And so is Dance of Inspiration. That's what I get for speed reading.

>>47168040
Hm... I'm not sure. [LOST TO THE PATH] for Civilian seems pretty weak, since unless you grab two 600 perks, you're not getting anythingout of it, and even then it's only 200cp cheaper.
>>
>>47168362
>>47168381
I didn't finish those yet. Nor am I finished with [LOST TO THE PATH] for Exodites, since I have no clue what that's even going to /be/.

>>47168245
It will be once I fill in the remaining blanks.

>>47168423
Not really sure what to do here. There was an idea to let you grab the [LOST TO THE PATH] of any other Path after buying another perk from it, but then there might be little reason not to go Civilian.

Any ideas?

Ah, my bad.

Suggestion for Civilian: In fluff, Isha sometimes whispers arcane knowledge of how to cure Nurgle's plagues from time to time right?

Idea 2 for the same was the ability to build your own Webway in future jumps (obviously this will stil take a lot of time/resources) since from what I understand normally it should be impossible to build a webway.

...

...unless that would fit better for Exodite. For which I would suggest some sort of really buff magitech terraforming process/technique to represent how they're able to colonise normally uninhabitable worlds.

So what're some tips for a Robot Master who gets tapped as a Jumper to live by during the early years?
>>
>>47169859
Oh. Also, does Lost to the Path mean we can't purchase perks from the other paths at all, or is that just flavor text? And speaking of, what does the Exodite Lost to the Path do? Make you a great warrior like the Warrior capstone? How long would it take to make a Craftworld with the Wraithsong perk? Thanks for the answers, this jump looks really good.
>>
>>47169922
>Robot Master
Unless you're one of Wily's, you are enslaved by the Three Laws of Robotics. You can't kill humans. If you're one of Wily's, you're enslaved to him. Robot Masters are not truly sapient, they're just nearly so, but they're still bound by very advanced programming.
>>
>>47169955
>Lost To The Path

You can take perks from the other Paths, but each option is Path-exclusive. You can't be a Farseer AND an Exarch or a Farseer AND a Solitaire.

>Exodite
It's probably going to end up being the terraforming thing suggested by >>47168869

>Bonesinger

By yourself? I sincerely doubt you'd have enough time even if you extended Civ to its maximum possible amount of time and literally did nothing but Bonesing 24/7.

I mean, it's an entire Craftworld. They took tons of Bonesingers to make in anything resembling a decent timeframe even back when there were /trillions/ of Eldar.

If it feels like I'm taunting you with that, I might be. Partially.
>>
>>47170114
>They took tons of Bonesingers

Well extended civ it'd be a case of choosing Eldars as your race and trying to get them all Bonesinging in an years long training montage.

I wander whither and yon, into and out of the plot as it fits the plot. Not that I know the plot, but the world never exploded so I'm more or less safe. Except for that one time on Mercury where I nearly melted.

But my companions and I played a game during our stay: Water Tag. We got supersoakers full of cold water and had to blast each other with it as publicly as possible. The more people that saw the person you hit, the more points you got, and the most points they lost. Scores couldn't go below 0, which was mine because I couldn't find anyone. Falcomon got first place with 1,128,212. National TV was a huge boon to this game.

>>
>>47170261
If you go into it knowing what you're getting into and pick a side you're comfortable with working under for ten years, there are honestly worse places to be.

If Bass and Protoman are any indication, you can still get away with some pretty disobedient shit, besides.

Also varies a bit depending on the setting. Megamix seems to have some kind of ongoing debate about the agency allowed to robots, from what I've seen of it.

This looks fantastic, thank you.

Can we get some discussion or a ruling on how Bonesinging would work out of universe? It states that it makes things out of the Warp, so does that mean that you're pulling the Warp across universes' or that out of 40k Bonesinging is powered by something else?

I don't know a ton about 40k, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
>>
>>47170381

Regarding Castlevania does the Arcana option conform to the DSS system from Circle of the Moon?
>>
>>47170451
Well, as long as you don't take one of the Emprah drawbacks.

Although one wonders where their soul's beacon goes in a setting where there is no Warp. Does the collective spiritual signature of the hypothetically trillions-strong Eldar civ spontaneously form a new realm of spirits?

Why not convert Civilian into generic perks? Like take the discounted price, make that the official price, and move the perks to general?

Could rename the general perks "Way of the Civlian". Seeing how everyone started out as a civilian at one point in their lives or dabbled in the paths.

That way you don't have to include a lost to the path. Then you could perhaps move the civilian one you have there and move it to the Exodites. It could present itself as "Path of the Exodite".

"Path Of The Exodite - This is not a true path, but a statement and a mind set. A statement that despite the ease of life that your Craftworld cousins experience, you object this and their petty paths. Yet this decision doesn't from the void, but through experience. You have walked their Paths, receiving a discount on any two 400cp Maybe 600cp perks as if you were considered part of that Path. You have lived their life for a time, and reject their trappings but not the life experiences. "

Way I see it, only way an Exodite is off world is because they're young and wish to see how life is different. Physically they should be stronger, but as they're young they would fit into the category of the Craftworld Eldar in terms of strength.
Those with Exodite perks could be ex-Exodites or learned them from ex-Exodites.
>>
>>47170381
Eldar pregnancies are long and difficult process. It's not a quickie behind the shrine and 9 months later you have a baby. It's more like 9 months of constant psychic sex, and physical sex between partners. Then decades long pregnancies, which end in birth of a child that's equivilant to that of a 10 year old intellectually. They're an immortal race and emotionally suppressed, it takes them long time to reproduce because they don't want Jr. to have his/her soul nom'd by Slaanesh.

If you want rabbits, you should see the Dark Eldar. They take embryos and put them into artifical wombs. This ages them to adulthood in a few days, with full cognition. They're then handed a free blade as they're booted out the door. That's how they deal with the dying race trope.
>>
>>47170646
Isn't that statement based on a retarded Imperium researcher making assumptions based on this one starved Eldar corpse he had? He's not framed as a reliable source.
>>
>>47168040
>Salacious Seer
>Impressionable Youth
>Ranger origin

>>
>>47170646
Do you even know what splice means?

I mean I know you're big on regurgitating lore but jesus at least pretend you're actually responding to someone rather than being some mad robot that sees the word rabbits and eldar in a sentence and then has to start talking about how eldar are or aren't similar to rabbits.
>>
>>47170535
Converting Civilian stuff to general perks could work, but I'm not sure how well it'd go over. If everyone's for it, I can do that.

As for Exodites, I could also add a seperate Location roll for them, or have the default be "your Exodite World just got steamrolled by Necrons/Orks/Tyranids and the Craftworlders have a vested interest in not letting you die - so they took you in." Come to think of it, the backstory options you suggested in the last bit don't even conflict with that.
>>
>>47170704
They're already a genetically engineered race. What makes you think making them part rabbit will do anything to make them breed faster? They can breed as fast they like, look Dark Eldar's trueborn. They're ready come out in barely anytime at all. Craftworld Eldar take stuff slowly on purpose so they don't fall into corruption like the Dark Eldar. They have to ensure their child's soul isn't nom'd by Slaanesh and they give birth to a Daemonette.

>>47170929
Uh.

Good question.

I think it depends greatly on whether the Hunter's Dream/Nightmare of Mensis is more the true form of reality unable to be perceived by man OR a pseudo-reality marble naturally exuded by the Great Ones. If it's the former, you might as well pistol whip the things for all the good it'll do you. If it's the latter, you're in luck; just don't accidentally punch the ground you're standing on, the Doll or anything else you remotely care about while you're there.

Some allusions about the Moon Presence creating the Hunter's Dream and the fact that the Old Hunters DLC takes place in a dream within a dream seem to imply the latter is more likely, not to mention the fact that the Great Ones are actively stepping beyond their natural state i.e. being unable to reproduce well to interfere with humanity. In which case on a scale of devils to Fingerkings it'd probably feel like punching heavy, wet mud apart.

What they do is awfully similar to the Rubbery Men's Red Science, after all. Any of them which are wholly dream constructs like Micolash or anything from the Old Hunters DLC probably goes down much faster, something like a Fingerking but bursting into rainwater and fog.

Won't do anything against feral hunters, though.
>>
>>47171156
This is true, but if he takes the extra scenarios that are post-nightmare that probably won't work as well.
>>
>>47171156
>feral hunters

yeah, I didn't figure Gascoigne and co. would be easy to deal with. But I think I'm on a better playing field than they with some of the boosts I've received to be in a good position.

It's the Great Ones I'm worried about, and some of those scenarios are looking rough - and fuck taking Nightmare Mode. Just fuck that entire set of noises.
>>
>>47171268
would be easy to deal with with just the Fists*.

Man my hands are not cooperating today.

Also: I take it I'm not gonna like what I see here thanks to the Spirifer's Eye + Soul Perception.
>>
>>47171268
That sounds about right. Really just having sufficiently powerful firearms that shoot something more substantial than quicksilver is going to be a big advantage

And...nope. For one thing, mostly what you're probably gonna see is even more eyes.
>>
Now that >>47170929 has mentioned them, how do the Fists even work?
>>
>>47171268
While you're here, a little heads up on SE Medusa, since you asked yesterday:her possession remodels her victim's body in her own image. After possessing a little girl, within days/a week she had transformed into a child version of hers. More powerful bodies like her sister Arachne take more time, as even 3 years later she still had her black hair, even if the rest of the body had been Medusafied.

I may have teased Sierra, often. I may have received my comeuppance for it often. She may have been converted to a basilisk, and I may have been trapped in a snake nest for two weeks, bound by her shed skin, before changing her back. That's just how a friendship may happen sometimes.

Anyway, we improved the show by making it look more dangerous but technically be more survivable. And we all did it in our own way. I populated the woods with terrifying monsters that would occasionally leave corpses laying around. Falco was an enchanting witch that lived in the water and made Faustian pacts with the campers that inevitably made everything worse. Roberta whispered ideas into Chris's ear and kept him off our back. Ko'el would send handle the grunt work so that the challenges would inevitably fall apart in horrible ways. The Choir of Righteous Fury would keep people in line and handled our governing jobs. Asriel was a goat that would lead campers into dangerous situations and trick them into making poor decisions, but also led them to safety. Isaac built robots that would take the place of campers sometimes. And Toby was the "Good Guy" gunning for Chris's job that the producers couldn't fire for some reason.

Just a nice, easy job.

Sherlock build:

The Adler 50
Brilliant 150
More than a Pretty Face
Cruel Genius 250
Elementary My Dear 550
In the Shadow of Giants 850
Like an Open Book 1000
Blinding the Brilliant 1300
Wrapped Around My Finger 1600
The Wardrobe
Impatient 1500
Lack of Stimulation 1300
Most Wanted 1000

Didn't get everything I wanted but I got lots. Took Brilliant, More Than a Pretty Face and Cruel Genius each of which give different sides of the clever/smug bastard coin. Plus for 200 CP I figure that's pretty cheap. Smarter, more cunning and more calculating.

Elementary My Dear gives you ridiculous deduction. Sort of felt like I couldn't go to this setting without taking it.

In the Shadow of Giants is really fun. Deflects fame, making random people seem like ridiculously powerful individuals by association with you while everyone thinks you're just their sidekick. Nice way of not ruining a plot quite so much with your presence or making people widely adored as heroes or feared as villains even when they don't really deserve it.

Like an Open Book just made me think of that show Lie To Me. Not a very good show but y'know, Tim Roth. Still if that's any indicator it's capable of some contrived nonsense.

Blinding the Brilliant was the best I could get with my remaining 300 CP. Plus it is pretty fun to ruin the grand plans of enemy geniuses by being so sexy.

Wrapped Around My Finger is about changing the nature of your relationships with other people which is great and the reason I went Adler.

One of the nice things about this jump is that you tend to be able to think of a lot of specific examples of things you'd do with the perks.

Seems like I spend a lot of my time running away from old timey coppers. Madness sort of reigned in this one. Staying away from the police, impatience and my constant need to do new stuff sort of made me play out a one man version of the fall of the Eldar. Probably best for everyone that I went in relatively early before I can cause too much trouble.
>>
I am not really familiar with the setting, so can someone who is please give me an idea as to how strong a lv100 warrior will be in the Overlord jump and the sorts of feats they can do? You're probably gonna want to get immunity to temporal shenanigans, like Touhou's Lunar Dial, Narnia's Narnian Time.

Then fate immunity, like Terminator, BBC Merlin, Kingdoms of Amalur, and Viking Saga have.

Blazblue might also do stuff, don't know anything about it, but Observer sounded usable when I heard about it in thread.

...and if you're going to the plot, Banner Saga and 80s Action Movie have stuff to kill immortal things.

Drawbacks: Goddamn Sparklers (+200), Sıˇ guıˇ jun duì (+300)

My initial choice in drawbacks were Desire Defined and Silencio, but then I started having flashbacks to sissy life and realized I would rather have ten years of knock-down drag-out brawls with the undead. Just as well, I take a lot of healing schools and most of those have ways to combat the undead built right in.

I'm not sure what's happening in the plot, but I am certain I want to avoid it. However, most of the bad guys are probably plot based in some manner. Wouldn't make sense for them not to be, really. So, my involvement is entirely in weakening the bad guys by drawing their attention, I guess. Otherwise, it's a Wake Up and Kill the Dead sort of adventure. I can't even afford to do anything fun this jump. They attack me in theaters, on the Light of Terra, while trying to seduce Ponce de Leon. You can never convince anyone that getting attacked by ghosts is just kinky foreplay. Vampires, sure, but never ghosts. It's like corporeality is where people draw the line.

Also, I got a kickass new facial tattoo. That no one can see beneath my fur. Why do I even bother?

Very unlikely to work. Doom aspect and Doomed timelines do not have that much in common aside from the name.

>>
>>47172687
True. You could perhaps remove the fated to death bit. If you then evacuate them from that particular timeline, they should be able to survive in the Alpha timeline. Still not going to be easy.

But not even a God Tier Prince of Doom is going to break the laws of Paradox Space and prevent an entire alternate reality from unraveling and dying.
>>
>>47172750
but if you do that wouldn't the Alpha timeline be changed rendering it into another doomed timeline?
>>
>>47172819
Not if you were always meant to bring these 'refugees' into the Alpha.

>>
>>47172833

>>
Speaking of doom and aspects, while I understand doom is pretty dooming, with the same be true for a Heir of doom? Since they are explicitly protected by their aspect?
>>
>>47172960
Considering the canon Heir of Doom ended up brain-damaged from preventing some terrible event, I'd say pretty dooming. Through to be fair, that session was screwed from the outset. It's possible that a session that would actually be succesful would also have a more succesful Heir of Doom.

I'd guess it's gonna come down to whether or not the Heir can get past the 'receiving Doom' part of their Class to the seemingly more difficult 'becoming Doom' part.

I'd advise actually doing the implant yourself (though if you wanna integrate it for story purposes that's your prerogative). As for special effects outside of the obvious "willing it to fire in the direction you're looking with it", I could see it possibly granting you greater Insight in-world (not on the level of the perk, not by itself). Since you're actually making it part of your body, I could maybe see the shots being more powerful than normal due to being able to more directly benefit from any innate magical power you're rocking. That's all personal thoughts and theories though since I can't give a solid answer on something like that. Up to you if that's how you wanna work it in story-wise.

>>
>>47173540
Hm. Not sure which you mean, the normal God Tier immortality, or the version Caliborn got from absorbing clock energy.

I'm gonna say no on the normal God Tier immortality, since doesn't work just because they're destined to be unkillable.

Lord English' immortality could potentially be stopped by it, depending on how exactly it works. Not exactly certain about that through. I'd pick up some other perks to help if you want to try that, through that one is a really good base.
>>
>>47173502
Well I didn't expect to be shot in the face. My chain's a lot less perfect-knowledge-of-the-setting than what other people are doing.

I just don't know how Horcruxes actually operate, so, y'know. Polling the audience.
>>
>>47173540
Probably not. No Fate But What We Make lets you ignore fated conditions on yourself that would be required to kill something. Stuff like not being the chosen one, that sort of thing. But God Tier immortality is based on the fate of the person with it. Anything can kill them, so long as they're in a situation where their death would be either heroic or deserved. You'd need to rewrite their fate, make it dramatically appropriate. Perks that let you enforce narrative logic might work.
>>
>>47173825
You're probably spending the rest of the jump as a floaty ghost-thing then, yeah.

Changelog:
-Finally finished Locations
-"Cloning Blues" got a small buff if you bought the 'Light of the Orokin' capstone booster; whoever wanted to be like Regor and make manics, you got your wish.
-Completed Syndicate section
-Items are 100% complete

-Added additional item: Project "Zanuka"

I've technically just got Infested Customization and Warframe Customization to handle as far as mechanics go... Story is just lore, and Drawbacks will be easy for me. Ending is whatever. The two Customization Sections may take a bit of time... due to me trying to take some tips from my old tables from Resident Evil, Bayonetta, God of War and Macross.

RAW, you can fanwank unlimited strength that rapidly breaks the game (and jumpchain, as within ten years - never mind ten jumps - you'd be able to gib the Hulk with your pinky and your sneezes would cause TPKs). Combine with Illumian and the stat-swap sigil for even more brokenness.

RAI, the Cancer Mage is supposed to be a carrier that only suffers cosmetic effects from diseases, and should not get the strength bonus from Festering Anger (nor the natural armor bonus from Vile Rigidity). Whoever did the QA for the Book Of Vile Darkness was either sleeping on the job or in on a prank to troll DMs, and this is why Rule Zero is a thing.

...if you purchase an Infested Strain and a Warframe, whether through CP purchase or by being one while getting the other, I'm gonna say you technically CAN become one. I'm not restricting it this time around.

'Forma' are literally modification tools. They're like little shapeshifting blocks, and they're used to alter the polarity/alignment of a modification slot. But the original version resets your gear to a 'base' level each time and you have to level up your gear all over again. Purchasing it is a far better upgrade.

For 'What's Yours Is Mine', it's the latter. You can start mixing others into it, but it takes longer each time you do it. It's not a 'ONLY two' gig.

Hopefully this helps.

I'm not super familiar with 40k so forgive me if I sound like a dumbass.

Would it be possible to take someone's soul out of the Warp without destroying it or the connection to the person it belongs to?

If so, could you then stuff it in some sort of secure container, to prevent daemons and Chaos Gods from fucking with it?

All while keeping the connection between soul and person intact?
>>
>>47177799
It's possible for a soul to exist outside of the Warp, but I don't believe you can do that to a living person without killing them.
>>
>>47177799
I am not very well versed in 40k as well but from what I've read.
Soul stones perhaps but those mainly work for eldar and those can be corrupted if they are lost in the warp I believe.
For taking souls back I have no clue daemons/chaos warlords can bring back souls but they would most likely be tainted and warped.
>>
Given that there are a lot of options to become psychically active among the Jump, is there any sort of perks that help hide your presence without reducing your power? >>47178087
Nope. All of humanity is simultaneously evolving into a Psyker race. More and more, people will spontaneously be born with above average power ratings. That doesn't stop with you teaching people The Force. And beyond that, they need the Warp to travel, and no matter what, human souls will always live in the Warp and people will always seek power from the gods.

>>
>>47178241
Not that anon, but I don't really get how you're getting "fixes the problem" from "give them more psychic/spiritual powers". You're doing nothing to actually solve these problems.

At best you're providing further layers to the indoctrination that already exist, which is not actually dependent on additional powers. You don't need to hand them powers to give them more focus. You're not actually giving them any kind of barrier.
But what's far more likely is you're just giving additional firepower to the people who do fall, so when they do inevitably fuck up and go full chaos or explode in a psyker storm, they're gonna take a lot more shit down with them.

What part of "the things you are doing and the things you are trying to fix are unrelated" do you not get exactly?

Like, there are healing and resurrection spells by the dozen out there, the medical tech of about a thousand different settings, and nanomachines, son.
>>
>>47178559
That's probably due to the sheer difficulty of getting INTO the Throne Room and the necessity of the Astronomican and the Golden Throne.

Of course, cast enough D&D Miracles or Wishes and you MIGHT get it... or might make everything worse.
>>
Do we have any word on the Lyrical Nanoha update?
>>
>>47178559
It's difficult, because the Emperor's soul is shattered throughout the warp. It'd be like finding individual, specific pieces of dust in a field, then doing that enough times to fill a beach ball.

Then, there's the consequence of the emperor not being in*ish the warp. Humanity would become unable to use warp travel, because navigators wouldn't be guided, for example.

>>
Trying to figure out how you'd fulfill the special scenario in Touhou. Just left mine open-ended.
>>
>>47178559
I'm pretty sure I said that - I spent nearly all of my time in the 40k jump disseminating various STCs to improve lives and building up credibility so that I might get close enough to the Emperor to heal him. It did not hurt that I did have the (at-that-point unaltered) Light of Terra under my command as well, but I played that as the reason I had located so many STCs (which were for minor, but notable, improvements to many crucial things).

One thing I did make sure to do was provide an STC for an effective FTL travel method that did not involve the Warp. Turns out that (according to the dice) Star Trek warp travel creates a realspace bubble in the Warp, since subspace doesn't exist there. Which makes sense. It also means that the warp drive is itself generating a gellar field, but of course this ALSO means that it heavily restricts ship designs; it's only useful for lightly armed couriers and merchant ships, but it is daemon-proof interplanetary and interstellar travel while simultaneously explaining why it wasn't widespread, since it seems to have a size (and durability) limit. (Also, for the record, transwarp conduits are a bad, bad, BAAAD idea. You know the Eye of Terror? These kind of turn into the Pimple of Terror. Tiny, and mercifully you can shut them off, but they end up being a direct portal to the Warp. Oops.)

As far as the Emperor... well. I had an ace in the hole; when I went to Percy Jackson as a demigod, I chose to be a son of the Emperor rather than one of the local gods, which gave me a leg up in many ways. The dice said I succeeded, and succeeded very well - rolled a 99 out of 100 when it came to healing him.

I leave the aftereffects of such a decision as an exercise to the individual reader.

Also, if people can sneak into the throne room to repair it, then why shouldn't they be able to heal the Emperor while their at it?

>>47178656
True, but then, there are a ton of perks that allow your supernatural powers to be converted into technology, so shouldn't you be able to send out remote drones to gather the bits of his soul?

There are a lot of things I think are good that I have planned though.

Absence is due to finals and a financial situation that is most likely going to determine if I get to continue going to school in the fall, so that's been consuming a lot of my time.
>>
>>47178975
>revealing his name will get him banned
You know this how? Only people ever banned from IRC I'm aware of are Teratophilia, who shouldn't need an explanation but the particular banning was after his long argument on why middle eastern countries should be wiped out, and Megacorp, after his nearly psychopath level of obsession with some of the other IRC goers being out for him. People have never to my knowledge been banned for speaking out against other jumpmakers.

But hey, if it happens? You'll finally have a legitimate reason to scream at the IRC.
>>
>>47179014
Except for all we know he very well could've been shitposting-

>>47179020

See?

Nothing doing. We're good.
>>
>>47179014
>Do you? Someone can easily be banned from there.
And if you think that a "ban" will actually keep someone from getting onto a channel, you must be very new to using the internet. It is so easy to get around that.
>>
>>47179014
Except Mr IRC Bogeyman, no one has said anything about censoring info but you. The only other things have been people wanting the guys name for proof and providing reasons, then you screaming about how they're obviously out to get you.
>>
>>47179030
He wasn't shitposting, though. All of the events he described happened. As admitted to by >>47178986 , you now have your evidence that it happened. So what's your damage? Why are you complaining now? Because he leaked 'IRC secrets'? This post >>47179020 only happened because the other person I quoted him likely begged him to. Without it, how can anyone assume he wasn't gone for good? So what's your fucking damage?

>>47179043
Why should the onus be placed on the person helping us to have to get a proxy and jump through hoops?

>>47179049
I'm seeing a bunch of people complaining that we were informed of this event, like we shouldn't be allowed to know. That is a problem.
>>
>>47179025
Because of all the people flipping their shit about him 'stirring drama' and how he revealed things here. Clearly they don't like this anon.
>>
>>47179058
>Why should the onus be placed on the person helping us to have to get a proxy and jump through hoops?
You don't even need a proxy. It's really easy, I don't know why you think it's so onerous.
>>
>>47179058
Oh look, anon's ignoring posts and putting reasons in people's mouths for them. Safe to ignore the guy now fellas, he's shown he just wants a good ol shitstorm and not an actual argument.
>>
>>47179066
Not everyone can easily change IPs. It depends on provider.

>>47179069
>Ignoring posts
Which post is being ignored, praytell? Inform me of your argument-killing point, anon. I'll respond.
>>
>>47179058
So you are literally ignoring the guy that you claimed left forever so you can go "m-m-muh conspiracy!"

Please fuck off for ever and a day.
>>
>>47179107
No. I'm pointing out to you that, as far as anyone knew, he was gone for good. The events anon told us all happened. You can see >>47178986 corroboration from someone on your side of the argument.
>>
>>47179058
This has actually been the state of affairs for me for a few months now, in terms of the update. I really want to avoid any issues in terms of cutting perks, so I've got some guidelines down for how I'm going to construct it.

>Perks will only have their prices reduced or kept the same.
>If a perk that has a discount must be removed from the discount line, it must be added as a non-discounted perk for it's discounted cost
>Drawbacks are exempt from these rules
>>
>>47179088
No, I mean that IRC bans are really specific, they have to be or you risk accidentally kicking everyone out. It's possible to make a blanket ban based on IP that won't backfire, but it's kind of convoluted and I don't think most people would bother with it.
>>
>>47179122
Hey. Don't cut the Befriending drawback. I like that one and incorporated it into my jump story.
>>
>>47179119
>IRC bitched at him and he left forever!
>except he's not, actually, gone
>muh conspiracy!!1

Yeah, you can keep fucking off.
>>
>>47179134
Oh, no. Of course not. I incorporated it too. What I included that term for was because I feel a lot of them can be reorganized in price and expanded. If a drawback becomes too expansive to really keep in there, it'll be split off as a scenario. Consumed by Darkness and a Mother's Love are first up for that treatment.
>>
>>47179128
It apparently works though, because they have banned Tera and Mega both.

>>47179141
>IRC bitched at him and he apparently left forever.
>Proven fact.
This was all we knew, and what anon told us.
>Except he's not actually gone.
Yes, he just came back and told us he's not leaving. This is likely predicated by that anon who was talking to him on skype (an anon I'll remind you is on your side of the argument, supporting the story the guy told us).
>muh conspiracy
My post informed you that this freakout about anons knowing IRC events is why people call conspiracy. I did not actually call you a conspiracy. What you are doing now is called a 'strawman'. You're the one looking more childish and incoherent at this point.
>>
>>47179166
>This was all we knew, and what anon told us.
And the fault is on you for taking that as gospel fact instantly instead of trying to find proof of that fact. Now because you leapt to conclusions you look like a dickhead.
>>
>>47178087
How are you planning on importing the Force, a metaphysical. . . force, into another universe? Once you've done that, how are you going to make an entire race force sensitive?
>>
>>47179183

Not them, but you kind of get the ability to do that for free if you take both Star Wars KOTOR and Star Wars Clone wars.
>>
>>47179166
What I am doing is calling you out on your bullshit. What you are doing is moving the goalposts. Your argument is as empty as your soul. Jumpchain ill needs a savior such as you.
>>
>>47179183
Oh, there's an option to be a Force Conduit in the Clone Wars jump, lets you grant Force powers to anyone you want.
>>
>>47179182
>Fault
But, it was fact. The only issue is the 'left forever' part. That one was only disproven to ALL of us, IRC and thread, after the anon talking to him over skype got him to post here. So no, you don't put the onus on me. You people still misbehaved. You still fucked up, and you are still in the wrong for whining that someone revealed IRC events in the thread.

>>47179183
Force Conduit is a bonus for taking two Star Wars jumps.

>>47179193
Not an argument.
>>
>>47179202
>Fact
Wrong. Just because someone, with zero proof other then their own word as an anonymous, says something first, doesn't make it fact. Basic stuff man, try again.
>>
>>47179166
Anon, looking at his post, he never left. He just hasn't been on in a while because of school and shit.
>>
>>47179225
Not that anon, but you're acting like people don't withhold shit. NanohAnon may just be attempting to avoid drama by omitting information.

Course, that's speculation on my part and not to be taken into account. But it is something.
>>
>>47179220
>Wrong.
See >>47178986

>>47179225
I am aware, the thing is? None of us knew that until he posted. This guy is trying to say that the person informing us is unreliable, just because a single piece of information the 'left forever' was a jump to a conclusion. This isn't fair to dismiss anyone by, because as far as they knew and everyone else knew, this was the case. It was only after this skype guy got him to post that everyone learned he wouldn't leave forever. But regardless? All the rest of the info anon provided is true.
>>
>>47179192
>>47179194
>>47179202

That works on an entire race?
>>

Wouldn't other people from the IRC know the truth or falsehood of that statement?
>>
>>47179246
Which only happened significantly after your initial posts that took the first anon's claims as fact. So no, it still wasn't a fact at the time you were claiming it was an absolute truth meaning yes, you are still at fault.
>>
>>47179255
It introduces it to the universe.
>>
>>47179255
Nah, one individual at a time.
>>
Is there any hard and fast ruling on whether one canon's magic system is affected by anothers?

Like if Waterbending could still function in a D&D AMF, or if using the Force in 40k would attract daemons?

This came about because I found out Commoragh gets warpquakes whenever psykers threw down.
>>
>>47179261
Yeah, and none of 'em have denied it and we even had an anon corroborate it.

>>47179263
Facts are facts regardless of if you know them or not, or who is informing you of said fact. Facts are absolutes. You are committing a gross logical fallacy right now.
>>
>>47179268
So what happens when you leave the universe?
>>
>>47179261

>>
>>47179255

>>
>>47179202

All he did was get me to post a little sooner, I actually follow the thread still too. Just a bit read: really behind with the thread right now because finals have been sapping my time.

>>47179242
Sadly the finances are pretty much all there is to it. My remaining aid is performance based, I so gotta keep all my shit at a high GPA or poof goes school.
>>
>>47179255

Here's the text.

>12.If you have already completed the Star Wars: KOTOR JumpChain, then you're now a conduit of the Force and can grant living things in other universes a Force connection. You will have full control over who and what gains a connection to the Force. You can either grant powers to a few individuals, or an entire universe if you so choose. This power overrides the 1st, 2nd and 3rd notes, but remember, you need to complete both KOTOR and Clone Wars in order to receive it.
>>
>>47179286
It stays.
>>
>>47179296
Huh. Neat.

Thanks man.
>>
>>47179295
>All he did was get me to post a little sooner

Still doesn't change that he technically did corroborate LeakerAnon's whistle-blowing.
>>
>>47179278
I think people generally take blanket effects to work unless it's based on something specific. Ie, if an anti-magic field just stops magic, it'd work on all magic, but if an amf works mechanically by interfering with the weave, then it doesn't do shit to other magic.
>>
>>47179278
Case by case, probably.
>>
>>47179295
Good luck, man. You do what you need to do for you.
>>
>>47178986

>>47179320
What I meant more was that I'm still 'here'. I haven't just up and completely left. I would've seen and answered the question eventually because I'm still here.

Dear Jump-chan

Today I learned that while I appreciate being informed, and even strongly believe in people's right to be so, the people attempting to do the informing can still be autistic semantic fuckwads, and the arguments that erupt from either side of so called champions just make me feel very tired.

Also, Manyfist is a dick obsessed with people having badwrongfun.

But I already knew all of this, so I guess I didn't really learn a damn thing.

Love,
Anonymous
>>
>>47179401
For me, I learned that IRC people need to stop getting worked up whenever someone brings up something they did wrong. Because if people had just focused on Manyfist and Allen being cunts, nobody would have blamed all of them and this would have been a smaller event.

Yoooou know what, I'm gonna get roasted ALIVE for this post, but here the fuck goes:

NanohaAnon/Ancilla is taking a break. Why? Because like she said in >>47179295 and >>47179020, finals and financial situations tend to be a hell of a toll on the mind. Jumpmakers don't get paid to do any of this, we are doing this out of our own free time. When IRL comes knocking, jumpmaking will take a back seat.

This of course will mean that you never know what might step on someone's toes. You've been stressed, right? Of course all of you have. When you get stressed, you don't fire on all pistons. So rather than sit there and risk taking offense at something that she shouldn't, Ancilla decided to do the smart thing and back off for a bit, until they get their ducks in a row. Plenty of us have done that before.

Can Fist be an asshole at times? You better believe it. But they're hardly the big boogeyman that anon is making them out to be in this exact situation. As an admin of IRC, I can confirm that >>47179025 is right, the only two people banned are:

-Tera, for crossing one line too many
-Mega, for lots of infractions. His last tirade merely being the most recent, and last, strike.

It takes a lot to actually be banned from the IRC. I'll give plenty of warnings, do a few kicks, and only when it seems like there is no chance whatsoever, is the IP ban finally given.

Is it a perfect system? Fuck no. You STILL get grudges and misunderstandings. You've got exaggerations, you've got some snips that people don't let go of. Which is just like thread. Imagine that.

I've got a lot of jumpmakers on Skype. I've been talking with Ancilla and others regularly. Not permagone. You've just got Finals for multiple places, financial issues for others, etc.

But Ancilla wasn't driven off. Feel free to grill me, feel free to call me a faggot, whatever. But >>47179285 wanted an answer. So against my better judgement with how this place can be during a shitstorm, I'm giving one.

So poof.

That pic makes me wonder.

/jc/, when you went to Zelda, how did you treat Ganondorf?
>>
>>47179596
Both of those are addressed in the jump. 42nd Supreme Being gives you a free purchase of a heteromorphic race costing 300CP or less, free Level 100, and free companion (new or imported, your choice). All in all you net about 1400CP worth of purchases for a 1000CP cost, on top of the political power. And Realm of Heroes does stack with Level 100, making you even more ridiculously powerful. It's mentioned in the notes at the end of the jump.
>>
>>47179614
Speaking of, wasn't there an Anon working on a jump of that?

I went to Wind Waker. But the Termina Theory was in effect, so Link was nowhere to be found.
I was pretty upfront about the whole... thing, insofar as it was relevant. "Your world doesn't have a hero anymore, so I'm here to make things right. I'm a member of the Twili -- a race from another world."

Considering the backhistory of the setting (hero vanishes, gods flood the world when shit goes down), this was more or less accepted by the people who actually knew about why this was a thing. So, y'know, mostly dragons and giant fish and talking boats and a tree. Tetra got in on that, too, since she's... y'know.
For everyone else, I was that strange little shadow person, a mysterious traveller. I carried around an umbrella to keep the sun off me.
It was pretty cute.

Little shadow gerudo with a sword and a parasol, standing on the shoreline, talking about how she's gonna save the world.

Things mostly followed the plot, with minor discrepancies. Like, I refused to awaken Medli and Makar. Steadfastly refused. I felt bad about it. The King yelled at me. I said I'd find another way. I was the one saving everyone and if I wanted to do it a certain way he was just going to have to deal.
First time I fought Ganondorf, I underestimated his DR. Ended up blowing up the shack he called a quarters trying to overcompensate. No Valoo needed.
Couldn't figure out the damn grappling hook, scuba dived for treasure, got a triangle in my hand, y'know, the whole bit.
>>
>>47180522
> How did you Ganondorf?
When Ganondorf gave his speech... I called him a liar.
If his reasons had really been so benign, he wouldn't have been such a dick about it. He wouldn't throw everything around him into ruin. He wouldn't have completely forgotten about the Gerudo, who he purportedly represented.
Nobody forced him to do the things he did. He could have turned around at any point.
He had every chance to stop himself, and he waited until after to feel sorry.
It doesn't matter what your reasons were.

He just laughed at me.
> "Maybe so!"
> "But until you wish for something with such fury, you'll never understand. When everything else falls away and the only thing left is that desire. Only then will you know what it means to have such regrets."
> "I'd do it all again."

... So.
I did defeat him. Unlike Link, I can't be knocked aside so easily and rendered unable by grabbing my wrist.
But, uh. I'm not going to say it was easy.
That guy STACKS endurance. Have you seen some of the shit he stands up to? It's crazy.
It was a crazy fight.

Anyway, I saved Hyrule. And the world. Hyrule itself continued under its little bubble shield, asleep but not forgotten. Tetra got to go on adventures again.

And I... ... ...
... never played the sequels, so I don't know what happens after that.
Maybe something interesting! But it doesn't involve Ganondorf so pffft fuckit.
I've already written enough.

I'm pretty sure even non-magical players are trying to troll non-magical players.

I remember ages ago there was a controversy about trying to make martials on par with casters by giving them a skillset similar to an anime samurai which was...received about as well as you'd expect.

What the hell, man. How'd he die? He's a shounen protagonist.

You know, giving Karin a sample of Perfect Being DNA as well as a chakra fruit early on and Orochimaru access to advanced genetic engineering seemed like overkill. But the way things are going it's starting to look like a reasonable precaution against whatever is going on in the time extension drawbacks.

Because we took all of them.

This reminded me of something I thought I should mention.

I really really really have to recommend dropping the drawbacks from your digimon jump if your just getting cash.

While there's no actual world destruction Tamer's digital world is from what I remember is one of the more dangerous ones, and Tamers is basically the darker and edgier season.

Huh? Just wanted an adventure.

At #128 Digimon is solidly post-Darkhallow, post-Madoka, post-Blazblue (Mage, Observation, artificial causality weapons and the starting point for making customised Nox Nyctores), post-Raildex (pyrokinesis), post-Iji, post-Macross and post-Age of Mythology (all the Titan miracles).

Anything to look out for in particular?

> I honestly have no idea what to expect other than Bowser with red hair

I mean. That's not totally far off.
The primary difference is that while Bowser can joke around and the games poke fun at him sometimes, Ganondorf is always taken seriously.
What's more, while Bowser actually is shown to get along with his minions okay, Ganondorf is pretty solidly neglectful at best. He mostly just throws minions at shit and doesn't really care if they die in the process. When he really wants something done, he does it himself, usually using a combination of brute force and dark magic. He's a pretty accomplished warrior mage and can pull off some high end fantasy schtick.
Still pretty hammy in his own way, though. But, again, played way more as a serious threat, even with all his retries. (I mean, it helps that they keep moving to different retellings and timelines and reincarnations instead of pulling the try try again against a singular hero angle. So he's more like a legacy villain than anything.)
So basically Bowser, but way more of a hardass.

Also, Bowser does have red hair, ya goof.

This might take a while since I'm going to need to at least try to explain some stuff.

To start while most digital worlds have stable environments tamers is mostly a bunch of from what I can tell completely random pocket dimension.

Normally digimon are kind of immortal. They can die, but under normal conditions their data sort of just reforms as an egg somewhere else.

So normally they just go through their different life stages getting more power, and then have to do it all over again later on. Each of these stages is usually like shonen stuff ridiculously stronger than the previous ones.

In Tamers however downloading (a.k.a. forcibly absorbing) a defeated digimon's power to increase your own is rather common. This is mostly because the concept of digital evolution was sealed away into the form of a child-like entity called Calumon, because of an overgrown data clean up program.

Remember the plot of Ruby and Saphire, and what happened to the weather patterns when Team Aqua and or Magma woke up Kyogre or Groundon?

In Digimon Adventures a bunch of the mook enemies ended up in the real world, and they had similar effects.

These digimon were at what's called the champion level, which is two levels below the mega level(like the things from your drawback). Which basially makes them less than jokes to a mega level digimon.

Now here's there it gets really bad. See eventually Calumon is captured and brought back to the digital world to basically make every digimon without a tamer of its own (or at least a massive army too hard to count) evolve to it's mega level.

Now remember that these are things that individual make beings capable of affecting large scale weather patterns by accident look like jokes.

They were useless against the D-Reaper. Next we have the D-Reaper which basically deletes anything it comes in contract with, unless you have a special anti-deletion program, or it decides not to.
>>
>>47180886
>>47181083

Oh also I ran out of room, and their kind of minor in terms of being a problem, but theirs a human organization called Hypnos.

They basically spent most of their time tracking dimension distortions caused by digimon escaping into the real world, using weapons creates to destroy the data-matter their made of, and trying to develop better data-matter destroying weapons.

Aw, crap. And this was many centuries before Dune, too.

>champion level
>mega level

Okay, fair enough-sounds like a fairly hefty challenge but by this point we've got some bonafide divine beings for pals, a lot of OCPs and a few centuries to hone powers of similar scope. It'll be a legit challenge and maybe even a wakeup call to not get sloppy.

>D-Reaper

...

...oh, shit. Okay. Dropping Glitch, then. The other drawbacks still sound like they'll make for one helluva whacky road trip.

Ugh. We mean...it's not even that we think it's unbeatable for us at this stage-assuming we can't manage to just stuff Calumon in the warehouse or something for 10 years or find a way to bypass the egg reformation thing with double genius waterbending. It's just that, at this point the only thing in our arsenal capable of standing up to that thing is...that.

We hate using THAT. It's embarrassing, irresponsible and it just gives our companions more ammunition to make fun of us with.

It's a shame that this is before you became the avatar of stasis. That's what the D-Reaper wants, really. It began life as an anti-virus program, it only destroys things that it perceives as evolving out of control and becoming a threat to the server (i.e, reality). If it met you post-Anti Spiral you'd get along great.

If you don't want to fight it the D-Reaper does get beaten, or at least de-powered into a for now harmless once again program. Apparently by using a program that somehow reversed time if the wiki is accurate.

Still the jump doesn't actually say when you show up, so you might be there before that, and afterwards basically almost everything might be at casually destroy the Earth and more levels of power.

Oh also if you do decide to fight it the D-Reaper has multiple avatars, and like you can get power from despair.

Also on a side note that egg reformation thing is literally the digimon life cycle, or at least the normal life cycle when their not made artificially (for lack of a better term).

As for stuffing Calumon in the warehouse, it's probably too sapient. Although Calumon seems like the kind of thing that you might want to consider scanning the data of, mostly since it might be useful for developing other anti-evolution weaponry/seals.

If you don't want to risk the evolution power getting out you can probably bribe it with something you might use to bribe a four year old.

Oh also I remembered something else I should probably mention, but isn't really a Tamer's specific thing.

The digimon multiverse has a lot of other dimension besides human worlds and digital worlds, some of which are really damn weird, and their at least partially connected.

For example in Adventures the digital world itself was the result of Earth's telecommunications networks getting too close to a dimension that turns thoughts and dreams into reality.

The D-Reaper might have also gotten it's power from another of these weird dimensions.

So you might want to be careful if you try using some form of dimensional travel.
>>
>>47181560

Considering how psychotic the D-Reaper's definition of 'you grew to far is' that would probably only last until it decided it was time to delete them too.

InJustice Superman decides to bring the world under his boot. He rounded up 99% the criminals, placing them in a deep undersea prison. He made enemy of Batman, who gathered like minded people. Batman's team suffers a lot of deaths. Superman kills Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, Joker (he started this mess), and a few more I think. He also inadvertently lead to Question 2.0's death, she took like handfuls of super pills and suffered from a heart attack fighting against Superman. Batman blames Supes for this.

InJustice comics is great read, they're on Year 5 which is when the game starts. InJustice 2 is coming out soon, and when it does I'll see if there's enough for an InJustice Jump. Assuming no one else has claimed it by then.

Few weeks back he came upon a site that had archived threads of /tg/ and replaced the names of users with random words, some of which ended up meaning that namefag posts shared randomised names with anon posts that were archived. He thought this proved that Red and Merchant and some others were secretly out to get him and posted links to the archive site, screaming at them and others and accusing them of being out to get him and such and such. That was the final straw after many arguments and attacks on other people he's done in the past on the IRC (Often to the point of obsessing over people for weeks or months, continually trying to attack or bully them) and he was banned in the IRC and mocked in thread for mistaking a randomized archive site for definite proof of his claims.

Happened a few weeks ago in thread too, so you can probably go find it if you like. Fun read.

I just realized I almost forgot two other potential issues. The short version is you should really avoid making an enemy of the main characters if you can, or at least two (technically four) specific ones, because it might lead to other horrible eldritch horrors.

The first is Takato whose digimon is normally a red dinosaur thing called Guilmon (which he basically made though a combination of drawing a picture and some random blatantly magical force basically going 'sure why not'), but at one point one of the enemies caused Takato do basically go into a psychotic rage.

This caused Guilmon to turn into an entity called Megidramon, whose very presence was basically causing reality to start breaking.

The second is Ryo and more importantly his digimon Cyberdramon.

Cyberdramon was basically the result of a SMT like fusion being used to seal away an entity called Milleniumon.

Milleniumon is basically a time and dimension traveling super being, that might have made itself in a time loop, ended up being a threat to multiple realities. Oh and to make it worse any time someone managed to kill it Milleniumon would somehow evolve into a stronger more psychotic form instead of dying or becoming weaker.

Which means that tampering with Cyberdramon could risk releasing it again.
>>
>>47182010
Fuck that. I know "don't be a dick" isn't a global rule and wouldn't work as one, but it really should be.

Someone a few threads ago suggeted a 4 month timeframe on WIPless called jumps. Reckon that's a damn good idea, especially since I've never seen him post any.

Oh they're not that great, but fun to read. I did a quick search and only thing they have so far is Year 5. Now Convergence showed us what happened to the IJ-verse, it was destroyed. So idk if the rumors are true if IJ2 or if they're completely unfounded.
>>
>>47182025
>This caused Guilmon to turn into an entity called Megidramon, whose very presence was basically causing reality to start breaking.
Man, Megidramon was terrifying. Guilmon was always this cute reptilian puppy, just the most innocent thing no matter what he evolved into. Then we got Megidramon and he was a world-rending rage beast. The contrast was disturbing. Though that was Tamers' thing, wasn't it? Traumatizing children by flipping the usual monster partner story's script on them was its favorite trick. That final arc, too. The sudden change to nihilistic horror was...well, it was AWESOME, I loved it then and still do now, but it had some damn creepy moments.
>>
>>47182217

>Though that was Tamers' thing, wasn't it?
