As long as it doesn't step on anyone's actual trademarks, they can'ty really do much about it. There' were supplements from the 70s & 80s that did this.

Very solid system, great for doing Baen style military sci-fi with tons of detail, but a bit oldschool by today's standards.

Meaning that it's designed to be used with whatever models you like, and adapted to whatever setting or style of game you want.

I've seen it used as a skirmish game, and even as a fantasy wargame with magic and ranked units.
