Hey there. I'm making a Kill Team Heralds of Ruin army for my first time getting into 40k. I decided to give back a bit to /tg/ and I'm painting and fluffing them as the Hua Yuan Exterminators that /tg/ created. Painting is going well and I've built most the models. The only problem is there are no regiment rules for them. Anyone wanna help me work on them?
The first thing I thought we should do is think of the regiment bonus. I was hoping we could capture the uniqueness of the reigments but I wasn't sure which way to go. To start I'll post a few examples.
Cadian Shock Troopers (free) Located at the edge of the Eye of Terror, Cadia forms the first line of defence against Chaos incursions. Models in a Cadian Shock Trooper team gain the Hatred (Chaos Space Marines) special rule. In addition, you may take 'Whiteshield Squads' which use the same rules as Conscript Squads but gain +1 to both BS and Leadership at an additional 5 pts cost for the entire Squad.
Death Korps of Krieg (2 pts per model) Indoctrinated from birth in the martial traditions of the Korps, all Death Korps soldiers are experts with the bayonet and are die hard warriors. All Death Korps models gain +1 WS and the Stubborn special rule.
The only thing we have to go off of is the Only War Statblock. I'll drop it here for future reference.

When taken in near overdose levels (5 doses) drains color from the user's vision and reveals Tyranid and genestealer warp signatures. Gives the user an overwhelming desire to kill any seen Tyranids, and must pass a -40 willpower to retreat from combat with Tyranids. Each Tyranid killed in melee by the user while affected grants +5 permanently for willpower tests against Tyranid psykers to a max of +30.

Doth mine eyes betray me?
You caught me right as I was heading to bed, I'll see what I can't do tomorrow. Hopefully I can get some ideas churning while I try to fall asleep

Well hopefully the thread doesn't get pruned before then. I think the best way we can go with the Regiment bonus is something along these lines.
Hua Yuan Exterminators (1pts per model)
Hua Yuan Exterminators are experts of disorientating and flashy surgical attacks. Years of fighting the Tyranid using unique array of lights, noise, smoke and biological warfare have granted each unit a free smoke grenade and a unit of Tyranid Dust Stimulants.
Gonna throw up a little To Do list.

and this is for the tabletop rules and not the roleplaying roles for only war and such?
Yes, this is for the wargame. Technically we're working on it for Kill Team Heralds of Ruin which is Warhammer 40k using a small point list and running it as a skirmish level game, but it can be used in large point armies as well.

Frag grenades? disorients enemies and negates cover?
Blight grenades? Disorients and frightens enemies so they don't get the bonus attack on a charge?
