I know Lord of Light lets you become the god of a particular concept, but I don't know that that gives you a body in accord with that concept, if that makes sense.

I also throw in Life Fibers and Gourmet Cells for added power, then use NGE for extra-dimensional forms and more complex self control, like forming micro-scale biological supercomputers.

Shapeshifting and perfect self biological control let you do all sorts of cool things, especially if you understand how technology works at a base level. You can pretty much mimic it. Hell, throw in the biological memory bank thing from the Zerg jump, and you get knowledge of how Zerg Leviathans go FTL.

Also:

Making a Kamui whenever's pretty nifty, but you gotta consider how strong a fully infused LF being is.
Ryuuko was able to slice a pair of buildings in half from 500 ft away, without Senketsu.
Ragyo was able to easily fend off both Satsuki AND Ryuuko, when both had their kamuis, and Ragyo didn't.
It's like the difference between someone who worked for their levels in an RPG and someone who was fed and twinked all the way.
And then add in that I'm even more Life Fibers than her.

The thing with abilities/development abilities in setting is that even high level adventurers don't have all that many. They appear based on the person who has the grace, and after meeting certain qualifiers which isn't even entirely understood in some/most cases. So while you could try and hope for the best, you can't really choose them. Only case where you make a choice is when getting a development ability (at level up) and multiple options exist, then you have to choose between one. As for offering them as perks? Not sure yet, still thinking on that. Possibly as nondiscounted general perks in that case they do show up?

Define shooty shooty? Pokemon's savant gives you improbable aiming skills with firearms. Maoyuu lets you hit whatever you can see, shoots multiple of physical projectiles with every shot. Tortall also has an excellent sniping skills with a bow, and one off the best bows in chain.

With just Kamui, you're probably tied to just Satsuki's level.
Part of why Ryuuko is so fucking strong is that she was the LF hybrid offspring Ragyo was trying to make. And hence why she's able to do crazy shit and cut COVERS to shreds, even without her kamui.

I used to use notepad for my jumps, then I switched to Word for that fancy formatting and title banner goodness. I still use notepad to do rough drafts of future jumps.

For building jumps, I use OneNote. Or I would, if I had any!

Perks and Companion Options are done, Tech Packs I'd say are at 95%, but items are... well, the item selections I've got are fairly anemic.

As much as I'm loath to bring up a pretty long shitstorm from a couple of threads ago I figured I'd at least make a bid.

If you're about Many, I'd quite like to update WoW. Don't feel pressured if you're not interested, I know I probably wouldn't be in your situation but given Changeling and Eldar both basically ended up being tightened up/added to by someone else I figured it was worth putting it out there.

I don't want to write a whole WoW jump (and the idea of one jump of a setting and another of the game of a setting is quite mad) but I think the foundation laid out is such that some small tweaks here and there to the old version could make it really good with pretty minimal work put in.

There was nothing seriously wrong with it as it stood anyway as far as I'm concerned but if you're up for it let me know.

For everyone else feel free to ignore this post as further responses will probably just bring further insanity and death.

I don't remember it doing that to Ryuko, and I think that combination is meant to recreate her to an extent? In the show she's a glass canon, sure, but she doesn't bleed out to use her powers. Likewise while she's violent and then some, she's able to maintain control of herself.

I'm not an authority and I didn't make the jump, but that's my guess.

Don't forget the perk from Kantai Collection (Savage Salvage) that lets you work out how to create biological versions (if possible) of technology you've consumed.

I'm still trying to work out what combination of perks will let me consume magical effects to use them too for biomagitech (?) shenanigans. TVD lets you consume pure energy from magic but keeping the inherent effects is beyond me currently.

First evolutions, since they've changed considerably over the chain.

My starter Honedge, Shinobu.
When I met her, she was a battle fanatic that had gotten in over her hilt. She was being hunted by some surprisingly competent Rocket members for her unusual blade shape and color.
I felt her pain in my mind, and helped her out by punching that stupid rocket bird right in the beak. Flocked him right up. Really established the pecking order.
Unfortunately, the Jenny's did not take kindly to the "pokemon abuse," and we went on the wanted list.
That's how we got the Marked and Wanted drawbacks, which shaped my time in Pokemon.

So, the crew!

Purrsival the Purrloin. A cool cat, that never trips security systems.

Robert Patrick the Ditto. A rather mercurial soul. Specialized in throwing off the law with false leads.

Titania the Klefki. A manic little pixie, and the master of unlocking. And locking.
You'd be suprised how useful that is.

And our scouting party, Rick James. After this Nincada evolved, he became the twins, Rick and James. Truly, pioneers without peer.


Together, we pulled heists of legend. Back in our wild youth, we were the terror of the gangs. No secret was safe, and no safe was secret!
Good times...

Since then, I've taken the form of a Ninetales, and formed a romantic symbiosis with Shinobu. She's calmed down somewhat, without getting dull, while I gained a tendency to get all fired up.

For when I do non-imaged work, I use LibreOffice 5 simply out of sheer preference (I actually have word) and generally do it all in Times New Roman.

I try to keep everything to single pages, I hate it when sections begin right before a page break, or a single perk is a page over from the others, so I mess with the line spacing a lot to get them all on a single page. I also don't to keep my use of bold and italics to a relative minimum, so that when I really need to draw the reader's attention to something, I can use that.

For imaged, I use Illustrator and Photoshop, but recently I've been seriously considering starting to use InDesign for my typesetting, since I'm told it has way better export options, which might help with some compression issues people are apparently having.

Fonts with imaged really vary, I've used a few, last jump I imaged, I used Eurostile for aesthetic purposes. For imaged, I generally try to mimic the formatting of the source document where possible. Even when it was an imaged-first jump, I had a master document for all my content that was formatted and everything, and I worked off of that.

Alpha Centauri is great for resolving issues of having multiple copies of yourself with different experiences. Joseph Robertson and Gally effectively merged into one mind again, there's some issues with conflicting traits, but that generally just leads to me splitting off one or the other to use secondary bodies as needed. Joseph tends to be the peacetime persona while Gally comes to the forefront when things need doing fast.

In hindsight I apparently accidentally improvised something akin to Raiden's Ripper mode thing.

It should work, but well the most coherent factions philosophy is basically based on "Okay guys we have to convince everyone that the universe actually had a set of stable laws of physics so that way those other jerks can't rule over them like oppressive god-kings and so that this whole thing doesn't became a chaotic mess if everyone realizes they vote on reality", while missing that they basically did the same.

They however started to make things too stasic, but then gain the other group wants to go full mythical fantasy magical realm.

Also this reminded me of something that would help with at least trying to fix the WoD.

In the werewolf section of the cosmology most of the problems not caused by the werewolves were caused by The Weaver the cosmic force of order and stability having an existential crisis and doing something stupid. This in turn drove the Wyrm the cosmic force of destruction and renewal into just an insane destructive force.

So if you have a way to talk to cosmic forces giving them therapy might help.

That's the thing I really hate about the Garou. The cosmology is pretty much clear - the Wyrm went insane because it got sewn into the Pattern by the Weaver. But they're spending all their time fighting the symptoms instead of trying to address the cause. Literally only one Tribe gives a fuck, and that's the Stargazers, who are the rarest of them all.

Well, as has been said, the Garou are stupid. There are a lot of theories about what happened. Some say the Wyrm drove the Weaver mad, some say she drove the Wyrm mad. Either way, the obvious solution is to try and help both of them calm down. but werewolves were not built to be Gaia's thinkers, they were meant to be the soldiers, and since the fucking werewolves SLAUGHTERED most of the other breeds and made the rest hate them, they can't coordinate on their specialties like they're supposed to. And since werewolves were meant to be soldiers, they think the only solution to fixing an insane cosmic force is to fight it for eternity. Because they are stupid.

I took a fanfic-verse in Naruto, with an OC and arguable self-insert.

Not a bad one, Shikako was actually confused about how she got into that universe, having been reborn into it. She came into that world as a new life that would never have existed without her, and the story is mostly about how she deals with being in an unfamiliar (and yet so very familiar) world, and the normal -- perhaps even banal -- friendships she makes, on top of... well... just trying to survive in the batshit insanity that is Naruto.

Having landed in the antagonistic nation of Hidden Rain, it was a perfect excuse to mess with her. Indeed, I could fabricate reasons to do so with very little effort.
But despite her desire to stay relevant (not to me, but just... to the world), the truth was, I outclassed her in every possible way.

And so I kept ruining her day when I didn't mean to, I'd try to have a fun antagonism going and go to far. This had never happened before. I'm usually so much better at this, gauging people. I didn't want to hurt her. And yet, I kept almost doing that.
Eventually, one of my companions asked, "What are you doing?", and I didn't have an answer.

I just thought...
... I don't know what I thought.

Anyway, I stopped antagonizing her after that. Concentrated instead on improving life for Hidden Rain.
It was all just one big disappointment, really.

Time stops, yeah. Time accelerations and slows, yes (we've gotten so much done thanks to the variable time-stasis field from Zim). Even looking through time backwards and forwards, or across different timelines, or and creating temporarily-looping timelines.
Even most forms of jump-native time travel are okay, but we're not game enough to try out-of-jump time travel just yet.

The Jumpchan hauling me around the multiverse is annoyingly vague about whether "technically not existing" for parts of your 10-year stay that you skipped over count as "being dead" and thus ending your chain.

I abuse the hell out of lunar dial though I mostly use it to move around like the flash. I can't count on my opponent to not have some resistance to it so I change my own personal flow of time.
Though sometimes I against people I really don't like I will stop time and put kick me signs on their back or draw on their face with permanent marker if it's someone who really needs to be taken down a few pegs but that I don't hate.

Odd shape to this jump and I barely understand the second half of it. Seems like lots are about factions and shit.

Instead of doing proper research I tend to just look up specific terms and doing a google image search to try to get a grip on the setting. Babylon 5 has some unattractive aliens.

For perks I went with what I could understand. Telepath + Telekinetic are pretty much self explanatory and can apparently be boosted through weird experiments.

Chose Drop-In as if you're spending 800 CP on two undiscounted things you might as well get a lot of freebies which Drop-In gets in this jump. Iron Will, Stone Cold and Ascetism make me more stubborn, less likely to get mind controlled, less flappable and need less food, sleep and luxury. Nothing massive but can't hurt. Weird thing is that the freebies between them would cost 800 CP usually which seems pretty expensive for what you get.

Finally bought mechanic as an intro to this universe's space science can't hurt.
