Eternal Masters draft should be batshit off the wall lunacy that feels reminiscent of legacy itself. If I wanted a normal experience I would save money and PLAY A FUCKING NORMAL DRAFT.

By "balancing for draft" they removed any desire for me to draft it.

Seeing as the card is restricted in Vintage and banned in legacy, the real value of the card comes not out of it's legacy playability, but out of it's EDH playability (and crypt is broken to all hell in EDH). If it were banned from EDH, the price would tank.

First box was OK but nothing to write home about, Mana Crypt and Sneak Attack were the big mythics and it had a foil Shardless Agent.
The second one had a foil Force of Will, a Karakas, Mind sculptor, Foil Cabal Therapy, Foil Nimble Mongoose, and a foil Pyroblast

The foils save this set so hard

Got two packs. First had a Maelstrom wanderer, so I was feeling g alright. At least it was worth the pack. Second pack rare was a Toxic Deluge. Fucking draft balance.

Draft is the primary format I play for FNM so I love a good limited set. But making mediocre removal take up a rare slot is fucking stupid for a Master's set.

Just found out my LGS is doing a draft tomorrow for 30 burgerbux

I won't open my box till tomorrow night with friends but my city's trading facebook group is packed with cards out already and I'm seeing dozens of wastelands, fow, karakas and even a box with two normal jaces.
Maybe WotC messed up the randomization or maybe they knew to put a money card in every box to avoid a second holocaust.

My box was ALMOST garbage. I got the Foil Pyro and Force in the last 2 packs. I also got a Chrome Mox that's already in an edh deck.

The only eternal formats i play are pauper and EDH. Any big price drops I should be aware of? I tey not to buy sealed products outside draft.
Main commander decks are Daretti and Riku. Was considering making BG Eldrazi which can use the cheaper entomb, vampiric tutor ect.

It's a really good limited card. Turns unneeded land drops into 1 mana Dragon Fodders (play land, tap it to pay one), can sacrifice additional lands for even more pushing power, can make emergency chump blockers.

Overall a really good finisher for an aggressive deck. WAY too slow for constructed though.

Currently, this is roughly 570. With the rest of the box, I'd say in total I pulled 600. Foil Force of Will (from the first pack) makes up the majority of that.

So i drafted twice last night, 50 dollars for the first one, First pick deluge and built a WB value deck, got to finals, won 4 packs after losing there, used three to enter the second draft. First pick Deluge again because its fucking insane, Begin building the exact same deck until in pack 2 I open a foil sylvan library and an Argothian enchantress. Got to take them both because based LGS lets everyone just have their foil. Switched to BG enchantress deck because i could and was ahead for the night. Random pack i had left over had a deathrite. All in all, 16/16 sentinel spider made the night worth it.

I just spent $18 on a pack and got a LEGENDARY DRAGON! (bladewinged dragon or something) He's worth a lot right /tg/?

Drafted last night, single elimination, eight players. Got second place with W/U/b fliers. Let me tell you, three Pilgrims Eyes makes three colors much more manageable. Second pack gave me Serendib Efreet and Baleful Strix and opening pack three gave me a Jace.
Match 2 might not have gone so well if my opponent had

See, I was at one life and had my Efreet and a Pilgrims Eye. I'd been plinking away at him trying to get his life to the magic number. On my last turn I make my attack as usual and he takes, I think he had seven life left, and then flashback and boom. I still wonder why he didn't just block with his bees at some point. If he had done so at any point, it literally would have won him the game.
Match 3 was a blowout, I never had a chance. Dude opened a foil Wee Dragonauts in his first pack and then was passed a Wee Dragonauts right after. He went U/R burn with those two, two Young Pyromancers, and a bunch of other crazy bullcrap.

Lesson learned from the night:

Went to a draft last night, 3-0'd it so it paid for itself! It's good because the two most expensive cards I opened were a Wall of Omens and a foil Innocent Blood, lel

W/U flyers was wide open and I also got four Hondens: 2 of the white ones, 1 blue one, and one red one.

Seriously, the Shrine deck is legit. I went 2-0 in every match because I was gaining 4+ life a turn, drawing multiple cards, and dealing a ton of damage. Most games I ended up winning with 30+ life.

Not to mention the fact that cards like Serra Angel and Pacifism are insane.

Dude I beat Round 2 was the player next to me. He opened a Mana Vault. Still managed to beat him pretty handily and he never drew it

Buddy of mine and I drafted out a box and split up the value after. Notable pulls were Karakas, Wasteland, Sinkhole Vampiric Tutor, Sylvan Library, Shardless Agent, Maelstrom Wanderer, foil and nonfoil Toxic Deluge, foil Cabal Therapy, foil Unexpectedly Absent, and some nice other goodies like a playset of Kird Apes, foil Faithless Looting, Isochron Scepter, Mom, Chain Lightning etc. Ended up trading in the foil Looting, foil Deluge, and foil Unexpectedly Absent for ~$60 as well as some other random junk I had and kept a good ~$80 in value after spending ~$50 in cash on my half of the box. Overall I'm pretty happy.

Opened a sealed pool worth roughly 80 USD for 80 CAD, which is fairly decent.

Jace is fucking busted. Eight and a Half Tails is a bitch too. This set is really bullshit at times. Ended up 3-2 drop (64 players, 6 rounds, top 8 makes money, the rest doesn't)

Drafted RGw elfchantments, got passed a gamble and two Bloodbraids (one foil) and pulled three ancestral masks. Also got two chain lightnings and an imperious perfect for a solid draft pool.

Went 4-1 in a 20-man, and I won two games with mad uphill battles. One game was pretty even until the guy dropped a Sphinx of the Steel Wind. I probably would have scooped cuz 'pro-red pro-green lol', but I had a token with an Ancestral Mask and a Seal of Strength on the table so I played it out. Two turns later I had another mask and Armadillo Cloak on it, making him something like 16/16 with all the trimmings. The other game, my opponent dropped an Isochron Scepter turn two with a Swords stuck under it. Somehow I kept abusing Wirewood Savage + Bloodbraid and pumped out enough creatures to plink him before he got wise, and I finished him off with Chain lightning and Carbonize.

Overall it was the most fun draft I've been to in a long time, even if every other person was playing UBx control. Also got to trade for Wastelands, a Dack, and some other gravy. 10/10 would stomp again.

Opened and picked foil Vampiric Tutor, Sensei's Divining Top and Maze of Ith draft 1, won 1st place with mono black tempo.
Opened and picked Wasteland, Maelstrom Wanderer and foil Unexpectedly Absent draft 2, won 1st place with an old school land-chumpblocking Serra Angel deck.
Opened and picked Sneak Attack, foil StP and foil Hydroblast draft 3, went 3-2 with mono-blue control.

It's the most fun I've had drafting outside of cube ever, the archetypes can be brutal but card quality is so awesome you can pretty much build any weird shit you want unless you truly pick the worst shit off every booster on purpose.

Sad twist of fate tho, all three boxes we opened had three mythics, al three had one of those mythics be Sphinx of the Steel Wind.
