GAMES WORKSHOP HAS STOPPED SELLING HARDCOVERS.

Why?

Back when I played wh40k (1990s), everything was in softcover. I like it better, it takes up less space.

It costs them less money and people will still buy their crap anyways

That crap breaks faster than hard.

How do people treat their books? I've never had a single codex/army book fall apart on me, and I got ones from 3e 40k/5e WHFB onward. And I brought them with me when ever I went playing. These days I usually have them on my phone as well as a compact little booklet I've made myself containing all the stats and rules that my army has, so that I don't have to scroll through several books.

>he doesn't take his soft covers to kinkos to get them bound with front and back covers laminated

I remember my sixth edition Lizardmen codex fell apart pretty quick.

I was carrying it about all over though.

>Why?

GW doesn't make books, they buy them from someone else - and that takes money. Plus, they're still trying to think of a way to make all those surplus AoS LE hardcovers go away. Unlike the previous pouf, this New Guy seems capable of learning from mistakes.

hopefully he understands why the majority of the playerbase left with the shitshow AoS was and tries to salvage the old fantasy gamestyle. hopefully stealing massively from 9th age if not just hiring their main rules writers
