eBay's the best. Are you trying to avoid seller fees? You can use something like Bartertown or trading forums but everyone there will be trying to Jew you whereas eBay forces people to buy at market or slightly below (or try to win a lucky bid).

The fees from eBay will probably be worth the ease of selling and the increased price you'll get compared to some faggot offering you half of what you would normally get on eBay.
>>
>>46954571
>Ork players
They're known for being the worse type of player for knowing/understanding rules.

But then again, if they did fully comprehend the rules of the game then they wouldn't be Ork players now wold they?
>>
>>46954639

I don't see much Eldar posting anymore these days.

SM shitposting is always started by other factions whining about them. Tyranids should also be on the list.

IG and BT used to be on the list.

SoB should be on the list.

And before you say Tau shitposting is defensive, there are active Tau shitposters who pretend Tau aren't OP and who actively stir up shit without provocation.
>>
The xeno scum of the Green Lantern Core are shifted into 40K space. How does this change the universe? Would they be strong enough to be a faction?
>>
>>46954666
>eBay makes you pay market price plus shipping

Exactly why no one smart uses it anymore.

There's the occasional good deal, but its not what it used to be. It's a place for sellers to Jew buyers, and for buyers to make PayPal claims against sellers.
>>
>>46954666

Not trying to avoid fees. Just haven't used ebay in years. It used to be super easy to rip people off. I don't know if that's still the case, but I was just scoping out other options.

I found Bartertown earlier today, but the place seems like a shithole with others expecting me to ship goods without payment. That's not how the world works.

I think that's some kind of logical fallacy.

He's saying "no ork player knows the rules". What non-ork players do or do not know is irrelevant.

Now, if your claim is "hey faggot, it's not like the non-ork players don't have non-rules-knowing faglords amongst them", then I suppose the counter-argument would be "yeah, but at least ALL orks don't know rules" or "two wrongs don't make a right, read the rulebook you filthy grot".

Ork players have a reputation of being especially bad.

I'm sure I'm not the only person here who has seen the kind of advice they sometimes give other players. You see them forgetting basic rules suggesting things like charging the turn you outflank, shooting one unit and charging another and shooting fliers with blast weapons.

Are they trying to summon daemons, rape babies, and want to make the Emperor cry? No? They're golden but the local government might not agree.
>>
>>46955362
As long as it isn't heretical, the Imperium couldn't give less than s hit about what you do. tHere has been no fluff about butt sex and genital manipulation as heretical.
>>
>>46955270

Always D-thirster, unless you have no use for a D weapon against your normal opponents.

>>46955362

It's literally irrelevant. As long as you're not a heretic or xenos sympathizer you can do whatever the fuck you want. Heterosexual marriage is probably unimportant and insignificant enough as it is.
>>
>>46955362
The Imperium only cares for this

Are you human? If yes then get ready to repay the blood debt to the Emperor in one way or another. If no then get fucked to death by chainswords. Also pay your taxes, otherwise get raped by bolter fire.
>>
>>46955362
>>46955430

Remember, the Emperor got rid of all religion until the Imperial Creed popped up. And the Imperial Creed doesn't mention anything about sexuality or marriage, so one can safely assume there are no taboos regarding gender, sexual orientation, or marriage, because all of those stem from old (our) religions.
>>
>>46955442
Figured. Swinging at initiative 1 just feels obnoxious though, even if it is crushing everything into the dirt.
>>

You can only swap one gift for a weapon in the chaos daemons codex and even if you could you have to choose to use one. If you have a master crafted sword and one that gives you rampage you can choose which to use for which bonus and +1 attack for having 2 weapons.

As for bloodthirsters, the D axe is generally accepted as the best, you can buy other weapons for him to clear away weakers units with suffering I1. I build the unfettered fury bloodthirster with skull reaver and a eather blade which does the same job with much more versitility but less reliability, that's something to consider.

Ain't nobody being "oppressed" because they aren't being allowed to slice off their penis or marry a faggot.
>>
>>46955362
The imperium as a whole doesn't care, as it is actually rather lax when it comes to laws, only caring about xenos and heretics. What you're asking is like asking "what is the human species opinion on gays and the mentally ill who mutliate themselves?"
The answer is: it depends.

What the hell are you talking about? None of the big "religions of today" are prehistoric.

We have historical accounts or records predating all of them. We don't have to dig into prehistory, because there is a period of time between prehistory and the birth of "religions of today."

Modern identity politics and /pol/-tumblr turf wars have nothing to do with what that poster was saying. The imperium is described as the "most-oppressive regime imaginable" in the opening blurb of every brb down through most of the editions and a significant amount of black library books have that same intro in the front.

The point is that its hard to believe the "most-oppressive regime" would be so laissez faire about anything let alone sexuality.

>The sword that gives Rampage gives Rampage just for having it. No need to swing.
It says "The bearer of the blade of blood" has rampage. If we're going by an ultra literal interpretation then unless your unit is called "The bearer of the blade of blood" then he doesn't get rampage.

Or it could mean that if he brings the weapon "to bear" against an enemy he gets rampage. Either way I don't think he gets rampage just for owning the sword.
>>
>>46956158

Nowhere was it said "everything" was DIRECTLY caused by those religions.

Are you trying to imply that these current issues don't stem from current religions?

>I don't remember very many cultures were open homosexual relationships and marriage was on par with heterosexual ones.

>>
>>46956020
Christianity is about living by Christ and actually means loving everyone like Jesus did. Saying that gays are to be hated and stoned is the same as saying that Jesus never died for your sins and that you are to live by the old testament which was meant as punishment for those who lived backed in those time for to repent past sins before the New Covenant along with sacrificial blood.
>>
>>46956171

How did "yo, don't fuck other guys" turn into stories about splitting oceans and angelic wars?
>>
>>46956099
Except sexuality isn't irrelevant to the imperium. Sure its not what they directly care about but it is related to their core concern, a constant flow of warm bodies to the front lines. There are surely some strictures and rules about it even if they are mostly related to maintaining the maximum breeding output of a planet.

I don't even know. I'm not the anon that brought it up, but it's still a dipshit stupid thing to imply that older-than-modern-religion = prehistory.

And I don't particularly give a shit, either. Marriage is a combination of religious ceremony and inheritance law. If you aren't interested in a deity's opinion and you aren't planning on legally binding your estate with another for the purposes of determining ownership of possessions in the event of death or divorce, then marriage is a scam to get you to fork out thousands of doubloons to make a promise to someone.

The Emperor is dead, so his opinion is moot and nonexistent.
The Imperium owns everything anyway, including your soul.

Individual marriage and sex taboos in 40k fall to the individual worlds playing "small" government within the greater imperium.
>>
>>46956144
Many, many, many, many and even more many of the modern taboos regarding important areas of life such as sex are older than modern-day religions.
So what I am saying is that because bird shit on your car is younger than the car, the bird shit has not given birth to the car.
>>
>>46956219

When populations are as high as the Imperium is, sexuality is irrelevant. You will have enough hetero breeders regardless. And even worlds that don't will find other ways to generate the flesh tithe.

Human bodies is the ONE resource the Imperium gives NO shits about. It is their largest and most expendable resource. This is explicitly stated over and over in every single source regarding the Imperium and its war machine.

It is. At least the way the atheists go about it. Otherwise it wouldn't be called atheism, it'd be called agnosticism or "being a normal human being." Something the fedoras don't understand. It's like how feminism isn't actually about equality. Otherwise it'd just be called fucking equality, or humanism.
>>
>>46956209
First, learn what "coalesce" means.

Second, you do know that holy texts are not just someone making shit up on the spot, but collections of long held beliefs regarding all manner of things.

You know how in old vampire stories garlic, silver and running water like rivers can be used to stop and hurt vampires? Because they're considered holy. Because in time people have noticed that silver and garlic have healing properties and you don't get as sick from drinking running water as you do standing water. And the simple fact is that solver and garlic do have antiseptic properties (some hospital equipment even have silver coating) and if you've done any wilderness survival, you know to drink running water and not standing, because it doesn't have all sorts of bacteria brewing in it.

Religious dogmas regarding how to live your life didn't just spawn out of nothing because "any other way is wrong". A lot of things were purely discovered to work best that way and not the other. Of course there's things that have become outdated, but I think there's a lot that people in old times knew that we're slowly beginning to realize weren't such dogmatic and narrow minded views on the world.

Mutilation of the human form would be seen as degenerate, and mindsets that distract imperial citizens from performing their required tasks would be harshly dealt with, regardless of its cause. I doubt they have any specific laws against either, but the Imperium isn't exactly a place where people have the time to think about anything other than grueling labor in service of their Emperor.

that said, the upper echelons are going to be filled with a bunch of disgusting old monsters who do whatever they want regardless of the consequences because of their immense personal/political power. Imperial Justice will find them eventually.

Tau are pretty under powered, its fucking gay we don't get psyker powers.

I think tau would be alot better if instead all troops started out with bs4 and go up from there to represent how much better the targeting system they have is in comparison to the rest of the imperium. Also, all skimmers should have av14/13/13 and should be able to have a 4+ save against melta/armourbane.

Another thing that makes me mad is how over costed suits are. Each suit fully kited out should cost 35 points max per model and have 4 wounds. Also a 3+ save instead of a 4+ to represent how far advanced tau armour is.

Guys, what if Ork transports "Every single transport" could hold unlimited units? Such as the transport capacity on the inside fills out, every extra ork can "Hitchhike a ride" where they latch onto the vehicle. Each 5 orks is -1 inches you can move and each ork can take a hit for the transport and has to make its toughness test. If it passes, the ork dies. If it fails, the ork dies and the transport takes the wound,
>>

I don't know, but I just came up with a grenade that would help assault armies.
Smoke Grenade: Throws down a cover a smoke that the assaulting unit charges through.

You must declare that you are throwing smoke grenades when you declare a charge. After your opponent rolls to hit in overwatch, but before they roll to wound, your opponent must re-roll successful to-hit rolls in overwatch. All modifiers that affect to-hit rolls in overwatch still apply in the second roll.

In Stronghold Assault, do Obstacles bought for a fortification (such as a tank trap) need to be deployed as a single (up to 6") piece or can it be broken down to several pieces (totaling 6")?

Breaking it down seems like it could be abused. Like deploying a mesh of tiny slivers of tank traps, spaced close enough to not allow most vehicles to pass through them, but in small enough pieces and far enough from one another to fully surround the fortification.

Astral Knights, Celestial Lions, Crimson Fists, Crusaders of Dorn, Death Strike, Emperor's Warbringers, Excoriators, Executioners, Fire Lords, Fists Exemplar, Hammers of Dorn, Honoured Sons, Invaders, Iron Fists, Iron Knights, Knights of Dorn, Red Templars, Shadow Wolves, Sons of Dorn, Soul Drinkers , Subjugators and White Templars. A gorillion color schemes.

IMO Invaders and the Hammers of Dorn are the prettiest.

Just sayin bro, maybe you're feelin a little heretical today. It's cool. Maybe you wanna drive over your enemy in a vindicator covered in the blood of your own expendable men while shelling yourself at danger close. It's cool. Maybe you wanna decimate your army to show em who's boss. It's cool.

Just a suggestion in case you wanted to be a heretic instead but do basically the same tactics.

Siege assault vanguard is pretty baller but it is a bit limiting. You gotta have a siege lord and you gotta always lay siege to a siege objective or you lose the game. You get access to a gorillion heavy and siege type weapons and slots and you can put shields on all your dudes to make em ded ard.

Keep in mind the siege army has no objective secured, because it isn't updated to 7E.

The only "troops" which have objsec are in CADs, which siege assault isn't. My guess if they ever FAQ or update it, they would make either the troops objsec or they'd do something funky involving scoring with heavies.

I'm kinda thinking a sort of cold Mad Max setting. The test to become an initiate into the chapter is a long rally race over icy terrain in big-rigs. Sabotage and vehicle combat is encouraged. The winning rig starts the process of becoming a space marine.

I imagine the armor as being some sort of camo or drab cover, covered in a whitewash for the winter months.

I was recommended to yank the raptors for more bikes. I thought of this originally, but opted to deep strike raptors behind something for the double melta shot. Since that isn't actually enough to kill something (except for Explodes! results), I figure there's some weight to bikers for the sorcs + lord. Since the list lacked anti-tank, I kept the melta on the bikes so I could pop transports and assault with that group (can still use Deceit in combat, lol). Fiend formation is in there for ultra-fuckery to armor and can actually smack shit thanks to the smith's WS + formation bonus. Sonic dakka removed for sonic bombardment. Can still clear out units, but can also smack armor in a pinch (average armor, 12, on 4+).

Didn't opt for rapier as per one suggestion because I'm using things I have/can easily convert.

use the carbide wheel on my dremel to remove the hammer and replace it with something more fitting for a chaplain. I think I have some nice banner toppers from the command squad kits.

I was also considering grinding down some of the symbols, or at least the one on the shoulder.

The sigmar symbol on the loincloth will be very hard to remove without damaging the loincloth. I may remove the loincloth and either replace it or just use the skirt.

I personally thing the relic is pretty cool, though it does seem like a strange thing for a chaplain to carry around, and it makes the model very tall. I could replace it with a spearhead, but why would a chaplain buy a power weapon when they already have the crozius arcanum?

Beyond that I will see what little details I can add to make it a little more 40k.

Anyway I will post pics when it happens. Probably this weekend, if not later in the week. I won't like the 6 dollars off ebay go to waste!

I'll probably opt not to assemble the model fully. It seems like the kind of model you'd want to assemble after painting. All the AoS starter models seem a lot more complicated than I thought they'd be.

Speaking of which I also have some AoS Starter pack retributors. Not sure what to do with them, but the models are lovely too.

Sounds fun, That hammer looks like it should be actually pretty easy to turn into a crozius with the right eagle topper. You gonna keep the pretty spikey bits? You could stuff in some of the parts of the fancy dangle chaplain with the smokestacks on his backpack. I agree about the icon, that it is super cool but doesn't necessarily seem all that 40k as is. You slap enough eagles on something and everything starts to look imperial though. I wonder if you shave that sigil on the front off if there's enough room to use some transfers...

>>
>>46959755
>I think the papers will look sweet, are the runes painted on in that picture? If not, you might wanna fill em in with greenstuff to avoid looking kinda heretical.
they are part of the model

they don't look super heretical, but they also don't look 100% inquisitor friendly either

The cape is two separate parts from the main model. I'll have to decide if I want to fill in the runes, replace the cape with something else, or forgo the cape. Probably not the third option, as I really like the cape. If I do not use the cape, I will want to do some work to the back of the model to make it look more 40k

Another option I could explore is replacing the entire right hand with a storm bolter. It is kind of at a weird angle though and repositioning the arm would involve mostly sculpting a new arm.
>>

>>46959884
Wonder if the icon hand could hold the crozius and the axe hand with a gun. Might be less terrible than having to forge new arms. Liquid green stuff would probably solve the papers best.

It almost seems like a waste not to use the icon, but you could definitely mount it on a suitable vehicle. I don't know what chapter you roll but that would look black templar as fuck actually, especially with those candles..
>>
whats the initiative on a chapter master? battlescribe lists it as 4, but i dont believe it
>>
>>46959919
The relic has a bunch of detail on the back too, it's really a wonderful bit

replacing both hands is well something I guess. Unlike the right hand, the left is attached to the arm so I would pretty much have to destroy the hand to remove it from the model. I think it'd be possible to replace both hands, but it would be a much harder conversion

I haven't settled on a chapter yet, but it would be a chapter that would accept working with a Ordo Hereticus Inquisitor (next in line to convert, once I get my hands on a plastic farseer and a few more bits)
>>
>>46959848
You're probably overthinking this. Almost certainly, most stats will remain the same as they are. The "revised stats" will probably simply be the tacking-on of Pursuit, Agility, and Combat Role, maybe with a few blanket special rules and one or two specific special rules that re-grants skyfire ore something.

That'll make it real easy for FW to release a quick-and-dirty PDF with the similar tack-on updates over the internet.

How strong is the average Tau from the Fire, Ethereal and Earth Castes? I realise that it is said that their main homeworld has lower gravity than Terra. However, I assume that this won't be the case for every single Sept. These rifles also look heavy even if they are made of light materials.

airbursting frag projector, crisis flamers, yvahras cancer plasma flamer, and the entirety of the optimized stealth cadre
>>

Right
>>
>>46959954

It's 5. If it was a mere 4, relic blades and the burning blade would be garbage.
>>
>>46960424
Fire Warriors are strong enough to carry guns
Earth Caste are strong enough to carry building materials
Ethereals are strong enough to carry the burden of leadership.
>>
>>46960424
>no rucksack
>hurr muh heavy rifle
>mfw humans carry over 120 pounds on their back, not including mortar base plates and machine guns that they also lug around

Tau are weak. They train hard core at kung fu just to be able to match random human faglords flailing around in melee.

I like it, maybe give it 17 + D6 shots if you want to make it Orky.

Any Commander, Bodyguard or Crisis Squad Leaderwith can equip himself with Mult-Sepctrum Sensor Suite. The entire unit ignores cover so long he doesn't shot.

Smart Missile System (image) also ignores cover and line of sight. It can be equiped by Firewarriors, Devilfishes, Hammerheads, Riptides, and Stormsurges.

Seeker Missiles (One use for each on the field) can also do the same with the help of 1 markerlight.

There are also formations that gives ignore cover to a bunch of units like Optimized Stealth Cadre (Ghostkeel+2 Stealth Suits).

And of course the 2 Markerlights gives you ignore cover.

Are you sure you don't mean Death Worlds?

Because dead worlds are the classic 40k scenarios, with no special rules.
There is nothing in the way other than physical obstacles.
>>
>>46960464
Probably depends on specific conditions. For example if theres no atmosphere or the air is toxic everything would gain rending to represent the potential danger of protective suits being ruptured or vehicle damage exposing the crew inside.

Farsight 6E supplement has "Echos of War," not present in Farsight 7E.
One of them has rules for fighting on a warp-beast infested rust desert planet:
Relevant rules:

>The Red Storm: The Night Fighting mission special rule automatically applies during the first game turn, with no need to roll. At the end of every game turn in which Night Fighting is in play, roll a D6. On the roll of a 1-5, Night Fighting continues to apply in the next game turn; on a roll of a 6, it is no longer in play for the rest of the game.

>Rust Devils: At the beginning of any turn in which the Night Fighting mission special rule is in play, the player whose turn it is rolls a D6. On the roll of a 1-3, nothing happens; on the roll of a 4+, they may place a large blast marker anywhere within 12" of a table edge that is not closer than 1" to model or piece of terrain; this marker is a rust devil. It is treated as Impassible terrain and blocks line of sight.
>At the beginning of each turn, the player whose turn it is must scatter any rust devil markers in play 2D6" – if a Hit! is rolled, the marker must be moved towards the nearest unit (friend or foe) by the shortest possible route. If the movement does not cause the rust devil to come into contact with any units, it remains in play. If this movement causes a rust devil marker to touch a piece of terrain and/or one or more units, it stops as soon as it is in base contact. Any unit touched by a rust devil marker immediately suffers 2D6 Strength 9 AP- hits that use
Random Allocation. Once these hits have been resolved, remove the rust devil marker. Vehicles resolve these hits against their side armour.

2. But... he doesn't have any new options compared to taking a "normal" captain an buying the terminator armour upgrade. Also he obviously can't take a bike
>>
>>46960761

RAW Exploit. It says it counts as terminator armor for some things but doesn't say anything about taking a bike.
>>
>>46960761

>SMASHFUCKER PRIME (340pts): Cataphracti Armour, Bike with Betrayer's Bane(RAW, the Cataphracti Armour only counts as terminator armour for the purpose of transports and formations, therefore the two can go together), Gorgon's Chain, Iron Halo, Digital weapons, Thunderhammer, Lightning Claw, and Melta Bombs.
>>
>>46960786
>>46960761

Smashfucker leads an Iron Hands Gorgon Detachment for a +2 Feel No Pain, holding Gorgon's Chain for Eternal Warrior and an additional +1 Feel No Pain. He can also gain an even further +1 Feel No Pain by rolling a 3 on the Iron Hands traits table.. He then joins a command squad with an Apothecary and a few librarians rolling Sanctic to give him a 2++. To top it off, Smashfucker then takes Cataphracti Armour so he can have a Rerollable 2++ Invuln. Never before has anything ever been this fucking tough, as he needs to roll three 1s in a row just to take a wound from small-arms, and has a Rerollable 2++ for everything else. And don't forget that thanks to a silly RAW Exploit, Smashfucker can use Kataphracti Armour ON A BIKE.

All of this combines to give Smashfucker Prime the absolutely monstrous saves line of:
2++/2+++/1++++

Doesn't this also mean he can take a Jump Pack? Lol @ JP Terminators.

Either way, I said *except* for taking the Cataphractii armor - these shenanigans all come from the armor option.
Why is this dataslate not a single line saying
"A space marine captain who is not a chapter master may take Cataphractii Terminator Armour ....... 30pts"
(and maybe one more line about having the same wargear options as if he took Terminator Armour. This would have the added bonus of not allowing the Bike / Jump pack).

It's possible to do it with Space Wolves. There is an armour which in the fluff text says its Terminator, but the rules don't mention it's Terminator armour. So you can do that. Hey it's RAW, most people won't know and it's not like it's a cheap armour piece. Like 45 pts.
>>
>>46960970
It was a campaign mission so if you wanted to play it the SM player had to put up with it as the first mission. Other than the obvious bullshit like the free gunline and moving objectives one player has the basic idea was neat. I'd say just use the Asteroid Strikes, Hard Vacuum, Low Gravity, and Void War rules. Ignore the special deployment, set armies, and special objective rules and it could be fun.

Even without helmets, their eyes can see into the infrared and ultraviolet. I'm sure most marine Space Marines chapters can do it too (assuming the organ still works as intended). Shouldn't Necrons, Tyranids and Orks get it too? Necrons are superscience constructs, Orks and Tyranids are biomachines.

Really, the only one without them by default should be the Imperial Guard.

Orks should have a special rule that exempts them from Night Fighting rules altogether on the grounds that they aren't really aiming anyway, so why should it matter that they can't see?

I know you're baiting, but I've said it dozens of times. AoS isn't for grognards. It's for kids getting into the hobby. What's so fucking hard about understanding that?

/tg/ isn't the place to go to find out a mark of anything. Most people here either don't play; don't buy models; or pirate codex/buy recasts. They don't support GW much anyway, I doubt most would care if GW died tomorrow. Surprise, GW is catering to other people.
