Oh hey, I remember this.
It's really fucking bad.
There's zero emotion in it, whereas the new Alice has far too much.

To not be a complete wanker, anyone working on anything that isn't just more fetishbait or another waifu cyoa?
>tfw don't know how to make my fetishes into a cyoa
Damn...
>>
>>46876302
>whereas the new Alice has far too much.
It helps spread the legend that whoever manages to finish the Alice challenge properly in one sitting will be awarded a real life waifu.
>>
>>46876432
That's like telling people that whoever manages to survive swandiving into an active volcano will be made immortal.

no one has done it since it was first posted.
It's become nothing but bloat. Someone probably you keeping posting because >lol omg I posted it again, hehe, play it

Anyway, I really really wish this one had more emotion to it. It could've been great.
I'd have liked a tsundere option where you break her in with your dick, of course, but eh. Can't have it all.
>>
>>46876530
>no one has done it since it was first posted
Two people did that I remember. One finished it and for all we know didn't get his real life waifu (what a rip off), took him like 20 posts over two threads or some crazy shit like that, and the other got halfway into it before breaking.
>>
>>46876543
>One finished it and for all we know didn't get his real life waifu (what a rip off), took him like 20 posts over two threads or some crazy shit like that
I remember that. His Alice was a lamia who lied to him about it over an anonymous dating website. The writefaggotry was above average.
>>
>>46876530
And since I talked about it, I should probably at least do it.
I still think getting a submissive girlfriend is boring - it's the path to making her submissive that's fun.
So instead of Abandoned being "I will do anything because you're my male rolemodel", it'd instead be an out of control girl that needs a good hard dicking to calm down. That's all she wants, to have someone tell her no.

>Anxious
Of the available options, it's the only one that's even mildly appealing ("her confidence is tied to your praise")
No interest in abusing her or having her wear a fucking collar. She's not a dog.
I don't understand the "D/s sessions".
>Afterplay,
I guess
The punishments are all fucked up.
Same goes for corrections.
>Maid
What did you even try to say with Wake-up call? That she wakes up your before you?
Should've just said that.

plus, having the narrator wank while you're doing the cyoa isn't appealing in the slightest
>>
>>46876530
I want to take that cyoa and edit it: replace all the pics of cute girls with boys and replace all the female pronouns with male ones.

Is that rude?
>>
>>46875253
Are there any CYOAs where the choices aren't all benefit benefit benefit?

Is there a CYOA where you start off as a normal human, and you have 40 (or so) Disadvantage Points that you are forced to spend on making yourself shittier than average?

I'm tired of all this power fantasy. I want some "you are shit" fantasy!
>>
>>46876801
Oh boy. This is gonna be a fun thread.
>>
>>46876801
Those CYOA are terrible, and I continue to find them as such. Maybe if you benefit from taking these disadvantages..
>>
>>46876734
It is pretty rude to ruin a cyoa because it doesn't appeal to your gay fetish, yes.
>>
>>46876801
>I'm tired of all this power fantasy. I want some "you are shit" fantasy!

Anon, I'm already shit. What you're proposing is the kind of "escapism" I can find by looking in a mirror.
>>
>>46876844
A good CYOA would allow you the introspection that just might lead to you improving your lot in life. The best example is the earliest basement ones, which were ultimately about coming to understand what are the things that truly matter to you and which parts of your life you'd be willing to give up.
>>
>>46876869
No. A good cyoa lets me be a dragon and provides me with enough dragon-related fapping material to last a week in which I grow progressively more ashamed of my rampant dragon obsession.
>>
>>46876869

Not every shitty thing about a person is something that can be helped. A big one for me personally is how I've got issues with my memory, and a very strong history of Alzheimer's in my family.

Some changes to my lifestyle might help with that slightly, but the fact remains I'm probably going to forget who I am in a few decades, if I live that long.
>>
>>46876823
? I asked for a CYOA in the CYOA thread, isn't that what the thread is for?

>>46876832
But benefits are lame wish fulfilment shit.
I want disadvantages! It'll be more fun if you have to choose which thing(s) you have to sacrifice (for no benefit), and you have to sacrifice 40 points worth of things!

>>46876844
Ok.
Then we take You as the base.
And we add 40 points of disadvantages on top of that.
That way you can partake in the fantasy too!

>>46876869
Oh. well the disadvantages CYOA would do that.
>>
>>46876832
>Those CYOA are terrible, and I continue to find them as such.
Why?
If you're a roleplayer, you fucking love taking disadvantages.
If you're a minmaxer, then you can minmax the disadvantages to leave you in the "least worst" position.
Are you some kind of 3rd option? If so what's it like? I wanna see if I can play with your style, whatever it is.
>>
>>46876907
Yeah, but introspection is the kind of thing that might ultimately lead you to realizing what things about life you truly appreciate, enjoy or cherish, which could allow you to make more of them than by wasting whatever time you do have moping about and watching porn.
>>
>>46876801
You have to make one yourself.
>>
>>46876934
>If you're a minmaxer, then you can minmax the disadvantages to leave you in the "least worst" position.
Can you name one where the least bad position isn't the invocation of Rule 0?
>>
>>46876973
Huh that'll be a tricky one.
Ok, I'll get to work!
>>
>>46876994
Oh I forgot about that.

Yeah I suppose playing the DM is always the most efficient way to get max power.

I feel a bit sad now.
>>
>>46877012
I meant the Rule 0 of CYOAs, i.e. "you can always choose not to play" or something to that effect.
>>
>>46877031
Ok smartass. But optimising -within constraints- is what the minmaxers are about.
Yes I know a minmaxer can always just -say- they'll only play a game where they're a lv.9999 master of instantly win everything. And I'm sure they'd enjoy that a lot.
But it's more fun to win in a framework where winning is difficult! ... isn't it?
Maybe you're right.

Fuck it I want this so I'm gonna make it anyway. I wanna play a CYOA where you are more shit than an average human and try to optimise so you are the least shit. Even if it's irrational of me to want this.

What I liked most about this CYOA was that the girls were actually villianous. Not even in the 'Oh no, I took this 2$ candybar tehe I'm such a bad girl '-kind of way. Josie got busted for CP, for fuck's sake. That was refreshing.

What I would have liked to see is Steph talking about how she did in fact have a bf previously but they broke up due to her severe alcholism. This is seems like a more reasonable explanation for why she, a 25 year old woman, is not in a relationship or has family to rely on. Because her alcoholism is quite serious.

My greater issue with this CYOA are the ages of Shelly and mystery box. insofar as I can tell this CYOA is about roommates falling in love with the self-insert. Both of these girls, three if you count Daisy, are both extremely young and thus inherently impressionable but also seriously mentally damaged. Nymphomania isn't just being really horny, it's typically a symptom of some other mental disorder. A disorder that the girl is not treating.

The fact is, with Shelly and mystery box what is implied (sex) is beyond just criminal it's incredibly morally despicable. These girls, like I said earlier, are extremely vulnerable to predatory behavior like is being implicitly encouraged in this CYOA. I don't think we should be encouraging the abuse of underage and mentally ill girls like this. Why would any government agency responsible for child-welfare allow this?

There are CYOAs where the player is a dark god that fucking obliterates innocent peoples' immortal souls.

There are CYOAs where the goal is to find the most efficient way to trap random passerbys in your domain and drive them insane before torturing them to death, in order to sustain yourself.

Almost every single CYOA ever made has had evil options. How is this any worse? Should we stop making ones where you make cool monsters too? What about conflict itself?

Context; I'm a fag so theoretically I should like the male version of this. That's why I tried to gather some pics of cute boys and they disgusted me so freaking much. It felt really wrong to make a cyoa out of that. So I don't get it. I don't get why young girls are so popular here. Is it actually a fetish thing?

Not trolling. Just trying to better my understanding of lolis in waifu culture here on /cyoag/ Sorry if it sounds like I'm targetting this cyoa specifically.

It's an anime thing.
There's a bunch of Japanese cultural shit behind it but the relevant part to a westerner is the understanding that 2D != 3D, the viewer is assumed to be able to distinguish reality from fiction.

So this is how I imagined it to be played.
Tell me if it's intuitive/balanced.

So you start with a conduit build. I'll do a simple one. Full Prison meistery. That's 20 points.

Then I think of a product. Something believable that I'd think other people'd want to buy. I'll use the ichor, I don't know how combining it with an earth resource would do it any good so I'll sell it straight.

One normal station at my ichor harvesting plant (-2)
I imagine ichor would be a low cost product for a niche market so I look there for options.
Now I choose what I could realistically justify as being my products strengths and weaknesses. Imports I can't justify. I'm a prison meister, neither can I justify low production costs, it's described as hard to harvest. So go for:
Hipster Cred (10)
Celebrity endorsements (20)
Economical benefits (30)
No negotiation power (25)
Immorality symbol (15)

I only need to harvest, probably some pipeline or farm (-7)
This means the complexity of my product is 1, my revenue 15 and my profit 8.
I'll take the classic Rorch housing (5)
And since I didn't take sands of time life-force crystals for myself (0)
It's not much. Maybe someone with a better product can get a lot more.
>>

>>46877708
I just don't get it. It seems to me that in your minds, I'm not allowed to criticize this particular CYOA before I go back and do the same for the other ones. If I chose to praise this one for the inclusion of underaged sexual content, would I have to go back and praise all the other ones for the same reason?

Why can't I criticize this particular CYOA for one thing it chose to include without veering off into another discussion entirely?
>>
>>46875721
annie...

how is this even a choice?
>>
>>46877730
It shows the fallibility of your argument because applying it consistently would destroy 70% of the CYOA's out there.
The use of examples is, like, the number one rhetorical technique and if you are sincere about your lack of understanding I invite you to lurk more until you become more familiar with the english language.

>>
>>46877758
Why can't I take issue with the inclusion of underaged sex? Why can't I isolate my criticism of this to this CYOA or others that contain this content. I don't need to expand my critiquing to fucking giant monsters because they have nothing to do with this conversation. Holy shit. You can criticize a CYOA for having one particular element and not care about the others. That's a thing people are allowed to do.

>The use of examples is, like, the number one rhetorical technique

You mean like examples of other CYOAs that include underaged sex?
>>
>>46877730
Because the fact that something doesn't conform to your personal taste is not a valid criticism. You're taking exception to what is essentially a game of pretend because it allows you to do something that is against the law in your particular country.
What is the actual problem with it?
>>
>>46877621
>And? Why can't I criticize this one? What makes it above criticism?

Well nothing really, but you heavily implied it shouldn't even be allowed to be made with

>I don't think we should be encouraging the abuse of underage and mentally ill girls like this.

A normal person, if he runs into a childfag flapping his gums on the internet who just won't shut the fuck up about how he's a poor oppressed sexual minority, who acts either so out of nowhere or so exceptional, even on a chan, that he has to respond, would have just mocked him, his points, and called him a fucking idiot who should kill himself. What you were proposing, instead of just saying that this shit is creepy and weird (which even I'll admit is a moot point regardless, lolishit is so thoroughly ingrained in this stuff now there's really nothing to do besides ignore it and wait for good shit you've never seen before to be reposted,) was the idea that there should be some kind of community guideline against it, and I really hope I don't have to explain why that's a dangerous fucking road to go down.

>Why does it need to be worse for me to be able to criticize it?

So you're admitting you wanna get rid of evil themed CYOA too.

>I don't understand what you're trying to say here. What does this have to do with me disliking the fact that I take issue with having sex with underage girls?

>me disliking the fact that I take issue with having sex with underage girls

Hoooooooly SHIT that's a Freudian slip if I've ever heard one.

>What about it?

Well, some people might say conflict shouldn't be a thing in settings either; after all, we've created a society that hates conflict and wants to get as far away from it as possible, so having problems might not be good encouragement for that.

And then that balloons and escalates until people go "fuck it," CYOA no longer have points because decision making is too stressful, and they become even more of a glorified excuse to read Anon's bad fantasy novel.
>>
>>46877730
It's more like criticizing a CYOA on ethical grounds is fucking retarded as most have serious moral implications.

Criticizing something for structure or balance is fair enough as the thing you're talking about could be deficient in some way. Criticizing something because it's morally dodgy in a hive of moral dodginess is a total waste of your time and perhaps this just isn't the place for you.

The actual problem with promoting sex with minors ? Because unlike summoning fucking giant monsters to rip apart kindergarteners, you can do it in real-life. There's nothing good about promoting the idea that taking advantage of fifteen year old girls is ok.

>So you're admitting you wanna get rid of evil themed CYOA too.

...? How does one follow from the other..?

>Well, some people might say conflict shouldn't be a thing in settings either; after all, we've created a society that hates conflict and wants to get as far away from it as possible, so having problems might not be good encouragement for that.

Conflict is a primary aspect of story-telling and life that isn't really possible to get rid of, unless you mean violent conflict only. Adults having sex with minors isn't.
>>
>>46877874
Right, you can do it in real life, so portraying it in a a work of fiction carries the risk of making people do it.
Get the hell out of here and don't come back.
>>
>>46877867
>There's nothing good about promoting the idea that taking advantage of fifteen year old girls is ok.
The age of consent in most European countries is 14 or 15, in Spain it's 13. Just because something is against the law in some places doesn't mean it should be cleansed from all media. The CYOA is not "promoting" having sex with the 15-year-old any more than it is "promoting" sex with any of the others.
You seem to have a weird hang-up about this one thing that makes absolutely no sense.

Consider the following:

Someone who doesn't believe rape is much of an issue in society chooses to take in new information by reading accounts from rape victims about their rapes and how it affected them. Spent a lot of time thinking about these things and seriously considered his/er previous position. Regardless of what conclusion he/she finally reached s/he'd be a different for the experience.

What CYOAs and others like it do is normalize certain ideas. I'm not saying there's a time and place for debate here but the idea that consuming fiction or nonfiction does not affect the mind is simply..inane.

>>46877922

>Someone who doesn't believe rape is much of an issue in society chooses to take in new information by reading accounts from rape victims about their rapes and how it affected them. Spent a lot of time thinking about these things and seriously considered his/er previous position. Regardless of what conclusion he/she finally reached s/he'd be a different for the experience.

Nobody here is saying that actual, real world child molestation isn't fucked up.

>What CYOAs and others like it do is normalize certain ideas. I'm not saying there's a time and place for debate here but the idea that consuming fiction or nonfiction does not affect the mind is simply..inane.

Bullshit, fiction doesn't exist to serve political ideologies. CYOAs exist as a form of entertainment. It's fun. It's a method of escapism. It's purely fantasy. And at the end of the day, that's all it ever will be.

>No, what I meant by the question was that you seemed to be saying that I needed to criticize god-zilla murdering millions before I could criticize this CYOA. I said what I said because I found that line of thinking strange.

Mass murder is objectively worse than rape.

>I'm taking issue with the normalization of the idea that having sex with underaged girls while you're an adult is ok. That is the crux of my argument. It is not ok and it not be normalized.

No shit, child molestation shouldn't be legalized or considered normal. What an amazing revelation. Which is why nobody here has supported that, and just don't like the idea of being told what they can't include in a genre that relies on unbridled creativity to even exist in the first place.

>It was a typo, both of us know that. Argue in good faith or not at all.

I dunno man, who're you trying to prove this to, exactly?

I'd also like to add that, since you want to stop kids from being raped, there are tons of organizations you can join to stop that shit from happening in the real world, and not just in shitty erotica on 4chan.

Dropped like a brick covered in something gross and unidentifiable.
Domestic violence is a genderless problem, in fact the majority of domestic abuse is same-sex. If the writers of this "article" were aiming for anything other than toting their political agenda, they wouldn't have opened it by twisting the stated subject in such a horriblly jarring way.

Still reading that "study" of yours. It's hilariously terrible.
Apparently the fact that some cultures have a negative view of women is relevant to their points about media being able to normalize domestic violence. As are quirks of the russian language. I mean, really?

Facilities
Leftover treasure (will be sacrificed to fill the dungeon heart with power)

Perks
Indestructible wall
Piece of heart (an organic heart placed beneath the crystal heart, eventually the plan is to make it a magic supply for the real heart, also to get aesthetics one day) -1

The idea is to make a trap and strategy based dungeon with all kind of annoying mechanism that will take extensive knowledge and wit to get past. The Imps are on permanent maintenance and riddle variation duty in which they change the details of how to get past each floor every once in a while based on my specifications and their own input. I mean it really depends, doesn't it? The hacking especially. Of course cutting her off from the internet is pretty severe but what exactly did she break into? If she broke into a bank and deleted, say, the records then she is a danger. She could also have copied some seriously important info and sold it on the black market. That's not ok either. It really depends on the crimes committed.

That said, I'm not sure Irene's punishment makes complete sense. Why not just bar her from all positions where she'd need to be trusted. Or if you must limit her wealth, then give her a small allowance and not allow her to accumulate more.

Does choosing a disadvantage that provides with two benefits allow you to take bonus from every collumn, or are you limited by your choice of princess.

I guess so, but unless she committed treason, that's not the kind of crime which gets you a life sentence. Neither are larceny, embezzlement, or improper conduct. Hell, the only girl who would get a life sentence doesn't have any restrictions, although at least that's because they can't prove it. Although the fact that they can sentence her to this program when she's found not guilty is creepy as fuck too...

Anyway, I think this CYOA would be a lot less disturbing and more interesting if their conditions required you to have oversight. E.g. Jimmy and Sammy had to be accompanied by you at all times, Shelly could only use the Internet when you were monitoring her, and any bank account under Irene's control had to be joint with you, and you were required to monitor them. Or the conditions were up for review after a few years pending good behavior. As it is, the program is self-contradictory, because it's based on the premise that love can redeem and rehabilitate, but none of these women can do anything to rehabilitate themselves because they've been locked out of society.

Silk is shit for bondage. It slips over itself really easily, and it can easily tighten over itself as the submissive moves and make it nearly impossible for the dominant to untie them, start to cut off circulation, or both.

As for the CYOA, though...

The vast majority of fantasy settings are based pretty extensively around it. From the fantasy races to the vaguely menacing evil overlord who's totally going to doom the world any day now, guise to the dungeon crawl... 1. Can we just stay in the dream world permanently? I see no reason to want to keep my waking life if the alternative is so, so much better.

Not sure what I'm going to do next, got some ideas for a few things so decided to straw poll it to see what the interest is in any of them:

http://www.strawpoll.me/10035851

Main concerns at the minute is that art is more difficult to find for Werewolves and Goblins than it was for Vampire King. Guess Goblins isn't that hard really.

May also just decide to just do one regardless of interest shown but I figure it's worth seeing what's what.
>>
>>46879217
Not that anon, but I'm pretty sure any CYOA that has PvP and doesn't explicitly give you a method of avoiding it pretty much forces people to build for PvP rather than whatever they'd enjoy the most.
>>
>>46879197
1. I guess you'd have to find a way to stay there. Perhaps I should add something like in Dream Princess where if you die you can stay in the dream realm permanently.

2. The Dreamrealm may have other kingdoms if you wish and in some instances, is expected. It's all up to how you want to dream it really.
>>
>>46879217

>Choose 7 benefits from only the light and neutral columns.
>Choose two more benefits.
It isn't clear if the restriction covers more than the original 7 benefits.

I'm not a native english speaker, though.

While I'm at it:
How do "Superior Princess" stacks with the choices that require mobility ? For example "On Your Best Behaviour"; can the rituals be realised anywhere or do you have to come back to your kingdom constantly?
Are the races really supposed to combine ? I can be a Fae Drow Vampire on her way to simultaneous angel- and demon-hood.
Do the changes in "Not-So-Royal Behavious" affect the princess, the kingdom or the entire dream world?
For the "Rival Stepsister", by "she can never gotten rid of", is it meant in day-to-day life, or are any attempts to emprison / exile her fated to fail? Asking because it's a recurrent element in fairy tales.
I'm wondering how you can capture a princess if you can't invade a kingdom (since only parts of them are in the "misty realm". How is the captured pricess' father suposed to free her? Send adventurers or a champion? Or is raiding with an army allowed?

I've spent yesterday afternoon proofreading a homebrew for a friend, so I'm particularly nitpicky today.

Harry Potter doesn't actually have all that much of an extended universe. What it does have is a metric fuckton of fanfiction. Harry Potter was the fandom that practically invented modern fanfiction. It existed as a concept beforethen but not in the same shape, and not nearly to the same degree.

Since they don't explicitly state that the additional choices aren't restricted in a similar manner, it should be safe to assume that the additional options follow the same logic as the original ones, (i.e. they're restricted by your princess type).

Shitposty thread about autism and wank fests.

Also, no single optimal build? Every PVP CYOA has those. Look at Monster Hunter and the overdrive warriors.
>>
>>46879217
Issues with PVP usually lie in the people your potentially stuck with. While it isn't a perfect comparison the 'Bartle Test of Gamer Psychology' explains it best. Way to many people sitting around just for murder.

Take the Culling from Monster Hunter. Sure, on its own it could work, but given the fact your stuck in here with min-maxers and a guy who could turn the conflict into the battle of the Somme, it takes away from everyone who isn't there to murder.

Artifex was actually a bit more balanced granting incentives to the 'achievers' and 'explorers' but there was still a huge incentive for the killers that drives others away.

You CAN make a PvP cyoa. But it needs balance.

It'd be more like pick from a bunch of special mortals to get a one or two more queens.

Really only have vague notions about all this. Goblins is going to be more about trying to unite disparate groups, the Vampire Child page would have a recently defrosted cavewoman as one of the options and in Fairies the character explaining the options is probably going to be a magic talking dog-thing.

Maybe something that gives you more time - doesn't slow it down, per se, but things work on a "dream time" basis so you'll be doing things for what feels like an hour but only five minutes have passed. Maybe some sort of object that protects you from dangerous terrain, letting you survive in the Arctic or a volcano or the depths of space? Actually you're just basic, like I suspected.
Since there aren't any "kingdom builder" sort of CYOAs around here, I'll go pick something else. >>46766129 it is.

Average, 14 years old. +1 MAG.
Gravity. +4 MAG
Mystic, Enhanced+1 MAG
Elaborate, Accumulator.+1 MAG
Teleportation.(+1 MAG)
Perks: Gifted(+1 MAG), Blood Magic(+1 MAG), Purification Artifact(+1 MAG), Incognito(+1 MAG), Mana Channel(+1 MAG)

A random gimmick build that still ends up being powergamey as fuck. I use my giant magical reserves to avoid attacks, accumulator for bonus mana regen, and Gravity still gives me tons of physical damage spells.
Are there other builds out here? Yes. Does that mean I'm using a bad build? Not really.

Now go lie for your own benefit elsewhere.

It basically relies on time not working the way it actually works, but instead working on dream principles. It doesn't speed you up or slow the world down - someone looking at you wouldn't notice any differences - but nevertheless, whenever you check the clocks, only a fraction of the time that should have passed has passed. You could either do it as an adjustable version, or a "dramatic" time so you'll always arrive just when you need to, your parties will always last until you're tired of them, and so on.

It's not about making some high-concept thematic world, it's about quickly grabbing a bunch of jpegs that trigger the reptilian part of your brain.
Yeah it'll turn into fetish shit, but it'll be your fetish and you're unique.
I just grabbed two images and I'm going to say the connecting theme is mild femdom so the world would be largely the same as the Rim except you build a society with reversed gender roles that you can upgrade the women with monstergirl powers in.

If I update this, I'll make more options, and there will be more punishments without requirements (or with laxer/easier requirements). I don't think I can fix those kinds of problems without adding more options.

Made a note about the rope, thanks.

>>46878959
my plan when maybe coming back to this was to double the number of Session options and relax prereqs. What you suggest (combined with dropping the number of points by 1, maybe) sounds like a good quick-fix, but I don't want to niggle around with slightly different versions.

Eventually I'll probably feel like going back and fixing up old CYOA, but for now I just try to take the lessons when I move on to the next one.

Why would you want to? They're the enemies you're meant to defeat. Even if those three virtues don't have any specific rules against it, the other virtues probably wouldn't take too kindly to it. And Diligence is somebody you do NOT want to piss off.

Especially since the virtues were designed to sub-optimal on their own. They need eachother to realize their true potential (charity with diligence, who can hold back as he beats him up to strengthen him without killing him; kindness' powers work by being with the other virtues, not the sins; and with humility's physical abilities, it'd be pretty hard to get close enough to the sins to deify them without dying)

It's the counterpart to Quiet Anon's Deadly Sins CYOA where you get to live a life of eternal inadequacy and flaws as an avatar of sin eternally seeking power in your sphere and fighting the other sins to the death.

somebody made a sin cyoa:
>>46880319
Where you become the champion of one of the seven deadly sins purely to wreak havoc upon the world. I love holy stuff and felt that a virtue counterpart would be interesting and fun to make. You are at risk of hell and brimstone just as much as any non-champion, and the restrictions have multiple reasons:
>balance
some of the virtues have ridiculously overpowered abilities (you have no idea how secret-op chastity is), so they're given heavy restrictions to counter that
>mirroring the other cyoa
the sins have their own restrictions, even if they're a lot less harsh
>You're supposed to be the chosen one (of seven)
You are wielding the power of the heavens. You shouldn't be a douche when you're repping the good side.

If you're afraid of muh restrictions, go easy mode kindness. Then you just have to be with the other virtues. Of course, you won't be that special yourself (pretty much nothing you do affects yourself, and any gear you spawn would generally be better on another virtue). Or if you want to be the one doing everything, become diligence, become goku. You can do stuff while exercising if you want: read while doing pushups, play some DS while you run around the city block, etc. Once the world is no longer at stake, THEN you can fuck around
>>

I was curious. Though now I wonder, what if one of the Sins wanted to aid the Virtues. I mean, such an alliance would give the Virtues an edge. It may be difficult for a Sin to keep there power in check, but it isn't impossible. Further more, Kindness's Wish ability can be used to benefit both parties should the Sin wish it.
For example, let's say Wrath wanted to help the Virtues, yet his need for destruction to keep up his powers would be a major problem. This could easily be solved with Wish ("I wish a lack of destruction would no longer denature my powers or send me to hell"). Patience's Calm ability could keep the Wrath's anger in check, preventing any accidental outbursts.
As for what the other Virtues would think, I will admit, you have a point.
>>
>>46880480
Sorry. Why, though?
>>
>>46880440
Look up the Aristotelian Virtues.
>>
>>46880492
>I wish lack of destruction wouldn't decrease my powers
Wouldn't that be a decent motivator to get Wratch to assist the Virtues? Make some "If you kill a Virtue, you lose the boon" addition to the wish and boom, he no longer has to cause destruction, and working against the Virtues would fuck him over.

You could theoretically give the Sins things that they can act out their impulses on without causing harm. For example, Patience could make Wrath things that they could destroy, or Gluttony things they can eat. Diligence could probably enter a consensual relationship with Lust as the one person who can keep up with her. And so on.
>>
>>46880476
Why not? A battle between the Heavens and Hell is the perfect time for all the smaller deities or other creepy crawlies to make their mark. Third dog gets the bone and all that shit.

Lust can only gain charges by doing disgusting shit after a certain point, and only unlocks her full power by doing something so foul even someone who engages in underage shit rape orgies is disgusted. So there's nothing at all you can do to help Lust, nobody can help them. They're not Pride or Envy where they might be able to find some level of functionality and balance, they're screwed in all definitions of the word.
>>
>>46880429
That goes back to the origin of the seven deadly sins, wherein it was the fact that you have these thoughts of pride and lust and such means you're going to hell. It was bullshit, but when you're becoming a motherfucking angel, yeah, you shouldn't be thinking about that stuff. Chastity has the highest risk-reward. If they're both at full power, a 1v1 between chastity and any given sin would go like this:
>chastity points at the sin, firing her laser
>ten seconds pass
>the sin no longer exists
>>
>>46880598
A seven deadly sin/seven heavenly virtues CYOA is based on Christianity. Christianity doesn't recognize other gods. Only Ancient Judaism (not modern) recognized other gods, and they had no concept of the 7/7 thing.
>>
>>46880588
Says who. Before the 7 Virtues cyoa was made, there was no reason to assume Heavenly interference in the Sins' game. Now there is. Same can be done again.
>>
>>46880622
Modern Christianity is an exaggerated meme religion, and Tetra is a war god.
>>
>>46880295
I'm more interested in the technopathy, lightning control, and flight, to be honest. Not every world needs minions.
>>
>>46880605

>>
>>46880631

>>
>>46880631
Also, who are you referring to with 'Tetra'? That's not a name I'm familiar with in regards to the theorized Semitic Polytheistic precursor to Yahweh.
>>
>>46880612
>MY cyoa's power ALWAYS beats YOUR cyoa's power

Fuck you. You don't just get to decide Charity can easily beat any other Sin when at full power.

Unless Quiet accepts your cyoa's insertion that is, and your blatant powertripping.
>>
>>46880635
Yeah, I guess the fact that the stupid things get perks allocated to them is sort of unfortunate.
I mean it's not that all worlds should have equally great minions but I can see how two types of living crystals that aren't even that useful get 2 perks for controlling them is sort of bullshit.
>>
>>46880565
That is a good idea, but one problem: Gluttony will, as part of his weaknesses, slowly go mad. There is no directly stated way to stop it, and should he try to resist indulging in the madness, he will lose his powers. Not to mention his Ravenous Hunger power will cause any non Deified mortal to start attacking others out of hunger. While it is true this could be solved with Wish, it seems like something that will take three or four wishes, meaning either Gluttony doesn't get his weaknesses removed, or other people would have to give up their wishes to help him. It is this reason that, throughout all of the threads I have seen with this cyoa, Gluttony has not only not been chosen, but also explicitly stated to be one of the worst options available. Perhaps we could get some kind of rework, but that would require the Original Creator's approval.
>>
>>46880683
What's with this autistic outburst? The author just said that virtues are meant to be high risk, high reward, while the sins are much easier to gain power as.
>>
>>46880678
The idea is that Yahweh, before he had his own religion, used to be the war god of a pantheon, and went by the name of "Tetragrammaton" or something like that. Then he told his worshippers to turn against their brothers while he turned against his, and he won, before declaring that he wasn't doing this whole polytheism shit anymore and all you other gods can get fucked.
>>
>>46880717
Ah, I see. Yeah, I'm familiar with the concept, the Tetra name just confused me. I was thinking brown pirates and colorful fish.
>>
>>46880684
They could use some kind of buff, frankly.
>>
>>46880627
but that requires someone to make it, and we already know you won't, so your point is moot.
>>
>>46880707
It is also stated that the Virtues have to cooperate to beat the Sins so would you kindly not turn Chastity into a juggernaut. Same for Diligence. They're not that strong, that is if you want to keep the whole thing balanced.
>>
>>46880683
It says in the cyoa that Chastity's final power is caustic to evil, Especially the Sin Champions. Thus making it the greatest weapon against them and >>46880612 correct. Maybe it takes more than ten seconds, but it is still effective.
>>
>>46880767
Chastity's thing is only being worthwhile if they remain ridiculously pure even for a virtue, so it only makes sense that they're the most powerful.

You're not Quiet, so you kinda come across as a fanboy, hope you know. Very defensive.

There actually is a part to the seven sins cyoa which mentioned the virtues, and it came out before this.
>>
>>46880818
That's a start, but some more explanation as to how good the computer functionality is would help too.
>>
>>46880782
Because it is incredibly annoying. Quiet made a good cyoa about the 7 Sins fighting it out between eachother. Then poof, someone makes a cyoa adding a second superpower to the setting, letting them all team up and giving them awesome abilities. Their goal is also to beat up the Sins.

That really sucks. Not only was I forced into a deathly game between Sins, halfway in Heaven suddenly shitposts their own rules and players into it to fuck me up even worse.

Least you can do is make the Virtues weak enough to keep it balanced OR allow the Sins to group up.
>>
>>46880864
You do realize you can just ignore it, right fanboy?
>>
>>46880864
Nothing is preventing the Sins from grouping together, and Pride reaches his ultimate power when the other six view him as a leader, which requires some form of cooperation.

I dunno, the second page seems to suggest it's worth working together, or at least pretending to. Since you get awesome plague powers, mutant servants, oh yeah, and god came down to smite both teams. >>
Is the Slut Life CYOA appropriate for /tg/ or would I have to go to something like /d/ for that stuff?
>>
>>46880969
That depends entirely on what kind of CYOA you want to make it.
It could be something as simple as 'choose in what way/ what kind of girls you turn in submissives with your magic dick' or it could give you character profiles to choose from and special fucking conditions for each target
>>
>>46880905
That is an interesting idea, though I think a third side was always there. Pride's ultimate power can only be unlocked when the six other Sin Champions see him as a leader, and there is no guarantee the other Sins would follow him. Greed and Sloth would be the most likely to follow him, for money and no work respectively. Envy probably has the most reason not to follow Pride; Pride's Dominion power grants increased skills to his followers, with the more important ones gaining better skills. If Envy were to follow Pride, he will probably not be allowed to steal the skills from Pride's generals and financial advisers. Alone Envy could possibly steal these traits from them, and still maintain complete autonomy.

If Envy follows Pride, Pride gets to be a god. Pride, however, isn't immortal. He lives for 666 years and then appoints a successor to take the mantle after him. So, if Envy agrees to work with Pride, he can steal Pride's godhood right before he dies. Pride, being dead, profits nothing from it, and the new Pride would have to the other Sins over again anyway. That was my plan anyway.
>>
>>46880995

Yep. The worst part is that Envy is pretty much the opposing concept of Pride, as an idea. The one without wants what the other has. But Envy is very weak to Pride, which sucks. >>46881182
Envy depends a lot on the environment, I guess. If you take it the most direct way and say you can rip off normal humans, it kinda sucks, but if there are people out there who are exceptional by means of their talents, sort of comic book style, it's pretty great. Also, you can create any object you want, as long as it's not well beyond the bounds of human ability. Like, if you ever read Ranma 1/2, or Triangle Heart, it's a pretty legit skill. But if it's just that fifteen people were randomly imbued with power, it's mediocre.
>>
>>46881405
There is no shame in taking core ideas from existing cyoas and incorporating into your own cyoa.

Just make it. What will really determine the quality of your cyoa is the writing. Images and formatting only matters to a certain extent.

>>46881517

>>
>>46881405
How about having it so the strength of your powers is dependant on your initial slave count, with the reasoning being that you have that much more experience in using the powers at your disposal, so having no slaves at the start would make acquiring any potentially quite difficult (since all you've done is think of ways to use your powers, rather than actually use them to see what works)?

And if you want to avoid "all slaves, no powers beyond basic", you could make it so some powers simply don't work as well (or at all) on some people.
>>
>>46881182
Envy might be the weakest, but he does have some benefits. While one of the rituals Sloth can learn takes away the powers of any chosen, for Envy that would only take away his Theft and Mimicry abilities, not necessarily what he had already stolen or copied. Envy also has one of the easier requirements for his powers to not denature; just don't take part in private competitions.

In a pinch, you can still nuke people, and it's pretty hard to identify you when you can put on a new face every day.
>>
>>46881562
The problem with that, is that it makes you a huge target while you're also the one least capable of defending yourself.

>>46881563
Calling a nuke strike is a lot harder than you think, you'd have to imitate multiple people all at once.
>>
>>46881500
I'm not talking about "shame". I'm talking about how boring it is to steal parts from other CYOAs.
It'd just end up being 90% like another. No fun.
>>46881534
The best I could do is cap your power after the CYOA, so you can get a shitload of slaves without any power, or get powerful as fuck but have no initial slaves.
The only thing stopping people from doing the latter is the fact they'll have no imagine their own perfect waifus, something anon hates to do.
Seriously, if an option is just "you get your perfect waifu", it isn't nearly as attractive to him as writing her.

Yours could work, but again, it's just a matter of time before you get more power - so there's very little reason in not taking more, rather than slaves.
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I JUST WANT MY FETISH
>>
>>46881274
Here's a setting. An angry goddess from a monstergirl universe contacts you. She is so fucking done with her twin brother who created monstergirls in a fetishy spur of the moment. Those monstergirls are now running rampant. That's why the angry goddess contacted you: to fight fire with fire. You get turned into a monsterboy of your design and your job is to make as much hormone fueled monstergirls sexually submit to you as possible. Then they'll finally stop wrecking shit and their world can be rebuild.

Companions would be previously domesticated monstergirls who can provide inside intel and information; and other monsterboys who you could (double)team up with to tackle some of the bigger monstergirls/monstergirl nests.

How's that?

You can just make one, with Mimicry, can't you?

>visitors of the hotel have interesting knowledge of the supernatural to share
While Sloth is the only one with direct access to magic from his powers, that does suggest that it is there to be had.
>>
>>46881607
How about just making a normal cyoa with your fetishes subtly inserted in?
>>
>>46881391
Except sunless sea minions were already living skeletons and the metallic aspect is gained with the conduits powers. Not metallic skeletons gaining life with conduit powers.
The void has something like that though.
>>
New one: >>46881680
>>
>>46881665
How about you create a normal CYOA were your fetishes are secretly canon but you don't tell anyone so there's no way of knowing?
>>
>>46881589
I see your point; Envy does call a lot of attention to himself. That being said, the powers you get are pretty good, for what it's worth. Theft and Mimicry allows for any skill and attribute to be gained, so long as a human could obtain it naturally. Mimicry allowing you to copy objects could also help with the combat situation a little bit; just get a gun and a filled clip, and constantly copy the clip whenever you need it. The copies will fade at a lower power, but you only need bullets for a few seconds anyway.
>>
>>46881656
Those are both good points. Sloth's supernatural thing is too vague to know how accessible the supernatural is or it's nature (though it implies great old ones), but Mimicry has no limitations on the size or strength of an object, only a time limit (which is meaningless for a bomb)

>monsterboy
Human or bust, I have no interest in making a fursona. It's also unnatural for monstergirls to enjoy anything but pure human dick.
>>
>>46881720
A gun isn't very valuable, especially with you as a single person. Pretty much all the supernaturally powered sins will laugh it off, and nothing saves you from being fired back at.
>>
>>46881618
>previously domesticated monstergirls
>other monsterboys
Take your cuckolding CYOA somewhere else.
>>
>>46881713
Just trying help bro.

No need for this passive aggression.
>>
>>46881618
Okay, but what if she just wants you to help her clean it up? She doesn't want his weird fetish shit, so if you just burned it all down, boom, clean slate.
>>
>>46880908
Well I saw a Matt Dixon picture somewhere, had a look to see what the rest was like.

Noticed at that point that there were a few pictures of busty vampires and this was shortly after the angel/demon roommate things had come out so I figured I'd do a CYOA in a roughly similar vein.

In short found the art before I'd decided to do the CYOA. Then I pretty much google imaged everything else, most of the stuff in there isn't from Matt Dixon and doesn't exactly match, just has to be close enough really.
>>
>>46881763
I understand your point. Maybe Envy is better at stealth and avoiding combat all together, rather than direct combat.
At any rate, I think I am going to choose Gluttony; I have a plan, but I don't think I have enough time on this thread to explain it. Shall we continue on the next thread?
>>
>>46881665
how?
Because I'm all ears.
>>
>>46881746
>fursona

No. Not a fursona. It's just easier to immerse myself as a monsterboy when it comes to fucking monstergirls. You'd need unrealistic amounts of physical power as a human to dominate or probably even satisfy a monstergirl. But as a monsterboy it can hardly be called unrealistic, just nature. So yeah, slap some wings on my back and some feathers on my ass or something and I can totally see myself "hunting" for bunnygirls.

Maybe I'm just weird like that?
>>
>>46881768
>he doesn't want to go out adventuring with his monsterbros to slay a bigass dragongirl

Dude. Not cool.
>>
>>46881618

>>

>>
>>46881871
You're not weird some folks just classify a monster boys as furrys but monster girls not as furrys for some odd reason even though the genitals are the only difference.
>>
>>46881982
He's pretty weird for being unable to picture himself banging monstergirls unless he becomes inhuman.
>>
>>46881912
but you won't actually make a cyoa, so your opinion doesn't matter terribly.
>>
>>46881618
Sounds good to me. Any thought as to options? I like the idea of a dragonguy, but a golem might be a good one for the idea of banging these ladies into submission.
>>
>>46881974
>anon thinks a girl that has slept with other guys is grotesque
>but anon thinks that I'd he sleeps with other girls it's normal and okay
>anon is hypocritical
>>
>>46881935
You don't know what a furry is, all you know is that hating furries is a meme.
>>
>>46881982
It's very simple really, most males are straight and tolerate or even encourage lesbianism to a certain extent.

Straight guys consider monsterboys too gay and lump it under furry hate bandwagon so that particular fetish isn't endorsed.
>>
>>46882022
>Anon thinks monstergirls are held to the same standards as humans.

shit
Please tell this to all the transsexuals, they'd love to know this.

Screw fighting, I'll just make my dungeon an indestuctible cube sunk deep into the ground and have golems be gardeners and doorkeepers.

The Meddlers can be taken care of by a fake ghost to unmask and a (possessed) golem or five can sweep the Feral Keeper.

After that, I'll just feed my Heart with grown plants and animals, (and likely mana from the organic Heart), and posess stuff and go on the Internet for fun.
>>
>>46882046
If you're so insecure in your masculinity you can't imagine someone being devoted to you unless they had literally no other options, that's on you. Don't lump the rest of us into your insecurities, though.
>>
>>46882046
Honestly, I'd just want to go around fucking monstergirls with my monsterbros. Then ultimately settle down with that one monstergirl I could barely defeat and instead ended up having pure lewd with halfway through our battle.

Like a doubleamazon thing. The weak monstergirls are for fucking and sharing with bros, and the strong monstergirl that is more of an equal is worthy of waifuing.

Does my monsterwaifu care that I go around submitting weaker monstergirls. Nope. She knows she's the only one who managed to submit my heart... while the others are just sentient cocksleeves, really.
>>
>>46882075
That reference you just made doesn't even make sense, the point he was making is that the two different genders of monster folk were being categorized in two entirely opposite groups, one accepted and the other hated despite the only difference being their gender. That has nothing to do with transsexuals.
>>
>>46881956
Okay but brace yourself for a wall of text.

As I said before, Gluttony is both my choice and one of the most universally hated choices. This is primarily due to the reduction of sanity, turning the chosen into a mad animal with only hunger on the mind. I will indulge in the madness at first, yet still attempt to keep some of my sanity. I will also grow my powers as fast as possible, to better combat any who wish to kill me. after around 8-10 years (or earlier, should I be at risk of losing lucidity) I will search for and devour the one creature that offers me any salvation.
Envy.
With the powers of Theft, I no longer have to worry about losing my sanity; I could just steal the sanity from other mortals. Sure it will only be at 1/8 of the original power, so it will either take longer or not steal as much, but it is better than the alternative. Afterwards, I will aim to eat either Pride or Sloth, as both could easily kill me (Sloth can turn off my powers, as well as God knows what else, and Pride can strip from me my free will). Upon eating Sloth, well that is where things get interesting.
Sloth's Resurgence power allows for respawning, which does bring up several questions; will he respawn after I had consumed him? will I respawn as well and if so, how will the 1/8 power affect me? Can I consume him multiple times for increased effect? whatever the case, there is now a chance for me too respawn should one of the other chosen seek to kill me.
Should I be able to respawn, and indeed make it into Hotel Acedia, then I will head strait to the Secret Room (assuming I can) and study the sacred texts until I find the ability to cancel the powers of other chosen. I will use this on Sloth and therefore remove a major threat to my power (after a few experiments, of course; wouldn't want to miss the opportunity for increased power). There is more, but I will post it another time.

Thoughts?

Not bait, just pointing out how pathetic it is that you need to buy pre-broken monstergirls instead of breaking your own. It's honestly very sad that you can't handle other men being capable of breaking their own in.

Compound Arousal is definitely my fetish, but unfortunately it has WAY too much feedback with the other options, enough that I would completely cripple myself after changing a few people. Pleasure brought about by one or more of your spells counts as caused by you, so if you were to use Lust Vision PLUS for example any time that person gave in it would pass to you. Use it on a number of people and you are pretty much continuous, if I wanted that I would just use Lust Vision ULTRA on myself.

I was originally thinking that Succubus ruined the fun of any magical shapeshifting, but for some reason the author decided to make those irreversible anyway, so I really only get to play with that on others. If I'm going to be a permanent succubus though I might as well take Pocket Size so that I can escape notice. I'm pretty much removed from society anyway, I probably have a BETTER chance of "normal" interactions with the reduced size.

Sexy Recharge is really, really easy with Lust Vision ULTRA as long as I don't run completely out of power beforehand. Forcing orgasms via magic is enough to recharge me on its own, I could just cast that and enchant the person with stamina and endlessly recharge myself

So anyway I plan to generally inflict monster transformations and nymphomania on people, along with maybe the occasional unwanted (and unending) orgasm. I'll probably get pretty carried away with it all DESU, I don't really have a goal here im just fucking with people at this point.

Youth is attractive, innocence is purity, and any age post-puberty should be instinctively arousing because biology. Anything against that is based purely on society.

Then again, that's about the same reason I find anything remotely M/M to be so horribly disgusting, so I can't claim to be entirely above societies influence here.
