Would you play a fat knight?
Yeah, don't see the problem with playing one. Could see stamina being a problem, and i'm saying that as a fat guy myself, but if we're talking fantasy? Humans are generally capable of doing more epic shit that IRL can't do. It's not that big a problem (figuratively speaking).
Put me in a suit of armor and Id more or less play it like the guy in your pic; shield and a blunt weapon. with a (relatively) static/defensive style. Maybe a well timed bull rush or two when the opponent compromises his footing.
>>46277145
I'd play a Falstaff character, old, drunk and bumbling but surprisingly capable.
>>46277145
+2 CON
>>46277145
No, I'd play a fat merchant.
>>46277586
More like -2 CON. Fat people have less, not more stamina.
Well, yes.
>>46277621
Unless it's in bed.
>>46277621
>doesn't realize you can be fat and /fit/
>doesn't realize layers of fat legit make you harder to kill
Sorry skinnyfag, it's +2 CON. We're about realism here, not memes.
Depending on if you mean strongfat or just fat;
+1 STR
+2 CON
-2 DEX
+1 STR simply because being hit, grappled, or bowled over by such a big guy (4u) is going to have a lot more mass and force behind it than otherwise.
>>46277145
Yes. Slowly.

Fatfags can be fit, but they can't be healthy; sorry senpai.
>>46277145
I played a Friar Tuck inspired cleric who worshiped Kord one time. By far my favorate character of all time.
>>46278481
Sounds fun. Story teim?
>>46278392
>>46278358
Whilst I don't think fatness optimises a human for combat, you should leave your basements and do some actual reading on the topic, for your own benefits as I'm assuming you're both obese and have internalised fat hate. BMI does not correlate with any known health difficulties, but exacerbates certain conditions such as diabetes.
Best round Knight common through.
>>46283606
There is literally nothing of value in your comment and aspire to your level of retardation.
No, i self insert.
>>46277621
>what are powerlifters
No. 99% of fat people are fat due to their weak as piss self discipline. How can you have the discipline of a great warrior if you can't even resist your 9th turkey leg you gluttonous beef moon??
>>46277693
Smough was apparently not fat under the armor.
>>46285931
Grossly unhealthy
>>46277586
More like some extra natural armor.
>>46285988
> has no historical concept of what gladiators are
>thinks gladiators were skinny ottermode
>doesnt understand that 3+ inches of fat reduced deaths from high impacts such as car accidents
> Forgets that the more space between skin and arteries/veins reduces chance hemorrhaging in combat
> Cant understand the equation for momentum which is key for inflicting damage which has the key component of mass
Even English longbow men were bear-mode as fuck
I've wanted to play a fat rogue who was trying to maintain his status as the worlds best acrobat despite his girth.
Just a little globe if a man doing flips across the roof of the city at night. And a cowardly miser.
>>46277145
>>46283606
> BMI does not correlate with any known health difficulties, but exacerbates certain conditions such as diabetes.
Just kill yourself now. That is one of the most inaccurate statements to ever be uttered. Obesity hypo ventilation, CAD, obstructive sleep apnea, all the joint issues, there's a shit ton. Being overweight isn't that bad, being obese is and being morbidly obese well the word morbid is there for a reason fatty.
Anyways. I would play a Knight who was a certain amount of fat yes, but at over 25% BF it's crippling. No need to go dull inflation fetish/Baron Harkonnen here.
Overweight Knight
+1 Str, fat us like constant weightlifting
+2 con, your body has an extra layer of padding and you have extra energy reserves for poisons and such
-2 dex, you're a fatty so that extra weight also slows you down
-1 Cha, fatties are unattractive.
I would start out as the lazy son of a wealthier family who slowly got his shit together and lost the weight over the course of the campaign to get rid of the negative Stat modifiers.
>>46288560
>3+ inches of fat
Americans not knowing what Skinny actually is. Like 1-2 inches is more likely you hamplanet.

No, the DEX penalty simply isn't worth it.
Dunno if a knight because it's an exceptionally physical class, but I remember playing a tubby mage who was able to float around with minimal effort and at moderate speeds while playing a friend's homebrew, it was pretty fun.
>>46277621
I'm pretty sure the original intention was less "hamplanet" and more "powerlifter".
Those guys often have a fairly significant layer of fat as well.
>>46283606
>>46277767

I don't understand why people don't just admit they have a problem.

Yeah, he was 6'2" and broad even when was young, but after a few bad falls while jousting, stopping exercise and a few decades of vegetables=poor people's food he died really fucking heavy, over 300lbs. Still, this is long after he stopped doing tournaments

Happy Easter, everyone!
>>46289986
Thanks anon, you too!
>>46277145
I would and have played a fat knight. A strong dude who can afford to eat well is going to be fairly heavyset instead of looking like a modern bodybuilder.
My knight was an actual glutton though, and made no apologies.
>>46289665
Anon, who won that fight?
>>46277345
The average strongman is a barrel with tree trunks for arms and legs.
>>46290051
Not him but that fight isn't a good example since Raiden is extremely durable and strong himself, him vs Armstrong is more akin to a balanced fighter vs a brute.
>>46289042
HAHAHA
>>46291239
And Raiden only won because he had a special sword.
>>46277145
Nope, because a fat adventure is unrealistic. He would automatically lose weight through the long journeys.
Why are there so many fat fetishists on /tg/ all of a sudden? Where did they come from?

>That's one of the least unattractive fat guts I've seen. I'm used to folds/rolls. Is her gut just immune to gravity?
Well it probably depends on the type of fat...
Her gut and entire body probably has very evenly distributed Subcutaneous fat, the fat under the skin that makes butts soft, instead of the Visceral fat that can gather inside the abdominal cavity.
This makes sense, since this is the one of the fats the body immediately goes to for energy, and if the girl is a MAGE using her fat as energy storage then she's going to want the type that can expand and contract relatively freely.
Rin here, on the other hand, has all the fat almost entirely in her gut, which suggest a large amount of Visceral fat is crushing her organs.
A better question is where this Lipomancer got that extra head of height from...
>>46298494
>Why are there so many fat fetishists on /tg/ all of a sudden? Where did they come from?

I actually knew a girl like that, well not quite that fat but still like 220 lbs and her gut didn't droop at all. Wasn't a mess of stretch marks when she lost 80 lbs later either.

powerlifters never seemed very healthy to me. I try to do strongman, not very good at it, but the guys in it are fucking tankbears in every sense of the word. far more athletic than powerlifters
>>46289426
Same reason you won't admit you are pathetic loser, in his mother's basement, waiting for death to claim you, having contributed nothing to the human race.
I HATE the str vs. dex arguement because good combatants should strive to have both to some extent.
Also how fat are we talking? Almost all my characters are lumberjacksn-no homo
>>46285968
what kind of not-fat guy would have an attack where he sits on people?
>>46285968

>>46308218
"Smoff" obviously, like Hawk Eye Gough is pronounced Goff
>>46283666
>round knight of the table

>>46278392
Actual roman gladiators were known to have a decent layer of fat as then a somewhat deep cut was no longer debilitating as they would cut fat, not muscle and made the fights seem more bloody without actually causing fight ending injuries.
>>46288958
Well, they weren't warriors, they were slaves forced to fight, or glory seekers looking for battle. They trained day and night, and if they were trained to work as a unit they would've made a rather formidable force on the battle field. While some fights were scripted, most were very deadly with very real consequences for losing. It might not have been your life, but you could've lost your arm or other body parts rather easily.
>>46288929
>-1 Cha, fatties are unattractive.
In a medieval world? Being fat means you've got enough cash to have an excess of food.
>>46308328
Really? I was saying S-mow.
>>46308218
Sm-oh. It rolls of the tongue.
Smough rhymes with dough and though. So I go with the flow and call him Smough.
It could rhyme with cough or trough, but that doesn't roll off the tongue as naturally in my opinion. It could rhyme with slough and through but that would sound too cute. Just makes me think of smooch.
Gotta be sm oh.
>>46289645
king Henrey VIII was incredibly depressed and suffered some rather massive brain injuries from his jousting career. to be honest its a miracle he wasnt even more fucked up.

>>46308218
Smow, like dough or throw.
>>46308328
Incorrect. And Hawk Eye Gough is pronounced "Goukh", which is a weird pronunciation for modern English speakers to do. It's, as weird as it sounds, a "soft K". A better way to say it would be like "Guh". Closer than "Goff".

BMI is not a definitive statement of overall health, however.
More than "average" muscle throws the entire thing out of whack, as well as height extremes for your gender.
>>46277145
Yeah I would. Surprisingly, a lot of playable fat characters are godly in games.
>>46277145
I can see it working in a certain context. Strongfat knight who is past his prime and let himself go. Basically Robert Baratheon.
I would but I wear my bulk well, besides it only means more work for my horse and squire anyway.
