How viable would jump pack heavy White Scars be? Since they all get Skilled Rider, they can jump into terrain and just perch on trees for cover, and i've been kicking the idea around because I like jump infantry more than I like bikes.

Achilles from Troy (2004) reminds me of Sanguinius a lot, especially in this scene for some reason. What do you guys think.

Sicarans are pretty awful anti air. If I were you I would drop either the Lerneans or the Gal Vorbak. I think having both is too much. With those points I would buy a Deredeo or Lightning with krakens depending on if you wanna play defense or offense.

How effective are assault marines? I've been thinking about starting an EC assault army the basic idea is

The chinese BFG ship I got from Irene had no noticeable release agent on it whatsoever. Some FW kits I've gotten were so coated in it that my hands got oily as soon as I touched the bits and they required several soapy washes to even become primeable.

It really varies, but it's always a safe bet to wash them at least once, rather than noticing paint chipping off while painting.

I'd wash it just to be safe, because I have gotten resin where even after a wash primer just slid off, and you can really feel the oil on many pieces.

If it feels clean to you, you can skip the washing, but it's hardly a waste of time when you can just dump them in a bucket of soapy water then rinse them off later and let them dry.

If you are the type of person who leaves fingerprints on his cell phone screen and other things, I wouldn't trust your sense of touch to identify oily resin pieces.

You've got the Nemean Revear and Endryd Haar for special characters, but the lack of RoW's can sometimes be a little hurtful, especially as wrought by war generally doesn't allow for as much customisation as Legion rules and a rite would.

Aside from that they aren't bad, marauders are better than tacticals but the lack of drop pods can hurt, as it's generally too expensive to be kitting out everyone with Anvillus' and Kharbydis'

There's rumours that the Tyranids were in our galaxy thousands of years before we encoutnered the first Hive Fleet, that these vanguard organisms were scouting our supple biomass for the rest of the Hive Mind.

And Necron Tomb-Worlds were still around in 30k, and some awoke to see the Great Crusade, it said so in the 5th edition Necron codex. IT's also entirely likely that some magos accidentally awoke a Tomb-World while excavating what he thought were the ruins of some long dead xenos species (before we bull-dozed them to make room for move hives).

Necrons could be the odd tomb world waking before its time and Tyranid being in the galaxy before 40k has always been a possibility. Genestealer cults are probably in the galaxy by the time of the great crusade gearing up for the coming of the Tyranid, like a whole hive world with genestealer hybrids.

RoW are more like the optional force org charts that come in codexes combined with the old abilities special characters used to have that let armies take certain units as troops or what have you, you know, the stuff that GW abandoned in favour of formations.

Try and win them over with logic, because a 30k army that is being denied Rites of War is kind of neutered.

There has always been theories that Tyranids may or may not have been in the galaxy before, the entire point of Nids is that they are this unknown force from the void thats come to consume all, the mystery that surrounds them is a key part of their character and its within the realm of possiblity in the fluff that some hive fleets could've arrived here before 40k. Genestealer cults are their own thing and easily fit into 30k, run them as Militia and you're golden.

Combined with the codex specific force orgs, yes.

The Rites don't mandate specific units in return for bonuses like a formation, they modify how your force can be formed.

The newer RItes are more formation like but the original ones like armoured assault, pride, and oribital are like I described. Maybe talk it out with them?

So far (aside from BaC) I'm planning to get a vindicator laser destroyer and a kheres contemptor mortis for AV, then run Horus with a unit of Justaerin and a Primus Medicae.
Then I have two units of terminators and a 20 man tac squad with extra CCW's for anti-infantry. Hopefully that works well for 2000pts.

I use to run breachers the same way minus the power axes. I use them as a wall to either block objectives or funnel squads into my tacts. If they get bogged down in melee a ranged unit would come in and thin out the enemies numbers so the power fist could take its toll.

I'm considering dropping the warders, having them a little more choppy isn't really worth the points I sink into the unit but I utilize them enough to justify the cost.
