Last thread for the week today, figure we can reach a large number of autists on a lazy sunday.
What's new (its only day 4 of server launch):
- Capture Points Working Now, Capture resource points to earn daily stacks of the corresponding material (Stone from a quarry, etc) this is in addition to what you can mine personally.
-2/5 gods working flawlessy, (its hard to program a god's divine brain in minecraft command blocks)
-Commonlands gaining a considerable hold on capture points. Should be some buildage happening soon with all those sweet block stacks.
Goddamit you bastard I can't afford to get sucked back into minecraft now I have exams... but this does sound pretty fun

Just come check it out! Right now a few people are warring over a red sandstone quarry :D

Where do the blocks from capture points appear? Is there a chest somewhere near the point?
>>46730774
In the center of each point, there is a chest with a sign on it. The sign contains info on the point, who owns it, how much faction power an attempted capture costs. Once your factions owns it, it fills the chest each day at sundown with a fixed amount of items, the items build up each day until emptied or the chest becomes full, at which point it notifies your faction in chat.
I tried to design each capture point interestingly enough that if you need to duel other factions at the point as is appropriate for an area to fight over, there is unique terrain to have said deathmatch on.
Here's a Granite Quarry

So if we can't break blocks until we claim land everyone is basically forced to hunt for food? Or is a good bit of food given at spawn?
I'm curious because I personally would want to explore and find a cozy place to set up but I don't want to starve 16 times to do that.

I have something set up to give people Saturation (magical food effect) from spawn, so you should be good for a while, the commonlanders are nice folk though, so they can help you if you need more.

Join the "Commonlands" faction and be a peasant for your first 2 hours while you gather armor and food. It's a good start while you look for a place to settle.
dungeoneering!
Adramelekh, would you update the Tutorial 2nd door to reflect the changes that 2 members are needed to found a faction? The door still reads 3 are required.
