How powerful would some of the larger Space Hulks be?

Enough to require an exterminatus fleet to destroy?

If armed and crewed by Orks or a deseprate CSM/Dark Mechanicus army, how would one compare to an Emperor Class battleship?

Usually they are more a threat because of their sheer mass that is heading towards something important like a planet. Space hulks, as far as I remember, do not have weapons and are an amalgamation of derelict ships that become trapped in the warp and sometimes house xenos and chaos

I imagine it'd be unsteerable given all the engines pointing in different directions

A space hulk is made up of derelict ships and other bits of junk that have fused together in the warp. The threat comes more from whatever horrors are lurking onside than the hulk itself as most of the weapon systems no longer work and are scattered about pointing in random directions.

How easy is it destroy a hulk?

Can you just blow it to bits with a starship or two? Or do you need to drop off a "package" inside?

Depends on the hulk and what might be on it. If something of value is identified, they will send in to retrieve it. Usually it's blow it up from a distance to prevent contact with whatever might be inside. Sometimes it takes entire exterminatus fleets

The story Death of Integrity goes into this. It takes weeks of constant bombardment for a single ship to break apart a space hulk, and during that time it's just as likely that the space hulk will shift back into the warp and be lost again. It's usually much more effective to send in a team to plant explosives from the inside at key locations. The problem is if you actually want anything from inside the Hulk, that takes time and manpower too. Space Hulks are not something to mess around with.

That's just silly, hulls have multiple weapon systems. Depending on whether the ships in the hulk have power or have had power rerouted.

MOST hulk don't have weapon systems, as they are floating debris filled with mutantsand/or xenos, but those that are taken over by orks or csm will end up being jerry rigged, and then filled with fightes/bombers.

It is more than likely that shielding and propulsion is the same, brought online in a crude manner, shields covering only parts of the hulk, while propulsion is determined by wherever the backend of a ship points out from the conglomerate.

Fucking tough. Gazgul crashed his through a blockade fleet and into the surface of Armageddon. Enough orks lived through the crash that they were still a problem. The impact wiped out most imperial defences in the immediate area.

It wasn't weeks anon, it was days. Although that was with a joint task fleet from two Chapters.

In the Battlefleet Gothic video game, the Ork flagship was a space hulk/asteroid fitted out with weapons, shields, and engines IIRC. It was a good thirty kilometres long and steamed through battleships like they were nothing. You needed a cyclonic torpedo to kill it in the end.

Some space hulks are mimiced in a mockery of ships by the warp, such as the Judgement of Carrior (OP's pic), which specifically align the engines in the rear and resemble an actual ship.

It's entirely possible weapons system, shielding, and a crude bridge have been made in a similar manner.
