Previously, you started a small tribe of subterranean slimes, who ventured into the world for the first time. However, when a small group of humans explored your cave, disaster struck as they threw a spear at your core, killing you. Your people were enraged, and tried to kill the humans; Yet with the last of your energy, you called them off, and the humans escaped. Now, 30 years later, much is different.

While you were gone, your loyal advisor, an orange blob named Foppy, took the throne, and issued your people to greatness. The first Slime city of Dripour was constructed in the deepest depths of your cave, impressing many different slime tribes to unite under your banner. Now, the whole rainbow of slime races has united. Your people have adopted the religion of The Great Slinker, and discovered a way to mold Slime Residue into a resistant material, used for armor and weapons.

Now, the special day has come. Your three offspring sit side by side, waiting in front of thousands of slimes, humanoid and blob alike, waiting to see which one of them shall be crowned.

Purple-More Magically Capable
Blue- Royal
Yellow- Faster and Quieter
Pink- Transmute their bodies to heal other slimes

Humans, terrified of living so close to monsters, moved far back, and turned from a small tribe into a large kingdom. Slimes actually have very little influence over the outside world. They've been busy
with taking control of the underground.

Slime religion of the Great Slinker is the belief that one day, all life in the universe will be an omnicient single lifeform, The Great Slinker

The royal crown bearer walks up to the front of the palace, where your three children sit. Quiggy is literally bouncing in his seat with excitement. Yet your two daughters glance at each other. Its no lie that yhe entite city loves Quiggy, but the oversized blob could never make it as a king. A lord, yes, but no king. The real competition was between Deltara and Hydaraa. The crown bearer stopped... Gel Lord Oj, the orange slime who wields that poor womans arm, picks up the crown and placed it atop the head of... Hydaraa. The entire crowd watching erupts into cheer. She stands up and bows, as does Oj.

A week after the crowning, after dozens of speeches, celebrations, and public addresses,You, Hydaraa are officially the Slime Queen, sitting on the Mold Throne. The advisor, Foppy II stands at your side, as does Deltara, being made the Military General.

"Now then, your majesty. What is your first order of business? Our Kingdom itself is relatively secure and prodperous, but perhaps I recommend we grow our borders to the surface."

You give some of the kingdoms funding to research for both Magical infusement and metal working. Magical Infusement will allow slimes to be fused with Magic, though it is a very controversial field as slimes that aren't purple, if exposed to magic, become deformed monstrosities if they are given excesses.

Metalwork allows better tools, as well as favor with the Church of the Great Slinker, since metal will replace discarded slime residue.

After one month, both sciences are researched, and the population grows alarmingly. The subterrain will limely become overpopulated within two months.

You grant Deltara control of the expedition. She smiles and says "Thats my little sister" before walking away.

The day comes when the expedition party, 3,000 civilians and 600 guards, leave. The streets of Dripour are flooded with onlookers that wish to fare the adventurers well. About 50 of the civilians are just little squishes.

The Expedition reaches the surface, and look out on the plains below. The Elven Village has grown into a large city. The forest still stands, though it is smaller and more withered. To the east is a river, which would require a boat to cross. There IS a bridge, though one end of it is inside the Elven cities walls.

To the west is a desert; A little more open, but the extreme heat would likely cause your slimes to shrink down.

To the North a large cliff could be climbed, easily by slimes, and it could provide a terrain advantage, though carrying a trade route may be difficult.

Your slimes start working on taking apart and researching the machines. Another major field is Magic Communication orbs, which will allow long distance communication with Dilita, the first Slime city to be built on the surface. After one month of trial and error, they create two fully functional Communion Orbs, one for Dripuor, and one for Dilita. The problem now would be taking it to Dilita, as the Summer Season is approaching, where hot days becoming more often will cause slimes to be exhausted more easily.

Work on the machines continues, though any breakthroughs are likely to come in a few months. In the meantime, a team of adventurers sets out to the unterrain. Very little is actually known about it, except that it is filled with your deformed slidge counterparts. If not any artifacts are uncovered, perhaps the dark cabe will atleast be better understood. Oj has volunteered to lead the adventurers.

You handpick a royal messenger blob to deliver the orb. He sticks it in his body, mounts his trusty slime blob, and bounces away with a crowd cheering him on.

On the other side of the city, the adventuring party ventures into the unterrain.

A workforce begins constructing a road, leading from the city to the next one. Completion estimated to be within three months.

Two weeks later, and the scientists have turned the two machines into rideable suits. If more research is put into it, you could possibly boost production by giving the limbless blobs a means of labor.
On the other hand, a travelling Homunculus Merchant has taken interest, and proposes a trade of great wealth for the two prototypes

You politely decline the Homunculus Merchant. He sighs, and leaves.

One week passes, and you receive two letters addressed to you, one covered in slime and another one scrubbed down.
Letter #1:
"Dearest Sister.
It would appear that you are trusting my city to it's own devices, as we have not received any word from the capital in quite some time, much less instructions for the next phase in colonization. Is everything alright?
~Your Sister, Deltara"

Many words between the words colonization and Is appear to have been written, yet have been furiously crossed out.

Letter #2:
"Whatever thing leads the ooze beasts,
I have noticed quite some movement of your, what I am assuming you would prefer called, people. First, a massive horde passes through my kingdom's border, and then two couriers attempt to pass through as well. Both have been captured, and I am requesting that you not pass through my territory anymore. Failure to comply shall result in the conquest of your city in the darkness.
~King Illyiad"

This is troubling news. With the Elves forbidding
passage between Dripour and Dilita, Dilita shall surely crumble, and the subterrain may be overcrowded again.

Is this decision format too much of a clusterfuck?

One decision from each letter. if something has two letters with a / between them, then you can only pick one or the other. Like if you were to attack the elves, then it'd be almost impossible to negotiate with them, so I put in a a/b for both attack actions. If it has a & between the two letters, then it counts as both decisions..
If I'm making these too complex, just lemme know.

You agree to meet King Illyiad in person, and send him a letter. You then ask for a double to serve your place. No blue slimes exist other than you, or your siblings, but the Elves have never seen you, so how would they notice if another slime were used in your place?
The Slime chosen is a purple humanoid named Resida, who is a priestess of the Great Slinker. You go over with her what You intend her to say, and after a week, she has her part down. You recieve a response letter from the Elven King

"Very well. It better be good. I expect you to arrive with no greater than 5 guards, and with a tribute that shall be worth my while.
~King Illyiad"

You give Resida a red glowing rock, that has created powerful blades in the past, and wave her off.

Three days later and no signs of her or her guards returning. You do, however, spot a slightly burned yellow blob hopping towards your castle with a letter stuck inside of it. Pulling it out, you open it and read.

"Foolish abominations
Your queen has been captured.
For her continued safety, we demand a monthly tithe count of your rarest gels for our use. Do not make me do something regrettable.

What do we need to do to become this beautiful?
>>
Rage boils in your form, and you order your court that there is to be an attack on the Elven City by nightfall. They are to train infantry, War-Slimes, and place catapults into position. Your entire court seems disturbed at your sudden flash of anger, yet they yield to your plans.

By nightfall, the entire army creeps out into the field. The first to move are the explosive blobs. They sneak into the villages against the walls of the city, hiding in bushes, cracks, and barrels. Once the entire village against the wall facing your cave are crawling with hidden slimes, the captain's mouth practically explodes with an extremely loud gurgle, which your entire army continues until all the civilians are outside, gathering in one spot, looking towards the giant looming cave entrance they'd known for years, yet never truly took the mind to care for. Now, they looked in fearful uncertainty.

And then...

>BLOOSH!
All of the explosive blobs explode, splattering their sticky residue all over the village.
Dozens of buildings and civilians are completely encased, incapable of moving. Their muffled screams go unheard against your army's loud gurgling as they charge, Slime knights first as they bound across the field on their featureless blob mounts. By the time the city has been alerted, the surrounding peasants have been slaughtered, and hundreds of Slime humanoids have breached their walls.

By midnight, the King Illyiad is presented to you, his entire body beneath his neck has been trapped. Resida is also safely being escorted back to the cave by two elite slime guards. King Illyiad looks a death glare at you, though you can tell his entire body is filled with fear.
"You monsters! This is exactly what my people were afraid of! But you won't kill us. My kind is too proud to let die! Even as we speak, my people flee to safety!"

You nod to the slime blob holding Illyiad. Instantly, it starts to fizzle, eating Illyiad alive. He screams in pain. Bubbles fill up in the slime as it digests. By the time the bubbles clear, everything beneath his body is naught but bone. He is dead.

Your forces spread out and capture any survivors they catch, bringing them to Dripour and dropping them into the Dungeon. Now that the Elven City has been razed, you can access the east without the need for boats.

The next day, a celebration is held, in which the entire city is overjoyed. After the celebration, you have an array of options. Scientists have finally discovered a way to make Primitive Mechsuits for blobs, allowing them to become contributing members of society. They have also in the process discovered Clockworks and Engines.

Your workers continue building the road, and within two months, Dilita and Dripour will be connected. Your sister congratulates you on your victory via Communication stone.

Your adventurers return, with less forces than they started with. They said they mapped out a majority of it, and they did discover a few ancient cities.
What now, great leader?

You round up all the slaves, and stand on a podium, and announce that they are now your slaves. Being a reknown diplomat, you yourself can speak Slimeish, Common, and Ancient Elvish. The crowd instantly bursts into argument amongst themselves, but you softly hush them for 5 minutes until they become silent once again. You also tell that that they can earn their freedom, if they comply with settling the abandoned cities in the unterrain. A majority of the crowd seems alright with that.

In two weeks, you have prepared another
Expedition party, with many slaves packed into carts, given work loincloths made of molded slime. The expedition party sets off. You still have half of the elf slaves left, rotting in jail cells. How will you use them?
>Grant them 2nd class Citizenship
>Have them fortify their own city
>Use them for experiments
>Give them to the Church of the Great Slinker
>Sell them to citizens to improve wealth
>Force them to explore east or west
>>

Are they in cells cause they were troublemakers, or did we just throw all the slaves in cells till we found a use for them?

If they haven't be bad.
>Grant them 2nd class Citizenship

>>
>>46805253
Yup. We be playing no games and keep a presence should help.

Hopefully seeing the slaves and slimes working together will keep on lookers for thinking to poorly of us.
>>
>>46805176
>Grant them second class citizenship

They probably won't be happy underground, though.
>>
>>46805253
Supporting but they must work harder and be loyal to us.
>>
Those left behind are given second clash citizenship, following a program that gets them started on their feet. The program lasts a whopping 3 years. By then, 3 underground cities have been fully upped and running. As each city was claimed, your exploration forces dwindled and dwindled. A 4th city had been attempted to be settled, but it ended in disaster. All of yoir forces had been devoured by Sludges. Nobody knows what happened to the 4th exploration's elves.

Back home, the elves have had sone trouble fitting in. They were generally looked down upon, and many couldn't handle all the fucking slime. Still, they do well, though some try to flee the city and return home.

You hear a scream. You rush to a hallway, where multiple members of your court are in a circle. You move them asside, and look down on a messy orange pile.

Oh Great Slinker...

Foppy was dead...

And sticking in the ground, coated with his juice....

Was an elven dagger.

"This is outrageous! One of those damned elves has broken into our palace!" Shouts a green slime lord.
He turns to you
"Your majesty, something must be done! You could be next!"

It feels like we get punished for every diplomacy act we take.
Be nice? Someone dies.
Try to talk to someone? Get captured.
But no matter! Regardless of how others exploit and refuse our kindness, we shall always be the better slimes! We will defend ourselves when needed, but we will never resort to senseless and unnecessary violence!
May there be peace between us all, for in the end we all become one with the Great Slinker!
>>
>>46806064

Some slime could be trying to remove the elves for all we know. We need to something other than a knife to prove it.

>Let your guards find Foppy's killer
>>
(Pic of Hydaraa. Best I could find)
You let your guards take care of the matter, while you attend to other business. Foppy shall be mourned.

Two weeks later, your scouts from the surface send word that a group of human settlers is passing through the plains, investigating the Elven cities ruins. They spot knights within the group, almost enough to form a strong regiment. You notice the settlers head into the Elven city, and begin to fortify it. Should this group of humans turn out hostile, it could be bad to have a fortification so close to home.
>Avoid Contact with the humans
>Greet the humans
>Attack the humans

(Once again, I'm gonna head off to bed. See you all in the morning)
>>
>>46807140
Greet the humans. We've been far too long without friends. Wave a flag or something at a distance, though, so we don't startle them. Our alien appearance seems to be our largest weakness in diplomacy.
>>
>>46807140
>Greet the humans
Bring food, gifts, women but be firm that land is ours. They can live in it if they follow our laws.
>>

>>46807140
>Greet the humans
Inform them politely that this is our land, and while they may travel freely, and possibly establish settlement therein, we ask they obey our laws, nor settle this city.

>>46807256
Food and gifts are fine, but not people. We don't treat our people, that includes the Elves, as property to be bought, sold, traded, nor given. We're good slimes.

And I don't know why you nigs wanted to take underground cities when we could've taken the Elven city, which controlled a bridge.
>>
>>46807340
Too late now.
Is it slime lovefest time?
To grow back our numbers, of course.
>>
Should we bring a trusted Elf, assuming we have any, with us? Perhaps they won't be so quick to straight up stab us if they see someone normal.
>>
>>46807459
Hmm, seem like a good idea. Let's bring an eager young elf that doesn't really remember the war.
>>
>>46807140
>>Greet the humans
Don't go into uncanny valley but try to be more "Human" when we show up with something.
>>
Keep this thread alive boys.
>>
...
>>
>>46807140
>Greet the humans
While they aren't fortified. Being hostile won't be a good option for them.
And if they ask about the elves, we can inform them that there was a small dispute about stepping on their lawn to communicate between our cities, so we tried to settle it while getting to know our new neighbors and negotiate some deals, but then the elf king decided it was a good idea to hold our leader hostage for no good reason, and we reacted appropriately. This should serve as adequate warning.

As for Foppy's killer, look among the slimes as well. It's pretty suspicious that the knife would have simply been left behind. Plus I'm not even sure their where signs of a struggle, he could've been taken by surprise. And if there's slime that doesn't seem to come from the initial crowd that surrounded his body. Or if they blended in, whoever discovered the body should be questioned.
>>
>>46807140
>>Greet the humans
Let's make sure NOT to bring the one with the severed arm with us.
>>
You introduce yourself to the humans. They appear a bit alarmed, but one of their soldiers rides up to you. He says that he is the captain of that party, and that weeks ago, elf refugees showed up at their border and told them their city was demolished by "Gelatenious Abominations". He then looks you up and down, and asks if you would happen to know anything.
>Yes

Yes, give it to em straight. They attempted to kidnap our queen and hold her hostage, so we fucked em up.
>>
>>46811157
Yes, but that was after they tried to hold our queen hostage when she went to negotiate about our couriers traveling through their land. This was deemed unacceptable.
>>
>>46811157
Yes, give them full story: that when we tried initiating diplomatic relations, they took our ambassador hostage and demanded tithe and slaves.

>>
>>46814274
They wouldn't have bought 'orcs' anyways.
Confirm that there are gelatenous creatures in the area, and they point the finger to orcs that the elves made no mention of? Super suspicious.

You tell the human captain what happened. How the Elves tried to subjugate you, and how their destruction was a mere act of justice. He looks at you for a moment, and nods, before returning to the fortified ruins.
That night, you see a horseback courier heading back the way they came.

A week later, the courier returns, and heads into the ruins.

Over the past couple days, multiple groups of your people approach you and ask for funding for different projects that could revolutionize your empire.

>Fund the Grand Breeding pool. For years, your kingdom has used breeding pools, in which pits are filled with regular water, which is then turned to slime. Squishes(Baby Slimes) then crawl out of it and are adopted by parents. It has served as an alternate to splitting. Now, slimes from the College of Residology are requesting funds to build a massive breeding pool, which contains the traits and DNA of every slime alive. (This option will make your kingdom Science focused)

>Fund Mechanics Research. The two prototype machines were reversed engineered, which allowed Mechanics and Engineering to be unlocked. Now, artisans across the city are requesting funds to research applications of this amazing technology(This option will make your kingdom Tech focused)

>Fund Magic Studies. Magic is difficult for slimes. By giving a cash wad to the Mage College, they could become more advanced and discover alternative uses of harnessing magic. (This option will make your kingdom Magic focused.)

You grant funding to the College of Residology, and start building their slime pit. The other two representatives are a bit disappointed, but accept your decision.

Within 2 years the slime pit is cinished, and a sample of every slimes DNA is poured into a mixture that is poured into the pool. Hundreds of workers cheer as it is complete. In the next many years, your empire's change will come into effect. For now, with the elves under your banner, and humans at peace, an age free of strife, war, and betrayal has dawned.
