Take tons of drawbacks so I can afford without the discounts, or be complicit in the mass murder of my people? Well, I guess the drawbacks will be easier to live with in the long run, those go away after just ten years. The guilt would last forever. I guess I can afford to spend a decade fighting stupidly and getting run over by boulders.

So, I'm torn.

Most of me wants to go cultist, and spread my own version of the 40k Imperial Cult throughout the multiverse.

HOWEVER.

Boulders.

I could max out my drawbacks and buy 16, sixteen!, sweet ass boulders.

I'll need to think on this.

So here we are. In the middle of a Nazi fortress. Just trying to tactfully leave via portal-

-and then a boulder falls out of the portal, chasing us straight into a room full of Nazis petting a kitten.

Jesus christ, how horrifying.

The ensuring escape involves climbing into the fridge, tying the umbrella to the Staff of Aaron and creating enough artificial wind to surf right down the hallways while dodging yet more boulders, kittens and combinations thereof. Better steer for the open ocean.

Make no mistake: There is a totally reasonable explanation for our cat fear. Cats from Fallen London got wind of our Fingerking experiments and are conspiring with the Nazis to roll giant interdimensional boulders at us.

...

...anyway, we'll follow Dr Jones around for a few digs, get the ropes. Afterwards apparently stuff gets weird in the comics contuinities so depending on whether those come into play during the 10 years we may or may not meander off to go find other places not explored in that timeframe. Maybe convince Indy to come on a jointly sponsored expedition to the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull so we can get that adventure over with WITHOUT having Shia Labeof ever have to swing with the monkeys.

Time to fill up that museum. Possibly with carved off trophies from narrowly dodged boulders.

Cultist: Good news, everyone! There's no need to wonder where your god is! For she is right here...~

Catchy Theme: Sing with me, the song of silence and love.
Wicked Cultured (100CP): Always important, to seem cultured and refined.
Symbol of God: The power of symbols. Everpresent and unaging.
Sight of God: Oh hey, drugs. Fun.
Feng Shui (100CP): There is something to be said about making an impression when you're not there for it.
Amrita (300CP): Hear. Think. Feel. I welcome you.
Foolish Thule (100CP): Inspiration. The feeling you are doing something important. Meaning to one's life.
The Trains Run On Time (600CP): Lots of people put together will inevitably murder each other. Let's prevent that.
Historically Pleasant (100CP): Eheheh.

Religious Dancer (100CP): Let us walk together. Shall we?

Flashy Mook Show (+200): I have deflected you bullet with a sword. What now, Indiana?!
Bowling for Boulders (+200): Rolling rolling rolling... Run.

So, this is going to be interesting. Rather like Tomb Raider, this jump shall be spent on egging Dr. Jones on in his adventures.

>Is on timer before nuclear blast

Spending these ten years to establish a world-wide religion will also be an interesting challenge, I'd say.

I'm getting the library for the old book smell, and I should probably add a library to my Animal Crossing town. Since I have tons of books stored in my warehouse, I can make copies and put them out. I'll use the warehouse key on a door in the back, and it will lead to the Cluttered Library. That's how Indy will get in and steal my stuff. I have trackers on everything, so it's not a real problem of losing stuff.

I'm more bugged at him for just not asking. He's fighting Nazis, he could ask for my sons still beating heart and I'd let him borrow it for a few months.

In my head, Indiana Jones has melded just a bit with the thought process of Professor Layton. This effects the world. Nobody thinks this is odd, people just throw puzzles onto things, and that's the way it's always been.
Only my companions suffer for this.
PUZZLESSSS

On a more "Profiteering" note...
Well. It would be base to say that I'm just a treasure hunter. I'm actually very interested in history! We can learn a lot from history! Not by just staring at it languidly in a museum, mind, but by studying how ancient mechanisms worked (and maybe a few artifacts of incredible power), we could bring amazing things to the world! We could change the world! Y'know, after we've gleaned everything there is to know for ourselves.
Too bad Dr Henry Jones disagrees.

But that's where the fun comes in right? It'll be a grand ol' rivalry! And I'll look great doing it!
We'll have a great time!
Also puzzles.

The first part doesn't have that ridiculous power leves.

It could be done although not by me if you limit it to that, and then you might leave the rest for an End Jump. The same applies for Umineko, I/O, Demonbane or any other ridiculously powerful VN.

As long as you limit it, you don't need to waste the settings because of 'muh powerlevels'.

And besides, weeaboo Nazis are pretty fabulous.

Ange is dead on the inside, whichever of the two endings you prefer. Battler will either never recover, or will suffer for regaining his memories. Eva dies soon after the ending.

The story has gotten even weirder, though.

For example, it was revealed that the Earl is Mana's Inner Noah that exited his body when he refused to become the Earl, and left him as the empty husk that later became Allen's adoptive father. And he also had a twin brother, Noah. Who for some reason became a Noah Memory. Because the first Millenium Earl spit in two.

It's pretty confusing.

I am the rat god of the road leading into and out of Pasloe and I'm taking it. I want to walk the earth, and everybody seems to know the little god of the little road, so I can always expect a welcome worthy of a pagan god. That is to say, not much and often unkind.

My companions had their big plans for this jump, though. Something about experiments in economic control to see it's efficacy over a ten year period. I didn't really pay attention so much as just lift heavy boxes and take care of the various animals the crew has adopted. We have an "owl", Toby's whatever beast, Roberta's armidillo, and the Choir's dragon already, so taking care of a second armidillo and Steven Junior II wasn't too much trouble. Anyway, they did pretty well for a first try. The world was only slightly ashambles for their interference.

"O Hai Tripitaka, got a few extra scrolls you might interested in studying and copying to take on your journey.... The Buddha's words written in his own hand.
Well, a version of your Buddha from another universe (it's a long story) but still..."

Just seems like the sort of thing that might be fun to drop into that world, just to see what happens.

How do you guys handle SPEED. Specifically when it comes to it interacting with size. Do you rule that you are faster than in base form if you're huge, or do you keep things simple and just keep a constant speed, regardless of other factors. If you don't keep it constant, how much does size factor into this?

Also, we have some sort of cult on the city-ships. We're not seen as gods, just immortal heroes of vast power that guide our people through times of trouble and rule their small worlds. So, they kind of venerate us as some sort of hero-saints to be emulated? So, people who want to be like Isaac will try to be stoic and work with the various machines on the ship, people who want to be like Arlissa lead their community and try to follow higher ideals, people who want to be like Asriel practice charity and gardening. We have a suggestion box and an administrative division to handle their needs, but we aren't unapproachable. We're really just busy and have lots of stuff to do, and most of us would rather meet at a restaurant table than in our offices.

But now I am divine, so the Holy Rites will be placed in the waiting room outside my office on the Light of Terra. It's near the landing area we cleared for portals between the Light and Kerykeion, so people can pop by to get unpossessed or just say hello. I'll double the budget for the bowl of candy outside my office for it and everything. I'm in maybe one day a month, but people who have suggestions often take candy, and my secretary will now have to be qualified to conduct exorcisms.

Uh...

See, a discussion of our actual size is gonna veer into quantum mechanics, relativity and shamanism but it's not important anyway because the part of us that interacts with reality isn't necessarily just a roughly humanscale Bose-Einstein/Dirac projection piloted through metaphysical quantum tunnelling. There's energy fields, there's the idea of ourself being transmitted through the collective consciousness, there's hyperdimensional topological distortions when we need to bring in a few dark matter tentacles. Because of our true body's scale travel occurs more through bending space around us than actually traversing it, except when we jump. This even getting into the complexities of innate causality magics; have you ever run so fast you were always over there and never left?

Then there's teleportation. And we're not just talking about digitisation, or spatial distortion (portals or otherwise) or mere FTL-that alone is achieveable with photophysiology and Time Alter supplemented by other innate temporal research. We're also talking about spiritual synchronisation between the principles of Enlightenment and Judeo-Christian soul-powered instant transmission. About digitising the Bagua and running it through infinite calculations to render distance as a concept, subjective. About singing the language of the stars, using it as a lever for wave-fold technology simultaneously attuned with the very vibrations of the universe, through which Skaldic mysticism and the Verse shape the very fabric of space-time to be more easily traversed.

...

...we are doing a terrible job of explaining this, aren't we.

Okay, let's start over:

Every time we take a step we're basically bending various laws of physics into unrecognisable messes. Our base form was sacrificed long ago. Speed has become a meaningless concept, especially whenever we sing or pray.

Y'know what, we're just gonna let Dr Gaster explain:

Chalice of Kali 1400
Just Shoot Them 1200
Bowling for Boulders 1000

Free choice for location so I'm going to grab the Ark of the Covenant, put it in a crate and hide it in the warehouse.

Took the cheaper Cultist options. Symbol of God is the spear as my main weapon is a spear (or scalpel when it's small). Sight of God is there as whenever a perk has something about hallucinating I tend to take it, think it's a funny response to a lot of antagonistic types. Feng Shui is a really good charisma boost for the price, location specific but good for holding court.

Took the entire Nazi tree. Free options are well enough, would have paid for Foolish Thule if I'd gone for another background. Putting on the Reich was for the aura of sharpness more than the uniform design, imagine I'd probably get someone else to do that really. Did Nazi That Coming is basically super gestapo the perk which could come in handy, useful whenever you've got a big organization under you as well. The Trains Run On Time makes my underlings work harder which is good. Lotta incentive to get some underlings.

Leeroy Jenkins (Jamaican bodyguard) gets some more plot stuff. I mean he started as a Brock Samson type and he's become increasingly ridiculous due to stacking these sorts of choices.

Pimp cup and swag for free.

Chalice of Kali lets me get some underlings on the cheap. Might use it on some of the more Naziish Nazis. Start a weird Hindu cult within the Nazis that takes it over. Might be fun.

Teleport Circle from any D&D jump fits the bill. Easy to set up and relatively cheap to make permanent (or even free, if you're enough of a munchkin).

It's a magical artifact woven from the fabric of the astral realm by cosmic beings to crystalise all their might and wisdom-effectively the concept of a technological singularity embodied in an glowy oblong.

In the hands of a man, it can bring prosperity to the world and open gates into strongholds hidden in normally inaccessible realms of existence.

In the hands of a god, it can destroy all life in a realm.

The most impressive feats performed were by a) their young God-King and b) a mad genius with a perfect memory and an artifact of pure Wakfu implied to drastically amplify his powers and (more than) compensate for a missing arm. If you haven't already, watch through to S2 for the most glorious shounen portal fight ever animated.

It's hard to explain without spoilers but-interplanetary portals, rapid creation of portals enough to reflect attacks from all directions, MASSIVE portals larger than buildings between not-Hell and the world, portal-based flight fast enough to break through timestops-and with the aid of said artifact, portals used to imprison an reincarnating immortal in a void between worlds.

Right. With both Bayonetta and Indiana Jones out of the way... there's something I've been wondering about.

A while ago there had been talks of trying to get mib to do a Warframe update. Since there had been a tremendous amount of lore/item/Warframe additions and there was some interest in getting the jump changed to reflect that. For a while there was nothing, until mib posted in January:

http://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/44702658/#q44720065

In that same thread I had said that if no one had gotten around to it by the time I finished the two jumps, that I would be hoping to take a crack at it. I also said that if someone else claimed it in that time, that it's all theirs. But no one has done so. ...so I'm asking the thread for permission if I can take up that offer to update Warframe.

Admittedly, with how MUCH the setting as changed, there's a lot that would need to be changed as a result. So I'm going to lay out what my plans would be: http://pastebin.com/zzGB25zq

All of my hopes for the updated jump are right in the pastebin. At the same time however, I understand that it may not be a wanted act. After all, it would be changing the jump a lot... any old builds would inevitably have to be changed quite a bit. Plus there's the potential drama that could come about as a result, and heavens knows we've got enough of that.

So I'm asking you all. Whether I touch it or leave it is strictly up to your decisions. Whatever the thread consensus is, I'll abide by that. Until such a decision comes, I'm not even going to open a file.

Shortly after landing in this world, I inadvertently pissed off the mob. This was exacerbated by my total inability to feel bad about it, apologize, or act in any way unlike a spoiled cat. People now avoid me and dislike doing business with me because I am actively being hunted by the mob.

Also, I think I just trivialized [C], whenever that gets around to being done.
So, there, you are all caught up.

I have also added yet another perk to me "literally every cute perk" repertoire, and have an exceptionally soft and beautiful cat tail.
Aside from dramatic rooftop battles against the mob as I sought to tear them asunder or at least make them leave me alone, I probably mostly looked for some place to loaf around and accomplish absolutely nothing with my life.

So, kindof like an attempted vacation jump, except constantly interrupted by the mob being dicks.

Well... that's why I was nervous about just going ahead. On one hand, I want to keep a fair amount of the perks in there. On the other... literally half of said perks can be smashed together into a Mod system, because that's specifically what the mods DO. By condensing it into a single mod system I literally turn 1000+CP into something like... 400CP. Which frees up points for everything else.

But hey, that's why I'm asking people. So they can tell me to shut the fuck up if I'm being a retard about this.

>>46060256
To be fair, Orokin Tech DOES make guns shootier if you compare their Prime versions to their regular versions. But I should have clarified that it's still offering Orokin Tech... it would just let the tech augment the other things.
>>
>>46060001
>any old builds would inevitably have to be changed quite a bit.

Why don't just update it and let people choose what Jump they want to use?

That's the problem with updates. While adding content is good, having to change your bluff because the author changed his mind about something is really frustrating.
>>
>>46060001
On the one hand, mib requested that the person who takes it up break no one's build, and you intend to redo the whole perk-tier system.

On the other, this needs some serious rebalancing and fluffing. I can barely tell what anything does and quite a bit of it seems to be out of wack.

So, you have my vote for your changes. I just request that even though mib was... his own thing, you do what you can to keep it intact. Respect him even if he was a bit shit, I think is the way to go.

Who said she'll be removing things? Sounds like the options will still be there but they'll be done in a way that is easier to make actual warframes with, not just Xbender, where X is health or ...

Look, I'm not going to change your mind, and to be honest I don't really see where you're coming from. Taking the most negative opinion about someone trying to make a good jump out of what is widely considered.... To not be a good jump... She even has permission! Yes builds will have to be redone, but that would happen anyway, unless you're enamoured with your current build.

Would you be happy if there was an option beneath the go stay move on section that let you get nothing from her part of the jump and then just had Mib's jump copy pasted below to use instead?

Does the museum attach to the warehouse, or is it a building that appears in each new jump?

So question.

Civilization. The Big E drawback / not-so-drawback where he's just a fellow civ in the world.

>>46054376
Does the Spear of Longinus do anything else besides removing all of your supernatural stuff and giving it to Hitler?
>>
>>46061279
I guess that depends on whether he drags all his baggage with him to Civilization as well. Is it just him? Does the Warp exist? Will Orks some day invade the planet? Or is he just by his lonesome, able to lead humanity to a new age without interference?
>>
>>46061279
Good question. I don't actually remember anyone trying. Logically there would be at some point, but for some reason it's never come up in the past.

I'm honestly kinda indifferent. I reckon having the Emperor as a companion is its' own challenge.
>>
>>46061279
As I understand it, that not-so-drawback was supposed to be a joke... Atleast, that's what I remember?

And you'd have to convince him to go along with you, instead of doing his whole shepherding humanity thing. Which... might be a bit hard.

That said, personally, I think that it could lead to great shenanigans.
>>
>>46060957
Well, the in-game fluff states that "You gain MP using gene manipulation" and "Magic dominates your body" and the perk says "Your body is now so full of magic it's impossible to tell where biology ends and your supply of mana begins."

From one perspective, when you run out of mana, you'd start burning away from your magical pseudo-organs to cast. But you damage yourself anyway when you overcast, so that's more an explanation of how, rather than casting from life force.

Jumpers have determined it for themselves both ways. Use your discretion, and I will never call you out on it.

If there's a perk to let you use power forms longer than their normal limits you could be a neon conduit and take energy form.

>>
>>46061895
Darkstalkers
Blood Magic

Your physical self is an existence held together by your own will. With this perk, you render your body

into a state akin to liquid, like blood, water, ichor, liquid metal and so on. Your blood and body becomes a

highly dangerous thing not so much a weapon as a multifunction tool.

You may control your blood and body, shaping both into weapons. Magic that runs off of blood is now

stronger in your hands. You also now have the choice of how much you bleed from a given wound not at all, to

normal mortal appearance, to gushers for the purposes of spreading your blood around. If you possess

Transformative Wings, your blood now counts as a limb for the purposes of that perk.
This perk enhances all forms of shapeshifting, allowing you to change into a form and maintain it indefinitely at no penalty, but cannot override preexisting perk time limits.

Then go to SimAnt and get CHEAT MODE- Ant Man. Finally, go to Princess Bride and buy Dread Pirate Roberts and I'll Most Likely Kill You In The Morning.

Use Sword Plant to mass produce Blue Crystals, you're going to need a lot of evolution energy. You can also get it from eating biomass, so infinite food perks may be useful here. Go to Worm. Listen To My Voice with the Touched By The Protoculture capstone booster lets you communicate with extradimensional entities. Dread Pirate Roberts means that you can convince anything you can communicate with to teach you, and I'll Most Likely Kill You In The Morning means they won't just kill you. Invasive Species lets you evolve to mimic the traits of any life form you encounter. So communicate with the shard controlling Leviathan, and use its aid to help you evolve into a pseudo-Endbringer using Invasive Species. CHEAT MODE- Ant Man lets you apply your full power at any size, so that will let you get around the need to be a giant extradimensional biocomputer. Now, having become Leviathan's equal, challenge him to a fight.

I would like to put on record that when some jackass from SB comes by with an attempted replacement B5 jump that I did try to avert it. My apologies whenever he gets around to it, those with an SB account may want to come by to explain how stupid his idea is. >>
>>46063980
To be fair it's more that I'm very leery about getting into a prolonged argument with him because while he can't just go use mod powers to bane me, his presence on the other side will mean if anything does come to mod attention I'm the one far more likely to take blame. Also what with knowing the system better than I do he's got a lot clearer lines of what's acceptable (see continuing our last argument despite a post from another mod expressing we should calm down). Meanwhile the bit I mentioned previously about why you shouldn't create an account for this is because SB clamps down hard on stuff at all resembling board invasions or the like.

Oh that works because if you take the perk for that it basically makes your eyes look like glowing rainbow lava lamps. It works because your body is basically made out of chaos instead of the normal flesh. Its just chaos that currently is doing a REALLY good job acting like flesh, so good that there is basically no difference. so basically it comes in 2 flavors, Iris only so its just glowing rainbow lavalamp irises, or full eyeball so take the one in your pick and make the entire thing a glowing rainbow lava lamp.

I in particular am not a good choice for arguing this since I have had a previous blowup with him, but thought someone else might be willing to give it a go.
>>
>>46064130
That's pretty gay.

Credit where it's due though, it's not the worst plan I've seen, and my main source of skepticism comes from the energy requirements they'd need to get up to a spiral galaxy's mass entangled across a multiverse into some bullshit energy projection-not to mention the massive assumption of the Shard even being capable of helping you get that far rather than become something like Echidna or Lung.
>>
Is taking a chaos god as my parent in Percy Jackson a good Idea? What would I get from each? Would it just be the obvious
Slaanesh- Induce pleasure
Nurgle- Spread plague/sickness
Khorne- Invigorated by death and combat

Or would the fact that they feed off of the emotions of the galaxy affect anything?

For the big abilities (just getting the big ones down, I'll flesh out the remaining bits if you want more on a particular deity afterwards):

Slaneesh's would be an odd softcap variant where you progress quickly to top of field (by normal human standards) in a few days of concentrated effort and keep going but it decays back down when you move onto something else (skill retention perks won't help much because you're more losing a buff instead of losing skill you worked for, you keep a decent amount even, just not nearly what you had at your height), also some more stuff along the lines of enhanced senses, mutations and so on.

Nurgle would be doing similar stuff to Angira Mainyu's poison abilities only with disease and fungus (slowly build them, and then create Daemons from sufficient concentrations), other than that he does durability, healing, mutations, and probably some more stuff.

Khorne would have enforced combat as his big ability, you find a worthy foe (or foes), lay down your challenge, and from there neither of you can flee, use magic, or interact with others until one side is dead (note that while it can be selective it's tiring to take more enemies in, and you don't get allies). Attempting to use it for stuff other than its intended purpose will backfire. He'd also give a ton of combat buffs (including mutations).

Tzeentch would be the most generic of the four, mostly just making you smarter, giving you precog and prophecy, and better at magic. He doesn't have a flashy capstone ability like the others. Also did I mention the mutations?

Okay, good to know.
Thanks, Aionon.

I'll be taking the iris only option. I mostly wanted to know whether I'd be able to walk down the street or not. It also seemed a bit much, considering I'm taking it without the discount.

I mean, technically I guess I can disguise it anyway with all my OTHER shapeshifting perks / illusions / holograms / etc, but even so, full on empty portals to chaos where my eyes once were seemed a bit gauche for my "true form".
I am weirdly vain about stupid things.

Could you do Darkness and Nyarlathotep from Lovecraft please?
>>
>>46064482
>>46064351
Oh right, got carried away making cool stuff for the chaos gods. For other jumps with the appropriate gods a thorough examination can find it but it's more akin to a distorted echo than what the actual god feels like. So you're noticeably similar to those associated with the god but have notable differences, think a pair of brothers a few years apart, you can see the resemblance but if you actually look at them you can distinguish the two fairly simply.

From there it depends on the deity and how you present it. No it won't mean easy inroads for Chaos (some of the behaviors encouraged by the abilities might, but you're not starting off with massive security flaws in your soul), but it may get you shot at, but that applies to pretty much any jumper power in 40K.

What gets really fun is when you picked up a Divine Relic, they're of similar status but it's far more notable to have a decent copy of Mjolnir than to have powers resembling Thor's.

I'd guess UCS is slightly better baseline but has issues with losing chunks of skill if you go against your virtues. Lugh's useful because unlike some of the skillmonkey gods he's got broad domain without having to fulfill conditions other than studying the skills. Some others will exceed him in various fields but most of them will have either a limit on what skills they're good for or odd drawbacks.
>>46064827
Nyarlathotep would get you shapeshifting, lots of magic, more magic than you really should learn, did I mention the forbidden lore inherent to the magic (even if it doesn't fry your brain tends to not be pretty), charisma boost, the ability to transfer your knowledge to others within LoS directly (bit troublesome to do at combat speed), the ability to create sort of avatars of yourself (masks) that you can channel demigod powers through but aren't great in a fight, and the ability to keep track of your various cults and send masks to them when they call on you.

The Darkness I'm not as familiar with and from what little I've heard ventures dangerously close to the "No omnipotence" and "It must be a pantheon" rules, but am not sure on either.
>>46065038
Nah, that's Path of the Gods domain. Though the "all the forbidden lore" bit means you can probably do that anyway, just not have them follow you post jump.
>>
>>46065279
Oh yeah, and just to be clear the recipient of the knowledge does not have to be willing. Their cooperation makes it faster but you can just start dumping some of your forbidden lore into the minds of others, it's just a bit slow by the standards of combat.

I am currently trying to figure out a way to "install" magic into universes where magic does not exist. So far my ideas on the matter involve using Amazo backup (YJ)+Cobra-La (G.I. Joe) tech to create an organ that allows creatures to use whatever magic system is in place. Let say for example Mushoku Tensei where it is a biological feature to use said energy that permeates the world. I figure that adding in Leaky Limiter (MT) to allow others to always train up their mana would be beneficial combined with Harbringer of Magic (LoSS) to allow magic to function scaling off the personal reserves of creatures. Problem with that is humans on a macro scale likely wouldn't handle phenominal cosmic power from LL well. My idea for that is to genetically engineer mana factory herd creatures with above abilities to scatter across the planet thereby filling the world with it. Installing the ability to use magic with harbringer should work for humans minus LL.

Any glaring issues here? Aside from figuring out how to mass surgery into humans, and make the organ pass down genetically. Any tips on improving the idea?

>>
>>46065070
For reference his other stuff would be extreme skill at combat, durability and strength that actively improve the more damage you take and deal (alongside everything else), tactical insight, berserking, control over spilt blood, combat mutations, and magic resistance. The 1v1 me IRL power can be overwhelmed with absurd force but will generally hold decently for anything short of a very determined god, though it is tiring afterwards if you're straining it severely.

In terms of drawbacks I think Darquesse may be worth more than 400CP (well.. depending on what 'level' she's starting at and how quickly she'll advance). A bloodlusted Argeddion is DEFINITELY worth more than 200, at least in my mind. They are scary, scary people.

And the tiniest of tiny quibbles: As I remember the most powerful sorcerers live in excess of 1000 years, not 500.

Oh, and any ruling on Truenames? I kind of really want it, but it feels like it might be opening a can of worms.

Allright, thanks Anons. Might be another hour before I post it(I want to hammer the rest of the perks first) so in the meanwhile, here's the Muppet expy capstone:
>Anon the Jumper here!(600cp/300cp): You know EXACTLY who you are, and you know how to make sure others know too. This not only provides a defense against mind control, but allows you to identify yourself to others. Let’s say you’re fighting a shapeshifter, or your evil twin. Normally, there’d be a part of the fight where your companions would try to help, but not know who to help. Not anymore. With this, you can make sure they know who’s who, making the enemy’s disguise useless. This also works if YOU have been transformed.
>>
>>46065663
>>46066065
Oh, and I'm kind of wondering about "no skin, just bones" in other junps - is it an alteration to my base form, an alt-form? Do you just keep the benefits but get to be fleshy as well?

And I'm kind of curious about "color-coded cleaver". How much damage can we take? Am I good to keep going after my head gets ripped off?

And (I swear, every time I go to press send a new point comes up) any chance you could add the magical symbols thing in there? I'm not even sure if i'd take it, I just sort of want the option.
>>
>>46065920
Necromancy. Damn, this is like the forth draft; how did I miss that?

>>46066045
Just keep in mind that necrophilia is forbidden love.

>>46066065
Darquess'll be starting at the level of her initial appearance,so you'll have time to deal with her before she goes full godmode. You're probably right about Argeddion; I'll bump the points up.

As for True Names, I thought about offering it as a 1600 CP option with a built-in drawback and capping it at a certain level, but ultimately I think that'd be too much trouble. What I'll probably do is add a note that if you discover your True Name, you'll get the full powers and Darquess' growth rate Post-Spark.
>>
>>46066151
I'm going to say the skeleton perk is an alt-form, but if your arm gets ripped off or something, you can shift into that form, pop a new one in, then shift back to another form and be good as new. Color-Coded Cleaver won't let you survive having your head destroyed or ripped off, but you're effectively immune to trauma, blood loss isn't a problem, and you regenerate fast enough that walking through a wall of bullets isn't that big of a deal.

As for magical symbols, you mean China's magic? I thought about it, and I still may do it, but there's no real details about how it works.
>>
>>46066065
Oh, and the 1000 years thing - that actually does sound right, now that I think about it. I was honestly using the Wiki as a refresher, since it's been nearly two years since I read the series and I think it said 500.
>>
>>46066129
Is that a thing for the Muppets? I'm not saying it's bad, I just think I'm missing what it's connection is to Muppets or children's television.
>>
>>46065279
Is the magic thing a one-time knowledge implant or do you get more forbidden magic knowledge if you go to other settings where magic exists? Or would it manifest as a sort of aptitude for magic and forbidden things?
>>
>>46066377
Well. part of it is the old quote "Kermit the frog here!" So, I sort of based it around that, that instantly identifiable greeting "Oh hey, it's Kermit from the Muppets." The other part of it is that in the newest Muppet movie, Kermit had an evil doppleganger, so that made me think, "Oh hey, what if I combine the two ideas to make the capstone? An identity perk to counteract those kinds of situations?" Is that not a good enough reason? I can change it, if it's not a good connection.

>>
>>46066433
That makes sense. When you put it like that though, I wonder if maybe adding something about knowing who you are allowing you to be/create a distinct, instantly recognizable persona would work, and then the other stuff follows as a consequence.

I'm not that anon, but because it's the Children's Show jump, I might focus on what it means for that jump in particular, at least as far as fluff is concerned, with the added benefits noted more in passing.

> "You're recognizable! Even more than the show you're part of! Kids point at you and say, 'That's Mickey!/Bugs!/Mario!', and it doesn't matter what role you're playing, the real 'you' always shines through! As a consequence, if you're ever in a position where this normally wouldn't be obvious... well, it's a lot more obvious now. Even if someone pretends to be you, even if you're in a crowd of knockoffs, like a reverse Where's Waldo, the REAL you always shines through."

Progress report!

Mostly, I need you guys to look over a planned perk for Wadanohara Jump.

IT WAS MEEE [400 CP] - And they cannot believe it. After all, it's you, their best friend... right? You wouldn't do all those horrible things, would you? Well, let's just say you've got a lot more teeth to you than they could ever have realized. To clear this up, you've got a skillset perfect for pulling off perfidious plots now - a decent enough talent for disguise, a quick, sharp tongue capable of misdirecting the imperceptive and especially effective on naive children, and the insight into your targets to lead them along until you force them into that one sadistic choice, where no matter which path they walk, it will be rife with agony. Why, with this skillset, a shark could make himself seem to be a salmon until it was too late...

Spyro Legends can make you a 3km tall dragon with some time

>>
>>46066921

>>
>>46066921
Some guy figured out a way to make the LoT one of his alt-forms.
It has a base size of 16 to 32 kilometers, and a bunch of people found ways to make it even bigger.
>>
>>46066961
Wait, do you need something in special for that? Obito just sat on it and activated the Kamui.

But having your own natural rinnegan should give you the "assume direct control" option shouldn't it?
>>
>>46066961
Isn't Kaguya the Juubi though? I'd imagine she would try to hijack control from you, just like she did Madara, with Black Zetsu's help.
>>
>>46066939
I'm still not sure what to do for them yet, even Drawback-wise. Do I want one that has you start sealed inside the Sea of Death, or do I want the "your location is terrible" Drawback to have you in a regular deep-ocean trench?

I had an idea for a Drawback where you were briefly exposed to it and this mutated you so depending on your Background a different Bad Thing happened. Drop-Ins would lose the ability to heal naturally or magically and be in constant pain from boiling blood, Civilians would start hallucinating constantly and having horrible nightmares every night, and not sure for the others, but is that really right?
>>
>>46066782
You know, I've never actually gotten around to playing Wadanohara. I have no fucking clue if any of this is a spoiler but I'm glad I'm one of those assholes who actually likes being spoiled, just in case it is.

I really don't know what to think of the Perk itself, other than it being something I want to purchase on principle because of how useful it is in general even though I am a huge moralfag.
>>
>>46067033
Oh, yeah, Sal is a walking ball of spoilers.
>>
>>46067005
Nah, she's sealed on the moon, the Juubi just unlocks the ability to bring her back by becoming her vessel, but for that to happen Black Zetsu would have to be around to somehow force it., otherwise it's fine.
>>
>>46067023
As I recall, the Sea of Death acted as a prison for the Princess and her followers. Perhaps the drawback is similar to the one in Power Rangers, where you were imprisoned in the Sea of Death by the Wizard with them? And whether it was a mistake or justified would depend on your background? Drop-in and Civilian can work like you said, but if Sea of Death is a background, the drawback could have you act like the Princess, sort of like a vengeance obsessed psychopathic manchild who talks in a strange way due to your imprisonment?.
>>46067082
Really? I thought the Juubi was a Kaguya-possessed God Tree?
>>
>>46067169
The tree is just the syphon to suck all chakra/natural energy from the world and everything alive into a fruit. Kaguya is the godlike chick that ate the fruit first, and the Juubi is the chakra beast created by her power, beast which Hagoromo (the sage of the six paths) spent/burned by making the nine tailed beasts.
>>
>>46067228
That's strange. Was this revealed in the Boruto movie? As far as I remember, the Juubi was formed when Kaguya, driven by a lust for power, tried to reclaim her powers from her sons by possessing the tree, who thought it was simply the tree, with Zetsu revealing that the tree was just a tree with no thoughts or emotions till she possessed it.
>>
>>46067269
Wellp, I don't know what to tell you. Obito became the jinchuriki, then Madara, and both where capable of fighting Naruto and Sasuke for a while, until Black Zetsu came along and brought Kaguya back doing the vessel thing.

I figured, as long as I can deal with Zetsu beforehand or without him doing his thing I should be golden.

>>46067568
Thank you very much, good sir. To satisfy your curiosity, the plan is essentially to create Proxies/Avatars/ Vessels, which is why I asked for help with making copies of my soul, and recycle souls until they become strong enough to be Judgment eggs, at which point they will create their own proxies, until there is enough of them to make a night sky for a new universe, ideally before I reach the endgame jump. The Bomb is an attempt to increase the size of my own eventual Judgment form via adding extra material from the fuel sources of the bomb, along with collected energy/soulfire from about a hundred jumps.
>>
>>46067672
...whooooops.

Yeah I'm just gonna put those fixes in right now. Also changed 'Feng Shui' word to 'prostrate'. Derpity derp.
>>
>>46067714
Well now I feel stupid for that terrible timing. Would adding substantial amounts of mass and energy have any effect on a Judgment, or am I just going to have a apocalypse bomb sitting in my warehouse forever?
>>
>>46067777
Well, I'll tell you what I know about Judgements if that helps your plan.
1. Souls have weight older, stronger and brighter souls apparently need vehicles to move them
2. The Judgements are kind of big I don't really know how metaphysics works but stars are really really huge, hope you have the space
3. With this, comes massive ego in the vast regions of High Wilderness, there is only office politics
4. STARS. ARE. HUNGRY. See rule 22 of evil overlords list.

As long as you are fine with being composed of eons of self-cannibalism (keep in mind the diet of a Judgement), your plan works on both fronts.
>>
>>46067851
Thank you. I actually did account for a diet of souls, with a factory to mass produce souls which are the equivalent of the Personality Cores from Portal in terms of sentience.

Alright, everyone, here it is, the Generic Children's Television jump, or at least the perks. Here's hoping this works...
>>
>>46067971
Damn right!

Also, Gelel stones.

A chakra-like energy that needs no mental-physical discipline like ninja. With the added gimmick of turning you into a Halloween costume.

Also, they seemed to be in a pseudo middle ages like Konoha was on a pseudo old japan. So starting a revolution and profit my empire is easy AF.
>>
>>46068030
Can I have an Adult Swim perk?
>>
>>46068030
Looks good so far. You might want to change the formatting to tell apart titles and text, but no real complaints here.
>>
>>46068070
Hmm, I'll consider it as a general perk, but it'll cost you even if I do put it in.
>>46068075
Ah yes, this is my first jump, so if you could give me some tips on what formatting to use, that would be great. I was thinking maybe have the titles be bold, the sections bold and underlined, and the actual text plain, but I wasn't sure.
>>
What are some good ways to get interplanetary portals/teleportation as a power? I have the DBC, but sometimes you just need to suddenly shove someone into a star or something, y'know?
>>
>>46068171
I think the Eliotrope race from Wakfu could do that with enough buffs.
>>
>>46068131
Section titles should stand out for navigation, so centering, bolding and all caps won't put you wrong.

Perk/Item titles work fine as they are, as long as you clearly define the full costs and discounted costs. Some like to put descriptions like (200CP, Discount Etc), as long as they are clear.

Apart from that, don't mess up too bad or inject random grammar places and you'll do fine. Check out the jump Red above made for an example.
>>
>>46068030
Yeah, I'm definitely going to go Edutainment here, though I will be taking either Infinite Puppet Works or Anon the Jumper Here, depending on the severity of the drawbacks.

Also, I'd probably switch Graphic Violence and Learning is Fun, but that's probably because Learning is Fun is very basic and nice to have for the job, and Graphic Violence is actually pretty powerful with huge utility if you use it right.
>>

>>
>>46068171
iirc Door Lord from Adventure Time has no distance limit or requirement that you have been to the destination before.
>>
>>46068171
Samurai Jack Teleportation does specify that it makes portals when used for interplanetary trips. You do have to be able to see the target, though.
>>
>>46068131
I'd pay 800 if it means I wont have to live PG for ten years.
>>
>>46068264

>>
>>46068030
>you won’t need to fight at all: You’re job for this jump
>at all: You are job for this
A blight upon your house.
>>
>>46068183
That might work. It's magical in nature, right? Half of my build is focused on magic already, so it shouldn't be hard to buff it, if it is.

>>46068234
Any way to get around having to throw a key? Maybe if Real Eater could change the requirement to something like waving your arm.

>>46068263
Could work. There's some scrying power in the jump that synergises really well, isn't there?
>>
>>46068190
That seems simple enough. I'll look over the jump and post an update when I can. Items and drawbacks should be simple enough as well. By the way, Clover, I wanted to thank you. You actually inspired me to make this jump two weeks ago, though you may not remember it.
>>46068213
Yeah, that sounds about right. The funny thing is, that's actually how they were up until I buffed Learning is Fun, then buffed Graphic Violence. As for drawbacks, they'll probably be along the lines of actual hardships the shows went through, with the biggest being an expy of Mr. Rogers trying to save PBS from getting it's funding cut, where you'll fail the jump if it does lose it. Either that, or a dystopia, but that's the 600cp drawback with big alarm bells.
>>46068264
To be honest, I agree with this Anon>>46068277 As a matter of principle, I don't think any of the shows the backgrounds expy would go that direction. Maybe PG-13 for the Muppets, with some adult jokes here and there, but...
>>
>>46068311
And now you have me hearing the songs from Avenue Q.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCQGQ5qBQTA&index=16&list=PL2050A1C8B867C653
I'm still going to go for the Mr. Rogers Background though.
>>
>>46068302
N-no. NO. NOOOOOOOOOOOO-
Good catch, Anon. One of the most basic mistakes, which I caught myself everywhere else in the jump, but in the HEADER of all things...Oi.
>>46068303
Yeah, that sounds about right. Their God-King opened a portal to Not!Hell, and he was matched by one with an(admittedly powerful) magical artifact, so it SHOULD work.
>>
>>46068311
Perhaps have an indication that your show is not on 24/7, so there's some down-time for you to do preparations for your next show or do non-show related things? The other suggestion is that the font itself is a bit awkward for me to read.
>>
>>46068030
I'd like you to meet a friend...
>and they’re a good example, for it, or whatever.
Second comma needs to go away.
Graphic Violence is missing its price.
You too can paint almighty pictures. could use some clarification, like can I draw the cure for space cancer with it.
>All perks are discounted for their backgrounds, and you’ll get the 100cp perk for free.
This line means you don't need to add the free/discounted price on each individual perk, which can help clean things up a bit. You will want to add an "undiscounted" header if you do add any undiscounted perks.
Beyond that there is some uneven spacing between perks and as Clover pointed out the background headers are hard to distinguish, so centering them and maybe increasing the font size on them a bit would make it easier to recognize when scrolling through.
>>
>>46068311
Fine fine forget the thing then I actually read it as cartoon rather than morning tv
>>
>>46068303
Scry and die, yeah.
>>
>>46068171
I think it's possible to learn the Second Magic in the Nasuverse. That should be able to pull it off.
>>
>>46068311
Make sure to specify that you can't just fund PBS yourself. I took approximately 0 business perks and I could buy half of America with a week of preptime.

Also, an Avenue Q drawback like >>46068341 would be pretty great. Teaching jaded adults how to get through life is a very different challenge than teaching kids, and having a different audience for your night and day jobs would mean twice the work and having a very difficult time managing your reputation to keep the show afloat.
Though, if it doesn't fit, it doesn't fit.
>>
>>46068341
Now there's an idea....
>>46068365
Hmm, I'll note this in the background section, that should help. What fonts would you suggest I use?
>>46068368
Fixed the first two already, but thanks for pointing them out. I'll clarify that you can only paint things you understand, so painting the cure would only work if you already invented the cure. I'll edit the prices and work on the spacing/formatting. Thanks Anon.
>>46068432
Right, I'll make sure to note you have to win the case and not fund it yourself. The Avenue Q drawback actually is something I'll add to my notes. About how much cp do you think it's worth?
>>
>>46068467
I would say +100-200, since compared to a lot of drawbacks it isn't that bad, and some people would want it for the sake of it.
Also, try Antic Didone.
>>
>>46068467
>you have to win the case and not fund it yourself
Oh dear. Well, if mining asteroids is out, I may have to resort to some methods Mr Rogers would not have approved of. Capitalism, ho!
>>
>>46068548
Alright, 100-200, got it. As for the font, it looks good. I'll try posting the new build tomorrow. By the way, how would a drawback that gives you an Oscar the Grouch type character sound?
>>46068554
Well, if you CAN use the perks from each background to an effect. You just have to have some charisma, is all. Also, no bribing or brainwashing. What would the children think? (Though that IS pretty clever.)
>>
>>46068630
>Oscar the Grouch
I would honestly include one in my show anyway. It's important for kids to know it's okay to be grumpy sometimes, or want to be left alone, or just have a different sort of culture and life from others.
>>
>>46068630
>Also, no bribing or brainwashing. What would the children think?
Whatever I tell them to?
>>
>>46068711
So, I guess what I'm saying is "I don't know", but a drawback that forces a hated character archtype into your show is probably a good one.
>>
>>46068630
I'd also include drawbacks that reduce your funding, one that requires you to abstain from adult activities, or make a live audience present and act like brats. You know, things that would make front page scandals.
>>
>>46068711
Hmm, that's true too. I was planning on having it as a 100 cp drawback anyway, but you're right.
>>46068733
No, bad Anon. You are not acting like the person Mr. Rogers knew you could be.
>>46068736
Ah, now this is much better. A Scrappy like character. Now that works as a drawback.
>>46068741
Those sounds good, but I'm not sure how the lower funding and the PBS funding cut would interact. Maybe one leads into another?
>>
>>46068779
>You are not acting like the person Mr. Rogers knew you could be.
Just wait until I teach the kids all about biology and medicine.
>>
>>46068846
That's more like Bill Nye, but Mr. Rogers would no doubt approve of it.
>>
>>46068892
I've been to Commorragh.
>>
>>46068892
I think he meant sex and drug 'education', not actual biology and medicine...

Out of curiosity, are there any perks that are good for resisting temptation inherent to race or personality. I want to go for a few vampire perks, but I don't want to deal with the blood drinking aspect due to that being kind of a dick move.
