Behold, the jump nobody asked for! Will probably make the formatting a bit less ugly in the future.

Add another tally to the list of waifu jumps, folks.
>>
>>46231289
Is this more lewd shit we'll have to ban?
>>
>>46230231
>Heros don't seem to have an items section
Already acknowledged I fucked that one up.

>Squid Ink still hasn't been benchmarked beyond NLF
Will probably be in the notes section.

>personally I find it odd so many drawbacks are restricted to origins
They're restricted to races, not origins. I mean, I can change it, if it's that big of a deal, but I didn't think it was.

There'll be more general drawbacks added anyway, though.
>>
>>46231366
What the fuck are you talking about? This seems no more offensive than Sekirei or DxD.
>>
>>46231463
I'm asking because I don't know the series. 'Seems' isn't a confirmation.
>>
>>46231366
It's about the same level as DxD, to be honest. The lewd itself isn't part of the actual plot, thankfully.
>>
>>46231463
Puritan Anon has been getting worse as of late. I think he sees any type of fanservicey anime making on the drive a personal failure he has to atone for the next time.
>>
>>46231496
Is it ecchi or outright hentai?
>>
>>46231523
Wrong. I just asked a question, bogeyman obsessed idiot.
>>
>>46231527
Ecchi.

Also, damn it, I'm already seeing things I needed to fix. Give me a bit, anons.
>>
>>46231366
I don't think so. From what I can tell from a cursory glance at the wiki, it's like Highschool DxD in that the anime is somewhat lewd, but the setting doesn't necessarily mandate lewdness. There are other things to do than fuck, it's just the protagonist who can't see beyond his own dick.
>>
>>46231527
>the same level as DxD

It's obviously ecchi.

>>46231560
Also you probably neither care nor think it's a big deal but you come across like an abrasive, judgemental douche who doesn't actually read what he critiques.
>>
>>46231562
>>46231573
Alright, thank you for answering my question instead of being like >>46231523 and calling me a bogeyman.

Jumpers, what do you do with the time in worlds after the main story there ends?
>>
>>46231560
I'm bogeyman obsessed but you have to jump immediately to asking if a anime based Jump is hentai or not?

Every vigilant, that's puritan anon for you.
>>
>>46231289
Is Rule Breaker like, indestructible-indestructible? Could you theoretically bean the Lord of Nightmares over the head with it? I'm not familiar with the series but it honestly looks like a better piece of weapon equipment than a healing item as written.
>>
>>46231625
Build infrastructure, mostly. It's the best way to improve overall quality of life. I try to keep it to comparatively simple things so that the people I've granted it to can maintain and expand it on their own even after I'm gone, but with the sort of education perks a jumper can wield that still makes for a substantial increase in their infrastructure's technology base. Really helps people out.

Hugs for everyone.

Even the ones who don't deserve it.

Especially them. How else are they going to turn over a new leaf?
>>
>>46231712
It's about as dangerous as a fist-sized piece of rock could normally be. I mean, you COULD, but I'm not sure what it would accomplish. I'll clarify it and make it non-exempt from cosmic shit like that if it's a big enough issue.
>>
>>46231625
Generally? I wander that world and do whatever catches my interest. Sometimes that's chilling with the protagonist awhile longer, sometimes it's hunting rumors, but usually it all falls under the header of "Adventure". I'm a murderhobo without the murder bit.

If the world is still in a state of recovery from the main plot, I'll help with that instead.

>>46231754
I like you.
>>
>>46231289
Oh hey, another Jump! Looks good, glad to have more Jumps coming about. Speaking of Jumps, here's the latest update to the Devil Survivor 2 jump! All that's left is drawbacks and notes!
>>
>>46231366
Nope, it is a bit ecchi but not lewd. It is basically inukami tier.
>>
>>46231755
I don't know... I like CP rocks. For my earthbending and stuff. Took the boulder from Indiana Jones, the Very Magic Rock from Populous, and the Rust rock... an actually indestructable rock could be really fun for my rock-throwing/head-bashing fighting style.

Through resurrecting someone once a jump seems kinda meh honestly,
>>
>>46231870
Yeah, like I said that's cool. I just reacted to a 'surprise' waifu jump, since waifu stuff is often lewd.
>>
>>46231625
Buy every book in the world, see how the new colonies for the Correspondent Empire are coming, go on vacation, teach people, become a painter, work on my skills, improve my tech using the latest good tinkertech or new perks, contribute to the local economy, work as a reporter, fix loose ends, open restaurants, start new schools, write a novel, terraform the moon, release new technology, follow my new friends around, let my companions decide what to do, count down the jumps until I retire.
>>46231869
You have a problem.
>>
ACK! I SCREWED UP, I SCREWED UP.
>>
>>46231897
What did you do?
>>
>>46231925
He posted >>46231869 and forgot to attach the file. It's getting to be a pattern, Devil Survivor Anon. Are you alright? We worry for you.
>>
>>46231925
Well, I finished the item section, as well as added, and finished, the companion section. Oh, wait, I was going to do an opposite gender 'twin' option...Oops.
>>
>>46231897
YOU FOOOOOOOOL, YOU MADE A MISTAKE. Also Drop-In's and Survivor's items are priced weirdly. Are they supposed to be 50/100/150?
>>
>>46231894
I KNOW, I DONE GOOFED.
>>46231950
I'm just an idiot who keeps forgetting he has to actually attach the file.
>>46231966
Wha-GODDAMN IT. What is UP with me today?! I am really off my game!
>>
Alright, just made some slight errata related to Incubation Pods and the Pandora Prototype. Clarified Rule Breaker a bit. I MIGHT buff that item or make it more worthwhile in the future, but I'm concerned with jump stability right now.
>>
ALRIGHT, I FIXED MY MISTAKES. HOPEFULLY. UGH.
>>
>>46232063
Are Synapse Resident perks like Avatar, or Angelroid Combat and Processing perks restricted to Synapse Resident/Angelroid backgrounds like What Pearly Wings & Pearly Gates are? Or can anyone take them?
>>
>>46232278
Angelroid perks are indeed Angelroid-only (should be noted around the start of their list, I think), but Synapse Resident perks are available to other Origins if you can afford them.
>>
>>46231754
What's this from?
>>
>>46232063
Is it possible to learn how to make Synapse tech with the Capstone? It says you can make Angelroids, but I was curious. Also, I noticed that the Avatar perk says that Post-Jump you gain a body that is made for that world. Does that mean that if you jump RWBY, you get an Avatar with Aura?
>>
>>46232399
The answer is no. A good reason for this is that Synapse tech is poorly defined outside of what I managed to stuff into buy-able Gear. Crafting Angelroids is the only perk I was able to make for it without making it vague and abusable.

As for the Avatar, it's mentioned in Notes that trying to give your Avatar supernatural abilities (which Aura would fall under) would make it insta-melt. Giving it 'mild' enhancements like appearance chances or soft biomods would just make it increasingly uncomfortable to interface with.

Do you ever rip off someone from another setting just to look or sound cooler anons?
>>
>>46232470
That was actually unintentional, but I think I'll consider that a feature instead of a bug. So, yes. That's how it works.
>>
if i go to fate, can my stats be lowered by going servant? or do perks supercede what i've bought. as a side note, would going mage vastly empower the available servants as i would become the apex of that world? or am i a wildcard whose own ability has no bearing on the bar humanity's potential is set to?

I'm honestly not sure. You'll have to fanwank it. Some of the achievements of the canon characters are a little ridiculous, though (intercontinental laser beams, moving at Mach 24, etc.). A few heads in Synapse will definitely turn once they notice a gigantic creature in the middle of Earth, though. How they react? It's your chain, you tell me.
>>
>>46232626
No. No. They stack on top of what you already have. I have no idea what the last two sentences mean, try rewording your question.
>>
>>46232736
I think he's asking if Servants who have stats like "X times better than human capability" get raised up higher because his presence means that human capability is higher than it would be in canon. I'm pretty sure the answer is no, though, otherwise that would be ridiculous.

Oh ye gods, /you have no idea how bad the day we just had was/

So on entry to this reality, a flock of fucking underwear was somehow flying through the depths of outer space. Nobody seemed to care-but then again, this was space NEET central. So we delegated a subdivided avatar to investigate this silliness on Earth.

Where some sort of defective gynoid started firing lasers at us. We've still got a massive metaphysical cracked rib from our fight with the Lightbringer so we hightailed it out of there.

All that effort and we've only one deatomised avatar, a whole lot of craters and one predatory loli to show for our efforts. We're pretty sure this was the point where the other Synapses started laughing at us. All of this just motivated us to lock ourself in our space room, program some space vidya and ignore the panicked screams when Chaos started braeching the ship's hull.

And THEN she somehow got near the ship's reactor so we had to get personally involved. Incidentally saving a certain pro-human Synapse researcher from molten shrapnel with two well-timed portals and an impromptu quantum airlock.

Anyway. This Daedalus person seems to have a good head on her shoulders. Admittedly, she's more interesting to talk to than literally everyone here (and less of a jerk than that fucker Minos who we SWEAR is behind the migratory underwear, somehow). We cooked some ramen to eat together. Which drew a crowd because we cook the best ramen ever, but the point is-it was around the point we brought up magical hacking that she persuaded us to get involved with the actual plot.

Apparently a lot of collateral damage could've been saved if some of her creations could be unshackled from their masters.

HEAT shells are supposed to be anti-armor primarily, but in the game the shells explode into a huge cloud of flame when they strike. I added in that extra line about them being useful again infantry as well, because honestly, if a tank slammed a fireball shell in my general vicinity, I'm sure it would hurt.

>>46233289
I'm pretty sure she's an original work. I tend to save stuff from all over the internet, so I can't be 100% sure, but I'm relatively certain she's original.
>>

>I added in that extra line about them being useful again infantry as well, because honestly, if a tank slammed a fireball shell in my general vicinity, I'm sure it would hurt.
Fair enough. Sounds like the Ring of Red universe seriously overcharges their powder loads.
>>
>>46233347
You have good taste then Yoro. Quick question, do you need the entire Engineer perk tree, or just the 100cp perk and capstone to create AFWs?
>>
>>46233190
If you want to pretend to be your Servant's Noble Phantasm, go ahead. If you want a companion to be the Servant, you still need to be the Master and you can't both be Servants.
>>
Is there any way for one to become the embodiment of humanity? Im thinking alyana from nasuverse type suff.
>>
>>46233402
...No? If and when I do a jump for SMT Nocturne, you'll be able to become the embodiment of a philosophy/concept as an endgame option, though. So maybe you could become something SIMILAR to that.

You really just need the capstone to create AFWs. The 200 and 400 CP abilities on the Mechanic trees aren't related to building AFWs in the slightest. The 100 CP ability mainly gives you the ability to repair and maintain them, but if you buy the capstone you get that as part and parcel of knowing how to build one.

A decade ago, Daedalus and us had a spirited debate on whether violence is a necessary evil or something to be abhored and avoided at all costs. We didn't manage to come to a resolution between the whole slippery slope fallacy and the zero-sum game rebuttel no we were not holding back the Path to Victory's most immediate solution to save her feelings and let her come to her own conclusion, why would you even think that, don't be absurd

But as counterarguments go, nothing quite tops a DEMONIC NAZI INVASION. Especially after we showed her some Mike Mignola comics and explained the whole many-worlds interpretaiton of quantum mechanics as applied to Jumpchain. Also especially after Elodie introduced her to an array of nonlethal high energy weapons.

Since she's getting along with Alita and Kat they'll be testing out the preliminary third-gen Angelroid schematics we're helping her cook up with additional magitech.

Jibril kinda blew her chance when she blew up a nearby hanger in excitement.

As for us-we're summoning the Hierarchy of Laguna, getting Amane to call in Remiel and fusing Metatron himself to go Old Testament on the Nazi menace. Now, all we have to do is explain to Comrade Stalin why shutting down all the churches is a bad, bad idea if he wants our new allies' support.

You can actually reach her level through in-jump actions.

I'd still debate that. It would make you competitive up until the Fullbring arc, after that you're going to get left behind fast if all you've got is in-jump powers. Once the Wandenreich show up the story might as well put up a "You must be this much of a special snowflake to ride this ride" sign.

... I'm not even sure if you're saying his intent or the obvious is that you need to be ASA, but as it happens that's not true for either of them. He said if you're intending to fight the absolute pinnacle of power the setting can ever reach you might want to push it off for later, meaning you're probably not going to want to do it as a FIRST JUMP, not that you need to be a super-reality-warping-world-killing monster. Physical force will work fine, and not even the peak of what's available in the chain.

I'm fairly satisfied with the Marvel jump, but it's perfectly reasonable for someone to be bummed out the highest they can get is City Level so no playing around in outer space without a ton of jumps under their belt.

I AM, however, salty as shit at the DC jump expecting me to deal with planetary threats that the heavily plot armored street levellers and low-cosmic supers have to team up to fight as a street leveller that actually follows logic and can't rely on the writers to save his hide.

Eh... Power level-wise the jump isn't that bad. You are most likely powerful enough to join the avengers. It is clearly trying to put you at street level but that's not that bad. It's more a symptom of the time in which it was made. Also if you are creative you can make some pretty powerful and interesting powers.
I know people want to be battling Doom and Magneto but maybe it's understandable that would require a few other jumps under your belt or a lot of friends by your side.

Okay, so demigod encyclopedia time. Sorry for the delay, life has been interesting. The Darkness would get you empowerment in dark places, moving between shadows, better than perfect nightvision, stealth skills, dimming nearby lights, creating small objects from darkness, storing objects within shadows, turning into a shadow, and summoning up Darklings mostly. Basically Nyx with creation in place of some of the sheltering night and darkness everywhere stuff.

Velka I'm unsure on how to render due to minimal lore being available. Leaning a fun combination of bonuses against those who break laws, absolving criminals, and being empowered by others breaking laws, communicating with crows, along with a bit of occult stuff, and retribution. My apologies on the vagueness, any time I try to write out exact mechanics for them it comes out weird and poorly thought out.

Finally Oblivion would be an odd one. He'd be largely focused on the ability to wear away at reality through his mere presence, diminishing everything slightly. This can be sped up for combat with a touch and you grow stronger the less stuff there is nearby you (so if you're in space you're ridiculously superhuman). Also you can reform objects you have destroyed with your abilities, somewhat influenced by their non-existence but still functional, and move between places where the fabric of reality is frayed. Finally you may temporarily turn your powers in on yourself to not exist for awhile, automatically returning after a time you set when activating the power (more than a short while is inadvisable though, it drains your power to do this, and if you don't have enough then you're kinda screwed).

As always if there are any complaints or things I'm missing feel free to point them out. I'm well aware that small amounts of time wikidelving doesn't get you all the intricacies.

>>46234942
I guess. Depends on which interpretation you're going with, notably the wiki for Oblivion mentioned Galactus is occasionally talked about on the same level as Oblivion's group (Eternity, Infinity, Death, and Oblivion), so he probably gets in from that. Lots of big blasty powers, with the issue that they're fueled by draining the life of swathes of land, as well as the ability to invest power into a being to serve as your herald, generally being ridiculously strong and hard to kill, and easy access to most divine realms. (Due to necessary scale adjustments Galactus would mostly be feeding on various divine realms taking the place of planets, with the desertification of the Fertile Crescent being blamed on one of the few times he ate part of the mortal world)

Will probably define it a bit more come morning. I'm tired and don't feel like another wiki delve before bed.

Power ring allows you to basically snipe vast distances. During the Sinestro Corps War, they had a sniper who was sniping across the universe. He was in Space Sector 3, and was killing GLs near Oa. If HeavensAnon is around, a few questions about how technology/magitech from other worlds might interact with Heaven's Lost Property technology. Some of these probably don't have any conclusive answer, so even guesses would be appreciated:

1. The Pandora System is described as a program. The Defragmentation Device from Blame! specialises in repairing and improving both software and hardware. Is it thus possible to use its' technology to improve the Prototype Pandora System? As an aside for Devil Survivor-in an earlier combo we were wondering if it would buff summoned beings overall, or just their purely physical traits-it's probably the latter, right?

2. How would it interact with nanotechnology from Iji, GUNNM and Bubblegum Crisis that also has its' own self-improvement protocals? Would the improvements integrate with each other, or for the purposes of the post-Spark thing would they be unable to buff the System beyond a certain point-or perhaps unlock unique processes rather than those sealed?

3. The Gravity Furnace from Blame! contains the potential for functionally endless gravitational energy-which one of the factions has managed to harness for all sorts of tricks like private spatial locks. The Safeguard are a kind of biomechanical energy being produced which can harness built-in forms of gravity furnace technology. If you used something like HYDRA Blueprints to integrate a structural conversion tower (the thing that makes Safeguards) into an Angelroid production how much more efficient would you make them overall?

4. Would a steady supply of endless energy and resources help the Pandora System's ability to self-modify? e.g. an Aeon Paragon inscribed with Correspondence sigils for limitless energy to enhance its' resource production.

5. Does the Pandora System only interact with "hardware" technology or can it also interface with energy constructs? Like MMZ's Cyber Elves, for example.

6. If one were to use Cyberdidact or Harder, Better, Faster, STronger to awaken the machine spirit of the Pandora System, would it effectively grant sapience/communicate with the Angelroid it's installed in or give the program itself a will of its' own?

7. Given a form of technology which can interact with matter and energy on an atomic level could the Prototype Pandora System potentially effect molecular-level alterations given sufficient time for integration of something like Song Science, or would you say this is something sealed for post-Spark?

8. Lastly, is there any chance if one were to integrate supernatural power sources such as the Force or psychic powers-or contain spirits of nature into hardware affected by the Pandora System via something like The Arcane Craft-that they could interfere with the modifications, either positively or negatively?

>>46236443
From what I heard it was mainly used to make single-use gadgets in the series. The Age system can create an entire line of gundams for production, each new gundam the protagonists use is generated by the Age System with some pretty good enhancements. The limits to the system are that to produce a new design it needs new combat data or new information on technology. However Gundam AGE has three protagonists, with the second being the son of the first, and the third being the second's son, and takes place over quite a period of time. The AGE system itself was really useful but it wasn't really any faster than say the natural technological development in Universal Century.

>>46236593
Whoops, look's like I'll have to correct that. Be right back!
>>46236596
Bel will DEFINITELY help. At full power, it puts you on par with regular YHVH(His yellow head form, not the Great Will itself), though you'll still need a crap ton of power to keep up with a YHVH with Canopus' power, especially since he'll be able to call on some of his other avatars as well. Not a lot, but a few. I'd definitely recommend taking it as a late-game jumper.
>>
>>46236665
>Correct
No drawback limit is superior.
>>
>>46236650
Just give a giga-drawback or something.
>>
>>46236702
>giga-drawback
>implying anyone would pay attention to it
>implying it wouldn't be wanked away
>>
>>46236683
Eh, you can get a maximum of 600/800cp, which should be sufficient. Anymore would be suicidal.
>>
>>46236746
Yeah, you're gonna get shat on for putting in a limit.

Calling it now.
>>
>>46236665
Oh hey, speaking of Bel: Are the demons you summon from your court sapient, or are they more like mindless copies? The notes say that they're not companions, but that could be interpreted as them just not being able to retain changes you make to them.
>>
>>46236746
If I want to commit drawback suicide I think that's my right.
>>
>>46236729
So what? Then you get to shitpost at them about how they died. I bet that'd be fun for you.
>>
>>46236769
Hey, you can still take the drawbacks, you just won't get CP for them. Go ahead, commit suicide.
>>
>>46236533
The answer to most of these is honestly 'I don't know'. The technology in Heaven's Lost Property is not expanded on or defined well, and if I could answer how each perk is affected by a different jump's perks, we'd be here making an entire wiki of cross-jump perks and details therein.

The guideline and Pre-Spark caps exist to make it both usable and reasonable without a Jumpchain turning into 'Angel Loli Borg 3.0'. It's safe to assume such is Jump-chan's doing, and they likely wouldn't be happy with trying to bypass it.

As for things that interact with it without actually breaking this hard cap or the diminishing returns factor: Flip a coin.
>>
>>46236769
Then just take the drawbacks and don't get the CP for it. Go ahead, show us how you can do it.
>>
>>46236797
>>46236817
Then what's the point? No reward no risk.
>>
>>46236746
I should have kept my mouth shut.
But it was going to happen anyway once people posted builds with 1000cp+ drawbacks.
>>
>>46236828
The point is to commit suicide. I thought that's what you wanted.
>>
>>46236816
Hey you, how the fuck are we supposed to survive in this setting if anyone with any power is going to instantly kick our ass no matter what we buy?
>>
>>46236756
Why? Every other Jump has a limit?
>>46236766
They're definitely sapient, it's just as a Bel they CAN'T disobey you unless a higher power (Lucifer, for example) overrules you. Even then, they're still YOUR demons. they just can't help.
>>46236769
Eh, it's just how the system works. You can still do it if you want, you just won't gain cp for it. B.B.B. gets you more demons and companions, if that's any consolation.
>>46236835
>1000cp
...Would that be better?
>>
>>46236843
>Every other Jump has a limit?
That's actually not true.
>>
>>46236843
Stick to your guns. If you decided 600 was what you wanted, put that in. Any variation is simply personal taste.
>>
The Lantern Ring from the DC jump says you can't get past the level of Kilowog, but I'm mostly familiar with the Lanterns from the JLU cartoon, and I barely remember most of that. What can Kilowog do in the comics?
>>
>>46236816
>'Angel Loli Borg 3.0'.
How is it any worse than 'magiteck loli scientist'? That's one of our jumpers already. At least it has a more solid theme than most.
>>
>>46236868
If there are ones without them, I haven't seen them.
>>46236869
Yeah, you're probably right. The limit as it is is still pretty high.
>>
>>46236843
>They're definitely sapient, it's just as a Bel they CAN'T disobey you unless a higher power (Lucifer, for example) overrules you. Even then, they're still YOUR demons. they just can't help.
Okay, so the "just can't retain the changes" thing, then. That's fine. Keeps me from doing one thing I had planned with them, but has other advantages.
>>
>>46236876
Punch. All he's capable of is being a retard and punching shit.
>>
>>46236878
Apologies for being vague. I mean 'getting Pandora and then eating and copying all technology from all worlds'. You'd become a living singularity VERY quickly if it was uncapped and unnerfed. Hence why it's a post-Spark feature.
>>
>>46236828
Well then what you should have said was "If I want to commit suicide, I want to get all the points for it too"

>>46236839
Have you even read the thread? It's only the top 1% that you might have a problem with.

>>46236843
Just stick to what you're comfy with. If you only want to have a 600 limit, don't feel forced.
>>
>>46236903
I can do that with one jump already.

Kancolle.

Or if you hate non-canon? Bubblegum Crisis has the same. Fairly Tail too.

And again, tell me, how am I supposed to survive her except by hiding?

>>46236906
>the top 1%
The main characters and villains, meaning the only people that matter. Nobody gives a fuck about your nameless peon.
>>
>>46236843
1000cp+ was just an arbitrary example. I'm not putting forward anything and further haggling of the drawback cap would be disrespectful.
Creator says it 600/800, so that's what it is.
>>
>>46236889
>Haven't seen them
FF6/8 are examples.

>pretty high.
How? 600 is the default minimum.
>>
>>46236927
You're going to have to be a little more specific. Who are you referring to?
>>
>>46236943
>Default
So it should be perfectly fine as is then right?
>>
>>46236927
>Nobody gives a fuck about your nameless peon.
So are we in the "jumps are worthless unless we can dickslap mc-kun" arguments again?
>>
>>46236958
>Who are you referring to?
Here. As in, this setting. You've already said that the only important people would kick your ass completely because you've nerfed any ability to grow in this jump. So how the fuck are you supposed to survive?
>>
>>46236899
Indeed. Oh, and to clarify, I meant higher powers they would listen too: YHVH is technically a higher power, but non-Law demons won't obey him
>>46236906
Yeah, that's probably for the best.
>>46236932
This is fine by me.
>>46236943
Huh. Haven't seen that. Also, 600cp/800cp allows you to pay for the most expensive perk in-jump. Besides, 600 as you said is the default, so why fix what isn't broken?
>>
>>46236978
>Guys I spend 10 years fighting a level 1 kobold! Look at my fun adventure!

Does Machina Soul even do that? The only known user jobbed pretty hard...
>>
>>46236876
Powerful blasts that can hurt Parallax, complex medical devices, and he's the guy who trains people in how to use their rings. He's one of the upper-tier lanterns.
>>
>>46236876
Pretty impressive stuff. Kilowog is one of the more technically-skilled Lanterns. He's got a knack for using his ring to assemble machinery out of Lantern constructs, letting him do much more versatile feats than most of the Corps are capable of. He doesn't have the incredible raw power of Hal Jordan or Kyle Rayner, but he's got great fine control.

>>46236902
That's just his fighting style. He prefers to rely on his own natural strength as a Bolovaxian when it comes to offense, that lets him focus all his ring's energy on defense and mobility.
>>
>>46236663
>one way or another
Doesn't necessarily mean right in the thick of it, though. Darkseid invades Earth? You might just end up fighting some parademons that survived the spiders in Australia, or maybe you're on monitor duty up in the Watchtower at the time and have to coordinate the league's response (to the parademon invasion, not the spiders, nobody can handle those), let them know where all the Boom Tubes are or whatever. Doesn't mean you'll have to face Darkseid personally (unless your luck _really_ sucks).
>>
>>46237005
Yes, it's just that in shounen people use thinking powers really stupidly. All that matters is how hard you bunch, anything that requires the characters or mangaka to be clever falls flat.
>>
>>46235867
... Lantern rings can snipe across the universe?Given he is using a scope to see that far does that mean they can see what is happening half-way across the universe in real time?

>>
>>46236978
Basically, yes.

>>46236876
This guy here? >>46236902 Flagrantly full of shit. Fucker is one of the most brilliant of his species. And the strength of his will's fucking oustanding - when his planet was destroyed? >>
>>46237005
Doesn't she only lose because she fights opponents that are even MORE powerful?
>>
>>46236979
You know, several anons already answered your question and even a cursory glance into this series would answer it. But you seem a little slow, so I'll explain in detail.

The main antagonist in this series is Minos, who mostly sits in his orbital satellite heaven dicking around with the protagonists. He's not exactly proactive, though, and is content with sitting on his ass for most of the series and letting Angelroids do the work for him.

The other antagonist, Chaos, has her own jumper-specific drawback that is optional to take. In most other cases, you'd probably never encounter her unless you directly threatened Synapse (kicked the door down guns glazing, for instance) or stuck close to the plot.

You also seemed concerned about reality-warpers. Angelroids are great physical threats, but can't actually DO anything like that. There's only one reality-warping item in Lost Property and the Jumper gets a free immunity to it. The easiest way to survive in this world is simply not take Synapse antagonizing drawbacks.

If that doesn't work? Befriend the main cast. They'll fix things on their own unless you go out of your way to prevent it. It turns this into a slice of life jump, but this isn't that high-intensity a setting unless you want it to be, anyways.

Easy enough to understand?
>>
>>46237051
Course, then Sinestro blew up that planet.
>>
>>46237038
Yes. It uses Kilowog as a reference point, and Kilowog is one of the best Lanterns when it comes to exotic ring constructs. So you could probably create one of the super-luminal sniper cannons used in that fight.
>>
While we're talking about Green Lantern Rings, can you power one with Spiral Energy? Or at least modify one to be powered by it?
>>
>>46237038
Probably. Kilowag is like right under the power level of the human GLs. Most the time he seems to be as powerful as John Stewart. John is pretty low key and makes his constructs super durable by making sure they actually could function. Like he makes sure there's nuts and bolts and moving pieces.

Kilowog's is only one known to actually make a sound. Also his blasts are pretty powerful.
>>
>>46237083
They didn't answer. They said "You should be happy hiding!"

So you're telling me that in this setting you're not supposed to do anything except sit around and twiddle your fucking thumbs because you've set it up so otherwise you will fucking die. How is that fun?

And your only OTHER solution is to do nothing and be a helpless worthless damsel and let other people protect you. How fucking pathetic is that? How the fuck is being useless fun?
>>
>>46237100
No, Rings are powered by a very specific emotion, Spiral Energy is not Willpower, though they do have a connection the are not the same thing.

You likely COULD modify one, but it would be difficult, and likely be shit due to how Lantern Rings work in the first place.
>>
>>46237134
There's more to a setting than trying to kill the top dogs, anon.
>>
>>46237032
...I was gonna argue that that's against the spirit of it, with how much comic books (and /jc/ in general, no matter how much people try to be jesus 2.0 or techno gods) focus on fighting.

But you know what? That's actually fucking great. That line of thinking would let me make use of a lot of skillsets and powers that just go out the wayside due to me troubleshooting in person, or diplomancing stuff as best as I can in other settings.
>>
>>46237150
If I wanted to sit on my ass and eat toast I'd go to it right now. I don't jump just to be a normal person and do nothing important.
>>
>>46237100
Definitely. Lantern Rings can charge up off of alternate power sources (at least, they used to be able to, it might have been retconned away), though it can have weird effects if the source is too different from the Green Power Battery and can backfire on the user. But "green light of willpower" is pretty much what Spiral Energy is, so I imagine it could deal with the difference more easily than it could others.
>>
>>46237005
I don't know about the anime, but I'm pretty sure that model chick was in Machina Soul form for like 2 panels in the manga, and was one-shotted by Mirajane before she actually did anything.
>>
>>46237134
Not those Anons, but I'm fairly certain the Angel perk tree would make you powerful enough to survive a lot of the shit in setting, considering the most powerful ones get hit by nuclear equivalent and shrug them off.
>>
>>46237099
>>46237129
Looks like I will be buying one of them after all.

I'd considered sneaking into one of the human lanterns homes in stopped time while they were asleep and stealing it, and just not letting it out of the Warehouse till post jump, but I think buying it is worth it now.

Also means I don't have to figure out how to power it when it's disconnected from the battery.
>>
>>46237168
And it's just fascinating how the only way you can think to be important is to personally kill all the bad guys. Have some creativity, anon.
>>
>>46237186
Lantern Rings are user-locked, stealing one just means you have a pretty bauble. You can override the locks, but it takes another Lantern Ring to do.
>>
>>46237140
>and likely be shit due to how Lantern Rings work in the first place
How's that?
>>
>>46237188
There is no fun in sucking up to other people to make them do the actual work. If you don't accomplish anything on your own it's meaningless.

>>46237184
You can't fight anyone meaningful. Nobody with a name. None of the major events. Nothing that ACTUALLY matters. Who gives a fuck if you can kill a nameless peon or human? Does that matter? No. Does that affect change? No. Is that worthy? Something actually fun or interesting to do? Hell no.

There is absolutely a god. And at this rate He and We are both undergoing a severe mercy deficet. It's up to us to convince JP and Ronaldo's faction of the need to team up against this xeno heretic.

Rings are powered by Entities that are living representations of that Element.
Without a living representation of Spiral Energy your ring won't be that great. You're better off just trying to build something from scratch, rather than using Lantern Tech as a base.

>>46237234

They're too powerful.

We're not as familiar with this as Devil Survivors but-we have to question whether Alcor is /the/ best candidate for succession. At the very least we should have Miyako and Amane put their heads together, do some interviews and screen other candidates from among the divine. Or maybe ask YHVH to delegate a subdivided aspect as a candidate; humans can become potential Administrator candidates right? Perhaps others may qualify too. Either way, apparently to hack into the multiversal servers is a Bad Idea so we shall focus on shoring up defences interdimensional & otherwise against the invaders first, and possibly petitioning our father in heaven to deploy the Archangels for fusion if there's something we can target far away enough to not risk the planet as collateral damage.

Hopefully by the Triangulum arc between our authority over demonkind and angelic reinforcements we'll have enough collective firepower to stall Arcturus in order to file a metaphysical complaint to the effect that it's the Triangulum and Polaris who are the errors here, not us.

>>46237269

The latest STALKER jump has something for harnessing artifacts to your technology, and SCP has supernatural containment procedures and reverse engineering of anomalies perks.

There's possibly also the Micro-Brain Repair Units from Swat Kats-although they're an item, and it's less "fuse technological systems" than "grab nearby technology and make it into a weird robot thing which may or may not go nuts"

No.

They're unbeatable with the jump.

Spoken like someone who's never been a small business owner. It's quite fulfilling. You should try it. They say that everyone's got at least one good idea for a business in them. What's yours, anon?

As far as I know, there isn't, I'm afraid. Since you've made yourself as clear as you can, there's no shame in just not responding to him if he's obsessed with powerlevels beyond common sense and imagination.

>>46237648
>>46237706

When you're at the point when your own preferences and assumptions are your only argument it's generally a sign you should realise you're not going to persuade anyone.

The problem you keep running into and others keep pointing out is while they may be unbeatable with PERK PURCHASES alone there's plenty of things you can do to arrange their doom in the jump with those perks as assistance-but for some reason you have an axiometric obsession of personal responsibility that makes you discount things like manipulation and subtlety as "weak", when it's generally held as the whole point of jumpchain that you shouldn't have to rush headlong into every fight.

If you can't accept this than there's not really a point in continuing this exchange further.
>>
>>46237706
Oh come on, it'll be fun. Let's open a business together, anon. What skills do you have that we could market?
>>
>>46237743
>there's plenty of things you can do to arrange their doom in the jump
All of which involve you not actually doing anything.
>>
>>46237760
>All of which involve you doing things other than brute forcing your way through problems

Look, other people aren't responsible for catering to your personal playstyle. It's already been pointed out they're not literally gonna gun for you, personally, and there's ways around them.
>>
>>46237796

>>46237796
Don't bother, anon. People have tried to talk to him, he's never going to be satisfied unless he can Saitama his way through every problem ever.

Nor should they over-favor or punish one playstyle over others.

Okay, or if the landfill thing isn't to your tastes (and I can understand that, it's not really a "small business", I was shooting too far), but still in the same general idea: Lumber yard specializing in reclaimed wood. Is not the shooter necessary for the gun to fire? Is not the master necessary for the puppet to dance?

I don't expect him to be persuaded considering the jumpmaker intentionally ignored it for as long as he could and the ONLY things he's said in defense of himself are "What's wrong with hiding and doing nothing?" and "Why don't you suck up to the MCs to do all the work while you do nothing?", which is just willfully ignoring the problem.
>>
>>46237648
>Ooh I beat up another bad guy. Woo. Go me.
After heaps of jumps it would become mundane to you. Do you think there is anything worth doing, or do we all live pointless, worthless lives? Is every jumper that doesn't make themselves the main focus of the story every single time again and again and again a waste of potential because they want to do something else, or get bored of being the only one who saves the day?

Sounds like a serious case of badwrongfun.

It's real world talk, too. Orcus was (one of, the Romans ganked gods from everyone they met) the Roman god of the underworld. His name is where we get "orc" from, actually, the word originally referred to any evil spirit that served Orcus. That's why killer whales are called orcas, too, because they were seen as sea monster servants of Orcus.

I have built something of a collection.

Among them is a form whose eyes once burned with hateful fire. Now her eyes are inert stone - like the rest of her. Every now and again, I notice that someone has stolen a kiss while I wasn't looking. Odd, considering the way her lips are parted in shock. A shame that the face of an angel was wasted on such a twisted devil. Still, it was in her name - she had to fall some day.

Another was always stone - perhaps lifelike enough that one might think she had not been, but make no mistake. Every ounce of her has always been marble. Among them, she is the only one depicted as "happy" or "content." Perhaps in time, she will serve as an example, and the others will accept their fate.

There are still many empty pedestals.

My Civilization/ Pet Project from Civilization, essentially a bunch of mini jumpers who ride between worlds on the aforementioned Ark and the Light of Terra or stay behind in the various colonies it leaves in it's wake, though instead of CP they have the power to purchase (With Money and Traded Resources, not CP), reverse engineer and produce what they find in new worlds, along with the powers which are possible to grant en mass like Harry Potter magic through viruses, Animorphing, Cauldron Vials and Second/Third/ It's been a long time and I don't keep track at this point Generation Trigger induced Parahuman Powers, The Saviour-Deliver Us powers for those who follow the Gospel, and Aura, and the notes I make public. Like me, they have the choice to stay or move on with each Jump, though they can't go home unless I spark, and they have to be on the Ark or the Light of Terra to move on, or else they are stuck until I spark, which isn't much time from their perspective.

Drawbacks: Stalky Stalking Stalker (+100)

So, soccer sounds like a good choice. Everybody knows it, the rules are fairly simple, and it's the sport I'm most likely to encounter in future jumps because of that.

On the other hand, I'm stuck in a high school where I can't even cut class because that would risk me being barred from the team. I'm not learning anything, so at this point I'm just passing the papers onto the Executive Desk while Fia's on break and remembering to sign my name at the top. Beating kids at games isn't my idea of fun, but I like teaching them how to get better at the sport. Practicing with them and helping them get used to stronger and faster opponents with different skillsets is really neat and gives me a reason to get better at the game.

I have to stay in for ten years, though, and that covers less than half. College, at least, I spend getting a different degree each time I land in a jump that makes me go. This time I'm getting something in the humanities, probably English or a new language. For college soccer I have to be impressive enough to get snapped up by a pro team. So, I think I'll head to the Olympics a couple times and show off my skills there. Afterwards, it's back to passing the ball and positioning my teammates to make the goals.

My team also often practiced against my companion. They have enough for a whole team, so I figure, why not?

Hmm. That might be doable between our divinely appealling foodstuffs and techno-negotiation. We've set two plans in motion to bring Law to the world and a certain assemblage of ours might just be what we need to harness the power of Observation to prevent cross-universe shenanigans from sundering our order. Perhaps not the whole thing, but we're sure YHVH and Canopis will have some ideas of their own to use it as a basis for further upgrades.

This brings us to another query, actually-the efforts we have gone to in order to carry out YHVH's plan to bring about the Messiah, as well as a possible intervention on our part to negotiate the whole Polaris/Triangulum fiasco without ichor(?)shed brings with it a presumptous little opportunity for a Changeling contract.

The question, of course, arises: What kind of things would you acquire from a contract with YHVH and Canopus? Presumably the Rank 1 clauses would respectively deal with general moral detection/sudden insights into the mechanics of the universe, but the higher ranked clauses seem incresainly harder to balance. Preferably without essentially copying everything from Sword of Polaris in the case of the latter, but admittedly there may be a lot of thematic overlap given the nature of Canopis and its' administrators.
