Wojic originally came up with it as a hypothetical game setting (ie. "if I could make a Pokemon-style monster-battling game, this is what I'd do"), and mostly posted stuff as an excuse to draw monsters. Then some publisher actually approached him to make it a game. I just had the weirdest idea for a Joker Vampire, it's an organic, flexible, chainsaw with an incredibly long blade that functions as its mouth. Also its skeleton has grown a secondary body that it uses to move and feed, this thing literally turned its two rightmost limbs into a entirely separate body instead of actually doing something sensible.

So far I love it! This is the first thread I can recall seeing on here. I love the jokers the most, all of them (though there are few monsters in any category that I'm not hugely fond of). Their lore and their designs. It's the exact type of thing that is right up my alley!

drrockso20 if anyone is familiar with that name, while I don't agree with everything Bogleech says(what 2 humans do in fact), overall I still consider him a friend, or at least as much of one as someone you know only through the internet can be, and personally I think some of you guys are getting oddly butthurt regarding his opinions on things, like I see creators who are/were much worse people get discussed a lot more calmly then Bogleech does, and it's kinda disturbing

I should have been more clear. When a character is ACTIVELY made to be hated by the general audience, I usually like them. The type of protagonist I hate is one that is forcefully shoved in your face to be the "every man" or "relatable", think of Jim from the office. I don't love Fern as much as everyone else but there is a lot of protagonists I hate more.

That seems to be the case. It's actually rather alarming just how vitriolic and angry they get towards a character that has literally NOT DONE ANYTHING to the protagonist other than off-handedly insulting her. It's pathetically obvious how they're projecting character traits on Jay that likely belong to people they dislike in their day-to-day lives, rather than hating the character solely as he's presented.

And his videogame, old toys, D&D, biology articles and reviews. So much good content, but there was always something rubbing me the wrong way about the way he wrote.
He seemed to be the kind of cool guy that is into the weird and gross shit, that can make you appreciate the odd. Like a Steve Irwin of parasites and arthropods. But the tone of his writing.
The tone. The tone of "If you are afraid of spiders then that's your problem and you have to get over it, specist!" that always permeated his work, always an implied middle finger or snide remark to the people he hated in particular. It didn't matter the reason to him, if people disliked something he loved, then they were in the wrong. I don't want to say "to the people he disagreed with" because he was always open to discussion, within reason.
I guess i had to come to terms with the fact the guy that i looked up so much to, the guy that made me look at the weird and the odd and say "wow". The guy that taught me to not fall for the trappings of the "conventional" cool always was an SWJ. He just changed his main focus. I wasn't even surprised, just. Y'know?

way I see it, having "SJW" beliefs shouldn't be considered a negative unless it noticeably effects someone's work in a negative fashion, and it hasn't really done so for Bogleech's stuff, and indeed is only been so noticeable on his tumblr lately cause to be frank the world is full of crappy things that deserve being brought up in such a manner, and it's not helped by morons aggravating him for no reason

TLDR; people need to learn to quit aggravating/bullying/instigating pointless arguments with people on the internet(I'll admit though I've never really gotten the appeal of intentionally doing that to someone)
