zz'skayr could shape his second skin into a Death-like cloak, so could I arguably change my shape or appearance as Zz'skayr so I don't look like regular Zz'skayr? Perhaps with shapeshifting perks or something. an interesting appearance...

A bit confused: How do perks being relative to the setting reflect with Apothesis? How is anti- fate-and-absolutes relative? Same with the increases from Sheltered, do they get into diminishing returns after they start to go beyond the scope of the setting. Just trying to get a handle on the scope of setting beyond 'sploding stuff.
>>
>>48350041
Please don't take away access to warehouse, good man.

Or how about limit it so that we have limited time access to it. Either we have limited time, the Jumpetrix time limit, to go into it and do stuff and we can't stay there for longer, with it using up Jumpetrix's energy... or that we can summon warehouse stuff in the alt-form of Jumpetrix? Or just keep the warehouse access as is.

Would having Jumpetrix and Zz'skayr drawback make me lose the willpower perks unless I am in the altform of Jumpetrix?
>>
>>48349986
Take Paradoxical in Ben 10, Narnian Time in Narnia, and According to my Records from Drakengard to stop yourself from being shanked by Time Travelers and knowing when time has been fucked. For time traveling, you can take a Time Classpect in Sburb, or take Wings of Time in Chrono Trigger, use the Muscle Car Import option in Supernatural, repaint it as a Police car, and throw the Siren from Investigator on the roof.
>>
>>48350080
So long as you have the Malideiter and Spirit disadvantages, you are, basically, the ghost of an evil god inside of whoever has that bit of your flesh implanted inside of them. You can chat with them, but they're still in charge. Having your host cut off bits of yourself and infect others will not cause any sort of mental splitting though, since each iteration will have it's own version of Malpercio hanging around inside of it.

>>48350112
That's primarily for things such as Godslayer, to be honest, but in the case of Apothesis, it means that you can tell any sort of fate or destiny to fuck off, because you've got a Spirit. And yeah, Sheltered goes into diminishing returns beyond the limtis of the setting, but at the late game the MC crew are actually capable of standing up to things like Afterlings and Machina Arma, both of which can be turned toward island destruction (The Arma directly, and the Afterlings by being used as batteries for cannons), as well as Wiseman, who ended up going one-on-five in the Age of the Gods, when the 5 were Malpercio (the dudes whose corpse pieces are used to make monsters/batteries for island-busters.)

Newfriend here. Just tried my hand at Pokemon. Figured it was worth posting?

Gain:Bag, Pokegear, Pokedex, 5x Pokeballs, 3x Potion, Hat
Region:Hoenn
Age:10
Origin:Drop-in
Starter:Torchic
Skills:Savant, Combat Training, Blend in, Psionics
Gear:50kP, Bike, Rebreather, HMs
Flaws:Marked, Silent

Well, I guess I'm just dropping into Hoenn! I've pissed off the Teams Surf and Turf, and I'm mute. But at least I'm a telepath. After brainpunching some Taillows out of the way, Torchic joins my party and my adventure of fighting crime and casual tourism begins. Hoenn has some of my favorite aesthetics, which is pretty much why I chose it.

Due to being 10 years old, my encounters with Surf/Turf are characterized more by social manipulation and taking advantage of the terrain than direct combat, at first. A I spend more time wandering the wilderness, training my Torchic up and working on catching a competent team, I form casual relationships with several other trainers, mostly based around safety in numbers for trips into the wild. I have no desire to challenge the League for its own sake, but likely do so after some point, just to give myself focus. Likely not until I hit puberty though.

Until then, I wander and train. As the years pass, Torchic ends up becoming a Blaziken, and once I'm strong enough physically, we often spar. I don't particularly bond with any of my other pokemon, though I do spend the time and effort to treat them like persons, instead of animals.

Somewhere in my later years, if they haven't already been ground down by the police and other independent trainers, I take the time to crush the Teams. It's likely to be profitable, and I may as well improve the world in some way.

Before my time is up, I ask my pokemon whether they'd like to come with me to the next adventure or remain in this world. I'm not surprised when most elect to remain, and I free them happily. Blaziken, however, asks to remain with me. So be it. We'll be comrades for a while longer.

What would be a good Devil Fruit for Accelerator/Yuriko?
>>
>>48350112

Oh, whoops, misunderstood your question. Um, lemme try again. Anyway, like I said, that note was primarily for things like godslayer, since in a previous version, Apothesis gave a "Screw your defenses" style supermode. However, it still applies to things like Magnus Eater, which demands a town's worth of people to power you up... assuming they're about as powerful as a town during that time. Abnormally strong targets, so long as they're still valid, will of course fill you up more. So eat, say, Elminister and you'll get a huge boost. On the other hand, eat people without strong hearts, like a race of engineered to be emotionless slaves, and you won't get much at all. Butterfly Wings's speed boost applies to people moving at a... mostly human speed. It won't let you kick 3 times as fast as the flash, to use a ridiculously overstated example. Etc. Basically, it's just stating "use a reasonable average."
>>
>>48350041
So you said we can't get aliens that don't have DNA.

How the fuck does Petrosapien, Diamondhead, have DNA? He's made of crystals only! And yet he's a thing.
>>
>>48350180
Question, if I keep both the Malideiter and Spirit drawbacks post-jump, will I still have to worry about my host turning into an Afterling?
Because to be honest, at least storywise, aside from that risk that actually sounds kind of cool, especially if I combine it with having my NPC from Overlord as a host.
>>
>>48350248
Calm-Calm Fruit. Hear me out: Calm-Calm nullifies sound but doesn't stop force. An explosion would still produce a shockwave, it just wouldn't make any sound. So what that means is that it's effectively evening out kinetic energy affected by it. Dampening vibrations, but maintaining the actual force involved. That's great for Accelerator, as it would reduce the complexity of the vectors they're manipulating and take off a lot of the load from their calculations.
>>
>>48350041
Question.

Doesn't Zz'skayr also have that second skin thing to let him not be affected by sunlight if he's fully covered? Can't we use that to bypass the sunlight weakness or decrease it if we choose to BE that race due to not having omnitrix?
>>
>>48350308
He's got crystalline DNA. Yeah, it sounds dumb, but it's canon that everything in the Omnitrix has DNA, even the things that it doesn't make sense for.
>>
>>48350322
Well that is certainly a good idea, I was thinking more in terms of theme but that one could actually provide a considerable benefit. Thanks anon.
>>
>>48350341
... so the little hover thing that lets the slime ball move around. Is that just... because that appears, too, whenever Ben uses that form, so... does that also have...? How does that work exactly...?
>>
>>48350341
So what determines in Ben 10 universe if a thing has DNA or not?
>>
>>48350115
I'll think about what to do with the Warehouse, but you would probably keep your willpower perks depending on what they were. Anything you would naturally be capable of is brought down to peak human, or in your case, Ectonurite.

>>48350308
>>48350341
Everything but Anodites for some reason.

>>48350338

>>48350411
Assume it has DNA unless it is a robot or magic.
>>
>>48350396
No, that's artificial. The Omnitrix sometimes adds cybernetics to its forms to enhance their abilities. Like XLR8, from the original series? Word of god is that the natural form of that species looks nothing like that, and the alien raptor look is because the Omnitrix added in streamlined coating and balancing organs and stuff like that so that it could run faster.

>>48350411
Whether the writers wanted it to be in the Omnitrix or not. I don't think there's any real rhyme or reason.
>>
am I crazy or was someone making a Nier jump at some point?
>>
>>48350429

Alright. Last questions:

Can Evolutionary Function also be gotten separately in universe, without having to buy it in jump?

Can you get that Book of Spells item in jump too? I mean, it was in book case in Earth museum...

Would any other Reverse engineering or tech knowledge perks from other jumps count as beyond human peak or that's enough? Would it allow one to basically not need the R&D perk?

Why is Anondite perk only discounted to, you know, Tennysons?
>>
>>48350429
Professor, I wanted to ask you some questions about giving DNA to Ben for scanning.
First off, would a Pillar Men form look like a Pillar Man version of Ben, or like the Pillar Man whose DNA I took, like Kars or Whammu? Secondly, would giving Ben a Bloodborne Great One's form cause him any mental issues? Thirdly, if I gave Ben NGE Angel DNA, would the Omnitrix be able to handle that, given their...unique physiology?

>>
>>48350316
Post jump? Honestly, at that point my answers just fanwank something, since I'm somewhat disinclined to judge interactions between jumps. That being said, I would say probably, yes, since in canon Sagi shows off the ability to recover from and then bro it up with his own piece of Malpercio after becoming an Afterling. So... it's been done before in Canon is my answer, and the limitation is mostly there so as to actually make it a disadvantage. After the drawback is revoked, I'm not really inclined to care that it remain negative, since you could have just given it up and are only keeping it for RP reasons.

>Can Evolutionary Function also be gotten separately in universe, without having to buy it in jump?
Probably not, I think Albedo invented it for the Ultimetrix. I guess you could try to get him to make one for you.

>Can you get that Book of Spells item in jump too? I mean, it was in book case in Earth museum...
Go for it.

>Would any other Reverse engineering or tech knowledge perks from other jumps count as beyond human peak or that's enough? Would it allow one to basically not need the R&D perk?
Probably depending on what the perk is and if it is possible for an unmodified human to do. A lot of reverse engineering perks would probably turn off based on that qualification though. You would keep all your fancy knowledge, but you may or may not be able to build it depending on if you need the perk to do so do to skill or jump/law of physics stuff. You don't have to get R&D to learn how to build Ben 10 stuff, but you will have to learn it the hard way.

>Why is Anondite perk only discounted to, you know, Tennysons?
It's a reference to how Gwen and Ben have an Anodite grandmother and that's why Gwen can use magic. In fact, it might be the only time that Anodites even do come up.

>>48350532
>First off, would a Pillar Men form look like a Pillar Man version of Ben, or like the Pillar Man whose DNA I took, like Kars or Whammu?
It would look like the Pillar Man who's DNA you took.

I've never played Bloodborne, but probably only if they have mental issues themselves.

>Thirdly, if I gave Ben NGE Angel DNA, would the Omnitrix be able to handle that, given their...unique physiology?
The Omnitrix would be able to handle Angel DNA no problem.

Yes you can purchase Anodite despite Ectonurite's having no life force. Who cares if it doesn't make a whole lot of sense, this is Jumpchain we're talking about. Also Anodite is unaffected by the Evolutionary Function because they don't have the proper DNA to make use of it. Why? I don't know.

Okay, need some help brainstorming an item/location for Moon Hunters. I'm doing the sort of thing Fall From Heaven did where you can buy landmarks to follow you to other jumps, based on the landmarks in the game that are important enough to get their own map locations. Most of them aren't too hard to think of what benefits you'd get from having them based on the in-game lore (runes carved on the World Tree's bark offering protection, conferring with the ghosts at Tyrant's End for wisdom, harvesting magic salt from the Once-Ocean, etc.) but I'm having trouble thinking of what to do for the Bridge of Heaven. It's pretty much just a big bridge stretching between two mountains that's really inspiring to look at. There's not much interesting that happens in its location, it's just "hey, cool bridge, I wonder who made that?" and nothing else. How do I make that into something that a jumper is going to want to buy?

Interesting about evolutionary function on Zz'skayr. I assume if I do it through Omnitrix or such, once it times out Zz'skayr loses his "Ultimate" experience?

Actually, can one just use Evolutionary function to PERMAMENTLY upgrade life forms or it is never permanent?

I assume I can get the Amojo knowledge and skills the hard way in jump?

Well, that'll be interesting. I wonder what she'll do with all that?

Sorry, Miho, but I don't have a lot of charisma perks to give you. It seems like you'll still be socially awkward to start.
But I have minion loyalty perks, so at least everyone who works under you will be happy to do it!

Anyway, I mostly stay in the hangar fixing tanks. I can still read books on how to do stuff, so that's good.
Miho & I can bond over how cute Boko is. I'm still cute, so I'll have lots of platonic friends.

And then I'll install cameras in everyone's rooms.
>>
>>48351308
That could work, I suppose. Like you're inspired by its construction and that helps you make other large things. Yeah, I like that. Fits with it being the Spellblade-discounted location, too. Every background gets a discount to the location corresponding to which of the Moon Tribes they're from. The Spellblade is from the High Tribe, which are the best engineers and craftsmen among the tribes. Though not the best scientists, that's the Celestin. The Ritualist background is going to be fun to write, it's going to deal with themes that I know a lot of jumpers like. They're all about warping space and time through advanced mathematics, that seems to be a popular idea around here.

Oh, for reference, the backgrounds are:

>Drop In: Based on the Sun Cult, in the tradition of Drop Ins having villain powers (though the Sun Cultist class is unlockable). Themed around fire magic and the trappings of civilization.

>Witch: From the Dustwalker people of the desert. Themed around blood magic and divination.

>Spellblade: From the High Tribes of the mountains. Themed around craftsmanship and harassing their inner energies, sort of like a monk.

>Druid: Wolf Clan of the cedar forests. Shapeshifting and "natural transformation" (like seed to tree or wood to rotted loam).

>Ritualist: The Celestin nomads of the river valley. Hyper-advanced math (which grants them divination similar to but distinct to the witch's) and warping space.

There's actually a sixth class in the game, the Songstress, who's unlockable like the Sun Cultist is. But Songstress is a really underwhelming class to play and their themes are a generic "representative of all the tribes" concept that doesn't leave them with anything really distinct. So I'm just leaving them out, you're not missing anything.

Waifu Get! This is a pretty weird relationship, because on a practical level it works for both of us to have him as a companion. I want a criminal. I want someone who will smuggle shit my companions don't want on the LoT and Kerykeion to it. I want someone who is willing to pawn the Escafil Device for a quick buck to the highest paying customer. I want someone to introduce a stronger anti-establishment base onto the ship because as it is the people are often without recourse when they want to just say "Fuck it" to the rules. Now there recourse is someone who will do damn near anything for a quick buck. Argit's benefit is that we just keep producing technology and he's a tech-dealer, and he holds a massive amount of power in the Jumpland's small criminal underworld. He becomes a very well-defended big ship in a small pond.

That part of the thing is a win-win-"Dude, why?" for him-me-my companions, respectively. I want an agitator, he wants money, they want to maintain control of their societal bubble of happiness.

I think the logic is that it's a yuribait series, so for everyone to be off in their own couplings while you're left out is fitting, even if it makes drama as your sempai goes off to kiss some other girl instead of noticing you. Possibly even because of that, not just in spite of it. I don't really care one way or the other about it, please don't drag me into an argument, I'm just trying to explain the logic.
>>
>>48351719
>So... what.
Those generally are pretty frowned upon, Spongebob is considered anathema because of it.

>>48351723
I don't think yuribait is infamous for having previous relationships literally be broken up by cheating, though. That's really the egregious part.
>>
>>48351657
I'm not in a relationship with any of my companions.

I don't really do the waifu thing and I actually find the idea of it kindof boring.

So, honestly, it's basically free points for me.

>>48351644
I don't... THINK cuteness counts.
I mean, regardless of what NGNL has to say on the matter, I don't think that's a suitable inspirational cause for a commanding.
I would think that would fall under the purview of appearance perks, which are noticeably NOT mentioned. So I should still be just as cute.

But Miho has all my scifi and medical knowledge perks, so it evens out.
Plus, I'll be super loyal to Miho! So, if anyone starts following me around, that automatically means they'll follow Miho, too.
>>
>>48351739
You're not, which is why I didn't question you taking it so much as I did that it existed.
>>
>>48351733
If it didn't break up your prior relationships, it wouldn't actually do anything, seeing as it's a "you're left out, everyone's found love but you and they're all annoying about it" drawback.

So either the drawback induces infidelity, it does literally nothing, or it just doesn't exist. Pick your poison, they're all dull anyway.
>>
>>48351787
It could actually be tweaked to have them lose romantic interest in you for the jump, which I've seen a few times in drawbacks. That way it does the whole "You're not allowed love." thing without necessarily mindwarping your companions into infidelity.
>>
>>48351796
And that iteration is still going to piss someone off.

Really, just remove the fucking drawback from the jump.
>>
Excuse me, Overlord LN question here. The Demon Race says that our morality has to be capital E Evil, that our thoughts will be constantly on it. Does that mean the EVIL drawback is required, because that sounds very similar. It doesn't explicitly say that it's required, but I'm not sure.
>>
>>48351809
I've never seen anyone complain about that drawback before, the few times I've seen it, so I have my doubts.

I'm working on an update to the Kairos jump and here are all the changes made so far.
-Corrected a typo or two I managed to catch
-Upped the drawback cap
-added some new lower tier drawbacks and drawbacks that give a small bonus to thematically specific backgrounds
-reworked the import option to be cheaper for those with fewer companions. 8 for 400, 4 for 200, 2 for 100
-upped the points given on the last two drawbacks 600 because I was silly in not realizing how truly dangerous those drawbacks were
-added a note about Kings Blood

But before I finalize all the changes and upload it here for further scrutiny. I need to ask. I've been thinking of removing the restrictions on the two 500cp racial perks and I was wondering if you wouldn't mind if I reverted it back to what it was originally as discounts instead rather than exclusives.

May I ask if the Not Your Story scenario in Girls und Panzer affects knowledge/intelligence/ Military Skills you've gained via study or training, powers that aren't perks, or items that boost "wisdom, intelligence, piloting skills, leadership skills, charisma, or strategic/tactical ability or knowledge…" ?

On a smaller scale, though, it's not what one would describe as "happy" so much as... satisfying. Argit is in it for the combination of physical security, comfort, pleasure, intimacy, and it does something to feed into his ego. He has a sincere need to be appreciated, and understood, and I have a bad habit of trying to do those things regardless of whether I'll like the answer. I mean, he becomes less of a sociopath over the course of the show, and I did take steps to improve him into "Community Criminal You'd Want As Your Mayor"

I get to be a little wild, and a little miserable, and a little angry, and a little happy, and basically just my slightly unstable self. Which is weirdly great. It's not all peace and good times, but it is fun.

The actual adventures themselves are pretty great. I told Grandpa Max the second Ben found the Omnitrix that my brothers and I were aliens from another universe that were written in to join his family. His third son wasn't in the original timeline, but came about as a convenient way to get us in, and that the one who did that has sent numerous enemies against us for her own entertainment. That went over like a lead balloon, but didn't really leave him any options, considering we were still his grandkids, there was a rogue plumber group he needed to know more about, and the more help he could get with the omnitrix, the better.

Once the summer was over, though, I told this jump's parents everything, and in the end they just sort of adjusted. I still had to get used to my kids calling other people "Dad", though. And had to rescue the parents from a few attempts by the villains to abduct them and use them as bait to kill me. Twentytwenty even killed one of them in front of me and Grandpa Max, so I had to use Franken Fran doctoring to bring her back. That hurt a lot more than I thought it would, actually.

And I stole the Annihilaarg to prevent universal destruction by just shoving the thing in my warehouse and not touching.

So, anyway, looking at that new Overlord update has suddenly made the Player path look a LOT more appealing. Sure, I won't have the raw strength I would have as a Local, with Level 100, Dragonoid, and Realm of Heroes, but it's more strategically viable. I'll get Level 100, Dragonoid, two companions, and plenty of backup and support for free. I can then buy the full Warrior perk tree, as well as Monk and Defense Orientated to combine with Damage Orientated for a overall physical nightmare, and Golden Mind to become a tactical genius. That'll make the Rival Guild fight easier, maybe not a cake walk but definitely do able. I mean, the Local path is fine, but I really want the full tree, Monk, and Defense Orientated, and as much as I want the Innate Talents I know taking the 600cp drawbacks plus Powerless is suicide. I read that suggestion. i don't see how that is even remotely different than what I already have. Either way, the DB is messing with your companions' heads and feelings. But at least they'll be happy, while you'll be miserable (but with your CP). Personally, I feel that if someone gets off on NTR or Cuckoldry, then this isn't a DB and they shouldn't take it. I've no problem with people taking DBs they don't think will phase them... they're wrong, IMO, DB's always hurt. If they didn't, they wouldn't be DB's. But it's only fetish if you think it's fetish, and it's only cheating if you say it is. Otherwise, you break up, they find someone new for a few years, maybe you get back together after the jump is over. you're all largely immortal adults, it would almost certainly happen anyway every few decades. If you don't want it, feel free not to take it.

But what I said earlier applies, drawbacks like this that add your fetish to jumps is generally considered wrong. Again, Spongebob is widely reviled for it. A small change could prevent the same for you.

Erwin wasn't a Nazi.
He participated in an assassination attempt against Hitler.
It was unfortunately botched and Hitler made him commit suicide to save face and his family.
All of his enemies thought very highly of him, and considered him an honorable man.

This is the danger of Fascism, it makes good men support evil ones. But Rommel was one of the few that tried to set it right.

Changeling the Lost, Kerbal Space Program, and NGNL have drawbacks that can be construed the same way, and in fact Changeling had a shitstorm where the Fetch was mandatory instead of an optional drawback.

Actually I don't disagree with you on spongebob. And no, I don't have the time or patience to defend something to "spite" someone over the 'net.

I'm defending it because I feel it's fitting for the setting, which yes-does occasionally feature schoolgirls joke-complaining over all their friends getting some while they're not. Frankly I didn't expect you to have a coherent response to that.

This one is right.

This is the problem with history, it can be clouded and lead to mistaken presumptions.

I am aware Rommel wasn't a Nazi. Though his participation in operation Valkyrie is suspect. Regardless, he wasn't the best of human beings, but I didn't know him personally, so I can only repect him as a commander, not as somone who opposed the Nazi's because, at the end, he was still a german nationalist who felt allowing the Nazi's to stay in power was better than the alternatives.

I can't remember any and wanted to call attention to your post with a ploy.
>>
>>48352301
No clue about Changeling, but Kerbal Space Program has the Shortstack Drawback, and NGNL has the Perk that forces you to fall in love.
>>
>>48352279
>which yes-does occasionally feature schoolgirls joke-complaining over all their friends getting some while they're not
I'm not criticizing that part. What I'm talking about is the one where any lovers you had actively cheat on you with someone else. I'm fairly certain that is not an element of Girls und Panzer.

>>48352316
Oh, I thought he was referring specifically to the issue with this drawback.

As far as Kerbal, I don't know anything about the game so I can't opine, but in NGNL I'm pretty sure there was a canon bet that involved forcing someone to fall in love. In that sense, the drawback is entirely reflective of the setting.
>>
>>48352316
I think the Changeling one is referring to the existence of the Fetch, the thing that impersonates you (and sometimes doesn't know that it's a fake) while you're gone. That's mandatory, so you can argue that if your backstory has any romantic interests you're being NTR'd by your Fetch while you're stuck in Arcadia. But that's perfectly in tone with Changeling, since "being a Changeling really, really sucks" is kind of the game's major theme.
>>
>>48352301
Then you're picking and choosing.

>Changeling the Lost: Fetch'd (I can go back and grab the archive that showed the entire NTR shitstorm for that)
>Kerbal Space Program: Green Alien Space Babes
>NGNL: I Got Needs (permanently aroused), Rule Six (Forces you to love someone else)
>>
>>48352338
Wasn't that changed to be optional in an update?

Morever, the wording on how your companions interact with it is very vague, no specifics. I remember Elona himself saying they would probably sense something off about them immediately and thus not go that far. This drawback on the other hand makes it an absolute, no real wiggle room for your story.

>>48352344
See >>48352332
And the above, in addition to this "I Got Needs" is also based on something canon.
>>
>>48352359
And?

Under the definition of "fetish shit," that certainly qualifies. No picking and choosing, anon.
>>
>>48352359
Yeah, it was changed to be optional, despite it not making sense, just to get people to shut up about it.

>>48352368
The conversation was about "fetish shit" that didn't fit the setting, anon. Which makes Green-Skinned Space Babes the only one relevant.
>>
>>48352368
And you are intentionally ignoring one of the two parts of my argument here. The part about it not being suited to the setting.

I was. Nobody was making the claim that there wasn't an argument. However, the idea that his opinion and stance could ONLY be the product of a reactionary response is entirely unsubstantiated. You can't guess at his thought process or place in time when his opinion formed without better evidence.
>>
>>48352383
No, it made sense. I'd forgotten that not everyone got a fetch in setting because every chronicle I'd run had the players dealing with their fetches, and Manyfist pointed out that whether or not a changeling got a fetch depended on the whims of their keeper. So, in the end it worked out.

>>48352392
Also true. The cuckolding business seems fairly minor to me, because there were a few ways out of it. Like abilities that see through illusions, or the fact that your fetch is missing part of your personality and that may include sex drive or interest in your waifu, or what interests your waifu in you, and that it didn't have the charisma perks, or any of your perks, to make up for that.

> DB's always hurt. If they didn't, they wouldn't be DB's.
Well. At the risk of getting blogposty, as I said, I'm not in any kind of relationship with my companions, so that whole thing isn't really a problem for me.
I still think the drawback would hurt, but mostly just because of being mixed with my own issues.

I basically don't feel romantic attraction. And I'm also not really interested in any kind of physical relationship. I prefer just normal friendships and hanging out. I'm still kindof a pervert, but it's a self-contained thing. I've read some weird fanfics.
I am, like, basically PG-Rated Creepy Fangirl: The Person. You know that person? I am that person.

But I still feel crummy, or left out, or jealous when people around me start talking about their relationships, because it's something I can't really have or relate to.
And we place a lot of emphasis on romantic relationships, so it kindof reminds me that, "Hey, you don't work right. There's something wrong with you." And that totally blows.
So I get at least ten years of that shit, or however much longer it takes Miho to become head of a school or whatever. So that's GREAT.

So, it hurts for me. But I don't... think it really works for me the way it works for other people.
And I'm not able to really get the full impact of how it works for other people.

I'm sorry I caused this discussion.
>>
>>48352487
It isn't in any way your fault, this should have been discussed regardless and probably would have been if someone else took it or when someone else objected after reading the jump.
>>
So, are we keeping the Heroes jump or not?

>>
>>48352436
>Wird Vollgas gegeben und ran an den Feind!
Part of the lyrics from Pazerlied, pretty much meaning full speed and charge the enemy.
>>
>>48352457
I didn't even think of cuckolding when building the jump, and I only noticed it due to one guy in the thread pointing it out. I offered some of the stated solutions, and he pointed out that True Sight or something should work, and I went "Yeah, okay", to which the person's response was that I had to remove the fetch from the Drop-In origin entirely. I didn't want to lopside the Drop-In origin too much, so I said no, to which they replied that I was trying to make a special snowflake setting, and it went on for a bit where I had to edit and add notes about ways around getting cucked by a chunk of your soul attached to some twigs, and it was never good enough because ???, and Manyfist pointed out that it was optional, so we went with that.

So, in response to thread reaction. Without thread reaction, I wouldn't even have been aware of the problem.

Path Perks: Dowsing, Death Sight (-100), Biokinesis (-400), Psychic Healing, Plant Empathy, Aura Reading (-300)
Items: The Core Rulebook, Zener Cards
Drawbacks: What I Was Doing Before, Wanderlust (+100)

247 Jumps and over 12000 years and my first thought: Will the Lady of the Golden Wing still be coming for us? I handed out hidefruit to Chimmy, Roberta, and Falco. Everyone else was a bit confused when we handed out the cold iron knives. The Red Badge may still be gunning for us as well, even if we look totally different. At least now they aren't drawback enforced.

I wasn't intending on staying too long in one place anyway, because I am naturally prone to wanderlust, but it's not usually this extreme. This is 130,000 miles over the course of a jump, at the least. Five times the circumference of the Earth. It's not really that big a problem for my companions that live on space ships. I live out of motels and spend my time freaking out over every doorway. I don't sleep. Trods are everywhere and I close them if there aren't any signs of changelings living nearby. I don't worry too much about the other splats, except maybe to kill vampires as convenient. I'll occasionally spot one just chilling on the side of the road and light them on fire using Pyrokinesis or magic for funsies.

To make money, I offer healing services. Street corner performances or registering for a booth at a county fair if it's more than a week and 250 miles away. I can also perform exorcisms, and I get to meet a lot of interesting people that way. Usually, it's just people looking for validation in their weird belief, but I can still solve ghost issues when people bother coming to me over it.

>>
>>48353280
It is a fair point, though. You're not supposed to like drawbacks. They're supposed to be ten years of concentrated suck for infinity of spread out superpowers.
>>
>>48353280
If that's the case, then all drawbacks should just give free cp because I don't like any of the actual consequences behind them.

What makes them drawbacks is that they're shitty. You shouldn't want to take them. They should be punishing. If they aren't then they are just free points.
>>
>>48353288
You're not, no, but it's a false dichotomy here, because nobody is arguing that the drawback shouldn't be unfortunate, and are even trying to keep it in the spirit of what was intended, they're just taking issue with an aspect of it that's not vital to it's function. The idea that it's either listen to complaints and make it toothless or to do nothing is a false one.

Plus as you can see from >>48353297 , he's just using hyperbole to try and get salt out of people.
>>
>>48353303
Except, the point is that you don't like it. You want it changed, don't you, because you take issue with an aspect of it, right? Then that means it's a good drawback, because it bothers you and you don't want to deal with that aspect.

Taking away the part of the drawback that bothers you so you can take it with a clear heart makes it toothless.
>>
>>48353316
If you'll read, you'll see that the intent of the drawback (being left out of romance) can be achieved without involving cheating. People don't like being in the lonely hearts club. You keep insisting that the only way to be miserable alone is if you're being actively cheated on, which doesn't make any sense.
>>
>>48353297
>You shouldn't want to take them.
No, you should be torn on whether or not to take them, because the points are worth the suffering. If they're just not worth taking, they may as well not be there. As it is, you either don't have companion waifus or don't mind being NTR'd, and don't suffer much taking it, or do have companion waifus you don't want being NTR'd and won't take the drawback. Not being able to romance your waifu for 10 years but also not automatically being NTR'd would be a painful but worthwhile drawback, one that you'd actually have to work against to make sure they don't get into relationships with others even if they aren't with you, instead of that just being an inevitablity.
>>
>>48353297
So what anon is arguing is that all jumps should have a cuck drawback.
>>
>>48353327
No, but you seem to care a lot about that specific aspect more than anything else, so it's obviously the only prat of it that really bothers you.
>>
>>48353337
Then you are arguing specifically to spite me and not for the sake of a general quality drawback? That's even more petty.

But no, I actually wouldn't take it even if you removed that fetish aspect.
>>
>>48353235
Please don't bend over backwards to satisfy anons that just want to get out of the actual consequences for taking a drawback so they can get free CP.
>>
>>48353359
Anon, please don't ignore everyone responding to you just to samefag at the author. If you can't counter their arguments, then you should just concede instead.
>>
>>48353347
Anon, drawbacks exist to make you suffer for points. If you don't mind the suffering presented by a drawback, it's just free points. So, it stands to reason, drawbacks should actively spite you as much as possible.
>>
>>48353373
We're talking about your argument here, not the drawback. As far as that goes, you'll see the second part of my post where I point out to you that I wouldn't take it even if the suggested changes were made.

>>48353373
I doubt this post will stop the argument, but it's getting cyclical at this point.

The jumpmaker said that the drawback is intended to make you feel lonely. Currently it /also/ makes people cheat.

The Anon you are arguing with has asked the jumpmaker if it could be changed to just do what the jumpmaker said it is meant to do.

At this point they should stop and wait for feedback from the jumpmaker.

I get where you are coming from, but a drawback being unpleasant shouldn't be the only criteria. They should fit the setting, such as not having a drawback that makes Superman come for your head in Marvel. They should also be appropriate for the setting, and here I'll point you at Spongebob and the drawback that shouldn't be there, even tit is unpleasant.
>>
>>48353430
Even though it is s unpleasant*
>>
>>48353409
>The problem with that is that means you have someone with whom to share your misery and aloneness
What makes you say that? They don't have any enforced misery clause there, so that's not necessarily an element for them.

As I've pointed out above, it's really fetishy because of this, doesn't fit the setting (since when is cheating part of Girls und Panzer?). It might be best to just put in something else if you really cannot justify this drawback unless it mindrapes companions into cheating.
>>
>>48353414
Real penis, fake penis, same thing
>>
>>48353409
People just want to make the drawback less painful so they feel better about taking it because they're munchkins and will do or say anything to get more power freely. They don't actually care about making the drawback more fitting to the setting, and even if they do, their position has no credibility due to their own self-bias.

Make it worse for them.
>>
>>48353396
Great Picture.

I'm not ignoring the debate, I just don't really see the issue. feel free to interpret it as being cheated on. feel free to interpret it as your relationship falls apart and your waifu finds someone new and you feel miserable. or don't take it. as it stands I think it's worth the points. if I change the emotional resonance, I think It would lost value. I can see people's problem with it... it's not meant to be an easy thing to do. And honestly, if you do take it I'd expect your waifus to get pretty pissed at you. I'd also like to, and this isn't meant to be accusatory (since most of you are anons and I have no idea about your backstory), but merely to point out the humor of arguing against the members of your harems (be honest, how many of you have harems?) are potentially getting into what are, in all likelihood, LUG relationships?

B-because that's how it works, right?
It's like Fire Emblem?
>>
>>48353409
desu you're married to it to the point where I'm getting a little suspicious that it might actually be your fetish.
>>
>>48353462
>Don't listen to their argument because I can construct a strawman of them to attack. See? Watch me do it!
>>
>>48353463
>I just don't see the issue
Aren't you like, actually married? I find it hard to believe you don't understand the idea of people not liking a drawback that forces a spouse to cheat.

I also don't think it's related to the oft ignored part of the argument that the drawback just plain does not fit in Girls und Panzer, at least not the cheating portion of it.
>>
>>48353445
OTOH, there's a lot of drawbacks that are basically mindrape, anon. Like every single "suddenly all the big guns in the setting, no matter what they'd normally do, are gunning for the jumper" drawback in so very many jumps ever.
>>
>>48353466
I think you're just projecting.
>>
>>48353485
That's not really the point and you know it, you just need to be contrary for its own sake.
>>
>>48351688
>I think we all know who's responsible.
>>48352237
>I'm jewish

You can't make this shit up
>>
>>48353492
Yeah, if someone really wanted to they could spin that one pretty good.
>>
>>48353496
It would be completely counter productive to do so.

I just though it was funny.

There are plenty of other drawbacks, I don't see the big deal.
>>
>>48353445
I do not see it as fetishy. I don't see it as cheating. I think that's your interpretation, and while it may fit your worldview, it certainly doesn't fit mine.

as for what fits the setting... have you read Motto Love Love? it's... a little on the depraved side at times.
>>48353483
Yes, I am married... and thus I would not take the drawback. I would also, if taking such a drawback even if I were not married, consult my companions about the possible ramifications first.

>>48353492
It is perfectly possible to respect someone's skill at one thing and dislike them personally. I fail to see your point.
>>
>>48353509
It's a drawback that doesn't fit the setting and is fetishistic in a way that this thread does not normally accept (see Spongebob again)
>>
>>48353509
Anonymous has zero self esteem and is obsessed with the concept of infidelity.
>>
>>48353483
Because that part of the argument honestly has less weight than air, coming from anon defending the position that a drawback should become less painful, and plenty of drawbacks in jumpchain that are just as suited and liable more so to the argument that nobody has a problem with.
>>
>>48353517
It does fit the setting, though. It's a /u/shit anime, and /u/shit is known for everyone being paired with everyone. We regularly use memes about a Jump as drawbacks for that Jump.
>>
>>48353515
>I do not see it as fetishy.
But it is someone's fetish, and being out of place it feels that way.

>I don't see it as cheating.
You do not see your spouse sleeping with someone else as cheating?

>>48353524
This argument holds ground on CYOA gen where some anon is paranoid his waifu will sleep around on him for no reason, but it doesn't really work here where it actually happens.
>>
>>48353515
The drawback is fine. Honestly, I think you're being baited and you're better off just not engaging on it anymore.
>>
>>48353538
Yes. Nobody minds the pairing aspect of the drawback, only the cheating one, this side is the one that does not fit.

>>48353542
It's kinda hard to have honest discourse with people like you around who only care about spiting others, honestly. Though of course that's your goal.

Do you even care about jumps at all, I wonder?
>>
>>48353539
>But it is someone's fetish
That is a can be applied to literally anything.
>>
>>48353550
The alternative is that characters don't get paired up, which means it's not a /u/shit drawback. Only Worst Girl (you) don't get paired.
>>
>>48353517
From what I've gathered it's a yuri setting with tanks. Slice of life enough to make relationships a meaningful part of the content. Therefore locking you out of that does seem fitting to me in the context of drawbacks. It's a drawback so if you don't like it you don't have to take it. I think the issue has been exaggerated somewhat as I fail to see a major issue, given it is not mandatory.
>>
>>48353491
Not that anon. More that I just find the arguments against it ironic. Oh noes there's a drawback that makes my waifu cheat on me. Uh, it's a +300 drawback, making the jumper's life suck is kind of the whole point?

Also, if a jumper takes that drawback and as a result their waifu finds love in someone else's arms, jumper is the one who told jump-chan "sure go ahead and mindrape my waifu". I mean, seriously, drawbacks that mess with people's minds are a dime a dozen in the chain, what did jumper expect to happen?
>>
>>48353515
>I fail to see your point.

"I wonder who's responsible" with the implication that it's the Jews is a meme
see also "Jews did 9/11" and "Kikery"

I just thought it was funny you turned out to be Jewish.

>>48353517
Implied female bonding is a thing in /u/shit
>>
>>48353550
Oh yeah, this guy's baiting, it's way too obvious from this post.
>>
>>48353560
The caveat is that it only feels that way because of how it is being inserted into a setting contrary to its tone.

>>48353562
Nobody is arguing for the other characters not to be paired.

>>48353564
See >>48353550

>>48353566
See the arguments about it breaking the tone of the setting.

There can be arguments made about purely sadistic drawbacks, but they're not really worth having right now. Also, it/s +200.
>>
>>48353539
Everything is someone's fetish. and where there are relationships, there is infidelity... especially in high school and college. And yes, if my husband slept with someone else without telling me first, I'd get damned pissed off. But this isn't that. The DB means that both you and them know this is coming. It's not cheating if you tell them, Go and have fun, I'll just count the money. It's much closer to prostitution, with the Jumper as the really depressed pimp.

I don't this will solve... anything... but here's a suggested new text "No Yuri for You!: [+200] Everyone besides you will pair up romantically and be super duper annoyingly happy about it. You, on the other hand, will have a bit of a dry spell. As in nothing, for your entire stay. It’s not you, it’s them. And of course, all your friends will want to tell you all about their lovelives. Even companions you have a long term relationship with will, at the very least, drift away from you emotionally and are likely to find someone new. After the jump ends, the emotional distance ends, but it will be up to you to patch your relationship back together… especially since you effectively traded your relationship for points." You will note that this now has actual ramifications beyond the end of the jump.
