I've been GMing a game for almost two years now where the party were chosen ones for different members of the settings pantheon.

Jesus Christ I was not ready for a game of this scale and Pathfinder's power scaling does not help. At this point it's almost a surefire that the party will be going god killing at some point.

So my GM allow any Paizo race of 15RP or lower for the new campaign (usually our table strictly only play with core race).

Well... one of them did all of the following:
1. Ended a war, by creating and using the first Dirty Bomb
2. Waged a solo war against one of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and won.
3. Resurrected an evil god
4. Conducted a raid on the god's private plane, freeing all the souls he was going to feed on.
5. Stole said god's divine power.
6. Used said power as a clean, eternal, energy source.
7. Outsmarted a cabal of Ancient Dragons.
8. Was responsible for the death/eternal imprisonment of the entire party.

It was me. I was the angel.

Choose cleric or oracle. Not both.

Angle kin Aasimat Oracle. Lunar oracle with prophetic armor and noble scion of war at level 1 so you use dex for nothing.

Str: 16
Dex: 7
Con: 14
Int: 12
Wis: 12
Cha: 18

Get broken promise for claws, get hunger curse for bite. Dual cursed for branded and gave hunger not improve because it doesn't matter. Use nat attacks. At level 3 get another nat attack with revelation and power attack.

You at level 5 use Cha for fort because curse, reflex, armor and initiative. Then with another feat you can use it for mind effecting too.

I'm on my phone while driving in the dark so this isn't as detailed as it could be. Did I miss anything? Also lore oracle could work, drop the nat attack and get wizard spells once a day. Cast divine favor with fate's favored for better damage and use a two handed weapon.

Actually lore would just be straight better.

So Angle-Kin Dual Cursed Branded/Hunger Lore Oracle.

Uses Cha to basically everything but damage.

Stregone Psi-Archetype guy here...
I'm considering an attempt at an "active terrain type" similar to what the 'subtypes' in the Cypher Dragon give it.

The bolts are becoming d4 based Disruptor bolts, affected only by DR/- and Hardness, but with acess to a few tricks like bypassing one pattern on the way (such as turning a hard wall into mere 'concealment' of the same grade).

I'm thinking 'active terrain' should have small bonuses but *WHAT*? Need all the standards (water/plains/swamps/mountains/forests) as well as underwater, sky and void.

Or should it just be a switchable 'favored terrain'?

Other idea to try and make it unique or interesting is that active terrain would expand at level 10 (it now becomes a bubble around you), making the terrain allow you to melee or fire your disruptor bolts without provoking, and actually detonating new terrain types around a target on hit as the 20th level capstone by which point it's probably grown enough to be "fuck you you're in lava".

Could use some criticism or help waiting on me when I wake up and hit F5.
>>
>>47815902
No I thought again Lumar is better. I'll build it for you. What level do you want?
>>
I'm going to get the chance to play a Jel! A good friend of mine is running a rise of the runelords game.

We have a beastmorph alchemist... some type of rogue, a person who *wants* to play an antipaladin (but is getting veto'd) and I've got the okay to play my homebrew race as a wilder (student surge).

The guy DMing wanted to push me towards a caster to round out the party (there will be some dmpc healer) and was entirely okay with a 'blast the fuck out of them' wilder.
>>
>>47815155
>>47815120
Did- did no one vet these conversions?! Who in their right fucking mind did all this? Some of these are absolutely garbage and the others are fucking outrageous. Most of them get no armor proficiency, yet get simple and martial- and for some unknown reason the person who made these conversions apparently though handing out "Utility spells" like BEAST SHAPE II and TONGUES quantified class abilities.

Dafuq, man.
>>
>>47815953
And YES, the idea that passed through my head for better or worse was "pattern-thingy geomancer"; a bigger/better distort pattern than "just this one guy" and "that trap". Much less defensive/self-buff ones than actual cryptics so better disruptors.

>>
>>47815937
No. Actual optimize build doesn't have glaring weakness. Stat array like >>47815859 is optimize. Natural 18 CHA before racial adjuatment is just stupid min-maxing that will create trouble when you can't be at your "max".
>>
>>47815999
with INT, damage feats, growing numbers of said dice for base damage; I wrote that part just in case it needs something to hold it back a bit.
>>
>>47815937
Technically, but min-maxing is a more extreme form of optimization, that tends to sacrifice overall functionality for excellence in a particular area.
>>
>>47816028
one certainly should learn to soften their touch, that their character gain much more in numerous situations and statuses than if he expended great effort for a small extra gain in their most powerful ability.

Eventually one can even learn to take advantage of such 'spreads', and may in fact overtake that one overspecialization at its own game, sometimes.

Why is DSP allowed to sell forum homebrew-tier monster classes for real money?
>>
>>47816240
Because people pay for them. Why are any TTRPG producers able to do that?

Or being stuck in a pit, or falling on your ass (grease), or other detrimental conditions such as dazed forever. (You think dazing fireball is a PC only ability? Reflex can matter more than just damage.

>>47816286
Wait, what? Alight, this is a source for genuine concern. You can't have succubutt without wings.
>>
>>47816286
>>47816347
Wings (Ex): At 2nd level, a set of batlike wings sprouts from a succubus’ back. She can use these wings to glide, negating damage from any fall and allowing 20 feet of forward movement for every 5 feet of descent. She glides at a speed of 30 feet with average maneuverability. She cannot use her wings to actually gain altitude; she merely coasts in other directions as she falls. At 6th level, her wings grow stronger, and she gains the ability to fly at a speed of 50 feet with average maneuverability. While a succubus is encumbered or wearing medium or heavy armor, her fly speed is reduced by 10 feet.

Can a Tower Shield Warder work?

I'm a bit hesitant based on the fact that you can't Shield Bash with it and Iron Tortoise likes it's bashing.

On the other hand: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/mobile-stronghold-combat looks like fun to combo with it. Let's you skimp a bit on the vs attack Counters.
>>
>>47816765
STUPENDOUS STRENGTH (COMBAT)
Your massive strength allows you to wield equally
massive weapons.
Prerequisites: Str 17, base attack bonus +1.
Benefit: You can wield normally two-handed weapons
as one-handed weapons, and normally one-handed
weapons as light weapons. When wielding a weapon in
this manner, you treat it in all ways as being that type of
weapon, rather than a weapon of its normal handedness.
In addition, you do not take the normal –2 penalty on
attack rolls while employing a tower shield, and can
make shield bash attacks with tower shields as if they
were heavy shields.
For example, if you wield a greatclub as a one-handed
weapon, you would only add your Strength modifier to
damage rolls, rather than 1-1/2 your Strength modifier,
and you would not gain additional damage from using
a two-handed weapon if you used the Power Attack feat.
Special: If you possess the Prodigious Two-Weapon
Fighting feat from Path of War: Expanded, its effect
stacks with this feat, allowing you to wield a normally
two-handed weapon in your off hand as a light weapon.
>>
>>47816765
Obviously, just get the DM to allow a shenanigan to let shield bonuses stack, then use a tower shield AND a large steel shield with spikes on.
>>
>>47816287
I was thinking of Shaman with Slums spirit for some city shenanigans.

Interesting. Alright. So that's 5 feats spoken for already (Stupendous Strength and the Mobile Stronghold Chain).

What other feats are essential for a warder? As I was hoping to go with Ordained Defender (Both for fluff and for the Reformation Inquisition) but that costs 2 of the bonus feats a warder gets.
>>
>>47816805

>>
>>47816856
DSP Savage monster book.
>>
>>47816846
You're a Warder, just use the counter. Stupendous Strength, Defensive Expertise and extended defense do everything that the Mobile Stronghold chain seems to, apart from providing cover.
>>
>>47815120
The guardinals helped the party to negotiate a deal with a king who had fled his demon-conquered world with an artifact that would let him create an army to take it back - an artifact that the party needs both for their own quest and because continued use of it risked causing a catastrophe that could free countless imprisoned ancient evils.
>>
>>47816896

Perhaps. Going to Mobile Bulwark Style at least seems like a decent idea. Move action for Total Cover from a direction looks nice with the fact that Initiators don't need to worry as much about Full Attacks.
>>
>>47817043
>Going to Mobile Bulwark Style at least seems like a decent idea.
No.
>>47817043
>Move action for Total Cover from a direction
As far as my understanding of cover go, you get total cover only from attackers located in crosss-shaped pattern:

pptpp
pptpp
tt@tt
pptpp
pptpp

Where @ is you, 't' are squares from which you have total cover (if you have four shields), 'p'are squares from which you have regular cover.
>>
>>47817083
I think the outer edges are also going to be 't' squares since it states "total cover against
attacks passing through the selected edge of your space" for Mobile Fortress. So if any lines are drawn through that edge of your space, you gain total cover against it.
>>
>>47815120

I actually dislike the idea of making the Psi-Archetype worse than the base one just for the sake of being "unique". At that point why bother making a Psi archetype at all? Active Terrain in shit doesn't really fit Psionics well.

You're bolts are weaker, they aren't affected by DR(energy isn't effected by DR anyway), if the Stregone can't already punch through resistance there are ways to do that already without class features, and your class abilities would be hampered by location.

You're basically punishing the player for NOT being an arcane caster or wanting some different flavor. Stop it. I'd say make the Psionic class stander blasty stuff swapping Acid for Sonic, and make a separate "geomancer" style archetype that's compatible with everything.
>>

Isn't there actually a spell in the BoEF that can not only restore your virginity, but restore your mental virginity?

Like, I think the spell outright states it more or less "turns back the clock" and erases all signs of sexual activity, making the girl or guy as pure as a virgin, and the mental aspect erases all memory of sexual activity (the romance remains, though.)

the DR was added as an explicit statement BECAUSE normally energy wouldn't work on it. untyped damage works rather well against objects, and from early on.

the terrain thing I'm not sure about myself, but I can guarantee the overall bolt result is/was at least as capable overall: there's no use for focused and piercing bolt abilities either, which get replaced for other things, as it certainly would be a nasty nerf if they were kept with untyped damage.

Do recall 1d4 vs 1d6 is one damage per die on average, so 4 total at 18th.

>>47818177
Nevertheless, I've removed the DR component.

She was a pretty but quite simple village girl that proclaimed her love for our Oracle under the harvest moon and begged him to stay with her and start a family. He denied her, and we left the next morning.

Things got awkward when we discovered she ran after the party and got turned into a vampire after a local blood-sucking aristocrat noticed the lovely farm-girl in the big city.
>>

>>
>>47815937
I always thought as it being similar, but nearly reversed.
Minmaxing=I do a couple things absurdly well, to the point of having multiple detriments when attempting to do other things.

Optimizing=I try to do a bunch of stuff pretty good, but while covering any major weaknesses as much as possible.
>>
>>47819601

I didn't fuck up, the Oracle fucked up. Turns out she never realized her childhood crush was gay.

The relationships are really fucked up in this campaign, our Bard Diva has been pregnant since session 1 with her husbando noble's baby, and last session we discovered husbando was not only an antagonist, but a monstrous one engaged in hideous blood experiments. We have no idea what's going to slither out of that girl's womb.

The only character with a "normal" lover would be mine, who knocked up a Hamadryad when he was young and had to care for the changeling child that came from it after she had to flee to a magical refuge after the BBEG started hunting for her. We're about to reunite with the Hamadryad, but she's apparently dying as her magical energy is seeped out to maintain the barriers protecting the village from monsters.
>>
>>47819626
Nah, the most optimized character is incredibly minmaxed.
Minimize your uselessness.
Maximize your brokenness.
>>
So, I'm about to join my first ever PF campaign, and my to-be GM suggested I look up Varisa, the Pathfinder society, Tian Xia (because of how my character is set up, being a hungerseed tiefling) and Golarion in general.

Has someone done kind of a "here's the basics of what you need to know while starting PF" of those? Starting out just reading over the wiki is kind of making my brain fizzle out.

I also forgot to mostly write down what he said about the current campaign. So I don't have anything specific to focus on, beyond how a character's backstory could end up involving tian xia and still be on another continent with a pathfinder society group.
>>
>>47819626
Optimizing = Doing your best to make your character better at a task or a set of task.
Min-maxing = Optimizing for a specific task or a specialty(dealing damage, being stealthy motherfucker, survivability, etc) even at a significant cost to everything else.

So min-maxing is just a subset of optimizing, really.

>>
>>47819905
I'm attempting to break a few barriers in the campaign I'm playing now.

tldr of it my character ran one of the most degenerate, horrific brothels/sex dungeons in the kingdom. Noble clients, high ranking military, rich traders, all fucking anything and everything. Including but not limited to children, animals, chairs, each other, in all manner you can think of.. normal sex, standard bdsm shit, torture & snuff, whatever they paid for.

So far nothing explicit has been said in character but we have come across a few very nervous nobles who, for some reason the rest of the party can't explain, did us favors.

Should be fun.

How good are PoW characters at nova?
I haven't fully investigated all the classes and archetypes but it seems like the only one capable of doing good nova shit is Stalker, and it doesn't seem that strong.
>>
>>47821095

I forgot to add, please quantify what 'nova' means? Are we assuming a full array of buff spells from the Cleric/Wizard/etc? >>47821164
assumes appropriate wealth, gear and feats/stats for that level and what the build is capable of by itself.

And again, it varies by classes. Certain builds may do more in 1pp. Path of War definitely does more DPR depending on your build and Disciplines chosen.
>>
>>47821044
when will people learn?

everything.
>>
>>47821170

At its core BDSM, or just bondage, is about consent and trust between the two people practicing it. There wasn't any of that in 50 Shades of Grey, last I checked.

It is a good example of someone inserting abusive relationships into a backdrop featuring bondage.
>>
>>47821183
Level 6? Should be more like 2d12+1d6+52 for a barbarian's full go.
>>
>>47821191
Not particularly I think, you're limited to a swift and full-round at best which isn't enough to burn through everything. Maybe a Kineticist.
>>
>>47821234
How are you getting +52 from two attacks?
>>
>>47821266
Greataxe: 12(1.5xstr mod)+6(power attack)
Bite: 8(str mod)+4(power attack)

I am wrong it's +48 not 52. I did 1.5x str for the bite by accident first time.
>>
>>47821191

What level? Yes they can do nova rounds very well thanks to bursts are appropriate combos.

My 5th level Steelfist Commando Warlord with Broken Blade does an average of ~ 112.5 damage on a nova around, assuming all of their attacks from Steel Flurry Strike hit and they've used the Bronze Knuckle boost and are in Pugilist Stance.

That's unarmed, too. I'm sure someone would cheese it and somehow get a greatsword mixed into there. Probably better on a Stalker, too, who could re-roll attack rolls and increase over-all crit chance.
>>
>>47821297
Oh duh, I forgot PA damage.
>>
Speaking of damage...
Is [2d6 + 1d6 + 1d6 + 13] an acceptable damage roll for a level 5 Warder focusing on AoO/battlefield control? Should it be higher at this level? I'm not expressly trying to be doing as much damage as possible, I'd just like to know if this is garbage or not. The party has a supportive caster, me as the control character, and two DPR machines, so my damage can be a bit eh, but if that roll is shit then I'll need to work on upping it.
We've yet to fight anything truly fearsome (session 3 this weekend) so I don't know firsthand how my damage compares to the party or the enemies...
>>
>>47821308
Just in general.
I like playing nova characters and my GM is introducing PoW into our next game, so I was looking at my options.
>>
>>47821329

That's 27 damage, which is passable at level 5. Optimized DPR at level 5 using CRB is around 15. Though I will remind you, that calculation is using a Falchion Fighter with Core Rulebook Only and not reflective of 1pp material's power level anymore, including the Fighter who has gotten better over the years at damage output.
>>
If you're a Soulknife with Focused Offense and you use a two-handed mindblade, do you add 1.5x your Wis bonus to the damage?
>>
>>47821164
>Since I believe everything should be balanced around Core so it doesn't cause a powerclimb, I chose CRB only.

( - 3 - )p
>>
>>47821349

If you want to do big damage nova rounds then look at Broken Blade, Thrashing Dragon and Primal Fury. Black Seraph and Scarlet Throne can do some decent damage setups as well, but not as easily as those three.

Personally? I would do Thrashing Dragon primarily. If you go Dexterity, try it with two Wakizashi using the Daisho Expert feat from Path of War Expanded, and of course Weapon Finesse, Deadly Agility and Piranha Strike. If strength based, grab Prodigious Two Weapon Fighting and dual wield scimitars like our Lord and Savior Drizz't do'Urden.

From there, you primarily use Thrashing Dragon maneuvers, but you'll want to pick up some key strikes from Primal Fury, such as Raging Hunter Pounce which lets you pounce.

Proceed to make shitloads of attacks every round even when you move. Enjoy skirmishing and doing big damage.
>>

I don't agree with his statement either, but it does provide a useful baseline for dpr on Basic Bitch builds. Something that Paizo doesn't seem to want to move past with their own material when it comes to melee brutes, which is useful if you do any of their (older) APs.

My first ever character death just happened yesterday.
I've got a few questions for experienced GMs:
How do you go about introducing that player's new character without it being a shitty asspull? You can't give me direct advice since you don't know the game I'm running, and that's not what I'm asking for. I'd just like general tips on how to do it smoothly.

Second, what do you do if the party resurrects the old character? Where does the new one go? Do you let the player have two? Relegate one to NPC? Both seem unfair, don't you think?
For those curious, the PC was a Warder. I set up a scene where the party was to watch a bunch of really strong enemies slaughter random peasants to set them up as new villains. The game's taking on a guerilla-resistance-group "sabotage and skirmish" style, you see.
They were hiding in a basement with a small window they could peek thru, lead there by an NPC. The Warder wouldn't stand for the senseless slaughter and ran outside, despite the warnings both in-game and out-of-game. He even made 2 consecutive strength checks to break free from the party trying to restrain him. He got an Extended Defense off and let about 15 peasants escape, but died the next round.
The player's fine with this outcome, don't worry about that.

The GM is a pretty cool dude all things considered, but like another player, they have their absolutely bizarro moments.

GM is male, but we play online and over text so I can't be assed to care how gay it is. Especially since most of the PCs and "cohorts" he plays are female. Playing overwatch and hearing them talking on comms was surreal.

Dryads and Huldra are not limited to Druids, you silly billy.

How many cavaliers do you think there are that have professed themselves in service to a great lady of the woods, to do great deeds in her name and thus earn her love, asking for a single white branch from her home tree as a token of her favor?

Hell, Huldra are more interested in woodsmen and farmers than Druids. They like their men strong and clever, not covered in branches.

My gm is letting me get creative with the necrocraft rules and I'm trying to think up some interesting undead to Frankenstein up, such as, for example, meat puppets combined with bleeding skeletons for a, if not exactly superpowerfull undead, one that is decently tough and hard to kill.

It's sort of a weird submission thing.

Like, do you understand why people have rape fantasies? Obviously they don't actually want to be raped, but in the safe space of a fantasy it can be kind of hot to be overpowered in that way. It's a raw sexual experience that's mostly about the power of the participants - a need to feel powerless, to be objectified in a way that's safe and controlled. Pretty common in people who feel rejected and objectified in real life, since it gives them an outlet for those feelings that makes them feel like they have control of them.

Vore's basically the same thing.

Holy shit.

Why have I never throught of doing this?

The noble knight or holy warrior pledging their sword to the honor of a nymph or Hamadryad, and going off on adventure to do good for them.

It's very Arthurian, and it gives your character a guaranteed S-tier courtly love waifu.

Oh, those practically write themselves, anon.

Want a Hamadryad or Nymph? Pledge your devotion to her. Huldra? Perhaps the young boy became a man in the arms of a mysterious forest bound woman, and was imparted with a bit of Huldra Luck that filled him with *determination* to become the greatest man there is (fun fact, this is actually a trait in People of the North, it gives you a free +1 to any roll once a day.)

Selkie? That's easy; he met a woman by the sea and became stricken with love towards her, and when he returned to the beach to pledge marriage she was gone. He spends his days now longing for the sea, to meet his love once again.

Oh, here's a variation of Nymph I absolutely adore; the Nymph's pool has become tepid and poisoned with the run-off from a nearby mine. Too weak to relocate, she almost consigned herself to her fate... Until your character came along. Seeing in him salvation, she declares your character her champion, and asks you to seek a new pond within which she could be revitalized.

>both of us are constantly saving eachother's asses, and in one instance I had to stand over her unconscious body and cleave through half a dozen enemies to keep her from getting her throat slit
>during a downtime day for recovery and planning what to do next, have a bonding moment as the bloodrager realizes he really likes this middle aged elf, and hates seeing her get hurt

Barbarian, who set out to slay the tyrannical dragon to impress the warrior princess of a neighbouring tribe.
Bard, who learned music and magic to impress a young love, but with his affections ignored, seeks grand adventures to act as inspiration to weave new music from.
Cleric, visited by an angel and given a divine prophecy, and seeks guidance and companionship through that celestial.
Fighter, a member of the royal guard, who fell in love with the prince/ss, and pledged themselves to a quest announced by the king to impress them.
Paladin, the devoted protector of a priestess, who promises to return to her once a great evil has been slain.
Ranger, a commoner who wandered too far into the wilds, but was taken in by a nymph who offered them her blessing.
Rogue, whose partner in crime was arrested by authorities or kidnapped by a rival band of thieves, sets out to try and rescue them and confess their affections.
Sorcerer, who in an act of selfless bravery protected an innocent, unarmed individual, who turned out to be a dragon in disguise. They blessed the now-sorcerer with powerful draconic magic.

I just realised after writing this that 90% of them consist of impressing a love interest... works for me.

How?
Huh?
I want in!

Path of War, Dervish Defender Warder or a Warlord, take Thrashing Dragon and Primal Fury, Prodigious Two-Weapon Fighting so you can use one-handed weapons as light weapons, dual wield scimitars like motherfucking Drizz't.

Sanity system, which I expect to be as horrifying as romance, caravan and kingdom building combined.

God damn it anon I didn't post it in the thread for a reason.

What's the point of colors in top right corner? Avoiding decision paralysis of which part of flat colored image to poke with color picker?
>>
>>47823439
Yeah, it's a fairly common thing to do in reference sheets, to provide a reliably clean splotch of each color used.
>>
>>47823410
It was the opposite.

Why are Kobolds such a shit PC race?
Is there 3pp that makes them not garbage?
I have always wanted to play a Kobold, but with such shit racials you're locked into being a cunty little caster bitch or a joke character that gets shit on in every fight and exists solely for comedic relief.

There's actually a variant set of kobold racial traits from way back in 3.5 that's much much better as a PC option. Check it out. It's even official WotC stuff.

>>
>>47823475
They're a poor PC race because paizo are cunts. Even goblins are better off. Their stat bonus lets them jack dex into the stratosphere while their penalty is spread out.

In any case, when I played a kobold before, my DM let me rejigger their stats to be less terrible.

End result was -2 strength, +2 dex and int. Also scrapped light sensitivity, without losing darkvision.

My girl was a mechanic. She started off with an axe, but before long acquired an adamantium wrench. It was apparently supposed to be a loot item but...

Growing up, you idolized a dragon, and you recently learned she'll hit her first mating season in a decade or so. You'll be facing some serious competition, and if you're gonna court a dragon, you gotta do it the right way.

That means being stronk and having a big horde.

Years from now, you'll invite her over for tea. The floor of the room will be hidden beneath coins and valuables, and you'll 'pull up a chair' for her by making a comfortable pile for her to sit on.
>>
>>47822698
Alternatively, female Paladin with a male angelic weapon that manifests as a spear. Jokes abound.

Or a male Paladin if you're into that...
>>
>>47823401

What the fuck kind of fetish art is this? Are you posting this with the intention of using it to prove kobolds are somehow cute?

And yeah, Kitsune are turbo-furry. I don't give a shit, nobody plays them like that because the lore was crap.
>>
>>47823596

>The spear talks and is FABULOUS

Then don't get pissy at people for playing kobolds the way THEY want.

Also, dude, if I was posting my kobold fetish art, you'd KNOW it.
>>
>>47823643

Because I'm talking in the perview of a character that can exist in a campaign.

The Paladin becoming a sword ends the Paladin. Paladin getting his waifu in a sword does not.

Make it a singing sword that sighs when you sheath it.

Strangely enough, I have a character who intends to do something similar, though he likely won't wait for mating season and he won't try to woo her. His solution to the conundrum is dex damage and taking her.

Ach, it sadly drew to a close. Attendance issues were getting to be a bit of a problem, and he was finding himself less interested in the setting. I'm gonna bring Lass back someday though. She's worth it.

>>47823706
I don't actually have a phenomenal amount of kobolds, sadly, but I'll post kobolds with my other posts for a while if you'd like.
>>
>>47823697

Which one?
>>
Paladin mounts get a bonus to int, so it's ok.
>>
>>47823731
Heavens no, if I were a paizo employee I'd be doing wisdom damage and then mind controlling her.

In the immortal words of Sam Hyde, The weak should fear the strong.
>>
>>47823594
>>47823717

Okay, let's actually consider this.

What is the best backstory to weave if you want to have a dragon wife or husband?

Like, if you were the DM and saw this character's backstory, the only question you'd ask is "what color do you want the dragon?"
>>
>>47823757
This was not a place I expected to see some of wsache's art show up. Least of all his secret horse stuff.

It'd have to be a damn high level character.
Otherwise, an easy way to to pull it off would be setting up a dragon to try and go for and then have that stuff develop on the side as the game goes on.
>>
>>47823757
>>47823790

THIS IS HOW YOU GET AGATHIONS

STOP.
>>
>>47823794

That's what I meant, a dragon you are pursuing for a wife or husband, not necessarily your wife or husband at campaign start.
>>
>>47823818
Well, that's fairly easy - just ask your GM if you can do that, and if so, set it up with them.
>>
Why isn't anyone ravenously REEEEEEing the idea of courting an actual dragon but for some reason the thread almost imploded when some autist posted about kobolds?
I don't understand.
I mean, yeah, I don't like kobolds either, but what the fuck?
>>
>>47823771
We're in a game where we are scions of gods. Born of the All Mother it's his destiny to lord over all dragons. He decided to start with a legendary dragon that ended the first Game of Thrones a couple hundred years ago.

But no, seriously, there are regions like ... Ok Taldor would be the only place where you would have a dragon waifu and the dragon wouldn't have captured you to rape you. Hatcheries of Apsu are actually quite common in the region, that could be a legitimate excuse, as could the merging of... either brass or bronze dragons that have economic interests in Taldor, and a human's business interests resulting in a somewhat political marriage.
>>
>>47823852
Dragons can cast alter self.
>>
>>47823852

Dragons are powerful and can turn into beautiful men and women.

Kobolds are sniveling little losers that have literally no redeemable qualities beyond a persecution complex.

We like dragons, we don't like people trying to say kobolds are somehow amazing.
>>
>>47823626
This... is actually pretty magnificent. I have planning to do.
Does the Paladin realise where his heart truly lies and settles down to start a family with the angel once said celestial returns to his true form?

>>47823683

> Sighs
> Doesn't moan

Anon, please.
>>
>>47823880
Are you implying a kobold can't have caster levels or simply be the recipient of a spell?

>>47823883
Oh so it's because kobolds are written as worthless scum. I getcha now.
>>
>>47823892
I think the celestial-spear should die tragically but heroically to cause the Paladin to realize he liked his flamboyant best friend as more than just a friend and compatriot, but only once it's too late.
>>
>>47823929
And the paladin resigns himself to a lonely fate having never confessed his undying love, only to realise that the greatest paladins are uplifted as true celestials, and by continuing their holy work he might be able to stand alongside the celestial-spear once more in the LG aligned afterlife, with the spear of course in his true angelic form.
>>
>>47823314

>>
>>47823929
>>47823990
Now we only need to fit piercing the heavens joke in.
>>
>>47824030
I thought we agreed he was using a spear, not a drill?
>>
>>47823883

I do kinda like the Kobolds when they're genuinely clever but have Napoleon complexes the size of something much taller than Napoleon.
>>
>>47824043
Spears are pretty much just really inefficient drills. It just means that he'll have to do a lot more thrusting.
>>
>>47824068
What if we make a rifle that shoots spears?
>>
>>47824119
We can make it hand held and have it shoot tiny spears instead! Though instead of taking the time to load and crank the tiny spears back maybe we can just use our own strength and pull a string taut to launch the tiny spears forward.
>>
>>47824162
The point of rifling is that it makes a spear into makeshift drill, duh.
