That filename doesn't make sense.
>>46443650
The idea is to juxtapose common advice in dnd with a pic that contradicts it.
The image depicts Dante (on right), who just disarmed the grim reaper of his own scythe, using said scythe to kill the grim reaper.
>>46443794
The idea is more to make a joke with the picture and have the filename be a punchline, or have a reference to traditional games in the title with a picture that doesn't make sense until you think about it for a second. The picture shown is of a dude with a scythe stabbing something. I've played the game and didn't even recognize that moment.

I'd go with an old-school idea of inheritance. It's a "mixing of the essences", and that's mysterious and vague enough to work however the author wants it to.
Besides, if race is supposed to be mendelian, you run into problems with monsters that are combinations of three or more other animals.

Then you've got the bunch of loonies who think the Earth is young cuz muh Buybull. For some reason I want to say that's nearly half the US population, but the logical part of my brain is threatening to secede if I believe that.See what I did there?

"the same stock" is not a meaningless phrase you can throw in for keks. It means that they're from the same community and are more or less blood related.
>One in four people think the Sun orbits the Earth
All motion is relative anyway, so it's pretty much the same shit anyway.
>>46472586
being from the south most people down here aren't stupid enough to believe the earth is flat. They're more likely to think jesus was a real historical figure. Primarily speaking America's flat earthers are a product of the protestant extremists who are contrarian fuckheads mostly. Say what you want about the Catholic Church but they've had the good sense to call the bible useful allegory and caution against taking it too literally and accept that evolution is a more sensible explanation for our origins than genesis. On top of that I know more than a few catholics who will use Evolution as proof of intelligent design with Evolution being a system god set in place.
People are complex.

Technically, orbits are in pairs. So the earth doesn't really orbit the sun or vice versa. They orbit around a common barycenter.
This point is, of course, located very very close to the center of the sun, so claiming it's relative, while technically correct, is misleading. For all intents and purposes, the earth orbits the sun. Astronomers tend to say exoplanets orbit their star, so the expression is valid from a scientific point of view.
>>46472750
>They're more likely to think jesus was a real historical figure.
Last I checked, historians were saying that, all religious mumbo jumbo aside, Jesus did indeed exist.
He certainly did inspire a lot of stories, not all of them as flatteringly (and badly) edited as the ones in the Bible.
>>46473277
There's actually not much solid historical evidence and he did a lot of stuff that other prophets of the time did. It's possible that jesus was actually more than one person who's stories were mashed together

Anti-vaxxers are not as crazy as you might think.
When they passed the Affordable Care Act, there were clauses that protected pharmaceutical companies from reprisal from side effects of their drugs, in an effort to encourage them to lessen pressure on insurance companies to block people with preexisting conditions from gaining coverage. this essentially made big pharma untouchable in the states, so they started to buy cheaper core chemicals from international groups, specifically pre-combined packs of children's vaccines. Since the american government essentially took away the threat of legal action from big pharma, they have no incentive to maintain quality control, and unsafe vaccinations are still at large. If you want to know more, check the case of an Italian american family that had to go to an Italian court as US courts could not prosecute the pharmaceutical company that purchased and distributed dangerous vaccines across the US. Combine that with a public image campaign to make any anti-vaxxers look like conspiracy theorists and you may understand things a bit better.
>>46474195

Without his divinity Jesus is still the guy that started the entirety of Christianity so he has some historical importance.
As a counterexample, is Joan of Arc no longer a historical figure because her claims to divine guidance and some of the stories around her (like recognising the king out of a random crowd) are unlikely at best?
>>46475113
Jesus didn't start it though, the guys who wrote the Bible did, and they came something like fifty years after Jebus died. He himself didn't do it. Admittedly I have no studied Joan of Arc, but I'm pretty sure she has more verified historical records than Jebus does.
