So for the seapeople, I was thinking that instead of being humans they'd just be straight up sahuagin. Another anon last thread complained that they were cthulu worshippers, but for me, that was exactly what I was trying to achieve with their fluff.

So basically the fish people/"sea devils" worship some "deep one" creature that lives, well, at the very deepest point of the world's ocean. It's impossible for any creature to reach that place due to the environmental hazards and sheer pressure. They worship this god because they believe it to be the creator of their species, and all the other ones that live in water as well. It doesn't matter if this is true or not, because due to Reality Is Perception, it is now. This creature is also responsible for ensuring that all suhuagin souls undergo the cycle of death and rebirth. When each one dies, a small piece of them is broken off to be added to a collection of sahuajin soul shards. When the god feels the time is right, it

it quickens the souls into what later become the sea creatures that the sahuajin have a "psychic" connection to. I haven't decided whether or not it should be telepathy or spirit-singing. The rest of the soul, in any case, is then thrown to be born as first sea plants, then once it has lived and died as each species, it becomes plankton, then some weak fish/clam etc, and so on hundreds of thousands, if not millions of times, to eventually reincarnate as the same sahuajin that died. In process of reincarnation, new sahuajin souls are born because the previous soul in its reincarnations, leaves a mark like a layer on each body. Each fish and plant of the sea undergoes this same ritual. As a result of this, sahuajin don't really think about death as a thing. It's just not something they fear.

That aside, another part of their relationship to their god is that as its creatures, they have the ability to shapeshift into any sea/ocean creature or combination of those.

It's in fact a very common hobby of the sahuajin to take on very strange forms in the hope that their god might notice and decide to create a species of that form. However despite the ability to otherwise freely shapeshift(shapeshifting major), they can only do so if what they are turning into lives only in bodies of water. This is the only condition, but it cannot be defied. This is due to their god's influence.

Lastly I was thinking of having them often take control of isolated islands in the oceans but I couldn't really figure out what use a people that live in cities underwater might have for isolated islands. It's not like they'd be able to live on them due to not being allowed to live on land either.

They're called "sea devils" because they often help their eldritch friends pull down ships. It's actually not well known that the humanoid(kind of) sahuajin are a thing. This is because they're often in their favorite species' or hobby forms when they're attacking.

That's bretty gud. I like the ideas and the fact that they have their own myths. But I'm not convinced the DLC needs really specific fluff. It gives us the building blocks and the tools to make a a magical world. It's good that it leaves it open to interpretation and imagination.
So your seadevils are great for your own burgeoning build. But not really necessary for the DLC itself imo. Although I guess if you do the same thing with a bunch of other races you'll have enough content to do your own cyoa/thingy.

In terms of looks, sahuajin are about three feet tall. Their skin colors change based on whim but they're typically some variant of literally ocean blue, green or sand-color. They also typically have jaws full of fangs when they're hunting, but use whatever else they might need eat something that requires more than just fangs, like seaweed. Lastly, there's no unified reproductive method. Like as not two sahuajin are reproducing like anglerfish, then there's also the fact that many don't even have genitals at all until they feel like breeding.

Yokai aren't the strongest, but they are among the hardest to kill. Probably THE hardest when considering the available abilities. Further, feeding is reasonably practical and doesn't cause any permanent harm (barring PTSD and the like). Yokai also get their item completely for free, which is a nice bonus.

Kitsune are the obvious choice from there. Nekomata aren't even liked by other Yokai and the other two present a rather unpleasant lifestyle.

Mirage is my primary means of feeding, provided Isolate isn't enough by itself to scare the pants off a human. Isolate prevents my feeding from being publicly noticed and Mirage means that I don't need to directly expose myself.

Seduce is probably the best way to deal with Others too stubborn to run from with Isolate. I was considering Banish, but it can't target everything and Isolate functions pretty similarly. Electrokinesis barely hurts anyone but humans. Thanks to the mirror and/or mirage I can pretty much seduce anyone and everyone capable of being aroused.

If I have to explain the warp mirror you are probably new to these threads. It's just a shame I can't alter my kitsune form with it.

Acheld, one thing note is that it seems to me like all the hostile species are the ones with interesting powers and behaviours, at least when it comes to how they'd interact with my build. The issue here is that I'd like to have most species hostile/mortal threat but I'd like to eventually be able to conquer them and build an empire. It explicitly says that that's impossible to build anything with them, but that's kinda lame. Some of us want to war against massive Ugrish hordes, you know? Kitsune has fox ears+tail by default. I've never actually heard of a kitsune with fangs+claws. Turning into a fox is common, but I don't think it's quite necessary.

How does that mean you are forced? The others don't trust your kind, but that doesn't mean they are actively trying to kill you, unlike the Dragon's version. Isolate should be more than enough to escape any major threats provided you don't go around making enemies.

Onmyodo is a fairly complicated magical tradition largely based on occultism and chinese philosophy, and Shinto is a religion practiced in certain parts of Japan. They're both fairly popular in the pop culture sense for being foreign and exotic but not overbearing, but you can bet that as long as people don't get a good grasp of who or what you are, it's not something you'll run into here in the West. You're honestly more likely to encounter an actual god than you are the reclusive weirdo that would be an accomplished onmyouji just feeding on people in the city, and that's more likely than running across a serious Shintoist.

Well, the cyoa says "anything that deals significant damage will turn you into a ghost for a year" - since banemetal doesn't fall under either Onmyodo magic or Shinto weapons, it shouldn't kill me. That, or there's inconsistencies since the Baneweapon says it can kill anyone you can beat in a battle.
(I really think it's OP as hell you can get a weapon that can kill every single race, right off the bat)

Our plans are... exactly the same. Except I would use Mirage on enemies first, and only resort to Isolate if necessary. I'd prefer to make them think I vanished, than make them pissed EVEN if I transport them to a nice, cozy room with a crackling fireplace.

The cyoa plainly says that "... there are very few Yokai in this area..." and "...your kind are not well trusted by the rest of the Others."
I'm not gonna take any chances whatsoever. Plus, the powers are really good for feeding, which is the important part. Seduction is the only power that isn't too useful to me, but my plan was to avoid enemy Others through it.
Even if there needs to be some initial attraction.

Input appreciated. As an anon in this chain said, I don't want to add a LOT of specifics to any given race, but as I mentioned last thread I'm aiming to have two "sea" races at the end of this. One will be fairly inhuman, sahuajin inspired as was mentioned, while the other are closer to mermen. How "evil" they are would depend on what hostility choice you make for them.

I would use Isolate to run more than to "banish".

The way I'm reading Isolate is a sort of mirror version of the area devoid of people except for those you pull into it. It's a good way to escape, simply step into your pocket dimension and leave 2 blocks up the street, up to 24 hours later.

It seems to me that the best way to survive as a Dragon is to take Jade with Leashed Wolf. Even super toughnes wouldn't save you in the long run when everyone in the city is after you and with Jade you at least can get yourself a pack of bodygurads who can fight for you and maybe act as your agents.

Alessia is an attempt at a non-combatant in this universe. Without spending a bunch of credits on armor and gear, most of it can safely be spent on 'I dont need no Governa's dalla!'. The following probably needs to have its autism-level reduced but, meh.

Born in Renaissance Italy, Alessia is a deeply religious girl who was raised Catholic, but after becoming a Traveller she realized there was so much more out there. She has joined the Church of our Lady, and quite soon after becoming a Traveller constructed her own shrine in gratitude to the spirit that helped her overcome difficulties and, being blind, her physical limitations. Despite repeated offers from Bio and Mech, Alessia has turned down all attempt to replace her eyes, considering limb and organ replacements an affront to the inherent divinity of the human flesh. Instead she has come to rely on her hearing, which since unlocking her latent magic abilities have become very sensitive, and through crude echolocation she can atleast avoid walking into walls. Unlike many other magicians though, she makes no attempt to wield the elements or perform telekinetic feats, instead she channels her magic through her instrument, being able to sound like there are more bows playing the strings than should be possible. During times of great emotional distress or resolute conviction any note she can imagine (provided she knows how to produce that note herself) can be summoned, leading to the illusion of supporting musicians, up to dozens of them, which she calls the Divine Orchestra.

While she herself is rather technologically inept, when presented with some glowy bullshit (HSDU) that was supposed to create a shield around her which was linked to the emotional state it protected, she understood she could use her musical talent to defuse hostilities and calm all the rage and anguish so prevalent in battlefields. If it doesnt work and the shield is about to fail, she activates the glowy bullshit destroyer (EMP) to atleast make sure they cant kill eachother using high tech weapons and then punches the Entangler to escape back to Ae. Will grieve for those tormented souls she were not able to calm until she gets a chance to redeem herself in her own mind. That said, she rarely if ever actually leaves Ae.

The Shrine of Everlasting Dawn.
An orphan from a family destroyed by political rivals, Alessia caught the eye of a patron spirit of Hope and Courage when she dared to keep hope alive in her heart even after assassins murdered her parents and blinded her during a beating. The spirit guided Alessias steps until she encountered Palastomius, who formally made her a Traveller, though Alessia never told her who really discovered who. In gratitude to Jagidierial, the Spirit of the Rising Sun, she used the signing bonus to construct a shrine to Hope and the belief that no matter how dark the hour, there is always hope, and in the end, there is light. All of Ae are welcome to pay their respects, pray for strength and guidance or simply to hear Alessia practice her cello, though none but a few believe that Alessia is in direct contact with the Spirit itself, if there is one. Currently the gateway to entering the shrine pocket dimension lies in the S.Grant Tavern in Simakalia, after an irresponsible Admin gave her ownership of the tavern when she had said she wanted to spread hope among those who needed it. "Start there", he said. Atleast the alcohol license is on the bartender.

I'll presume that this is the first legshark build submitted.

Natural Armor + Overclocked Iron Hide + Crab Plate = supreme protection from most shit that'd do her harm. Add the Natural Weapon reinforcement of her jaws that are enchanted with Vampirism, and she'll do heavy damage while healing herself. The Upgraded Healing Chip and Giant Maneater Plant might be overkill, but Dietlinde is a walking fortress.

Tech Eater is the holy grail of low-tech builds, so I took advantage of the initial Low-Tech Understanding that the build provides to get 600 free credits with Fuck Your Glowy Bullshit.

With Goldfish Retention, she's slow on the uptake and doesn't understand half the things her friends talk about. Not like it matters, since her job isn't to listen to the blabbermouths.

All the protection on her also means that she's a slow motherfucker who ain't winning any races. Faster opponents would be her bane, if they can cut through her hide.

Dietlinde is also one scary fish lady, able to intimidate with the best of them. But good luck trying to have her play anything other than bad cop.

I've found an amount of armored fish pictures, so I guess we can crop their heads and pretend they have legs.

Thanks, yours is good too. It's definitely the social specced build in the RPG party, but still has the capability to be a danger at mid-range. You might want to find a way to put at least one more point in agility, as you might be a little slow against combat specced supers, especially since, as team face, you could be targeted to damage team/organization morale and reputation.

The idea behind this one is that it's the result of a MegaCorp diversifying into the occult, coming in contact with chtonic forces of earth and underworld. Many potential uses - helps in finding and mining resources, gets access to the wisdom, council or more direct help from the underworld denizens, and bring back the dead.

Atlas is the result of the latter, a first succesfull attempt at creating a revenant empowered by the forces of Earth. Durable, strong, posable to control earth and to talk and command some underworld denizens, this was a resounding success, that proved annoyingly difficult to replicate.

Currently Atlas hold a post of a Regional Security and Supply Manager. In practice this means he is tasked with a section of Corps armed forces to protect some of it's more discreet projects, make expeditions into less hospitable parts of the Underworld, procure some assets that the Corp is interested in and enforce Corp's interests in certain conflicts with competitors.

The Corporation itself is not exactly malevolent. They are looking out for their profit, not aiming to cause Doomsday or conquer galaxy.

Stoic, taciturn, emotionless and outwardly obedient to the Corp's interests, very few people know that Atlas does have his own preferences, agenda, morals and some cunning. He accasionaly discreetly uses his personal powers, company information network and personal wage (no, embezzling is out of option) for good causes. Luckily, his position leaves him enough leaway to operate independently.

I won't be aiming for being actual boss in here, because i don't want to get into technical details of day to day running of the organisation and will be busy on actual frontlines. With my mind powers i would be monitoring members for traitors or persuing some kind of ulterior motives and choosing new people to recruit. Those powers would also help in judging the guilty, with shapeshifting and other powers i would be able to get close to them or interrogate their henchmen at least. We'll also try to gather allies among law enforecement to give us info. While i would be able to assasinate bad guys personally most hits would actually be carried out by the groups of convetional troops, loud and flashy, i will have my group too. It's not about being a Batman, it's about showing people that there are other people who stand for justice, normal people like them too, inspiring them to stand for themselves, while intimdating criminals at the same time. Can't kill all the drug dealers, but you kill one and nine will think twice before dealing again.

Setting up a team to find that asshole Duwall. Again the writefaggotry is turning out to be longer than expected, so might aswell post this already. Companions are selected on the basis of how much they can add to a scout/recon team. Myself, Arcu and Syg would do most of the actual investigating, while in combat, the Walking Tank and the deitykilling Behemoth will be take care of frontline assault and breaching, if stealth is no longer an option. I can go both short- and midrange with the M1911 and the Bozar aswell as provide long range fire support, because from the description, the Talde HD24 is .50 cal or even 20mm. (Hoping its the latter.) I have nearly all the gear I can think of that would aid me in an investigation. If I end up finding Duwall, that asshole, I'll use the Traveller's War-horn to call in the cavalry to make sure he gets out safely. Since I dont know where the journey will take me, I've shelled out the cash for a Tebulasi frigate, which should be very useful with its stealth drive.
