Anor Londo (DS' city) has a very specific architecture due to the fact that giants used to live here. The palace is divided into a central hall/court/bedroom (giant sized), with human sized apartments on the right for functionaries. It is strangely fitting and just click the right way.

Giants very easily could fit in most settings. Obviously with a little flavor they can fit everywhere that fantasy creatures exist, it just requires a little extra. Some groups/stories tend to make giants out to be giant killers who eat people if given the chance, but if you make them out to essentially just be giant humans then they can fit in with some stipulations.

No civilization will willingly have accommodations for giants outside of back alley mixed race bars or such, and then just giant civilizations, purely because it requires more to build for them. This could either be in a form of shunning but it's just not practical to accommodate them everywhere. Imagine having a giant PC just standing outside while everyone goes into the nobles house for their quest, it's just going to be the downside to a race that can't enter the common establishment. Don't even think of dungeon delving unless the ancestors of the land were courteous to larger creatures.
They'd end up just being an annoying race to have along but they can be implement/used.
