Ok I have an Innistrad question because of something that I am planning to do. Will there be any fallback if I kill ALL of the vampires? I know the planeswalker who made that plane is a vampire but... well I took the 3 day king drawback and the siblings game drawback which I am planning to use them against each other to create a giant cluster fuck; escape and then hit everything with a holy nuclear bomb to erase all of my problems in one go.
However it sounds like Sorin probably will be a little pissed.

Thank you all. I've come to enjoy Jump-chain a whole hell of a lot since it started. Not just because of the game itself, but because of you all. Yeah sure sometimes we argue. But I love you all. And I think of you, as my friends.

Well again, here it the Last Exile jump update. Got eaten up during the shitfest.
>>
So, question for anyone who knows about this stuff: apparently, Fate servant can no sell modern weaponry, EXCEPT for nukes, because the Collective Unconscious believes they can destroy anything or something? How does that work in higher tech jumps? Does that mean in say, Star Wars, nukes wouldn't inflict any damage because people DON'T believe they can destroy anything or whatever? Or in a low tech world, a cannon can hurt me because people think it can? Like, how does this crap work?

In darkstalkers should I take the Boooorriiiinng drawback? I don't need the points. I really don't need another companion though I don't mind the idea of another companion.
>>
>>47946897
It doesn't change depending on the setting you are in. Also it's not that they no sell weapons, it's more that modern weapons don't do nearly as much damage to a servant as they do to other things. Besides the fact that servants can and do run around and even above the speed of sound, they can effectively outrun a great many explosives, but an explosive fireball is still a concern to some degree.

>believes they can destroy anything

That...sounds more like a specific Noble Phantasm than something common to call Servants.

As far as I know, the noselling of modern weaponry has more to do with Servants being spirits rather than completely physical entities.

Early Nasu lore postuled that actually, modern humans would eventually surpass the heroes of yore in pure combat capability through tech; by the time of Notes this has lead to artificial posthumans who can punch like nukes. Even in the modern Nasu era the True Magics are a good example of something only compatible with modern humans that can surpass the old systems. So to answer your question-it seems more that sufficiently high tech weapons that don't rely on conventional kinetic/thermal/poisonous damage could stand a chance of hurting Servants before accounting for Noble Phantasms.

>>47946830
Again, not an expert on this but as far as I know the vampire planeswalker being pissed is the only major problem, yeah. Nobody likes vampires. He doesn't even like vampires. I don't even remember why he set up the stupid balance of good and evil bullshit, other than maybe him liking Innistrad that way but wanting to be top dog and lord over his fellow leeches.

Reposting this from the last thread.

How do you handle a perk that renders others seemingly obsolete?

With [biosculpter] from Worm I can do anything with a touch that takes me 5+ perks to do with tech?

Why bother with [primal evolution] from Zerg if I can just touch something and copy/paste desirable traits at me leisure?
>>
>>47947101
It's that bullets and such aren't a concern, they can no sell bullets that aren't enhanced or modified with magic, and if a servant is caught in a building taken out by explosives, the building falling on them is likely to do more damage. As well an airstrike on a servant isn't likely to be fatal, but it's not something that they should just ignore.

But Man of the Spiral, I have the OOOs Driver.

>>47947168
eh, assume that they enhance each other in some way or another. Maybe they don't boost each others power, perhaps they boost your finesse or your eye for detail regarding the subject matter. Think of ways for them to interact that make sense.

That may be the single kindest, sweetest thing ever posted to this board.

I don't trust it for an instant.

Seriously though, it's nice to see something other than the same old shit posts at the start of a thread. You're doing the Harem Lord's work. May others be most excellent to you.
>>
>>47947168
Redundancy and completeness. Biosculptor is powerful, but ultimately limited in its knowledge of biology. Getting biotech perks adds to its knowledge base to make it more capable of dealing with truly exotic biologies. For example, Biosculptor is limited to "real" biology, so it couldn't do some of the weird things Zerg biology can like ablative anti-gravity brain tumors.

What CYOAs contain bat people? Not vampires.
>>
>>47947213
Conversely it makes my Jurassic Park perks kind of useless. Amy does everything those perks allow in canon.
>>
>>47947258
That's just how things work anon. Some perks in some jumps do things better then some perks in other jumps. We have 600+ jumps now, what do you expect? That every single perk is different from every other?

This is just something that happens. Sometimes you can work around it, sometimes you can't.

Arrow-verse: In order to take the Speedster perk, you have to take the "It Was Me Jumper" drawback. Apparently, no out-of-jump power or abilities can be used to defeat them. Does this mean I can't even use combat skills or training to defeat them or even natural intelligence? What about companions?

In order to make a plane stable it has to have balancing elements. Planeswalkers have tried in the past to make planes of only the kind of society they like, for instance there was an angel planeswalker who made a plane of all white mana. Unfortunately this kind of set up is inherently unstable and eventually falls into disrepair and then comes apart at its seams. I want to stress that the one who did this was an Old walker and not even she could pull it off without constant attention.

...yisssssssssssss.

-Background: Guild Member (800CP) -Fuck it. Let's fuck the status quo.
-Basic Piloting (Free) -A little something I guess.
-Basic Genetic Enhancement (Free) -AHA, I'M BETTER.
-Flight of Fancy (700CP) -Aaaand tech aesthetics is always nice.
-Promotion (500CP) -Man, who did I blackmail to get this.
-Flight Engineers (100CP) -Yaaaay, I get to learn a bunch of the setting tech!
-Archive (-200CP) -...and I know all of the Guild stuff too WHAT.
-Claudia (-300CP) -Good to have a supply here. Garden.
-Guild Uniform (Free) -Black uniforms are very nice.
-A Retracted Lightsaber (Free) -Huh. Neat.
-Starfish Ship (Free) -I'm just gonna reverse engineer this shit.
-Guild (0CP)
Dice Rolls: Antoray, 17 years old
-End Choice: Next Adventure

Okay one, how the fuck did a 17 year old get to the point of becoming a Guild Principal. No, seriously. How. AND an Archivist to boot. Fuckers deserved to get betrayed, that's what. Pic fucking related, probably did that on the way out. And oh look, Antoray's right there. And guess where the Silvana originated from?

Current plan: Try to ally with Alex Row and the Silvana crew, then RIDE THAT PLOT TRAIN ALL THE WAY TO THE FINISH LINE. Barring that, wait until the right moment and then conspire with the Antoray leadership for amnesty in exchange for being able to screw the Guild over utterly.

This was a nostalgia bomb for me. You bet your ass I'mma get involved.

>>
>>47947838
You could probably extend the range of things so it could copy almost any item (Won't work on abilities like Godhand for instance or living beings) and I'd say it's ultimately not going to go further then personal items, so weapons, armour or various magical rings or necklaces and so on sure, but things like vehicles or buildings no, but you wouldn't really be getting anything else from the boost to EX rank.

Well, you'd get some nice side effects like not having to pay extra mana for copying something that's a little outside your purview like how Archer has to to do anything but swords but overall you'd still have the rest of the limits UBW would have.
>>
>>47947799
I'm going to spoiler this because it contains spoilers for der film and series.

MEXT is pretty much the Japanese equal to the Department of Education. In the GuP-verse it's similar but with slightly more power. One guy in particular, I think he was some big shot in MEXT, had a hate-boner for the MC school, and wanted to shut it down. Because reasons. And long story short, he's a cheating cheater who cheats and is also a cocksucker.
>>

Yes, it's always 8 companions plus whoever you have in pods. If you put companions in pods they get to be active.

Nope. Well not really anyway.

Main companion is a bloke entirely because it becomes a little more difficult to do whatever you like every jump if you've got a wife with you all the time.

Eventually picked up Heather from VtMB but she's really more of a PA/high priestess in the cult of me/occasional bloodbag. Don't really import her unless it's free though and she spends her time in nonexistence the very vast majority of the time. Sort of just an excitable underling that I bring out when I've accidentally destroyed the world with drawbacks and want someone to chat to.

Is any companion you occasionally sleep with a waifu?

To be fair they started it, it's not my fault they chose me for their stupid ritual (well except for the drawback which totally makes it my fault). Also I am clearing up the Gene pool. He is going to have to make more anyways so this should be a good lesson to the newbies be careful who you pick on.
Also a few of the vamps may not have joined the 3 day king festival... Of coarse they may want revenge which since I can obliterate armies of undead will likely not go well for them.
Anyways I am certain Sorin is a calm and rational man and we can come to some understanding (and I mean I can run away really fast and hide very well because he is apparently not a very nice guy.)

Everyone has an attractive demonic form exept for Team Manderville. They are still their original races. Especially Enkidu who is a green chicken. They can switch between their normal form and a big monsterous form. Enkidu goes from normal sized chicken to man sized chicken. This world is, interesting. Right off the bat I met this really friendly girl named Morrigan, I took her to The Gates of Hell(I love having my own bar) and we went on adventures in the mortal world. We also had a lot of fun fights. I think she's hinting at something though. Ruari and Rhyannon have been talking with her, oh here come all three of them and now they are dragging me off somewhe... One word: Delphine.

BLUH BLUH, HUGE BITCH, BLUH BLUH.

No, seriously. She takes joy and sadistic pleasure in how much her luxuries are so fucking resource-intensive and wasteful. The world treats clean water as a fucking luxury and the MCs are fucking baffled at a nobleman's water fountain. Delphine brags about needing 100 gallons of super-clean water to clean the catfish she's dining on. To their face. Before casually dropping more catfish in front of them, not giving a shit if they eat it. She only freaks out when they're not in awe.

She also is responsible for more or less helping the Guild turn into a 'holier than thou' group that's responsible for screwing over both Disith and Antoray for the hell of it (or at the least she seriously hastened it), and they can't even fight back because otherwise they'll just yank the flight generators out. Mid-flight. They think everyone dying inside is hilarious.

Another example, right from the wiki:

>She is truly heartless when it comes to the guild, and takes great delight in the wastefulness that her people go through to attain and prepare meals, such as Kerasion Mousse, which is rarely harvested because the harvesters most likely froze to death

Seriously. Fuck them.

Ah, my mistake. As to copying stuff like Excalibur, sure. EX would let you copy fae/divine stuff I think. Stuff like Ea, where the problem is that the user of UBW just can't comprehend the target weapon when trying to add it to their store, won't change but it's not really that hard to get around, there's a bunch of perks for comprehending weird/eldritch stuff and so on.

>>47948019
...ergh. I'm gonna say yes, as long as it stays within the limits of the NP, such as being personal items (Lightsabers okay, starships no, starships that somehow turn into swords no) and that it sticks within the rank limits too (So nothing beyond A++ rank equivalent if what you wanted to copy was an NP and that the higher the rank, the more mana it'd take). Though I'd honestly hesitate to even call a lightsaber an E rank NP so you could probably make those enmasse with ease.

>>47948029
Please look at the wiki anon, that describes the original UBW ability. It has all the limits that has, except for where my posts here have said otherwise.
>>
>>47948134
To clarify, you don't need EX rank to copy tech, you can do it at lower ranks if you want, those are just the rules for doing so.

>>
>>47948202

>>
>>47948134
Thanks! So would EX allow for both easier copying of non-sword items AND Excalibur type stuff? I mean, EX is several times above A++, so...
>>
>>47948134
Why can't we copy EX rank items? Isn't the difference between A++ and EX usually just determined by massively stronger effects?
>>
>>47948202
Do you have any good guidelines for what various ratings of Phantasm should be worth? I want to make one, but don't want to have to bug you when I do.
>>
>>47948134
Isn't the reason for the inability to copy Excalibur essentially the same as Ea, in that the Wielder can't comprehend it? And Shirou just got around it by having Avalon sealed inside him for so long?

>>
>>47948234
Because why would you ever buy an EX-rank item?
>>
>>47948219
Yes, EX would include what I've said in both my posts about it.

>>47948234
Because the normal UBW can only get up to A++ and if you want to vastly increase the range of what it can copy and remove some limits on what it can copy, that takes up all the 'upgrade space' that the additional Ranks give you. If you want to not expand the range of what it can copy and just increase the strength of things it can copy, then yeah EX will let you copy EX level stuff.

>>47948256
Go to the wiki and look at the general levels of canon NPs for each rank and judge based on that? Look at a few each rank since there's some big outliers in either direction in some ranks. It's the guideline I try and use and given how inconsistent the series is, it's about as good as it will ever get .(It'll probably only get worse as G/O stuff is added honestly)

>>47948266
Is it? I'm not sure. I know Shirou is unable to see Ea with his ability since it 'predates the concept of a sword' or something along those lines. If it does work that way then Excalibur won't be copyable, since Shirou being unable to is a flaw in the user rather then in the ability itself.
>>
>>47948202
By the way, I just looked at Gae Bolg, and for how powerful it is, I'm having a hard time figuring how much more ridiculous an EX ranked version of it would be. Like what the hell would it even do? Automatically kill the target and everyone related to them to the third degree unless they have A-ranked Luck (which is apparently more like the ability to defy fate)?
>>
>>47948060
Don't forget she has a thing for her brother. Like in a sexual way. She even brainwashes him, kills his best friend who dared to stand up for his BFF, and basically raped the badass eyepatch Captain.

However yeah, the 100 gallons of first water just to clean a catfish. When a gallon of filtered water is something like 1000 claude, which is like a fist size chunk.

>>
>>47948342
Ayup, hence the inconsistencies. Some things that are absurdly powerful are far lower ranked.

If you want my personal view...I'd say it becomes far more destructive (Something like the second use of the NP, but as cheap to use as the first use of it) without losing it's accuracy/cause and effect ability (Like a combination of the existing two versions of Gae Bolg), the spear would probably explode into needles and barbs when it hits someone like it did in legends, the base power of the weapon would increase too and possibly even have those barbs travel through the body to hit the heart like another legend. Big increase in power and a whole bunch of new powers, best I can do.

Still, an unblockable, unmissable long range explosive missile that has an almost sure chance of killing anything that somehow survives the initial blast and is even nicked by one of the barbs is still pretty cool.

Yeah, you can activate it at around the range of the second one. Which didn't really get a great showing by Lancer when he used it but I'd say it's...roughly as far as Cu Chulainn could throw the spear? Dunno about exact measurements but you can probably use it from a mile or two away from your target.

Noblesse...is pretty slow as usual, even for my glacial pace. Trying to make it bigger and expand a lot of the perk lines, especially after seeing how stuff like Vampire Diaries just offers what the canon races have and nothing really original. Considering maybe adding a customisation table or something for Soul Weapons but I'm not sure if that would be balanced against the other origins or even balanced within the Noble origin itself given only people who took one of the capstones could get it. It's still getting work done at least, so one day it'll be released.

Shirou's matching origin and element would have meant nothing if he wasn't also one of the very very few humans to eventually develop a reality marble. Kiritsugu's origin bullets are unique but not necessarily impossible to make without them

>>47948786
Eh, it's sorta scattered across a few notepads and such. I'll try to put them together into one word doc but with all the 'one step forward, one step back' I've been doing it's not that impressive.

>>47948791
And your warped mind makes something related to that warpedness, not something with no relation whatsoever. Picking a reality marble that isn't related would thus introduce that weirdness.
>>
>>47948761
Actually, why does Kara no Kyoukai have that when the only character where duel Origins were relevant as far as I understand it was Kiritsugu in the fourth grail war?

>>
>>47948754
Actually, what happens to your Reality Marble if your worldview changes drastically?

Would the effects stay the and just the aesthetics change? I mean, Archer is drastically different from Shirou and it seems the only difference was that it looked a little different, maybe.

>>
>>47948859
I guess it depends on the change. Archer and Shirou had different viewpoints but at his core, Archer is still the same person as Shirou, he's just horribly traumatised and without hope. So something like that only leads to a superficial change in the RM. I'd imagine if something really did change who you are at your core, your reality marble might change alongside it too. I've got absolutely no idea how that'd work though, so it's up to you.
>>
>>47948829
Val if we have a naturally weird mindset can develope a reality marble on our own or is the perk required?
>>
>>47948811
Suplex a Train from one of the Final Fantasy jumps.
>>
>>47948885
You can develop one on your own but it does have to be a weird mindset. Just being old enough won't work (No, citing Dead Apostles doesn't prove anything, they're all monsters of various sorts) but there's plenty of ways to be 'weird' enough and most jumpers manage it eventually.
>>
>>47948871
Apparently Required Secondary powers only apples to powers bought in the jump, it would be cool if YJ Anon added an upgrade to let it work for out of jump powers.
>>
>>47948829
Val. The wording you used seemed to imply that Strengthening an existing Reality Marble would make the "Warpedness" that spawned the Marble worse.
That isn't how it works, at all. The Strength of the Marble has no relation of the Warpedness that spawned it, Marbles get stronger via the training of them. They change as a person's Warpedness changes, but they don't get stronger or weaker.

Moreover, nothing says that a Purchased Reality Marble makes you Warped, it could work entirely off of Jump-fait, like a number of other Jump-offered perks.

You would need to be Warped to develop a Reality Marble naturally during your time in the Nasuverse, but nothing says that purchasing one makes you Warped.
>>
>>47948883
We're they, though? Archer was broken to the point of going completely against the ideals and warped beliefs that allowed him to develop a RM in the first place.

I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing here. Even if I wasn't in the grip of a cosmic mid-life crisis I was somehow under the impression this looked like some sort of vidya, but apparently it's an anime instead. So uh. I really don't know what I'm doing, to be honest.

I feel crazy unmotivated. I'm just going to open am interdimensional coffee house built inside a windmill on a floating island, and sail the seven...skies, selling rich blends for reasonable prices. And none of that frappuccino bullshit either.

Also nobody really trusts me. I'm still going to help them though, because if Innstrad's taught me anything it's that somebody has to pick up the slack of other people being immature manchildren. So I'm just going to open up a portal to Earth on my coffee shop's grounds, and when people ask what it's there for I'll tell them it's the way to Earth. And they won't believe me for a while, and just sit there drinking their coffee.

Well, until some brave soul actually takes a look. I'm not sure what to expect from the Guild at this point so I'm tentatively putting Brigid, Anhel and Avacyn on smiting duty if they try anything. Radio Noise and Kiva get to fix up the Last Exile while I work on making the portal big enough to fly it through.

>>
>>47948911
I'm saying that adding a second reality marble onto the first would make the warpedness worse, not just making it stronger.

Nothing says it does? Nothing says it doesn't either and unless you have some statement that removes a canon part of a perk, the perk works as it does in canon. In addition, at least for the Fate jump's version, I say it works that way. If you want to wank that the lack of wording saying you somehow avoid the canon limits of reality marbles in the Tsukihime perk (Which I doubt there is wording for it given it's copied almost wholly from the Fate jump) that's up to you.

>>47948914
I think they are. At the end of UBW Archer seems to have gained some hope back, even looks more like Shirou after he let his hair down. Archer just had so much pain and rage that he would do anything to stop living (Side note: anyone have any idea how long he was a Counter Guardian? Could've been at it for ten years or centuries).

>>47948943
Possibly? They rarely come up in fluff and even when they do it's usually one line mentions (Outside of KnK where I admit they do get more focus, but that's mostly cause of awakening stuff far as I'm aware) and don't really have that big an effect on magecraft. They have some effect but raw talent and actual training seems to be far more significant then what the origin is.

Not at all, though people throwing a hissy fit after not getting exactly what they want might see it that way.

If you pick something that already exists as a part of you to represent your Reality Marble, then you will see barely any change to no change. If you're not weird enough to get one in the first place or choose to pick something that doesn't fit you, then you take some penalties in the form of the new warpedness. It's hardly even that bad, Shirou and Archer both manage as perfectly normal people outside of a rare few situations and even most of those times it's just a philosophy that guides them and they've both shown to be able to ignore it if they believe they have to. True Shirou did consider himself nothing but a sword at one point, but that was at the end of the traumatic and most dark route, Heavens Feel, where there were many other factors, like his mind being overtaken by Archer's arm at the time.

So please don't spread misinformation. It's hardly as bad as what you say.

You're kidding right? The constant theme through the VN is that Shirou is completely fucking Insane. They might be able to "manage" as normal people, but so can a sociopath. That doesn't make them any less crazy. Arturia doesn't even notice because she isn't exactly a shining example of Mental Health herself. Rin manages a compromise between Shirou's madness and being a healthy human being. And Heaven's Feel is so terrible it forces Shirou to abandon his Ideals, and we never see the consequences of this.

And I'm not spreading misinformation by saying that if a perk messes with your brain it's a Trap Option. It's a personal opinion.
>>
>>47949101
Objectively speaking, the IS tank line was kinda trash.
They had armor and a big gun, but they were impossible small for the tank crew to operate in and they suffer from storing their ammo around and under the turret ring. Every tanker hated the thing but couldn't do anything because they were named after Stalin.

More insane then the sort of firefighter who runs into a burning building several times to rescue people he has no relation to and risking their own life in the process? That's basically what Shirou's 'complete fucking insanity' amounts to in terms of actions at all but the most extreme times. He puts more value on the lives of others then he does on his own and that manifests in both his desire to save people and his lack of self preservation instincts while doing so. It's nowhere near complete insanity except for a few moments.

>>
>>47949289
In addition, there are plenty of bad ends where he either places more value on his own life or where he decides to kill someone for the greater good, both sorts of actions that go against his 'complete fucking insanity'. Bad Ends are as canon to the series as the three main routes are too. All are just possible actions Shirou could have taken.
>>
>>47949289
>He puts more value on the lives of others then he does on his own
Because he puts No value on his own life.
Even a Firefighter weighs the risks, and makes a rational decision before choosing to run into a burning building.
Shirou doesn't ever consider the risks, because his life has no value.
That is insanity.

Wank Generator: Deadman Wonderland

Wretched Egg (500cp): As a child you were experimented upon heavily. As a result you can now summon red crystals out of your blood that can give others the branch of sin. Also you are able to use your own blood in any way you can think of, and you can regenerate from dismemberment. You also gain a kickass bodysuit, your eyes become red and your hair white. You also gain a split personality that is a complete sadist and will actively try to kill everyone they love. Expect this personality to emerge at least once in this jump. Oh, and they are more skilled in all of your powers than you.

So in the Deadman Wonderland, there's a perk that costs 500cp called wretched egg which gives you complete control over your blood and the ability to regenerate dismembered limbs. You also gain a split personality who can use your powers better than you can. Yeah, sounds pretty great for 500cp, right? The problem is that this personality "is a complete sadist and will actively try to kill everything they love". Oh...

But then, it says expect the personality to emerge at least once in the jump.

*expect*

So, would it be reasonable for me to interpret this as an only an estimate and work to mitigate or reduce it entirely? Would a perk that allows me to remove and add aspects of my personality allow me to remove *alternate* personalities?

I ask because this ability seems to be the only worthwhile thing in that jump, but it doesn't seem reasonable to ask me to shell out 800-1100cp for a perk that screws me over.
>>
>>47949351
Deadman Wonderland is a terrible Jump, and you're probably better off just ignoring that perk.
>>
>>47949351
Well, personally I think getting Branch of Sin: Hollow Swallow is pretty good. Having your blood be a technorganic interface medium capable of conveying information to both living organisms and machines is kind of cool. But if you do want to go Wretched Egg, I don't think there's any reason you couldn't suppress the other personality, no.

>>
>>47949351
It seems like a bad idea to have that kind of perk apply, seeing as they would be better at it. I think there is a perk in the Fountain that would let you kick off a split personality merge though. As long as you have some sanity perks (Meta from Freelancer, Anti-Madness Wavelength from Soul Eater) you would probably be fine.

Yeah, I'd say that's close enough. Long as it's something the person would carry out, rather then just glower in a corner and think someone deserves to die that's a sign of being badly warped enough.

>>47949326
Not always. There are plenty, countless really, stories of people going into suicidal situations to save other people. Firefighters, policemen, soldiers, paramedics etc etc. As said before, there are times when Shirou has placed more value on his own life then that of others and he has grown over time in the story (Various degrees in each route) to even place some value on his own life too, though mostly in relation to other people.

There's no one answer for that. The Greeed are all very young and inexperienced with their powers, really. And not all of them figure out the more esoteric uses for their abilities. Good times and having incredible trust and loyalty from person or such can help me lower that fear or forget it, but it never truly disappears. I don't want to kill them then, though... Just neutralize or beat.

I am messed up.

If I understand right, one can't have two reality marbles that represent two views or parts of view on reality a person has?

I mean, I got that paranoia... But it also goes the other way, into an ideal sort of thing. A person I trust wholeheartedly, if I trust them so much the fear disappears, they are my motivation, my power, etc.

Creating reality marble where I utilize their powers or fighting style temporarily, in a SWITCH type of way. Use it once, I can't use it again during that activation of marble. Might be just limited to signature power.

I AM messed up.

>>
>>47949430

>>
>>47949736
Well, no one in canon has more then one Reality Marble. I'd imagine, with perks, it's not impossible to have more then one but I think that, unless the two views on reality they're based on are complementary, you're going to have bad times. I do think that you're not going to be able to use more then one at once however, even if you have two, since reality marbles can't coexist with each other when summoned. The stronger one always overrides the weaker one eventually.
>>
>>47949769
Oh, it is obvious I won't be able to use both.

Unless I somehow manage to fix my personality so that my two views on reality are not just... Complementary but can work together in which case I assume they would become one reality marble instead, although different from either of them, based on however I reconciled these viewpoints?

How strong is natural reality marble? As in, one gotten simply through this warped viewpoint In jump?

>>
>>47949600
Hey Val, how's this for a Reality Marble?

A space where the properties of everything inside that isn't created by the Reality Marble itself becomes inconsistent warping subtly to accommodate those inside, or even entirely at random.
No one can control this aspect, not even its user.
Anyone inside can create, destroy, or manipulate properties of material things at will, but the result will always result in more of a warping and degradation effect then it can ever improve them.
After the Reality Marble is closed, whatever was created by the space is destroyed as well, and the warped properties of things are summarily 'corrected' by the world, resulting in further warping.

Could a reality Marble have clones of all your companions at their full strength and decked out with their full wargear?

Weekly world saving missions for the next half decade, followed by a half decade of betraying our former organization to avoid being decommissioned. Numbuh 16,777,216 and Numbuh 413 might take this a tad too seriously, thanks to their own experiences with combat as kids. Things are probably going to escalate quickly if word gets out, so we'll have to try to keep up a good cover story for why our sector is suddenly undergoing a huge decrease in the villain population. But you know what they say: love is helping her hide the bodies.

Honestly? Not much of a clue. I think that's something best left to you to decide based on what fits your jumper's character better. Whether you want them to stay separate or mix together is up to you.

The one purchasable in the Fate is equal to UBW/an A++ Noble Phantasm in strength. The one you get naturally? I'd say up to you, though I wouldn't say you could really go above the power of the one you can buy, at least not when you've first developed it. You could train it and grow over time to be equal to or superior then the bought one.

>>47949830
I'm...not sure, it's basically like an area of effect, uncontrolled version of what Josuke's Stand does? I think the note about it not being able to improve things makes sense but I think maybe another one about having to be at least as strong as whatever you're trying to destroy to destroy it? Otherwise it seems like you could instantly kill any opponent before they're aware of how things work and can return the favour. Other then that one note, it seems pretty cool and entertaining.

>>47949857
I'm...not sure. Gimme a few minutes to think on it.

Are there any other jumps in the vein of Harvest Moon, where there's no real danger, but you are always busy? Is there a Rune Factory jump?
>>
>>47949934
Hmm.

How does power of several stacked reality marbles by buying one in each jump you can change their rating?
>>
>>47949870
More than that actually, the Floating is capable docking quite a number of Vespa especially when the wall are removed. Maybe 8-10 of them, remember Vespa are smaller than their Vanship counterpart. For Vanship maybe max 6, if they really cramp it in there.

>>47949899
True love, that'd probably do the trick.
>>
>>47949857
Ugh, you know what? Nevermind. Was writing up this big ability but it's way too complicated in the long run and my fingers are like ice. You can have one clone of each of your 8 companions at full power and full gear sure. They're only there when you summon the reality marble in full, cannot exit and cease to exist outside of it, as does any creation of theirs, effect they do (Barring damage) and any item/gear they have. Clones are the same as the companions currently are, meaning they get stronger alongside but also get weaker and when a clone is killed , you have to either pay an equal cost in mana to recreate them and all accompanying gear or wait a good long time for the clone to reappear.

>>47949967
Well, think this has come up in the past but I've generally said you'd go from an A++ RM to an EX one if you do diminishing returns or just doubling the power if you don't, which would put you a fair bit above EX.
>>
>>47950105
That's at EX rank btw, since everyone always gets that and it's easier to go down from EX then to go up to it.
>>
Excuse me, I wanted to ask for the Evangelion jump, what's the difference between Angels of Adam and Lilith? I know Adam's kids are supposed to be tougher and stronger in direct combat, but I think I remember some anon saying that Lilith's were capable of advanced problem solving, soul diffusion, and greater psychic capabilities, which would be more for Ineffable Angels?
>>
>>47950121
Both can be Ineffable. But an Ineffable Adamite Angel is going to be just imposing its weird psychic and quantum mechanical stuff on its surroundings, while an Ineffable Lilim Angel is going to be warping and twisting what's already there.
>>
>>47950121
Lilith angels are humans. You gotta understand that. Soul diffusion is because humanity is together a soul of one angel split into little bits, if I understand right

>>47950105
Hm. So a natural reality marble could get up to EX too if I train it for a long time?

This will be... Interesting. Kinda like my Persona Shadow

>>47950121
Well, uh.

For starters? Angels of Lilith are...pretty much humans.

As in, literally humans. Canonically, humanity is collectively the 18th angel. Being an Adam-based angel would probably amplify Ineffable just as well given Arael can rape minds from the stratosphere, Leliel makes Shinji trip while he's stuck in it and Armisael has its' EVA hijacking trick.

I'm not entirely sure what Muyo was going for given there aren't any canon Lilithian angels apart from humanity. I don't think soul diffusion and better psychic stuff-maybe better psychic comunication and understanding to differentiate from Adam's seeming advantage in range and intensity-would be unreasonable though.
>>
>>47950184
Yup. Just like humans do with the environment although without the use of AT fields for that. Kinda.

... Is it me or could a Lilith type angel basically do Accelerator stuff with its AT field
>>
Are there any good ways to bypass a D&D Sorc's spells known limit? Good ways to add to their spells know after this limit is dealt with?
>>
>>47950195
Potentially yes. Said training would I imagine be more like magical research and experimentation on yourself to enhance it's power. Basically what most Dead Apostles do. Just sitting and waiting for it to grow is unlikely to do anything and even regular use of it will just make you more skilled with it's use rather then increasing raw power (ex. Archer's UBW isn't stronger then Shirou's innately, he's just far more experienced with it and has worked out specific uses of it such as modifying weapons like Caladoblg II then Shirou only starts working on after the endings of some routes)
>>
>>47950232
Get a Warlock companion and have them use Imbue Item to start cranking out Knowstones for you.
>>
>>47950195
>>47950207
...so wait, if we take A Different Branch, doesn't that basically just make us humans with Angel powers.
What.
>>
>>47950302
Well, there is one example of a non-human Lilim Angel: Unit 01. The rest of the Evangelions are cloned from Adam's genetic material, but Unit 01 is made from Lilith. That implies you can make Lilim analogues of other Adamite life forms. So you could be a Lilim Angel just as weird and monster-y as any other Angel.

Just curious-for the purposes of Fate/Extra, since Hakuno's Servant can potentially access their Power of the Beginning, is it potentially possible for both you and their Servant to access the Origin or is there anything in the Moon Cell's software preventing more than one Servant accessing their Origin within the Moon Cell? I forgot that part of CCC.
>>
>>47950302
Not the anon.
But yeah essentially. All monster angels we see in the setting are from adam as they had the "Fruit of Life" they had the S2 organ. We, the humans, the Lilith based beings, inherited the "Fruit of Knowledge" thats probably why the humans even have a chance against the angels to begin with, because they too are progenitors to an angel.

If you were Lilith based and had an S2 organ? You are essentially weilding both Fruits and I don't know what the fuck that entails.
Also when it said "Diffusion of self into many" I thought that was referring to how Iruel could seperate itself. Or perhaps it meant I could sorta diffuse a bit of my self onto my equipment to power it or exist within it, while still maintaining a actual appearance.
>>
I can't find in the Dark Souls jumps how miracles and sorceries are supposed to work. Do they just work like in the games or can you cast them spontaneously? How are they restored -- through sitting at a bonfire or daily? But there aren't any bonfires past dark souls and the perk for bonfires explicitly says that those you make are only animal-warding campfires.

I thought you did cast them spontaneously in the games? Given they drain stamina I'd assume they're tiring to some extent but being buffer would help you cast more of them before you'd need to rest.

I don't think they're "restored" as such so much as they make you tired and you just have to be able to cast 'em without collapsing, as long as you have a chime, staff or other focus handy.
>>
>>47950387
Aw. No examples either?

Perhaps they are messing with their soul mind thing to enforce that belief better. Fuck

>>
>>47950400
They drain stamina? I thought there were attunement slots that only allow a certain number to be cast? Like Attunement is even a stat.

But I have only played the first game (and Demon Souls, in which mana is drained).
>>
>>47950398
Correct. You don't actually need a warlock, they're just the most efficient at it because they can ignore caster level requirements and replace knowledge of the spell with a use magic device check, letting them create a Knowstone of any spell in the game at level 12. This includes divine spells, in case you went with one of those dragons that has cleric spells on its spell list.
>>
>>47950402
There might be, but it's probably Tsukihime stuff mostly, maybe in some side material in one of the later games or something. Not exactly my area of focus.

>>47950407
Git gud and earn it in jump. You can do it across the type moon jumps but not in any other jump, because you need to get to and survive being in the Root and then return to get a True Magic. Up to you to figure out a way and you won't get one of the existing 5 Magics but a new one.

You could potentially learn an existing True Magic from one of the current users but only the 2nd Magic and 5th Magic have users during the timelines of any of the jumps. Won't be easy either, both learning the magic and putting up with your teachers, even if you get them to teach.

The only thing about the Magics that is blocked until post spark is using the 2nd Magic to travel between jumps.

>>47950426
How dangerous is Marvel? Depends on the context. If you're an ordinary high schooler who never goes looking for trouble, probably not very much at all. If you're specifically hunting down the strongest beings in the series to steal their goodies then yeah pretty dangerous, though most of the danger is through conceptual hax rather then raw power like in DC or Marvel.

I'm not sure what Val means by "most" Dead Apostles but it's possible for very clever alchemists to artificially transform themselves into Dead Apostles in the process of researching immortality, such as a guy called Nvrnsqr who turned his body into amorphous primordial chaos animals. Sorta like Alucard but more dogs.

There aren't hard guidelines to Angel powers, but given the nature of what an AT-Field is they're implicitly based on self-image.

I dunno what's going on with Rebuild of Eva now Muyo's gone. Apparently he's left for good, so theoretically anyone can do it?

So the perk useless magic says this: There are some objects you cannot project however, no matter what you try, such as Noble Phantasms and Conceptual weaponry.

So not even with centuries to practice could you do it?

Could Shirou do it just because of his origin?

Also, is it possible to gain more magic circuits post-jump?
>>
>>47950579
so I get from the review that the setting could be interesting but the game is rubbish.
>>
>>47948901
In the update, powers that overlap with what you get in the powers section (such as multiple super strength powers) will also benefit from Required Secondary Powers.

I feel like making Required Secondary Powers work on out of jump powers, without them overlapping, would be a bad idea.
>>
>>47950532
Hakuno could sure. Makes me regret saying it's allowable to gain in jump at all when you do things like that, since it completely defeats the point of blocking it off. But whatever, fine.

>>47950541
There are plenty of forms of time travel in the chain, including a few I'm not sure how people overlook but won't spoil otherwise, so it's not a first. Far as I'm aware it's a bit different from outright time travel too (Or not, I haven't read Mahoutsukai) but it does have some flaws (Causing the death of the planet in the far future I believe?)

>>47950548
Depends on how noticeable they are I guess. If they're out obviously hunting and feeding on everyone then yeah you'll probably eventually have people hunting you down. If they keep on the down low, mostly feeding a little from you or other friends who don't make it known then yeah you can probably skate by. Just don't go to the highschool in your starting location because a vampire hunter is coming there as a student soon, Ciel.

>>47950579
Yahtzees a funny guy but he's awful at actual reviews. Almost nothing about the game itself instead of the most vague overview of it. You're better of finding something else or even just reading the wiki.

>>47950624
With centuries of dedicated practise (Not an hour every day but a good majority), a bunch of learning perks and an utter fuckload of energy to spare, sure you could learn to. Shirou could do it because his Reality Marble is entirely focused on it and even then on a specific type of thing and he's only ever practised Projection, Reinforcement and Structural scanning.

Possibly, I think Waver Velvet is working on a way to do that, forgot what it was though.

>>
>>47950694

>>
>>47950704
A good portion of each day, at least several hours. A majority of your time should be spent just practising. You are trying to make out of nothing but energy the most legendary artefacts in the series, including the magical powers, legend and history of the weapons. Not to mention using Magecaft, one of the worse systems to do so with. And trying to replicate what will often be Age of Gods stuff or inhuman creations with modern day human magic.
>>
>>47950745
Okay, then. That doesn't seem very viable. Do you know if it's possible to reinforce a projected weapon?
>>
>>47950665
I thought that people who are fed on by a nasu vampire turned into a zombie minion, if I can just let her feed on me it should be fine and I can just keep her away from the school.
>>
>>47950768
It's really not, there's a good reason I said it wasn't really possible. You'd fine much easier ways to doing it with other things in the jump (Other magical systems on offer probably get there much quicker, outright crafting stuff yourself, reality marbles etc) or with out of jump stuff.

Reinforcing a projected weapon? Should be possible. It's basically what Archer does to his projected NPs to make them 'Broken' NPs. Just keep in mind that putting too much reinforcement into something will make it explode

>>47950796

>You are trying to make out of nothing but energy the most legendary artefacts in the series, including the magical powers, legend and history of the weapons.

To be fair, there aren't *that" many systems (that I'm aware of) that can do such a thing. I'd estimate... about 10 (but even that may be too much).
>>
>>47950811
Alright. I mainly just wanted to see if it was possible in case of disarmament (more of a gimmick than anything really necessary).
>>
>>47950839
True, but Magecraft is explicitly and canonically the worst system in the Nasuverse. It was the degraded, inferior form of older systems like HSDW when it was made and it's only gotten worse and more inefficient over time as technology progressed and more mages appeared. Add in that when Shirou did it, people in series described his feat as being just below the level of True Magic and it's probably one of the hardest things you could be seeking to do with Magecraft below actually trying to get a True Magic of your own.
>>
>>47950870
Nothing saying you cannot create normal weapons or even normal magical weapons anon, nor that you can't use outside perks to boost the power of what your projecting (Plenty of magic multipliers exist after all). It's just that getting it to the level that you're making actual Noble Phantasms is almost pointlessly difficult and wasteful of effort.

You could, but why would you when you could use HSDW which can do everything Magecraft can but better and just use out of context stuff on that instead? Of course if you can't get access to one of the other systems, though there are certainly out of context ways to do that too, making Magecraft better is better then nothing.

>>47950983
No, they'd need to be born in that time to get full access, they'd still be forced to use Magecraft otherwise. Though, they would have a much stronger version of magecraft, given they wouldn't need to share it with any other mage, but it'd still be inferior to what someone like Medea would use.

>>47950990
Shittier then shitty. Also one of the more vague and undefined things in the series, which is always annoying.
>>
So here's something I wanted to ask: does the "Corruption doesn't affect you" perk from Once Upon a Time apply to all situations, including self inflicted? Like, could I take it, and then casually maintain both the Madness Release state from Soul Eater and the Shadow form from KH's Heartless section without losing myself to darkness/madness?

>The Public Library from Endless Legend
Hmm... Interesting. How do you think this would interact with spellbooks from Harry Potter (since the wizarding world is "hidden") or Grimoires/other information from Mage: the Awakening (the same)?
>>
>>47951195
If you become a servant, must you kill yourself to end the HGW?

Also, can you still use cp from the main jump, or do you forfeit it?
>>
>>47951195
Isn't that something that literally can't work anymore because the laws of the world changed or something like that? The same reason phantasmal beasts and magecraft are getting weaker all the time, or that the laws of physics are more less malleable and more solid?
>>
>>47951133
If you're being corrupted by yourself, rather than any outside effect, isn't it implicitly consensual and thus wouldn't be a thing you're trying to resist in the first place?
>>
>>47951204
Well, it's strictly "true information that has been written down". It doesn't mean it's sorted. It doesn't mean it's convenient.

In a Grimoire, you might have the process to summon it along with the warning "don't summon demons unless you know their true names, or it'll mess shit up".

In the Public Library, there might be a book called "How to Summon Demons" that has the process to summon them...but not necessarily the warning or a manner to bind or control them. That information is in the book "How Not To Get Killed By A Demon Volume XXIXV".
And if a mage hasn't already written a particular demon's true name down, it won't be in the Public Library.
>>
>>47951300
Well, just the information would be useful for further study. There are other perks that help to organize and sort through information.

If I used the Kamen Rider NHP1 perk that allows all written knowledge of the world you're in to be found more easily using three 'keywords', since the information is kept in the warehouse, It's technically in the world I'm in (especially if I'm already in the warehouse).
>>

>>
>>47951250
No, you just need to kill the other 6 Servants.

You can still use it.

>>47951287
Ordinarily, yes. But Servant's can still use it and using out of context perks from other jumps might be able to let you use it too.

>>47951402
No, your original stats and what you buy in the supplement are separate. Anything you buy is added on to whatever you already have, just like perks always work.
>>
>>47950961
>rummages through PHB and DMG...
>rummages more. AHA!!!!!

DMG, Researching Original Spells has _guidelines_ (emphasis mine). To summarise them, it's 1000gp per level of the spell, plus one week per level of the spell, plus access to consultants/materials/libraries/facilities, plus a Spellcraft check at the end to check for success or have to start over. The final paragraph reminds the DM that sorcerers and bards can't exceed their normal limits through this method, but Dark Wisdom takes care of that.

Or, you can just watch someone else cast the spell a few times and puzzle it out yourself like >>47951085 , I'd say (if I was "DM") it'd involve something like a spellcraft check each week until you succeed the check.
>>
>>47951450
So if a master tries to divine my stats, do they see my "real" stats or what I purchased in the jump?
>>
There's no real level limit in D&D, right? So would it be theoretically possible to reach levels like level 60 or level 100, given the time?
>>
>>47951580
Yes, it should be, but it would probably take thousands of years.
>>
>>47951580
Theoretically, yes.
>>
>>47951580
Theoretically, yes. But most base classes stop adding new abilities after level thirty, so for maximum effect you'll want to multiclass once you hit that level.

At that point, why even bother with HSDW, if you can reinvent them, you clearly already have something better.
>>
>>47951681
Why would becoming a vampire cost you your soul?
>>
>>47951682
Thank you for indulging me. This has all been very informative.
>>
>>47951720
In the NWOD, neither vampires nor mages can Awaken as mages because neither of them have souls. A vampire's is replaced with something called "The Beast" and Werewolves have it stolen.
>>
>>47951742
It'd probably work like how going Blank in 40k doesn't cost you your soul everywhere. You don't pick up whatever mechanics/effects there are from a nWoD soul through the Requiem jump but whatever soul you otherwise have is fine, and other jumps in the setting can give you one (like the Mage jump itself)
>>

Huh. As someone who's read the VN Val, which route do you think Shirou has the most character growth in? Just speaking in terms of his personality developing or growing, for good or for ill.
>>
>>47952379
Well in the DC Jump you could choose to take DCAU but the danger would scale up. Also despite the reputation of events most street level heroes survive events by staying in their own weight class. They aren't front line guys. Also never join the teen titans... it it's not the cartoon it's a death trap from what I understand.
>>
>>47952420
Teen Titans is basically pray you are immune to arch-demon level magic the jump, Trigon was shown to treat superman like a bug in a setting where he is shown to be less powerful than he was in the Teen Titans cartoon.

>>
>>47952420
Never join any version of the teen titans, they always have to fight Raven's dad who is a colossal nope even by DC standards
>>
>>47952418
Hard to say, since each route sort of relies on the previous one.In the end I'd side with UBW route as the one with the most character development. It's the one I think he progresses furthest from who he is at the start and the one where he gets closest to his dream of being a hero of justice, as well as where he becomes mature enough to acknowledge that dream will almost certainly end as Archers did. The fact that he has Archer as a foil just makes the development even better.

HF has a fair bit of character development but it's ending is pretty unsatisfying and Shirou largely seems to end back where he started with a few changes, rather then as a more matured and developed person like with UBW. If Shirou had died destroying the Greater Grail in HF, then I think I'd side with this route having the most development.

Fate route is good, but it's largely setting the scene for the other two routes, so it's not really in the running.

If we take into account Bad Ends though, Mind of Steel (The one where Shirou becomes like Kiritsugu and decides to kill Sakura for the greater good, regardless of morals or whether it's right or not) is the one where Shirou progresses the furthest from his starting point, since he's now on the road to becoming his father at his worst moments.

I use my magic from innistrad to shield him, as well as myself and the little girl who I am holding in one set of arms while playing the guitar to attract the attention of the shibuta on the ground. Ranged attacks don't really bother me up here, but a flying shibuta nearly hurt the little girl so I clipped it's wings with a sword. The student managed to find the god responsible for all these undying dead people and the time shenanigans. As soon as it was identified I attempted to stop time, teleport there, and kill it. Unfortunately with my powers weakened I was unable to hold the time stop long enough and it escaped through a portal. The student and I followed it into the portal. Once through the portal, we attacked the thing again and managed to kill it. However, in the last moment the little girl was pulled out of my arms and vanished while before a voice spoke to me and I was pulled into yet another place. As I arrived, my sightlink to the student flickered as I realized he had been left behind. He managed to get back out of the portal and start cutting down the dead folk before the link cut out completely. I was distraught at the loss of my new friends, they didn't deserve that world. However, I was out. I wasn't going back.

>>
>>47952783
Compared to casual star-busters, since the ones we are familiar are human, and therefore literally the strongest and the best lanterns there are. Kilowog is like in the top 5-7 lanterns and literally right behind them with Mogo.
>>
>>47952667
>Way Below

Kilowog is like top 10.

1.) Hal Jordan
2.) Sinestro
3.) Kyle Rayner
4.) Guy Gardner
5.) John Stewart
6.) Kilowog

B'az & Jessica are like average corps. So they're like in the low 50s. B'az needs a gun & Jessica is a spaz.

Kilowog while not as powerful as most the human lanterns, he hangs out with them. He's survived thick and thin with the human GLs, so having your ring be "mearly" Kilowog's strength already puts you heads and bounds over 99.99% the entire Corps.

The fact you have Sinestro, Hal, Kyle, Guy, and John ahead of you, means you're in good company. Hal is literally best GL there is. Sinestro created his own corps. Kyle was the white lantern for awhile. Guy literally is bursting with willpower. John had so much Will his ring couldn't handle it.

Kilowog level will definitely see you through anything. Just don't think you're Superman.

He saved the souls of all his people, like several trillion of them. He then made then new bodies on Mogo. Sinestro came by, blew up Mogo and killed his species again.

Mogo gets blown up like every few years.

I don't think I want to meet anyone from that race. . .

All the more reason considering he calls fucking EVERYONE that, then.

Poozer is one word with multiple meanings. It can be a term of endearment, or it can be term of disrespect. Talking to bunch of greenhorns, then calling them Poozers would be like a drill sergeant calling you a maggot. However if he's talking to Hal/Earth Buddies, then it's his way of saying "my dear friend". Poozer.

Kilowag created new bodies out of thin air for an entire race using his Lantern ring. . . Kilowag the punching guy. . .seriously?

Like going 'hey, you asshole, how have you been?' to a friend.

Don't care. Still punching.

It's all just fictional characters. They're not real so in the end, who cares what gets said about them, at least in this context? It's a good bit of fun putting out a post like "hurr durr rin is wurst grl" in /a/ and watching them rip each other apart, but I honestly don't know why people get so worked up that a fictional character who will never love them that doesn't exist got insulted.

Humans are naturally prone to investing their feelings into anything they can anthropomorphize. This includes simulacra of real people like fictional characters. People do this to everything from that, to pets, to bomb disposal robots. It's just an expression of our natural empathy for each other, which isn't really tuned to dealing with all of these non-humans and fake humans.

Keep up your practice, someday you'll overcome that yellow vulnerability!
