So starting think i got a little carried away. Tried to stay kind of sort of maybe a little on model, though. I'm not sure i'm happy with the final product but this took like an hour and my eyes are starting to glaze over.

I actually had the idea to make those arms end in big spidery hands that clasped together to make a cage on it's back, but between the pencil tool and the angle i just couldn't get it to look good. Settled for holding a cage and pretty much gave up on trying to not be dark souls.

Yes. Worth noting, even if something doesn't get on a chart, there's a standing rule that free-standing 'wild' princesses can be slotted in place of any princess from the gen the card is made for. So nobody can stop you from making a card and then using it for your knight.

I'm interested in seeing how Mimic Princess would turn out. Seems like she'd be pretty hard to do, given that it's not even clear if she actually has a kingdom, and even if she has it'd probably be populated entirely by mimics.

I'd be tempted to try my hand in making thse as well. Would finally give me some place to stick these guys given we probably won't be doing anythign with the minions/enemies in the forseeable future.

Okay. Here's what I got as an idea so far...

Infantry #1

Shapeshifting infantry. Will have a skill essentially the same as warpwolf stalkers in that during their activation they will be able to mess with their stats or gain stealh and the like.

Infantry #2

Dooply ganger. If they hit an enemy infantry model of medium size or lower (not damage, but hit!) they'll be able to transform into that model. In addition to inheriting all the models stats and abilities, if the model/unit attacks the transformed model they'll have reduced hit and damage rolls.

Special

Not sure yet. Could use some ideas. It'd be nice if it had some sort of move to drag things closer though.

Heavy Support

Essentially Cankerworm. For anyone who doesn't play Warmachine that essentially means he'll be an extremely mobile, stealthed unit that can use the weapon of any creature it has destroyed.

Hey, gats here, would rather not keep people guessing about stuff so I'll try and explain things from my perspective so we don't have to crowd threads with unrelated drama (that shouldn't exist, really.)

I was contacted by Towerfag to work on his game, but after initially declining he explained himself further regarding the assets I'd be doing. I figured it'd be a quick thing, they weren't that hard to make, but he expressed his desire to include assets that were constructed for a different project. Regardless, I accepted the money and created/edited assets. At this point, multiple things happened - much less time on my hands, and not enough money from other jobs to justify continuing to work on the project. The nature of the assets themselves were also an issue - these weren't created for Towerfag's game, they were made for an existing project, and thinking upon it, something that was in poor taste to sell to someone else, and disrespectful to the person I had made them for. I refunded Towerfag in full, and later contacted him to remove the assets from his game. He was obviously hesitant with the idea, but eventually agreed to do so. 1/2

2/2 I've been told that my art, including art that he hadn't paid for, still remains within the files of the game, as well as on his patreon and his blog. I am unsure of what he plans to do with it. I hadn't mentioned his using of my other artwork (chibis, original chart art, etc.) at the time, though I honestly should've. The general rule of thumb regarding Towergirls projects is that if you want to profit from it, please don't steal my art. I don't mind that people make money from it, that was never the issue.

Towergirls is cool, because people have the freedom to do what they want with the universe. But in the end, the things that I literally draw legally belong to me. Towerfag continuing to use my art for advertisement purposes both on his blog and his patreon explicitly after explaining my stance on the issue isn't something I agree with.

In the end, I don't want to make a huge fuss about it, and I especially don't like airing out dirty laundry in public. But I hope this offers insight into how things are going. The conversation Towerfag is referring to is me telling him that he cannot legally use my art to promote his game, or within his game. I am not going to resort to slandering his conduct, his game, or his business model. This is honestly something that should be discussed in private, but at least this way, I can hopefully put to rest this discussion.

It's no problem, the end goal here is just to keep Towergirls as something people can enjoy. It's a small idea on a small part of the internet, there's no need to make this bigger than it is. When people decide to take advantage of that, that's something I cannot allow. I want to doubt that was the intention of anyone, but regardless.

On that lighter note is unfortunately a darker answer. I just don't have time to spend on projects at the moment. All my money goes to rent and food, so all my time goes towards making that money. Working on a project, or a game or whatever else would probably help with that, but you'd be bananas to dedicate work-time on projects that might not make it through. I can't complain though, I like the jobs that I have, which is more than one could ask for.

As someone with a little more knowledge of what's going on, to wrap things up because I honestly can't stand the drama, he did sell me the right to use the initial set + :
- different facial expressions for the initial set that DIDN'T exist at the time
- a new set of portraits (Angel Princess) he made from scratch for me

Then, after I used them for a couple weeks, working to implement everything in the game, using them for promotion, he took everything back for the reason he mentioned (except that same reason doesn't work for Angel Princess, lol)

I removed his pics from Patreon's homepage, I surely won't remove them from all the blog's posts and I'll replace them in due time in the game, I'm the damaged part here, not him.

I do agree that the "Infantry 1" unit could look more obviously mimic-y. Now he just looks like a regular knight with a fancy helmet, but making him look more obviously like either an animated armour or a mimic disguised as a knight would probably work better.
