Cleanup/SburbAnon here, but sleepy. Should be asleep at this, so not sure how coherent this'll be. But here goes. Took too long to type last thread.

Anyway, both have about the same approach as they're both Heirs, and both of less physical aspects. They'll be powerful in their aspect through calling on it, receive it, be passively helped by it, and at their greatest /become/ it.

Light is Knowledge, Luck, Fortuitous outcomes, (and a tangenial connection to sight?), so the Heir of Light would find it easy to acquire relevant information. Imagine opening a random book at a random page, and the first sentence you read is exactly what you wanted to know. They'd receive luck, things just falling into place for them. They'd just receive the piece of information they need at exactly the right moment without even knowing it. They'd be able to manipulate the fortunes of those around them, through more in a general calling it up to do things, instead of a Witch's assuming direct control.

When they become Light... it's probably more in a metaphorical way. The Heir of Light at it's apex would be ridiculously lucky and a font of knowledge. Through I'm not precluding the ability to become literal light either, since the canon Seer of Light manages to use 'majick' to fight with blasts of light. But it'd probably be less a lightspeed-moving form (scale is really weird in Sburb), and more a shining avatar or way to become mostly intangible for a bit.

(cont'd)
>>
>>47429903
>>47430535

The Heir of Heart on the other hand... Identity, Souls, and Emotions. Mainly positive emotion, and some connections to relationships. They'd be able to call on emotion, evoking those to have people feel things or matchmaking if they like. Maybe allowing beings that don't usually have those to feel them. They'd probably also be able to affect personalities and souls somewhat, not to be point of rewriting them but they can certainly make an impact. Anyway... they'd receive Heart. Imagine the Heir would be the focus of quite a bit of positive emotions, not necessarily love (through it certainly can be), but you can expect them to be generally liked anywhere and almost never dislike. Their own soul and emotions would probably be empowered too.

Becoming Heart is an interesting thing that could go either of two ways, or perhaps both. There's the becoming in positive emotion, which would probably be some kind of positive psychic 'infection'. Or what seems more likely is that you become a literal Sburb-style soul without a body, which would basically just be you but intangible and a little transparent.

Reposting Doom questions.
How do you get the Argent energy to power the weapons and cybernetics you can learn to make in Doom 2016?

Powering cybernetics on hell energy sounds like it could have very bad effects on the host, does it?

Does the Ultra Nightmare drawback scale with you?

Does Empowered by the Well boost other forms of magic or just Doom magic?

All told this looks quite good QS, and it is nice to see you again.

Also reposting:
Would Lord of Light from Young Justice help against 40K Chaos? I'm not expecting it to 'solve'it or anything, but if you ward a place against chaos would the forces of Chaos have to tear the ward down before they can get in?

If not, what ways are there to protect yourself, your companions, and your minions from Chaos?
>>
I agree with the sentiment passed last thread, we should delete Nechronica. Retroactively, we should also delete the MGNQ jump, and all the Generics, including all the jumps like Career Model, Hollywood, Mod, ect. because OC is terrible and unacceptable in jump chain.

>>
>>47430825
Do you think OC is acceptable? If not, then you agree with me on the sentiment it should be deleted. End of story. This isn't shitposting, it's enforcement of /jc/'s own standards. OC is not allowed, and shouldn't be tolerated.
>>
>>47430849
Well, then it's probably our local shitposter. I think I'm just going to go make dinner.
>>
>>47430849
Oh, some other guy is using our debate to falseflag and stir drama? That's kind of depressing.

I pretty much threw all my support at Nechronica, expressed enthusiasm when the idea was brought up, convinced Toriko it was a good idea, gave him advice and ideas whenever he asked, celebrated it when it came out, and have since suggested it every single time I was around and something in Nechronica could help someone. I'm pretty much the jump's biggest fan. It's just that precedent hasn't allowed OC, ever.
>>
>>47430868
I do think it is, actually. In fact I think the premise of the generic jumps, MGNQ and Light of Terra to a certain extent are all proof that it is not impermissable, just difficult to do right and not exempt from critique.

And surprisingly enough, you don't get to dictate other peoples' standards or whether I agree with you or not.
>>
>>47430833
Well... at the least, Geneforge is a lot simpler than FF13-3, even if you take drawbacks?

>>
>>47430930
>>47430614
Anons please accept the truth that Rowlet isn't a bird.
>>
>>47430868
Whether or not OC is acceptable depends on the circumstances, the generics and others mentioned by>>47430923 are good examples of why.
>>
>>47430937
I don't see any of 'em replying to me, so wow-sure is scary to be disagreed with by all your imaginary friends.

Whine about "rules" all you like, considering how the majority has soundly rejected certain previous rules about how powers stack your rules hold no weight if there isn't a consensus backing them.
>>
>>47430941
>>47430963
>>47430978
Clearly I'm not alone on this, because anytime OC is suggested, everyone jumps on its back and shits all over it.

So, clearly, majority are in favor of just being rid of OC entirely.
>>
>>47430743
I don't think it'd be 100 % effective (unless you took other measures to make it so) given the Lazarus Wave didn't turn everyone exposed into demon, just the vast majority. At least I think that's how it worked, I'm fuzzy on whether or not the Lazarus Wave was used before or after all the holograms of demons murdering humans were recorded.
>>
>>47430937
I'm not seeing anyone who agrees with you.

And those same rules also say you can't remove a jump once it's on the drive without the Jumpmaker's permission.
>>
>>47430859
>>47430864
Well, according to the last thread, my 6th and 7th jumps are RWBY and FF Crystal Chronicles, so there's not-shounen escalation and I'll... have to... fight the moon?

...silver lining: I get to steal that fuckawesome dragon from Cinder. That counts as a win in my book.
>>
>>47430997
To extend upon that, literally no one defends OC when it's suggested, showcasing how many people actually support this position.
>>
You guys know he's shitposting and the people involved in the original argument have said they are not him (here >>47430849 and here >>47430905) so why are you replying?
>>
Speaking of Generic jumps, the Generic Children's Television jump's Timeline with Happy History option says you can alter history as long as it's not too drastic. Would liberating the captives of Auschwitz and stopping Josef Mengele's experiments be considered too drastic?

Gee, it's almost like there aren't as many clearcut rules as you'd like to think and everything is ultimately decided by community consensus,

Also, you'd have a point if more people were disagreeing with me but since so far nobody's speaking out on your behalf you're wrong, this doesn't "clearly' show what the majority thinks at all.
>>
>>47430905
Yeah, it's just a matter of differing assumptions.
I don't really consider something as stable and well founded as this or the trope jumps to be OC, so I can't really argue for whether or not it should go.

>>
>>47431160
1, Just because I support a thing in principle doesn't mean in practice, I'm just as if not more of a critique; being OC by itself doesn't make a jump any more immune to criticism and like I said-it's hard to pull off WELL so naturally I don't just give the thumbs up to everything.

2. Don't exaggerate, it's much less frequent than you make it out to be.

3. Also it's a tad unreasonable for you to expect me to be present in every thread ever. I'm not getting paid for this fampai

Call me an idiot but I like to give folks the benefit of the doubt, just once; example would be anti-red guy who's proven he's just being a cunt for the sake of it.

Doesn't cost me much to justify myself, and if he can't muster a coherent comeback his logic would be fuzzier and he'd be easier to spot in the future.

>>47431264
Well, amazingly enough I am not in charge of coordinating every anon on this site just to fit my opinion.

Unlike you, I don't labor under the delusion my opinion is the only valid one and must be obeyed as a categorical directive.

So don't come complaining to me if other people can't be arsed to speak up, or come complaining to me because the intial assumptions you tried to justify yourself aren't as sound as you'd like them to be. Because all I'm doing is expressing an opinion and my reasoning for it, nothing more and nothing less.

Tip for the future: You aren't doing yourself any favors by speaking on other peoples' behalf. You ever thought that if your "rule" was so absolute other people would start bringing it up without you bothering them?

The one thing that is being missed here is why SPECIFIC OC settings are usually rejected:

You can't look up anything about them. A Generic jump for a genre (Wuxia, Western, horror) lets you look up genre conventions and know what to expect. A jump of a /tg/ homebrew setting lets you look up the threads it was created in, or a wiki if it has one - same for any other RPG setting.

A unique setting made ENTIRELY by the jump-maker has nothing you can look up outside of the Jump itself.

THAT is something both sides seem to be forgetting.

Quick questions about drawbacks from the new DOOM jump:

What is the Lazarus wave that that one drawback prevents you from stopping? Is it something that happens partway into your stay and something that you can and should stop, or is it what sets the plot of the game into motion in the first place?

Also, how hard is it to stop? If it's something I couldn't stop even if I tried, I might as well take the drawback.

Finally, is taking the 600 CP Demon Sword and swording everything to death a viable response to the drawback that drastically limits your ammo?
>>
>>47430743
>Like, now we can turn people into demons with the Lazarus thing!
I can only support this if we turn them into sexy demons, like Morrigan from Darkstalkers. If that is your aim, I can give it tentative support.

They shouldn't be made now, but the ones that exist get by on a totally unfair "It's there and in people's chains, they'd get shitty if they went away - deal with it" clause.

No it isn't fair, no the old ones won't be deleted, no new ones won't be accepted. It doesn't make sense, but it's the way it is.

Done. Let's all stop now and talk about RIPPING AND TEARING HUGE GUTS!

So the grimm tome weapon in RWBY grows with each grimm killed. I'm guessing it stops at a reasonable size.

It says it can reproduce grimm's attacks that's cool I'm going for them just to be like aura powered and all...

Does it only work on Grimm?
I'm fine with it not just ripping off every other attack. But stuff like Colossi (the lizard one that shoots fire) or shadow things from Kingdom Hearts (if it gets done) or Ghoma(Assura's Wrath)? So far I recall grimm being some sort of 'dark evil thingies that dont count as animals' and that kind of mook enemy is around in a few universes...

Could it work fort those too? or is it a one-jump thing?
>>
>>47432697
If you had the knowledge of Nuclear, Materials, and Biological sciences required to support such a thing.
But it would require a vastly different metabolic system. You need to change from the cells up to be able to grow materials that can withstand the pressure, heat, and radiation involved.

Or you could just have durability, fire immunity, and radiation immunity perks.
You are a jumper, after all.

Hello Jumpchain! I've got a question--so, I know that the Bodymod has the "wings" option, but is there any sort of perk that gives retractable wings? You know, for those dramatic unveilings.

>Observer (600 cp, Discount Drop-in): As it turns out, Time is easy to mess with. Time Loops, the Continuum Shift, Chronophantasma... All of these things mess with causality. You, however, are immune to all that. You remember everything that happens in a time loop, even though you should forget what happens when time resets, and are aware of all the fracticious possibilites in a Continuum Shift. Whenever something isn't Observed by someone like you, it's left in a quantum state (just like Schrodinger's cat) and can possibly be maniupulated by causality magics- so when you're Observing something, it becomes a concrete fact in reality and cannot be changed. However, you must be Observing yourself at all times, lest you fade away into nothingness, which means that you have to be careful about what you do- Because it can't be undone, no matter what weird time shit you try to use.

Yes, I am aware of that, thank you. You were specifically asking about being wiped from existence. Hence, that specific perk.

At this point my Jumper has had more than 6 centuries of experience at being a DF wizard equipped with Soulfire, a similar length of time being an Eliatrope (which, incidentally, are capable of sensing life energy with their eyes closed apart from the portal thing), a little less than that amount of time experimenting with the Staff and Eye of Magnus, around 5 centuries' practice with a Requiem Stand, a little more than a century's ownership of a persona and three decades of practice with the Thousand Master boon.

I never said she wasn't a good mage.

>>47436555
>>47436571

Because fundamentally, a majin's (of which Othinius is an imperfect form of, to boot) power is ultimately a very advanced form of probability manipulation.

http://toarumajutsunoindex.wikia.com/wiki/Majin

>Being a Majin is akin to being the purest, most perfect existence that encompasses every possibility. However, because of this, the Majin can also control both positive and negative possibilities.[6] In essence, the Majin has an equal chance of attaining the possibility of succeeding as well as failing, making everything relating to the Majin's magic a 50/50 shot.

ALso yes-there's the staff thing. Coupled with the boost from Negima and the practice of Entropomancy (bad luck magic from Dresden Files) reinforced with Soulfire and a lot of magic mojo, and at the very least one may force a MAD scenario to maneuver her into holding back her true strength.

The ability to Observe is a hard counter to this, because Observation fundamentally consists of collapsing possibilities into a fixed structure-the process of which is a type of event known as a Phenomenon Intervention

Might I suggest passive constant but slow expansion as the living dungeon bonus?

Also your dungeon appearing in every world complete with any modifications you make to it is something that would be really great that isn't mentioned.

>>Questions:

When you say "you will not gain power (either passively or from defeated adventurers) if your Dungeon is unbeatable" does that mean in the context of the jump or invincibility?

Do you get multiple dungeon hearts if you have more than one soul?

How many floors can you have?

If you have your own workforce can you just keep digging down forever?

>>Critique and errors:

binding really needs clearer benchmarks and a description, any monster you defeat? Jumpers have defeated some pretty powerful things and
Since we don't know how many floors you can have someone could dig out straight through the world and say they have Darkseid protecting them, same with the import option.

What if they are huge how would they get down there?

"A E S T H E T I C" is listed twice.

Monster safety is worded kind of ambiguously, does it apply to one boss monster and lesser monsters, or all your monsters?

No mention is made of how many monsters you get with each purchase.

It's usually better to have a lot of drawbacks if you don't have a drawback limit.
>>
>>47437031
Take this long jumps just before the ending jumps or specially difficult jumps. My ending chain basically is:

Long training jumps -> Hard jumps like Devil Survivor -> Even longer jumps -> End jump.
>>
>>47437154
>Passive expansion
Passive power generation is at a differing rate between the Hearts. Core generates 5 floors per year in power, Prototype generates enough power for 10 floors, and Gold generates gold instead of power, but I could probably make up a number of floors that could be paid with that.
>Entire dungeon following
I´m thinking about it, but with the passive expansion and a jump like Civ, you could basically have a Dungeon bigger than the planet.
>Unbeatability
The powerlevel of the monsters is scaled to the context of the jump, based on the average adventurer. An average adventurer on any jump will have a chance at clearing the first floor always, no matter the jump, but the floor might be stronger if you are in a high powered setting.
>Souls and hearts
You get an unique heart, but it can house all your souls.
>Floor limit
Unlimited, only limit is the power you get. If given enough power (from adventurers defeated, mostly), it can keep making more floors.
>Workforce
You have to complete a floor before digging down more, and you have to pay them, but you can keep digging down as long as the tools you use permit it. Or building up.
>Errors
Aesthetic has been corrected in my document
Monsters you defeat are always level capped, so if you managed to defeat darkseid, you could make a /copy/ darkseid who is as powerful as the boss of that floor would be. Floor 5 boss Darkseid wouldnt be much stronger than a Slime Dragon boss, for example.
>Huge Adventurers/Monsters
Fanwank it i guess, you are the designer of the dungeon, but bigger floors would need more power.
>Monster safety
All your monsters, but differently between boss and normal
>Monster number
You get the ability to make monsters rather than a number. I´ll need to add a monster number limit per floor, probably
>Drawback number
working on it, it´s a very early wip
>>
>>47436962
On the one hand, I want to tell you to remove The Goblin King since putting characters from other canons in generics doesn't sit right with me.

On the other hand, I doubt there's enough in Labyrinth to make a solid jump from.

Thus far I agree with the rest of the critiques. The emphasis on dungeon hearts does make me wish we had a proper Dungeon Keeper jump, though.
>>
>>47437031
Elona soft cap.
Kenichi (just finish the jump itself for the freebie), do take either the secret of steel or the equivalent item in the deliquent items.
Get at least two different magic systems.....TES verse will do (Destruction school for firepower, but the other schools can do just about most things you desire).
And Nanoha for good magitech, then Cardcaptor sakura (For the perk to allow you to fuse magical systems).

Then go to the Civ jump with these as minimum.

Barring that I would say you should also go to Tales of Gods and Demons...a way to train your soul is awesome (The stair will help you train body and soul...which will help a lot with the soft cap and the other parts as it grows harder to train).

Hm some jumps are not finished yet, but if you went to Tsukihime and became a vampire or just took magecraft you would be good to go. (Feats with time and stuff include becoming easilly a city buster and making things to kill the unkillable provided you got proper reagents and know how).

Evo is also good no matter the path you take....well maybe not the Gaian path if you just want more power, the capstone there should get a small boost if anyone asks me as its not all that good (In contrast some of the earlier perks of the path are really good).
Anyway moving on SMT 1, Starcraft zerg route, Spyro (Where the dragons grow in power with age), hm thats about it...for what easy power you can get and break things in half if you got some cunning

I'd like some perks for loot generation and empowering the adventurers who get into the dungeon. I think that'd be a fun way to spread technological or magical knowledge, at the risk of getting my heart smashed.

Also, I'd really love a lot more perks regarding dungeon construction. E.g., trapmaking and hiding secret doors, monster recruitment and management, constructing proper challenges without accidentally making things impossible, floor planning, aesthetic skill so your dungeon looks good, giving awesome or hilarious speeches, etc.. Right now it's just a "buy a dungeon" jump rather than a "make a dungeon jump," and that's sad.

I'd also like to see more customization options - multiple themed areas, Metroidvania-style equipment and skill requirements, and the like.

>>
>>47437199
>>Entire dungeon following
How about something like capping to what you manage in the jump (Its still pretty damn sweet to get a dungeon to follow you....alternatively, make it a Scenario with that as a reward, needing a drawback and in return for doing well the dungeon follows you).
There not nerfed or anything, still quite the good reward.

Also you do not make a jump or limit it just because a person can break the setting by doing this and that, such a thing is stupid, you make the jump around the theme and ensure its not too easy to do so.

A dungeon bigger than the planet is solved by saying its dimensionally displaced (Barring the couple of ten floors lets say) or the only way to enter it is the normal entrance and Monsters can travel inside the dungeon...but cannot go outside (MaybebBarring the first ten floors...which are the weakest monsters one might say).

Just an example.
>>

>True Maze(300cp, discount Core): Instead of having to wait for adventurers to leave your dungeon to remodel, you can magically shift and move the dungeon around while they are inside, as long as it remains beatable and you dont just crush them with the walls. You can, in real time, redesing your dungeon.
>My Art is Dungeons (200CP, Discount Golden Heart): Your dungeons are truly awe-inspiring. From the small details to the enormous structures, every part of it shows dedication to the art. Your dungeons are not just holes in the ground, but places that archaeologist and architects will marvel at for generations. It also boosts the attractivenes of your dungeon, making more adventurers want to come.
>Dwarven Fortress Planning(300cp): This gives you astounding planning skills, and allows you to direct your minions to make veritable megaprojects, cutting down on the building time of complex features.
>Jumpervania(300CP): This perk allows you to make your floors and puzzles non-sequential in order. That is, your Dungeon is no longer separated floors independent of one another, but a comprehensive mesh of areas that can be travelled in different orders, and can have pathways that need items/abilities from other parts of the Dungeon. Adventurers who challenge your dungeon will feel compelled to explore every part of it.. The power of monsters is dependant on both when they were built (as they would by floor number) and by the power neccesary to acess it.
>>
>>47437704
>>47437716

I see, that's fair.

I won't ask for details but-just curious, is it a specific jump that arouses you or Jumpchain as a concept?
>>
>>47437719
Welp, hypothetical dream build is a Core Jumpervania.
Non-Euclidean true maze with little context and a thriving population of Floormasters sounds right up my ally.
Solve the riddles, or start again.
I hate riddles with a burning passion, but losing to them will be truly emberrassing for adventurers. If they coaldn't even get past the warm up, they're going to get burned.
But as I always say, if you can't take the heat, get out of my dungeon.
>>
>>47437728
Yes.
>>
>>47437719
You should make it clear whether Art is Dungeons just makes things pretty, or if it gives you an aesthetic sense for dungeon creation too. Otherwise, I'm enjoying this.
>>
>>47437719
Can there be a perk that the dungeon spawns items based off your own crafting skills that invading adventurers could use/take? I mean thats probably more of a drawback, but it feels thematic.
>>
>>47437719
True Maze seems especially awesome, and I will enjoy screwing with their heads like that.

Anyway, I'm also going to support >>47437312 and say that a dungeon capped at what you can get in this jump, or something like a scenario to get it to follow in full would be nice. It's still fun if I have to keep resetting it every jump, but it's not going to get more than a sloppy attempt at managing it after the first one or two jumps for me atleast.

Incidentially, a dungeon larger than the planet, slightly dimensionally displaced to make place for it, would be awesome as fuck. Just be the keeper of the infinite dungeon.

Also, a note on how your dungeon works in other jumps would be nice too... Like, does it just get integrated somewhere, or can you choose to plop it down where you want?
>>
>>47437861
I think if it is allowed to be carried over, it needs some sort of note to prevent it from turning this jump into Second Warehouse the Jump. Having it act like the Tower Seed from Ar Tonelico would prevent that, but if it does carry over in part or in full there'll be a need to note that you can't store things or sapient beings in it. The latter is probably the more important so you can't just pass off people you want to bring along as monsters in the dungeon.
>>
>>47437719
True Maze seems like it would be easy to abuse just by microing the dungeon into a circle. is that intended?
>>
>>47437894
>as long as it remains beatable
Anon, I wouldn't call having them eternally circle around beatable.
>>
>>47437884
You could make it like the Shivers museum. Stuff can go in but once added doesn't come out, and nothing inside can affect the outside.
>>
>>47437808
Picture this, a Dungeon that uses the Ten Commandments from Disboard.

Each Level has one room and one boss with a game you have to play and win. If you win, you can can make wish from the boss.

Moving to the next level is a wish.

Then at the final level, there is a maze, that leads to different rooms, again, you need to play a game in each one, except these ones give you keys. There's a keyhole behind each boss and a different key from the one they hold opens it. All of them must be unlocked to reach the boss level.

You get there and there's a teleportation array, that transports you to a tavern, at the table of the old timer who told you about the dungeon, while asking you if you wanted to play a game after he spun a story that had Ten Rules.

What do?
>>
>>47437719
Hm...

I kind of want to create a casino themed dungeon. Instead of fighting your way through monsters, you have to gamble and play minigames until you have enough gold to buy entry to the next floor.
>>
>>47437908
I would agree. maybe a short bit clarifying? because atm it is vague enough that some anons are going to do it and bitch a bunch when they get called out
>>
>>47437719
does final boss scale you to the level of the dungeon you are on?
>>
>>47437719
Oh. Oh! We need to a park to put down restrictions in your dungeon, like needing to follow the beat to recreate Crypt of the NecroDancer.
>>
>>47436962
HA HA

TIME FOR THE TOMB OF NAZARICK
>>
>Variable Gravity
>House of Leaves
>True Maze
MWAHAHA. A non-euclidian, ever-shifting maze with gravity that's just as screwy and shifting. Damn, that sounds like fun, and really mindfuck-y for the adventurers.

For bonus points, go for eldritch aesthetics and theme musics.
>>
I've always wondered. Are non sapient plants and animals held by Tet's Ten Commandments?
Conflict is natural, and nature would not do well without it.
>>
>>47437719
Maybe a monster purchase to get all up in there with robots, if we couldn't already? And one to allow the bio/tech jumpers to create their own monsters/templates for them?

Maybe a lighting choice, so adventures would only be able to see so far out, or need to carry torches?

Option to integrate magic from other jumps? Tech Integration allows tech, so one for magic too would be appreciated.

Needs more on traps and puzzles too, but that's for the upcoming Puzzle section, yes?
>>
>>47437848
That could be a drawback yes. By the way, if you store your stuff in the Dungeon, adventurers can steal it. Keep that in mind
>>47437826
It also gives aesthetic sense.
>>47437861
Hmm... I will add an option for a perpetually growing dungeon, but expect it to be pricey af. There´s a reason for no drawback limit.
>>47437884
Whatever you store in it can (and probably will) be stolen by adventurers.
You can only have monsters and the habitants that come from Dungeon Town stay in your dungeon.
>>47437894
See>>47437908
>>47437911
That´s how it works for creatures, and again, items stored in there WILL most likely be stolen, as they´ll be assigned as loot for floors level-appropiately.
>>47437958
Minigames will be a Puzzle option
>>47438048
Make it BETTER
>>47438054
Definitely what my build would be
>>
So there was a perk about training which took years becoming months and weeks into days and so on.

What jump was that?.

>>47438048
My man.

Although I admit that my dungeon would copy a bit and be with the first fifteen or twenty levels would be the catacomb levels....and after that a lake or a level like Demiurge.

Of course I might decide otherwise.
>>
>>47438059
One of the drawbacks seems to imply that nonsapients are explicitly excluded from the commandments, so people won't starve. It's the one that lets the entire world fight you.
>>
>>47438123
Lighting will go in advanced themes. Thanks for the suggestion!
A "monster spawner" for those templates will be added as an item.
Magic from other jumps? I´ll see what i can do, too.
Also, industrial themed monsters can definitely be robots.
>>
>>47438144
>they can steal it
When your dungeon is planet sized, there's very, very little chance of anyone getting to the bottom floors. Do they automatically enter the dungeon or do you have to bring people in?

In any case, the earlier suggestion of having it work like Shivers seems to solve the problems much better. If you put it in, you can't take it out.
>>
>>47438144
>That could be a drawback yes. By the way, if you store your stuff in the Dungeon, adventurers can steal it. Keep that in mind

I honestly don't have any plans to put something like my Arrow Head from JJBA in there, but I just like the idea of the invaders being able to use what they find.
I'm a sucker for classic cliches.

Speaking of which, maybe there should be a high value drawback where each floor could hold something of value from your warehouse so even if the invaders dont beat the dungeon they could make off with something of yours
>>
>>47438185
People are automatically drawn to your dungeon, but the more famous it becomes the more people want to go in.
Keep in mind that when people keep clearing your floors and getting loot, they become stronger, a la RPG, so there is a real chance of someone stealing your shinies if they are strong/smart enough. Also, reminder that level-appropiate depends on the setting´s average adventurer, so any very powerful individuals will plow through earlier floors.

There WILL be a cap to size you can import, most likely, but i´m unsure how big that should be.
>>
>>47438172
Don't know if it's been addressed but is the set up on minions for different levels something you have to buy multiple times for different things, or is it a one off?

Why does being the last boss cost so much? If there's downsides to 'losing' at defending the Heart it seems odd that you'd need to pay 800 to actually protect it yourself.
>>
>>47438219
>Why does being the last boss cost so much? If there's downsides to 'losing' at defending the Heart it seems odd that you'd need to pay 800 to actually protect it yourself.

It's so expensive because it's directly against how these things work anon.
>>
petition to move all the 40k jumps into one folder on the drive
>>
>>47436962
Ooooh, this'll synergize well when that Danmachi jump happens.

Would definitely like to see something that lets Companions get in on this a bit more. Like... Ugh, fuck I actually don't know. All of my suggestions are basically rip-offs of Overlord's backstory from the YGGDRASIL MMO - letting Companions take care of certain levels a la Boss Import, creation of custom NPC's / bosses, etc. That Monsters section has some fucking insane potential for customization, I just don't know what needs to be added to aid in that endeavor.

Possibility to import / transplant existing owned structures (e.g. DA:I's Faction Keep, Basilisk's Jumper Inn, etc) which get incorporated into the Dungeon's mechanics in some manner?
>>
>>47438257
You obviously haven't played the multitude of games in which you can fight as well. There's quite a few of them.
>>
>>47438219
Because if you´re super op for a generic medieval fantasy setting, you have absolutely no risk. You are supposed to defend the heart with your dungeon, because if you could defend it yourself, at higher powerlevels you wouldnt even need a dungeon.
If you buy a special monster type, or a monster perk, you can apply it to any minion.
>>
>>47438278
you're right I haven't I haven't even heard of them
>>
>>47438276
Bosses are already basically custom NPC´s, as are the inhabitants of Dungeon Towns.
A Companion-Boss import is a possibility i was thinking about, yes.

And on importing structures into your dungeon, probably for a later build, since I dont know how to balance that with floor limits.

any response to my questions Here >>47437969

No, which is why it costs 800 cp.
Would a scaled version be nice? It would cost less, of course.
>>
>>47438297

also I assume that companions and minions are similarly forbidden from interacting with the dungeon directly?
>>47438363
yeah I can see that working, also I noticed that there is only one discount for one origin, was this intentional or is that something that you're going to be doing later?
>>
>>47438363
He he he...
Scaled bosses.
I'd make a joke about that, but I'm afraid of it dragon on.
>>
>>47438385
You´d have a skeleton of jokes if you were a lich
>>47438374
I already have another WIP, but i´ll wait for the next thread to post it, probably
Also, the companion import:
>Companion Boss (100Cp): You can import your companions as bosses! This will allow them to roam outside the dungeon, unlike a normal boss, but they will still be level-capped for the floor they are the boss of, and cannot fight adventurers outside of that floor, unless the adventurer attacks first.
>>
>>47438297
>And on importing structures into your dungeon, probably for a later build, since I dont know how to balance that with floor limits.
Fair enough - just figured it was worth a spitballing.
>>
>>47438414
>>Companion Boss (100Cp): You can import your companions as bosses! This will allow them to roam outside the dungeon, unlike a normal boss, but they will still be level-capped for the floor they are the boss of, and cannot fight adventurers outside of that floor, unless the adventurer attacks first.

Maybe a 200 point add-on to final boss where up to eight companions can keep their power as well? Also final boss should be discounted for drop-in
>>
>>47438414
also maybe some kind of variation on CP insurance where you can import items as respawning loot?
>>
>>47438566
>>47438450
First, Final boss has been split into:
>Final Boss (500CP): Instead of being unable to fight the adventurers yourself, you are now the final boss of your Dungeon, appropiately level-capped while you are in the Dungeon to the number of floors your dungeon has. You will not grow in power beyond what you are out of the dungeon, though.
>True Final Boss (800cp): Instead of being unable to fight the adventurers yourself, you are now the final boss of your Dungeon. You will, however, not respawn.
Secondly, I do not want respawning Arrows from JoJo, or respawning Devil fruits...
>>
>>47438414
>cannot fight adventurers outside of that floor, unless the adventurer attacks first.

>Dude, I'm on break. Fuck off.
>>
>>47438414
technology integration needs more clarification, otherwise you're going to end up with a tech import for Halo gauntlet situation .
>>47438612
you can limit it to items that are not unique.
>>
Wait wait wait

Can there be a perk that allows the jumper to taunt the adventurers with a giant ghostly flaming version of the jumpers head? Or some variant of that.
>>
>>47438414
Well, I'm definately going to be importing one of my companions as either the Final Boss or the Penultimate Final Boss. One of the two. Of course that's a lot to lay onto somebody, but I think it's worth the security.
>>
>>47436962
You have a drawback specifically regarding Debbie. Can we get something like that for the Goblin King?
>>
>>47438682
Do you really want to fight David Bowie?
>>47438665
Phantom Jumper/ Public Service Announcement (100cp): Allows you to send messages to adventurers inside your dungeon, wether it be to taunt them or give advice on the Dungeon. Comes with free robotic and ghostly voice options!

Not him but to be fair in games such as dungeon keeper you cannot do much without your minions. The exception is you can still cast any spells you know against any enemy who enters your dungeon. So although you cannot punch your enemy you can zap him with lightning.

Since Im just getting started on dungeon keeper I was planning on making the backgrounds be drop in, hero, keeper, and disembodied voice.

Drop in will likely be a call out to another dingeon series that is about dungeoneering unless I get a better idea though.

Anything anyone wants to see?
>>
>>47438612
Why's the (non-true) Final Boss still 500cp? Doesn't seem like it actually gives any benefit over just getting a normal Boss. Not like you're going to be able to do more than a normal boss if you're level-capped.
>>
>>47438665
Now that's thinking ahead!
Let's hope the jump maker is all ears.
God nose, it would be fun to mouth off when adventurers get stuck in a hairy situation.
>>47438706

>>
>>47438718
now when you say disembodied voice will I be able to switch back and forth between having a body or not in future jumps?
>>
>>47438711

>>
>>47438745
Because that wouldn't be an OP power or anything.
>>
>>47438745
Of course you will, it just gives you the option of possessing a host which will be the free 100 tier for them. But it ties their life to the host, they can change hosts though if the host allows them in or if the person they want to jump into is crazy.
>>
>>47438770
>>47438745
Wait you will still have a body when not in a host though.
