So how do Eldar psykers compare with Imperium ones anyway? I'm finding it hard to find exact feats and the runes thing just confuses me more. Would it be correct to assume Farseers are better than Warlocks in terms of raw psychic power but just lack the direct combat training?

this is in fact my final form from SOA +(primal pack leader+ personal zurg strain that includes noxious ultralisk)+(shoggoth+(Evolutionary Potential
Mysterious Time Stream Evolves You+invasive species) ) + molten warrior From Light of Terra Optional DLC - A Grand Day Out. )+ Prototype from prototype.+consumption from Godzilla.

Use the perks from Evo to become acidic, and gain a rust monster's digestive system in addition to your own then use molten warrior to become made out of eldritch fire, now you destroy or at least weaken structurally a great deal of what touches you, can devour most of the rest, can eat in every direction at once and can incorporate and use all the biomass you eat at once, and gain the strength of everything you eat. Alternately you can eat a rust monster and gain their power with absorption if you didn't take invasive species.

Eldar are generally better, but the Alpha + humans and other such freaks outpower Eldar.

>>47106499
I gather from the unit descriptions that Eldar tend more towards "uniform" rote psychic techniques instead of the Imperium psykers' focus on TK or fire or whatever. So in theory, Farseers and Warlocks can do anything an Alpha-level human can if they really tried but think it's too barbaric, dangerous and gauche?

Why don't the Eldar have freaks of their own? Shouldn't they logically have more freaks of their own on average if they have thousands of years' headstart in psychic potential compared to humanity, or did all their aces get eaten by Slaanesh?
>>
If choosing to be a space marine in 40K Imperium what chapter would you join?
>>
>>47106570
The Salamanders, no doubt. I appreciate how they try to maintain ties with the more regular masses of humanity.
>>
Would it be possible/a good idea to make a Campion jump?
>>
>>47106554
They don't really have a lot of aces, besides Farseers. Farseers are their aces, and Eldrad is the greatest Farseer.
>>
>>47106619
I don't suppose there's a better explaination why other than tabletop balance? What's Eldrad's best feat of raw psychic power rather than keikaku?
>>
>>47106554
Eldar were designed from the ground up to be a standardized weapon. Add onto that the fact that Eldar are all psykers and thus have established canon as far as how powers work and the best way to train them.

Humans on the other hand are an incomplete experiment. The Slaani interfered with the genetics of their ancestors to make sure they'd evolve into a Psyker race, but then the War in Heaven and Enslaver Plague killed them off, so humans were left alone to evolve as they would towards the eventually end as a fully psyker race, an evolution that's still incomplete.
>>
>>47106570
Whichever one isn't full of glory seeking dumbasses.

So, none of them.
>>
>>47106597
What?
>>
>>47106643
Craftworld Eldar have their souls claimed by Slaanesh. When you go on the Path of the Seer, you're taught to constantly guard your mind. Constantly dampen your power, and never unleash it fully unless you really need to, but draw it back in afterwords.

Because of this, there's rarely any "aces" like you have with human Alphas & Alpha+. Farseers are probably around Beta level. Eldrad because how old he is, he's on Alpha+ scale.

However Farseers mostly use lightning stuff, and telekinesis. Their main ability really is divination, that's what all Eldar really focus more on. They're more about the subtle approach than going in blowing everything up and having a Daemon nom on your soul.
>>
>>47106597
I think that was supposed to be "Campione!" the LN/manga.
>>
>>47106597
If you mean Campione, someone claimed and made a WIP already. At least, I think it was a WIP, since it sounded like the maker was willing to do some relatively major changes. May or may not have been put in the drive at all.

>By dawning on your war mask you leave your civilian persona behind. This path is were the specialist of Eldar military force are. Eldar's military doctrine is to strike fast and hard, using their prenatural speed to their advantage. Staying in one aspect of the Path the Warrior is not un-heard of but rare for those that haven't fallen into the Path. Often more than not changing to a different aspect is like changing to a different Path, something that is expected given the Eldar's long lifespan.
There's a lot of rough wording in the jump, but this description in particular is an absolute mess.

>Still having Solitaire as the cap for Harlequin
...Yay, I sure do love options that Manyfist agreed needed changing because they invalidate a bunch of other perks you get.

>Corsair Prince (800cp) - (Can't be taken with Pathfinder, Blocks you from other Capstones)
...What exactly is a Capstone here? 600CP perks? Normal 800CP perks, of which this is the only one? Paths of [X], that are already massively restricted?

>Bonesinger is still a restricted, expensive perk
...Ok, question here: Is this an absolute "you can't sing Wraithbone and/or have previously walked the Path of Shaping in your background without this perk" or just a "You get extra skills with singing and somehow managed to get lost on the Path of Shaping."

>Path of the Warrior has nothing but extra Aspects (and thus limited) and the Lost on the Path option.
Really?

>Aspect Wargear [400 CP, 1 free Aspect Warrior (matching Aspect)]
So, what happens when you inevitably purchase more than one aspect (inevitably because it's about the only thing you have to purchase), do you get bonus suits of armour? A mixed set? One only and you have to buy the others (at full price)?

(cont.)
>>
>>47106812
Well I hope something comes to fruition with it, Campione seems like a really cool setting for a mid to late chain jumper who is approaching the level of a mythological god.
>>
If I become an angel in Evangelion, can I change what I look like as an angel anytime I want? Can I go from looking like Lelial-ish to then be a non-euclidean crystal in the shape of godzilla? Or do I have to confirm how I look in the beginning?
Also, how would "Imaginary form" in Worm work together as an angel, would it synergize well?

>The item section in general
This is just... disappointing. Where's the runes, the camo cloaks, the weapons, the fine materials for crafting and wondrous exotic cloths, the pre-made wraithbone objects, the jetbikes, the webway portals, the Harlequin gear, why is the only way to get a ship to buy a 800cp perk that locks out other perks, why can all origins but the Harlequin buy infinite soulstones (or can you just not buy any extra?). I like the Gyrinx and warehouse modification; and I would like the action figures, but with the sparsity of everything else they feel like they're mocking us with their full set of equipment. Also, as a personal desire, why no Warp Spider(s)?

>600cp just to import 8 companions
What.

Honestly, Wakfu, I'm not even mad about this, just disappointed. I really expected better from you. There's big chunks full of elaboration and options (most of the options being things Manyfist put in, slightly edited here and there, I note), and then chunks like the item section or the Aspect Warrior perks that just feel... bare. Unfinished. The rough wording and grammar, out of place location section (missing anything for Harlequins), total lack of Exodites and near-total lack of anything for Corsairs and Outcasts (which, let's face it, don't have enough between the three for their own jump, especially with Harlequin and the Corsair Prince perk added here) don't help there.

I've honestly had a problem making friends with normal people during my Jump. I came to insulate myself within my group of Companions because they were the few people I knew wouldn't disappear in ten years. Which makes what I'm currently writing all the harder.

When I used my full powers to help with their problems? Probably the best example was FF6. I took the Ultros Drawback, which was actually a lot more fun than people seemed to think. Anyways, he developed a crush on Maria, like you'd expect, and asked me to help him impress her. I, being more than a little drunk when he broached the question, enthusiastically agreed.

So we broke into the Opera, kidnapped the main male star, replaced him with a temporarily transformed Ultros, and had him finish the last half of the play. He wasn't bad, actually, but the enchantment wore off just as he was finishing the last song. Of course, people were surprised, but with a little prompting from me, Ultros delivered a stirring, romantic speech professing his undying love for Maria. She seemed rather touched and was inclined to hear him out. Weirdness ensued, I permanently transformed Ultros into a Human, but let him keep four tentacles because I was even drunker by this point.

Fun times. I should have kept Ultros around.

I know I'm late, but I just want to say that I actually like this idea. If all the rewards are simple stuff like cosmetic or common, mundane items I think it'd be fun.

If that's too much, maybe water it down into an Achievement Supplement? It'd add a little board to your warehouse that lists the achievements you've completed, but otherwise you get no benefit.

Various races tinkered with humans and life on earth well before humans evolved, as where Eldar are specifically engineered to be just one thing. Even beta level humans can overpower Eldar, but Eldar do have more things they can do, and basically don't suffer from perils of the warp due to various reasons. Though Eldar can do things to draw on more power from the warp or other things if they set it up, but Eldar tend to favor more subtlety in their psyker powers, as where humans rely upon brute force.

I don't see why I would do that, other than to be edgy. It's also a pointless kindof edgy, which I absolutely abhor. Being sad for no reason doesn't count. That's more emo than edge.
Generally I limit that kind of thing to being contested, like if someone thinks they can beat me by being super edgy because they feel like I won't stoop to their level, I'll prove them wrong. If I fall (and it is a fall) to being edgy, there is generally some kind of direct goal in mind which cannot be accomplished otherwise or without great sacrifice.

But that's kindof being an edgelord just to be one, and I can't really see the point in that behavior.

Anyway, they're MY robots, which I oversee building, so individual components are sometimes stress tested before entering mass production, and AIs can be run through a few simulations before being activated to make sure they're not all murdery, but that's about it.
That's the kind of thing any company would do, if they were building robot limbs and AIs. It's mostly about making sure the whole thing doesn't explode right after you turn it on.
Not... whatever... that guy is doing.
>>
So for those who took the DC Jump and took A game of you; How did the endless mess with you? what did they do to make your life miserable?
Also which ones was it?
>>
>>47108249
Yeah, there's no reason to stress test the physical body of the android with the software running.

>>
>>47107621
>>47107678
Yes, I probably could have phrased parts of that better. A large part of it is that I remember seeing (well, reading back in threads a couple of days) people give a lot of the same criticism to Manyfist on his draft months ago, and him agreeing things needed to be changed. Fast forwards months, add a newgenerally better Jumpmaker, and the same issues are still there. As I said, I'm disappointed.

>"We've explained theme songs aren't an actual thing a million times. He's just doing it to annoy."
>Your theme song is X-tremely radical, though.
>"You see! You see!"

I hung out with the Planeteers, like a lot. They were kicking rad cool kids who were doing their best to defend the planet from some assholes who wanted to ruin everything, and I am a high level druid. It makes a lot of sense that I'd help them out. Things were a lot more serious than I was expecting, though. On the plus side, I got to animate a playground jungle gym into capturing a pigman, and got to present testimony at the pigman's trial using phrases like "All that and a bag of chips". On the downside Zarm is more of a motherfucker than ever. Time-traveling war spirits are kind of bastards that way, especially if they try to get serious.

But things more or less turned out okay. Duke Nukem only melted the ice caps a little before we trapped him in a reactor to use for clean and reliable nuclear energy. And Dr. Blight's chemical warfare only took months to fix with all the future-tech I can build. This place was a very uphill battle for the reactionary heroes. It only takes a little bit to break something, but a lot more to fix it.

here we see the wild Jane Doe in her natural habitat. she makes her nest on the tops of bookcases, banisters, or other high places where she can look down upon her territory without fear of heights or predators. her relaxed posture, with her belly exposed and limbs dangling, indicates a complete assuredness of her own superiority. even more fearsome is the deep rumbling of her nocturnal vocalizations, the very sound of which sends predators scurrying to their own dens. truly there is no creature as awe-inspiring or as majestic as the Jane Doe.

I more meant what were apparently conversations between thread and Fist about somewhere near half the perks? In particular, I do not recall being privy to any of the discussion on Harlequins and Corsair Prince needing to be changed, or Bonesinger needing to be de-exclusived.

Ah 40K you have such a convenient power in the form of psykers, an alpha psyker could easily inflict a fate worse than death so easily just by throwing someone into a warp hole.

40K, for when you hate someone too much to just kill them. We have all the horrors you could ever want and a convenient way to inflict them.

Not that anon, but it's a Choice Of Games text adventure where you're the creator of the first true AI. Your actions and choices determine the role robots will play in society. You can be as cruel as the monster in that comic, but you can also be a kind and loving creator who leads to an era of robot-human equality and prosperity. Or you can help the robots take over. Or make super fighting robots, Megaman-style, to defend mankind. Or just build a sexbot. There are a lot of options the game gives you.
>>
>>47108715
Seconded, awesome game.
>>47108723
It's a CYOA text game. You play as a young inventor with loads of potential, who starts the robot revolution, and you can do it in a lot of different ways. Want to make peaceful, graceful robots made out of wood? Done. Want to take over Alaska with an army of spider bots? Sure. Singularity? Yep. Your company makes robots that will change the course of human history, and how you play determines the end result of the American-Sino war. Yep, China and the USA go to war, and depending on how you play, it could end with China as the new superpower, America nuking Bejing and balkanizing China, or somewhere in-between. Mechs, transformers, and more can be invented.

>>47108617
Honestly not sure how what to say about that. If Cosmic Fact was from one of my jumps I'd be more willing to make an official ruling, so just treat these as random musings.

Being conservative I'd say it means your myths are already known and less obscure, and maybe some people already have put two and two together and realized that you're actually JUMPER! HERO OF THE AGES! Or something like that. That's fully within the scope of both perks IMHO.

It'd maybe make some myths have a solid basis in the new reality at the far end if I'm being really really generous. Like instead of it just being an interpretation of a past adventure in another jump said myth actually happened there, assuming that's appropriate for the setting and whatnot. But that is definitely not an official ruling. Take that as just a fun "hey wouldn't that be crazy and kind of neat"

I'm tired and not really comfortable making rulings when it seems like Cosmic Fact is a much larger influence on that combo than Making of Myth. I'd ask Marvel if I were you. In the meantime I need to run and buy me some ice cream so the pain goes away.

>>
>>47108723
It's a text-based CYOA video game with a MASSIVE amount of options. You get to build your own robot companion, and from there you can attempt to earn your doctorate, usher in the singularity, conquer the world, create your own company, make friends and lovers (Some of whom you literally make in a workshop.) and live the life of a genius roboticist.

Oh, to follow up on that first idea it might mean that your origin had in jump family or something that knew ahead of time. So you were kind of like the Avatar or something where they're waiting for your worldwalker powers to come in so they can win the superbowl or whatever. That would be pretty heavily influenced by setting and origin but it's be a neat source of story potential.

Well, on average they cost as much as a couple of candy bars. I figure that I get more enjoyment out of them than I would eating a handful of chocolate, so I'm willing to pay for them. OKAY SO

Let me see if I can address these one by one.

>Rough wording
Mostly leftovers from the original draft. A document this big, I didn't even catch some of the mistakes during all-nighters.

>Solitaire
Thing #1 I was literally never told about.

>Corsaire Prince/Capstones
Thing #2 I wasn't told about.

>Bonesinger
Thing #3 I wasn't told about.

>Path of the Warrior
That one's on me not finding much information of use on Lexicanum for them.

>Exodites
Thing #4 I wasn't told about even being intended as part of the Jump.

>Items
That I can fix, with enough information. Webway Portals, Wraithbone items, Runes, I can get all of that in now that I know what folks are looking for.

As for the rest, I suppose that's a failure of the approach I took. I've been mostly thinking of this as a fill-in-the-blanks job (quite literally in some cases, considering Exarch). If I'd known I'd need to do a complete overhaul, possibly even down to changing the pricing scale, I hope you'll believe me when I say that some of these would have either been dealt with or asked about. With that said, I'm putting myself at your mercy for the following issues, hoping you've got any salvage ideas:

>Replacing Solitaire Harlequin Capstone
>Separating Corsair from Outsider
>More Perks for the Warrior

Note to self: next time I pick up a fumbled Jump, ask more questions.

Rough wording is just my thought process. I have trouble with sentences of coherent thought a lot.

I don't remember anything about Solitare discussed to be changed. It kind of fits really, you're basically turning yourself into a blank by forfeiting your soul to Slaanesh. Besides Shadow Seer which was way too similar to Farseer, there wasn't really much for Harlequins.

Corsair Prince/Pathfinder were supposedly suppose to be either/or. I was thinking at the time that I would have a capstone. Lost to the Path came up later and I was so preoccupied with the Warrior crap it slipped my mind.

Bonesingers idk what's the anon's problem with them.

Path the Warrior honestly is fine. Warriors don't have much besides Phoenix Lords which aren't really a safe path. Considering it's not you, but the original Pheonix Lord who devours your spirit and wears your body.

Exarchs should get better gear, which I think ought be looked into.

Exodites don't fit. They're not a path, and rarely cross paths with Craftworld Eldar. They don't leave their planet, because their planet is their soulstone. The psychic energies of the maiden world acts like infinity matrix, so when they die they become one with the planet. Way it use to be before Slaanesh came.

The one where I destroy the universe.
I don't use that a whole lot. For obvious reasons.

Stuff like this is distressingly not-rare in jRPGs and anime, albeit still quite high end, so I originally just sortof fanwanked that I'd figure it out after Terraria and Age of Ice... eventually.
Age of Ice for Dimensional and Entropy Mana, and Terraria for Frequent Flyer Miles to produce countless throwaway test worlds.
However, I'm always on the lookout for perks to throw at it further, in order to make it... y'know... not stupid.
As a result the exact effects vary a little bit as time goes on.

So far I've added research into the Portable Hole + Bag of Holding reactions from D&D (that was some fun research!), Reality Hacker from Webmage (screwing up code can reduce areas to a slurry of primal chaos -- which is the goal, so I really just have to figure out how to consistently crash the universe), Digitized Sorcery from Fate/Extra, various forms of portal creation to effect a larger and/or cause further structural damage, magitek (I've got the trigger in a device that's kept in one of my inventories) which Chrono Trigger was really helpful with, and the Infinite Loop from the new Sburb jump as well.
So currently it's looking like it tears the universe into a giant mess of swiss cheese rainbow vomit.

> Why would you do that?
It's a deterrent, mostly.
"If I go down I'm taking you with me," sorta deal.
I am rather spiteful.

>>47110061
Yes, actually. Burning a metal deals with any health risks it poses, otherwise Allomancers would all be dead from heavy metals poisoning. It's only if you leave it in your stomach unburnt that problems arise. So always remember to flare your metals when you're done with a job, to get rid of any lingering bits.
>>
>>47110090
Bug it's original wielder into teaching it to you.
>>
>>47109987
From the Wiki:
>There are 16 metals that Allomancers are able to use: 8 basic metals (4 base metals and 4 alloys) and 8 Higher metals (4 base metals and 4 alloys). There are also 2 additional metals referred to as 'God metals' that sit outside of the main 16, which have as many as 16 alloys each, including Malatium. All these metals must be pure when ingested, and the alloys must be mixed to specific proportions. If the metals are impure or mixed incorrectly the Allomancer could become very ill or possibly die.

I think it only works with the 18 metals and their god-alloys. Burning that stuff would probably either fail, kill you, or both. Those 50 metals and alloys aren't even the only metals in that universe, just the only ones that do anything at all for an allomancer or feruchemist. Which kind of makes sense, since the number 16 is a big deal in that universe, according to TVtropes.

Oh neato! We get to brainstorm something!

Let's see...
>Octiron?
Magic metal that probably does something really impressive, like detecting incoming magical attacks and letting you know exactly what they do. And maybe detecting the spells in a wizard's head?
>Vibranium?
Shake things. Some metals pull, some push, this vibrates.
>Heartstone?
Quite possibly the exploded heart of Doom-Drum. Burning gods gets you the best powers, and this is a trickster god, so probably something huge. Like projecting false images of your future moves to your opponents. A reverse Atmium.
>Uranium?
A real metal that probably kills you.
>Living Metal?
THE WARP IS OVERTAKING ME I AM INVINCIBLE
>Aurorium?
No idea, google turns up nothing.
>Chakra Metal?
Enhancement to chakra conduction, making an advanced user of someone whose never used it before and vastly enhancing everyone elses control so they can do things like use 4 hand signs on their fingers and toes.
>Suspendium?
No idea, didn't feel like googling it.

Well in theory if you went to marvel maybe you could get the formula that gave the Sentry his powers or you could nab a cosmic cube or two. You might be able to get your charisma high enough that you could convince Galactus to make you his herald.
Undertale has 6 human SOULS in the underground if you can somehow get them away from Asgore. I am not sure the ruling on it but they made the main bad guy a god powerful enough to erase time lines.

Magical Purification Blast from Generic Magical. Considering the number of magic boosting perks I've picked up so far... um.... huh. That's rather un-nerving, to be honest. "Jump-chan, can I get a do-over? I lost my temper and blew up the planet."

Going Servant in Fate/ and getting EX Strength can get you lifting 132 tonnes over your head, deadlifting 230 tonnes, and back lifting 1422 tonnes.

Young Justice gives you the option of being able to lift 300 tons (short? not sure), presumably over your head.

Softcap from Elona makes your capacity for GAINZ infinite, but you do have to work for it, and it gets harder the stronger you get.

Going Prototype in Prototype -should- let you theoretically lift at least 110 tonnes, if my estimates are correct. There aren't any hard numbers here, so a fair amount of fanwank is required.

Can someone help me find a perk? It was this weird metamagic thing, made it so that abilities meant to affect groups didn't count your presence when it came to calculating costs or group sizes or things like that. So a spell that would heal eight people (just for example) could heal eight people as well as you, since you got included for free. Anyone remember that one?
>>
>>47110591
I'm gonna have to do a write-up for that, in all seriousness. Medusa very likely caught one square atwixt the eyes, but remembering that bullshit with how she possessed that child there's the distinct chance Jeremiah might've made things worse.

and I just have no sam hell clue on how the reaction to Asura and the Great Old One's gonna go.

>>47110600
Ah- I- Um- Oh jeez, uh. I'm honored, although one would think reaching those jumps to be more fitting? I think the dice are just loaded.

Remember those plots where an MC meets theirselves from an alternate universe? I think we might be seeing that.
>>
>>47110663
Medusa was killed in the anime by the Anti-Demon Wavelength, which Jeremiah has. Though it will probably be a very difficult fight, especially if she's possessed her sister's body, and I have no idea if it will still work, since the jump goes by manga canon.
>>
>>47110292
It really depends on what you mean by "strong".

Though, I think being a Servant in Fate is a strong candidate. At the very least it's probably one of the easiest ways to power. And it's customizable!

I'm actually happy it's my last jump here. It's just fucking depressing. What is even the point in saving it when it clearly does not want my help.

At least I can learn how to make Cyber Elves while I'm here. They seem... nice. Like maybe they were the whole point of this world. Tiny program spirits living half in a parallel world. Their misuse led to wars in the past, but they're alright. I'm just gonna sit it out and study these wonderful things rather than help anyone out this time.

I may try and find a way to convert them all to satellite elves so they don't have to die, but that'll take time.

Well, the only way that's gonna happen is if he actually kills you, or if you or one of your companions tells him and he believes you/them.

It's a bit of a coin toss. Either he'd take it as a challenge and try to kill you anyway, or... he'd go the OTHER route, and hurt the people around you to see what you'll do.
Or... maybe he'll do the second, then the first. He is a completionist, after all.

Not sure where they fall on the list, but other than D&D and 'can't get' stuff I can only think of two other options.

Sims 3 witches can apparently resurrect the dead by raising them as zombies, and then turning then turning them back into normal non-undead living things.

It's technically not a power, but The Legend of Zelda also had an item that let's you play the magical songs from the series, and at least one game had one that was able to resurrect things that had been dead for a while.

>>47111271
Nah, Edo Tensei is actually kinda janky - requires a corpse to form the dude around.

Death god wrath magnet? No, that was just the jump-maker pointing out the fact that impulsively resurrecting whole bunches of people, in settings which have psychopomps/deities/whoever actively supervising the whole life-to-afterlife thing, may not be a great way to avoid attention...
>>
>>47111383
There are two other resurrection things from naruto, one that I don't think was named but was used to rez Gara, and one that's part of the Rinnegan, both cost the user's life. Though the Rinnegan one can apparently mass resurrect a wide area.

>>
>>47111443
As in non-magical, or using 'mostly' the laws of reality as we know them, no random x-element mumbo jumbo?

I know Halo is ridiculous with AI behind it, but the tech it runs on is capable of doing it without an AI it's just less flexible computational power.

Symbiote is ostensibly non-supernatural, and uses quantum computing within cells to do a tremendous amount of calculations at once.

That leads into the Aeon from SupCom having some quantum computing that's pretty impressive, and the Cybran's having integrated AI that are also impressive, and QAI that wipes the floor with them.

MCU and a variety of superhero jumps can give a lot of computer tech as well, and are worth a look, especially Young Justices Amazo Backup Memory letting you give computers super speed.

Actually, on rereading that's not as bad as I thought, unless "much like that of a human Blank – and for the same reason" is indeed saying that they're blanks. I was misremembering somewhat from the discussion last November, it wasn't Solitaire that was removed but the Blank aspect of it (not the immunity to hostile telepathic assaults on their mind, but the not having psyker abilities part).
http://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/43663151/#43663188
It does seem to have been cut down to about 1/3 the benefits of what Manyfist had for it in the final outline post for that thread that got feedback as being about right, though.

Well, it's the Eldar jump. With Harlequins in it. Where else are they going to go? There's not enough to have their own jump, but it would be a damn shame to lose them entirely.

>Replacing Solitaire Harlequin Capstone
Probably doesn't need to happen, actually, so long as taking it doesn't remove any psyker abilities you buy in the jump. Taking out Psychic Race, Shadowseer and any others you want to buy would be a difficult choice if you got it for free, as an expensive perk...
Speaking of which, the origin (and to a lesser extent, the jump overall) could do with an explanation of what purchasing multiple "position" perks does. If you buy Player, Death Jester and Shadowseer what's your actual position in the Troupe?

5:15 is an ability stand which grants the user a sort of short-range omnisentience: the user is completely aware of all things within their stand's range, down to the atomic level, as well as things such as the amount of all different types of energy. In addition, 5:15 grants the user the multitasking abilities necessary to passively process and be aware of all of this incoming information at once.

>Separating Corsair from Outsider
Barring the clarification on what actually counts as a capstone here for the purposes of that perk, they're less in need of seperating from each other (though the perk layout for that origin seems kind of awkward, with two different thematic lines at different tiers) and more in need of having anything else in the jump. Gear, items, vehicles, locations, etc.

>More Perks for the Warrior
There's a lot of options; Something based around Autarch leadership, for instance, or something allowing you to more reliably remove your War Mask/not reach a BAD END as a Warp Spider.
Also, was omitting the Crimson Hunters and the Eagle Pilots intentional? That's another possibility.

>>47109421

So would folding Corsair Prince and Pathfinder into a "pick one" for their LOST TO THE PATH work?

>>47112111
>Solitaire
>The Harlequin background in general

So including a note that you won't lose your own psychic abilities by nature and then an explanation (possibly even a 'thinly-veiled jump fiat' one) of how you've 'played many parts as the troupe's needs dictated' would work out? Nice.

>Bonesinger
Would it be better to bump it down to a lower tier in the same tree and find another LOST TO THE PATH for civilians, or make it an undiscounted general perk?

>Exodites
They're going in now. Especially since this gives me an excuse to add dinosaurs.
>>
>>47112111
Man, I don't remember that at all. However I'll have to agree with my past self, that's a lot better than what I had down before. Idk why I didn't put it down in the pastebin.

>>47112154
Exarchs aren't like Pheonix Lords. You take up the name of the first Exarch to do that armor. However they're not powerful enough to take over the mind of the individual like Phoenix Lord. They're more a psychic hotline of past wearers, they share their information collected over the years. The Striking Scorpions Pheonix Lord wasn't the original one you're right, however he was the star pupil of the original. Auturachs are Exarchs that temporarily act like generals when needed. It's a temporary rank, that offers no additional benefits other than chain of command.
>>
>>47112344
So they are like the avatar in atla?
>>

Not him but I think it's pretty good as a LOST TO THE PATH since it's basically /the/ biggest contribution to the war effort by Eldar who aren't dedicated warriors, warlocks or farseers.

I would personally also suggest the extra skill interpretation of the perk, since as I understand it's something potentially all Eldar can do but requires insane, centuries-spanning amounts of training to achieve so it's still very worthwhile as a great amount of experience with that specific psychic ability.

>folding Corsair Prince and Pathfinder into a "pick one" for their LOST TO THE PATH work

Works for me!
>>
>>47112340
>>Corsair and Outsider
>So would folding Corsair Prince and Pathfinder into a "pick one" for their LOST TO THE PATH work?

I think so. I remember having hard time with Outsider. Mostly seeing it's not a true path, and there's multiple "branches". Like Corasirs are youthful Eldar, then you have their Princes who've decided it's good to be a pirate and never looked back. Pathfinders/Rangers are like in the grey zone, they're vital to Craftworlds and often take up positions ahead of them. Yet they're not technically part the path system.

Unless you go about making Path Civilian general perks, there's literally nothing as powerful as Bonesinger for that Path.

Exodites don't have much for their own path, besides maybe Dragon Riders. Which Shining Spears can cover. If you're to add Exodites, I'd rather see it as more +0cp "Drawback". More physically robust at the cost of less technologically wise.

>>47112411
Yes. However there's a bleed over effect, so personality wise they're aligned with the original wearer/avatar. It's why the armor calls out to the individual. However your life experiences are your own, but you have previous avatars/Exarchs' experiences to call upon when needed.

There's a reason why when you're "promoted" to become a Pheonix Lord, they remove your spirit stone from the Exarch Armor. Your spirit is absorbed by the original spirit of the Pheonix Lord and his/her mind takes over your body. The person that was you is gone, forever, but your sacrifice has allowed the Pheonix Lord to return from the dead.

>Warrior perks
If anything I say helps, I'm happy to have been of service.

>Corsairs & Outsiders
Honestly, I'm not really keen on the "Lost to the Path" being specific to the Origin you grabbed (If nothing else, it makes it very hard to take a background like the main character from Path of the Warrior who spent ages wandering around on various civilian paths, got mad about a love dispute, walked a single Aspect Warrior path and then went Exarch). But yes, making it a choice between the two seems about right.

>Bonesinger
Yeah, the thing with Bonesinger is that it's basically vital to... well, a lot of Eldar stuff. Like, look at the Spirit Seer perk. Post-jump, well, your first problem is going to be getting spirits, but if you can fiddle around and use other souls for it... how are you going to get more Wraithbone Constructs? Why, you sing them up! ...Except you're not a Civilian, so. That's a problem. Except that in theory, any Eldar can learn to do it, so maybe you can do it without the perk just using the natural Psyker abilities? But then there's a capstone perk that's the only capstone that origin can take and it's basically just additional skill at something you can learn, compared to all the other capstones being stuff you can't really get in-jump like Exarchness or immunity to hostile brain-Psyking or much stronger farsight and immunity to crystalisation. Plus, the opportunity cost of being unable to walk new paths since you're apparently locked onto one already.

>Exodites
>Dinosaurs
Truly, even if nothing else I have said here comes to anything I have done a great deed this day.
>>
>>47112596
Aang tried, but she apparently had a spiritual block. How the fuck no one thought of this in her 17 years of life was beyond me. Also she was way too sheltered, living in South Pole for all those years. There was a reason why past avatars travelled. For someone destined to protect the world and spirit world's balance, they need to experience the world and various cultures.

I can think of two possibilities

1. Blue Magic form Final Fantasy 8 might potnetially let you copy the contract if you disect Kyubey properly.

2 = Get Echidna form Dark Stalkers and use that to give people a 'monster state' that's a massively downgraded version of your Madoka jump that they can also infect others with.
>>
>>47112679
Echinda in use for angel form. What does blue magic do?
>>
>>47112651
Exactly. Her trainers were total fuckups, which is why she does such a bad job. Lucky she's got someone who knew the last Avatar and who's actually competent at teaching to give her a hand.
>>
>>47112650
Except that's not how it works. You don't get angry all sudden and blam you're an Exarch. Exarchs happen when you're unable to turn off the Aspect of Khaine. To avoid PDST they have "war masks" which is symbolically their helmet. That's why they're able to leave everything at the door when they come back from war. Those that do suffer from PDST are unable to take off the "mask" anymore.

Not to say they try. However it would be like you having a super fulfilling job, then try your hand at anything else. It'll be boring, and you won't be able to fit in. The seers are responsible for helping the armor choose the warrior. Eldar segment their mind and emotions, it's how they cope with not being like the Dark Eldar. Think them as capstone boosters, but slightly different.
>>

Pretty sure you did. http://pastebin.com/nc0UCZi0

>However they're not powerful enough to take over the mind of the individual like Phoenix Lord.
I dunno, I've read Path of the Warrior. Seemed pretty "meld into the existing Exarch hivemind" to me. Besides, it's not like random other unknown Phoenix Lords aren't a thing.
>Auturachs
Vary. They've been a lot of things, from Eldar lost on the Path of the Warrior but bouncing around between Aspect Shrines, to Eldar on the Path of Command/Path of the Leader, to random Exarches briefly assuming command.

>>47112429
>Unless you go about making Path Civilian general perks, there's literally nothing as powerful as Bonesinger for that Path.
Aside from the fact that general perks are great, and that Path of the Scholar is totally amazeballs, if Wakfu is sticking with "one Lost to the Path per origin, origin specific" you could take the fact that the Civilian paths are walked by virtually all Eldar at one point in their lives and let them pick from any one of the others, maybe making them purchase one of the other perks in that origin first.

>Exodites don't have much for their own path
Seeding new World Spirits (possibly with Webway links)? Their own lifestyle perk(s), dealing with large, often very dangerous animals, crops, trades? A sense for when society is headed down a dangerous path, and the ability to sway others to your belief?
>>
>>47112693

>Echinda in use for angel form.

Wait can that only be used for one specific jump template?

It didn't seem so, and the fact that they have minor tribal tendencies when faces with other monsters (which it seems to define as 'not the Echnda template'), which would be kind of odd if you can only use one template. Plus being unable to use it again on a 'monster' seems odd if you can only make one type.

Then again I could be wrong.
> What does blue magic do?

Let's you copy a defeated beings single strongest technique after dissecting it, and makes it teachable.

I should probably mention the chance of this working is dependent on whether or not an incubator body counts or not.

I... didn't say that was?
>who spent ages wandering around on various civilian paths, got mad about a love dispute, walked a single Aspect Warrior path and then went Exarch)
For context, he spent basically his entire life walking as a civilian (from memory, Path of the Artisan and Path of the Dreamer were mentioned, and I think a few others were mentioned or implied), being a fairly famous sculptor, looking down on those walking the Path of the Warrior as barbaric thugs, then gets really pissed off when his friend doesn't have the hots for him, realises oh hey, he has the murderboner inside just like every other Eldar in existance, gets put on the Path of the Warrior for long enough to train and go to his very first battle and then turns into an Exarch in a process that... well, Lexicanum has a decent summary here:
>Korlandril, spurred by a message given to him by the Autarch of Alaitoc, heads towards a long abandoned Shrine of the Striking Scorpion, only to be bereft of his own body, as his soul is consumed by a far more ancient Eldar presence, manifesting, alongside its former personalities, as Morlaniath, one of the founding Exarch`s of the Aspect. Korlandril is encompassed by Morlaniath, revealing how the Exarch`s Keninaith and Aranarha are but conglomerations of many Eldar throughout the history of the Craftworld forged into one archaic suit of armour.
>>
>>47112851
>Going into the Warp as an Eldar
Noooope. Warp Spiders blink in for tiny periods of time to jump around on a battlefield scale, and they're "regarded as strange and terrifying, the furthest removed from the normal Eldar mindset of all the Aspect Shrines." Jumping in for ship voyages, that can potentially last years at a time? Not only would that be basically a fate-worse-than-death warrant, you'd be basically unable to ever find a crew.

Why would you need a form of teleportation that goes from one side (assuming it even has sides for this question) of the universe to the other?

Do you have any idea how big the universe is?
>>
>>47113374

It did not.

>>
>>47113523
>you must have at least a reliable description of the place to which you are teleporting. If you attempt to teleport with insufficient information (or with misleading information), you disappear and simply reappear in your original location

Softcap, but still highly relevant for the purposes of distances as long as the end of the universe.

>>

Yeah it covers the whole galaxy but there are alot of places cut of from it. If I remember correctly taldeer had to do something special to get to kronus. But anyway it would be out of character for a Eldar to start using the warp unless some extremely dire thing is happening
>>

>>
>>47112340

>>
>>47113589
Just scry your location ahead of time.
>>
>>47113598
That's because of the Necrons. When they became the Necrons, and with the help of the C'tan started pushing back the Old Ones. The Old Ones ran into the Webway, Necrons followed.

The battles destroyed a lot of tunnels, and Old Ones collapsed many of them as well. Then when the collapse of the Eldar Empire, more tunnels collapsed or were lost.
>>
>>47113687
I thought scrying targets entities/creatures not locations. Even so from what I recall there's something like a -10 modifier if your connection to the thing being scryed is like a lock of hair. I presume the opposite end of the universe would thus logically have such an absurd modifier it's impossible for the spell to work.

Also I'm glad I never had to GM a game for you.
>>
>>47113699
Oh fun fact, Newcrons use the Webway too. They use Inertialess Drive for short distances, but for longer distances they use the Webway.
>>
>>47113714
Scrying is being only, that penalty is to there save though.
>>
>>47113699
>>47113729

I hate how Necrons are explicitly singled out as being only able to do science not psychic stuff yet every time they have to fight psychic-capable enemies they seem to have no problem in dealing with things they should logically have no innate capability of affecting.

>>47113732
>is for being only

So it wouldn't work for getting to the other end of the universe, then.
>>
>>47113627
Well, no, it doesn't. Manton Effect protects from power that affect your body, not stuff outside. A telekinetic could still throw shit at you, but couldn't force push you for example.

It's immunity to fucktons of stuff. Conceptual stuff doesn't get to touch you, reality warpers don't get to erase you, mind control and such is completely useless, no benders fucking with your blood/body, depending on whether or not it helps against magic it'd stop pretty much all curses...

It's not a be–all and end–all, but with stacked durability and stuff it really, really helps.
>>
>>47113750
Not unless someone's already there.
>>
>>47113761
I'm willing to buy bloodbender immunity because that explicitly works by affecting physical parts of your body but I think you're going a little far with conceptual/reality warper immunity or magic. Worm powers are mostly inherently deterministic so I was pretty certain it was meant as a defence against physical stuff. Whereas conceptual stuff can target your soul/the very essence of your existence and other more abstract things it makes no sense for that power to affect.

I'm not even sure about mind control; I mean, Alexandria's own body was hijacked by Pretender after Taylor braindeaded her and otherwise he seemed to have full access to her powerset. The fact that Scion used his power to free himself from part of her skull during the final battle also implies some kind of softcap.

>>47113809
That's a pretty big assumption to make. Hitchhiker's Guide and Doctor Who are the only fictional settings I can think of that explicitly confirms there are people living at the other end of the universe.

And besides you're back to square 1 since you have absolutely no connection to those hypothetical people so even if it were possible to scry you'd be up against an effectively infinite negative modifier
>>
Yeah, because that would have worked just fine with Scion messing around, or with the Simurgh.

Also, you need to know exactly where you're going to open the portals. Even with Clairvoyant, exploring every planet on the local solar systems (and locating said solar systems), is going to be really annoying. Don't forget that Cualdron was fighting against the Endbringers, trying to keep the Protectorate together, trying to keep the key players alive and preparing to fight Scion at the same time. They couldn't be bothered with search for suitable planets.

Question about the Farseer thing, hoe far in the future can we see? Can we eventually reach Orikan's level?
>>
>>47113750
They fought against the Old Ones, and they've basically mastered science. So it's why they're able to understand Psychic stuff. Plus it's not out the question to understand it. The Warp is just another parallel dimension, which the Necrons understand pretty well.
>>
>>47113858
Ah, right. Well,

1. Exactly where is it stated Clarivoyant even HAS interplanetary range? Based on the other Worm power showing I never got the impression he did.

2. In a broader sense I'm not disagreeing they were under pressure, I'm just saying that given what we've seen of Shard power capabilities and Wildbow's comments on how Entities would limit Shards when released e.g. that Dragon's creator was tuned by his Shard to be paranoid about AI because AI could potentially be a threat to them it makes no sense for them to bestow spacefaring capabilities on a species with non-spacefaring capabilities.

>>47113885
I'm not sure but I think Eldrad would be a better comparison since Orikan's a Necron and thus precogs through science rather than psychic powers.
>>
>>47113885
Doubtful the thing I remember about Farseers they don't see a clear future. More like different times and choose between the best one but even those aren't a sure thing.
>>
>>47113844
Well, if it only worked against deterministic/physical powers, then it's indeed completely useless. I was thinking it would defend against everything, because of this passage in the notes:

>Assume that outside of this jump powers adjust to still be functional. Being able to nullify parahuman abilities would mean you can do the same to other incredible powers for example. Fanwank something.

Buuut, if it doesn't? Then yeah, you're probably right. Should ask WormAnon about that if I see him...

That's a good idea, admittedly I was mainly thinking of how the thing stood up to comparative stuff in canon and how things like "soul" and "concept of existence" that come into play in Jumpchain present massive OCPs to Worm that I've noticed other jumpers frequently exploit to get an edge there.

Sorry about the spoilers, seems like everyone here's an expert on Worm sometimes. But yeah-it was super duper endgame around the point where the plot devices were becoming more and more blatent, and Scion breaks a lot of assumptions on Shard powers in general.

>The difficulty of this check depends on how familiar you are with that location and what sort of physical connection (if any) you have to that place. Furthermore, the difficulty to scry the desired locale increases if the location is extremely far removed, indoors or underground, or on another plane. The DC of this check is 20 + any modifiers related to your knowledge of the area, your connection to it, and the location's distance, as set out in the following table. If you fail this check, the scrying attempt simply fails.

Most of Cauldron capes weren't really limited outside the final adjustment when adapting to a host. After all, the strongest powers that we see them wielding were part of the 'private' collection of shards that an Entity would keep to itself. In fact, Eden has to do a final quick adjustment to PtV before passing out because it didn't had time to adjust it before smashing its face against the planet.

All of them show powers that can be tied to what Scion's avatar has shown: Eidolon (switch between different powers), Legend (exotic energies manipulation), Siberian (a basically invencible projection), Hero and Shatterbird (wavelength manipulation).

It's clear that those shards weren't meant to be handled to hosts, and because of that they weren't limited.

He's factually correct, but he's also a dick for what may or may not be justified reasons. Seems to be a recurring trend in jumpchain.

>>47114257
Fair enough, although I'd note even the unrestricted ones pale in comparison to Scion's stilling technique apart from maybe Eidolon's-which draws on multiple Shards to beat him with. Seems Scion's bullshit regen caps out at matter annihilation. And even then Scion had an ace in the hole for that, albeit a reletively costly one.
>>
>>47114233
Two different types of conceptual weapons. Black Keys are from Fate, and basically force those injured by them to obey natural laws in regard to their injuries - in other words, their wounds can't magically heal. Red Keys come from Umineko, and annihilate things on a conceptual level - something killed by a Red Key no longer exists, except as an outmoded idea which people no longer take seriously.
>>
>>47114329
Well, I can and will agree that he was correct. I don't see the justification though.

>I also suspect there's quite a lot of crossposting with /tv/ based on how the average thread over there goes.
/tv/ is a golem created by the worst parts of /co/, /r9k/, and scraps of other boards. I don't even go there ironically. I don't even want to think what its going to be like this weekend with the Civil War premiering and BvS's underperformance in the box office. I do not recommend visiting.
>>
>>47114334
Oh ok-

>Umineko

That's horrifying but not really relevant considering it's not a jump and I doubt you could even make anything but an endjump out of that nonsense.

Either everything is bullshit made up by a lonely girl with abandonment issues or the whole shebang is being run by Jump-Chan's sisters. Or something.

Really stupid interpretations of perks; I can sympathise given, say, what Bancho's tried to bullshit in the past even if I think he went a bit far in this particular tinstance.

>spoiler

That explains a lot, actually.

I like lurking there just to be amused by how awful they are. It's like going to the zoo specifically to watch monkeys throw shit at each other
>>
>>47114386
Someone was trying. It was unanimously agreed that it needed a LOT of work, and we haven't heard from them for a long time, but it's on the table.
>>
>>47114312
>Fair enough, although I'd note even the unrestricted ones pale in comparison to Scion's stilling technique
IIRC WoG is that Hero's shard was basically "Entity wavelength manipulation: the Tinker Version."
>>
>>47114424
Oh.

Color me pessimistic but I wouldn't blame him for just quietly giving up and never bringing it up again. Like I said, I just can't imagine how you could make sense of how Witch stuff-and by extension how anything that can stand up to Witch stuff-works without endjumping the thing. Low level Furniture may or may not be capable of busting universes. One of the Witches carries a scythe can can erase the very existence of equally powerful multiversal reality warpers.

>>47114446
I think you misquoted me and yeah, pretty much although presumably he'd still be limited by merit of not having Entity physiology and having to make do with Earth's resources.
>>
>>47114417
This was me genuinely misremembering at the start guy was an ass about how he corrected me but really can we move on. in this case i thought it worked across available dimensions and space. since we know clairvoyant at least sees all the clusters scion made of possible earths and scion saw far more and we know doormaker can transport anywhere on any of those i thought it was similarly scaled to distance i was wrong.
>>
>>47114476
Yeah, I wouldn't blame him if he did. Umineko is HARD to make into a Jump - the only way I can think of to make it work is to basically make it into two different Jumps - a Mystery Gauntlet and a Fantasy End Jump.
>>
>>47114476
>I think you misquoted me
No, just pointing out that Hero's power was pretty comparable.
>>
>>47114612
Jumps are always hard to make.
>>
>>47114946
I get that, but Umineko is especially hard. Frankly it's at least as hard as making an Exalted jump and in a completely different direction.

Blank=no soul/aura power ever
>>
>>47115344
Definitely Blank. Though going Psyker in LoT is pretty fucking risky, if you don't have a broken deadlight and a bunch of mental protection perks stopping you from getting Daemon'd. Especially given where you get the ability from.

>>47115660
Nah, standard thing for the 40K jumps is that Blank in one doesn't interfere with psyker abilities from others. It's odd, but there you go.
>>
>>47115660
Not if you buy it in different jumps.

Nah, that's just your 40k soul, which isn't even a proper soul, just a shadow impression in the Warp. Not having soul there is actually a good thing, because it means no SuddenlyDaemons.gif

>>47116383
>Viator of Nullspace 600cp (Discount Drop-in)
The universe has noted your arrival, jumper. Something deep in the immaterial plane, past even the eyes of Chaos, bows before you and your benefactor. With a simple exertion of will, Psyker abilities nearby can be weakened, strengthened, or even destabilized as currents of the warp bend around them. With greater concentration and practice you may be able to meddle with warp travel (for good or ill) or even create miniscule warp storms. (see Winds of Magic for Warhammer Fantasy equivalent)

Basically it messes with warp stuff.

I know the text, I mean what tangible benefit could you get from it aside from the obvious ability to strengthen/nerf nearby psykers?

Would this help protect you from the perils of the warp? Would this let you use personal warp travel without screwing yourself over to the Nth degree?
>>
>>47116507
>>47116540
but that is only useful for 40 k jumps why would you want it
>>
>>47115798
Your soul does effect your emotions, you know. Blanks have dampened emotions, can't handle social interaction, have terrible luck, and are weird autists that barely act like people. This is in addition to the fact that being Blank makes any race with a warp presence hate and fear you on instinct (and this includes all humans). This is all a product of not having a real soul, it cripples you as a human being.
>>
Is there any way to get rid of the 2hr time limit from animorphs? Not just manage it but completely get rid of it?
>>
Thorn from Tower of God give you insta sage mode in Naruto if it regulate any energy around you and it may be one of few things that can ignore Sussano. And it can be big help in worlds like 40k where things rely on supernatural power too exist like deamons. All of this is possible only if Thorn can affect other sources of power. So NinjaAnon can it affect other sources of power?
>>
>>47116683
Does the Blank Perk in Imperium make you an actual Blank? Seems like it's the intent and spirit behind the Perk but it doesn't actually say so.

Anyway, all of those are either 40K-only issues corrected by getting a soul in any of the other verse jumps or things that should only affect native Jumpers (since if you've done Body Mod your real world chemical emotions should stay).
>>
>>47116846
The Thorn Forged to Kill Kings can do a fuckton more than that. It says that it controls all surrounding energy to the benefit of the user and detriment to their enemies, it would allow you to kill the Chaos Gods if you really wanted to.

This is still under the assumption that it works on energy other than Shinsoo but since it says energy not Shinsoo in the text I'll assume it does until the jumpmaker says otherwise.

Either way by the end of the ToG jump you can kill just about anyone you want in other jumps by raising the ambient Shinsoo levels to an extent where they couldn't survive.
>>
>>47115344
Blank doesn't transfer too well and there are a lot of places where you can get things that minimise supernatural effects or safeguard your soul so full psyker.

Of course you may also just want to go alpha psyker, augment it with other stuff and take whatever else is neat.
