Neat, have a more fantasy version of Potala Palace.

It's still there, just with marginally more damage.
The parties to the Syrian Civil War simply lack the firepower to destroy a castle like that. They can chip away at a bit of the smaller bits of stonework with RPGs and small artillery guns, but most of the fortress remains.
>>47290169
My dream house is something along those lines.
>>47289918
This is so rad.
Does anyone has a picture of fictional panopticon-based buildings?
I'm looking one of those for a steampunk fascist society.
>>47286930
...Buddhism and /tg, obviously similar.
>>47286421
/tg related architecture more like this

>>47286438
I would love to play a ravenloft / D&D game taking place only in a massive castle compound. You can have fun with shifting walls, trap doors, echoes of past ghosts, rotating enemies, graveyards, underground tunnels with liches and leeches (ETC..)
>>47290111
>simply lack the firepower to destroy a castle like that.
I can't be the only one who thinks that's pretty rad?
Sure, the strategic worth of castles is much more limited now we don't have to move everything with horses, and anyone who really cared could still wreck the place, but that fortifications from more than 700 years ago are still fairly valid is amazing to me (now if only they would stop using airstrikes, holy shit)
>>47297703
Yeah, we're still losing large amounts of history. I think the russians recently blew up the oldest surviving orthodox church.
>>47297797
Went and checked, nah, it was the oldest surviving byzantine church. (Which means it was presumably orthodox)
>>47295263
>panopticon-based buildings
Do you mean like an actual panopticon (as in the prison type with a tower at the centre) or just a "spy on everyone" type building with a victorian aesthetic?
How cyberpunk decor would be?
Also 4chan should have decor board
and theater
and every single art type that doenst exist yet
>>47299606
Depends on how literal you want.
I am 99.9% sure you dont want the literal "convert cyberpunk literary genre to a decor genre" thing
so, to discover how it would be you just need to look a google images for examples, they will give examples of how cyberpunk houses would be on cyberpunk settings

Is it just me or was someone shopped out of this pic? I can tell by the pixels.

Why is this all ancient shit? How come there aren't images of advanced futuristic buildings for sci-fi settings, like the EMP Museum in Seattle?
>>47307499
with the ancient shit you can be sure it's fantasy setting worthy, with the current most futuristic buildings, it's never scifi enough (unless it's, like, a good photo of a Zaha Hadid building. Pic related)
>>47289921
What the fuck? Tiny human astronauts?
>>47307580
By 2150 we'll all be living in aluminum foil tents held up by PVC pipes and bamboo, just like the deconstructionists wanted.
>>47307580
As much as I dislike Hadid's buildings, he's right.
>>47307580
Like >>47307531, pic related makes a pretty good evil lair for a modern/sci-fi BBEG

Not sure if you can see him in that picture, but one of the images on the floor of that place is of Hermes Trismegistus, mythical alchemical "prophet".

Small wooden church of St. Andrew is located in the river Vuoksi in the Leningrad region. Built in 2000, the church fell into the Guinness Book of Records as the world’s only church built on a tiny island, which serves as the foundation of monolithic rock protruding from the water. Church attributed to Konevskaya church in the village of sapper. Church services are held on schedule by appointment in the temple to performed baptisms and weddings. From the shore to the temple you can be reach it by boat. via(source) The temple was built by two enthusiasts – Professors froom University. An example for architectural solutions became the oldest Church of the Ascension in Kolomenskoye.
Although in the world there are other “Churches on the Water”, among which is the church in Volgograd, Kondopoga, Church of the Assumption in Slovenia and remarkably similar to Priozersky temple church in the town of Kalyazin on the Volga, that is an island in the Vuoksa which attracts visitors with its picturesque location.
The church is named after one of the twelve disciples of Jesus Christ. Andrew is the patron saint of sailors, so on every ship is bound to have Andrew’s flag, and possibly surrounding the church on all sides by water began referring to this fact. The site is located near the village of Vasilyevo Priozersky area.
From Peter need to move on Priozersk highway, Sapernom turn off the road to the left. We pass the village Vasilyev and immediately behind it will be a pointer to the right. We turn off and rests in the parking lot. Further, about two hundred meters on the trodden road straight to the beach. The road takes about 2 hours.

Spain hasn't paid a dime, it is funded through donations (aka the tickets that all those tourists need to buy).
Also, each side of the building has a different style. Not to mention the inside is just beautiful.
>>47315039
Personally I like the Subirachs side best. Love the style.
>>47315039
Given that Cathdrals often seem to be as much about technical prowess and power (pic very much related) as anything else, I really like all these details creating a very organic look.
