Martin freeman walked around with a middle finger as much as possible on set just so they couldn't have "behind the scenes" or "gag reels" he disliked the whole thing so much.

Yeah, it was just the green screen, it was how that scene was shot with McKellan on a different set than the rest of the dorf and hobbit actors.
There were two cameras, linked by computer to move in perfect sync and they acted out the scene all at once. The little lights with the faces there were supposed to light up when that actor spoke on the other set so Ian would know where to look and he'd hear them through an earpiece hidden under his hair.
Unfortunately, the earpiece kept failing and he kept missing his cues and after several hours he broke down and had himself a little cry and muttered "this isn't why I became an actor," not realizing his own microphone was still live so everyone on set heard him.

That said, the shitty DLC they stuck in the middle of Human Revolution's director's cut ruined my non-lethal playthrough.

At this point, my biggest problem is that the good guys are utterly pathetic, like, one Nazi bitch and her cronies takes on all the good guys, plus the the Undersiders and wins like it's nothing and that's only one of the multiple gangs of badass villains. Is this addressed at all or is it common for supers stories? And where I just left off, even more overpowered bad guys are coming to town.

Well, yes. This isn't a supers thing, this is a general fiction thing.

Part of the issue, I think, is that you keep thinking in terms of "good guys" and "bad guys" when, uh, the whole point of Worm is that morality isn't black and white like in Golden/Silver Age comics (or the general public perception of supers). Like, Worm is *specifically* a gritty take on supers (and not Nolan-style gritty, which is also pretty pathetic).

Plenty of so-called "heroes" in the Worm setting are actually pretty fucking vile, pathetic shits when they step out of the public spotlight and aren't being scrutinized.

Yeah, I get your point. Part of my beef is that it didn't seem like they would be in the beginning. I feel like Taylor would have some concerns about joining the good guys if she knew they always lost, but we never get the impression from the characters that the good guys suck. Like, seriously, the protectorate is such a fucking joke that 5 super teenagers can literally do whatever they want without worrying about getting arrested.

All I'd need is for there to be some TV broadcast saying, "The protectorate fails to protect anything for the 70th time this year." and that would satisfy my beef.

I was one of the top players on ps3 in terms of indictments, I regularly fisted some anus over in /dsg/, and my girlfriend almost dumped me because I was so obsessed with dark souls. Noobs deserve pity because they're just ignorant. I counter-twink twinking phantoms trying to counter twink twinking invaders, which means I hornet backstab phantoms at sl16 in the parish, then torture the host with bare fist attacks while they can barely do damage with their unupgraded weapons, before they summon the same phantom to get one-shotted 10 times in a row. With reference to the god part, ya sure I'm fine with that. Of course it's reasonable to call my prowess into question without a concrete representation of what I'm capable of. Doesn't change the fact that I've put enough time into dark souls 1 to have a post-graduate degree in it.

With reference to the merciful part, is the tiger not merciful for thinning the weak of the heard? I've found my own personal sun, and it's forcing players to play the game, instead of having phantoms carry them through everything.
