I suppose you could flip a regular knife to function as a D2, then get one of those weird triple edged stilleto knives and roll those along the table like those weird "crystal dice" you sometimes see to have it function as a D3, in fact you could arbitrarily add edges to a stilleto and have it act as Dx where x= number of edges the stilleto blade has.

And obviously unlike normal die, they'd be much better balanced.

well, if we're flipping knives to act as d2s, then we can actually get any die by flipping multiple knives per roll. Each flip becomes 1 bit of information, and then you just need to represent your target rolls in binary. Naturally, this doesn't work for all dice: trying to roll a d20 ends up with either a d16 or a d32. Now you can do two things to solve this. Option 1 is simply roll a d32, re-rolling if you ever get higher than a d20. Option 2 is a little more complicated. Start by flipping ~100 knives. This gives you a number between 1 and 2^100 (roughly 34 billion). Divide this number by 20, and take the remainder as your roll.

Theproblem with darts is that It's a very popular bar game, one that be picked up ad learned in mere seconds.
With a couple practice rounds, you'll suddenly be great. I'm no master of darts but I manage to land higher than a 15 every time I throw.
Using that as die rolls would get boring as the game progresses because people will pass every check you throw at them.
