They both were, but only because Alpharius was split into two guys, meaning he could have been Mortarion/Vulkan level of toughness, as his alohas are consistently huge, even for an astartes.

I have looked up the latin for this, but I believe high-gothic isn't quite the same. I'd like something cool to write on the dreadnought's carapace.

Do you think this is too meme-y? It's a nod to the DoW series which is what got me into 40k/30k

Mk III is just Mk II with more armor plating bolted on, including the helmet. If you look at all the helmets that don't have a giant visor bolted on it to split the visor into two eyes, you'll notice it's the standard Mk II cyclops visor, such as in the first two top left helms.

The rest of them could technically be called Mk III.

I know at least 1 HQ 2 Troops is the very basic of the army building part, but which should I get? Praetor and Tacs or Breachers? Make the Praetor into a Warsmith for extra fluffyness?

if you don't have anything yet I'd wait until the new book hits so you can see if breachers and assault marines are usable, but for iron warriors I think it'd be more fluffy with tacs and a warsmith. probably aim for around 1500 to start with, look at the ROWs you want to use and get stuff that fits. While each legion has a flanderized thing that they do well Iron warriors DID have assault troops and jump units, as well as fast recon elements so there isn't really anything in the list that is unfluffy.

I'd go with either umbra or phobos bolters, the tigrus bolts are .70cal as compared to .75 on the two, and has smaller magazines. More and stronger dakka somehow fits the IW more to me. Just sharing my advice, your dudes in the end.

Tigrus is .60, Phobos .70. I gave all my dudes Godwyn bolters, because .75 caliber. Also terminators got storm bolters because I like the double-magazine look and the only two combi-bolters available for 30k terminators are based on the Tigrus and Phobos.

I'd drop the pistol and the Warsmith upgrade. Archaeotech pistols are good in a vacuum but not worth 20 points and the Warsmith upgrades are too expensive and probably won't get any use, plus you lose your warlord trait. Maybe even consider a Delegatus to save further points but it's up to you.

All legions used just about all the armour marks, it would have been stupid for them not to. MkII was the go-to suit during the crusade and even the speediest of sneaky legions would have had a use for the heavily armoured MkIII in situations like boarding action and raiding bunkers. MkIV was common enough. MkV-VII were much more limited, since V would have probably been used the most by legions that had suffered losses, MkVI prototype by legions that had been testing it prior to the Heresy and during the Heresy mostly by loyalists with traitors getting the most of their suits when Mars fell and their MkVI production was put in the use of the traitors. MkVII only by legions on Terra, where it began production after Mars fell.

MkII and VII are the only suits I haven't used in my legion.

Emp's sole defense was that no one could sabotage stuff they didn't know about, but gods are pretty much omniscient, and the palace was as secure as it could have been. I bet the walls themselves have Adamantium Will, deny on a 4+ and can't be penned on anything better than a 3+ and it still didn't stand a chance against Tzeench's sorcery with Magnus as a medium.

What's wrong with Emma? She's no Duncan, but she does alright. I like how she seems to do more sponge chipping in her videos for some reason, like the Death Guard one and the Ork Dreadnought. They both seem to have this kind of fake overly patient/helpful/friendly act going on, and turn out more or less similar results. Duncan's videos probably cover the most interesting techniques and kits while Emma gets stuck with the "whatever" ones, and she might just be there because muh diversity, but they could have done a lot worse. If her accent was toned down a little she'd be as good as anyone for introductory videos.
