You're all acting like children.
>>
I've been looking a while now, is there any way to turn spiritual stuff into tech the way that Fate/Extra perk turns magic into tech?
>>
So what did y'all do in God of War? I don't think any jumper, for all their faults, is a fan of the Olympians but is givine an opportunity for Athena's green ghost to take over after Olympus falls really such a good idea?
>>
>>46898114
I took the drawback that keeps Kratos from going full edgelord, and had an excellent time fighting the monsters of Greek mythology.
>>
Can I in any fate jump take Zelretch as companion without using pod ? I would love to learn from him 2nd Magic and I don't think that 10 years will be enough to learn it. If learning outside fate jump True magic is impossible how I can learn it in 10 years ? Would being demigod of Odin help ?
>>
What do you guys think is the biggest/best star ship that is available to buy in a jump?

I don't mean things that you could just take from a jump, like Mars in Invader Zim, but actual jump purchases.
>>
>>46898199
LoT you get it for free in Light of Terra jump thats 36 km long spaceship import to Commander and then you have 108 km long space ship.
>>
>>46898191
In order-
No, become his apprentice somehow then put in shittons of effort and a buttload of perks to supplement it, no idea what Odin has to do with things.
>>
>>46898199
Well, the LoT is pretty damn big, but not really a purchase, through the upgrades are.

Green Lantern's Shard is pretty big, but the 'best' really depends on how you define it. For speed probably either a Futurama ship or the Interceptor from GL again, Martian Bioship from YJ for shapeshifty stuff, and so on.
>>
>>46898199
I like the Shadow Battlecrab from Babylon 5 a lot personally, less cumberson than some stanky huge 40K ship. Sins of a Solar Empire has a veritable cavalcade of ships to choose from too.

>>46898239
Percy Jackson, someone's a fan of Odin's association with magic

>>46898176
What does Kratos do if he doesn't go full edgelord anyway?
>>
>>46898258
What else is notable about Futurama ships apart apparently being the fastest thing in the entire chain? I've never heard anyone talk about any notable capabilities they have other than speed.
>>
>>46898292
Well, they once fitted the planet express ship with a tractor beam capable of casually moving and towing suns.
>>
>>46898292
Well, they run either on Dark Matter... or Whale Oil, and move the universe around them instead of themselves through space.

Not sure what else to say about notable aspects.
>>
>>46898329
Well, >>46898328 was a good example of what I was wondering about. Goddamn, dark matter is some serious mojo, no wonder Blame! is such a dangerous setting.
>>
>>46898239
How does the Moon Cell work? Why is it capable of generating digital Arcuieds/Shikis buff enough to rip their way out of it, or a demon strong enough to threaten the planet? I tried to understand it through the wiki and I'm just even more confused.
>>
>>46898334
Dark Matter stops being useful for anything after the destruction of the dodecahedron of power. So stock up on whale oil.
>>
>>46898350
>the dodecahedron of power

What? Why? Does that mean it doesn't work after the jump with no dodecahedron or what?
>>
>>46898287
>What does Kratos do if he doesn't go full edgelord anyway?
Takes over for Ares, mostly, while the rest of the gods mostly just keep doing their own jobs.

Apparently there's some kind of plot asspull corruption that causes the gods to turn towards full on petty dickery themselves, which causes Kratos to escalate. It doesn't really end well for anyone.
If you opt out of that, everyone presumably just gets up to normal westernized Greek Gods levels of dickery instead. Which is still kindof dickish. But not nearly as much as their real life or canon counterparts. Kratos can handle that kind of dickery. Especially when it's not aimed at him. He's a big boy.
>>
>>46898347
It's a giant computer that can warp reality. We sorta know what it's made of, tonnes of crystals inside the moon, but no clue on how it warps reality. Presumably it uses technology in some fashion. Maybe. It's Nasu.

Arcueid wasn't generated, apparently she's the real deal that was somehow brought into the Moon Cell. No idea on Shiki, can barely even remember what she did in Extra aside from being a bonus boss. The demon was just using the Moon Cell's power, which is already at least planetary reality warping level.

Yeah, that's the usual reaction to the wiki.

>>46898369
>Kratos is a big boy
I dunno man, he seems like a manchild throwing a tantrum to me.
>>
>>46898369
I know about the asspull corruption pandora's box, I just find it hard to imagine Kratos playing along with it unless he was that jaded with everything after killing Ares
>>
>>46898364
Maybe? The Professor basically changed the very nature of dark matter a while back and made it useful, during the course of the story it gets changed back to it's prior uselessness.

Hence whale oil.
>>
>>46898391
I was under the impression from the wiki it was the crystals that did the reality warping, which made no sense because beyond all the flowery language it boiled down to "the crystals can refract light very, very well"

So it put the GENUINE Arcuied and Shiki in the Matrix and Arcuied was somehow able to use her moon powers despite not being anywhere near her original Gaia OKAY NO, I give up then.

Kratos isn't a manchild really, he's more like the hard drinking blue collar washout who's completely disillusioned with how his career went and is going on a shooting spree in his workplace, who occasionally fucks hookers for stress relief. He just wants it all to end by the third game.
>>
>>46898433
Really? I'd always thought that it was the crystals that acted as some sort of hardware for the computer and stored information. I mean, it makes zero sense either way as it's missing some pretty important parts from what we're told for it to work as a computer but eh.

Well, someone else took Arceuid into the mooncell, despite it all being data and mental and not an actual physical place you can take someone physically into and yeah, ignoring this little tidbit is for the best because it's just a big hole. Far as I'm aware it's not the genuine Shiki though, just a recreation.

>>46898433
Either way, he's a pretty boring, unpleasant character. His only character trait seems to be ANGRY except for that horrendous forced character development that was still barely there in the third game with Hope/Pandora/whoever the fuck it was. Like Asura if you took away everything that made him interesting and relatable and left just the rage.
>>
For Dark Souls, which would be better as a starting point to learn the soul transfer stuff Gwyn used to construct the Lordvessel and divvy up his soul between the 4 Kings/Seath, and Vendrick used to place the giants' souls in mud golems: A speciality in sorceries, or the Soul Smith perk?

Also, was the sun bleading darkness in DS3 ever explained? My best guess is Ludleth's abortive attempt to create a new timeline when Iudex failed ot link the fire in time (kinda like what happened with our threads recently, hah) kickstarted an Age of Dark too early for any proper Lords of Cinder to be kindled, resulting in the Unkindled and the former Lords being ressurected, the lands converging/mashing up and Hollows being unable to die due to a glitch in reality between light and dark, and the sun bleeding is supposed to be some kind of visual representation for its' effects.

For that matter I don't recall the sun ever being explained since it wasn't there during the dragons' age.
>>
>>46898477
Kratos is basically someone putting their Donut Steel into Greek mythology. Search your feelings, you know it to be true.
>>
>>46898477
Unfortunately I distinctly remember Shiki being teleported out to another world when you beat her bossfight, and her saying something about how she'll be allowed to leave when she's done killing 100 Servants. I dunno.

I mean, you're not wrong. I just view the symptoms less as "manchild" and more as a combination of midlife crisis and going postal after a really, really bad day of work. He had somewhat better characterisation in the first game after all, and it just kind of...trickled away over the course of the other games.
>>
>>46898513
To be fair you can say the same thing about Percy Jackson, Age of Mythology (Arkantos gains god powers, beats up an avatar of Poseidon and is granted full godhood by the end of his campaign, Kaster summons Gaia to punt Kronos back into Tartarus etc) and just about any franchise that features a protagonist who can stand as a peer to the greek gods
>>
It might be a tall order, but could someone explain to me the heck is going on in Dark Souls?

I mean, I get that first were Dragons, then the Lords of Cinder, then the fire went out, then Gwyn an heroed, then a zombie plague?, but the plots of DS2 and DS3 are totally unknown.
>Kill more bosses
>Do more rolls
>Praise the sun
>>
>>46898495
There are going to be I think 2 dlc for DS3, so those might clear up some more things.
>>
>>46898199
Royal (1st Gen) Treeship from Tenchi Muyo.
>>
>>46898537
While all of those are he authors putting their OC Mary Sues into Greek Mythology, Kratos is specifically a thirteen year old edgelord's OC. From the chain blades implanted in his flesh to his so deep backstory to his daddy issues to the way he murders every character in the setting... the only thing missing is a move that lets him teleport behind you.
>>
>>46898539
Dragons were largely killed by the lords/gods, not the lords of cinder, who are just anyone who has linked the flame, Gwyn was the first lord of cinder. Hollows are something that happens during an age of dark when the first flame weakens, in part it's a return of humanity to what they were before the first flame came into being, and what they are without a fragment of the dark soul. However the undead are also partially tied to something Gwyn set up with the kindling of the flame using humanity.
>>
>>46898539
> What is the plot of Dark Souls?
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

dare
>>
>>46898599
Well. He does have time stop/slow. So he could theoretically pull the teleport off from the enemies POV.
>>
>>46898539
First there was the Age of the Ancients. Everlasting Dragons ruled the world since its creation eons ago. There was no gods or man, but Dragons. One day Gwyn, Nito, Izalith & Pygmy ignited the first flame. This ushered in the Age of Fire, from Gwyn came the gods, Nito came the undead, Izalith the demons, Lastly Pygmy slithered off and made Man. The fire grew bright but it started to fade after awhile. That's when the dark mark appeared on humanity, causing them to become one the undead who can't die and eventually go insane or Hollow.

At end of DS1 you can choose to reignite the fire (restart the Age of Fire) or walk away (begin the Age of Darkness). In DS2 it's speculated that it takes place during a Age of Darkness. In DS3 It's revealed that there's been several ages of Fire & Darkness, they're on a cycle. Chosen undead usher in the age of darkness for awhile, while another ignites the first flame up again. Those that ignite the flame are Lords of Cinder. The souls of the chosen undead that ignite the fires tend to clump together, and in DS3 there's 4 or 5 Lords of Cinder which are multiple Chosen Undeads each. The Ashen One isn't a Chosen Undead, therefore you can break the cycle once in for all. At least until DS4.
>>
>>46898753
>One day Gwyn, Nito, Izalith & Pygmy ignited the first flame.
The flame just showed up fist, those guys just took the lord souls from the first flame.

>The Rise of the Editions

Rationally, I think this is juvenile.
But in my heart of hearts I'm happy for you anon.
>>
>>46898753
First Flame always existed. Gwyn, Nito, and Izalith obtained the Lord Souls from the First Flame whilst the Pygmy waited and then got the Dark Soul which was the foundation for humanity.

The jump is literally right there.
>>
>>46898753

Is it just me or has Dark Souls crawled up it's own ass?
I wish Fromsoft would go back to PS2 era Armored Core
>>
>>46898984
I think it's just you. I don't really find that it's wanking itself or anything, it feels fairly reasonable and consistent with previous games. It's not Supernatural tier shit just yet.
>>
>>46899020
You would have to fall pretty hard to reach Supernatural tier.
>>
>>46898114

>>
>>46898984
I feel like DS3 was with a strong undertone of YO DS2 IMA LET YOU FINISH, BUT DS1 WAS THE GREATEST GAME OF ALL TIME! OF ALL. TIME because everything Vendrick and the Bearer of the Curse became irrelevant along with plot points like Seath's survival and the giant civilisation, with only token nods to that continuity like a child of the dark (one so weak she doesn't even looks different from a human and was able to be captured) and some "drang knights" as random encounters in order to push its' own characters as the direct sequel to Lordran's plot.

Which is in itself not a bad thing; I liked DS1. The problem is, it's treading over old territory instead of taking the plot in a new direction. I'm cautiously hopeful about the DLC though, considering DS2's DLCs did wonders for making the plot more coherent-and one of them was more an expansion pack anyway.
>>
>>46899184
Which is probably why I feel it's crawling up it's own ass.

The whole time I was playing it I was like "Man, I could be doing the exact same thing in DS1 but all the while I'd be grinding Humanity for the Fair Lady."
>>
>>46899184
DS2 was by a different team.

I know. That changes nothing about my stance on the matter.

>>46899268
That's something that grinds my gears too-how reused everything feels. It was cute 1-2 games ago, but now I just get a sense of how shitty and lifeless these caricatures are in comparison of the old guard. It's like someone tried to out-DS2 DS2. Ironically this kinda fits with the game's themes on a meta level.

Liked the Fair Lady's gentle encouragement? Here's a grotesque, horrifying fleshblob that never speaks and has no characterization whatever.

Miss Priscilla? Oh look, Gwyn or maybe his son (perhaps you should find your own answers!) fucked a dragon, here's another fluffy tailfu

Both the Sunbro and dragon covenants have degenerated into mumbling at some discarded artifacts

Nito and Witch are just...gone this time. There's some generic giant skeleton dude who seems to be collapsing into the Abyss via a reality marble made of Humanity stored in a magic skull. At least the Witch's absence is used to drive home how boned demons are.

Ornstein and Gwyndolin's dessicated remains are litearlly being paraded for fanservice.

Wanted to bro it up with Solaire? Here's an interchangeable waifu/husbando who's also from Astoria

The crestfallen analogue actually has a character arc this time, and he's pretty much the only recurring character archtype to have improved.

And Patches is still Patches of course. Some things never change.
>>
>>46898539
Any ideas what I could use Master's Blood, an Impossible Theorem or Breath of the Void after Fallen London?
>>
In Supernatural, do angels, demons, and monsters not have the standard abilities of their race without buying them? (Immortality, super strength and durability, etc.) Or does buying them just further enhance them?
>>
>>46900026
Maybe? It could just be that you're a pathetic version of them.
Or not. Maybe you could assume you just get some stuff gratas.

At the very least, they wouldn't be perks. Which means they wouldn't carry over to other altforms.
And angels and demons are normally incorporeal and have to possess someone to use their powers, so I don't really know how that would interact with Final Form.
>>
>>46899414
You realize that's the entire point of DS3? It shows how despite everything has changed, it's doomed to repeat the cycle. At the point of DS3, it's been several thousand years or more since DS1, the Chosen Undead that was to rekindle the fire never showed. Which is why the Lords of Cinder left, which gave rise to the Ashen One. Anri has an actual story, she/he was one the few remaining Knights of Astroria. Along with Horus, and Horus goes Hollow. She actually is part of a secret ending, where you become Lord of Hollows and live forever with your Wife/Husband Anri. You do so by stabbing her body with your sword, as part the marriage ceremony. At this point the covenants are fighting over scrap because that's all that remains. There's even references to DS2 in parts, which indicates that DS2 could've taken place among the many cycles.
>>
Speaking of angels, how many jumps let you be an angel or get angelic powers or companions? Starting a themed chain.
>>
Hay, Could I get some help from the more video game inclined among you? How do these settings compare power/danger level wise?

DMC
Anarchy Reigns
God Hand
No More Heroes
And Darksiders

I’m going for a crazy action beat 'em up arc in my chain, ending with Bayonetta. Unfortunately, I have not played any of these games except for most of the DMC series, and have no idea what order to take these jumps in to best help me complete the arc and not end up as a red smear on the pavement. So any advice would be appreciated.
>>
>>46898495
The Inner Self perk from Demon Souls lets you imbue souls into yourself and others. nameless souls just level you up and imbuing boss souls give you some of their traits and power. If your own soul is strong enough you could theoretically split it and do the souls transfer stuff Gwyn did. As for placing souls into golems use soul smithing to make a vessel then pump it full of souls or imbue a boss soul into it maybe?

>>

>>
>>46900306
Darksiders, Evangelion, Actraiser, Bayonetta, Devil Survivor 2, Dresden Files if Soulfire Counts, and Fall From Heaven.
>>
>>46900168
sounds like it's up its own ass to me

They only DS girl I want to wed is the Fair Lady.
>>
>>46900345
There's some silly shit in No More Heroes, but I'm fairly certain everyone around is still human, so you should go there first.

God Hand there's crazy kung fu, demons, and plain superhumanity all around. Getting one of the titular hands will give you the power needed to live, but will put you on a bunch of people's shitlist. Second or third.

Anarchy Reigns... fuck if I know. The guy from MadWorld is a big guy here, but isn't Bayo also in the game? Second or third.

Darksiders is apparently a big deal in the scale of powerlevels, but I've never really heard or seen anything of it. Dunno.

DMC is crazy, as you know. Honestly, you can survive it as the first in the arc if you're willing to back down and find your own mini-resurrecting demon lord and mini-evil religious order to fight instead of trying to keep up with canon. First or last.

Yeah, I don't think they've become 'pretentious', but the game quality has dropped. Outside of a few design decisions I hated about 2, it was generally better than 3, as much as people will consider that blasphemy. 3 felt like it handled the passage of time aspect worse and was more of a copy than taking things in its own direction.

Also all the areas are really dull up until Irthyll.
>>

Welcome to post-Quicksilver Jumpchain. You can ignore pretty much any Jump's drawbacks if you fuck off to space. The only exceptions are ones which add loss conditions.

>>46901508
Thing is that's not interacting with the setting at all. Going to a jump and then completely ignoring the world is the sort of stuff that will get you yelled at. You're not jumping the setting, you're merely grabbing powers from it and then masturbating for ten years.

Not that I'm aware of, but there are perks which lets you take a single trait from something an add it to another. Multiple perks too, so you could probably do something like take traits from metal and start slamming it into cloth. There's also perks from FF14 and Skullduggery Pleasant and stuff that lets you use magic on clothes to increase their durability even more. So plenty of workarounds.

Sure, but that's something you could do back on Earth, applying more gun isn't something that requires you to go to space. I mean, if you're willing to abandon mankind to its horrible fate like that you probably don't care about causing collateral damage, so it's not like you need the emptiness of space to fight them in. The only things around in space that could be hurt are your own creations, so going into space in that scenario actually makes the drawback worse.

Most drawbacks like that generally just say that they are straight up immune to all of your powers which is basically a counter to hax jumpers who are so powerful to begin with that anything they would get from the setting is trivial compared to what they already have.

Either the drawback would be an auto lose condition for more moderate jumpers or an obstacle that, lets be honest, an almighty edgelord jumper will just insta-kill anyway no matter how it tries to scale with them.
>>
>>46902069

Well, the power range for abnormalities and minuses in Medaka Box is downright fucking crazy, it ranges from "I have great reaction speeds, my body is on auto-pilot" to "Im gonna erase colors from existence, and all of reality for that matter."

Really, while I completed the flask plan, I didnt really plan to utilize it until I reached crazy hard jumps where a strong power is needed to succeed, like the Apokolyps now drawback in Young Justice. Really, at that point, bobs your uncle in terms of what you can get as a Flask Plan power. I haven't decided on mine yet because I want to create one that isn't too overpowered but still useful.

-Weapon Absorption (Dark Cloud)
-Weapon Synthesis (Dark Cloud)
-Self-Made Shopkeeper (Recettear)

The first two technically only let you pull things out of weapons, but hey. I'm sure there's workarounds for it. 'Self-Made Shopkeeper' is the breadwinner for this one, though.

XCOM 2's 'Advanced Materials' wouldn't hurt, though.

If you're keeping it intact, the only thing I can really suggest is learning skills that you won't lose when you get downgraded. And actually learn them, don't just grab perks. You need to practice that shit so it's muscle memory, not just "I read a book about this once" memory.

You're gonna want to rely more on shooting than punching. Punching isn't really gonna be effective unless your body mod specced for strength. It's not useless, but you don't want to get up close to most of these guys.

Pick a good companion who'll protect you.

Don't load up on drawbacks.

I hope you know how to feed yourself without a bunch of infinite food pickups or the environment bending over backwards to give you bounty. You are a regular human in a universe powered by hate. Make friends and don't fuck up.
>>
>>46902568
Really? Sweet! My build is vary magic heavy, so I’ve been grabbing every magic booster that I can get my hands on. I wonder what that means for Physiomancy after adding Thousand Master, Valka and all the rest?
>>
>>46902578
Thanks for the advise. I, through my own experimentation, gave myself perfect memory, more towards Panmesia. And because I didnt get it through a perk, or robotics, I should be able to remember, and execute any technological or martial skills I've gotten throughout the journey through muscle memory and genuine research alone. I was planning on getting the Necron Tomb Spider, because while the thought of having a Tyranid is amazing, I rather have something that is more responsive to commands and attacks.

Anything that can be learned through memory in my chain should be possible by me, unless of course the jump purges anything I did to myself, but it would seem odd for that to be the case, espeically since the memory is more of an innate thing in my biology and not at all a product of perks.
>>
>>46902866
I think your biology goes back to base body mod as well.
>>
>>46902578
>this meme
Perks give you full knowledge related to the skill you buy. They don't go away even if a drawback removed the perk, unless you also take an amnesia drawback.
>>
>>46902578
Thanks for the advise, I planned on grabbing the Necron Tomb Spider since I could probably grab a tyrnaid to evolve and experiment on later in my chain. One thing I definitely should have is memory and efficiency in at least skills. This would be due to the fact I figured out a way to give myself perfect memory outside of the chains perks, but through my own experimentation. So unless the Jump removes something so deeply weaved into my brain, the memories of chains, and just straight up drops me as a bodymod self, I may be screwed for perfectly recalling skills I learned.

But it should stay with me, as its not a perk and something I gave myself though my own means.
>>
>>46902416
Spec Body Mod for superhuman abilities. You can buy the ability to run at a couple hundred Kph, hear sound too faint to be picked up by high-tech machinery, and the ability to subsist on basically anything. They'll give you a huge advantage.
>>
>>46902907

>>
>>46902779
I'd say you start getting into the field of synthetic biology (real thing, look it up, it's cool stuff). You start with just making alternate arrangements of the standard molecules that go into cells. Maybe you make a storage system for genetic information based off of polysaccharides, or something like that. Eventually you move onto entirely different organic molecules, weird long-chain polymers that don't correspond to nature. Finally you make completely inorganic cells, creatures of reactive metals and halogenic gasses. As you get more exotic with the sort of biology you can affect, you become able to encode more and more traits into the life you manipulate. At the point where you're working with inorganic cells, you're less a "biology wizard" and more a "nanomachine wizard".

I always was weirded out by this. Some perks don't even explicitly say they're always perfect. I feel those perks just kinda insert the knowledge and practice already. It's like you skipped all the work but reaped all the rewards.

But from what you're saying. Those perks that just give the training would just kinda...be retconned as if you never had them? What about perks that merely give a good foundation and you learn everything from there? Would it just remove the foundation while keeping all the stuff you learned from that?

Some perks just make stuff you make more durable or inexplicably more useful. THOSE perks would fuck you over if they where removed not the "you now have great insight into subject here".
>>
>>46902960
Fun fact that pretty much everyone either ignores or forgets: You can choose not to buy a body type in Body Mod, in which case it considers the physical capabilities you had before Body Mod to be your default. Pokemon is the only jump that you can take before taking Body Mod. It also offers physical capabilities just shy of Captain America's. So if you're not an idiot and fall for the trap of buying a body type, you can still be pretty superhuman with just your Body Mod traits.
>>
>>46903031
That's why I posted >>46902907. The way you're describing it is correct. The way the people who say they go away work is incorrect. You keep all knowledge you accumulate, whether it's because it was magically inserted into your head or because you learned it the old fashioned way.

Elementalism and Portamancy, for when you absolutely, positively need to Creed some cosmic fire elementals inside of a someone's powerplant. Also, both the ones you mentioned

>>46900709
The Beginning.

It's an analysis-based skill maintained by physical contact that allows us to degrade skills which we understand and are capable of replicating at a rate proportionate to how well we've mastered the skill, eventually reducing them into useless flailing at best, and hazardous to the wielder at worst. The opponent has to be using the skill for us to commence returning it to its'「moment of being taught」though, and without physical contact the skills restore themselves twice as quickly.

It also comes with an edgy super mode, with an aura of concentrated Murphy's Law (think less D4C and more "whoops I dropped my car keys while stepping on a lego") and one or two spontaneously generated quirky powers based on our innate capabilities and circumstances (again, less instantwin and more "if you are fighting a clown, you gain the power to create pies from nothing and shoot them out of your hands").

>>

Oh, sure. But you can still buy that. Not buying a body type just means you don't get free stuff. But you've got so much free stuff already from the Phyiscal Fitness boost that you can still afford the things you want.
>>
>>46903031
There are two ways to look at skill perks. To use computing metaphors, one way is a download and another is a flashdrive.

If you subscribe to the former, then you'd keep the knowledge when the perk drops off, since it's job is already done, but amnesia could invalidate your purchase forever. But in the latter, you haven't actually learned the material and just have jump-chain plug an auxiliary brainspace into you which holds the information. This method gets around amnesia, but falls victim to perk blocking.

As far as I know, both interpretations are fanwanked. Pick the one that makes more sense to you. Or you can have it both ways, I guess.

> Or you can have it both ways, I guess.
I mean. That's what I do.

I mean, I sortof think of it as a flash drive that copies over all the data. Data isn't lost when it's copied. So if the computer gets wiped, the drive is still there. And if the drive gets pulled, the computer still has what was copied.

I mean, granted, if I suddenly lost the ability to retain my incalculable memory and lost those perks, I'd lose a shit ton of knowledge at this point just because my brain can't possibly hold all that knowledge. It is a puny meat brain and can't really deal with the vast knowledge of the universe, let alone all the bullshit I put in there.
That's why for me, the Eidetic Memory implant is fucking mandatory for that jump. So I don't just suddenly lose everything in a seizure of brain vomit.
And then I STILL don't get all the fiats "oh it works because jumpchan says" that the various conflicting sciences rely on in worlds with different physics. I have to work in the physics of 40K.
I don't suddenly get a free pass because I know how to build a gun with my ham fingers. It's still stupid hard compared to the usual steamrolling and fucking around.

So that's a [-150CP] mandatory purchase right there.

I guess if I took an amnesia drawback AND lost the perks, I'd be right fucked. But why would I do that?
I tend to think of amnesia drawbacks as traps, personally.

But that's just me. As you say, I think it's just made up rules on both sides.
Do what you want.

I love me some tech as well, so I reccomend the following.

SupCom for the ACU, though I reccomend taking it late-chain to guarantee you can take the forged alliance scenario so that at the end of the jump you have all of the factions tech blueprints for your ACU.

Marvel cinematic jump for the Hydra Notes, allowing you to combine your tech.

Scp has perks that let you reproduce supernatural thigs purely technologicaly/scientifically,
Also SCP-914 is great so long as your careful.
Teen Titans Nerd perk tree is amazing for technopathy and cyborgs.

Worm Tinker abilities are crazy, specifically the Reverse Enginner one, constantly increasing your knowledge of mechanics and workings of other tech in order to combine them and utilize them together.

Hmm, I must admit I'm not too familiar with Symbiote at all, but considering one feat the jumpmaker claims you could be capable of is brewing "Antimatter Bombs" or other unnatural matter within your body, I would say yes, though you'll need sufficient testing.

Personally I used the Hydra machine that allows you to mix tech and "fused" the cradle (which you can get in MCU) and my ACU, and I experimented and allowed my ACU to understand how the reach scarab I bought works utilizing the Freak ray in IJI. Then have fun mass producing them, as the ACU apparently has no problem creating biology components.

Also, pick up that item duplication perk from Minecraft, its a big buy, but duplicating equipment such as ACU's is useful as all hell.

Well, 3 is peak human in body mod, and 4 is superhuman. The Pokemon perks offer peak human ability.

If anything, I'm being a bit stingy, because Strength 4 is "lift 3x your body weight easily" and that's probably around peak human. Similarly, Dexterity 4 is Mirror's Edge, which is what Freerunning gives you.
>>
>>46904425
Thanks for the advice. already did buy TMI- cheat mode, but i was told it could only duplicate 1 meter cubed or what you can fit in your hand. Otherwise i'd be duplicating my LoT and using the fusion perk from Unholy Heights.

A symbiote could probably handle synthesizing a Reach Scarab. What complicates the matter is that Scarabs run off the Bleed, which may or may not exist outside DC. Jumpchain handwaves the one you buy for CP, but you'll need to figure out a way to keep constructed ones powered.

>>46904529
Thats odd, because unless their was an update Im not aware of, the perk reads as follows

Not Enough Items, Cheat Mode (1000, requires NEI, Recipe Mode): Once per month, you can use the recipe menu to instead duplicate any single item you possess. The new item is indistinguishable from the first, and has all the same powers. The one/month limit applies even if you grant this power to a companion; only the first attempted duplication in any given month will succeed.

I just checked the drive to see if it was chaned and still reads as follows.

I dont see why you couldn't duplicate the LoT, especially since the perk is well above 1000+ to purchase it. You actually NEED drawbacks to take it.

Congratulations, you are now Megastructure huge.

This removes most meaningful interaction you could have with people. On the other hand though, you can house entire populations in your guts.

yes it could be possible - but not in the 10 years you're there due to how fucking HUGE it is, the fact that unless you take the scenario the Builders are still rampant, and not with JUST those perks.

Meaningful interactions include sexual intercourse and/or romance.

So long as I got a grasp of HOW to do it I should be good. I planned to also utilize Symbiotes, SimAnt, and IJI perks to hopefully better the process, though I do have one more question, could I become HUGE and then become, well human sized again via Final form from SAO? I plan to overlap most monstrous perks with my Kaiju form, and still go back to being a regularly sized and weighted human.
>>
>>46905226
>>46905291
I suggest a combination of shoggoth form, this is in fact my final form, prototype, savage salvage and required secondary powers on top of what you already suggested so that you grow as you eat and eat more as you grow .
>>
>>46905401
I'd assume cramming all your altmodes together would include the maximum size so-you would probably would need something else to become small again.
>>
>>46905401
You'd have to pull an Asa and use a human/oid avatar to interact with the world.
>>
>>46905416
Bancho none of those things are on the scale of the Megastructure. I'm just saying.

Also I dunno if you'd noticed but savage salvage hasn't been well liked ever since it was found out the thing has absolutely no canon basis.
>>
>>46905226
Probably not with just that. The Megastructure is huge. I don't remember the exact details, but it's big enough to have engulfed the majority of planets in the Solar System. At one point the characters find an empty space in it the size of Jupiter, and this is not at all considered to be something unusual. So it's really big. And a lot of that size is taken up by computers. Inside those computers dwell countless electronic minds. For any one mind to take dominance over the whole thing? You're going to need a lot more power than just that. So much that I think it might be better to just build your own Megastructure and fuse with that. Even with the Net Terminal Genes letting you control the system, fusing with the current Megastructure would be the equivalent of infecting yourself with cancer. Benign cancer, since you've got it under control, but you'd still be ridden with innumerable cells of corruption that could break out into a serious risk at any time.
>>
>>46905401
There's a perk in NGE that lets you collapse any giant forms you have down to human size. There's also one in Sim Ant that lets you keep your full power no matter what the scale you're at. You might want to use those.
>>
>>46905442
Don't forget there's already someone trying to take it over, and she has worms that let her hack biological material.

And she succeeded long ago in the scenario.
>>
>>46905420
>I'd assume cramming all your altmodes together would include the maximum size
No, you pick what you put into your final form including size.
>>
>>46905401
You're not getting rid of the Megastructure weight THAT easily.

But again. it's going to take decidedly more than 10 years unless you're doing this, like, at the end of a 500-chain run.

Assimilation stuff out the whazoo, nanomachines, you'd probably want to also go at it from several angles - meaning duplication perks (ones that don't kill your power across multiple bodies).

It takes Killy thousands of years to reach the top. If you want to do in ten years, you're going to need literally anything and everything at your disposal.
>>
>>46905420
Damn, and here i was thinking of the look on Darkseids face when he see's a small human in front of him twist and contort into an Uberhuge kaiju that looks like the unholy amalgum of magic, tech, and biology. I'm not saying they are, I am saying that it will give the abilities to grow as you eat, eat more as you grow, eat anything and eat in every direction at once and you've got to give me the fact that exponents are a hell of a thing, I do not believe it is possible for a jumper to do this until post spark when they can devote a couple of millennia to just chowing down, but I believe this will make it faster. And I know it's not well liked but it's part of a jump that's on the drive and it's a power that's best suited for the situation.

>I trust you had something sounder than the honor system to prevent someone from doing their keikaku anyway?
Aschente is a lovely thing. Of course, this is mostly held as a last resort, and is only used when we're both vying for places where we really, REALLY want to do our thing. Most of the time we just dick around with each other about it, as we're smart enough to know that nothing good comes out of the two of us clashing. He's the first companion I got, and is the closest thing I have to an equal in this chain, as he's essentially an eldritch dragon god at this point. Hundreds of jumps worth of experience and perks on both sides of a conflict is decidedly NOT a good thing for anyone involved.

In any case, we both have time, so it's not like we're lacking in opportunities.
>>
>>46905589

there is a single room in the megastructure the size of Jupiter, this is not a main hub at the center this is just a random room, the megastructure is sufficiently large that a room the size of Jupiter is not actually important. Pic related
>>46905678
okay I will redo that jump, I haven't really used it for much but it seemed like one of the things that would be useful in the long term.
>>
>>46905686
Your main challenge is that all the "pure" human survivors are very, very far spread out in the Megastructure

Honestly it would be a better idea to take Reload in Biomega, take some samples of the Megastructure, do more science to figure out how to alloy them and "grow" your own somewhere else than try to eat the main thing and risk a million Safeguards being summoned to gank you.

Safeguards are armed with Gravity Beam Emitters too, which are FUCK YOUR DEFENSES levels of bad news even by Jumpchain standards.
>>
>>46905630
Actually I see people shit on the MEoDP all the time, but I've never seen an explanation and I know very little about the series. What's wrong with it?
>>
>>46905768
Kill concepts.

On the level of "I kill the concept of the future, changing fate" and "I kill the concept of the world, preventing this probability-manipulating vampire from using her powers which are powered by the Earth in this particular location" to "I cure this woman by killing the concept of her organ failure" to "I can see a big shiny dot, I think it might be the conceptual weakpoint I need to stab in order to kill reality"

The latter doesn't actually ever happen but-Nasu likes to give his protags absurd, unfair power and enormous suffering in equal measure

Also the option was included in the jump for an IRL friend by the jumpmaker despite unanimous rejection of it by the thread
>>
>>46905764
Oh, right. Forgot the Safeguard.

Yeah, they'll be summoned in fucking swarms as you try to eat the Megastructure.
>>
>>46905768
They channel raw entropy through your mind to show you how to kill anything in a single hit. In theory, anyways. What people tend to forget is that it's still dependent on personal power. There are canonical examples of things that the wielders can't kill with it, because the disparity in power is just too strong. Even the dumb conceptual stuff can only be used on a very local scale. You could "kill reality", but it would be a very tiny piece of reality.
>>
>>46905758
I saw that image before and honestly thought it was a joke when I first saw that crazy tech level stuff right there, your verging on technological capitol G GOD right there.

>>46905764
Definitely gonna have to read Blame for more knowledge on the subject. Hopefully my companions stocked in worm powers and one being a peak levek kryptonian will help (holy shit sunlight isnt even a thing in Blame! Is it?)

Definitey gonna jump Biomega and utilize a heavily evolved Path to Victory to help me out in dealing with variables such as retaliations and "wil my cancer beat their cancer?" stuff
>>
To clarify-reality being killed with a stab doesn't happen, but Tohno Shiki (Tsukihime's protag) DOES see what he thinks is reality's conceptual dot towards the end of the series.

To explain the dots-they're how the eyes interpret flaws in all of existence and stabbing them correctly lets the MEoDP user kill the thing. More complex/older/more powerful things can't be instantkilled because it's harder to see their point and stab it correctly

>>46905840
Level 9: For when you absolutely, positively have to kill an Endbringer dead.
>>
>>46905768
It lets you see the lines and (eventually) points of death in objects and beings. By allowing the power to stay active, you gain a greater understanding of death, which causes severe brain damage as that shit isn't something people are made to handle and increases the size of the lines and reveals points.

The stronger something is compared to you, the smaller their lines and points are.

It's verboten because people don't want to deal with people who don't know enough about the series being stupid and ignoring its innate limitations and drawbacks.
>>
>>46905867
>kill and endbringer dead
What?... Are we talking their GBE can fuck up an endbringer or that this level 9 can actually fuck someone up with there innate abilities?
>>
>>46905808
Well why was it allowed on the drive? Was this just back when jumpchain was new and all sorts of crazy shit was allowed up?

>>46905857
Well that doesn't sound so bad.

The "channels raw entropy through your head" doesn't sound fun, either.
>>
>>46905857
To be fair the canonical examples tend to be things like "reality warping avatars of alien planets which effortlessly run on fundamentally different metaphysics than on Earth" and "the legendary heroes of old when magic could do things it no longer can, which are summoned as avatars in the Grail Wars and whose true forms are stored in a metaphysical location outside of reality"

And the things DO work on Nvrnsqr and Roa, which are conceptually hella buff
>>
>>46902207
Raw Power, Incredible Control, Extra Degree. And then I rolled Portamancy and Physiomancy.

It was like fucking christmas and all it took was a lot of panicked running, crying, and screaming. Everyone was supersoldiers or had a sudden case of passing out.

>>46902416
Make friends. Seriously. Numbers is how humans have survived anything at all in that universe. And you don't have those without friends. I only made it through because of my companions.

Don't waste anything you can avoid. Spend resources wisely. Including people. You're repairing a ship while you're doing all of this.

>>46905195
Obsidian Tower Trilogy. There was a dragon with survivor's guilt after his friends all died, so I gave him hugs and offered to, when he was ready, make a dragon race for him to help take care of. He turned it down, of course. I still talked with him and made friends, though.
>>
>>46905905
No, shit just never worked out to get it removed as both people who touched the jump weren't going to.

Thing is, the rest of the jump's fine aside from the fact that trying to make Etherlite via that crafting perk's almost impossible due to the lack of Type-Moon Ether anywhere else.
>>
>>46905899
I was mainly thinking about the GBE but now that you mention it-the thing teleports PART OF A SUN into a room to fight Killy with. Apparently it warps space just by moving too, it's been a while since I read Blame!

So. Yeah.

>>46905905
To make a long story short? Because the rest of the jump is pretty good and it's just that one option that was forced in against everyone's opinion on it.

I should clarify: Roa is a man who found a way to live forever, albeit diinishing his capabilities over time. Nvrnsqr is a man who artificially turned himself into a vampire and developed a reality marble that manifested his body into primordial chaos beasts, which could allegedly withstand attacks at full power by Arcuied. And at full power, Arcuied warps space and time.
>>
>>46905859

>>46906604
The energy isn't actually going away, Bancho. It's just leveling out so no work can be done with it. Why wasn't it pointed out at the design stage, then? Genuinely curious-was it just made at a time when the line between jump and CYOA was a lot more ambiguous? The rest of the jump seems pretty appropriate for Kantai, you'd think people would object to it.

I mean, "magical ship spirit energy" is as good an explanation for ship parts and ammo, isn't it? And even so it would make no sense for only Abyssals having it.
>>
>>46906966
I'm saying you need a temperature gradient. Highs and lows, in the proper configuration. Thermodynamics will fight you tooth and nail, so your work will never be finished without fundamentally altering physics. If jumper-you is okay with being the janitor of your chosen universe forever, the problem is academic. But that's cleaning up, not fixing.

That's why heat death has the reputation it does.
>>
>>46906698
Isn't self propagating ex nihilo energy and matter exactly how you should go about preventing heat death? The heat death is when there is no free energy in thermo dynamic system energy produced in such a way that you are able to create heat or matter should negate that. just rig a machine to make more machines until a finite upper limit within a given area of space and then produce whatever else you want in the universe and bam no heat death. Don't give this to kyuubey not because his cause isn't noble but because of spite.

No idea what to expect in this world, all I know is that I'm real and everything else is just data. Apparently the location which I had landed is considered a hub for all types of sprites from all across the Internet. You have protagonists, bosses, and mooks it would seem. They all kinda co-exist barely. Bosses and Heroes are at odds with one another, Mooks are at odds with everyone yet they're canon fodder. What a strange place, so I kept my head down.

That didn't work too well, and I was quickly found out to be a User. Which complicated my life immensely. I had suddenly lots of sprites started to bow or worship me, several of them tried to attack but I just rewrote their code to cease hostilities. I spent the next ten years just helping out the sprites.

I rarely used my User abilities because I rarely needed to. It was an odd trip, I can't say it wasn't eventful seeing we had a near apocolypse event happen within the first year. Kid Radd settled thing without my help, and I did my best to help out any Sprite that sought my help. I just hope my next jump is as eventful as this one was.

It was designed when MoeAnon was in his "I use Prototype to eat everything" stage, and he wasn't subtle with his desires. So naturally when someone pointed out Prototype doesn't let you eat certain things, he kept pointing to Savage Salvage and went "I'm the jumpmaker and I say this works".

Yeah, Hellsing while it's obvious what he wanted, he still kept things in line with canon for the most part so people didn't have as much of a problem with it. Well, people had a problem with evil souls driving you insane, but that's another kettle. Last anyone saw him he was in a gun mood and wanted to update it with a gun customization table, but then he just kind of fucked off or something.

I'm actually noticing that happens a lot with people who make high-power jumps.

Ok i will admit to not understanding physics perfectly but why when infastructure is in place to a) create energy and b) maintain a thermodynamic system sustainable by life (sensors correcting to a specific range of {temperatures/particle motion/energy emission you tell me} to allow for normal heat movement ). c) self replicates to a set finite number of said machines from energy created by the machines themselves in a finite space replacing older models as newer models are produced can heat death no be averted. This would be infastructure not reversing the heat death preventing it so massive quantities of energy would not be being added to a system with none in it. The machines should from what i can tell as not a physicist allow energy within livable tolerances to be constantly added to a system preventing heat death if the machines keep replacing themselves. What am i missing that stops this working?

Machines will produce and organize matter into environments.

Well Invader Zim has that Perpetual Energy Generator, and matter and energy are related, right?
Also, The Laws Are Mine from Van Helsing let's you make machines that can violate a single law of nature, of your choosing.

Um. Anyway, I think Symphogear, Super Robot Wars and GUNNM are good places to pick that stuff up if you don't mind a little danger

>Is there really a problem

Let me start off by saying I have always only ever criticised it on the "MUST FIT THE SETTING" scale in the spirit of honest curiosity and am aware the jump will never be changed.

But, having looked at it, it does seem a little odd it enables one to digest adamantium. I am not saying this is a gamebreaker in itself and in any case its' overshadowed by my primary reason for ever noticing it at all, but it does seem a rather disproportionately impressive feat compared to the other capstones, objectively given that adamantium is, you know, indestructible under normal circumstances. Then again the jump also says such consumption renders you "vastly more durable" rather than literally indestructible implying some kind of diminishing returns factor which I can't comment on further without devolving into conundrums of intent, hyperbole and semantics.

I conclude that its' example feat is oddly disproportionate with the rest of the jump, but agree with you that yes, possible errata by the jumpmaker aside, it is definitely not a gamebreaker unto itself.

External heat levels. Eventually you'll get to a point where it's too hot outside the habitat to keep dumping heat into it without consuming massive amounts of energy. And the more heat you pump out into space, the more energy it's going to take to keep pumping it. So you'll need to either extend your heat exchanger chain even farther, or move your habitat away from its current location. In a system with finite space that will eventually stop working. So you need either a way to directly reverse entropy, not just counter it with more energy, or you need a way to expand the universe. Both are available with Jumpchain science, though, so it's not that worrying an issue.
>>
>>46907592
Is this just a smutty online card game deal?
>>
>>46907607
I am taking energy out of the system, I'm using the portal gun from Rick and Morty to use other universes that have already undergone heat death as heatsinks

As personally appealing as being not-Merkabah (tits aside) would be, I have to admit the implications of being all the archangels' fusion would derail things even before you did anything so-I'd go with either an archangel or the Seraph idea other anon suggested. I like the Seraph idea actually.

140. Mistborn
Age:23, Origin: Skaa
Abilities: Choked by Ash, Beneath Your Notice, Aluminum Mind (-200)
Items: Atium (-400), Lerasium (-800)
Drawbacks: Inquisitive (+200), Survivor (+200)

I'm hesitant to continue on for two reasons: The anons trying to get Night Angel removed from the drive may remove a new character from my chain, and this is a world that scares me shitless. I'll deal with the retcons if and when they come. The world itself is not exactly so simple.

Anyway, Connie is six at the start of the jump, so I gave her the bead and told her it would give her superpowers if she swallowed it whole. She also has the Atium to burn when she needs it. Her half-brother dotes on her, teaching her how to read and fight and basically like one of his own kids. It's a unanimous agreement among my companions never to import her anywhere. Someone who is just always themselves is a precious commodity for us.

For the jump proper, I keep my head low and wear my mask from Ravenloft and an obscuring scarf from Jojo, with the old cloak from Thundercats as well, at least until the Lord Ruler is finished. I'm going to make a floating island city above the clouds in the meantime and start transporting people there in secret. It'll basically be a bubble city that uses a lot of biotechnological plants and animals and the kids on the Light will be able to help design it by sending in pictures of buildings and stuff. I don't know how the Inquisitors keep getting here, but they keep nearly sinking the place. We nearly crashed into the fucking capital a couple times.

Which did bring us the Lord Ruler's attention. And cooperation. He's willing to accept our aid even after seeing the scars on my arm, if it will provide a new way to suppress Ruin and fix the world. Luckily, by that point, the rebellion was well under way and he was killed about 3 months into negotiations. We passed the contract along to the next guys. And then ruin started fucking shit up and we were prime targets.

>Watchman of God

Sam Vimes angel? I love the idea

>they're all less focused than the original

Hold on so-would the other archangels still have their independant existence and be doing stuff in the plot had you gone with that idea?

Anyway, as the proponant of the Seraph I'm totally fine with this even though I thought it was going in another direction, so go for it
>>
>>46907681
You think they'd care about other races if it was Divine, like Throne or Virtue? Also, both those names sound cool. Works for the NGE Angel form too.
>>
>>46907607
OH I actually have to remove energy from the system as well so its a balancing game got it.

Regarding the gradients for clarification would adding energy in one location and not another create a gradients from high to low or does it not work in a way at all similar to chemical gradients? If so how do the gradients work?
>>
>>46907681
Which would be overall "closer to God" anyway, the Dormant Power-boosted Chosen of Raphael or the Herald race option? As in which would be higher in the angel hierarchy?
>>
>>46900168
>the Chosen Undead rekindle the fire never showed

But he did. He is the Champion guy on the true firelink shrine
>>
>>46907784
It's exactly the same, actually. The chemical gradient only exists because of a (usually very small, but still noticeable) energy gradient. The diffusion of a chemical through a medium is driven by the same processes that cause heat to disperse.
>>
>>46907876
I'm pretty sure he was the Soul of Cinder gestalt anyway
>>
>>46907767
Not particularly. You might have a position more directly related with the other Race, but you'd have about the same standing.

>>46907867
Assuming you make a point out of taking charge, Boosted Chosen of Raphael. If you just go with what's expected of you you'll likely just do what the Heralds tell you to, in which case Herald would be higher up.

Keep in mind that straying too far as the Messiah will end really badly for you.
>>
>>46908005
By the way, do Heralds die with YHVH like Satan does? I recall Gabriel was still alive, but she also seemed to be shutting down mentally and emotionally.
>>
>>46907904
OH OH just went reading some stuff i'm trying to violate physics wrong to fix this the issue. i want to violate the second law not the first one to fix this i need to bring the system out of equilibrium not replace lost energy. oooohhhh ok how with chain science to i violate the creation of entropy?
>>
>>46908069
In Strange Journey the Three Wise Men are heavily implied to be the Archangels in disguise (except Gabriel, presumably because of the SMT 2 fiasco) operating while YHVH is explicitly shattered into pieces and sealed away by the mother goddesses.

So I think Satan is just unusually attuned to YHVH as his personal superweapon since Lucifer was also weary of confronting him directly-especially since Satan shows up in SMT 4 Final as the fusion of Merkabah and Lucifer.

>>46908114
Make a contract and become a magical girl
>>
>>46908005
Hmm. I also assume the boosted Chosen of Raphael would be the more directly powerful with Fire of Sinai, while the Herald would have a more versatile arsenal of holy powers? To use another set of angels as an analogy, like comparing Zeruel and Armisael from Evangelion?
>>
>>46908149
I see, I see. ...speaking of Law's only sane woman, would it be possible to recruit her as a companion if we're aligned with Lawful Good?
>>
>>46908222
Sorry I'm not SMTanon, I'm just a guy who knows some things about the other games so I can't speak about companions imports.
>>
>>46908114
Time or probability manipulation. Time manipulation would let you turn any process into a reversible one, causing no net change in entropy. Probability manipulation would let you enact the Maxwell's Demon scenario, allowing you to separate high-entropy particles from low-entropy ones and negate entropy that way. Or any way to ignore quantum physics, Maxwell's Demon is really only impossible due to the inability to observe a particle's entropy without altering its momentum unpredictably and losing control over it. Precognition would technically work for that as well, if you knew the entropies in advance without having to scan them first. And that loops around to the idea of time manipulation letting you make processes reversible. When it comes down to it, the question of "why do we have entropy?" can be answered by "Because we exist in linear time and can't see everything at once".
>>
>>46908275
Oh! No problem anon, thanks for answering my question.
>>
>>46908210
Correct. Most of the abilities I've got in mind already aren't directly combat-based anyway, even if I do have a big scary almighty skill planned for it.
>>
>>46908114
>>46908291
As long as you have infinite energy, you should be able to use a Maxwell's Demon system that results in a net decrease in entropy. It's trivial to use magic to generate unlimited energy.

Just don't use True Magic from the Nasuverse because using time travel for that purpose explicitly effs up the future by dumping too much heat in the future or something.

...

Also I'm pretty sure you're talking about Time Compression as a solution to entropy with regards to the particle entropy observation thing. Which is...kind of like covering your house in syrup to get rid of a termite infestation. As in, a bad idea if you like having time?

The only thing in the entire chain with sufficiently precise probability manipulation you've described is from Blazblue; although I've never been sure if the Gadgeteer background lets you actually construct Artificial Causality Weapons but probably not considering the things are 800 CP that and the Observation feat (if you had the know-how to build the technology to enhance it further) and the Mage ability since Blazblue magic can mess with space and time

And then there's Discworld magic, of course-which is kind of ambiguous about the whole equivalent exchange feat. Then again what the History Monks do probably isn't applicable in universe where Time isn't a woman.

PIc related; didn't expect to use more anti-spiral pics this thread but the whole conversation about heat and entropy is giving me the blank eyes

>>46908315
Nice! One last question: How do you think Mainline SMTverse God would react to a King of Bel who served His alternate universe counterpart faithfully in the Devil Survivor jump?
>>
>>46908386
Ok so i unfortunately didn't take probability manipulation in TT where else can i find it? I want these demonic cheat machines now.
>>
>>46908386
Yes, technically, but that adds its own complications that I'm not sure he'd want to deal with. It gets into stuff like mirror matter or second-degree perpetual motion, and all that stuff is really confusing.
>>
>>46908453
TT? Well as far as I know Touhou has it as the Master Capstone.
>>
>>46908507
I have never heard of these terms please elaborate
>>
>>46908438
>>46908222
Sorry.

Well, I was already considering two Canon companion options to cover pretty much anyone who isn't YHVH or Lucifer, so what you'd have to do is actually succeed in convincing her to come along. Which is easier said than done.

>>46908452
Eh. Probably not the best, honestly. You'd probably be able to get him to stay calm and converse relatively reasonably, but that's no guarantee he won't do something rash anyway. A "vanilla" Messiah Bel would fare much worse.
>>
>>46908510
Teen titans though thinking on it jinxs power likely would help about as much as setting a cold man on fire.
>>
>>46908452
Nonsense. We're only creating a time loop in a fixed volume, outside of it time will still work normally. Or close enough to normal that you won't be able to tell the difference from within it, at least. As for precision, I was assuming that we were taking probability-manipulation powers, turning them into technology using something like Amazo Backup Memory, and then refining it with miniaturization and efficiency perks (possibly the Miniaturization and Efficiency shard, too) until it can work on that scale. Remember, we're dealing with entropy violation, here, so long as we miniaturize it in stages instead of one big leap we can attain infinite precision. Tools to build tools, and all that.
