So I just woke up and checked my email, and my day got to one hell of a start because this was waiting for me from Salt. It's everything I wanted and some things I didn't know I wanted on top of that.

Here is my character

• Name: Johaness Kenreik

• Role(s): He is the party wizard, and probably the only one who can steer the rest of the party in the right direction

• Goals: His goal is to write a book about the magical creatures and beasts that inahbit the setting we are playing in, that is why he joined the party in the first place, becuase bonding with new friends is also a fun thing to do, the saftey in numbers is just a nice bonus.

• Traits: He follows his own set of morals that he has formed/shaped himself and was taught by at the academy. His morals being that he shall not brake local or natural law unless there is very good reason for it he is Neutral Good

• Flaws: Johannes's flaws on the other hand is that he isn't very good when it comes to speaking up or starting up good conversations, I guess that is what happeneds when you spend many years studing arcane arts.

• Allies: Even though he haven't really had time to get to know the other adventurers in his party he has been gaining the both the trust and a start of a friendship with XXX the Gnome bard

• Enemies: No enemies as of yet as they only had to scare off a few goblins and some drunken townguards

• Other Relations: Besides his parents, Randph and Katerina Kenreik he also has his trusty ptarmigan familliar with him at all times.

She was raised by her father with the belief that it is the duty of Nobility to protect those less fortunate and as a result her drive and purpose is very strong.

Her mother died when she was very young so her main mother figure has always been her handmaiden who in contrast to her father is very wary of many of the demi-human and non-human citizens of the city. Because of this she has had very little chance to interact with them up close and tends to regard them with a sense of wonder.

Whale's been hit by absolutely everything; being a huge meathead loudmouth tends to draw fire, who'da thunk? A grenade to the chest is one thing not on his list marked 'Horrible Things I Have Survived*', true, but it was either that or let it land in the middle of the party, so of course he has to be the big goddamn hero and throw himself in the way.

Never, I'll recycle her into my writing somehow.

She was a sorclock in a setting where all magic was feared and viewed as the work of demons. Her's happened to actually be demon magic. She ended up getting a kusarigama when we made port in not!Japan so that she could pretend to do something that wasn't magic, and make incredibly sinister threats during interrogations.

I had intended to play her as fully LE, but the party were such idiots that I was actually the voice of reason and somehow LG. Did you ever see that cap about everything being skrull infiltrators? Even the innocent orphanage? That's basically what happened to my would-be evil assassin.

Never did get to save my sister's soul from my patron by releasing even more powerful demons on the world.

Literally everyone assumed she was a lesbian for some reason.

Arallios "Arry" "Moon Brook" "Fine Seeker" "Arch-Avariel of Hugs" Siannodel is a nomadic elf that was raised by his adventuring-party-tier parents and grandfather, tutored by a brass dragon in dragonspeak and desert survival, and is currently adventuring pretty much for the hell of it, and is pretty much held down by his love interest the party bard, as well as being one of few forces capable of stubborn-ing the Fighter to a standstill.

Definitely The Fool, he's wanderlust's whore, has had no prior teamworking experience, before the campaign anyway is friendly to everyone until they give him a reason not to, does things without thinking, way too willing to throw himself into his own risky plans, and pretty much only has up as a direction to go.
Also Ace of Cups, given his first pioneering into a love life as well as teamwork and friendship as a whole, the fact he loves being nice to people as well as many creatures, and that he works off his feelings more than his head in general.

• Traits: She was one of the more observant members of the party, she was a good hand with a gun, and she was always good for a laugh when she got to drunken stories of her mothers sexcapades.

• Flaws: Her pride and her paranoia has caused a lot of trouble with the law in Cheliax and Absalom.

• Allies: Her two traveling companions, one of them is a Suli Magus called Barnum, who might as well be Sinbad on crack and the other is an aquatic elf "quarter drow" druid called Yllandra

Well, the relevant time it happened, the tpk only happened because they were idiots and tried to improvise on my plan(they spiked the wine with shrooms and got the party, our infiltration cover, cancelled) And my plan would have worked flawlessly. So flawlessly in fact, I went back after the fact and did the whole thing solo. But, I had been seperated from the party and knew only OOC that they were being murdered by drow. And I refused to even try and save them. One level five sorclock aint shit against a few legions of drow. Also, FUCK any DM that uses save or sleep as a standard action at level 5.

I've not much on Arallios' deserting exploits outside of dragon training, but I do have a little story about how his grandfather Thaucian met said dragon.

• Physical Description: The body was trained to support divine energy, however, when Olga comes to study the dark arts alone, a accident warped her body, corrupting the flesh with the unholy power of the darkness. Edri saved her life before your soul was dragged to the abyss.
Olga worked to control the darkness inside her - enduring the pain, nightmares and your deepest fears - to use the combined powers of the light and darkness to accomplish her objectives.

All right, cool. I'll give the non-copyright-infringing version, since they were all actually OCs for a vidya crossover RP, but I think they can stand on their own.

The big dude is Whale (he never gives out his real name or removes his mask because he's a weirdo), a fitness maniac who *says* he served with one of America's greatest Colonels, except that Colonel's name was Sanders and all he did was grill chicken. After he got fired for eating his way through several hundred dollars worth of stock in one giant fitness binge, he heard from a friend of a friend of a friend that knew a guy who knew a guy who knew a dude that there was questionably legal work to be found for guys who weren't afraid of getting shot at, so he left the States, joined up with a group of mercs, and wound up forming a great friendship with the guy behind him.

That man is Ant, or Greg if he's not on duty, and he's a mostly straight-laced Vietnam veteran who saw some serious shit in the course of his tour. His unit was ambushed time and again, but he did his damndest to keep his unit, and everyone around him, well-supplied through pulling *all* the strings. When his unit got sent home after taking terrible casualties and he was honorably discharged, he couldn't go back to living a normal life when he felt he was actually doing good helping his fellow soldiers, so he also sought out mercenary work to fill the void.

He's a bit *off* in the head, though, after everything; everyone assumes Whale's the weird one when Ant's the dude that, if you give him access to a library full of eldritch tomes, will somehow manage to grow a man-eating tree that drops exploding fruit.

The reason they clash with the other two, appearance-wise, is that they're from normal-ish Earth and some weird shit happened that transported them and their merc group back to an alt-universe WW2.

This is not the strangest thing that's happened to them, to be honest.

Cyrille, the old man, is a retired WW1-equivalent vet turned woodsman, but back in the day he and his squad were known as the Timber Wolves for how they took one look at trench warfare, went "nah fuck that", and proceeded to pull all sorts of outrageous stealth and flanking operations instead of charging over no-man's-land to die for nothing like his superiors wanted. Officers that tried to get him to do so had a bad habit of suffering mysterious *accidents,* but nothing was ever pinned on him or his men.

He lost a lot of boys to trench-fighting and gas attacks and all sorts of hideous WW1 shit, but he made it through intact, and he'd built up such a legend for himself that both sides knew of the legendary Timber Wolf by the end of the war. Afterwards, though, instead of rising up through the ranks, he simply retired to the woods to live in peace. Built himself a cabin, set up shop, and there he stayed for a good thirty years until WW2 happened, which was when he heard a radio broadcast from Ant and Whale's boss, who was charismatic enough that Cyrille figured he still had one last good fight left in him.

This led to him meeting Gladys, the burned, scarred, and generally traumatized fifteen-year-old mechanic fleeing her home nation because she was an undesirable. When a squad came to cart her and her parents off to a labor camp, she bashed one's head open with a wrench, and his friends sliced her cheeks open in retaliation. That crushed any fight left in her, and off they went.

She became so desperate to get out of the camp that, after several months of buildup, she sabotaged the camp's refinery and blew everything to shit, her parents (probably) included. Getting caught in the blast's peripheral didn't do her face any favors, but she limped out, made it to neutral territory, and made her own way from there. Naturally, this is when she heard the same broadcast Cyrille did, and lacking anywhere safe to go, off she went to join.

Once everyone was together, they slowly get Gladys to open up, and it turns out she's a huge, huge, *huge* geek for all the futuristic (to her) tech they've got, like *tape recorders* and *helicopters,* and she's absolutely astounded no one's sporting any old-timey WW2 racism towards her. (Sometimes they have less flattering things to say about her when she pops out from some secluded dark corner and spooks the fuck outta them, but a girl has to get her kicks *somewhere*.)

That's part of the reason why she's so freaked out in that original picture; there goes Whale, one of the few people who's been *nice* to her in a long, long time, about to get his fool ass blown up bodyblocking a grenade. Guess I'll post my current fighter in a 5e campaign. He's been a reusable identity I've used in other games with different people, and every game he tends to change but still be a huge force of personality that everyone seems to enjoy.

• Name: Vindr
• Role(s): Off-tank, damage dealer, party leader(most times)
• Goals: Wants to be famous and well-liked by everyone. Tries to fulfill his own self-proclaimed titles
• Traits: Gung-ho 100% of the time and without fail will always become the center of attention. Strong, fast and extremely brave with a strong sense of camaraderie.
• Flaws: Have you ever met someone so charismatic that it starts to work against themselves, thus making them annoying and somewhat exhausting to deal with? That's Vindr, his biggest flaw is that he will never take his foot off the throttle, no matter the situation. His second biggest flaw is that he feels a huge sense of duty in protecting everyone he considers dear to him, even at the expense of his own safety. He's also quasi-delusional and inflates his own ego by quite a bit.
• Allies: His party members. Trap elf cleric, trap elf archer, female bard he has a crush on, fisher spear girl who he's warming up to and his wingman the afro wearing disco sorcerer.
• Enemies: Rival party who makes fun of him and his comrades.
• Other Relations: None at the moment.

For the weebs the best description is he's a chuuni who somehow wound up as party leader because of his quasi-fake personality.

Yeah, I'm about 80% sure JJ described her as being extremely busty, with wide hips and a thin waist. Very much the stereotypical champion of lust.

And the curse is associated with the Shard of Lust, assuming you're playing Shattered Star; if the wielded of the Shard does not have sex in the last 12 hours, they become sickened. If they wear any magic or normal armor on a body slot, they become staggered. They become extremely narcissistic, and can use Suggestion as an at-will.

The lust sword is really cool, though!

Funny part is I think her player was absent the day my boss asked me to do it. So other party members know but are roleplaying that they don't--and doing well so far--but the Commander player legit doesn't know.

Trap story it is. Here we go brutish Orc warrior learns how to disarm traps with a trap.

Traps hurt! Thug realized this as the volley of arrows buried into his flank. He did not like traps, not one bit. This was the third ouchie since they had entered this dungeon and these weren't good ouchies like battle ouchies, these were stupid dumb ouchies from tricksy-traps.

Enough was enough. Where was sneaky-sneaker when needed?! Thug turned around as he pulled the arrows from his side and looked at the rest of the party behind him. There they were all trying to pretend this wasn't going to keep happening. Even the Truthsword's face was lying to Thug. Them thought Thug was too dumb to know they was using Thug. Thug plodded over to party and glared at truthsword, then finger wiggler, then sneakysneaker in their pretty skirt. "Elf lady, why you no make traps not work before Thug am lead way into them?" Thug demanded. Excuses. SneakySneaker likes to lie, probably cannot stop. Thug grows tired of excuses. "Fine SneakySneaker if you no do it Thug be Sneaker instead." and without any warning Thug lifted the leather skirt clad elf by the legs and turned back down the hall with her over his shoulder. They struggled of course but they was not strong like Thug.

"Okay time for sneak. SHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" Thug shouted back to the party and slapped sneaker to make them quiet down. Sneaker finally stop whining. Thug start to creep down hall, poking at floor suspiciously with Sneaker's head holding the elf like a pole. Thug found next two traps and used "special disarming pole" to remove them. Thug was a good sneakysneaker afterall! Then Thug's "special pole" missed one and fire jets scorched him and his "pole". Once screams of pain from "pole" subside Thug put now naked SneakySneaker down and look at them in confusion. "You strange lady." He comments finally, "never seen one with those bits before." Then he shrugs and continues down the hallway.

Probably because she's not very lewd. She's only really had one relationship - with a stablehand when she was younger - and because of adventuring and paladining and stuff, she hasn't gone out of her way to get a new boyfriend. And worse, the lost-arm thing makes it so that she's not particularly good at returning affection, since she wants to prove she's tough, not something to be coddled.

I mean, sure, if you actually get her in bed, she'll be fairly affectionate, a little aggressively cuddly, and you'll get plenty of chances to appreciate brown tomboy muscles as she takes you for a ride and proves she's got twice your stamina. But most guys, at least as far as I can imagine, wouldn't manage to get there. Displays of affection might come off as pitying, actual forward flirting would likely be seen as demeaning.

And besides, Cata's cute, but look at who she's going up against! I'm not particularly surprised she was almost left by the wayside. If it wasn't for the last thread, I might've stopped bringing her up entirely and tried focusing on other characters.

I mean, before she lost her arm, she would've been perfectly happy being treated like a princess and taking a more submissive role in the relationship. She is a noble's daughter, after all. At the moment I'm running a game rather than playing, but my players seized on a character and some hurried detail developed over the course of the evening into a pretty pivotal OC. So, sharing here cause its the first time I've had an OC for these threads since they started...

• Role(s): About sixty years back, the swashbuckling pirate and captain to a crew that saved the world once. Since the others retired, she's gone into piracy and smuggling full time, because what else are you meant to do with an adamantine and Ironwood Galleon at twice the normal size.
• Goals: Avoid getting pulled into any more quests, continue living a life of luxury and occasional mild excitement, and help the new kids on block save the world if it looks like no-one else is going to do it.
• Traits: Knows more about adventurers than most, doesn't miss the constant threat of death, and is too high level to take the current apocalypse seriously.
• Flaws: Is still trying to hold onto an idealised version of her youth and is both Too Done (tm) with these new adventurers and too interested in what will actually happen to them.
• Allies: A crew of 200 pirates of her own brand, each with enough distributed experience to laugh in the face of low level NPCs. Somewhere in the sea, the other three members of the party she'd rather not admit to being a part of.

I get where she's coming from. Feeling like people are pitying you or giving you special treatment can become a wall that anyone who is seriously interested will be forced to climb.

In the Final Fantasy game I play in the "main character" has sort of the same issue. Everyone treats like he is some manner of special person that's he better than normal. The savior. The Warrior of Light. The Last Paladin, etc etc.

Then my character comes along and just constantly gives him a hard time and treats him just like any other guy. She comes across as a total bitch on the surface but it's the fact that she legitimately doesn't care about all that "destiny" garbage and tries to know him for him. The fact that he's grown to have feelings for her since shouldn't be too surprising.

Being able to insult and josh with someone shows a closeness that you wouldn't otherwise have, but not allowing that closeness to develop could make the insults hit harder than are meant, and could ruin a potential friendship. Wanting to do good and see the world, they teamed up and became good friends. He eventually found himself in a frontier town and was surprised to find a childhood friend. On the lamb, short on gold, and in need of information, she rejoined him. The only work in town was bodyguard duty for a merchant caravan, and they were joined by sort of racist cleric who was really just a medic from in town. The group hasn't finished the job yet, but their employer is dead and they've saved a starving lost child from dying of hunger in the badlands. their adventures have just begun, but Gantrus is happy to be among friends once again.

Plus, since I've outed myself as writing Metal Gear characters, I might as well say that the other half of that game this party's from was Valkyria Chronicles, which are where Cyrille and Gladys hail from.

1. They're both adventurers, so they'd likely meet on the road, in a tavern, or in a market. If Cata caught wind of Mary making a bad deal, she'd come running - part of her is still a lawyer sort of paladin.

2. I think they'd definitely get along well initially, and it would only take a short time for them to become friends. Probably about enough time as it takes to work together or just spend time chatting.

3. Initially, she'd probably be taken aback, especially since it'd be a fairly positive comment instead of a derogatory remark or ignoring it.

4. Probably laugh that it was more sheltered than that of a nobleman's daughter. Still, she'd try to preserve that innocence a bit.

5. Stop her, probably. That's not something that should be ruined so quickly, especially the way Ame does it.

6. There'd probably be some form of scolding or insulting. If nothing else, Cata would try to force some physical distance between Ame and Mary.

9. Could be fairly quickly, could be a slowly growing thing. Depends on what happens with their relationship, and how cute and friendly Mary is initially.

10. At least a fifty-fifty chance? It half depends on Mary ever learning to return Cata's feelings, since Cata would be reluctant to make a move herself.

Traits: Laid back, fairly chill, never ready but always willing to fight. Not very smart or charming but able to make up for that in not being easy to kill.
Flaws: Completely oblivious to what others think of him, not very good with his hands, and laid back enough that he doesn't realize he should be fighting usually until he's gotten attacked. Also doesn't have a brain chip like most characters in his setting, limiting his capabilities greatly.
Allies: His teammates, a detective, recovering performer, conspiracy nut and a psychopathic doctor. The Italian-American mafia currently need him alive to pay off a debt.
Enemies: The Russian mafia, any non-corrupt law enforcement, and a currently unknown third party seemingly having government ties.

Physical Description: Old but still kicking, body is lean and agile but not terribly strong as a result. Currently no enhancing prosthetics, and no plans to get any any time soon.

15. Cata's a little hurt, but she'd be understanding - barging into a private moment like that is a faux pas, and It's an embarrassing moment, especially if something was actually seen. She'd quickly leave the room if asked.

16. That would be a little flip-floppy. Sometimes Cata would be happy to talk about what she's seen, because she legitimately enjoys travelling and adventuring herself, and would want to talk about that. But there's still Mary's innocence to think of, and a few questions might be too pointed, or (though rarely) might just hit too close to home for her to want to answer them. And if she's having a bad day, even Mary's chipperness might come off as irritating.

17. A tough question. Cata's still a paladin, and takes the law and goodness very seriously. If Mary started repeatedly breaking the law, that would strain and eventually break their friendship. Evilness she might actually still try to work with, because she would think she might be able to help Mary see the light.

Otherwise, it would have to be something crazily big and specific, like Mary actually doing something to harm her or her family that she couldn't just shrug off.

18. Sad, being sad herself, or bringing up questions that would cause her to question her life choices or her view of the world. Angry, getting on her nerves at the wrong time, trying to hold her back or imply that she's weak, possibly questioning her judgement. Happy, nice gestures, respecting her and her skills, maybe small thoughtful gifts like flowers or something she needed like a new quill. Scared, delving deeply into magic - Cata only has knowledge of magic through divine sources, so on some level really powerful magic is terrifying to her, no matter how well controlled. Mortals can be scarier than gods, after all.

19. It depends on how Ame goes about it, and the situation. Drunk Cata would be more open to flirtation than sober Cata, for instance. If Ame was too forceful, Cata would rebuff her in a sort of 'show you're not dominant' way. I don't really know how Ame would go about it, so I can't really properly answer this question.

20. Cata would probably still find her cute, but Mary might not make that strong positive impact by respecting her for who she is despite her lost arm. She'd be a bit more concerned with law than goodness, and might not worry as much about Mary's innocence, because honestly otherwise Cata hasn't really had to worry about losing anything too fast. She's not a bad girl, but she lived a good life without much loss in any sense, so the idea of losing innocence or purity too fast might not impact with her as much.
