Neither of them really came out of it looking like geniuses, but Sorin definitely got the worst of the character-butchering. The way it's written is like he thinks that Nahiri is now some kind of permanent threat to him, when during their fight at that point he was abnormally weakened, and was still able to win with Avacyn's help. Really all he needed to do was tell her to fuck off and then get back in his Dracula coffin or whatever the fuck he was doing. Is the off-chance of her maybe still being angry enough to come back and try (and fail) to kill him again really significant enough to risk letting the fucking Eldrazi out? Honestly, this is almost enough to give Sorin the 2nd-place spot on my "dumbest Planeswalker" list. It makes it seem like he never cared about the Eldrazi at all, which begs the question of why he even bothered to help imprison them in the first place.

On Xerex, she pushed her summoning abilities to the limit, and believes the odd plane holds the secret to improving herself further.
Major Life Moments:
Spark Ignition: Maritana nearly died when a zealous militiaman ran her through on suspicion of being a werewolf. He wasn't entirely unjustified, given that she was practicing her recently-discovered "animation" talents near city walls.
Special Training: Less training and more an innate ability, Maritana is able to call entities from the world around her to aid her in a fight. Before her spark ignited, she was only able to summon primal spirits from the Ulvenwald wilderness, but exposure to different planes and mana have expanded her ability to work nearly anywhere there is available mana.
Goals: To further expand and control her psuedo-summoning ability, to the point where she can manifest greater, more powerful beings anywhere she goes. Wants to explore as much of the Multiverse as she can.

All right, thankfully /tg/booru has a useable image for this. As far as describing how her ability actually works, think of it like a less shitty, Devotion-based Anthousa. Animating the land around her, getting more stuff as devotion goes up.

Favorite cards include Aspect of Hydra (this describes a lot about her fighting style), Earthen Arms (why the fuck does Green only get one Awaken spell?) Explore (A thing she enjoys doing, after all), Howl of the Night Pack (Homesick, maybe?)

Favorite decks are monogreen land animation and monogreen devotion

Equipment carried is Sword of the Animist, Adventuring Gear, Throwing Knife

Lastly, Maritana is currently spending time in Theros, trying to hone both her innate talents as well as her ability with a sword.

Teach her how to kill and burn things with extreme prejudice. If you get a look at her spells selection you'd see she is pretty good at it. Also you can use her as some sort of eldrazi radar given her supernatural tendence at freaking out when dangerous things get into a one mile radius.
The spear came out of balancing the damn thing out of the left. Also it is a clear symbol and in comics everything is about making clearly recognizable symbols.

Ka'koarm's got more length than height, admittedly, I'd say his main torso area is similar in size to an adult horse's. It's supposed to be extremely obvious to whoever meets him that whatever he is currently isn't natural anymore, without going the "slap tentacles on it" route.

I think it depends largely on how this block goes, if everything goes horribly wrong right until the end then she'll likely just change her worldview to be similar to how Boros sees things: Justice is harsh and swift, those who stand in the way of what is right will die.

If things get better she'll likely be wracked with guilt, if say the angels are cured of the corruption then she'll hate herself for killing all the tainted angels she encountered during this set and try to atone for it.

I can see her hanging around with The Cathar more as they'd have a lot more in common. Murdock too, she likes feeling like she's protecting someone because it reminds her of her early days as an angel when she'd be assigned to guard and mentor humans. Plus she helped her realise how much fun burning things is.

Stereotypical Therosian civilian wear seems to be white togas. The lower class seem to wear skimpier ones, while the more sophisticated and richer appear to go with longer ones with colorful trim and shawls. Leather or any other non-fabric doesn't seem very common in their clothes.

I don't think it would be hard to explain it by pulling the Planeswalker card. Her accepted home is Theros, which makes up the baseline. In this case, the robe/toga with colorful sleeves sounds like it would not be out of place. Everything else could be from wherever. This is fair. Thinking back to the stories, Jace didn't really notice much in common with the hedrons and he'd spent a really long time on Zendikar.

The other idea I had to give her a reason to know something is up with Zendikar is based on what Avacyn saw in her mind. I think at this stage is safe to assume that Nahiri didn't influence Avacyn but rather the act of holding off Emrakul is what allowed the Eldrazi to mess with her head. Emrakul would also project visions of things like Hedrons as it was imprisoned by them for a very long time. Assuming this is true then to me it seems reasonable that the other angels may have seen these things too which would give her a reason to connect the Hedrons and what happened to Innistrad.

All I want from this is a reason for her to assume that someone is responsible for doing this. She doesn't know Nahiri at all, she /might/ know Sorin exists but nothing further. From what I understand 'The Lithomancer' is a legend on Zendikar and most people, old beings like angels especially, know they made the Hedrons.

I'm more than happy to edit things based on feedback as long as it's constructive.

And her entire hatred of Narset is because...she died protecting him in Khans, which OBVIOUSLY meant romantic relationship with a character the chicken liked, therefore PURE HATE MODE, which then extended to the character she formerly liked when he didn't up and murder said hated character's alternate self and in fact got along nicely with her. Again that's fair. I definitely bleed into her a lot. I have no intention of Serena ever encountering Nahiri though, she'd just die if she did anyway. She's just going to doing damage control on Innistrad while really angry. I understand that and I'll revise it, I could simply have it explained differently. She learns about the Eldrazi while on Zendikar so maybe she starts to figure stuff out when Emmy arrives? Maybe she comes to a massively wrong conclusion because she has a very tiny amount of information to work with.

I'd like both of her character sheets to continue to exist but it is an update. I'm not going to ask the person who makes the flake sheet to change it to update Serena though, unless they want to.

To be fair, the story about inninstrad is the actual mtg lore so it surprises me not that people talk about it. And it is not like those two things are false, I mean, yesterday I was having some drinks with a couple friends who, bless them, don't browse /tg/ and when I showed them that article about EM they couldn't keep a straight face. Believe it or not, hating on the Nahiri-Sorin dinamics is not a meme.

My suggestion would be to drop the part about learning about the lithomancer - but keep the bit about noticing the hedrons and cryptoliths being similar.
Perhaps when she hits Zendikar, she ends up fighting some of the still-squirming dying organs I mean drones of Kozilek and Ulamog (and protecting some people in the process, just kinda shows up near a bunch of shit going down), talks with some of the local HUEG angels and learns about the Eldrazi, maybe hears that the hedrons were supposed to contain them - you were right in that the angels would know the most about such things.
Then when she goes home shortly afterwards, oh fuck there's more of these things THERE now, how did this happen? Didn't they say that the Eldrazi got killed wait no there was another one oh shit the angels are fucked over here, etc.
And somewhere in there comes the realization that those weird new rock features that sprouted everywhere are similar to the ones on Zendikar. And then you can play with potential misconceptions instead of just knowing that The Lithomancer almost certainly did it - while ALSO leaving open the possibility of figuring out that it was the weird woman that looks like those Zendikari people.

The way I understand it, he was busy with the avacyn thing when Nahiri had to fix the eldrazi leak, and when she came to accuse him (no matter she didn't even think that Ugin too exists, as of today she never even mentioned him) they just couldn't sort out their problems and acted like two irritating children having a spat until nahiri attacked him and he kicked her into the helvault. Thousands of years later, when she comes out of it, she ifnds Zendikar overran by eldrazi and instead of trying to fix it, goes on taking her revenge not on who she (wrongly) judges the culprit, but on the million of innocents that only happent o live on his plan. With the crowning act of helping the eldrazi, teh actual things that devoured her home, spreading through the multiverse. Yeah, Sorin is an arrogant cunt who shows little respect for Nahiri but I'd choose the one that is not an homicidial maniac burning entire planes on misjudedged revenges. Assuming, fo course that this story is actual even worth of consideration given how poorly written it is.

Then, after the thousand years trapped in the Helvault with only her memories of Zendikar and the occasional demon to keep her company, she finds herself suddenly mortal again, and immediately goes to Zendikar, only to find Ulamog joyriding over the place. And she's fought Ulamog before, alongside Sorin, back when she was an oldwalker. And they LOST. They couldn't even drive it off, nevermind defeat it - and she doesn't know it COULD be killed, because all she has is Ugin's carefully worded disinformation to go by. As far as she knows, Ulamog is unkillable, and she is infinitely weaker than the last time she fought it. She didn't try because there was no point - Gideon fought because he didn't KNOW they were extraplanar abominations, just Really Big Monsters. And she doesn't want to sit there watching her home be devoured while fighting a battle she knows will amount to Jack and Squat.
As for summoning Emrakul - the thing is, it's going to be eating a plane regardless. Ulamog was eating Zendikar, Emrakul was going off...somewhere. So, rather than letting Emrakul eat Dominaria or Ravnica or Random Plane We Haven't Heard Of, she decides it's going to eat Innistrad first. It's free regardless, and so millions or billions will die on whatever plane it snacks on - whatever plane that happens to be. So she's now saved Whatever It Would've Eaten to inflict it on the only thing the person she thinks is responsible for this mess cares about.
I do not think she is in any way justified for her actions. This is more her likely thought process.

Well you see. None of those to me sound like an actual thing an adult- no, a person that has been alive for centuries- would do. Even the "she is mad cuz helvault" thing seems to only work when they need her to be angry, but when having to think stuff like "can I actually defeat the eldrazi" she seems to think just fine. When Sorin and Nahiri first fought them, they had no idea what they were. They, like Gideon during Rise/Battle, thought they were just Big Monsters, if ones that could travel between worlds. And just killing drones and spawn and whatnot doesn't do shit to stop them.
When they found out what the Eldrazi actually ARE, it was from Ugin - and he was a lot more careful with his phrasing with them than with Jace, and while he technically did not say they were unkillable, he certainly tried to make them both think he did. Ugin's an asshole and should not be trusted, and everything he says should be read like it's a fiendish contract.
And yes, the entire conversation - both sides of it - between Nahiri and Sorin is fucking ridiculous and childish and retarded.
Both of them are to blame for the situation. Both of them went out of line in the past - Sorin moreso then (seriously, fucking helvaulting?). And while I feel Nahiri's anger is justified, her reaction most certainly is not - and yet, as far as she knows, it's the only way she CAN do anything to Sorin. Because she's been rendered mortal and doesn't know Sorin's been weakened just as much.
The entire thing is just...fucking stupid, honestly.
