Anthropomorphic birds will always be weird to me. How do you emote beak of keratin? I've seen emotive birds, but only when they were animesque or otherwise cartoonish. Also, how do you smoke without lips?

Holy kek! Saving this for in case I ever bring back my alcohol soaked pyromaniac dwarf I built for lulz. I don't even really remember his class but I think it was fighter or something equally basic. Animals in general can emote in a lot of ways, despite most not having recognizable facial expressions. Tilting the head, opening the mouth wide, in the case of dogs or cats folding back the ears. You'd be surprised the range of emotions you can express without smiling or frowning or suchlike.
