Cala's... Not great at the moment. It's hard to get just the right balance of devils, burn, and draw.

Next come up with an idea for a flake, and use the word tool on paint to type out all the fields where you actually write.

Once that's done, you get to the time consuming process of figuring out what spells and artifacts your flake uses, as well as character art. Character art is normally easy, since a lot of people end up already having an image in mind. Just copy and paste it, or open it from somewhere on your computer and drop it in the picture box. For spells, magic the gatherer is a god send. Use key terms or sets based around your homeplane to help refine where and what you're looking for. Copy and paste those images in your chosen field.

On the way to defend the city from the undead hordes, Igan’s regiment was set upon by the skaab known as Grimgrin- after only minutes, Igan was the only survivor. In a desperate battle against the undead behemoth, Igan once more let his full abilities loose, annihilating hundreds of yards of moorland. Exhausted, Igan dragged himself to Thraben, only to watch in wonderment as Avacyn was released, and be struck by the Cursemute wave, sending him through time and space alike. (As well as embedding a Temporal Mastery spell in his essence.)

Igan arrived in the past of Fiora during a parade honoring the still-alive King Brago, his fiery entrance being mistaken for an assassination attempt and getting him sent to the massive network of dungeons beneath the city. There, he befriended a young goblin living there by the name of Grenzo, and was responsible for keeping the future dungeon warden safe, and even building his powerbase. Actually, I'm still writing that aspect of his life, and it may take a while, but I'll just explain it now.

Essentially, Igan fills dead bodies with lava, animating them with half of the effort it takes to create an elemental. However, a body (with very few exceptions) is incapable of holding the tremendous heat of lava in, even if Igan were to magically add to its resistance. So he doesn't, very much, and instead, after a few minutes of use, his "zombies" violently explode in showers of lava that destroys or coats meters around. Because of this, his "zombies" aren't good for anything but combat- something he's very much fine with.

Yes, Flight Goldnight lives in the Engelturm: A church-fortress in the Elgaud Grounds, the upper levels of which are forbidden even to other angel flights.

No Flights frequent Stensia, it is the province with the weakest and fewest amounts of Avacynian wards, when angels spend even a few days in Stensia they become drastically weaker and weary. Though at least one Goldnight angel will accompany every group of Cathars deployed there until they arrive at the location they are to be stationed.

Heading out, so here's the cliffnotes version of Igan up to now:

Went back to original-flavor Mirrodin, fell in with a tribe of Vulshok and killed a Leveler, pulled the scythe out of its teeth. Kept travelling, but thanks to the Cursemute's power flaring up in him again, he was sent back to the past of Dominaria (probably responsible for one of those many, many rifts now) and ended up in HAMMERHEIM, NOT BOGARDAN, where he became pals with Bartel Runeaxe. Because of the Rift effect, he was yanked forward to Otaria in the time between Judgement and Onslaught, where he became a decently powerful Pit Fighter and got his first taste of real black magic since Innistrad, courtesy of the Cabal. Finally getting a handle on the Cursemute Power (attaining Temporal Mastery, if you will), he finally travelled back to his own time, showing up right smack dab in the middle of the EMN-era Innistrad, just as Emrakul got released. Seeing what happened to Gisela, Igan falls into despair, and communes with the Soul of Innistrad, his lavamancy taking on a necromantic edge, as explained a few posts back.

I have what I feel is a solid outline, Murdock, and they asked me for a timeline so I gave them one in very loose terms because that's what I do because that's how I can tell it in a more humorous manner, especially when I don't know what's going to happen exactly since I'd leave how Belagir ignites up to Gaia Anon.
Sarkhan was most likely able to time travel on Tarkir because the events surrounding Ugin's death caused a rift like the ones on Dominaria. Sarkhan safely traveled through it due to his spark while Sorin's guide was ripped apart when he got too close.

So perhaps Emrakul is only able to physically warp that which it considers an extension of itself, a 'target creature you control' clause to its magic if you will, rather than just 'target creature.'

One way of looking at it is digestion.
Entering the presence of Emrakul is like a foreign object being ingested by the body.
The process of being driven mad is the process of digestion and being broken down into your constituent parts.
Once you are insane, Emrakul has gotten everything useful out of you and what was left of your brain is heading towards the shitter.
At this point, the nutrients are delivered through the bloodstream to where they are needed, to put it in the most basic sense. Different items that are consumed provide different nutrition that go towards different areas and in a similar fashion, Emrakul corrupts different creatures in unique fashions for a variety of purposes. Some exist to propagate, others exist to fight 'outside' presence and some might act as the brains.

Digestion and the acquisition of nutrients from food is a nuanced process. 'Forcing' Emrakul's mutation would be similar to trying to skip digestion by injecting cake directly into your bloodstream.
