Just trying to understand the autism that is basically everything from the Brothers War to the Mending is painful, and it keeps getting worse. Lorwyn's makes no sense, they retconned most of Alara and Zendikar, Innistrad's was nearly non-existent, Scars was ok but just brought the fuckery of Urza back to us, and Dack Fayden... honestly, I had no idea who he was until conspiracy, I had no idea there was any sort of comic tie-in with MTG. Khans block is actually the least confusing use of time travel in the whole history of the game, and is IMO by far the best executed, no, best idea in the first place. The vast majority of the rest of the stories are just dumb.

I'm hoping that when this is all said and done Sorin realises that he made a mistake by doing this and gives his life/spark to revive her. A good way to kill off a tired character who WotC seem to struggle to use properly, he's been alive for so long and seen so much that everything bores him, his plane will be in ruins and he was forced to kill the only being he genuinely seemed to care for.

Werewolves on Innistrad are people who have have part of their souls combined with part of the planes Nature spirit.

When Jace touched a werewoofs mind he saw the Moon overhead as big, red, and angry as fuck.

When Madness started to affect the plane more woofs started popping up again and the wolfir started to lose the benefits of the cursemute.

Innistrad itself is causing the return of the werewolves in response to whatever is coming. Woofs are the planes natural 'protectors', and Arlin is gathering the packs up to give Nahiri the knot.

As much as I want an angel planeswalker I just don't see him giving his spark to anyone but Avacyn, Think of it from Sorin's view, if he has to choose between some angel he's probably never even met and reviving a creature that he actually saw as his daughter according to this story, it's pretty obvious which he'd choose. That's also assume you even can give a spark to someone you have no connection to, I believe Karn is the only case of that so far, it could have been because he and Venser were friends that he was even able to.

When they initially proposed the faster rotation, most everyone was REJOICING over it, because it meant that the Early Shit That Was Dominating The Format For Forever that always crops up would get the hell out faster, in favor of shaking up standard more often.
And the same with the removal of core sets, because nobody fucking bought core sets. I think Origins is the first core set anyone's ever actually been interested in, and that's solely because they decided to pull out the stops on the last one. Everybody disliked core sets, and now, only now that they're gone, is it that people are saying 'they shouldn't have removed core sets'

What if between story lines, they made "totally not core sets" to set up the next few planes we would be saying.
That's how we get the staples reprinted every so often and have something lighter in tone and maybe even check up on planes we won't be going to.

Late to this but I fucking loved last week's story. Tamiyo using spells based on stories from the past settings is brilliant.

I still feel like Raven Man isn't gonna be of any importance to Innistrad's plot as a whole. There is more evidence now he actually exists outside of Liliana's crazy brain, but I think he's being kept for later.

What I'm curious about is if there is some way to save Innistrad of if it's going to pay the price for the highly unlikely events that let Zendikar live.

Because humanity barely survived a year without Avacyn to protect them and now she's gone forever, and the angel flights have been devastated by Nahiri's fuckery. Sigarda can't pick up that kind of slack by herself, and despite what Arlinn seems to think, Werewolves are part of the problem, not the solution.
