Smarmy raven familiar is best familiar.

While my 'Master' is in his classes, I'll fly around the city mostly indepently, cribbing tricks from whoever I can spy on - mostly stuff like psion academies and wuxia monasteries.

If I have to choose a single spell to use with the wand, it'd be Totally-Not-Alter-Self to get the benefits of being human(oid).

I'm surprisingly good in a fight; although I can't stay horse-sized for long, my ability to form a stone (or metal; it doesn't really matter) coating around myself at the cost of all flight better than 'controlled fall' makes for a hell of a divebomb along with the pseudocharge. At the very least, it lets me multitask between staying large and wing-slapping people terrified of the sudden bird statue.

Also, Prodigal shouldn't require giving up the focus power(s); it basically lets you give up some build versatility in favor of looking cool.

Honestly, I'd do either of those if I felt they would be enjoyed enough / net me as many (You)s. A novel wouldn't be too much "harder" than a CYOA. Certainly quite a bit different, but I don't think it would be too much more difficult than a large, lore-filled CYOA. And computer games aren't tricky either. I've made the framework for some fairly simple things before just to quit working on it as soon as it came around to populating it with content. Normally they just have one working level.

I stand by what I said, most people make CYOAs because it's easy and quick, it gives you a creative outlet that can be brought to completion in a single day, unlike most other things you could be doing which would likely take months. Sure there are exceptions, but exceptions just point out what's normal by distancing from it.

It says right on the fucking description for Ouroboros that combined with Swarm, you get true and rapid regeneration.

That means your cells regenerate, which would mean that the cancer can be staved off by your cells healing quickly enough. It's like Deadpool. He has cancer, but he can regenerate from it enough to not be killed by it.

Huh, so it does, my mistake. I would still argue that the swarm does not prevent death by the cancer, deadpool is a special case in which his healing ability actively fights the cancer, whereas here it is implied the cancer is a product of the synergy itself, but will admit I was wrong about it not being stated that they synergize, myself only having skimmed the entries for the term cancer. It is inaccurate to say this is the same situation as deadpool, but my grounds for disbelieving the swarm would protect you from the cancer are shakier, so I will wait until clarification from the author is given, as you yourself also seemed somewhat uncertain when originally proposing the question when you posted the CYOA.

Yeah that's a part of it for me too, but there's not that much I could do for Chere and Yin along those lines, and dating Miya out of pure pity feels wrong. Andrea and #056 sort of work along those lines, but not as well as Twile. A big part of that being how easy it is to help them just by taking their library options. If it's easy it can't be special.

The build itself is pretty gud, you didn't mention your Focus but since you mentioned the ability to go horse-sized I'd imagine you went with Transmuter. The idea of a giant bird wreathed in metal crashing into the earth on top of your enemies will never not be awesome and hilarious in my head.

I did listen when you mentioned Focus power about Prodigy, and figured with some fluff and a hefty "time" penalty, I'd make it more like-able but still something to consider before taking it. As I said before, meaningful choices and all that.
