And a typical bachelor's degree with honours takes 4 years.

Note quite. Although Beyn's banished, Cinder has her own personal reasons to pursue her. The effects of her "banishment" are actually pretty light as no one cares to enforce it much. Mainly it just means that she's only allowed to return home if she does so stealthily in the cover of night & leaves by the time anyone notices anything amiss. If they find evidence that she visited later, they'll just ignore it. Still, just to not be labelled an outcast would be nice. Because of the nature of the Library bonus, you're practically may as well take the drawback bonus since since otherwise she'd still have that preventing her welcome return.

The Electric Fan blows away pests & certain forms of generic bad luck (like a tree about to fall over on your house). The biggest limitation is that it can't do much against people because they might just get upset and persevere. That, or contact you through email.
I can understand you dislike of squeaking. It only really occurs if she / you (with bonus) rub your hands together or something.

Beyn uses the summoning scroll to summon any one of the 3 item options. Getting more scrolls means you can get all three. Basically her banishment went like this: Won Cinder's diary in a bet. Cinder made a counter-bet to win it back. Cheated. Beyn stole it with ninja stealth. Cinder cried to her mom (village elder). Beyn was "banished." That's why the banishment isn't taken that seriously. It is expected to only last until Cinder & Beyn make up... Even with the library bonus, Cinder will come running if Beyn returns home. But really, watching Senran Kagura in your house every morning while you eat cereal isn't the worst of fates. Might be some occasional damages, though.

No I'm not in the army or super interested in chemical weapons, although if I go back to college it might be for Chemistry/Teaching. I'm just a poor worthless bastard that had the misfortune to live in Alabama for way too long.

If I was going to fight a war, I'd certainly consider cooking up some chemical type weapons though, especially if I was part of a group that had almost exclusive access to flying machines. I am the stereotypical Battle School Harem Protagonist, crossed with Iron Man, flying around in my own suit of personal power armor. I'm way too old for Job Corps, and 4chan in general. I worked for years as a trucker for decent money before falling apart, and I can't go back to it right now because I can't get a medical card, or pass the federal screening to carry hazmat anymore.
