LotLK Report, comin' atcha!

LAST SESSION RECAP:
>we found the norn we were tracking into adlet territory
>dead
>but she had a wand of cure light wounds and a prophecy about how we were totally gonna be kings, so that's nice
>we mourn her, the huldra getting closer to displaying an emotion that wasn't sass than she has all game
>moving on
>Murder the shit out of more adlets, one of which looked leaderish - not that we had a chance to find out, because the witchwolf decapitated him with her shield, Captain America-style, in the first round
>color spray color spray
>rescue some prisoners, session ends

THIS SESSION:
>proceed onward, find a room lined with a stone that dampens sound waves. Huldra makes the ID check, attempts to look cool while explaining, fails because she has to scream at the top of her lungs to pass on the information
>hilarious misunderstandings all around
>hilarious misunderstandings all around promptly stop when the Ulfen realizes there's a bunch of sleeping adlets in the next room
>oh fuck
>phew, we didn't wake them up
>coup de gras
>color spray color spray then ones that're left
>Travel down a bunch of stairs behind a waterfall (some more gracefully than others, the witchwolf loses her shield in the process)
>MORE ADLETS, the chelaxian cleans the fuck up here
>it's almost like they're goblin analogues in this AP
>see a patch of fungus at the end of a hallway, growing on a bunch of adlet bodies
>nope.jpg.avi.gif
>know (nature) check for shiggles, at least they're not those vegepygmy things. probably.
>give the shrooms a wide berth, come across the adlet leader, one of his shamans, and a couple of underlings
>GOOD THING WE HAVE THAT CLW WAND
>shitty rolls all around, like seriously four or five 1s in a row
>ooc discussion about how crit fumbles are bad and dumb
>enemies rolling just as badly as us, at least, which keeps us from getting minced when the leader (an initiator) starts busting out moves

That's why you ascribe personality to them beyond a single facet of their existence.

Same with any other character.

I mean, how do you make a Fighter, Wizard, or Alchemist a compelling character? The issue isn't druids man.
>>
>>46002778
Ever play a Far Cry game? Yeah, do a druid like that. Strip away all the gloss and sprinkles of whatever "modern" society is in the setting and make a character who's been forcefully or willingly reverted to someone who's living as an example of mankind in it's "natural" state.

Throw in some bullshit magic tatoos or animal-command powers and you've got a druid.

Which reminds me - There SHOULD be a construct eidolon archetype you could slap rockets and cannons on.
If Construct Rider gives your a zoid, this should give you an Iron Man suit

This. To some extent. I find that being a druid is more interesting when it's less about worshipping nature and more about rejecting society or civilization.

Because DnD is DnD, doing this gives you magical powers. Whatever.

Okay? Anon said Druids are "muh nature". Those are examples of things that are beyond the standard hippy druid.

If this is that anon, then you're being awfully picky. But here:

You are the child of a rich merchant who worships a dead god. By partaking in the flesh of a customer, you are able to take on that customer's form. You are able to get these customers with your incredible magical Charisma. Once you have amassed enough riches, you can then take on the form of animals with which you take your pound of flesh.

You have suckered the spirits of the land to aid and protect you, with strange fetishes and materials acting as your bargaining chips.

There. You're a spiritual Shylock who also eats the essences of people and animals.
>>
>>46003081
Kind of. Although, essentially all the Far Cry games since 3 have (maybe even farther back than that) have been about what happens to people when their humanity starts to be replaced by their savage sides. Primal is kind of a bad example actually, because that's what's needed to actually survive in that setting as a baseline, you don't get that sense that anyone in Primal has actually lost or given up something to be the way they are. In most typical fantasy settings, druids are the exception, not the rule.

Any DSP Dev lurking this thread?
I have a question regarding the Aegis's Ranged Attack customization.
1) Can I add weapon enhancements to it? How?
2) Can I increase its attack range?

But really, they should have made a Psionics Augmented: Aegis since this class also needs a good boost as well.
>>
>>46003282
Aegis is one of the most solid classes in existence, and only gets more with every goddamn thing DSP puts out, since they can gank from all of it.
>>
>>46003282
>Psionics Augmented: Aegis

They could start with a Gifted Blade Aegis archetype.
>>
>>46003326
Don't forget - War Soul Aegis with Iron Tortoise, Broken Blade, and Eternal Guardian
>>
>>46003142
3 was definitely the start of that, 2 was about being a merc in an African war zone, you were supposed to be a little crazy from the outset, 1 is about killing genetically modified super monkeys on some shit hole pacific island.

Short version: no, and no.

Long version: Ranged Attack was the result of some well-intentioned but ultimately very poor design decisions on the parts of the bossmen that we've all learned lessons from, but is now in that awkward territory where it's too crystallized to replace. We are all /so very sorry/.

I can't make any definite statements on if there'll be more or better support for ranged aegii in the future, but I believe Host of Heroes might be able to help out a little?
>>
>>46003349
Damn shame. Was hoping to slap enhancements on them until they resembled Ironman's Hand Blasters

Have you considered throwing in a Psionics Augmented: Aegis though? Or the would the avenues of ideas be far too limited compared to Soulknife?

Thanks anyways, Gareth

Could be good, but remember that the Aegis actually needs those power points to augment his suit. Unless that archetype removes the Augment Suit class feature.

>War Soul Aegis
Definitely good. In fact, I'd want this a lot for reasons.
>Iron Tortoise, Broken Blade, and Eternal Guardian
Too defensive. If you played an Aegis, you'd know they use their armors to BOOST mobility
>>
>>46003383
Not a problem anon. As far as PsiAug: Aegis, it's an idea that's been bandied about but it's not precisely high on the priority list, primarily because of >>46003303

Though to expand on that, it's honestly /really easy/ to get inspiration for Aegis stuff. Aegis gets a lot of material because it lends itself so readily to cool ideas with low-impact availability...which, admittedly, we have to keep an eye on.

Still, between customizations and archetypes, Aegis is wonderful to design in and for, which is why it gets so much love.
>>
>>46003471
You know, I never really had the Aegis gel with me (Synthesist Summoner caught the Kamen Rider/Guyver bug for me first) but it's cool that you're open about just digging designing for them.

With the exception of NPC stat blocks for the final section, which will be written during playtesting, Lords of the Mists: the Midway Faire is just about ready to be released into the wild for playtesting. I'm going to rope some unfortunate victi- I mean volunteers into giving it an editing pass, clean up some of the wording, and then get that fired away within the week if at all possible - fuck, /tomorrow/ if I can arrange for it.

Bean sidhe will be part of that; it does not currently reflect changes based on the feedback I've already gotten.

Ah fuck. I took too long to write this all up, and posted it in the last thread. FUCK.

So here's my idea for a player race. For my campaign/world I'm working on, players will have access to these guys. Their name is the Seer Kind, a placeholder until I figure some OC donut steel weaboo sounding name. They're pretty much the Miraluka from KOTOR2, the race of the best waifu. I mean, psychic people with no eyes is just a great fantasy idea, I think. So here's my stats for them. I realize that they got some pretty powerful stuff, so if you can think of anymore penalties for them, tell me so I can slap them on.

http://pastebin.com/KXsXgkxV

So yeah. The idea is that they're a race of eye-less, "kind of," humans that are pretty Psychic and have a history as being Oracles, fortune-tellers, Seers. Today, they live in hidden communities, and sometimes deliver cryptic fortunes and messages to people. They study the stars, the past and the future, being quite detached from the Present.

Historically, they have a history of being a big evil empire that enslaved their human subjects, with the Seer Kind forming the ruling class. So the hate against them is somewhat justified. And there are even smaller hold outs of evil Seer Kind out there.

So that's my shitty OC donut steel race.

Can you please work on the wording? The stupid hurts my brain.

You put too much emphasis in your third eye bullshit, that you could sound less autistic if you pored over the wizard spell list to find a similar suitable effect.
You didn't even specify how it works against obstacles and cover.

Window to the soul really needs a rewording. And its pretty much similar to DSP's Eiremian SLA.

I'm only familiar with core. How do witches and arcanists work?
>>
>>46005045
Witches are the Druid to Wiz/Sorc
By that I mean they have a more specialized spell list focusing on enchantment/illusion/natural magic
Your choice of patron expands this
But otherwise they are Int based prepared casters with a familiar that counts as their spellbook
The big draw is Hexes which are often powers that replicate spells are used to debuff/cost no slots

Arcanists are an abomination
Int based casting from the Sorc/Wiz set
They prepare a list of spells, then cast spontaneously from that list (effectively getting the best of both worlds)
They also have a pool and exploits that can range from increasing DCs to a free metamagic feat that you change once per day

I'm not familiar with arcanists that much myself but as for Witches.

They are an Int based 9th level caster with a prepared spell list. What makes them different from the wizard is that they prepare their spells through their familiar and not a spell book.
In addition to their familiar they choose a patron, an unknown source of their power that revolves around a central theme (speed, enchantment, etc...) Which provides bonus spells.
Another thing that Witches get is hexes, little standard action debuffs that weaken your enemies (misfortune, evil eye, etc...) or empower you allies (fortune), there's some utility hexes that aid the witch on their own (flight, prehensile hair, etc...)
Their spell list is OK, not great in my opinion.

Can someone clarify I'm reading this Augmented Blade thing properly?

>Improved Psicrystal Augment - Magical or psionically enchanted weapons that possess special abilities that are not normally on the soulknife’s enhanced mind blade list (such as bane) are temporarily added to that list for use by the augmented blade when using his psicrystal augment class feature, and the enhancement bonus applied to the weapon by that class feature increases by +1. The augmented blade must be at least 4th level to select this blade skill.

Does this essentially say that if you augment a weapon with an ability that's not on the soulknife list, you can temporarily add it to your list and you get a free +1 to help pay for it (If you want to)?

And this means that even though Augmented Blade overrides any magic abilities a weapon has and treats it as masterwork, you can get use out of having a weapon of Bane (Vegetables) because it gives you a free +1 without needing to add Bane (Vegetables) to your weapon?

Just follow a personal code of honor as determined by your faith and god, ultimately HE is the only one you answer to.

'Lawful' doesn't mean you have to obey unjust or outright evil laws of every country that allows things like slavery and baby-eating whatnot. I don't know why GMs think that this is some ultimate trap. Your god should only expect you to obey laws made by just and legitimate rule, as determined by you, your code, and your faith's doctrine.

Always do the right thing, even if laws of man are telling you otherwise. Especially then.

Of course, always talk to your GM beforehand and let him know that's how you roll as a paladin. If he's against it from the onset then just play something similar without a falling/failing clause.

>>
>>46006520
Wasn't advocating that either. Just that a paladin has to understand the world around him and not be played in a vacuum, like most people do. He needs to understand that if he's going to a land where the law is fundamentally against his code that he either needs to be prepared to wage a shadow war or just not go in the first place/get out as soon as possible. He should still work to slowly change this problem however he can, even going to the root of it if possible, but he needs to know what he can and cannot do.

Keep in mind that we play the 'paladin' as a class in a RPG using basic modern morals and the paladin's code often mirrors that. Slavery and forced servitude (as opposed to willingly submitting to service or done as just punishment) being bad in general is part of it. Now, I'm not here to argue if that's a good or bad thing or if I agree with it. I'm just saying that 'paladin' in the rule book in most settings is built to be closer to modern morals/ethics than as they actually were back then. Since we're talking about a paladin in the context of Pathfinder (in a PF thread), most view slavery as an evil thing, a view often backed by the system and setting itself.

Not saying it's badwrongfun if you want to play a shining knight character in a setting with sanctioned slavery who doesn't see it as wrong (and therefore no need to look the other way).

I plan on using planar binding to summon a vrock into a magic circle (augmented to stop teleportation), then kill the vrock to obtain a corpse. I will then animate the skeleton as a bloody skeleton with use of a voidstick for a regenerating monster with 5 natural attacks.

My question is, how should I go about soling the vrock? I don't know if I can count on my party members for support, and I am a 9th level (soon to be 10th level) wizard.

It is if you view it strictly as whether or not it is legal and permissible regardless how people feel about it.

It stops being that when people start to view the ontological implications under it.

We see this on Golarion when just about every country (Cheliax, Irisen, Nidal) and past regime (ancient Osirion, Thassilon) that held slaves are associated with evil. Those like Jalmery and Katapesh that aren't considered wholly evil tend to have those elements of them associated with evil. Every spell and magic item associated with slavery has the evil descriptor. Slaver races like gnolls and derro are almost exclusively evil. You'll also notice that all the deities, devils, and demon lords with slavery in their portfolios seem to be evil (and monsters, Leng and the Dominion of the Black comes to mind as well).

I'm not aware of much slavery in outer planes of lawful good or neutral good. Most labor seems to be done willingly or by automatons/golems.

Honestly I might want to just advertise on /pfg/ for play testers.

I use roll20 and am in PST. The Adventure Path is made to accommodate a variety of alignments, but leans neutral.

I've posted the shitty unedited player's guide before. I have an edited copy, but not on this PC.

At the beginning of the game you are a set of individuals on the western edge of the nation. Disappearances have been spiriting people away from farmsteads, growing worse until entire towns are vanished in the night. You, as a group, need a vested interest in this disappearances.

The world itself is freezing, small nations clinging to the shores of a volcanic sea. The overarching plan actually had to pass through every nation on the Streaming Sea, and eventually move beyond it. Large portions of the game will be spent in back alley organized crime intrigue, with political strife.

I am unsure how much of the overall plot to reveal to players, but I can explain a system in the adventure path.

"Pieces of Truth" and "Realizations". Essentially there are objects in the adventure path, pieces of information, and people who have assigned "truth" values. These truths put you along several advancement tracks towards realizations. These realizations give you insight to the background happenings that drive the plot. Each piece of truth has associated skill checks to unlock it's value to put towards your total. Once you go over thresholds important NPCs (or the players depending on if they take a specific prestige class introduced in book 3) can garner realizations.

It's a way to insensitive grabbing what ever information you can and giving it to your contacts.

If you want I can go ahead and explain the entire plot outline of the 6 books.

I'm rambling, but I should also mention that it uses DSP NPC and players are blanket ok'd to use published DSP content.

It has very limited access to healing, but that's not the same as no access.
>>
>>46010360
That's what Arcane Savant is for. Nothing quite like stealing divine magic as a wizard and then using Blood Money to fuel Restoration spells, making you even better at using Restoration than the actual Clerics that the gods intended to be using it.
>>
>>46010360
Infernal Healing?
>>
>>46010360
This is a silly way to justify it as most healing is invalidated by a wand. Remove Disease/Curse/Poison + Curing Ability Score Damage is what you get out of Cleric/Oracle that matters.
>>
>>46010354
Paragon Surge, Human favored class bonus, Page of spell knowledge.
>>
>>46010354
I mean, you get to all 9 levels of casting, so yes. Sorcerer's drawback is they have a very limited library to pick from themselves--you have to cherry pick from the spell list for your known spells, and then that's it.

Wizards can conceivably write every spell ever published in their sixty three and a half spellbooks, which is what gives rise to their vaunted flexibility (which is really the source of their Tier 1-ness).
>>
>>46010482
Every spell ever printed is ~150k gp for the lot if you're entirely borrowing other's spell books for it.
>>
>>46010428
Well.. Wizard can use Break Enchantment for curse. Poison and ability score damage can be fix with Summon Monster.
>>
>>46010395
How do you feel about Martial Traditions? Was going to use one to pick up an alternate discipline and some related benefits on my Rubato. Can take the trait if you'd prefer, but it might give me an excuse to be involved in the adventure prompt as well.
>>
>>46010507
Cypher Script and Blessed Books can help with that... Although I'm not actually sure how much money you end up saving with a Blessed Book, since there's still a limit on how many pages it has.
>>
>>46010482
What's up with Arcanist, then?
I've heard it's meant to be better than Wizard but still ends up not being as good?
How's all that work?
I'm just looking to be the best spellcaster I can be, here.
>>
>>46010354
Absolutely.

Its easy to lose perspective on the sorcerer and others like it with all the emphasis and focus on the prepared casters, but remember this:

You can still break reality over your knee and make it your little bitch. Does the wizard have more options than you? Maybe. But you're still a plane hopping meteor throwing superstar. You're freaking amazing.
>>
>>46010587
Arcanist is, mostly, better than wizard at levels when it has access to the same level of spells, so about half the time.

>>
>>46010656
Oooh, how exciting!

>>
>>46010587
The arcanist's trick is that it combines the wizard's breadth of spell knowledge (i.e., it uses spellbooks and preparation) and the sorcerer's casting versatility.

With a wizard, you have to plan out exactly which spells you're going to carry for the day. Didn't prepare two fireballs? Sucks to be you after you spent the first one.

With a sorcerer, if you just plain don't KNOW fireball, haha you're shit outta luck.

Arcanists can prepare fireball, then spend zero, one, or up to all of their level 3 spell slots/day on it.
>>
>>46010726
Shit.
>>
>>46010726
Well, you've got Chill Touch as a 1st level spell. I'm pretty sure there are probably some other, higher level spells that will do it too. So it's at least possible.

>>
>>46011047

>>
>>46011077

>>
>>46011047
Sorcs who aren't Draconic need the option to do the same for their ancestors.

Why should Dragons have all the fun?
>>
>>46010656
This is exciting, and I'm still giving what's presented a good read-through, but I did see a couple things that jumped out at first glance:

>Daoine Sidhe, Immortal Swordsmanship
Does the maneuver gained herein count against initiating class' limits on known maneuvers? It's not written either way (I'm assuming "Yes").

>Daoine Sidhe, Fey Sorcery
What's the saving throw DC based on, Charisma? Again, unprinted but assumed.

>Daoine Sidhe, favored class bonus options
Some of these look highlighted. Should I just ignore that?

Daoine Sidhe looks like another awesome race, though. I wish I had more games to play all of these in (ethumions are also high on that list).
>>
>>46011104
People dislike it because of all the caster levels it skips. You get cool stuff in exchange, but it's cool melee stuff, melee not exactly being something that sorcerers shine at. I guess you can enter it from Bloodrager now though.
>>
>>46011120
>Does the maneuver gained herein count against initiating class' limits on known maneuvers? It's not written either way (I'm assuming "Yes")
Why would it? It's effectively just an additional level 1 maneuver known, except that you can never trade it up.
>>
>>46011104
You lose caster-stuff, but the class isn't really enough to make you good at melee, so you end up being not really one or the other.
>>
>>46011120
> Does the maneuver gained herein count against initiating class' limits on known maneuvers? It's not written either way (I'm assuming "Yes").

Yes.

> What's the saving throw DC based on, Charisma? Again, unprinted but assumed.
SLAs default to Charisma unless otherwise stated, yes.

> Some of these look highlighted. Should I just ignore that?
I, um. I have no idea what that means. Nothing's highlit on my end.
>>
>>46011162
Because it's kind of a big advantage versus other races, at least at lower levels, even if the maneuvers *readied* number doesn't change?

Mostly I'm asking 'cause I'm a sucker for maximum clarity, because I've gamed with some real slick rules lawyers in the past.
>>
>>46011162
It counts for the whole "you can't know the same maneuver twice," rule though. Which is what I believe anon was referring to?
>>
>>46011194
Couldn't you just start out as a Bloodrager like >>46011152 recommended and mitigate that though?

http://i.imgur.com/6L1ShDp.png

That's really all it is. Was curious if there was a significance or not, but it sure don't sound like it so I'll count that as answered too.
>>
>>46011195
So, wait... The gained maneuver is basically useless to initiators then? I could just take the maneuver normally. Why the hell would I want this?
>>
>>46011262
In case you don't play an initiator. If you do, take the veilweaving alternative feature instead. Easy peasy.
>>
>>46011215
Oh, I read it as effecting the maneuvers known. As in a level 1 Sidhe warder would only get four maneuvers, because they got the fifth from their race.
>>
>>46011221
You basically trade BAB, caster levels and class features for some ability score bonuses and form of the dragon 2/day. I'm not convinced that it's worth the trade, though.
>>
>>46011262
>>46011323
It doesn't count against your total number of maneuvers known, no. You still get the full compliment from your class, plus the one from your race.

If you've got ideas for how the wording might be clarified, I'm quite open to them. I'd hate for this confusion to persist.
>>
>>46011389
Well first of all, don't say yes when someone asks if that's what it means, if that's not what it means, on account of that's the only place the confusion came from

Just add "this maneuver does not count against your total number of maneuvers known" and you're set
>>
>>46011463
You've my apologies.
>>
>>46010894

Where does the idea that fae are vulnerable to iron come from? I have a homebrew setting where the reason is because fae souls are created inside stars, and stars basically die when they start fusing iron. Someone told me that was a novel take on the idea, which is the first time I've really thought about why they might be weak to iron in the first place.

How come there isn't a CHA-based FULL fullcaster? You know, like Wizard or Cleric. One that gets a bajillion options.
Sorc/Oracle come close, but not close enough, with Paragon Surge.
Meanwhile, INT and WIS have multiple classes that do that stuff!
Where's the justice?
If I want to be the most magic I possibly can while still maintaining CHA as my main mental stat by a whole lot, is my best option really Sorc/Oracle? I think Summoner is worse than them, right?
>>
>>46012893
Because Paizo associates CHA with RAW MAGICAL BLOODPOWER and RAW MAGICAL BLOODPOWER has to be spontaneous or else it wouldn't be RAW MAGICAL BLOODPOWER.
>>
>>46012893
You've got your terminology a bit wrong. Fullcaster just means getting 9th level spells and a full spell progression, which sorcerer and oracle do get.
>>
>>46012893
CHA gets you UMD, so you pretty much do have everything.
>>
>>46012893
There was the 3.5 class from Dargon Mag called the Sha'ir. It made bargains with djinni friends and the djinni fucked off for a few rounds or minutes and collected spells for you and let you store them for a few hours at a time. It's kind of OP, but it's fun and flavorful

>>46012893

>>
>>46013036
Yep.

Alternately, play a Gunslinger with the Bolt Ace archetype, and dual-wield Repeating Crossbows; at level 11 you fully reload them at the start of every turn no hands needed.
>>
>>46012893
INT = ALWAYS prepared, because you have to learn prepared casting.
CHA = ALWAYS spontaneous, because the force of your personality can bend the magic around you but doesn't mean you can learn how to manipulate it with more finesse (like wizards).

More or less Paizo's view of it, I guess.

Sage Sorcerer?

Everyone's going to tell you not to do that. I disagree, Metaforge is awesome, even if it's a weak option.

Soulknife 4, Aegis 3, take the feats to progress both.

Your build is a bit illegal.

Soulknife has the precogs.

Where does it say invigorating suit?

Pathfinder has a prestige class with a similar idea called the Daivrat, but I don't know if it's any good. Gets 9/10 casting progression, a free improved familiar, and free Elemental Focus/Greater Elemental Focus, so I guess it's probably okay.

>>46013188
Eh, fair enough. You could pin that up on one writer doing his own thing and it getting to slip through the cracks, but I don't know that's actually the case. But if Sage Bloodline did make you a prepared caster, it'd basically just be a wizard. Sorcerer and wizard have too few class features to differentiate them otherwise.

I still have never seen anything as clunky and pointlessly convoluted as that thing anywhere before or since, and I have read a LOT of needlessly overwrought homebrew whose only purpose was muh unique mechanics. I am 100% certain that it saw zero playtesting or even the briefest of experiments.

Hello /tg/, I need help.
I'm looking for feats, spells, powers or class features that let me add damage to attacks the farther i moved in the turn because i'm making a character with ridiculously high base movement speed (aegis/barbarian/monk/nomad/elocater, stuff like that) but the only things i can find are leaping charge (that only works if I jump) and saddle surge (which is useless to me since i move on foot). the rogue scout archetype allows me to add sneak attack if I move, but it's a rogue and requires levels I'd rather spend on anything else. Anything I might use? 3pp allowed

>add damage to attacks
i meant damage
either way it's fine anyway

>mfw took pragmatic activator and dangerously curious traits to get UMD as a class skill based off INT, and operate operationally with a wand as the party's primary healer as fucking wizard.

Who needs a sense of right and wrong when you can do everything?

Does anyone here use Hero Lab?

Take a look at Path of War. Harbinger from Path of War Expanded gets some ridiculous potent combat movement (as in, free movement when enemies move, teleport-and-attack powers, teleportation or flight as a movement mode, etc etc), and I think there's powers in there that you can trigger whenever you move.

Oh man, that class. I thought the whole pet elemental thing was kind of cool, but that was seriously the most absurdly convoluted spellcasting mechanic that D&D has ever had.

In actual play, arcanists are strictly inferior to wizard because they get spontaneous spell progression. If you play entirely at one even level or at level 18 or higher, they're the same.

But arcanist doesn't get scribe scroll for free, and holy shit are scrolls great if you have even a little leeway to use them properly. You know how people want a class that can do shit by throwing dosh at everything? That's wizard. Buy spells known, pay to craft scrolls of situational spells, have a solution for literally goddamn everything if you're optimizing hard. They don't even cost much, so you can pinch them out super quick with a valet familiar and unfucked Craft rules.

What's it like to have to wait ANOTHER level to unlock every single level of spells past 1? Are you enjoying you 2nd-level spells at level 5? Suck my dick, sponateous-progression faggot.

You can't take Student of the Astral Suit with that setup. You need Aegis 3 to get Invigorating Suit, which is the prereq for the feat.

Soulknife 4/Aegis 6/Awakened Blade 10 is the bee's knees.
